ABOUT BUSINESS OWNER
AK Irrigation was formed in 2006 by Aaron Knepp, who had 15 years of experience servicing and installing lawn irrigation systems, and Lee Hanson Knepp, who had nearly 10 years of experience in customer service and marketing.
Not yet married, but already anticipating a future together, we pooled our resources and formed a company. We dreamed big, but started small. Lee handled the paperwork (the office was the kitchen counter), and Aaron ran service in the now familiar black pick-up.

Aaron was excellent to work with. He is very knowledgeable about his field; but easy to understand when he describes what needs to be done.

I would have given zero stars if I could. Very disappointed in a company we have used for the seven years we have owned the home. Their technician arrived today to summarize our system. The first step was turning on the water. Ours is located in a utility closet off the laundry room as we have no basement. The technician could not locate the turn on and kept saying she found most turn on valves in the basement. We have no basement.
After a few minutes I suggested we reschedule if she was not confident about she needed to do. The technician was promptly out of the house and did not acknowledge me calling after her to ask if there was anything I needed to do.
I called the office and received no sympathy or apology for the problem. They need a course in customer service. The earliest they had was 18 days away. Both the owner and individual I spoke with first had no interest in trying to work me in sooner. The owner came across to me as irritated by my call. On top of all this they sent me a bill almost immediately after the technician left. They have also sent me a reminder, but say they have canceled the bill. They were great as AK Irrigation.

I deleted the review posted 7-11 critical of the service I rec'd on June 1. Aaron K, the owner, sent Chris to correct the problem and I am more than pleased with Chris professionalism and patience in explaining why the previous tech turned my system off at the summer start up and did not tell me. Look forward to working with Chris in the future for the winterization.

My husband and I can't believe the HUGE difference Skeeter Guy made on the mosquito population that plagued our yard. We'd get eaten alive so we'd have to use a lot of Off spray and then we'd stink and feel yucky having those chemicals on our skin. It was also a bummer having guests over and them having to spray themselves. Off has ruined clothes, shoes, fitness tracker bands, our grass, etc. After Skeeter Guy we don't have to use Off anymore, it's amazing.
Their customer service is AWESOME! They reply to emails in a timely manner. And payment can be done online which makes it super easy. More people should utilize their services so we can keep the mosquito population in our neighborhoods under control!

We had an issue with our new system installation from last fall and AK Irrigation / Conserva came out this spring to make it right and do the spring turn on service as well. I am very happy with the professional and friendly nature of the service tech. He was very knowledgeable and courteous with my questions and did a fantastic job assuring the system was operating as it should before he left. There was no pressure for add-on services or charges. Any deficiencies he found, whether caused by them (really just the one from last year) or by changes made to our lawn and landscaping, all were corrected without question or hesitation. I highly recommend the team from Conserva/AK Irrigation.

These folks do a great job, are reasonably priced, show up on time and communicate effectively. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
I've been using AK Irrigation for 6+ years on multiple properties I own; I won't be using them again. We did set an appointment for system upgrade and expansion in advance for opening they have, which was a middle of the day. Owner never showed up for our appointment nor did he have the decency to call and let me know. I wasn't even told he wasn't coming until I called an hour into my scheduled appointment. Lost half of my work day! I've requested a call back from the owner with no success and although. This is not how you treat customers! After ownership changed it is going down pretty quick. Will recommend think twice before use them!

This company is horrible and has left me feeling conned. Last year I pre-purchased the 'Gold Package' service plan which included a spring opening, a fall winterization, and one lawn aeration. During the spring opening the technician opened the system and flagged 8 sprinklerheads that needed replacing. Luckily, I decided to run the system myself before committing to have the work done and the 8 'broken' heads still worked.
The winterization was a complete mess and was incorrectly done by their employees. Below are the problems they caused.
1) When clearing the water out of the pipes, the employee was in a hurry, turned the air pressure way too high and popped off a sprinkler head.
2) The water was not cleared out of the metal pipe leading from the basement to the exterior of the house causing the pipes to freeze and burst over the winter.
I had a separate irrigation company look at the system and they agree these were due to their employee's errors and should be common sense for anyone working at an irrigation company.
In addition, AK is very disorganized. They no showed twice to winterize the system after confirming both appointment times through email. Each time I had to take a half day vacation to be home during the 4 hour window. I also had to call/email 3-4 times to have my yard aerated, each time they said their system showed it was already completed.
These errors have cost me hundreds of dollars to fix/replace. I've called and tried contacting AK through their site trying to recoup some of the cost and have not gotten a response.
Have been using AK for 4 years now and have nothing bad to say. They remind me when it's time for service and set up appointments automatically when needed, they're fast and always get things done correctly, polite and priced appropriately.
Extremely happy I went with AK Irrigation. Called them with a very tight timeline and they delivered. They somehow managed to coordinate with the builder and sod company to make sure they installed after final grade yet before sod was laid. Responded promptly to all my inquiries, and always polite. Nice to see because good customer service is lost in today's world. Highly recommend this company.
