I have a Gillece story that will take the cake.  Called them a few days ago and made an appointment.  No big deal.  They showed up on time and seemed cool.  Checked everything out and told me that I had extensive damage and that it needed completely replaced ASAP!  I listened and told them that I was going to get a second opinion.  Dude seemed pissed and tried to make a hard sell again.  Told him I was going to shop around and said I would give him a call if we decided to go with them.  The guy then pushed again before I cut him off and told him to go.  Asked him to shut my garage door because that's where he insisted in coming through at.  Out of spite, he left my door open and both of my dogs escaped.  Both were hit by a vehicle and died.  It cost me $95 for a shitty estimate and $2390 in emergency surgery costs to try to save one of my pets today.  Thanks a lot Gillece.  They are terrible people and are going be hearing from my lawyer. My wife and kids are heartbroken, but Gillece got their $95.  Please do not call these fools.  They are irresponsible and spiteful.  Stay away!

I bought my oil furnace and air conditioner from Gillece. I have not had an issue with getting them to arrive at least
In the appointment window until now. I have had 4 appointments this year and everyone of them they missed or did not arrive on time. The 3rd one, they finally showed up 4 hours late and couldn't finish the service because they needed 3 parts. Two are standard with a oil furnace check and one was not.  I have been waiting 3 weeks for the 3rd part and had an appt. between 8 and 12 today. At 2 I found out that the supply warehouse sent the wrong part and that they were trying to figure out another way to get it since it is closed today. If the furnace wasn't under warranty I would cut my losses now and go to someone else. Don't make the same mistake I did, use someone else. They aren't even BBB accredited and don't care to be either.

They sent two men out two months ago, they were nice, did the camera on our furnace. Said there was nothing wrong but a tiny bit of corrosion on the flame sensor, Not worth bothering with. The heat would come on but struggled to light sometimes. Yesterday, had another guy come out to check furnace and look at our air conditioning, since it's getting warmer. We had heat when he arrived. He looked around, came upstairs and said we needed a completely new furnace, ours was shot, and air and that it would cost $11,000 to replace them. I'm sick, i'm disabled, i was alone. I didn't want to argue. He told me, we could start today, get your husband on the phone. I felt very pressured, i didn't want to make him angry. I just kept listening. He finally left. I had heat when he got here, i have no heat since he left. Im sick, handicapped, and i have NO HEAT now. It's 53 degrees in my house this morning. This causes me physical pain. I don't know if it's just this salesman, or if this is the game they play. I'm not happy, i was very uncomfortable, and now i'm cold, and have to call another company to come, cause i don't believe i need a whole new furnace. This is unacceptable. Beware, i think it's a game for them to sell you things you don't need, and i think he left me without heat, so i'd have to call him back here, so he thought. Watch out for this.

So, I'm searching the yellowpages and Craigslist for someone to come and repair my home heating boiler.  I find an ad that touts professional, free estimate, and prompt service.  I call the number and the nice lady says there's a $95 service charge to which I reply the add says free estimate.  She proceeds to tell me that there are a lot of shady ads on Craigslist. (Really?  Who takes the time to load a full ad with company graphics and all to spoof a company their not work with...oh, and you have to confirm the ad by email).  So she says they will send there boiler specialist out.  6 hrs later, the guy shows...he looks at the boiler, says yep, it's not reading your thermostat, Imma need to go back to the shop and get the book for this one.  I'll be back tomorrow.  Yeah well tomorrow never comes.  5 days later and 6 phone calls, I finally get in touch with the operations manager who tells me that he got the message, but it was his day of and well...you know, it was his day off.  He then proceeds to quote me a price that exceeds what I paid to have the boiler installed.

Beware the bait and switch pricing and poor customer service!

Tried calling because my basement drains had 2 inches of water and were draining at all. It was Saturday evening around 6 PM. Site claims they have 24/7 service. First got stuck with an answering service. Then when they finally called back, said they couldn't get anyone out until Monday. So glad I went with someone who actually does have 24/7 service. I will never use Gillette.

Don't waste your time waiting for them to show up. First day I was rescheduled because they were overbooked. Second appointment 2 weeks later was 4-9 time slot. Got a call at 8:35 saying that a tech could leave right now to service my address which was an hour away. No apologies from the scheduler. She just sounded relieved. They should spend less time on advertisements and more time servicing scheduled customers.

Horrible company. Mr Will took scare tactics to a new level. Said we have a collapsed pipe outside. We MUST have a professional like him fix it or we could be fined $10,000 a day!!! He told me he's seen people lose their homes over it! Said the township will NOT allow us to dig down the 3 feet ourselves. Really? I called the township and the Sanatation authority just left my house! They said we are fine to dig! Was even told Gillece is a rip off! Mr Will claimed to be the best in the company and that everyone requests him. Said he'd only charge $8,000 to $10,000 to dig down 3 feet and replace maybe 10feet of pipe. Never even tried to unclog the other problem drain but charged us $49 for it. He really tried to take advantage of us. We will NEVER use Gillece again! Zero stars!

Furnace needed a simple repair. (same type of repair that has been in the past by reputible companies in the past) But these guys come (four and half hours late and over nine hours after initial call) and immediately start parts of my furnace that have nothing to do with the problem. Then proceeded to tell me I had a crack the heat exchanger and needed a new furnace. (they as in two of them one a high pressure salesman and the other an actual repairman) I saw no crack even though I could actually touch what they said was a crach ( it was perfectly fine) After a heated argument of them stealing my furnace fuse saying the furnace was unsafe and a new one would be $5000 I showed them the door. Stay away from Gillece! Find a reputible repair company by word of mouth. Not Google!

I hired Gillece Services to replace all of my outside patio lightning and Jay W. was our service pro.  Jay went above and beyond our expectations.  He is not only professional but very good at explaining the job, quotes and spent the entire day rewiring and putting in new LCD patio lights.  I couldn't be happier with his work and feel fortunate that I picked Gillece to complete the job and lucky to have had such an experience Service Pro.

Thank You Jay W.  We look forward to using you on every and all future electrical needs!

I had a problem with my air conditioning unit that I discovered when testing it's readiness to combat the expected heat waves of summer. At that same moment as most of us do I was wishing I had family member or close friend in heating/air conditioning business to take that personal interest in my problem. Alas, as this wasn't the case for me I took a chance and called Gillece.  Eric Walters, their service technician, got my air conditioner up and running again in a timely manner allowing me to look forward to a worry-free cool summer. This was accomplished with the added bonus of the friendly relatable manner you would expect from that friend in the business you wish for! And not to be forgotten! Reasonable charge.  I am a happy customer of Gillece and Their Technician - Eric Walters.  Eileen Hyland

Horrible experience.  Made an appointment for 11/6, to get routine maintenance done on my furnace.  Gillece calls me up that morning to tell me they cannot make it because other jobs are running long.  I made the appointment on 10/26-really.  I reschedule for morning of 11/11/15.  I had to call Gillece 2:46pm to tell them no one had showed up, nor had anyone called.  The rep told me she'd send someone out later this afternoon.  I get a call at 7:37pm that he can come now.  Well, I'm not home now, but I have been home all day long.  This is ridiculous. I won't be doing business with these guys. Hard to believe this place has been around as long as it has with this lack of service.

I have a sump pump in my basement. Every area, except the laundry room wall, worked well and I never had water come into my basement. Even though my laundry room wall had a collection pipe that led to my sump pump pit, water still managed to come in through my cinder block. I called Gillece to see if they could determine why my laundry room was still leaking water during a storm, despite having a pipe to collect the water and drain into the sump pump pit. They originally said the can come out the day I called. That didn't happen. They did come out the next day. I told the tech my problem when he got to my house, and he came to a conclusion, without even looking at anything. He said water is coming in through the cinder block wall because the pipe that should collect the water is crushed and is now egg-shaped. He said I will have to do the following: Dig up all of the cement, drill holes in the cinder blocks, install a new pipe, and cement over everything. He said it would cost $2,500. Price was too high, so I looked elsewhere. I ended up having my buddy come out, dig up a small piece of cement to try and see what was going on. After doing so, he determined that the holes drilled in my cinder block were clogged. The pipe wasn't crushed, it was ok the way it was. So I paid my buddy $1,000 to dig up the rest of the cement along the wall and unclog the other holes drilled into the cinder block. He also drilled a few more holes into the cinder block to make sure no water got stuck in the cinder block. After the work my buddy did was completed, I never had another drop of water in my laundry room. I dumped hundreds of gallons of water outside my laundry room wall and the collection pipe and sump pump worked perfectly. No water in the laundry room anywhere. So my message to Gillece: You charged me $65 to tell me that my pipe was crushed, holes needed to be drilled into my cinder block and a new pipe had to be installed. All was told to me without even doing a thorough inspection. FYI: The pipe wasn't crushed, holes were already drilled into the cinder block. Holes drilled into the cinder block simply needed to be unclogged. If you're charging $65 to do an inspection, not a guess, then do an actual inspection. Never would I recommend you to anyone.

My experience was terrible. In response to a sewer back-up in my basement they came out three times in 48 hours and never got around to getting to the problem. The first time they sent the sewer guy, but he need a plumber to remove the toilet to get the snake into the soil pipe. He was to see that a plumber came the next morning to do so. After calling to inquire his whereabouts, someone finally showed up at 3 pm. He was ready to remove the toilet but didn't have a snake! When I calmed down he made some calls and left. Another guy came at 4 pm with a snake but he apparently was also not a plumber. He also didn't have the right tool to remove a clean out plug that was recessed in the wall and asked to borrow my tools. Since it was so late in the day by then he promised that they would do right by me, rearrange schedules and have two guys at my house the next morning. At 11:15 the next morning, having received no calls, I called their service and cancelled them. Fortunately, my efforts had opened the clog. They never did anything beyond plunging with my help, did not open the clog and did not get a penny from me.

Beware! Make sure that when you call for emergency plumbing that the send a plumber with the right tools to do the job

But don't call them.

We had a HORRIBLE experience with Gillece.   My 75 year old mother had a plumbing problem - they came in, tried to fix, and quickly said it needed $12,000 to excavate the floor and replace the pipes.

We called another plumber, and they fixed the problem in 30 minutes for $125.

I called other plumbers - Gillece charges 2 to 4 times what other plumbers charge.  Other plumbers wanted $500 to water jet the pipes -- Gillece wanted $2,000.

Other plumbers said it was very very unlikely the lines needed excavating - and if so, would cost less than $5,000.  Gillece was $12,000.

Beware !!!

Do not go with this company !!  They will rip you off !!!  I was almost ripped off and I'm a young 27-year-old first time home buyer!! I called them to replace a thermostat and outlet plug when the gentleman got here he didn't even look at that he wanted to go straight down to the furnace and the air-conditioner and he spent 2 1/2 hours trying to tell me  bunch of crap about the home inspectors and how they didn't know what they were inspecting.  They then wanted to charge me $12,000 for an air conditioning unit and heating system what you can get with  another company for around $6000 !!!  The gentleman spent 2 1/2 hours here  talking.  Not even the best part they took a camera system  to the heating system and tried to say there were cracks.  He had me so worried And that carbon dioxide was going to leak out.  He had me apply for two credit cards to that company .  He then proceeded to get my limit from 6000 up to $16,000  then when I couldn't go up anymore they had me apply to another finance company called red brick!!!  Thank God I got to seocnd opinions from people who I trust!!  I don't me that he then proceeded to tell me that the home warranty won't cover this and won't cover that and you need a new system!    Best is yet to come they then try to scam you into doing a Google review before they install the service and they'll give you something for free like a carbon dioxide detector!  That was a red flag why would you have me do a review when you haven't installed something .  They are a bunch of scammers and they will scam you out of a bunch of money !!  Please please listen! I Wouldn't believe any of their testimonials either!  People at my place of employment were telling me don't ever go with this company... Go with SCHULTHEIS brothers!!!

Terrible all around.  Hired them to snake or main sewage line.  The plumber came, snaked the line and left a pile of shitty toilet paper next to the main trap in the house on the floor.  He then recommended that we have someone come and run a camera down our line for free to make sure it wasn't damaged.  The employee was in our basement for no less than five minutes only to return upstairs to inform us that the only solution was a $15,000 job.  We asked if we could call him later to discuss and the employee informed us that nobody from the company would be returning to the house.  I don't believe he even attempted to cam the line. The next day we received a notification from the health department which I believe to have been out of spite.  Don't give these guys the time of day or your money.  They are con artists.

15k plumbing job that was worth no more than 8k. My insurance company laughed when I told them who did the work. Their invoice basically said will do plumbing work and the insurance agent itemized the work with me on my back deck to help me recoup a portion of it. They also finished the work when I wasn't home and never sent me a photo of the replaced house trap after I contacted them several times for it.

After reading some the comments below I thought I should share my similar horrific experience with Gillece.  We had a slow running powder room sink drain and called them. While the were there I asked to have our sewer drain snaked because we have had problems with tree roots in the past and snaking periodically keeps it from back-up.  We also had kitchen faucet to install(we already had the new item ready).  The plumber came started said he would run a camera to check the sewer drain.  Later I hear this noise and found him with a long crowbar pounding down the drain claiming he couldn't get the cameral through, they asked me to look and said the pipe was broken and we would have sewage in our basement.  He went ahead and installed the faucet, could not unclog the drain and said it would cost $16,000 to remove the wall install a new drain up to code.  We asked him to finish up and leave at which time he handed us a $1300 bill.  12 months later the sewer drain is running great (no treatment but cooper sulfate cleaner) and our new plumber unclogged the powder room drain  by taking out the vanity and replacing a section of pipe leading to the sewer for $249.

I tried to call Gillece for some simple electric works and I was told because I was a renter of a house that they would not come for a service call even if my landlord was there.  Despite spending thousands of dollars on billboards and advertisements, Gillece claims that they are simply too busy to service rental properties.  This is discrimination again those of us that cannot afford to buy our own home and it is a completely unfair policy.  I will not support this company in their attempt to extend class war by denying service to people that do not own homes.

Pressure sales tactics and totally overblown assessment and costs. Contacted them to do a maintenance check on the Central AC before summer. Serviceman was nice and was willing to talk to both my wife and I on the phone. Over the phone he was incoherent at times in his explanation and was unwilling to give simple options. His range was from a $600 patch that could fail within a month to a full replacement quoted at minimum $7,000 (which is insane compared to other companies). I clearly told both him and the manager who called later to give me until the following Monday to review the options and crunch the numbers. The next day I had another call from the office pressuring me to schedule the repair. Again, I said call me Monday. Within 15 minutes the same person called my wife's phone and tried pressuring her to commit to a service. The caller then said that I was being very inconsiderate when I got on the phone and said not to call again until Monday, as I told them 3 times before and that it's totally irresponsible when she just got an answer from me to try to circumvent me.

By the way, it's Monday and they never called back. I've already had another company come out and find none of the issues Gillece identified were problems, but did find another part that was clearly in need of replacement. Fun fact, as soon as I told the other guy the story he immediately knew it was Gillece without any prompting.

If I could give them zero stars I would.  DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE!  Not only were they going to charge three times what a local plumber would have, they were lying through their teeth about the need for the work!  I had a clogged drain that they claimed was collapsed pipes that needed excavating and new lines to the tune of $16,880!  A local plumber showed up and used a snake to unclog it for $200.  Even if I DID have a collapsed section of pipe, the prudent thing is a spot repair, not total replacement of lines.  THEY ARE CROOKS!  They pressured me to agree to the labor while my husband wasn't home, when I asked them to wait till he got there, the pressure got worse.  Once my husband did get home, the price came down by $2000 but the man became increasingly rude until my husband threw him off of our property.

