Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Oklahoma City

I always call Mr. Rooter and ask for Terry. He is polite, professional, and I haven't needed him in awhile. However, in the past I've been very happy with the plumbing problems being fixed properly. Pricing is reasonable. Usually same day or next day appointments.
I'd recommend the company from my experiences.

Mr Rooter knocked down my side fence while we were out of town and drove a track backhoe across my front yard past the side of our house and took down our back fence to get to the neighbor behind us. Leaving a pile of dirt in our backyard and ripped up our grass front to back. When I confronted them they said it was easier than going around their customers yard and they didn't think anybody lived at our house because they didn't see a car and we didn't come to the door. No surprise they didn't fix the fence, the yard or haul off a huge mound of dirt. Also refused to reimburse our expenses. I will never use them or recommend them. Very unprofessional company!

Cannot recommend this company.  They came out to the house to clear a clogged discharge.  After they left, the line was still clogged and backing up into the house.  I requested they return to fix the issue and they wanted to charge me a second time, full price.  I am currently shopping for another plumber in the area that can clear my clogged discharge line and charge me only once.

Issue: Water back up in all three showers and the main bathroom toilet was also backed up. Sewage was coming up through the shower drain when you flush!!!

Solution: they snaked the plumbing from the outside. When the plumber did this, he learned that the problem was a clog caused by flushed tampons. Snaked it and Problem solved.

Their Expertise: He shared with me that my toilets could have better water flow if I poured solution into the tank to help break up mineral build up in the toilet. He shared valuable information about what I can do to save myself money in the future. Nice fellow.

My dear friend Jean Pennycuff turned me on to these guys, and I couldn't be more grateful to Jean for the referral.

I called at 8am and waited all day for them to call me back. At 4pm I decided to call again and they lied and said that they called me at 2pm and left me a message. I have zero missed calls and no messages. The person that picked up the 2nd call was audibly irritated and sighed loudly when I told him I had called earlier.

Mister Rooter came to my home today at short notice and quickly and courteously solved my problem with an affordable price! Look no further for amazing prices and great service!

Fantastic Service!  Right on time as scheduled. Wore a mask, too!  Had the sluggish toilet and sink fixed within minutes.  Also, put new mechanism in another toilet. The fellow worked fast and had everything done in less than an hour. I almost fainted when I got the Bill!  Unbelievably low!  I had budgeted far more for the job.   Will I use them again!  Definitely!

Their website says 24/7 emergency service.  I called about 6:20pm and no one answered. No one. No one at all. Tried a couple times.

Wes did an amazing job! He fixed the toileting issues within 30 mins. I highly recommend them if you ever have plumbing problems!

Above and beyond. Had a bad clog that flooded my downstairs bathroom. They were at my house within 2 hours and fixed the problem with no issue. The plumber stayed late after he was supposed to be off work and had plans to take his family to the state fair... he stayed and made sure that everything was perfect. Ended up paying about half of what I was expecting. Customer for life.

Absolutely excellent service. I had already paid several hundred dollars to another plumber for them to tell me the repair was going to cost a whole lot more, and required removal/demo of most of a bathroom and part of the slab.

Mr. Rooter came out in less than an hour after I called, and had the pipe clog removed and water running free and clear in less than 22 minutes. The individual was super professional, and even offered a 30 day guarantee for the service performed.

Bathroom still in tact, and so is the slab. 10/10 will use them again.

So far I'm underwhelmed. I've been waiting a week for a sewer repair. I'll give them 24 hrs and move on. Really?????

These guys are my new best go-to service for unclogging drains.

I live in a 1926 house that needs the old pipes unclogged about every 2 years. I've tried the other services and these guys got right to the point. Found the issue and were done right away.  Showed up on time too.

Didn't try to sell me extra services. That goes a long way in securing integrity and honesty in service.

Highly recommended.

