Horticulture & Nature have fascinated Robert Nicopolis', Rain or Shine Landscapes founder, as long as he can remember. Rob has had over 25 years of experience in the green industry, and has specialized in Irrigation, Drainage, & Landscape Lighting. He has obtained his NC Irrigation & Landscaping Contractor licenses, as well as his backflow tester certification, fully bonded, & insured.

We worked with Rain or Shine to install both an irrigation (sprinkler) and low voltage lighting system in our front and backyards. Rob and his team were a real pleasure to work with. They were priced reasonably and did quality work. Once we booked with them, they had drawings submitted to the town within a few days for permits and approvals, and then they started the project a few weeks after that. It took 4 days to finish up, and everything came out great. We highly recommend Rain or Shine!

$150/hour. If you're willing to pay that for a man to dig in your lawn, then call. Otherwise, keep looking. They fixed the problem, which was leaking valves in my sprinkler system, but it took 5 hours. Total cost $845. The estimate was half that.

Rob, Robin and the team are the best. They expanded our current sprinkler system that came with our house. It was tough getting any other sprinkler company to do it, but he was there to do the job promptly and to do it right. Everyone was professional yet personable. At least when you call, Robin is there answering the phone and addressing your concerns. I highly recommend this company! Thank you so much!
Rob is the real deal. He is the owner / operator of Rain or Shine and he does all of the work himself. We had to pause our project half way through due to the summer heat not being ideal for new sod. We finally laid sod in late September which is definitely the busy season for the landscape / irrigation world. Rod came out on a Saturday and worked all day until the job was done. Our grass is green and beautiful! Very pleased with his work and fair value in his prices.

I called Rob , after i had already gone thru frustration with a company with a very similar name. But don't be fooled. I had to have this company, go back and fix what the other guy didn't do right. ( the other company is named Rainy Day irrigation.) The one you need to call is Rain or Shine irrigation. Rob noticed that the first company put in older mechanical equipment, not new one. Also, they paired up a 1 line, with a 3/4 line... just to gt the job done. Obviously it was never working right. The drip systems that were put in nearly ruined two trees, because they had the spray shooting a fierce jet of water about 2 inches from the small tree. Rob fixed all of that, for a much better price . He is the fellow you need to call. He will show up , when he says, and gt the work done and it will be done right.
Rob and his team are great. I've used them over the past two years for my irrigation system winterization needs. They are always on time and easy to schedule electronically. I also like the ability to set up an annual service plan which makes seasonal maintenance a breeze. It makes costs lower and puts this on autopilot so you don't have to remember. One thing that sets them apart is the care Rob takes in inspecting the system and explaining any needs you might have (or don't). I had a broken head that was losing water without my knowledge. He found it and replaced saving me a great deal in my monthly water bill. Also, as of this review, they are contact-free and masked up for service. Highly recommend!

I was very impressed that they stand behind their work. I had them repair a leak in a backflow valve, and it started leaking again 6m later. They agreed to fix it. Good work, from honest people. I also have them replace the cut-off valve to the system and they excavated carefully and did a great job!

Rob and everyone at Rain or Shine Landscapes completed a recent project to improve the drainage around my house. From the initial estimate to completion of the project, they provided an exceptional customer experience. The team was incredibly professional, installing new drainage pipes while barely disturbing the grass (you can barely see where they dug) all at a good price. I highly recommend calling them for your project!
Highly recommend Robert and the team. They've done two projects for me and both were wonderful.
The first was attaching an irrigation system to a new water meter. They helped me navigate the permitting process for the new water meter, had it connected, and tested it with the town.
The second was fixing drainage issues in the yard. Rob walked around the property and was able to determine where to best place catch basins/connect gutters to reduce run-off. The project was completed in two days, and I haven't had drainage issues since!
The team is reliable and the work is done to a high standard. I appreciated how they were able to keep much of the grass intact, it was hard to tell where the work was done after a few weeks.
They also stand by their work. One of the gutter drainage pipes surfaced slightly after a storm, and the team came back out and re-buried it at no charge.
As a follow-up when my valves got run over during a landscape project, Rob and Rain or Shine came out and replaced everything. Great working with them.
