I did not care for the young man's attitude who came out to fix my leaky outdoor spigot and to attach the utility tub to the basement floor.  He said my basement floor was uneven therefore the utility tub could not be attached to the concrete floor.  He recommended that I put a piece of wood or something down to steady it.  I asked if he had something in his big white truck that he could use to make the floor even.  He replied no.  I found that very odd because good plumbers are able to do amazing things. When he got to the leaky outdoor spigot, he told me I had old pipes that needed replacing and it would cost me about 750 dollars to do the job the right way.  However, if he attempted to just replace the spigot alone and something went wrong while he worked on the spigot, his company would not be liable but I would still owe about  400 dollars.  I told him I wasn't expecting to pay that amount.  He insulted my intelligence by saying that anytime I call a professional out, I should expect to pay a large amount of money. This sounds like bad business to me.  For his information, I have always had professionals to work on my home .  I do not allow just any jack legged person to work for me. I have lived in my home for thirty years and I trust the people I allow to work in and outside my home.   I will not be calling your company anymore and by the way teach that young man some manners.

Previously wrote a four star review of this business, it's owner Matthew, & the service I received in June 2017 for a simple, emergency toilet repair which was performed on a weekday morning during regular business hours. If I could delete that review,  I would since it still seems to benefit his overall rating. All went well but the $150.00 price tag was extremely high, given I live less than a mile & a half from this business & the cost of all the parts used in the repair is literally $10.90 as sold by Home Depot, Lowe's, & Amazon, & given that the actual repair itself took less than 30 minutes to perform.  Was told prior to their coming that there'd be no travel/service fee that would jack up the price. Hence the four stars & not five because of the exorbitant price. Yet, I was willing to give 4 stars because I wanted to be fair & had no way of knowing at the time if any other plumbing company would have charged any less.  

Cut to September 2017,  3 months later...  Still relatively new to Ohio & not having a list of go-to experts, I phoned this company again to get an estimate for installation only of a whole house water filter/softener since I would be purchasing the system itself directly from its manufacturer.  Again, spoke with Matthew the owner.  Told him in detail exactly what system I would be purchasing & what, according to manufacturer's step-by-step instructions, the installation would entail.  He was very friendly, & over the phone he quoted me an install price of $500.00. He said to go ahead & purchase the expensive filter/softener system & just call back once it had arrived to schedule the installation.  

A few weeks later on Friday, September 29, 2017, wanting to leave nothing to chance, I phoned Matthew the owner back to tell him that, based on his installation quote, I had ordered the system & wanted to schedule the install with him since the system was now on its way. I reminded him of our very long, previous conversation (it had lasted well over an hour) & the $500.00 install price he had quoted me, which at the time I assumed he had at least written down in a note under my account with him. This time he was rather unfriendly, acted like he had no recollection of our very long prior conversation, & began to back off of the $500.00 price he had previously quoted me.  I was still trying to give him the benefit of the doubt, & still wanted to make this work, so, after much back & forth, we finally agreed that he would send someone to my home to give me a proper, accurate, in-person, estimate the following Monday, 10/02/17 - something I would have gladly welcomed the first time I phoned him for pricing but he never offered it - he simply quoted me the $500.00 fee.  

It was Matthew who suggested 10/02 for the in-person estimate & I agreed. He then attempted to hang up without telling me the time of our appointment, so I stopped him & specifically asked him exactly what time I should expect his plumber on 10/02, since, as I plainly told him, I didn't want to waste an entire day sitting around waiting for his man to arrive. Matthew told me his man would be at my home at 10:30 a. m. & that he would call when he was on his way. It is now 5:15 p.m. and no one has shown up at my home for the appointment and no one has even bothered to call. I have now wasted an entire day off of work for no good reason. I phoned his number throughout the day, but no one answers the phone.

First this guy lies & gives me a fake price over the phone that he is unwilling to stand behind, then he schedules an appointment with me & not only fails to show up, but he can't even be bothered to respect my time enough to phone me to tell me that no one is coming as scheduled.    
BOTTOM LINE:  Not only are his prices exorbitant, but this guy is totally unprofessional, unreliable, & untrustworthy. You can definitely find a better company to hire.  ...I wish I could charge him for my wasted day just like he overcharged me for my toilet repair.  AND, what was the purpose of quoting me a price over the phone, if he wasn't willing to stand by it???!  I'm now stuck with a very expensive purchase of a water filter/softener system & am left hanging to find another plumber to install it. I NEVER would have spent $1,600. 00  to purchase a system without first knowing the true cost of installation, or having someone lined up to install it. I am livid that he perpetuated his initial pricing scam by setting up a subsequent appointment with me & then never showed up, wasting an entire vacation day of my time for no good reason. This whole charade, from my very first call to him about the filter, is 100% DISGUSTING & INEXCUSABLE.   What valid excuse could he possibly have for any of this????  Clearly, he figured once I'd already bought the system, that I'd be stuck, & he could then charge me whatever he wanted to install it.

Spoke with Matthew, (the owner) who told me up from that there was an $85 service charge. Normally, I wouldn't even hire someone who charges a service charge but the water lines were frozen . Most of the time, when you have a company do the work, they either lessen the charge or deduct the \service charge from the invoice because they got the job. He sent two men (who were professional) to replace two 18 cpvc pipes which were frozen. It was a very simple job.They didn't have to cut through walls, floors or do any additional prep work. The pipes were in plain sight in the basement. They were here approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes (actually an hour because they ran outside to their van three times to get tools). He charged me $305 and didn't want to come down on the price. He told me on the phone (prior to them coming here) he would be very reasonable. I was willing to pay and additional $100 (total $185) which is still excessive for an hours with of work. He preys on people who have an emergency and he is not a person of his word (charging excessively for the service). Please boycott his company because he is a dishonest, uncaring and unreasonable business person.

He also advertises as fix it fast for plumbing/plumber services on Craigslist. Just in case the number or company name is not listed in the ad show contact info Please do not use his service. Consumers have to stick together to stop greedy, selfish business people.

Please stay far away...The owner Matt admits he's just a referral service and the guy he sent he swore by...Steve Adams....he took a $2,100 deposit and disappeared....We'll be filing small claims court action against both of them.