Had a backed up toilet went with RR.   Ask how long it would take? She said and I quote Oh honey I'm  gonna send someone right now. I was like, yikes that's a first. I say he was there with an hour fixed my problem and it wasn't as as costly as I thought it would be. So  for RR.

Website says will be uniformed person. He wasn't.

Website says upfront pricing with no surprises. I was quoted a rate on the phone, but a $35 surprise was tacked on because he had to go on roof.

Guy that did the work offered to do it for less if I would call & cancel with the dispatcher & have him do the work on the side.

Guy that did the work also discussed some other sketchy activity while at my house. I don't think I have anything to worry about with him, but the experience left me rather certain I'm never calling this company again.

Great service and excellent response time. My Main septic line was blocked and we had sewage backing up into my Garage. They showed up fast and was able to resolve the issue in 20 minutes. I highly recommend this company and their amazing staff

After finishing major renovations to my home, I finally moved in but this odor kept coming from the house. I submitted an online request on Mr. Rooter's website for someone to come take a look. The next day, Mr. Rooter (David Duck) himself called me and listened to my problem. He suggested running water throughout the whole house, especially running water through the main bathtub that has not been used since I moved in. He wanted to be sure I run the water instead of having a plumber come out and charge me a fee.  The smell from the bathroom went away almost immediately, yet the smell from the laundry room persisted.

I called Mr. Rooter this time around and spoke with Mr. Rooter again. I told him about the smell coming from the laundry room and gave him a few more details such as a leak I noticed from the cellar wall. To make a long story short, a plumber came out and ran a snake through my main plumbing line to the city's sewer line. The plumber cleaned out the blockage and my water now flows just fine without any leaks into the cellar. The odor in the laundry room disappeared. I highly recommend Mr. Rooter for your plumbing issues. They are responsive and will schedule a plumber to come out when it is convenient for the homeowner. Their pricing is also reasonable!

This is my first and last time to use this company. The problem was never fixed, the service man was not knowledgeable, poor customer service, did not fix the tub issue AND did not say what the problem was. He said just to write it's not fixed on the ticket and he would let them know.  I still haven't received a call. If I could leave a 0 I would.

I had the spigot and pipe on the side of my house come undone on Sunday afternoon. I searched plumbers and finally chose Mr. Rooter. Their website says 24/7 plumbing service no extra charge. I just spoke to Fay who acted like I was bothering her. She told me she had no plumber on Sundays so it would have to be tomorrow. I said why does it say you do on your website and she said it was for sewer only. Beware of misleading info from these people. Hiding under a known brand name.

Yesterday afternoon Mr. Rooter came.
Actually, it was Graham with Mr. Rooter.
He was right on time and fixed our vanity sinks easily.
He wore shoe covers - red, the dogs loved them.
He cleaned up after himself and was a very nice man.
I will choose Mr. Rooter in the future for any plumbing needs we may have.

We had Mr Rooter out last weekend to fix a backup we couldn't locate. The technician was able to find the problem and resolve it. Our toilet was damaged in the process which was a total accident and not a huge deal because they replaced it for us. We weren't 100% pleased with the replacement and we were quickly contacted by the owner who sent two guys out right away to remedy the problem. I appreciate a business who stands behind their work and makes sure you are satisfied and I would recommend them if you have any plumbing needs.

They came out a week ago to snake the drain in my tub because it was draining slow and they found out that there is a cracked pipe and that it will have to be fixed and they will have to jackhammer my cement to fix it. That is just fine and I told him that I would contact them the next day to get it scheduled. I reached out Wednesday and they said it's a big job but may be able to come out Thursday or Friday since it's raining and they can move me up. I called Thursday and they said  the owner is gone for the day but they would put my number and information on his desk they will get back to me. The owner didn't get back to me on Friday morning so I called in the afternoon on Friday and the owner said that he would put my name on his desk and get back to me Monday(yesterday) after talking with the plumber to what needed to be done and that he would give me a call back and he never did so I will not be using them anymore and I guess they didn't want the money to fix my plumbing. I know the plumbers are busy but I just needed someone to at least schedule it and talk to me but I kept getting pushed off. The one star is for the plumber that came out because he was the nicest and very helpful with the questions I had.

