Hi-tech did a great job quickly responding to my inquiry. Prior to any work, they provided three detail estimates and the pros/cons of each. During the repair, they kept me updated each step of the way. They were very efficient and had great customer service. Prior to tech arrival, they sent a detailed notification of his timeline to arrival and short bio so I knew who to expect. The work was completed accurately the first time. I highly recommend and will not hesitate to use again!

NO RATING These charlatans showed up found leak but didn't know how to fix it, but I still had to pay them $250 just to show up and throw up . Then I had to call another plumber to make repairs and could have found the leak for same repair price. Hi tech plumbing is horrible , and their commercials on sport radio and local tv are all lies.
F-RATING

Left our property in a mess, leaving the job unfinished after their equipment broke twice (flat tire and a mechanical failure). Left broken equipment in our yard for several days, forcing us to push back a construction project after more than a week of delays on their part. HiTech also left without turning our gas back on, leaving us without natural gas in our home. Complete unprofessionalism on behalf of the management. Shocking and disappointing considering we have used them for years.

Last summer, I had a large crack and roots growing into the main drain line under my house. All other plumbers were saying we'd have to tear up the foundation in my living room to repair the issue. After some searching, I found Hi-Tech Plumbing and their advertising of pipe lining. They came out and evaluated the line and said they'd be able to repair it without any penetration into the foundation. It was an expensive job, but in the long run not having to deal with the aftermath of jack hammering and digging, it was worth it. We did have a slight issue with the pipe lining not fully opening at one end causing the repair to take an extra day, but I attribute that to a bit of inexperience by one of the drain techs, and the supervisor was able to get it working no big deal. I very much appreciate their hard work in getting me all fixed up. Will use them again should it be needed for sure!

I am not sure why only the bad reviews are being shown. I used them in a pinch and they were super helpful. I heard they are under new ownership so maybe that is part of it. Trenton came out and found a leak that two other companies missed. This will def be my go to plumbing company!!

Their customer service is horrendous.  I was literally hung up on by the receptionist in the middle of describing the job to them.  I guess if they don't want the work, they just hang up the phone.

Initially I was displeased however Hi-Tech made it right.  They came back out to resolve the issue and educated me on my plumbing issues so I now understand.

Very disappointed with this business. The plumber was very nice and was here 2-2.5 hours. He installed a faucet on the kitchen sink (provided by us), installed a garbage disposer (provided by us) and reconnected the dishwasher. The bill was $845. That equates to over $400/hour. His work was good but this company charges way too much!  BEWARE!

Last year I had a slab leak. I called and they sent out a plumber with this hi tech equipment and found it for me in my hall bath. The gentle man was very nice and polite and did a great job. The guys who can me and repair it also did a great job and very respectful. When they cut into the wall behind the tub (hall closet) they found a problem that I was told by my builder 38 yrs ago that was fixed before the house was Sheet rocked. NOPE. My builder lied to me. The problem was that my tub drain was not hooked up but empted into a hole in the slab. Lucky I never used it that much over the years. Since I also had the tub faucet set leaking I had them replace it. Due to all the covid and I not wanting to go out shopping, the guy working on that found exactly what I wanted for me and then installed it. My plumbing problems were a bit more complex then just a simple slab leak. Sure it cost me more then expected but it was not their fault. I goes back to issues with my house. I was and am very happy with their service and all things considered for what had to be done, I feel the price was reasonable for the amount of work that was involved. I highly recommend them. You might find cheaper but I think you get what you pay for. My job was not easy and not a company that did not have top plumbers.

Terrible customer service.  I called them because I used them in the past.  Basically I had a slab leak which I turned into my insurance company.  (I've been in the industry for 25 years).   I authorized the leak detection but told them it was an insurance claim.  Without authorizing payment they took $3800 from my checking account and didn't notify me.

When I called they told me it was my fault for not telling them it was an insurance claim. (I did that several times throughout the process).

I hired this company to come fix a toilet that was having issues flushing - after paying $244 my toilet still had issues, so I called and emailed telling them the toilet was not fixed. they sent a new tech out who told me their were more parts that needed to be repaired and I would have to pay for additional repairs. I told him to not do anything additional - and called and asked to speak to a manager saying this is BS on the phone-- I received and email from their president saying I used abusive language and could no longer speak to his staff or anyone over the phone and I didn't deserve a refund.
I told him the toilet was not fixed and I was charged for the toilet to need additional repairs, as they repaired a part breaking another in way.

