HISTORY
Established in 1951.
Transou's is a name that has been trusted in the Triad area for more than 70 years! In 1951, Transou's Septic Tank Service was created and started serving the Triad area. It wasn't until 1978 that the Redmond brothers bought the business which included two septic trucks and a reputation to withhold. Now let's fast-forward to the present day where those two brothers have built one of the largest, well-known septic businesses in the area. Built on hard work, customer service, and trust. Where do we come in? Glad you asked! Our owners Aaron Carlin and Brandon Redmond (grandson of Transou's Septic) had the vision to change the plumbing industry. Here at Transou's, our dedication to customer service and dependable work is at our company's core. Hello Yelp customer! My name is Brandon Redmond and I'm happy to share a little about myself. I live in Clemmons with my beautiful wife Brandi and our two kids, Aiden and Adalynn. Lots of people in the Triad know the name Transou's but don't know that we are now in Plumbing. We are looking to change the service industry by putting our customers first! Round two with Transou's and they win again. They had done a great job with a water heater for us recently, so when the dishwasher was next we called them back.
Megan is awesome. She listens well and really works to make the job scheduling perfect for the customers. I've talked to her both times now...she even remembered me from the first one. We were able to order a dishwasher from Lowes and have it delivered and Transou's came out and installed the new one / disposed of the old one. Megan make it all work on a tough schedule. Thanks Megan!
Chris was the tech that came out. He was a rock star. He did the work quickly and efficiently and was very professional. But he still took the time to chat just a bit. His work was perfect and we enjoyed his company.
I hope we don't need it again soon! But, when we do Transou's will be the go to.
Property Management Company used Transou's for day time visit on a rental property reporting discolored and grainy water. Technician legitimately checked a few things PSI, existing filter, etc. Then they wrote up a quote for a 3 system filtration system and sent a bill for $240 with no repairs performed.
Called a different plumber who replaced the filter for $80. Turns out because the house is on a well and sat for 2 months it just needed to run the water.
On the industry this is common and just taking advantage of the minimum pre-approved repair limit. No more business going here.

We had some sort of leak in our downstairs bathroom in September. We told them what was going on. Had them come out. They told us it was a toilet leaking. That the seal needed replaced. We paid over $1k for this. They checked our crawl space, our bathroom, cut multiple holes. It turns out that while we probably did need to have our toilet seal fixed and the pipe fixed, that's not what caused our leak. It was the roof. We had them come out again and check the plumbing. They'll charge you to cut the holes in your wall for discovery, but DONT leave the sheet rock they cut out to replace it with. They were very vocally pro trump, even saying they were leaving our house to go to a trump rally.
Very unhappy that they didn't do enough checking to find out what the actual issue was. We wasted over $1k on something that didn't need to be fixed.
I had Transou's Rooter & Plumbing out yesterday. I had the main sewer line cleaned out. There were roots blocking the pipe to the city side. The office manager, Meghan, was very professional and helpful on the phone. The men that came out, Tristan and Tim, were nice and did a great job. I've had this done before by Rotor Rooter, 5 yrs ago, and they charged me 4X as much as Transou. Not only did these guys complete the job but Tristan called the city and made an appointment for them to come out and check their side of the line for me. Talk about WOW!!!
They had a $98 coupon that I was able to use for main line work or use my name for $25 off other services.

We had a number of plumbing items to attend to prior to selling our home and we called Transou to do the work. Due to the number of items, some small and some larger, the job would take two days. There were two pairs of guys, one pair each day, and I have to say they were all amazing! Very professional, on time, polite, and very kind. And the work was spot-on. The office staff was excellent as well. I'll be using the same company for some septic tank work later this week and I have no doubt that this company could make even septic tank work pleasant for the homeowner. Thanks so much, guys!
Joshua and Chris came out to fix a stoppage. They were very detailed in their explanation of cause and options to resolve. Megan was also very nice on the phone and was so helpful getting us same day service!

Superior customer service! I have used Transou's Rooter & Plumbing three times for various plumbing-related issues (no water pressure in the house, water leaking from ceiling, and kitchen sink leaking).
The owner, Brandon, is kind, helpful, and personable. When you speak with him, it feels as though you are their most important client and your issue is the most important one of the day. I appreciate that and so will you!
The lead technician, Michael, is great to work with. He explains the issue (in terms you can understand) and offers different options for a solution. He then completes the work quickly and efficiently.

