Tipton's Plumbing

Backstory:
I have a tankless water heater that stopped working years ago.  Since I moved into this house, I have not used the master bathroom until now.  I had a company come out, and they gave me an outrageous quote of over 2k to replace the tankless water heater.  The company called me and told me they had difficulty finding the unit to replace the old one; it might take months.  So I ended up looking for a new service I found and called Tipton's.  Tipton's sent out a gentleman named Luis.  Luis replaced the unit on the spot for a quarter of the price the other company quoted me.  Embarrassingly I forgot to tip him!  
Now:
My sprinkler system burst during the last bad ice storm.  I finally called to get it repaired, and I called Tipton's first because Luis was so excellent the first time.  Not only did he fix the sprinkler, but he also did it quickly and for less than the appraisal.  The first appraisal guy said they might have to dig up our driveway, which we had expected.  Luis did the job without digging up the driveway, and I know his work is solid because our water heater has worked perfectly.  THANK YOU, LUIS, from Tipton's plumbing!
Message to you:
Finding reliable, ethical, and good people with good morals is hard.  Luis is that person, I can't speak for other people at Tipton's, but all my dealing with them have been honest, helpful, and reliable.  I would recommend Tipton's, but I will only ask for Luis, and if he is not available, I will wait ( He is that awesome.).

Other reviews, I don't understand why people from other states are reviewing them. If they moved from here and used them, my experience with them was different.

Just a reminder never to hire this plumber. Clearly this owner enjoys the power trip of harassing good Christians in need. He will have judgment, but until then please use any other plumbing service

I was not told of the $65 dollar charge just for an estimate. I cancelled when I asked the second time, called back to confirm with the boss, whoever answered was rude. Do not use them and ask about pricing before they arrive! I already have paid someone to tell me the drain needs replacing. They missed out on a big job!

Then the owner messaged a response to my private cell. Creepy. I had to block. I will complain to Yelp.

I called for an estimate to install a gas starter in my fireplace... even explaining I was in the Navy and also a Registered Nurse, he wanted to charge over $60 just for an estimate... when I asked about waving it, re replied that's how I set up my business!
Would NOT recommend TIPTON'S PLUMBING!

Came to house 10-3-22 to unclog toliet which was backing up in tub.  The 30 minute job cost $295 (originally 325 until I asked to reduce).  It is 10-20-22 and the problem still exists (gradually since 10-3-22).  I called for them to come back out, and he first noted to me was the one who haggled on price.   They said they would come back out for $250.00.  I noted it should be no charge, and he stated to me good luck with that.   I hung up. Too expensive and does stand by work.  Would never use again (and I used before 10-3-22).  DO NOT CALL THEM.    The only thing they have going is their same day service.  Will file claim with BBB.

Called for a quote, guy blatantly made fun of me on the line for asking for clarification.

He said there was a minimum fee and then they'd come up with a price later. When I asked how much he thought it would be for our specific needs, he said he'd give me three prices. He then repeated the same vague answer three times in his patronizing, verbatim drone and continued to say everything in the same repetitive way. I might have felt belittled by someone of 'superior intelligence' but the guy couldn't even pronounce Nikon right.

It's a relief to see I'm not the only one who is of the same opinion. Their family company claim just means that the worst people stay hired.

Quick-fast service. Very polite and thorough. We had an urgent issue to take care of. We had a different plumber and company come to our home 2 days prior. The previous company treated the visit as a consultation and did not investigate thoroughly. Two days later the issue became more urgent.
  First, spoke to Zach who directly asked for location. Due to our issue and concern, he treated the issue urgently, as needed, and dispatched a plumber to be at our home within a two hour window. He offered to call back when they were on their way.
  Luis was dispatched to our house. He was calm, listened to all our concerns (even though you could tell his expertise immediately knew what the problem was). He diagnosed and fixed the issue. Before leaving he answered our questions, gave some education on what could have caused it, ideas to maintain, etc.
  I just wish I had found their company via Yelp before the previous plumbing company. It would have saved is a $90 fee from the other company which did not finish the job.
  Luis was thorough, patient and professional. We really appreciate Tipton Plumbing! We would highly recommend them!

I should have known they were awful based on the fact they could come within the hour. Total rip off company. Wanted to charge 3x what other companies were charging and I already had all of the parts! AND they make you pay just to come out. Most companies will give you a free estimate. I think these guys are going around collecting service fees and then writing estimates for outlandish and insane prices but making $45! Pretty good gig if you do it enough times a day. Dishonest, horrible. NEVER again.

Had them come out a year ago, because my downstairs toilet and shower were backing up. They snaked, and said there was nothing in the lines, and everything was good. Charged more than any other plumber has in previous years, and the very next day it happened again. When I called about this, they said they did what they were paid to do, and I would have to pay them to come back out and run a camera through the system.... I WILL NOT USE THEM AGAIN!

The owner sent me a racist message saying that he hopes I'm an America and can prove it just because I updated my review because a yelper asked me if my plumbing problem was fixed by Andy's plumbing still works. I updated my review to say yes. Then Tipton plumbing (owner sent that racist remark to me when i am a United States citizen) just because he did a bad job doesn't give him the right to  attack me with a racist remarks. He didn't fix my problem, over charged me and I had to use someone else so the problem is his plumbing skills and he quoted me 4,000ish to fix a sewer line which that wasn't the problem. I paid Andy's 145 and it's been working ever since for the last 3 years. He can't fix the plumbing don't attack me with racist remarks....oh check out tiptons google reviews because most of them said the same thing that he overcharges and doesn't do the job right. I wish I read it before I used him.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I wouldn't even consider this place a business. The owner was RACIST and RUDE. He charged us $600 for attempting to fix the tub. He couldn't even get it fixed. He said very racist remarks telling us to go back to Mexico without even knowing if we were U.S citizens or not. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone.