Called to make an appointment to fix my boiler as we woke up without heat and have an infant in the house.  Was told by the dispatcher that they do indeed service boilers and would have someone out to address the issue between 12-4.  My wife calls at 3 to ask for an updated ETA and they say, we're sorry, the technician on call today doesn't service boilers.  Now we've waited around all day and will need to find somewhere to stay tonight since it's too late to hire another service.  Unbelievable.  Will NEVER call Gillece again and will gladly share my story with anyone who asks if I've ever used their service.

Heavily mixed for me, if it was just about Gillece service and treatment, I would be at a 1. However, the actual rep that came to my house was knowledgeable, fair and surprisingly upfront about my options. John Smith is an individual of great character who I would highly recommend.

As for the Gillece service, I will preface by saying that it was a polar vortex type situation so some delays were expected...but this was really unacceptable. I called on Friday morning at 8:30am for service and was told I could choose a service window of 9-12. While they were fairly good about calling with updates, the fact that they knew no one would ever be able to come in that timeframe and still offered it as an option was so misleading and frustrating. I had someone at my house all day waiting for a plumber who never showed. Saturday I received 2 calls in the morning advising they would try to get to me in the afternoon. The follow up call came at 9:36 that evening to let me know the status and that they would not be out that day. They rescheduled for Sunday morning. At this point I was ready to pitch them all together but they did agree to waive the service call fee (only after I had a big fit on the phone about their practices and pointed out that they gave me unrealistic time expectations on multiple occasions).
Finally I got a call at 7:30pm on Sunday saying a gentleman was on his way. Since this was not an emergency issue and they had mentioned being done by 5 on most days, I was taken unaware. All ended well but what a fiasco. They are just lucky my frozen pipe had not burst as I initially thought. By the time they showed up, it was no longer frozen.

Gillece says anything to get the deal. Had electric work done and went through the company they provided for financing because the rep told me I would have interest free payments for 6 months. Turns out that statement was false. The rep did not leave me with any paperwork for my loan even though I called and asked for it several times even before the work was completed, I received nothing. Maybe about a week later a card came in the mail from MySynchrony. I did not know what the card was for, I almost threw it away just thinking it was a company trying to get me to apply for credit. Good thing I called the number on the back because it was the card to my loan. This company also did not provide any paperwork or details, just a card. When I called they directed me to a website. The log in information they provided me with did not work and I had to put in a ticket to be able to get into the account to see my information. I also told the Gillece rep I wanted the lower costing option and he provided the higher costing service.

Called them to unclog our sewage pipe for their $49 deal where they say if they can't unclog it, there's no fee. The first Gillece rep didn't even have a single piece of equipment with him and before even looking at the clog and based only on the description of what was going on said I won't be able to unclog that, you'll need to dig up your yard. Two more visits (because they never had the equipment they needed) and they attempted to snake the pipe ONCE. The final visit they brought their closer salesman to tell us that we needed to pay $6K to dig up the yard and replace all the pipe.
Needless to say we got a second opinion. An actual professional plumber came out and snaked the pipe for maybe 20 minutes, and completely unclogged it for $145.
This company is unethical. Any deal they offer is only an attempt to get into your home, lie about what they can and cannot do so that you pay them thousands of dollars for services and repairs that you don't need. Do not call them unless you're really excited about wasting your time and money.

How this company managed to have 2 stars at the time of me writing this is beyond me.  I would have given them 0 stars if it was an option.  Their business model is to take advantage of those who dont know how much these services should cost.  My AC went out on a Saturday afternoon, and they were one of three companies that were able to stop out that day.  It was $95 for them to even come to the house.  They took the panel off my AC and saw that the Capacitor was bloated.  The cost for them to replace the capacitor was $450.  They told me that they could do it but something else could have caused it to go bad, and if that was the case it would be another $1200 to rebuild the motor or something else.  My AC at this point was 11-12 years old, so they gave me the option to replace it.  The AC they picked for me was a list price of $8200, but since it was the end of the season, they would give me $3000 off...so $5200.  I did my research and found that I could get the same AC, installed, with the same warranties, for $2500.  I told them to leave once I saw how much they were robbing people.  To make things worse, the sales man that came to the house was telling me about his appointment before mine.  It was a 95 year old man that was basically bed ridden.  They gave him the same deal that they offered me.  I dont know how these people live with themselves.  End of the story, I ended up replacing my capacitor myself for $12.  I will never call these guys again and would advise everyone to stay away from them.  The only way they get business is off those who dont know any better.

Can you give no stars?

I called them last night for the emergency service.  Waited an hour, never heard from the tech.  Called the service guy back, he said they can't get a hold of a tech. So I told them to schedule me for the morning. HE NEVER PUT IT IN THE COMPUTER! Called at 8am after not hearing from them at 7am, which a guy named Bob told me I would. They said there would be someone there between 8am & 12pm! Guy shows up at 12:30pm, I tell him the problem and he says I'm only doing drains today, I can't fix the broke pipe. I told the service lady exactly what I needed done and she sent this guy??? So they said they would send someone else. At 1:45pm, I get a call a tech is headed your way, will be about an hour. Told her to cancel it, called a local guy, they are fixing it now.

Advice: Call local mom-pop plumbers

Unethical business practices, especially dealing with the elderly.  High pressure for same day contract that was probably double or triple what it should have been.  However, the guys performing the job were extremely competent, friendly and did a good job cleaning up work area.

It has taken me a year to give this review, as I do not like to provide negative reviews.  I feel very strongly that this company is nothing but a scam.

I called Gillece about a backup in my sewer line in my older home. After many hours of analysis, it was determined that there was a collaped pipe that would need to be repaired, at a very substantial price. The technician came to repair the broken pipe that was causing a backup in my house. He was leaving as I returned home for work and I asked him to stay while I checked the area. This picture was taken AFTER he had made a repair and I did a test flush upstairs. I had asked for pictures of the broken pipe - he couldn't produce those. I asked to see the broken pipe itself then went to change my clothes while he talked to another technician - he left without another word, without showing me the broken pipe, while I was still inside the house. On top of the repair NOT fixing the back-up, the concrete work was the sloppiest I have ever seen - even getting splattered concrete on my walls.

TWO calls to the company after he left produced NO answers. The dispatcher finally called me the next day to schedule another technician to come back. I asked to speak with someone that could tell me what happened yesterday, and that I was not planning on using them if the answer was not satisfactory. I received that call two days later, but was just told there must be a SECOND broken pipe and they could come back and look again. Their estimate for the repair was $10,000 - 18,000, depending on how much line would need to be repaired.

Needless to say, I found a more reputable plumber, who found a solution to my issue (a belly in the pipe) at a cost of just $1,800. A year later, I have had no issues with the line.

I believe this company is nothing more than incompetent scam artists - stay away from them and review other local companies.

Called Gallece to snake a line. After line was cleared he sent down the camera down. Was told that pipes were in very bad shape. Was shown the picture or viedo of a pipe with a hole in it. I was then told that the work needed done right away and to dig up and replace pipe in basement would be 15-20,000$$. I proceeded to use my better judgement and get a 2nd opinion.  Another plumber came to house sent the camera down from every drain trap. Needless to say, no pipes had a hole in them and were actually in decent shape for being 60 yr old. Also told me that Gallece are famous for playing a taped DVD of someone else's bad pipes as you are watching. And then try and make the sell, as they work on straight commission. Really! WTF!
STAY AWAY from them and their website specials. Will be calling the BBB in the am to file a report.

If no stars was an option, that's what I'd choose. I had a water puddle about inch in my basement. I called Gillece to open the clog. They used their camera to see what the clog was. They told me there was nothing they could do, that I needed to replace the entire drain system. He said since I'm from this neighborhood I'll give a discount and it will only cost you $10,000. I chose not to except the discount and instead bought a $10 bottle of drain opener. It cleared the clog and I haven't had a problem since.  Don't waste your time or money with them.

Called on a Sundry morning for emergency plumbing (water coming up through basement drain and flooding basement).  Said we were first on their list and some one would call rapidly.  Two hours later we called to say no one called and they said don't worry they will.

Seven hours later on a Sunday night they called and said we aren't going to get to you today.  Wonder what happened to the second person on their list.  Luckily we had called a competitor early in the afternoon and had it fixed and cleaned up before Gillece ever called back.  Ignore the advertising - don't make the call.

I have spent almost $25,000 with Gillece.  I have two warranties with them right now(furnace and plumbing).  The furnace that is under warranty stopped working.  I scheduled a service call and they called me at 5:30 pm to cancel.  No resolution was offered and the woman on the phone was rude.  I asked for a supervisor and was refused.  I called back to get someone else and spoke to the manager.  He was hostile from the get go.  He refused to give me even his first name.  I was frustrated and asked for him to get someone out today as promised.  I tried to make a complaint with him but he kept yelling over me.  I begged him to work with me but he just kept getting meaner and ruder.  He then banned me from calling them and said they will not service my address even thought they are bound by warranty.  I called back hoping that they had a reasonable employee and the manager answered again.  He told me that if i call again they will call the police and I will spend 6 months in jail.  Now, I have to go through an attorney to try and have the warranty honored.

Update:  A different manager reached out to resolve this issue.  The manager who threatened me was acting outside of his role with the company.  Gillece has done everything necessary to resolve the issue and I am a happy customer.

Outrageous charges! I wish I would have looked at the reviews before I wasted my time. I knew as soon as the guy showed up and started his sales pitch before he even looked at anything that they were looking to rake me over the coals. Estimate was for installing a free standing gas stove with gas access directly overhead in drop down ceiling. They quoted a price of over $1,600 to run a gas pipe from drop ceiling straight down interior wall (not behind wall to conceal). When I laughed about the cost he asked me what I price I had in mind. I said $500 and he said the pipe and fittings would cost that much. Really! I might have been born at night but it wasn't last night. Needless to say they didn't do the job nor will I ever recommend them to others.

Came to the house quickly.  We were having systemic toilet clogging problems.  They took a look and said that it was a toilet problem ---too old and pipes to small.  They could replace each toilet for an incredible $1648.00 each!!!! And that was the super special deal.  It cost $65 to just walk thru the door, and then have to endure a high pressure sales pitch, and didn't even unclog the toilet!  A colossal waste of money and time!
Do not call these jokesters!

kaleb was great he was very helpful and honest. This is towards Gillece itself. the price was outrageous for doing nothing but telling us there was grease clogging the pipe from the previous owners. I specifically asked the first guy that came Scott, before we paid $1100, what would the outcome likely be. Basically what to expect for $1100 he said the problem will be fixed if it doesn't need dug up under the ground.  Okay I paid the money and when it was all said and done they had to call another guy if we wanted it fixed another $1500 to unclog the pipe ??!!! I was mad by then I felt cheated I would never recommend them again to anyone!  EVER! My husband went to Home Depot and bought grease and hair remover and a bladder. fixed it for $80 himself. For what they were charging 1100 PLUS 1500 for!

BEWARE THEY LIE AND OVERCHARGE.  Wow where to begin.  I had a ceiling fan light stop working two weeks ago and decided to have it fixed.  I live less than 5 minutes away from this Gillece plumbing, hvac and electrical company and as I like to patronize local businesses I figured we would try them out.  My wife and I both work so we needed a service appointment after 5:30 pm.  The initial phone call seemed promising.  I wasn't crazy about the $65 service visit fee but they told me this would be deducted from my bill anyway so I scheduled the appointment for the following Friday.  Friday morning comes and my wife and I both get phone calls from Gillece at 10:30am trying to reschedule our appointment for earlier in the day.  A bit irritating since I clearly told the gentleman when I made the appointment that we both worked but no biggie.  They called later in the day and said they couldn't make the appointment and wanted to reschedule for early the next day (Saturday).  Again irritating but things happen, no biggie.  Saturday comes the service tech come and diagnoses the problem, a loose wire, good I don't have to replace the unit.  Well then it gets interesting.  This guy tells my wife the bill is $195.  Apparently this guy wants to charge for a trip charge of $65 and a flat ceiling fan fee of $125.  Not at all what the guy who made the appointment said.  My wife said no.  (good for her)  She asked what the hourly rate was.  The service tech LIED straight to her face and told her it was against the law for him to charge her a hourly rate because of some made up PA statute. ( I looked there is none).  We ended up paying $125 to fix a loose wire and learned a valuable lesson about never using this company again.

Awful customer service. I had an appointment scheduled for Saturday between 12-4. I got a phone call at 3:45 saying they were still hoping to send a tech out but one wasn't available, and that I'd get a call back. 4:30 call led to me rescheduling the appointment for 12-4 Wednesday. I had to call at 4 on Wednesday and speak to 3 different people before I was told a tech wasn't going to make it and they needed to reschedule, but weren't going to call me until they knew for sure he couldn't make it.  Mind you, it's already after 4.  I didn't reschedule and am calling another plumber.

SOOOOOO awful!

We had a major water emergency - Called at 530pm on a Friday - Gillece said that they would have the tech call 1/2 before arrival - We called back to get an estimated time of arrival- talked to a woman who was NOT helpful in the least and just kept giving me responses that sounded automated - so much so that I had to honestly ask if I was speaking to a person or a computer.   The operator took our message and said that someone would call back with our information - NO ONE CALLED -

Finally received a call at 830 that the tech couldn't come and had to reschedule for tomorrow morning - NO THANK YOU GILLECE!   You will never get my money or anyone else's money that hears my story about your poor serviced company!

Gillece sent someone to my home named Ron for an emergency HVAC call. As soon as he arrived he started quoting me for additional work that I did not want or need. All we needed was a replacement air conditioning unit. I told him I needed to call my boyfriend, the home owner, to discuss pricing. He kept telling me not to call him and encouraged me to sign up for a loan through Ally Financial to pay for the overpriced work he wanted us to go with. From there I sent him on his way. We ended up with no A/C unit and had to shop elsewhere. I have never seen someone so blatantly attempt to sell unwanted services to a woman home alone. I would compare him to a sleazy used car salesman. If I could give Gillece 0 stars I would do so happily. My suggestion is to RUN don't walk from Gillece and their sleazy business practices. I know Gillece checks these reviews and will say they can't find me in their database which is because my boyfriend set my appointment and not a valid excuse for their behavior. I am actively consulting my attorney and am considering legal action at this time.

I saw a billboard advertising that Gillece will clear a drain for $92, guaranteed.  I thought that was quite reasonable, so I called them.  Upon coming to my house he put on a professional act and told me the cost would be slightly less than $400.  (About $390 if I recall.)  I asked about the $92 guarantee, and the told me that was for large drains, not small sink drains.  My problem was with a sink drain.  I was in disbelief, so I asked him how a small drain could be about $400, and a large drain $92.  He said he didn't have any specials on small drains.  He showed me his tablet to prove that the cost was $400, as though that meant anything.  I kicked him out of my house and called a legitimate plumber.  Two men came in an hour, and did the job for $150.  A simple electric snake did the job, in about 5 minutes altogether.  So, I know for sure that Gillece is a fraud and a crook.  And after my experience I heard from many other people who had the same experience with them.  For example, when they give you the $92 cleaning of a big floor drain they include a camera inspection of the pipe.  Low and behold, they have a major job fixing a damaged pipe.  You get the camera inspection because it serves THEIR purposes, not yours.  The damaged pipe is their invention.  Incidentally, you may notice that their web site does not allow you to comment on their service.  They don't want you to have easy access to comments like this,or the others that you will see here.

I needed a gas line updated/repaired for a new dryer that I had recently purchased, so I called Gillece to get a quote. Big mistake. I will say that the technician arrived on time and was very friendly, however, the quote he provided was outrageous. He said that the job would cost $900 in order to get my dryer working but that he could cut me a deal for $780. I politely declined and called another plumbing service for a second opinion. The following afternoon, another plumber completed the exact same job for $185. Beware of Gillece and hire at your own risk!

