I hired Bach Electric Co to wire and install the electric for a new hot tub on February 14, 2023.  They were very informative and explained  the process in great detail to us.  The pricing was fair for the work completed, however, the job has not been completed.  I thought I could trust their integrity to complete the job as described and promised.

The initial electric was installed and the hot tub was functional on the 14th of February, but time did not allow them to complete the work by burying the line and securing it safely to the foundation along the house.  Multiple text messages or phone calls were received over the following month with promises to return and complete the work.  Unfortunately, no one has showed up to complete the work and the follow up has ceased.

Thankfully, we held back part of the total payment to ensure the work was completed.

I would encourage you to require  100% of the work be completed on the first visit or hold back payment until it is complete.  I wish I could recommend Bach Electric with a 5 star rating, but the exposed, 220V electric line laying in my flower bed for over 6 weeks prevents me from doing so.

As mentioned in all the other reviews, Jim's lack of communication was unprofessional. I waited weeks for a quote that was promised. I had to reschedule my hot tub delivery and couldn't get my concrete poured because I wasted 3 weeks for Jim, he finally told me he didn't have time to do the job. He could've told me that weeks ago, considering I followed up with him numerous of times. I don't know why Scioto even recommend him. Please do yourself a favor and find a reputable company, because Bach Electric and Jim are TRASH.

Sorry to leave a negative review. I'd like to give someone the benefit of the doubt, but similar to each review below,  he kept scheduling to come, but would not show. Then after no response, would schedule again, and not show. Finally, never heard from him again and had to contact another company after waiting weeks.

The first time we hired Jim, he was recommended by the company where we purchased our hot tub. He was prompt, courteous, and showed up on time. The price was high, but fair for the work involved.

Then, not quite a year later, we had a concrete pad poured and hired the company where we purchased our hot tub to come move it off our deck and onto the new pad. Once again, we hired Jim to unhook the tub and hook it back up once the tub was moved.

He unhooked the tub in less than ten minutes, and shortly thereafter, the hot tub movers moved the tub.

And Jim never came back. The wires were capped, which is good I guess, but the wiring was left laying on my deck.

It took several texts to get him to respond before he said he would be back out that afternoon to hook it back up. I took four hours off of work, and he never showed.

More texts. He promised he'd come the next morning. No call, no show, no text. Finally he said he'd come that evening after I returned from work.

Never showed. Two more days passed with no contact. Finally, he texted and told me to find someone else.

So I did. I suggest you should too.

Had this company out to install a hot tub because they were referred by All Season Spas, where the initial install work was completed, but after their install the breaker kept tripping repeatedly, sometimes 4 times in one day. I called back Jim, the owner, to notify him of the issue, I also let him know it was difficult to keep the tub water balanced when it does not stay on for sanitizer and filter to do their jobs, and he had me send a text with all my info to schedule someone to come out and check out the installed breaker, because it may be bad. So I sent a descriptive text with my contact info and address on 6/21... No contact back.. I then sent a follow up text on 6/24, with no response. I started trying to call him and he never picked up, until I called from a different number. He apologized and said he was very busy due to the 4th of July holiday and said they would be out Sunday July 3rd.. No one showed up.. So I am assuming I will need to figure this out myself, since I let a crappy referred electrician do a job they could not finish completely.. Beware and choose a more quality contractor that will make sure the job is done correctly and not dodge you when you call them back to correct something that should have been initially taken care of... I was actually trying to schedule some other electrical work, when they came out to install the hot tub, and the guy that came out told me he could do the work on the side cheaper than through the company, and I told him which ever, I just need it done. He set up to come out that Sunday, and never showed. Should have been the first clue.. Again, Beware...

Wanted electric done for my hot tub. And like the reviewer below I was referred by All seasons.  I called Jim and had several conversations and he stated that when my tub was scheduled to be deliver to call and let him know and he would come out for the install. I wanted him to come to my residence to verify the work and give me  a written estimate of the job to be done and he kept making excuses. When I called him to schedule a time he would say they were busy with emergencies and told me he would come on another day and to text him my information in which i did with no response. A week had come and gone and I hadn't received as much as a callback. After 3 times of trying to set something up I just gave up. My guess, because the breaker was already done from previous hot tub and all he had to do was hook up some wires there was no money in the job so he decided to just ignore me. This is not a good way to establish a business relationship with a customer and shows I wasn't the only one essentially stood up by this company..

Jim came recommended from Scioto Valley. He was very timely on doing the hook up, but part of the agreement was for him to get a electrical permit. When I brought up getting the permit he said technically you do need a permit, but we don't have to. he said he does lots of hot tub installs and doesn't get permits. I asked him to get the permit. Three month later still no permit, he hasn't even filed for the permit. I checked with the city. Avoid this contractor.