This company is TOTALLY ridiculoIus. I called them needing some lines capped and told them the reason I was calling was due to a bid that was too high from another plumber. They sent a tech out and quoted me a $450 quote to cap a few lines! Tech admitted it would be less than an hours work! But that we quote by the job!!! Quote came from the owner, not the tech, who was really great. It is just sad to me that people would use a time like this to try and take advantage of others. Many thumbs down.

Quick service and very polite guys.  Fixed everything quick.  Had several issues that plumbers before only fixed half way.  When his crew came out they checked everything and fixed al the problems.

This is the one of the more unprofessional businesses I've called in the OKC area.  He is condescending and rude, for a guy in his position, particularly.

These guys were amazing!!! Very honest, polite and professional. Their response time was quick too!!! They came in and did an amazing job and even worked with me on paying them. These guys really rock!!! I will be using them for every plumbing problem I have from now on!!!

We used Tiptons Plumbing for the first time this week.  They installed two toilets.  The two gentlemen who did the work were timely, speedy, professional and polite.  They cleaned up behind themselves.  We are very happy with the work performed and will most definitely use them again, and recommend them to others.

Last plumbing company in metro area you should call. Very rude on the phone. Failed to show on day promised. They came next day when I again called and then quoted me $760 for a simple job. Called another plumber who was out within 2 hours and his charge was only $175. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLUMBING COMPANY!

As sorry as I am to do this, I have to update my review.  Not about the service, but about the owner.  He has promised to do several things that he has not done.  He now will not even return my messages.  I hate this so much, because his guys are great.  Be very wary of statements or promises from Zach.

Terrible price! Changed the amount after the work was done. On the phone it was 45$ for service + parts to fix + 100/hr no minimum--- work took 15 minutes (25$) + 50 cents part according to rep + $45 service = 70.50$. He charged me 231$ because there's more to it than just parts. Total scam! Use someone else

Just moved to town last week and the home we purchased became clogged in all three bathrooms. Even tho it was a holiday they came out and cleared all of our lines. Explained why they clogged and told us we would probably need to replace the sewer line at some point. Super friendly and professional. Will be calling for all of our plumbing needs.

This place setup appointment but never show up and not even a phone call. Not a very smart way to treat customer(s).

Beware of this company.  They are very unprofessional.  I had a water leak.  I called and they came right out.  They told my wife the leak was behind the wall and it would cost $331.  I agreed.  After 20 minutes they were finished and didn't replace the drywall.  So I paid all that for 20 minutes of work and I have to replace the drywall myself.  I called Zack the owner for an explaination of charges.  He immediately started to verbally attack my over the phone.  Told me they gave me the estimate first.  I agreed but if I had known it was only a 20 min job I would have looked elsewhere.  Zack continued to berate me by saying this is the cost of doing business in 2018, everyone wants something for free.  When I told him I wasn't going to let him talk me this way his response was I'm a man like Mike Gundy.  Bottom line, he does not care about the customer after they are gone.  At no time did he try to explain anything just asked why am I calling.  I highly recommend reading the negatives reviews, they are real.  If there was a rating less than 1 star I would give it to Tipton Plumbing, they are the worst in customer service.  P.S. Zach, you never did send me the $47 dollar refund you promised.  But then again I never expected you to.

Just spreading the word. My opinion on him is BEWARE.

Just had Zach come by. He told me $65 for a service charge. Every company I called told us the service charge would roll into the service call. He shows up and tells us he can fix 1 small icemaker valve for $285. He does the work. We had to sit here waiting for him all day as he told us his truck was stocked but he ended up not having an icemaker hose. I ended up having to go get it. Then when he comes back and finishes much later today he tells me It is $350. $65 plus the $285. Really Zach? That is simply ridiculous and very immoral. You should state a total up front when you do an estimate. DO NOT TRUST THIS GUY. I am an IT guy and charge quite a bit per hour and this guy charges more than I do. He did a total of 20 or 25 minutes work and spent less than $40 in parts and made off with at least $300 for his small amount of time. I am more than peeved at him. I wish I had read some of his review's before calling him but we needed someone quick. It was NOT worth it.

Great Service!  So thankful they could come out and fix my issue.  Very professional and kind.  This is someone I would call to fix my Grandmother's house, very trustworthy.

I called with a hot water tank issue and they called and came when they said they would. They didn't try to sell extra parts to me.  They seem to be very honest. Robert was very pleasant. His work was clean and fast.

Please run, don't walk away from this company! Let me start by saying, this plumber does nothing illegal, maybe immoral, but not illegal. Know that if you are going to use him, he charges by the job and not by the hour. Per the words from the owner, Zach Tipton, he charges and allows for the fact he is a 24/7 plumber so he charges more. Charges more, yes sir! I have had two other estimates from plumbers for the job he did and they were $400 to less than $600. He charged $1285.00. This was for a simple leak in the pipe that ties into the city meter. The job took less than 6 hours. Its a pretty good system he has going. You call him, he comes out and gives you the invoice for the cost. Keep in mind, he has no clue at that time if it will take 30 min or 6 hours. If you don't agree to it, you have to pay him an $85 service call and he walks away. Pretty good for 15 min of work. The price seems very high, but as a person that doesnt know whats wrong, you agree because you have your water turned off and you don't have an idea of what someone else would charge at that time. You are in a vulnerable position and he knows it. And worse case for him, he takes your $85 and leaves for you to get someone else out to do the job! Is it illegal, nope but save yourself some money and call ANYONE else!