Do not even bother calling for service if you are a landlord or tenant. Twice now I have had tenants whose either hot water heater or heat has stopped working in this bitter cold weather.  Both times Gillece assured me that they would be there that day (I called in the morning). Twice now they bumped me to another day--after assuring me *repeatedly* throughout the day each time that they would be able to make it that day for service. Turns out that they offer a same day or it is free , but only to homeowners, not rental properties of any kind. So tenants keep getting screwed as long as homeowners keep calling.  No matter that there are people--including pets and children, which Gillece was made aware of--with no hot water/heat and Gillece assured they would be there within hours to fix the problem.  Fool me once, shame on them, fool me twice, shame on me. Don't be fooled by or even bother with Gillece.

Gillece was one of the worst choices that we ever made.  We had a plumbing issue, and with their advertisements, we had Gillece come in to clear our line for what we thought was a deal.  Well, they proceeded to tell us how awful our line was (true) and that our entire front yard was like a septic system (absolutely false) and that we needed $20,000+ in repairs (WHAT?!).  They also charged us over $2,000 to pressure clean our pipes, which we stupidly agreed to at the time, not knowing that it actually usually only costs around $200-$300 from other plumbers.  I'm so thankful that we looked around before having our lines fixed, because we saved (and this is not an exaggeration) $15,000 by finding a different plumber.  Do NOT call Gillece. They are liars and thieves.

Bait and switch scammers. Called them to replace an outside pipe that burst during the winter. The pipe had been repaired a couple of years before by a handyman for a total cost of $70. I decided to give these guys a try. The phone operator gave me this spiel about their prices being very competitive and totally upfront and so on, so I took the bait. Guy comes and starts by trying to sell me a complete job to replace the pipe from the basement all the way to the side. When I insist that I only need the outside pipe to be replaced or fixed (2 ft of pipe), he pulls out this complicated system of job and pricing categories (from A to H or something  like that) and concludes that my job is a category D, which carries a cost of $594. I told him that materials would be at most $20, time would be at most 1 hour, or $60 at a very generous $60/hour, so where did the extra $514 come from? And he started telling me about the warranties, etc. So I asked him to leave the house, to which he suggested he could call his boss to see if he could get me a better price. I simply showed him the door.

Never, under any circumstances call gillece. Never. There is a plethora of other plumbers to choose from, none of which can be worse than gillece. The short version: The low unclog fee is just so they can come in, try to damage your pipes and get you to pay some outrageous fee for work that isn't necessary. The long version is down below, a lot similar to a lot of other reviews this company gets. The fact that they are still allowed to be in business is a shame.

I should blame myself for not checking reviews and I fell for the $50 unclog deal. They came, and snaked the drain. They used a snake meant for a 6 inch line, I have a 3 inch. Could have caused serious damage but I lucked out (found this out later when I called a real plumber). The next day the line was clogged again. Keep in mind that every time this happened I had to remove the toilet so they could run the snake through, then reinstall it. Not too complicated but annoying. I pointed out this time that the snake was not coming out to the trap therefore not unclogging it completely. He didn't listen. Snaked it again, same result. If I had to guess he was intentionally unclogging it partially so it would plug up again. Being as that I paid the $50 already I called them out again to do the job right. This time they sent 3 vans and a manager. They ran water down the line to see if the drain had unclogged and it hadn't. This caused a considerable amount of backed up sewage to overflow onto my bathroom floor, which they stepped in and tracked through my basement. Ran the snake again and said the issue was my sewer line. They wanted 14k to dig up my driveway and basement to repair the line, even tried to pressure me when I said I would need a 2nd opinion before spending 14k on something. Still tried to pressure me, this time with attitude. Called another plumber who came out the same day, ran the proper snake (the complete distance) and the problem was resolved. I didnt need to spend the 14k they were trying to get out of me and the other plumber even put the toilet back on for me. Do not call gillece.

Only giving one star so helpers can see review. Absolute scam company.  Charged my near elderly mother 900 dollars for a sensor light with a switch and an outlet. Two people were here for 2 hours, I bought the sensor light before, the only thing they provided was 6 feet of wire, a switch, an outlet and a couple screws. If I was an electrician who worked for this company I would be ashamed to charge such enormous amount of money for such little time and effort.  Clearly Mr.Gillece is fine with becoming rich and successful by stepping on his neighborhood and taking advantage of people.

Well what to say. Gillece tried to take advantage of our young age and lack of homeownership experience. They tried to get us to spend 18,000 dollars to rip up our basement and garage to put in new drains because our sewer drain was clogged. They only used their camera to look in the basement. We said we said we would have to think about and the guy will call us back in a few days. He didn't call, HE TEXTED US. Very unprofessional. We nonetheless called Roto Router who came out and fixed our problem for $500 and looked at every single drain in the house! And gave us a 6 month warranty. Gillece tried to scam us to the fullest! And they offered monthly payments at like $400 a month! Such a rip off. Never will we call Gillece again and I hope all these horrible reviews are seen by the big shots at Gillece as they try to rip off good, hard working people! I wish I didn't even have to give them 1 star!!!

Just adding to the list of dozens of 1 star reviews for Gillece--why Yelp doesn't automatically show the other 21 (currently) reviews is beyond me. I really wish I would have read their reviews before I called, I would probably (definitely) had the work done by now.

Anyway, this company is terrible at keeping any kind of schedule. So far they've cancelled three times in the past five days. I'm done calling off of work and rearranging my schedule for them to only call me and cancel at the last minute--or in the first case, a half hour past their window. The whole reason for me calling a larger company is that if someone else had an emergency they'd be able to cover that and still keep their appointment w/ me.

Having gone through this, there is no way I'd ever call them if I had a serious emergency. All I can say is, if you've read the reviews and still call them then you can only blame yourself for your experience.

Do not call Gillece in your most desperate hour. This company will use scare tactics to get you into thinking you need way more than you actually do. After that, they will write you up a quote that is about four times what the actual job should cost. They swapped out my electrical box, and did some minor wiring on my house for an original estimate of 13k. I said no way. The owner Tom then gave me a 'great deal' at 10k. I said maybe. Tom then went to 8500 under the condition that they could start immediately. Like a fool, I accepted. The next day when my other bids came in and Gillece had already finished the job, I realized how bad I was taken. The other bids came in under 4000 dollars, so I was taken for about 4500. I asked to speak with Tom about the difference and he refused to speak to me. All I was told is that I paid more for great service. So if great service is with thousands of dollars to you, call Gillece. However I suggest you learn from my mistake and don't give this company the time of day

Well its me again,
just found out they are suing us over heater they installed and as the story goes. They came out set price, removed the old furnace at 8 am to 8:30.  Stated they give military discounts. Had the other back in minus the duck work. They hooked the old duck work. Then was there till 947 pm Couldn't get the furnace started. the guy tried everything. Then he went out to his happy van. Said he had make call. and drove off. Just Drove off!!! .That night it got down to 34 degrees. We had no heat and my wife suffers from MS. I had get my 90 year old dad up to get her warm place to stay,. As I went back to house and me the three dogs froze it out. (As I stated on a post dated Nov 12 2017) I was called the next morning about the post By Tom part owner and son of the owner.) He said he was going to correct the misjustice. I told him take his furnace back. He begged me to let him make it right.) So they came out ,told them to remove it now, place old one back in. they said they couldn't do that, after... I told them what was wrong with it. Cause I found the problem that night. They ran the lines from the tank wrong. ( When all fails read instructions, that where attached to the thing..) So the girl that was at the desk. Rued as  she is, Stated to me when called asked why they left us to freeze told me... Quote..... that is just the way it is.
So Tom the owners son called that morning and stated that he make it right. and told me they give me military discount. Dig this Folks. Its only 1%. Talk about a slap in the face.

Is it possible to give a zero star? Oh how I wish. We called on a Sunday evening, my mom's sink drain was clogged. We tried to snake it but we could not get through. They advertise a drain special of 49.00 and SAME DAY OR IT'S FREE painted all over the sides of their trucks. If they don't fix it there is no charge.
They set up an appointment for the NEXT DAY for when she would be there. They  called four hours early to see if they could come she said she was not yet home and needed to keep her time. They then called about twenty minutes before they should have been there and said he is stuck on a job and can't come. They rescheduled her for the NEXT day.
Time came and went three phone calls in to make sure they were coming and they did show up. They showed up with some crazy waiver that said if we damage your drain it is your responsibility and if we damage OUR equipment it is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY!!! Who does that!? The guy proceeded to tell her that they don't make any money on their specials and they have to do it this way. I said is the snake BRAND NEW or have you used a thousand times? Because eventually it is going to break and some poor dumb ninny that signed the waiver will be buying new equipment! I asked why the girls didn't tell us this on the phone and his response : Do you except some 18 year old to know all of the waivers we have people sign? Well the girls I spoke with knew full well about the waivers and what they said and they work there so actually  YES SIR I DO expect that these girls know their job! Needless to say we turned him away and did not allow him to enter the home.
Very disappointing that people advertise to bait you in and then EVENTUALLY arrive and it is nothing like what you thought.  Their prices are complete highway robbery I had gotten a price to replace my main water line that froze and it was over 15,000 to start when in essence I called another plumber in the area who did it and I was charged 1600. The difference between getting a loan to fix something and being able to pay. Just terrible. The only good I can say is the girls I spoke with were so so nice and nobody was out right rude. These waivers etc don't fall onto the employees....

I had a similar experience with Gillece.  Our water supply line also needed replaced last winter, a guy from Gillece showed up and gave us some ridiculous price, I saved more than 1/2 by going to another plumber.

Look at the BBB web page for Pittsburgh, that will tell you the stuff you need to know about Gillece.

Good luck folks

Just spoke to Gillece and frankly I've never experienced such terrible customer service.

If you don't already know, they've been sued for bad business practices. post-gazette.com/stories… There are tons of other articles on the whole mess.

Regardless, the secretary was nasty and mean. Oh, we don't do estimates for buyers. Really? How else are we going to get anything done exactly? Tons of other companies do, with far better reputations than Gillece.

Laugh the next time you see the stupid owner on a billboard with a bird on his shoulder.

DO NOT FALL FOR THEIR $95 SEWER CLEANING AD THAT YOU SEE ON THE BILLBOARDS. IT IS A BAIT AND SWITCH TACTIC.  They came out and charged us $95 and said they couldn't clean it that we would have to pay $2,000 to have some work done.  When the technician left we called sewer flow who came out immediately and fixed the problem for us for $370... And that included them snaking our drains in the basement.

This is hands down the most horrendous customer service experience my wife and I have ever experienced.  They were 3 days late, after I took the first 2 days off of work to wait for their technicians.  Having arrived, they installed a replacement PVC pipe in the main line, snaked the pipe, and charged me $1570.00 for it.  Apparently their PVC is lined with some kind of gold leaf.  Having left, I then went downstairs to find my basement was covered in feces, including on my treadmill, furnace, hot water heater, and dryer.
I called for a supervisor to come and assess the condition of the house and to clean it up.  He thought he was called in to run a camera, so nothing was cleaned for another 24 hours. They were, of course, about 5 hours late to clean it up as well.  After assessing the condition of the pipe, they then quoted me $14,000-$15,000 to tear up the floor and put in all new pipe.  We said, obviously, we would get a 2nd opinion.
After the insurance adjuster came in, and told us that he always seemed to follow Gillece wherever they go, our 2nd plumber (Smith and Sons LLC) came in, and said he also tends to be the guy people call after they call Gillece.  Rather than 14 or 15 grand, he said he wanted to try a simple snake drain, (Yes, that's what Gillece said they did).  Of course, it worked.  $300.00 later and we were out of the woods.
So if you want to save yourself a gigantic headache, days of waiting, the feeling of being manipulated, feeling like they think you're an idiot, and an overall work ethic based on taking advantage of customers for a quick buck, please avoid Gillece like the plague.

Gillece came out to install a dishwasher. We'd already hauled away the old one. The installation was completely straightforward. Their estimate: $1,139. When I said that was ridiculous, the guy called HQ and offered a new price of $900. Glad to know they don't start with their best price. If you want to feel preyed upon, this is the place to call.

Four years ago I had two furnaces and an air conditioner replaced by Gillece.  The total job cost in excess of $20,000.00.  They actually did a good job with the installation, but at the time they did not electrically hook up the AC as I had another, older unit already running, so this was to be a back -up unit when it finally bit the dust.  Well, that has now happened and I called Gillece back to come and electrically hook up the AC unit.  That was at 10am and they said someone would be here by 4pm.  No-one arrived or even called so I called them back and was told they were very busy and someone would be in touch with me with the time when an HVAC technician could come.  Three hours later and no call, and no technician.  I called to complain to the Dispatch Manager and she finally called me back to let me know that a technician would be on his way and arriving in an hour.  Within 10 minutes, the technician called from the road and asked me what the problem was.  When I told him, he informed me that I needed an electrician, not an HVAC guy.  I waited almost 7 hours for the wrong kind of technician.  Do you think they could have told me this 7 hours ago when I explained in plain English what I needed?  Now, I have at least another two hour wait for an electrician, who is on another job and over an hour away.
I would bag this company in a heart beat, but because they installed my equipment, they have told me that the warranty I paid for would be null and void if a different company touched it.  I am over a barrel.  While their installation was well done, professional and timely, I have to say the customer service/repair service and the way it is managed is very poor.  Their warranty policy puts you at a great disservice because it forces you to deal with them when a problem comes up.

Run! Save yourself! Do not hire Gillece no matter what!

They are INFAMOUS for misdiagnosing electrical, plumbing and HVAC issues, then grossly inflating their estimates and overcharging for even basic services.  They are GREAT at the con game. Very convincing. They will put on a good show for you -- demonstrating with their special diagnostic tools that you have more problems than you do.

They almost got away with replacing my entire furnace -- a 5-yr. old Carrier two-stage -- which in the end needed no parts and was repaired by Phillips Heating and Cooling for only $200. They wanted me to pay $10,000! Plus $5,000 for a new service panel and another $4K for various other electrical. Nearly $20K in estimates. This is the scam they try to run on everyone -- always in the tens of thousands of $$.

Thank goodness a good friend alerted me in time, before I committed to their ridiculous estimates.

Check out the hundreds of reviews by people all over the Pittsburgh area who either got scammed by them or came close to it -- like me. Read the reviews on the Better Business Bureau site, NextDoor, other social media sites, and just do a Google search. You will see the Attorney General of PA pursued them for bait-and-switch tactics within the past few years.

After reading so many accounts of their unethical activities I am shocked that they can still be in business. Their license needs to be revoked so they cannot continue to prey on the unsuspecting.

Please heed this warning.  I hope this saves someone the anguish of being taken advantage of.

I am only giving this company one star because I was not able to give zero stars. I had a minor electrical problem (one outlet not working and a lightbulb I couldn't get out of an overhead fixture), and called this company to send an electrician. They gave me a date and said they needed a 4 hour window from noon - 4 pm during which I needed to be home. I agreed. I actually had to leave work an hour before noon to make it home in time. They never showed up, causing me to lose 5 hours of pay. Don't waste your time on this outfit. After the fact, unfortunately, I found out on the web that the president of this company tried to sue to get the names of anonymous internet raters because they have so many complaints. AVOID this company

Don't waste your time. These clowns are only good at one thing, taking your appointment. Then they string you along all day making excuse after excuse for why their technicians can't get there. I only wish someone would have posted something like this so I could have seen it instead of wasting my time on this sorry lot of failures. When the company that actually fixing my issue is known I will post it here so you know who to call instead of Gillece.

What can I say...there is a reason they can afford all the commercials and fancy trucks.  We just got back from vacation and the fan on our Furnace/AC stopped working.  Taking more time off work to have someone look at it was going to be tough.  Called one of the big boys out of convenience.   The techs we very nice....and I was prepared to be told about how old the unit was (it is nearing its lifes end) and knew there would be an attempt to sell me new.  However, I made it known that if I had to go without AC that would stink, but I need the fan because sooner or later it will get cold again.  Told me a needed a new circuit board and fan motor......$3,000!!!!  Paid them their $100 service call fee and sent them on their way.