Love Mr. Rooter! They were able to come the same day which was necessary since we only have one toilet and it was clogged.

After arriving, and assessing the problem, it was clearly communicated what needed to be done to fix the problem. I really appreciated the open communication and the quick work which ended with a fixed toilet in no time. A frustrating day was quickly solved thanks to Mr. Rooter.

Mr. Rooter did a great job on our water heater replacement and the pricing was very competitive.  Will definitely use them for future projects!

A Russell's Mr rooter is the best plumber in okc. They've saved me tons of money, and they are so smart and hardworking. They will not tell you to replace clay pipe with PVC to make a buck. They say that it's worked for centuries and it's easier to maintain & repair in sections where PVC is not. Clearing roots periodically is cheaper than an overhaul. They're coming out today and I have peace of mind that they'll do a great job, if you have a clog, call them.

For comparison's sake: A few years back, I paid some other plumber over $500 to fix my plumbing and they had 2 guys come out, got on the roof, took out my toilet and charged me for all of it. In the end the bad guys told me to replace my existing plumbing and I was told just don't use that toilet. Because I didn't have a clean out.

I called A-Russells mr rooter, they got everything working properly gave me an education, it was less than 200. They said a lot of plumbers just don't want to dig a hole. Those other plumbers were fat and lazy. I had to share because they're so great.  They didn't take my toilet out or get on my roof.  It was one guy with a rooter.  

I called them a couple weeks ago as SOON as my toilet clogged.  The lady said hesitantly Well, it's $89 just for them to come out. Insinuating that I try something on my own to save some money.  I got the message and I said Ok, maybe I could just get a plunger and try that first  She laughed and was super sweet.  Well I tried the plunger and a lego popped up.  I continued to diligently plunge for 2 weeks and it's still not getting any better, so I called them again today.  That initial phone call was awesome and verified my confidence in them that they really want to fix problems and help people with real plumbing issues.  I've never known a company so honest.

I can't emphasize enough how good they are.  Personable, friendly, dedicated and professional.

the new wife was not as impressed with the clogged toilet as I was.  Before she arrived, I had tried rooting the line myself w 25' hand drill powered unit w minimal joy.  Called Mr. Rooter to see if I could get same day service - had a crew within 2 hours of call-out (only 15 min later than promised) rooted out 35' and broke up a solid mass of roots and gunk my dinky unit wouldn't have budged had I actually reached it.  The drain in this house probably hadn't worked this well since 1970.  Thanks guys.

My review has been **UPDATED** because they have visited my home twice! (both for same situation) check out both visits for updated info.

As a newish homeowner, I know jack crap about plumbing. When our sewer line clogged an in-law in the city mentioned Mr. Rooter to us to get it fixed. I called them at around 7AM and they said someone would be out between 8:30 and 10AM.

Visit #1
Gonna be honest...no one showed up until right at 10AM and I was kinda impatient about that. A younger gentleman named Justin showed up, and he was apologetic and explained they were quite busy/backlogged. He asked me about the lines/locations/clog issues and I showed him the problems, and something on the house we were confused about (but wasn't exactly the problem he was there to fix, just something else that had been confusing me and I thought wasn't right because of the way the water was behaving)- the 2nd issue he was able to fix for an additional $50 on our total bill, and very quickly!! (It was about $200 for everything)

He showed me the current and potential future problems with our pipes and did not try to upsell or push additional services on us, just answered my questions when asked- which was great. And he worked quickly on all of it, faster than I expected, and gave me some info on how often I might need maintenance and some tips to keep drains cleaner/cut down on future need for them to come out.

They were less expensive than my family member (who recommended them) said they would be (we have a smaller house) which was nice. I feel less intimidated about hiring a plumber for stuff in general now.  