Seemed surprised that I was the homeowner. The technician started by asking I was the property manager or renter. I had to introduce the idea of being the home owner. Ultimately, they identified the problem and cleared the block.
Very professional, fast, kind and compassionate service from this company. Michael and his team were so responsive to my plumbing issues (sewage flood in my basement). They answered the phone right away, kindly walked me through how to turn off my water while I was in tears, and were at my house right away. I couldn't be more impressed or recommend them more highly.

Called this morning with two of our downstairs toilets not working properly. My husband had tried repairing but knew it was time to call a professional. Zach, Michael, and Chris came early when their other job had gotten rained out and fixed my toilets within the hour. Great, knowledgeable, and will definitively use them again for sure! Free estimates and they gave me options with prices.
Micheal came through for me again. He is a Transou's tech that has helped me before. I will sleep tonight knowing that the job was done right. And he is why I will continue to use Transou's!

Round #2. I decided to suck it up and have Mike and Transou's re-fit my bathtub/shower combo. I would say, all things considered, it went far better than I would have hoped. I really don't have much to compare it to, price-wise because I didn't bother to shop around. I think, in the long run, even when things get slightly tense over details... I would prefer to go thru it with a company that I have come to trust. Consistency is key with me and I am now convinced that Transou's can be trusted. Which is a big deal for anyone with trust issues. Capice? My bathroom looks less like shit than it did when they started. I'm sure I could have had them re-do the whole thing, but I didn't... .and nobody made me feel like a cheap-ass for not going with the works. And... they will wear those shoe covers to protect your carpet. Most of the time. It was kind of like having two Great Danes going up and down the stairs. So, call 'em.
Made an appointment with them the time came and they never showed. Had to call to find out they were running behind. They showed up stayed for all of 5 minutes and quoted me 3 times higher than everybody else that has looked at my problem.

I would be very careful about calling this company. They do not return repeated phone calls. They did not diagnose the problem, nor offered any solutions on fixing the issue.
It would be best to call someone else.
Tristan was the plumber that came out to my house, I thought I had a pretty bad plumbing issue & although it turned out to be a simple fix -- Tristan took the time to explain everything in a way I could understand, show me how to fix it on my own should the issue occur again, waited for my dishwasher to run to make sure the problem was 100% solved & then checked on the plumbing under my house to make sure it was up to date (at my request which was not apart of the initial booking). Extremely friendly & knowledgeable, called me about 45 minutes before arriving which was perfect. Very upfront about the costs & no hidden fees. I would ABSOLUTELY recommend Transou's Rooter & Plumbing to anyone & will 100% be using their services in the future!

Had a sewer issue, Mike came out on Sunday to diagnose the issue and had it repaired quickly. Excellent job.
Just moved to Winston-Salem from South Florida and needed help with mysterious sewer smell in our condo and toilet that sometimes didn't flush well, drains a little clogged, the usual stuff. We called a well known area plumber who charged us over $200 to tell us that they couldn't do anything about the smell, and wanted to replace our toilet, at a cost of around $750, so about $500 installation cost. Brandon and Anthony at Transou spent a great deal of time educating us about the potential origins of bad sewer smells, and we discovered an empty condo below us probably has a dry trap so the person tending the vacant condo for the owner went in and ran the water everywhere which helped quite a bit. Brandon and Anthony made sure we understood exactly what was wrong and why, and what our options would be. Their prices were a fraction of what the much large scale local plumbing company charge. We felt welcomed to the community and we appreciated that as much as their expertise, their fair prices and their total commitment to customer care and satisfaction.
I contacted Transou's after other recommendations in the Next Door/Buena Vista app. Michael came over and explained the various options I had fora sump pump back up system. I felt their price was reasonable for such an extensive job. (I have 3 sump pumps.) They arrived approximately when expected. My only small complaint would be they underestimated the time the job would take (it took almost 6 full hours, not two as estimated.) Additionally, there was a miscommunication about the bill and invoice I was charged, but when I expressed my concerns to Brandon the owner, he got back to me quickly and rectified the situation to my satisfaction, refunding me the amount of the misunderstanding. They were very attentive thru the whole process. My only other comment (not really a complaint) is that I didn't understand fully the rooter process. They should explain what the results can be (inconclusive) before you order a rooting process. I wanted to know where's drain led to but after twenty feet all they could tell me was we hit mud. So for $250 I found out nothing. Brandon assures me this will be addressed in future training meetings. (This was NOT the billing question mentioned earlier.) I would recommend them and use them for future projects.