Waited it out and got recommendations from friends and found another guy.....did real trouble shooting, found the fan motor still worked...and not only still worked, but the motor tested strong.  The other guy was able to fix for only a couple hundred all said and done.

Same story as other reviews.  Came out to address a loose wire in my recessed lighting and told me that all of my lights were bad and needed to be replaced to the tune of $10k. This after they had to reschedule three separate times.  Needless to say I went with another actual electrician who fixed it in an hour for $350.  Stay away, far away from Gillece.

Had our bathroom floor replaced and wanted a plumber to reinstall the toilet when the floor guy was finished. Arrived on time, which was good, but said it would be $446 to reinstall the toilet. Checked later on line and learned that the going price in this area of Pittsburgh is between $100 and $150. Even found a plumber who said it would be less than $400 to install a new toilet, including the cost of a new toilet. Paid the $65 service call and did it myself. I asked them before they came out how much they thought it would be and they could not give an estimate. Now I know why. Be prepared to pay top dollar.

DON'T call Gillece. Charged $158 to run snake out toilet line. I had to remove and reinstall toilet or it would have been  $350. Next day main line was clogged. (They only push clog further down)Also they said I needed a trap added to line and it would be  $780. I installed my self for  $15 in 15 minutes.
I called a different plumber and they cleared line out to street for $65.

Unfortunately, we did not see these horrendous reviews until after Gillece had arrived. Our bathtub had a stubborn clog and would not drain, and our daughter was arriving the next day so we had to get the problem resolved. Our usual plumber was already booked, so we called Gillece. When the plumber arrived (3 hours late) without a mask, he acted very annoyed when I asked him to put a mask on before entering the house. He was generally unpleasant and rude. He looked at the tub and the access panel, and immediately began to try to convince us that we needed to modify the pipes behind the tub. We told him that we only needed the tub to drain, and he told us it would cost $343 for what turned out to be a 15 minute job running a snake down the drain. Because we needed a working tub, we had no choice but to tell him to do the job.

Before we knew that their rates were absurdly high, we also asked him about replacing the wax ring under the toilet. I have watched other plumbers do this, and it typically takes them less than an hour. Gillece quoted us a price of almost $650. Needless to say, we passed on this.

The next day, after using the tub, water began trickling through one of the light fixtures in the kitchen below the bathroom. Our usual plumber came out and told us that the pipe draining from the tub had ruptured--something, he said, that could easily have happened as a result of the work Gillece had done. Our plumber had to cut a hole through the kitchen ceiling to repair it, and it will be ridiculously expensive to repair. While I cannot say for certain that Gillece ruptured the pipe, the fact that it happened the day after they did the work is awfully suspicious. (And, by the way, our plumber told us that the work Gillece tried to talk us into--modifying the pipes behind the tub--was completely unnecessary.)

This company is unethical, unprofessional, and dishonest. I really wish I had read these reviews before calling them. A Google search informed me that Gillece is being sued, and a contractor friend told me Gillece has a ridiculously poor reputation.

I wish it would let you rate 0 stars because that is what they deserve. The technician acted like our best friend but he was nothing but a scam artist. They must get some sort of kickback? Came to look at our AC unit. Was going to charge almost $1000 to repair, which is what a new unit would have cost. Then he looked at our furnace for some reason. Red tagged it and said we needed a new one. Needless to say, we got a second opinion and never called them back. I don't know how these people sleep at night? 2 recent experiences, but in a nutshell - Gillece stands for Upsell and Overpriced

Experience 1:  Leaking Kitchen Faucet
I called Gillece because our faucet was leaking at the base where it meets the sink counter after i had placed a 'PUR' at the end.  Figured this might be a common issue that any plumber would know how to handle.
Result:  I paid $65 for Gillece tech Chad to come out and basically tell me that he couldn't fix the faucet as is, but would have to replace it with one of their custom faucets.. price around $1000+.  He also attempted to upsell on an entire home water purifying softener system for something like $7000. And proceeded to tell me the BPA in our bottled water was poisonous.  Bye Chad.

Experience 2:  Leaking Furnace - condensate pump - $800+
I called Gillece... for $95 their very knowledgeable tech Colin came out.  Young guy knew what he was doing and discovered that the leak was due to a faulty condensate pump.  All was fine until the supervisor, came around and began attempting to upsell on a bigger modulating furnace that could help better regulate the air in the house.  Can we focus on the problem at hand please, the water all over our basement floor.  Our shiny new condensate pump was finally installed. Hooray, but the cost $860 seemed very high to me.  So the next day i called our previous company Boehmer and asked how much to replace a condensate pump.  Answer = $322, or if we had their coverage plan only $122.

On top of their insistent upselling... seems like all of the Gillece guys smoke which is just annoying.

Next time, i'm going with Boehmer.

I recently had my sewer back up in my basement and called Gillece.  They were prompt and stated that I needed to immediately replace my drain in the floor and about a two-foot piece of pipe.  The cost...$6100+ for an area about 3'x4'!  In addition, before the work was completed a camera survey showed that I would need to have my entire inside sewer replaced for an additional cost of $11,000!!!  Since I then decided to contact my insurance agent and get additional proposals I later learned that the first project should not have cost more that $2,000!!!  I firmly agree with Jason P. in that I feel that they tend to take advantage of those who are in need of emergency repairs without the time to shop around!!  I have since received proposals for the $11,000 job as low as $7,000. I am a senior citizen on a fixed budget and that original took most of my savings.  It was only after I had contracted with them and later spoke with my insurance agent did the gentleman act confused that I had not done so before (acting as though he had previously informed me to do so).  I believe he purposely did not advise me to because he knew that my insurance company would have not approved such a high charge for such a small job.  Be very careful and shop before you sign anything with them.  The A-OK rating is for the workers who came to my home and were courteous, careful, and extremely helpful.  They cleaned up and left my home in good condition.

I paid $65 for a high pressure sales pitch. Supposed to diagnose my water issues but came in, didn't know anything more than I did and wanted OUTRAGES amounts to replace everything. I'm replacing everything for 20% of what they wanted me to give them. 3,000 vs 899 I'll never call them again EVER.

**UPDATE** There was a solution received to the issue. I was asked by Tom, the operations manager, to not discuss it, but I did not agree and the reason is that my initial service did not change, therefore there is no need to lie and say no problem existed, even when it did.  After a lengthy discussion we received a refund due to the problem and the fact that someone else had to fix the work.  I have updated my review, but my initial statement below remains the same as I would not recommend or use this company based on ALL experiences, and also by being told what I can talk about as a consumer.**

This  will never be a company that I recommend to anyone based on service, prices, and comparisons, not to mention the inability of the technician to find the major problems.

My water heater went out and we had a large leak in the same area. Gillece showed up and did nothing but charge money for him to break more items for an actual plumber to fix correctly. I was quoted $2400 for a water heater install, with the heater and labor.  In the end, with disconnected and broken lines, they charged $200 while causing more cost in repair.

We found someone else who could do the work, and we ended up paying $429 for a water heater and install, and $100 to have the line fixed.  No matter what, there is nothing in this world that could make the rip off prices worth the useless work they complete. I would rate with negative stars is the option was possible. DO NOT use this company, your local plumber will be much more reasonable, and more likely to help find any extra issues that may come up.

Attempting to dispute the charges has resulted with three hang up calls by whoever the useless people are on the phone, rude and ignorant of the real world. The reason Gillece makes the money they do is because they break what they can and charge to fix their screw ups.

THESE GUYS ARE TERRIBLE.

We had them come out to fix our toilet. It was flushing with no problem but the water kept running after the tank was filled.

They came out and fixed that problem for the moment but now our toilet barely flushes. You have to hold the handle down for the entire flush and even then it doesn't always flush. This is with the water pressure turned all the way up.

We asked them to come back out. It took a week for them to come again and that was after 3 CANCELLATIONS. On the 3rd cancellation I demanded that they come out that day. They called back and said they'd come. Someone came and barely improved the situation.

Now our toilet is running after it fills up again like before and sometimes the tank doesn't fill up at all, we have to jiggle the handle to get it to fill again.

We told them to come out a 3rd time. It was a Saturday morning appointment. By noon no one called or showed up. I called them to cancel the appointment. Now I'm going to have to pay another plumber to fix their job which they over-charged us for.

These guys are incompetent and they're rip off artists. They kept trying to up sell us the whole time they were here during the first visit. I strongly discourage anyone from using them.

Spent $13,400 through them and have worse plumbing issues in the same location they worked on. Will need to re-excavate my front yard that they excavated.

The also advised me to excavate an area in my basement to replace a fitting- which resolved nothing.

I now have sewage backed up in my downstairs and a $15,000 estimated sewage bill ahead of me.

If I could give Gillese Plumbing 0 star I would.. Calling at 8:30 am and they told me I am will be on their schedule for today. I got them back twice to see if somebody was coming out to clear a clog in my main drain. again they told me that yes I was definitely on their schedule and something they would be out. Finally they called at 5 p.m. and told me they would not be out today then if I needed them they would come out the next day or the following day.

My rating is a ZERO! Avoid this company completely!! Gillece doesn't show up for jobs. I had established appointments cancelled by Gillece three times in a week.  Apparently the $99 dollar outlet special is not enough reason to come out and do a job.  Twice, I had an 8-12pm time slot scheduled.  I canceled all my appointments and made sure I was home.  The first day, I had to call at 11:30 to find out another job was taking precedent and they couldn't make it.  I was told they were going to be on that job 90% of the day! They never even called to tell me.  So I rescheduled to later in the week and also scheduled a air conditioning check for the same day.  On the appointment day, I received a call asking if my a/c was working, which they already knew and because it was they couldn't come out to do the a/c check because other customers had no air and they needed to assist them first.  Then 1.5 hours past the scheduled time to do my outlets, they call and tell me that they cant make it again today- for the second time!  They were backed up.  DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME.  CALL SOMEONE ELSE THAT IS RELIABLE!

We called for service Sunday morning 3/2/14, shortly after 9am.  We told the operator we had hot water heat and that a pipe had burst.  She was told we had had no heat since 11pm the night before. We were told someone would be there, that they would email us information about the tech and the tech would call approx. a half hour before arrival.  We huddled under blankets thinking we'd have a short wait.  At 6:30pm we received a call from a tech stating that he was busy and behind and we would have to reschedule for Monday, we still had received no e-mail.  So, we had to arrange for 2 adults, 2 kids, 4 dogs, 2 ferrets, a  hampster, a rabbit, and a parakeet in the living room with 1 space heater-the house was registering 42 degrees!!!

Monday morning approx. 8:30 we received a call that a tech would be coming.  At 10:30am we received another call stating they were so busy, but we were on the list!
I was so mad, I called to cancel the service and find someone else.

The woman was nice on the phone and apologized, I let her know we were calling the BBB as well as posting an on-line review.

Within minutes-Tom-the manager called my husband, blaming us for the problem.  He insisted we requested service after 4pm on Sunday(what a joke, it was to cold to even bathe and we all were on the couches under piles of blankets!! When my husband said no we didn't, the manager proceeded to argue with us!! Then he stated that it could've been a mistake....but the next part is telling...when my husband repeated we were posting a bad review....Tom said, you can't give us a bad review, the bad weather wasn't our fault.  My husband answered with- our roads were fine and Tom said, I was in Center Township at 9am and the roads were terrible.....I wonder why the 9am roads mattered, since he tried to say we requested  service at 4pm. hum????

So much for same day service-LIES!!!!  Horrible Customer Service!!!

I was having trouble with a clogged basement drain, and called to take advantage of their $93 or free drain deal, before researching this company online...

The tech who came out put an honest effort to unclog my drain, although he couldn't get it working.  He went out to his truck, to write up an estimate for the recommended Hydrojet cleaning and a camera inspection.... over $2000!!!

When I asked, he assured me this was a good price, and offered financing.  A few calls to compare estimates from other companies yielded an average price of $600 for the exact same service.  They were going charge me more than 3x the going rate for a Hydrojet and camera inspection.  Thank god I shopped around, or I'd have scammed by these crooks like countless others surely have been.

Shop around!  The boldness of these people to try to rip me off that much was incredible...

I have an appointment with Matt Mertz plumbing, who is charging me $550 for the same service Gillese tried to charge over $2000 for.  Hopefully it does the trick on my septic drains!

Believe the reviews you are reading.  I scheduled an appointment one week ago for Gillece to service my water softener.  They called the day of the appointment and said they were on their way.  In fact, they called 4 times during the day to say they were on their way.  At 3pm they then called and said they could not make it and would schedule an appointment for the next day.  I explained that I took the day off of work for the appointment and the service person said that they were busy and I needed to understand that.  I then asked for the first appointment for the next day and she said they don't make the scheduled appointments until after 6 p.m. the day before.  I asked that they call me to confirm a time for the appointment the next day and she said that is not company policy.  So I scheduled an appointment one week ahead, Gillece doesn't show up, and then I'm told they put me in the schedule the next day.  Didn't matter that I had taken the day off for the day of the appointment, I should be available when they can make the appointment.  Terrible customer service, terrible way to conduct business.  My advice is to use a company that cares about their customers, not Gillece.  Their website says, We believe you shouldn't have to work around our schedule, which is why we work around yours instead.  Gillece should practice what they write.  The reviews from several customers reiterate the same terrible experience.  Enough said.

Do not call this company. Our main line sewer was backing up in our basement. We called Gillece, they sent someone out the next day. The only thing he did was to put a camera down the pipe and said it was full of roots. He said the line was flowing since he put the camera through the clog, it was not flowing. We had to call someone else the next day. Gillece gave us an estimate for $10500.00. The other company opened our sewer line up and charged $90.00.

DO NOT USE GILLECE, call someone else first.

I contacted Gillece due to a clogged sewage line. Their representative came to my property used a camera in the line and told my wife and I that a traditional snake would not work and that they had to use a Hyrdojet which would clear the line unless the line was collapsed or broken and in that case we were looking at a major repair in the 10-20 thousand dollar range. The hydrojet was ordered at a price of 1900.00. The hydrojet came and attempted to clear the line to no avail. The next day a representative came back to the house, ran a camera and informed us that the sewer line was broken and we would have to dig and replace the line. This at 2-4 thousand dollars a day. Upon hearing this I called another plumbing company. They came to the house, used a traditional snake and the line was cleared in 1 hour for the cost of $165.00. The company (I am happy to provide the name) guaranteed the work for 2 months, assured us that the sewer line is not broken, it was just clogged. The new company also said that the hydrojet was the wrong application for our type of pipes. Upon doing some research online (home advisor) the cost nationally for hydrojetting is 300.00 with a highend of 600.00. I believe we were mislead throughout this entire process. First we were told that a traditional snake would not work. It did. We were told that the hydrojet would work, it did not. We were then told we needed a new sewer line. We do not. I also feel we were outrageously charged for the hydrojetting and it did not work. I understand that we should pay something for the hydrojet attempt, but in lieu of all of this information and the unscrupulous nature of this situation, the 1900.00 is also egregious.

The AC went out after a return from vacation in July. I couldn't get a repair technician to come out, and remembered being stuck behind a Gillece truck. I called them and got a quick response someone would be out in a few hours. I wish that I never called them. The technicial Ron something was nice enough, but immediately told me how everything was wrong with my install. He then said my AC just needed a fuse breaker. I understood the repair was for $99 dollars to get the system up and running. Ron showed me a book of prices and told me that normal the part would cost hundreds of dollars.