(oh yeah I don't have any pics because I only have pics of the crap they pulled out of the pipes, and no one on Yelp wants to see those!)

Visit #2

Water started coming up from the pipe connected to the washing machine and the kitchen sink would not drain (prior to visit #1 this was all working fine). I called them again and they said they had a 30-day guarantee on service and would come back out. Turns out they did not get all of the tree roots and had to go an additional 15 feet in. The same person (Justin) came out, and was a little annoyed (maybe he was having a bad day?) but was more vocal about this. I know they have to pay for their own tools and pass exams to get licensing so I tried to chat with him about being skilled in a service everyone will need at some point and he then said he hated doing this and did not want to do it anymore. I apologized for bringing it up.

Things began to drain again, but ultimately after getting a second opinion, the cleanout pipe needed replacing. When I called Mr Rooter again, they said that, unlike their website claims, they do NOT have 24-hour service or emergency service they are just a local franchise and none of those statements apply to them. We ended up going with someone else to replace the pipe (yay it all works now!) because they did not attempt to offer any services on this matter, and all in all the receptionist/dispatch staff never quoted accurate times or was very helpful. The person servicing us did a fine job, just not thorough the first time out but seems like it was complete at first.

So all in all, had to use them and glad I did to get plumbing repairs started. But ultimately did not finish repairs with them. Guy that came out was nice and polite, but also honest and seemed like he was not happy with having to come out a second time. Phone staff is not nice, they probably have to deal with a lot of upset people, but that should not make them any more gruff in a service job.

All my decline in stars on this rating are because the website says available 24/7 but in fact that is only someone answering the phone and scheduling for the next day when one will be in a long queue of others waiting, because they are not in fact available 24/7.

There's even a page on the local website that is titled emergency plumbing services and reads When you need an experienced plumber in a hurry, call on Mr. Rooter Plumbing. We're in the neighborhood, available 24/7/365 and we never charge for overtime.  ...

but this is just not true. The receptionist at the local phone number told me this verbatim.

As of now we have used them three times... They have been quick and efficient and best of all inexpensive.  Today we had Bobby out and he did a great job especially in the weather conditions.  I will always call them

You can't go wrong with Mr. Rooter. Their plumbers do a good job at a fair price. I've used them many times, and I've always been satisfied with their work.

David @ Mr. Rooter really helped us out this week. His quick response to my call enabled us to move my 84 year old father (Alzheimer's patient) back into his home. We had to take dad to a hotel overnight because his sewer pipe broke. Thankfully, there was no backup in the house, but the bathrooms were unusable. The different surroundings were very traumatic for dad so it was imperative to resolve this quickly. I called multiple plumbers after hours - many did not respond or didn't have digging equipment to work on sewer pipes. David sent his guys out the next day at 12:30 & by 4:30 the problem was diagnosed & repaired. Price was reasonable. The guys were professional & efficient. Also, the lady who answers the phone was very kind and sympathetic to the problem. Thanks to David & the Mr. Rooter team!

I have used these guys on more that one occasion. They have always been professional and courteous. The always come out within a reasonable amount of time and work quickly. This last time the guy sat down and gave me some tips on fixing minor problems myself. He even took a minute to throw the ball for my dog a couple if times. And I have never felt like they were taking me too the cleaners on what they charge. I will continue to call on these guys when needed.

Called to get two drains unclogged. They could not come until next day. Plumber arrived on time.  He did a nice job at a reasonable price.

Mr rooter is the worst plumber ive ever used. I have 10 rental properties and have used multiple plumbers over the course of 15 years. They came out without calling my renters, left human feces on the yard (told me thats my job to clean it and not theirs) and didnt finish the job. They had to come back the next day to finish it right, after i called and complained. Then to top all of that off charged me $324.00 for a $115 quote. DO NOT CALL this plumber to have your drain unclogged, They are terribly unprofessional and do not care about customer service.