I was told I will not be getting a refund after their tech told me my toilet wasn't fixed correctly and he was unsure if they did additional damage and they never looked at all parts to see what needed to be repaired.

I see on all other poor review the president lets the customer know why they are wrong-- so beware before paying the company because you'll have to hire a new company after you pay them

We called to have high tech evaluate our kitchen sink & bathroom sink after listening to the Sports Animal overwhelmingly endorse & advertise their services.  Bottom-line, $139 service call & both items still require repair.  What happened to the Sports Animal Discount...I spoke to the Manager JR & received further disappointment & frustration!  Unbelievable!!!

These guys saved my business. I own a commercial building near downtown and have a long-time tenant. Recently, the sewer line collapsed under the railroad line behind the building. After contacting Hi-Tech Plumbing, JR immediately began making calls on my behalf to the city and the railroad. He worked tirelessly for weeks trying to get an authorization from the railroad to replace the line under the tracks. After many unsuccessful attempts and much more research, he found another line nearby that we could tap into. His very professional crew replaced the line and put us back in business. I can't thank them enough for staying with me on this project. Anyone else would have given up long ago.

Buyers beware!!

The technician broke the tub skirt when gaining to access my pipes.  To his credit, he was very apologetic, took pics and told me he was very sorry, and someone from their office would be contacting me to discuss it.  I ended up having to call them after 4 days as no one had reached out to me.  I was told by JR in their customer service department that this was on me, and they would not be doing anything to fix it.  He told me the access to my tub was not up to code, and anyone with common sense should realize they could not be held accountable for that.  He then went on to explain to me that I signed a contract before the work began protecting them from liability if they broke anything.  I told JR that if this was how they were going to act, then I would be sure and let everyone know what terrible customer service they have.  JR worked every way possible he could  to keep from having to pay for it.  He then offered me $100 to make it right.  The broken tub skirt is around $450 to replace, and then add the $300 service fee (nothing was fixed, just diagnosed) and I'm out roughly $800 for doing business with High tech plumbing and leak detect.  So I told him he can keep his $100, and I'll try and keep someone else from ending up in the same situation.

I hear about them on the radio.  They say they specialize in leak detection. I have had an issue with water getting under my kitchen sink and the wood flooring is starting to buckle due to water. I had it looked at about a year ago and they said they had to replace a gasket. Seemed to go away and then, look like it starting happening again. I always wondered if there was a leak somewhere. So who better to call right. I set up an appointment they explained to do a leak detect it would take 2 hours at $300. I asked if it took longer what would happen, they said $150 for an additional hour. Makes sense, seems kind of high, but I really want to get this resolved so I agreed. They showed up on time and the plumber started to evaluate my situation. Here's where it goes south. He says, I want to make sure I check everything before I do a leak detect, that way if I can I can save you some money. He starts checking some things, has long conversations with me and stops working to do so, uses an infrared camera shows me where there aren't really any hot or cold spots that would show a leak. Says, you are missing some silicone caulk under the granite where the sink meets it and that could be it. He then goes to his van for about 30 minutes. I actually asked my wife if she saw him on her way in, she was coming home from work. He finally comes back in the house and gives me the bill. Guess how much? $300!  So why didn't he do the leak detect? He said to save me money but it cost the exact same. So only thing I can guess is that he milked it to stay about 2 hours than shanked me for $300. Told me a bunch of things I should do to get some things fixed, your the plumber, why didn't you fix them?  $300 I could've gotten a lot of stuff done that you suggested I do. Bottom line, he didn't fix or repair anything. Stayed for 2 hours and charged me $300 for his advice. Never again, you are B-F-L!  (Banned for life). I cannot compete with the radio but if anyone asks my opinion on plumbers. Trust me, your name will not come up unless they ask about you and I tell them NO!