He then start the horror show about how my system has never been cleaned, and it is time to replace the entire system. He pulled old articles from consumer reports about things destroying the air quality of the house. I didn't mind as I was getting my AC fixed for $99 bucks. I handed him my card, as I let the dog out, and he gave me a hard sell about there units. I didn't have the cash to spend even if i wanted and he was on his way. I was checking my bank balance , and saw the charge was from Gillece was for $519 dollars. I ran downstairs to look at the receipt and panicked when I saw the cost of the fuse was there for $419. I called Ron on at the mobile number and called the Gillece number to have get an explanation for the cost. Ron did not answer and the customer rep said someone will call me back.

I was pissed and too trusting, but that wasn't the end of it. The AC never fully recovered, and a day later stopped all together. We turned it off as the temp was very cool outside, the next day it started up properly. On the 3rd day, the unit stopped and would not push air. We called Gillece back demanding we have someone fix this problem, as we paid $519. We got a new technician (Steve, I think)  and his supervisor Will. They said the evaporator coil has a leak and would cost thousands to replace. They then said it didn't matter because we have a crack in the furnace, heat exchanger. That he had to put a sticker on it, and that if he hadn't found it we would have been seen on the news. He gives a hard sell to my wife asking if she was having headaches, and of course she has which is caused by the heat exchange leaking. I know this is long, but you must understand my pain.

He then quotes that it will cost 12,000 to have the system ripped out and replaced with the approved Gillece models. The only part is we need to agree to this deal today. We him and hawwed at the price, but were about take it. We would even get the $520 dollars we spent pulled from the price. We explained its not the investment we wanted to make, and he dropped the price another $500. We considered using the Well Fargo financing they suggested but were turned down, thankfully. We were even going to get a co-signer because we didn't want to die in our home with two children. We finally accepted we couldn't pull money from savings and 401k for this in a day. Steve the Gillece tech said Well, I hope we don't hear about you on the news. Will asked what will we do for air conditioning as the summer is not over, and the insulation of the house will make it unbearable.  We told him we had some window units and would make do. He then explained he would take $3100 up front, and would give us a week for come up with the rest of the cost. That was temping, but still not something I could do since I recently lost my job. The things stopping me from making this deal with Gillece saved me so much later.

We called Steve Heating and Cooling for a second opinion. It turns out there was a leak at the coil, which could cost $400 to repair while a new unit would cost $2700 everything included. He checked the furnace and did not see the dangerous crack, but said if we wanted to replace the unit it would be $1800. He then said he would fill the R220 system, but said Gillece must have missed something as the system only had 2 pounds of refrigerant instead of the 120 pounds it needs. He said it would cost $600 to add more to get through the summer. We are still thinking about how we want to make this happen, but the panic is over. I will never call Gillece, and they refused to give back the $400 dollars for the fuse that granted us 3 days of air. We could have stayed at a hotel for that price.

I had called Gillece on 12/4/2013 about their $99 advertised price to replace 10 electrical outlets or switches. I knew that they were sued prior because of over selling and mus-diagnosis but decided to give them a try anyway.

I asked if there were any hidden costs and the customer service rep said no. Then she (Katie) told me that it would cost me $164.99 for the $99 service. She told me that it costs $65 for them to come out. I promptly canceled the appointment and magically she was able to wave the $65 fee.

Two men arrived on 12/5/2013 and we did a walk through to identify the 10 outlets that I wanted replaced. Afterwards they proceeded to the electrical box and let me know of the bad news. They could not do the work because of my box......too high of a liability, in their words. I have a house that was built in 1988.....I have had several electricians over the years to add/modify systems and circuits. Short of the story, I escorted them to the door before they could give me the good news on what it would cost to replace my box. They get no stars. In my opinion, don't even consider them...go to Angie's List.

I wish I had the time to see these reviews BEFORE we signed a contract with this company...It is my daughters home and she had a sewage leak in her 2nd Fl. bathroom, which was coming thru the ceiling. The salesman/plumber should have been enough for me to spend a few days getting another price, but it is my daughters home..When someone write up options and they aren't even legible, I should have asked him to rewite it....Worst part (SO FAR) they started the work on Friday and as I had to leave and my daughter had to get back to work, we were assured they are bonded and drug tested, so we had NOTHING to worry about with leaving them in the home alone..WELL, seems they forgot to not only lock her door with they left, they left it wide open....My calls to their Company friday night, were an exercise in futility...NEVER USE THIS COMPANY..

We woke up to a cold house and found the furnace blowing cold air.  We saw a Gillece truck and decided to give them a call about inspecting and possibly repairing the furnace.  A repairman arrived shortly after and checked the furnace for a $95 service call.  He presented us with a list of options and prices: Repair for $517, Restore for $2300 or Replace which required a visit from the salesman.  All options were very vague in terms of what work was actually going to be done.  Since we had no idea what a new furnace would cost, we wanted to get estimates.

At 8pm, the salesman arrived and checked the furnace.  He found many things wrong with the existing furnace and informed us it wasn't worth repairing.  He also told us the coil above the furnace needed to be replaced which ran $850.  Unbeknownst to us the coil is for the A/C unit and not related to the furnace!

We started talking numbers and we were told it would run anywhere from $6,300-$9,900 for a new furnace depending on the efficiency.  When asked about providing literature regarding this expensive purchase, we were told to look online.  After using aggressive scare tactics and offering financing options, he realized he wasn't going to get us to bite.  We felt pressured and uncomfortable with the lack of information and just a list of unexplained prices.  The salesman wanted to have a team at our house that night to replace the existing furnace.  He left advising us that if we changed our minds, we could still get a $500 discount if we called by the following day.

The next day, a local heating company came for a second opinion and to inspect the furnace for an $85 service fee.  He showed us the broken igniter that the Gillece guy had already removed and explained that was the problem.  The replacement fee was $36 for a grand total of $132 to fix the furnace!  The local guy estimated a new furnace would run $3,000 which coincides with the research we did online.
I would not go by Gillece's word.  At the very least, they were attempting to overcharge us for a simple repair and tried to scare us into buying a new furnace and coil that was not related to the problem at hand.  I'm glad we learned the hard way for the cost of a $95 service fee instead of thousands for a furnace we didn't need yet!  They were aggressive and rude.  Don't let their urgency and pushy attitude influence you into buying or overpaying.  I wouldn't recommend Gillece to anyone!!

If we could give 0 starts we would. These people are cheating gougers that will steal your money in a minute. Called on a Sunday and told them that our sprayer hose in our sink had a leak. Did not need them to come out on a Sunday night but was informed not to worry that there is only a $64.00 diagnostic fee and nothing would be done without speaking to us. My son was home when they came for the repair. They had my cell phone but never called us to discuss the cost. When we returned home we found out they had our son write a check for 1300.00 for a new faucet. We have stopped payment on the check but wanted to warn as many people as we can to STAY AWAY from this shyster company.

This company needs 0 stars. Please never call Gillece. It will just lead you to nothing but stress. We had a clogged drain in our basement and a toilet that wasn't flushing properly. I saw the billboard and booked it (we are fairly new homeowners learning a lot about companies and home improvement). It was scheduled a day in advance in the 12-4 time a lot. At 330pm we received a phone call that they would not make the appt due to other emergencies. They offered to show up the following day between 8-9am and reduced the price by $30. I explained to the gentleman on the phone that we would not be available due to working. Further explained that we took time off of work to ensure we were there for the appt. He apologized and stated that's the best they could do. I said the afternoon would only work. He said someone would be there after 3pm. At 4pm I received a phone call stating the plumber would be there by 5pm. He did not show up until 6pm. While he seemed like a nice guy, this is where things went south. He did clear the clog, but stated we had a stage 2 pipe collapse on one side of our basement then a hole in a pipe on the other side. Verbal estimate of $10,000. Going from a clogged drain and toilet not flushing properly (by the way he never fixed that) to jackhammering our entire basement and replace the pipes and the floor. We ended up filing a claim with the insurance company. After an adjuster and two different plumbers we learned that our pipes are actually just fine. There is nothing wrong with our pipes at all. No collapse what so ever and the hole was just a tie in from another part of the home. He lied. This plumber stated he had been doing this work for 18years-yet couldn't tell that it was a tie in? It seems like you should know what that looks like especially if you are telling me to dig up my entire floor? Please please please look elsewhere for your needs. They will just try and ensue panic and sell you something that you won't need. We learned a lot through this process and ended up finding solid plumbers and camera service operators that truly helped us and didn't hinder us. Learn from our mistakes!

Made the mistake of calling Gillece for a main sewer backup. They did the whole camera thing (After getting obstruction removed), said they could not get it through the drain, supervisor was at our house until 10PM trying to dig up front yard and basement that night. Wanted $7,000 all for a simple backup. Tried scaring us saying we would be shitting in a bucket if we did not fix it. Two years later and the drain is still fine and had a Professional plumber confirm. Plumber said the job they were trying to do he would do for around $1,000.

Gillece are a bunch of crooks and scammers. Every time I see those fucking commercials I want to punch my TV. Any 5 star review you see online is fake. Please do not use Gillece!

I called back in November for their $99 outlet replacement special. I was given the usual 4 hour window (which was fine - not urgent).  About 30 minutes after that window had passed they called to reschedule. No problem doing so on my end. I was promised the first appointment that Saturday. Saturday morning came and went. No call. No technician.  Around 11 a.m. they called and left a message to call them back which I did that afternoon. Again - they needed to reschedule. I was given the 8-12 window for that upcoming Saturday (seeing a trend?).  That window comes and goes. Again - no call. No technician. I call at 12:30 and was told they had me in the 12-4 window (mistake) and that they would call when a technician was available. None were within 45 minutes (I live 5 minutes from Gillece) and they were backed up (which I believe since they obviously overbook) and had a technician hurt on that job (which I doubt).  They again gave me the 8-12 window; this time on a Tuesday because it was a light day (Lather. Rinse. Repeat.).  I explained I cannon wait for 4 hours. This would be their 4th attempt to fit me in. I advised the representative that if they don't show at 8 a.m. to not show at all.  I waited until 8:30 and left for work.  Sure enough, at 9:15 I get the call that their technicians were out and about and I would get the standard 30 minute courtesy call. I explained what I had been going through with them thinking MAYBE they would do something to make this right. Right? Wrong. Basically I could call them if I needed anything else is what I was told. I wish a better company had the privilege of owning that flag.

These guys are awful. We made an appointment about 4 days in advance and they still managed to call us and say they couldn't make it out, but not until 4PM when it was too late for us to call somewhere else that could've potentially helped.  And this was after we had called them ourselves several times throughout the day to check in and the guaranteed us that someone would be here.  They asked if we could take another day off so they could come the following day. No thanks. We'll be using somewhere else for future needs.

This is one of my worst experience in plumbing. I called  this company to replace a toilet ( home depot service is around $130). The women on the phone told me it is $65 and that's why I decide to call them in. The man showed up and took my credit card info and then wrote 1 page estimate for changing the dam toilet which I already bought. The estimate was $2100 .
Figure it out I am not going to continue .................

Dispute over credit card is going on

A Gillece technician provided service at my house for my kitchen sink drain which was riddled with leaks and corrosion. The technician discovered I had 150psi of water pressure, so he also installed a pressure regulator. For the complete replacement of inlet and drain plumbing under my two-bowl kitchen sink, a pressure regulator on my house inlet, and kitchen faucet, I paid ~$4650 plus the $95 Preferred membership fee so that I wouldn't have to pay the original $5100 quote. Being an inexperienced homeowner, I had no idea how badly I was being ripped off. Doing my homework AFTER the fact, I discovered the F rating with the Better Business Bureau. A letter I e-mailed to Tom Gillece and his customer service manager saw no reply. A service which should have cost less than $2000 by my estimation, including itemized parts at double retail price and 4 man-hours at $125/hour. I'm more than willing to pay a premium for premium service, but hiring Gillece Plumbing was legitimately a complete rip-off operation.

Quite a joke of a company. They claim emergency 24/7 services, but I guess this isn't the case. I had a sewer line back up into my basement. Everytime I would shower, wash my hands in the sink, flush the toilet, really anything using water the sewer line would back up all over my floor. I called Gillece when this happened on Sunday and they could get someone out their Tuesday. I guess sewage coming into the basement and virtually having to limit my water use isn't an emergency.

I played 20 questions with the guy who answered the phone and then he finally guaranteed me a time on Tuesday between 8am and noon. Comes to be 1:30 pm and no one called me or ever showed up. I called Gillece back and actually got the same guy who booked my appointment. I told him that I had a scheduled time and no one showed up or called me. He goes oh. do you want to reschedule then?. No apology or reason for not showing up. I told him that I was unhappy and would not reschedule and he hung up on me.

I called Gillece and was impressed with their same day response.  The woman I spoke with to schedule the appointment was quite helpful and the service technician that responded was also very nice and efficient. I had a toilet that was leaking and thought it needed to be replaced, so prior to the tech arriving, I bought a new toilet to have on hand in case it was needed.  The tech confirmed I needed to replace toilet and gave me 3 quotes to solve my problem.  He could install a high tech air/water flush toilet for $2,300, install a regular toilet for $1,800 or install the toilet that I bought for.............get this......$800!!!  I chose to install the new toilet myself and it took me (A non-plumber) about an hour.  How can a company charge $800 for less than one hour labor???  WHAT A RIP-OFF!!!  I wouldn't recommend Gillece to my worst enemy, nor will I ever call them again.

I wonder if its possible to give no stars. My AC was not turning on so I contacted the Gillece company. I had previously called them for a heating issue this past winter and felt the service guy just overcharged me and didn't really do a part replacement like he said. At that time, due to the urgency, I just paid and had them fix it. However, I decided this time I would use an online coupon just to get an evaluation done to see what my options were. (I am so glad that I did)

First off, I had informed the person on the phone when making an appointment that I had printed an online coupon for a 50 dollar evaluation. Then the service guy comes. He looks at the system very briefly (10 minutes) and informs me that my entire system is broken and it will cost over $2,500 to replace it. I was shocked since my house is fairly new. I felt the evaluation was wrong and he didn't check so I proceeded to just pay him the $50 evaluation fee. Might I add this is the same guy who came to my house before to fix the heater. Probably one of the most unfriendly individuals I have ever met. Then service individual proceeds to argue with me and tries to tell me that the coupon is not valid and I owe him a $120 fee. After arguing and calling the office, he finally accepts the coupon and leaves.

Next, day I called an another local company to have the same evaluation done. This company/individual not only explained what the problem was but also rectified the situation within 30 minutes. I had to pay a $99 for the entire process. He was so kind and helpful and made me understand what the issue was and how I could fix it myself in the future.

Please do NOT use Gillece at any cost. They rip you off and are very unfriendly. You are being overcharged.

Called Gillece on a Saturday morning to locate and unclog a kitched sink drain.  I was told a plumber would arrive between 8am - noon.  Around 3pm, the plumber finally arrived.  The plumber wasn't able to unclog the drain from under the sink.  He did not attempt to open the cleanout (which, admittedly, was not an easy task given the old age of the pipe).  He quoted me a price of almost $7,000 to cut out and replace the drain.

Called another plumber for a second opinion.  They took the time to open the cleanout and auger the clog.  90 minutes and a routine service call fee later, I had a fully functional kitchen sink again!

Gillece promises that you don't pay unless they fix the problem, but they were extremely quick to tell me to spend upwards of $7,000 to fix an issue that was barely investigated.

Didn't bother telling me or my real estate agent that they don't give estimates to home buyers under contract/in the inspection process without the owner present. We made it very clear that that this was the case, yet we didn't find out until the appointment was accidentally canceled (by me) and that was their reason for not being able to rebook when I realized my mistake 10 minutes later.
The woman I spoke with said she was the Assistant Manager of something, but I am guessing it isn't Customer Service based on the condescending way she spoke to me (ex: well I am SORRY we inconvenienced you, that's not how it works.)
Gillece, you just lost a $3k job and any future business from me.

