W H Hobbs

Only a couple of months ago we had finally completed a sewer backup situation from last summer with RotorRooter's horrible restoration people (see review), so when we found a water leak in our front yard we were very skeptical. The water department said it was our issue. I called a friend who recommended Hobbs. Brandon came out immediately, said they would have an estimate by 5:00 the next day, and ACTUALLY DID! We accepted their proposal and we were scheduled. Jack showed up right on time and his crew was extremely thorough and took care to do as little damage as possible to our landscaping. There were no change orders. The proposal was what they charged. They text messaged updates from the moment I first called. I could not ask for more. They will ALWAYS be our go-to company from now on for sure. Can't say enough good about them!

Called to schedule an appointment for a new bathtub install on Monday. I spoke with a very nice woman who was able to schedule me for an estimate the next day (Tuesday). I received an email confirmation for the appointment.

Tuesday came and went. Nobody showed up and nobody called. I wasted my time sitting at home waiting for them.

I would never give business to a company who does that to people.  I'll find another plumber.

We called out Hobbs as our washing machine was not draining out. They determined we needed to run new piping to connect into our septic. They left my house told me they would get back to with quote next day. We never heard from them. My husband then called them 3 times finally we were given a quote of 1800 dollars and could come the following week to do job. This seemed very high to us so my husband called back to have them e mail details of how they came up with this price. We were told they didn't have that but would try and get it to us. Never heard back. We then decided to get another estimate Thankfully we did! 574.00 is what we ended up paying versus 1800! Buyers beware!

They were called because my 97 year old grandmother's kitchen sink was had a broken disposal. THe charge was $728.74!! I thought they took advantage of her. I called other plumbers and showed them the bill everyone was in complete agreement that she was extremely overcharged. After waiting over three weeks for an explanation from them they agreed to a 10% discount. Still a gross overcharge! I don't see how they can sleep at night.

Contacted for quote on couple of things we had in mind for work. After couple of weeks, no response. I gave them the benefit of the doubt either they just busy or very selective in taking projects they want to work on.
