Jake and Jim’s Quality Plumbing

They are currently trying to steal money from us. THEY ARE NOT LICENSED.  They left a job incomplete because they didn't know how to fix it. They then took a payment for a job and did not start it. They are frauds and disrespectful.  They lied and said a permit was pulled. They think they can get away with theft because of the contract which isn't binding. I will get back every dime I paid them in court because they stoke a down payment and fraudulently worked on another job. ​

CAUTION: I hired Jim and Jakes quality plumbing for a three-day main sewer line replacement job in April 2022. I hired an excavator separately to save money on the project. The first day on the job Jim showed up in a mustang unprepared without the parts to start my job. This was the beginning of the many delays to come...  On three occasions Jim called off the job for emergencies.  He used no safety shoring, and my hole was 12 ft deep. The hole in my yard was open for a month!! Jim did not have access to a camera snake because the companies was broken...The laser to measure the fall on my line was also not in working order. Luckily the excavator was able to check that. My contract required an inspection be done before the job was complete. Jim took 2 weeks to submit the plan to the county inspector!! I thought I was going to have to find another plumber to complete the job but after threatening a lawsuit they finally got their s*** together and wrapped things up. Jim actually left my job to fix something for my neighbor while he supposed to be working my job! I was unable to use my house bathroom for nearly a month and am 6 months pregnant!... I would not recommend these guys. They are not professional and frankly do not seem to know what they are doing. My excavator had to supervise the plumber the WHOLE job. Buyer beware. It is not worth the cost in stress to work with these guys.

PREDATORY COMPANY. 100% ripped me off. Quoted me $1875, then 15 minutes later upped the quote to $3200 (because I was in a pinch situation and they are greedy). They were going to dig up the city sidewalk to fix a water main. I asked, point blank, Doesn't the city handle things like that?, No the city 'doesn't care'. Thank GOD I spoke to another plumber (whom I trust) told me these people were ripping me off and to call the city. PGH20  came out THAT NIGHT and almost completely resolved the problem in less than 48 hours. I paid $575, for them to do 15 min. of work at 6pm ('after hours emergency fee') that was supposed to be partially credited towards this $3200 dollars of work. The 15 minutes of work they did at an astronomical price  actually messed up the valve and I had to have another plumber fix it. This company would have charged me $3500 for a job that ultimately ended up costing $500 out the door. Also, they openly lied to me and when I confronted them about it, peacefully and repeatedly, they only doubled down. Plz don't use this company. I regret it.

Jake and Jim, bless their hearts, came to our home to fix a pipe that burst on December 24!  We were so relieved. They charged a premium due to the holiday, but they worked efficiently and showed us the finished result.

Hired Jake and Jim's to relocate kitchen water line. All work was done very professional. Jake was very responsive in answering all my questions, and in completing the job on 5-18-2022.

Hiring him this week for next project!  Very happy with his work :))

We would give zero stars if we could!!!
We contacted them regarding a backed-up sewer.We paid $275 for the service call,at which point they scoped the sewer line with a camera and recommended the sewer line be replaced.We agreed and paid $2.025 down payment, at which point they proceeded to replace a sewer line. So absurd, they replaced the sewer line on the wrong property. Rather than replace the sewer line at 869 ... ave,they replaced the sewer line at 874... Ave. We were told that the dispatcher provided the workers with a wrong  address!!!We still don't understand that!Further,they assured us that they would correct this.But nothing has been done!!!
It has been already two months and we still didn't get our money back!!!

BUYER BEWARE!!! They do not seem to be legitimate. They told me the necessary first step to a plumbing job/problem was to run a camera and indicator to locate the problem. When I insisted that they start with the camera and indicator they all of a sudden didn't want to do either. Yet they wanted to take out the old trap and relocate a new one outside to bring it up to code while never confirming that it was bad AND put in a new line all the way to the curb while never confirming that that was what was actually needed. Additionally, they quoted one price at the beginning, but later tried to increase the amount without identifying any additional work that was needed. Lastly, I live out of town and when I wanted someone in town to oversee the project/job/ work they backed out of the job having never run a camera or indicator...Again, BUYER BEWARE!!! As for the rating, the only reason that I give it a one star is because the site will not let you choose zero stars!!!