My water heater stopped working a couple of days ago. i called Gillece and they came the same day i called. The technician did a troubleshoot and diagnostic that lasted for about 30 mintes. He finally explained that water heaters have a 5-10 yr life expectancy and my tank was 7 yrs old. He then said I needed a new tank. He quotes me $3700, then as a Gold member with Gillece, I can get one for $3400. Then another discount brought it down to $3300. After stating I didnt have that kind of money, his boss offered another $400-$500 off. I told them i'd think about it. The next day, while thinking, I decided to troublshoot myself. The water heater had a coded error message and looking at the manual I figured out the problem: It was the igniter out of place, so I wiggled it around to put it back in place and the heater worked. Havent had any issues since. Now i wonder how many others may have had services done and paid a lot of uneccessary money. $3000 is a lot of money to be giving away for a new water heater I didnt need. I take responsibility for not trying to troubleshoot myself in the beginning, but I would not recommend this company to anyone because this was truly deceptive on thier part

I called to have a sanitary line snaked. The line was about 25 feet long. The secretary quoted me $65. The plumber that showed up quoted $1300. The plumber tried to pressure me into hiring him. The plumber also lied several times. Two other plumbing companies quoted me $250 to $300 for the same work Gillece quoted. I saved over $1000 hiring someone else.

Gillece is a total scam.  They offer a cheaper price to snake drains and then make up a lot of fake work at inflated prices.  There were many red flags when they came out to snake a drain.  After taking a video of the drain, they claimed that there was 8-10 years of debris in the drain that was very backed up, which required them to jackhammer our basement floor and replace the pipe, at a cost of $4,310.  The plumber wrote all of this and emphasized the financing, the stayed out in his truck waiting for a yes.  He finally left when we told him we would let him know later.

I knew that the water that backs up went down in a day, so it really wasn't that bad.  Also, we had the drain snaked 2 years prior by Terry's Plumbing and it was fine.  I just had Terry's Plumbing out again and the plumber got it flowing in about 5 minutes with a regular snake job.

I called the Gillece Plumber back to tell him to please stop ripping people off.  He got irate and screamed at me.   Avoid this company at all costs.

We had them in to do some plumbing work.  A line was leaking, so it needed replacement right away.  The first guy comes in, very charming, talks about his kids, family, then starts to point out all the safety problems with your house.  After a pricey repair, we agreed to have the furnace inspected.  The heating guy comes in next and says the furnace is going and needs a full replacement, to the tune of another $4000.  No, I think not.  3 years later, our furnace is still going strong, has been serviced by other companies who make no mention of a critical concern.

I have had nothing but an awful experience since the moment they stepped foo in my home. In December 2014 my 20 year old furnace stopped working at 11pm. Gillece offering 24 hour service and being right down the road was the first number I called. When they showed up they told me it was not repairable so I agreed to have them install a new furnace and ac unit. I was told it would be done the next day, it was December so around 30 degrees outside. They began install the next day. They input the unit, but did not connect any duct work and told me they would finish the in 2 days, leaving the furnace to blow worm are in my basement and run non stop without heating the rest of my home. They would not pay for the wasted gas as the furnace ran non stop. Then come summer of 2015 I turned on the AC unit the first time. My breaker would pop every time the unit turned on because they did not update the box to the appropriate amperage. After 3 phone calls, they finally agreed to upgrade for the breaker. I have had no issues since that time with the unit. 2 weeks ago, I received a call that my ac was due for a free inspection, since it was free I agreed. They've now called 3 times to reschedule. I finally told them I don't want them to come. Overall the customer service has been the worst I've ever experienced. I would not recommend anyone to use any of their services. EVER!

Called Gillece to replace three outlets, two were GFCI, the other a regular outlet. Was told they would arrive between noon and four PM, after they did not show up at 330, I called and was told that they were stuck on another job. I understand these things happen so we rescheduled for the next day ( Saturday ) I was promised to be the first repair of the day. I got a call at 930 AM and was told the tech called off and that we would need to reschedule yet again. Again I was promised the first call of the day on Wednesday which was the next day I was off. When I called when they were not there by 10 AM and told the answering agent that I was supposed to be first on the list for the day she told me that they were finishing a job from the day before and I should have never been told that. When the tech finally arrived the work took about forty minutes, she was nice enough and seemed as though she knew what she was doing. There are billboards all over the place that advertise tenoutlets changed for$100.00, imagine my shock when my bill was $480.00 !!! FOR THREE OUTLETS !!! ( I supplied two of the three outlets ) When the tech was questioned on this price she deducted the travel fee of $65 and gave us a coupon for $50.00 off, bringing the total to roughly $365..... I thought that she had made a mistake with the pricing and paid her and thought that I would correct it with the company. When I called the company and asked to speak to the owner several times I was told that I could not speak with him at all. They let me talk to one of their managers who said the pricing was correct but b/c of the delays in getting the job done  deduct another $50.00 So basically I was charged 315  replace the three outlets...when I asked why the bill was so high I was told that it was a difficult job.... if it was so difficult why did it only take 40 minutes ???? This is robbery !! I will never use them again and will tell anyone looking for an electrician to stay away !!

i had a small electrical fire and i called them to come out they told me that it was almost 7000 to fix it...i was in a panic as we were out of our house and my kids were staying at family members homes.  i was ready to put up my house for a loan to fix it...well i found someone else to do the work and it only cost me 750 . so u tell me what the hell they r thinking...ripping people off is about it...there is no way when i was consulted by 2 other lisenced electrician who gave me much lower rates and told me that it sounded like they were trying to scam me!!!!! u people should be ashamed for trying to make money that is outrageous and unfair to families in need.

I would give this place a negative star rating if I could! They have horrible customer service and poor reliability. I was promised a visit on a Wednesday, they had kept rescheduling through Friday! I do not recommend this place ! Go with Titan heating and cooling they are great!

This is a summary of what I have gone through since Thursday, it is now Monday:

Complaint filed with the BBB: Water tank needed repaired or replaced. Appointment made for Friday 1/10/14 at 5:30pm. Called around 7pm to check status, notified that they were busy and I would be bumped to the next day with a window of Noon to 4pm. Called at 1pm and was assured that a tech would be coming and that I would receive a call to notify me when they were coming. Called again at 3:15pm, restated the issue and again was reassured that help was on the way. At 8:49pm, used the Gillece website and entered a chat with customer service explaining that no tech arrived and that I didn't receive a call to inform me that they weren't coming. Rep stated that they had Sunday hours and I could call at 8am.

Called Sunday, 1/12/14 at 8:02am, was assigned a window of 10am-2pm. Called at 12:30 and was assured that I was on the list. Rep took all of my info and I stated that there was an open service call from Friday and she stated I can see that this is not the first time you have called.

It is 6pm on the 12th and I still have not recieved a call. I have been without hot water since Thursday.

I find this to be negligent and poor customer service. I am living in sub-human, sub-standard conditions. I have to boil water to take a bath and wash dishes. This is not sanitary.

NEVER USE GILLECE.  POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Oh yeah, and I was informed today that my complaint with the BBB was closed because it was deemed invalid!

The service technicians were fine, polite. You think to yourself will I lose $100 bucks -service fee- if I call another plumber.  I told the technicians the part cost $50- why is the repair $900.   It is like charging $50 for a loaf of bread. Outrageous He showed me the chart. I don't know why I didn't cancel. Oh- I know why, I had called three others plumbers and none of them could schedule time to come out.  I think criminal investigations need to take place with Gillace. The repair literally took 10 minutes.. They were also five hours late. I think being late made me act irrationally and request the work to be complete when I had been waiting for five hours. This city rots.

Stay away from this company.  They are just BAD!!!! First they won't come when they say...and you won't  get the credit they promise.  When and if they do show up...they won't be able to fix your problem unless you pay over $6,000.00 for the repair.  They said I had a broken pipe in my basement  floor and it would be at least $6,000.00 to fix it.  This didn't make sense to me...so I paid them for thier time and sent them on thier way.  I called another company and all I needeed was to have my main drain snaked out....this charge was only $250.00.  Gillece is a total scam....DO NOT EVER USE THEM!!!!   We ended up taking them to court and got the money back we paid them.

Our sewer backed up in the basement and we called a 1/2 dozen plumbers without success.  Finally, at my wife's insistence, I called Gillece.
I was leary of calling them, given their ratings and history.  They returned my call with good news.  A plumber was available and would be here in an hour.  He diagnosed the issue and cleared the line in 5 minutes!  He was friendly, informative , and the price was great!  I know this was a minor job but the overall service I received was  excellent.

I bought a home and wanted to have the sewer line cleaned just to be on the safe side, called Gillece and was told my lines were setup badly, I was told they could repair it in a day, so I decided to let them do the work.  The next day which was a Saturday they began the work and I immediately started to regret my decision, first off it ended up taking 4 days not one they milked the job in my opinion they had a worker show up and he basically camped out and chilled for a day then the dropped off a small trailer that was left in front of my house for 3 days, the original guy that convinced me to get the work done told me he never told me it would take a day,  then he kept trying to scare me with the plumbing inspector might not pass my house because some of the other plumbing work was not up to code, basically trying to up sell me, very stressful to have your basement torn up and constantly being told that you need to spend more money for them to fix it all the right way, IE charge you for more stuff you don't really need, my fav it the camera what a bunch of bull, was told my whole sewer line was bad all the way out to the street and that I should consider a plastic liner another 3 or 4k, this whole experience has left a bad taste and a big bill to boot, so do yourself a favor and shop around.  I feel like I got Ripped OFFF!!! DON'T CALL GILLECE!!!!

Their pricing is ridiculous,, just found out that my whole HVAC only cost 2k plus labor total only cost me 5k max but they charged me 10k ( special discount according what they said).

Offered a $99 special to clear a clogged drain.  Were unable to unclog the drain, and sent a specialist to investigate.  Investigation revealed a clog deep in the back yard which would require an expensive repair in the thousands of dollars with a backhoe.  High pressure sales pitch included a deal that only was good for that day and a crew that was tough to schedule.

I was skeptical and called a local plumber who was able to quickly clear the drain using a similar power snake.  No clogs or collapsed lines as they indicated.  I complained about their service and tried to get a refund, and they responded with legal threats and lies about me to my township!

Gillece wanted to charge me 5800.00 for a new furnace in a 968 sq ft home. The tech also tried to sell me duct work cleaning and a electrical protection box. When I told him I was going to shop around, the tech made the comment You get what you pay for. I said That hasn't been my experience. He tried to pressure me to have the job done that day. I said no way.

Triangle did the job for 2860.00. So I was glad I shopped around. I own several properties and knew 5800 was way out of line , and to boot that was Gillece's cheapest option. He was trying to sell me a furnace for over 13,000. NUTS!  Gillette does the work ok but obviously they are preying on people who don't know the true cost of things. I hope I save a few other people before they spend money they don't have to.

We called Gillece first thing in the morning to see if they had anyone available to check a plumbing leak in our bathroom, and were told it was no issue and someone would be out in the afternoon. My husband took the day off work so he could be there when the arrived. Midday, a representative from Gillece called and informed him they wouldn't be coming out because they got too busy. I get that things come up, especially if they were on a tight schedule, but to go from being told the afternoon was wide open and it would be no problem to having someone come out and then having the appointment cancelled is a bit ridiculous.

So - if you like wasting vacation days and enjoy being jerked around, Gillece is a great option. If you're a normal person, you'll want to pick someone (anyone) else.

Emily, I appreciate that you are likely in a marketing or coms role at Gillece and aren't responsible for their policies or practices, so this is not directed at you, you're just doing your job.

I'm never going to get my money back and the company is probably still trying to scam people in the same way it did with me. Calling in to discuss my concerns isn't going to change anything and was the first thing i tried when this all happened originally. Since writing my original review 11 months ago I learned that the PA Attorney Generals office is actively investigating your company for the exact same type of business practices I reported. Hopefully that will change something.

I had the service manager come to my house today, as part of the plan that was purchased on the home for another service, for a boiler check. The service manager had the audacity to insinuate to absurd things and insult my grandfather. My house has been in my family for almost 100 years. Regardless, as a service manager he should have known better than to insult anyone's family member. He also demanded to start work today (remember he came for a service check and had told me everything was in good working order), as well as try to bully me into calling my mother while he was there so he could start work. The manager also would not let up about prices being fair which I already know they are not.

This business is overpriced and tries to pray on woman and new/young home owners to buy things that aren't needed. I will never give this company a dime!!

I would give a zero if I could. I scheduled an appointment to have a bathroom sink installed .. I needed it pretty quickly. I had all supplies already. I was quoted 1200.00 to hook up a sink!!!! My original plumber quoted me 100.00 but unfortunately got Covid and cancelled.
So I had to still pay Gillece  65.00 for NOTHING!!!!  What a scam!  We watched a  you tube video and actually installed it ourselves:).  I still can't believe he wanted 1200.00 to hook up a sink!

My husband and I called Gillece on 5/24 about a potential backup in our sewer line. We were told somebody would be out that same day before 4pm. However, when I called at 4, they then said someone would be out tomorrow. The plumber came (now on Memorial Day), to snake the drain. Then he says that it didn't work and we needed to jet the line...for $1000. Okay, did that. After paying the $1000, it allegedly still didn't fix the problem. So he told me that the line was broken and would need to be replaced. That would cost around $5300, but could easily turn into a $20,000 job which he reminded me of several times. While trying to figure out how we could afford this job, he went home so we could figure out what to do. In this, I talked to my husband's step dad who had someone willing to come out and look at it. Meanwhile, I had to move my family, including our 10 month old daughter into a hotel room for 2 days because Gillece scared us into thinking I couldn't use the plumbing in my house. When the other guy came out, he said that there were only roots from our bushes in the line and we only needed chemicals to put down the drain to fix the problem. So we did this and now have no problems.

The line was never broken. We were lied to and feel like we were conned out of $1000, and potentially more if we had listened to this company. I believe this company preys on people who have little knowledge of these kinds of issues and uses fear to get them to pay astronomical prices by making problems appear way worse than they actually are.

Hate it when companies lie, especially when our heating system is not working and they promise to have someone out by noon.  Not sure in this day why customer service companies find a need to lie, since they will get bad reviews.
EDIT- OK, customer service was crap, but the guy who came out and fixed my furnace was professional, friendly and did a perfect job and saved me a lot of money. Great guy, professional and friendly. So, the people out in the field doing the work are great, the idiots answering phones are morons.

Not happy at all with this company.  Had a Friday 8:00 - 12:00 time slot.  Received a call at 11:30 that it might be a little after noon.  Received another call late afternoon that they cannot make it, and to schedule another day.  Sure, my sewer is backed up, have a house full of guests, so I'll just wait and take another day off next week!  Fortunately found a plumber that late day that showed up as promised.

One winter we called them when our heating malfunctioned. They set a time to come. They didn't come. We called again. They set another time to come. They didn't come.

In hindsight, thank goodness. Given their egregiously unethical practices it is astonishing that they remain in operation.

Worst customer service ever. I called them to come out to snake the main line and the machine broke when they just had started. They came back next day but the flow was a little better and they didn't want to snake it but they wanted to charge me. I asked that they finish snaking the line and I would pay them. They refused and went so far as to tell me never to call them again. They were so extremely rude. Never offered an explanation as to why they felt it wasn't necessary. I only wanted them to do what they wanted me to pay for. So many people I know have bad stories to tell unfortunately I didn't know until after. I can't imagine how they stay in business. Walk away... no RUN!!!

This company was terrible to deal with.  They said they would be there before 1400.  1400 came and went and there was no technician.  1600 came and went and no technician.  While I am on my way to teach my class at 1800 they call and say a technician would be there in 45 minutes.

Fortunately someone else was able to deal with them when they showed up.  They wanted to charge $579 partially because of the conditions being dark and rainy.  It was not dark and raining prior to 1400.

When this was disputed they tried to work something out and changed the quote $454.