I called to schedule an appointment for leak detection. This is the first time that I use this company. The impression during the call was that the cost would be $300 to find leak and it might take 2 hours to find the leak. There was no information given when I called of the additional cost when the time run over 2hrs, nor did the reception gave the possibility of not finding the leak.
The technician arrived on time. The test lasted longer than I expected with no finding of the leak source. I called the office twice to voice my concern. I was hang up by the reception the first call. Then I finally spoke to JR. I assumed that he is either the office manager or the owner. I voiced my concern of not receiving information promptly when making appointment. He then used a condensending tone and said that now I told you, so you know now. He gave me some some explanation with serval technical terms that only a plumber would understand. I then voivced my dissatisfaction of customer service. He then interrupted me and said the choice was mine to terminate the service at any time and that the company is there to provide good care to the customers. I am not sure if he understands what it meant by good costumer service. The basic of customer service is customer centered. He may feel like he is taking care of his customers. If the customers do not feel that their needs being met, then that's not customer service.
This the the first time that I called and used this company. Anyone would think that the office personnel would try to establish the rapport between the new customer and the company. Instead of doing so, the office personnel threatened me with terminating the job in the middle of testing. And the worst scenario is that the tenichcian didn't find the leak source. I am not sure if I should place my trust with this company in continuing this project or I should just cut the lost and find another reputable company??

We had an unexpected (aren't they all?) water heater issue occur this past Monday (2/27/17). The first plumber we called determined it was most likely a slab leak but said he could not assess where it was. He recommended this company that has the equipment to do so. Called Hi-Tech and they arranged for a serviceman to come by on 2/28. He was able to determine the leak's location, that it involved the hot water line, and advise on options for repair, which were:

1. Break through the foundation above the leak and do a patch on the faulty pipe.
2. Replace the entire pipe line with the leak from the water heater to the fixture involved.
3. Do a complete pipe replacement for all lines in the house.

The tech was very thorough in explaining the pros, cons and cost of each option. We chose to go with having the one leaking line completely replaced. The tech set up the appointment for the next day (3/1) and said a different repairman would come out to complete the work, which was expected to take most of the day.  The cost for the leak detection service was $300, and the cost for the water line replacement would be $1200, which was actually a less expensive option that doing a patch that would involve breaking up the flooring.

On 3/1, the new tech inspected the situation and referred to notes from the previous tech to assess what he would need to do. The process involved cutting out a fair sized piece of drywall to access the line needing replacement. We were aware that this could be the case (keep in mind that fixing any drywall or flooring is the responsibility of the homeowner -- the company does not fix that for you -- this is pretty typical of plumbing repairs involving pipes behind walls or under floors). He then proceeded to make the original copper pipe line inoperable and affix new flexible piping to bypass the old line. The new line was routed to the water heater through the attic. Upon completion, the tech then tested all the sinks, tubs and toilets in both bathrooms and the kitchen to ensure they were all working properly.

Overall, the experience was very good and we appreciated the hard work and professionalism exhibited by both service techs. The only complaint would be that the installation tech should have protected the carpeting in the area he was working by placing down a waterproof drop cloth of some sort to create a place to lay his tools and prevent water from soaking into the carpet, which happened at some point during the repair process from pipe overflow as he worked on cutting off the old line and installing the new one. The carpet was really wet in that one area and is still not dry today (3/2). Overall, that was minor, though and we are happy with the repair. Though it may seem a bit expensive, research indicates that most water line replacement services for slab leaks are not far off from what Hi-Tech charges. We would call Hi-Tech again to repair or replace other water lines if necessary.

One of the worst companies I have worked with. The owner is rude and the customer service is horrible. Extremely over priced.

We have had a leak for years and plumbers have rotorootered it several times and were told it was a pipe problem under the slab. The last plumber recommended Hi Tech as they have the equipment to find the blockage / leak. Trenton came and ran the snake until he hit the blockage and then put the camera in to see the rusted out pipe. Cost was $300. For the service call. We contracted for them to repair it. Daniel and Jase came and gave a clear and professional briefing on what would be done and included that we were in charge of the process. They set up the area with plastic to protect / prevent impact on the rest of the house. The 1974 galvanized pipe had rusted through. They very carefully jackhammered the slab and dug out the pipe to determine the extent of damage. The estimate was 10 feet but it actually was 15 feet which we could clearly see. It also was under two walls and into the bathroom. They tunneled under the walls to minimize damage. We were shown everything as it progressed. Repair was estimated for three days but they finished in two. Follow up included another camera to insure the problem was gone. Daniel was very professional and gave us some great advise on our other problem. I'm 68 years old and have had a lot of service work done and would say this is as good as it gets. I would highly recommend them.