They were told to pack sand and still asked for the site fee.  This was accompanied by a document that they asked to be signed.  The document actually was an agreement to pay for and for them to do the work quoted above.  The fee was paid by check, no document was signed.

Should have looked them up here first.  Terrible company to do business with.  I don't know how they manage to not have a tech available.  I can't imagine almost anyone does business with them.

They are 110% crooks. They gave me a $11k estimate for a new furnace to replace mine that was 7 years old. They told me the heat condenser was cracked (it was) was no longer used or made. They were very knowledgeable, but make you worry about every little thing. They mentioned other things about my water heater, electrical box, A/C, to make you worry about those as well. They get everything together fast and convenient for you to have your furnace replaced by the next day (probably so you don't have time to think about being ripped off). Don't do it. I got two other estimates and they were both well under $5k and they both said, don't call Gillece!. Also, the one I went with made a call and was able to get the warranty to work for replacing the heat condenser, even though I wasn't the original home owner. So, I went from a new furnace for $11k to a warranty covered heat condenser (that they said they don't make or use anymore) replaced for $800 by someone else. It's unfortunate that I have to make this 1 star and not negative 5 stars. Call anyone else!!!!

Let me start by saying that I will never call Gillece again for any job.  They are completely overpriced and their service is terrible!!!!!!
With all that said we are remodeling a small bathroom converting a tub to a shower base.  Called several other plumbers for the job and never got a call back.
Did call Gillece and scheduled an appointment .  Was told on the phone that they would have the equipment to do the job that day!!!  Mike showed up at around 9:30.  Now my husband has all the plumbing exposed since he is in construction.  Mike said he needed to look at an additional section under the floor but he said he could not wait the 10 minutes for my husband to cut it out.  So he said he would be back tomorrow morning.  He didn't have time to work on our job but we caught him up at the top of our street just sitting in the van for about an hour doing nothing!!!!   Showed up the next morning at around 9:00.  Looked at the job and then went out in his van to write up the estimate.  About a half an hour later put a piece of paper on the table talking about an HVAC/Air conditioning service for $18 a month.  Then proceeded to talk about the job.  Said it would be $3100 without the service but would discount the plumbing service to $2500 if we took the service.  I expressed my concerns to him about a service I never asked for or wanted.  My husband and I are stunned at this point and are completely at his mercy since we have only the 1 bathroom with a tub and agreed to the job.  So Mike left and went to go buy parts until 11:30.  I called the office with my displeasure of the price of my 5x5 bathroom and talked with Carmen who brought my price down to $2400 and would not budge any further.  Would not tell me how long the job would take.  Mike came back around 11:30 and was completed by 4:00.  I am in sales and know that this business is all about parts and labor.
This job worked out the following way:  Approx $200 for parts and $2200 for 4  1/2  hours of labor.  Carmen said that their plumbers are highly trained and they have a lot of overhead.  So apparently the plumbers make almost  $500 an hour!!!  My brother in law was here to help with our proejct and made the same conversion to his bathroom and another plumber only charged him $300 total.  We still feel so violated by this experience and never want to hear Gillece again!!!  Cant even imagine what they do to people that don't know any better!!!!

I've been meaning to write this review for a long time- and am happy to finally get around to it.  As a new homeowner in the Pittsburgh area, I didn't really have a heating/plumbing service that I knew- so I fell for the constant advertising of Gillece.  I had them come out and service my boiler right before the winter (September timeframe).

After the preventative maintenance, the second time I turned the boiler on- it crapped out (which happened to coincide on a day that I was home from work, sick with the flu).  I called Gillece to come out to service it- and then things went downhill quickly.  They identified that my boiler was not fixable for less than $6,000, and that it would require a MINIMUM of $11,000 for a new boiler- but that to get a proper boiler, it would cost at least $20,000.  When considering the fact that I live in a 1,200 square foot home- this was entirely out of line- a new boiler shouldn't cost me any more than (at the absolute maximum) $6,000.  So, I told them I would have to think about it, and called a local handyman.  The end result of his review was that the transformer was blown- and 15-minutes and $75 later, my boiler was up and running, and has been ever since.

My guess is that Gillece can finance their constant ad campaigns by ripping off uninformed/underinformed consumers, particularly the young (yours truly) and elderly.  The sales job they tried on their boiler system was criminal- and in my opinion, this company should be avoided at ALL costs.

We called because my bathroom gfi outlet was not responding. We also inquired on the $99 10 outlet special. Within no time Tiffany came and diagnosed the gfi issue and replaced 10 outlets on my main level. My gfi outlet couldn't the one of the 10 outlets but it wasn't a bad deal for it to be replaced. Worst Heating and Cooling company I have ever dealt with, Charged $97.00 just to come out and find that my R410A refrigerant is low in my AC Unit....was told it would be better to replace the unit then to either recharge it or find the leak..(the AC unit is 6 years old)..so I asked how much to find the leak...they stated $1600.00....(which is way too much to find a leak) then I asked how much to recharge it and they said it looks like it needs 2 lbs of R410A and that would be $385.00 and he would take the $97.00 trip charge off the bill...(another way to high cost) .and if I bought a new unit from them I would get the entire charge back. So, I told them to just recharge it....I know the recharge could last one day, one week or 1 year or more years so I was willing to risk it...Well, I get home from work and my wife hands me the detailed bill...it's $482.00....the $97.00 trip charge was never taken off. I know from prior homes that even using R-22 refrigerant (which is more expensive) that it shouldn't cost $385.00 for 2 lbs....what a complete ripoff this company is. Then the guy who sells their new units comes the next day and tries to sell me a whole new unit....inside and outside....when I just needed the AC outside unit....costs for crappy Amana or Goodman, $11,000.00 and $9,999.00....and just for the AC alone it would be $11,000.00....I should have known that this company over charges for work when they charged me $482.00 for 2 lbs of R410A? I know the recharge might not last 1 day or it could last weeks or last years...when you need more refrigerant, it's a sign you have a leak...could be a big leak or a pinhole leak, but $1600.00 to find a leak or $482.00 for 2 lbs of R410A refrigerant is a ripoff and their over charging customers....and then the hard sell to purchase a new unit when mine is only 6 years old is just a company to stay away from.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!! My husband and I had a sewer back up in our laundry room two weeks before Christmas2020. It was on a Friday afternoon and we should have called Restano, but Gillece offers a $99 special to unclog a drain. Their Plumber who is a salesman arrived at our house about 7PM as it was dark outside.  He ran a snake down our drain and told us that the trap was broken.  He told my husband it would cost $6500 to repair.  NOT THINKING.....we went ahead and had him repair the drain.  We should have told him NO and called Restano who does our heating work.  I truly regret....as those men are honest and very fair.  Our air trane air conditioner didn't even cost this much.  To make a long story short I inspected the drain and there were only two small pipes that they were attaching. I pray they fixed this correctly.  I called other plumbers to find a new trap can be installed for $3000 and Restano's office told me they never see sewer bills this high.  Our sewer is right next to the house some digging, but not much.  A person I use to repair things inspected it and said he thinks this was a true rip off.  Now I know why the Attorney General is investigating this company.  We are Senior citizens and trying to get a reduced bill.  If he reduces we will change our opinion some.

I waited 4 days for this company to show up to service my down unit. Every morning they called me to tell me a tech was on their way. So I waited. Each day near the end of the day they would call to tell me they were not going to make it. They also informed me their trucks do not run 24/7 which conflicts with their website completely. The commitments to service made on their website was not at all my experience and completely inaccurate.

When the tech did show up they were very professional. Rather than troubleshooting and repairing, they lean heavily towards complete replacement. Expect to see pricing quotes 3-4 times higher than the industry average. It's criminal in my opinion. I don't know how anyone can afford to do business with them? I obviously did not use them and cannot recommend them to anyone. I have heard their techs are on commission which may explain the ridiculous pricing. A terrible experience to say the least. Run!

Nice looking work trucks though. :-)

WARNING! SCAM. This company charged me $1347 for 30 minutes of labor and a blower wheel which when I looked it up with my furnace serial number cost $78. When they replaced the wheel it actually made the noise worse and the furnace seemed to be working even harder to keep up the temp. They lied to me about what the problem was and pressured me into a loan which turned out to be a credit card for payment. When I called the operation manager who replies to these I was told for 4 days she is unavailable. I was told by the customer service employee that I needed to have more patients. When Lindsey finally called me back she told me that this was just brought to her attention and she needed to investigate  and would call me the next day which obviously never happened. This company has Horrible business practice and they prey on people who don't know any better. Please save yourself and go with someone else. Can we have less stars? Called to have a shower leak fixed. Was told it would be $250 to cut the plaster to the leak ( and have to repair myself) then at least an additional $600 for an hour to fix the problem. $250 to cut a hole that would take 3-5 minutes!! Called them this weekend to fix an issue with my main drain...did not show up Saturday...came Sunday morning and gave a dramatic show...could not snake the drain...tried to convince me to spend 11k to break up my flooring in my basement and replace the lines...wanted me to immediately apply for financing and start the work...I waited til morning and visited the local guy...he cleared the issue and said I definitely have time to do that kinda work for $125....would never call them again

THEY ARE NOT INSURANCE FRIENDLY! THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF IF YOU ARE YOUNG AND AN ELDERLY. We called them because they are 24/7. We had water leak into basement and furnace. They sent someone out same day. We met Ron the manager. He was very determined to show you the deals and let me show you our deal book. He stated it after every sentenced while trying to explain what our problems were. At that point we should have known they are a money hungry company. We needed things fixed. For a price. They overcharged for the work being done and are known to rip people off. It's all over the news. (Mind you we found out after they had already started working and taking things out- but again we did need our furnace fixed. We had Geno and David service our stuff. Ron claimed we had gas leaking but allowed us to stay overnight with a leak gas. We called PeopleGas that same day after we had signed papers and they said we didn't have any gas leak or else we should have been evacuated. Also warning us about Gillece. Mentioning gas readers can be faked and set (which they showed me how it was done) so it can make a ticking noise , which Ron had done. We were stuck with the work being done. They knew we had water damaged and home owners but refused to cooperate and send our insurance an invoice of the work being done because they know they overcharged and overpriced. Could not break down the work being done including the price. They (Lauren- who is in charge of the paperwork) avoided all phone calls from both my insurance company and myself. What I learned...
1. Never Call Gillece Unless You Really Need Too
2. Gas Leak Readers Can Be Faked
3. Never Sign Papers without Reading Fine Print
4. THEY ARE NOT INSURANCE FRIENDLY!
5. They still fixed the damage. For an arm and a leg. Even maybe a kidney

please avoid this company at all cost. when the plumber arrived he told me that it was going to cost $400 to unclog a kitchen drain. when I told him that was too much he said he would call his boss and see if he could get it down lower. he came back and said it was going to be $275. That's an outrageous amount of money to snake a drain. also it's ridiculous that they negotiate prices. there should be a set hourly rate for plumbing services. not just arbitrary prices. I wouldn't use them again because I felt that the price was artificially inflated because I was a woman. when my son had called them over the holiday season 6 months ago, they charged him $100 to unclog his shower. beware.

I cannot give a stronger anti-recommendation to Gillece, particularly if you are in need of an urgent repair and are not able to price shop and compare. They provided an astronomical price without any breakdown for parts, labor, overhead, etc. They wouldn't even allow me to keep a copy of the quote, which I found to be incredibly weird. The full story is below but don't waste your time (or your $65 for an estimate) on these people.

I had a gas line leak and needed an urgent contractor estimate. Gillece sent someone out who proceeded to explain the work. The description of the work was consistent with what the gas company technician had explained. When it came time to give a price, the Gillece technician indicated that because the job would require digging, the minimum charge would be $4950 and would go up from there based on parts and labor.

I was blown away and he then proceeded to try to upsell me on having my entire supply line replaced, which would involve digging through my front yard for a few thousand more. When I asked for a breakdown of what the cost included (ie. excavation, parts, labor, etc.) he would not provide it and instead used bogus sales tactics like our work comes with a lifetime warranty. I already knew this quote was astronomical, but I confirmed it by getting two other contractors to quote me at less than 1/3 that price.

The fact is, companies like this don't try to provide value to their customers. They prey on people in vulnerable, uninformed, and sometimes desperate situations and exploit them. By being highly available to come out and give estimates for a reasonable fee, their strategy seems to be to find a sucker or two willing to bite on the ridiculous prices they quote. For others like me, they make their $65 for an hour of talking and move on. I strongly urge anyone to avoid this company and find a more reputable service company.

I would give 0 stars if it allowed me. I will never again reach out to Gillece for any work, not will I ever recommend them. Amanda, the manager (whose title should be stripped after her antics), at gillece heating and plumbing, is the most unprofessional person I've ever dealt with. I was cursed at on the phone after she was unwilling to help. She came across deceitful and slimy. Plain and simple she is a liar. I was very respectful and simply looking for insight on a potential issue that I wanted them to help with. Incredible the attitude I was met with. It only takes one bad experience to cause a landslide of business to go away. I truly hope this happens to Gillece Bridgeville after that ridiculous outburst she had. Plenty of other companies out there that are professional and helpful. They'll get my business.

Called Gillece to change 3 faucets.  They quoted $1100.00 which we agreed to even though we were shocked.  We needed the work done.   After 2.5 hours, the work was done.  $440.0 per hour.  They said it was based on the difficulty.  Difficulty for a plumber to change 3 faucets on a home 6 years old.  YIKES.  Then when using the website in order to try to talk to someone about the cost, it took 4 calls/website contacts to finally get a response 10 days later.  We just asked if they really thought $440.00 an hour was ethically proper.  They didn't answer the question. Just kept saying it was a difficult job.  Costs a  lot of money to advertise on TV, radio, billboards, and feed a parrot.  $440.00 an hour covers all that.  Very, very disappointed.

1) Always get a second price from somewhere else before you say yes to any Gillece offers.
2) Never rely on them for timely service. They will schedule, and reschedule, and then reschedule while you kill hours at home waiting for them.. After the 3rd time, they still wanted to reschedule... Oh, no..
We bought furnace from them so they were coming in to do tune-ups on yearly basis. When we asked for electrical work or plumbing, their quote is unbelievably higher than other offers (e.g., $2400 vs. $450 for two new outlets). Plus, they try to sell you things you'd not want. I couldn't believe that they urge us to change our working heater that they sold us 5 years ago ( (they want to sell us a new heater, but our energy efficient system still has 5 more years of warranty).

Beware!  After dealing for a week with a maim line sewer clog, we called Gillece who  came out to our home to flush out our main sewer drain. The serviceman, Joe, told my husband there was a huge crack in our pipe.  He said if we didn't repair the entire pipe, the pipe would collapse as would the road. He pushed my husband to sign papers and said they would finance the 11k cost of repair if we signed immediately!  My husband said he would be calling Unity Twp for their opinion. Gillece serviceman
,Joe, strongly cautioned him not to do this. The next day, Unity Twp came out and found there was no crack in the pipe, but there were some rocks a kid must have thrown down the clean out.  He said the stories of homeowners being scammed by large companies is frequent!!!  Unbelievable!!! Stay away from Gillece!  Shout out and thanks to Unity Twp!

Worst scam artists.  2 yrs ago our heat went out. It was December and our son was only a year old so naturally we freaked about heat. We called gillece and they came quick. The technician looked at our system and told us that the entire system was shot. He took out cameras and stared to document how bad the furnace was. He told me wife and I that they would get a salesmen out to talk about new furnaces.

The tech went upstairs on his phone and all I heard was I'll shoo him away when he gets here. That should've been a red flag.  A older gentleman showed up with brochures and booklets but was quickly told to leave by the tech under the pretends of oh we have someone else coming.

While we waited for the other salesmen my father in-law  came over. He began to question the tech. He asked if he checked the capacitor. The tech said yes. My father in law said grab another one and test it please the tech stormed out the house and spent 10 minutes in his truck looking for the part. He came back with one. The box looked brand new but the part looked old. The tech put in the part and the furnace didn't work still. My father in law knew something was up. The tech got made at him and said well I can't help you anymore and left.

My father in law came back with the capacitor from his house just to test it. He plugged his into our system and the furnace kicked on with full heat. By the time gillece's other salesmen showed up, the heat was on and running perfectly. The salesmen didn't have anything to say. And to top it off, he didn't even come with any sales catalogs which leads me to believe that it was a set up by the the tech and the salesmen.

2 years later and our furnace has been running great. A $10 part was the issue and not an entire system replacement.

I have spoke with coworkers that have used gillece and had very similar experiences. I will NEVER EVER recommend this company to any one. Not even people I hate. Scam artist!

Biggest scam and piece of garbage Company ever. Had an emergency when my furnace went down and they were the only ones that could come quickly. Have a toddler and my house was reading at 45 degrees because it was the dead of winter. They convinced me I needed a new furnace, that I had no warranty (all lies apparently). Anything and everything to get me to buy. I was desperate and if I had more time wouldn't done much more research. Biggest mistake of my life and I'm in the hole thousands of dollars to them.  Scum bags to the fullest extent. Please don't be suckered in like so many others.

We used this plumbing company yesterday and will tell you Never Again!  We have a main home drain that clogs about once a year, and plan on making a permanent fix when we can better afford the $5000-$10,000 replacement of the line.
We made an appointment with Gillece Plumbing to come in and snake the line to allow continued use of the system.  The technician arrived after a reasonable time, and after being told of the situation ran his camera in the affected drain line.  After a few minutes he informed us that the blockage was 7-10 feed from the drain access and he wouldn't be able to clean it with the equipment he carried with him.  He said he would bring in his water blasting pipe cleaner and do the job for about $1900 plus tax.  He said the blockage was like apple pie filling and couldn't be opened any other way.
After a few minutes of discussion we informed the tech we would have to think about his proposal.  He offered a 1-year guarantee in the job.  The good thing was he didn't charge us anything for the show up , which is the companies norm.  If they don't fix the problem you aren't charged.

After the Gillece tech left, we called Roto Rooter and their tech arrived later in the afternoon and opened up the affected drain line using the same equipment the Gillece tech had with him in about 20 minutes at a cost of under $100.  The job that couldn't be done, was done in a very short time at a very reasonable price.

We will never use Gillece Plumbing Services again.  We will call Roto Rooter.

The pricing is outrageous. How outrageous? They tried charging me $400 to unclog my sink drain. Their billboards said they were offering a $49 drain clog special. When I initially called to set up the appointment they said that the billboards were correct. Long story short, they showed up over 2 hours late, tried charging me $65 for showing up, and said the price was actually $400. If they would have told me this on the initial call I would have told them not to bother.

Luckily I used a sink plunger and that took care of the problem! Save yourself the $400 and get yourself a $10 sink plunger.

Terribly deceptive business practices, girl told me a technician would arrive between 12noon and 4pm then calls me at 3:30pm and I missed the call but called back at 3:34pm and she tells me the technician was sent on another job because I didn't answer the phone immediately. Then when I hung up the phone out of anger some woman from gillece calls back and starts harassing me telling me that I was nasty on the phone to her customer service girl. I've never seen such a badly run business so bad the owner has to wear a bullet proof vest to protect himself due to the company overcharging customer.

We were having issues with a 6 year old hot water heater which was new when we built the house.  Gillece came and decided that we need a new hot water tank.  Even though i thought it was premature,  i thought fine... give me a quote for a tankless water heater to replace the old tank style heater.   They gave me a quote for $8,400!! I called a competitor and was told that we really just needed a new expansion tank which was around $300. We had already talked ourselves into a new tankless system and asked for a quote... the competition came in at $5,300... same  brand, same size!  We also had a leaking kitchen faucet,  Gillece quoted me $600+ dollars to replace just the handle,  not the faucet spout, just the handle...i got the same job done with our handyman, same handle for $300!! If these aren't predatory practices I don't know what are... luckily we did our due diligence but i recommend that if you call Gillece, that you also shop around because their prices are off the chart!! They got my $85 diagnostic fee and that's the last they will see of my money.

Gillece is the worst company for HVAC in Pittsburgh. I got a coupon for a $50 A.C. Tuneup and the guy came in to tell us that we needed a new water heater, furnace and A.C.. And then when we asked him for the tuneup we paid for he said he would schedule a tech that never showed or called. This guy that showed up first  was just an evaluator. He also put stickers over all of our regular guys contact information without telling us! Mind you- we just wanted an AC Tuneup and this guy who is not certified in anything took it upon himself to go downstairs to say we everything we have is crap and we need new everything- even though EVERYTHING is working fine.

Use Restano's- trustworthy and won't cover up prior service provider's information or say you need new everything and give you an attitude. I'm going to post this on to all Gillece locations in Pittsburgh so everyone knows not to go with them- even if you get a coupon that sounds like a good deal - it's just a scam to try and get you to spend way more than necessary.

Hide your wallet. A Gillece warranty in not worth the paper it is written on. They disguise high pressure sales man as technicians. The so called technicians call these guys in after they arrive and will pretty much scare you into buying something from them. You are guaranteed to have buyers remorse as soon as they leave thier subpar par work behind. It is rare to come into contact with a business as shady as these people are. They prey upon your lack of technical knowledge and scare little old ladies out of their hard earned money. If you don't believe me just read some of the other reviews. If I ever see one of their trucks on my street I will personally warn the innocent victim before they victimize them. If your salesman is named Steve this guy is extremely unscrupulous. They cost me almost 12 thousand dollars and rigged a 5 dollar part on a top of the line furnace that sprayed water in and shorted out all of the electronics. Then wanted to sell me new furnace for 9000 plus dollars.

Don't bother with these guys if you don't want to spend an atrocious amount of money. Had them come out to repair a pinhole leak in my main waterline. They told me it couldn't be done because the pipe was no longer rounded and therefore the ENTIRE line from curb to meter need replaced. After writing up the estimate it came out to nearly 10,000$ but after complaining they brought it down to 7600 after an excavation special. Needless to say we simply at the 65$ estimate fee and had our contractor come out and look. After a few optional plumbing tweaks and replacing the line by simply digging into the foundation a bit, we saved 7300$. This type of business practice needs to condemned and outlawed. We feel as though they saw a young couple (were 25) and simply tried to con us into something completely unnecessary. Don't even bother with their initial opinion, I feel confident any private joe-schmo will charge less.

I've only had a 25% success rate in Gillece Services actually showing up for scheduled appointments, and that was my first appointment in 2016.  While the price was high for what they did, they did do good work installing an outlet under my kitchen sink for a garbage disposal.  The technician also was asked to look at outlets in the house that were not grounded, and ended up getting me to pay several hundred dollars for a whole-house surge protector.  While the price was tough to swallow, I at least had peace of mind that my electric work was done well and that the home's electrical devices were protected.  My next appointment was a courtesy water test of some sort that was offered after completing my electrical work.  They no-showed for that appointment, which was rescheduled and they no-showed again.  I figured maybe I'd fare better 5 years later scheduling work with them since I'd actually be spending money.  Joke was on me.  They were supposed to arrive for a morning appointment.  I reached out late in the morning for a status update to be told that I was the next appointment in the queue and that all the technicians were still at their first appointments.  Come 3 pm I call again because they still haven't shown up.  I'm told once again I'm next in the queue, which is ridiculous considering I was already told that some 4 hours prior.  And then they have the gall to lecture me that they don't guarantee appointments.  What a pathetic and unprofessional way to run a business.  I'll use someone else from now on.

I would also like to give them a negative star! This company disgusts me! I resent hearing their commercials b/c I know someone is about to be ripped off.. They tried to charge us 18 grand for an issue that was 2 grand. They will start immediately and try and pigeon hole you into never being able to go with someone else. It is absolutely awful. NEVER EVER EVER Use this company.....I'm disgusted I have to give them one star just so I can write a review to let them know how bad they are. They tried to take advantage of us as new homeowners...they quoted us at 18 grand, my gf spent the whole night crying Saturday night b/c she was going to have to use her deceased mother's inheritance...THANK GOD, we stopped the check, and the work order on mother's day! NEVER use this company...even if it's emergency, still dont' use them. They are complete trash. We called on Saturday April 4th because we had a blocked sewer line we thought. Gillice came out on Sunday and found the problem gave me a price on what it would cost said that we need to replace the sewer line from the house to the road $28000 dollars said work would be done in three days. Hahaha first day they dug up the yard. Second day the guy digging came back and dug for maybe a hour then sat in his truck wanting on the plumber,  he showed up at 4:30pm looked around said he would be back the next day. Third day they did lay some pipe but most of the time they kept filling in the hole and digging it back out. Fourth day layed more pipe the plumber said that he would be able to get done the next day. Well that day never happened I got a call and said that they had an emergency and would be back on Saturday. Well that never happened because I got a call that they wrecked the truck but they were going to be here on Easter Sunday and finish the job. They did show up on Easter Sunday and worked four hours if that. Still not done. Three days is now over a week. And yes I understand that emergency happen but what do you call not being hook up to the sewer.

Tech was friendly but honestly horrible company.  Wanted to replace everything in the house with a way above average cost for furnace, A/C, and labor.  We only needed servicing / cleaning.  They would not proceed with cleaning service after we turned down new systems.  We are new home owners and should have looked locally before resorting to this company - especially now that I've seen the other reviews.

Those of us that life in the General Pittsburgh Area. If you deal with Gillece heating, plumbing, they do it all around the house, be careful. The men that come out are excellent, their office staff needs a lot of help, they will schedule your appointment and give you a 4 hour window, then, no one shows up or calls. I have had three different issues with them, wasted hours of my time waiting and doing as they asked, they say give us one more chance, we are sorry. I am sick of that excuse, if you can not schedule, make a call and let someone know you are not coming, then how are you in business. They did a great job of selling, and installing the units, then, it was we no longer need you. If you have had a good experience, i think you were lucky, i will call the 3 stooges heating before i call them again.

I called them to replace an electrical switch in the garage, and also to change a light bulb in an outdoor fixture I could not reach. I was pleasantly surprised that the company scheduled a technician to come by the very next day (Tuesday) between 12 and 4pm. Great! Around 3:30 that day, they called to say they couldn't make the appointment. We rescheduled for Wednesday, 12-4pm. The same thing happened on Wednesday--they couldn't make the appointment. So, after I asked for the service fee to be reduced or waived (they would charge me $30 instead of $65), they agreed to come on Friday between 12-4pm. Finally, the technician showed up. She pulled up in a truck with a giant slogan that says There the same day or you don't pay. I pointed this out and suggested that I shouldn't pay any service charge. She complied; I paid $0 for the service charge. But if I hadn't said anything at all, I am certain they would have charged me the full $65. So much for truth in advertising. The company distributes a Code of Ethics to their customers and I don't think they follow their own code.

A second complaint I have is what the technician did after she arrived. She was going to provide me an estimate before doing the work. Ok, sure. After a good 20 minutes she called me down and provided me with not one estimate, but 5 estimates. She wanted to install a whole-house surge protector. No thanks. She wanted to completely replace the outdoor fixture. Um, no, just the light bulb (which I was providing). Ultimately, she wanted $80 just to change the light bulb. I guess this would be hazard pay because it would include getting out her ladder. Anyway, I just had her replace the switch I needed.

The cost for the work was $207. This was purely labor cost because I provided the switch that needed to be replaced, and as I said above, the service charge was waived. I think paying $207 for an hour's work is unfair, especially when that hour includes the 20 minutes it took for her to provide me a cost estimate. I was expecting something around $75.

Now, about the technician's performance: it was careful and efficient and complete. I have no complaints about the work done.

GET A SECOND OPINION!  - So our a/c went out over the weekend.  Called Gillece early afternoon because their name is everywhere and they promised fast 24/7 service.  MISTAKE.  They did show up eventually:  first one person, then another.  I am a marketing major, and my wife and I are both attorneys.  Let me tell you, they have this high-pressure sales thing down to a science!  Claimed we needed a new motor ($1800 minimum) and gave us huge pressure to buy a whole new system because they claimed our existing one was dangerous and a safety hazard.  They quoted us $10,000 to $12,000 for a whole new system.  They had all kinds of stories about a/c units similar to ours blowing up, catching fire, etc.  Needless to say their whole approach seemed very shady and 70's-used-car-salesman-like, and we told them we'd like to sleep on it.  They were very anxious to know when we'd contact them the next day, and tried to commit us to a time for a second appointment:  now I know why!

These people acted like ambulance chasers, in my opinion:  they tried to swoop in before the other guys so that they could get us to contract with them.  We now know it was the only chance they had of getting our business, because a second opinion revealed the ONLY problem with our system was the capacitor!!! (About a $250 fix, max -- if we don't DIY). Online research revealed that the capacitor is the most common repair to an a/c unit:  something Gillece, according to their inspection checklist, conveniently didn't even check!  I feel compelled to write this review because the attempted ripoff was so incredibly blatant.  We had to pay Gillece $95 for the service call, but saved $10 grand by NOT going with them.  Further, if we ever do need a new unit, it will cost about $7500 to install the type of unit Gillece wanted $10 grand for (with all comparable warranties, service, etc.)  How are these people still in business?

Six years ago my hot water heater broke down. I called Gillece Plumbing and Heater Company to replace the hot water heater and they added an expansion tank, which was now required to bring it up to code.

The salesman talked me into buying the extended Lifetime warranty.  The warranty covered everything, in the handwriting of the salesman.   I paid $2,600 for that warranty.

Since I thought I had a Lifetime warranty, I called them again in October of 2018, when there was a problem with the expansion tank.  When the repairman arrived, he said that the expansion tank leak was dangerous should be replace very soon.  He read the Lifetime Warranty, but said he would have to clear it with the main office.

Despite what the warranty said, Gillece now said that the $2600 warranty only covered the hot heater and not the expansion tank, which would be an additional $515 installed.   The repairman said we could shop around for a company to do it more cheaply.  But wouldn't that void the warranty?  He said no.   But if Gillece won't honor the original Lifetime warranty, I don't think I can take the repairman's word for that.  Looking at former employee reviews of the company, even they say Gillece is a bad place to work and offers few benefits.

I naturally complained, received a call back from a representative, and was told that, indeed, the $2600 covered only the hot water heater.  I said to her read what the contract says.  She said she had it right in front of her and that it only covered the hot water heater.  She was an immovable stone wall.  I called my lawyer, showed him the document, and he said we had a case.  Evidently, Gillece is notorious for these kind of bad faith warranties.  I don't know how they stay in business.

First: Called them for the $99 offer to unclog drain. They tried to charge me $400 with hidden charges that they never explained to me or have in their add.

Second: callen the. To replace a 15A breaker. They tried to charge me $650 to install the $35 breaker

They are fast, but watch out for hidden costs. Fight the price up front of you will end paying five times what you will pay with other provider.

Jason came out within 2 hours of my call and had my problem fixed with 15 minutes. I had to have a GFI socket installed in my laundry room. Jason was very helpful, friendly and courteous. - 5 STARS for Electrician.  NOW read below.....

HOWEVER..... I made an appointment for Gillece to send a Plumber out at the same time (9am) got a call at 4pm!! to say that they would not be able to send a plumber today as promised it would be the next day. Thanks! At the last minute I was scrambling to find someone to come out the same day thank goodness I was able to find someone. So for Plumbing request my stars would be ZERO!!!

Same problem as a lot of other people. They said my clogged sewer line couldn't be fixed. It would cost $1500 to get it jetted. And if that wouldn't work, it would cost $10,000 for a new line.  Called another company who had it fixed in 5 minutes. Beware of these people
