Like having an old friend over

We have used Pro Plumbing numerous times and have never had a complaint. They are quick to respond and timely. The staff is friendly and they always explain the problem and solution thoroughly and effectively. I feel comfortable that I am getting the best service for the best price.

Really??? They do not work with real estate and property management firms. really? so your market is only home owners only? that does not make any sense to those of us who are licensed and manage hundreds of properties. You just completed a job for us a few weeks ago and were paid immediately. We wish you all the best! In today's real estate market, I cannot understand your decision, but we certainly respect it.

A total rip off. I only wanted a simply kitchen sink faucet upgrade. I had purchased the the faucet and they wanted to charge me almost $400. Never again! I'll take my chances with myself before paying that. Beware and save yourself the $49 plus tax they will charge you for coming out to over price the simple work you ask of them.

The plumber with Pro Plumbing Heating and Air was punctual and seemed very knowledgeable but his quote was much too high. He provided a quote of $798 for my project. Knowing this was much too high from my knowledge of general home maintenance cost, I contacted another professional plumber who did the same exact job, even with a couple small extras like a cap over the old vent, for $225. After I sent the plumber away, I called the company to ensure this was an accurate quote. A representative of Pro Plumbing called me back and tried to justify the difference using advertising costs, health care costs and additional overhead. I can understand how this can raise the costs but not over 200% more. I believe Pro Plumbing would do a good job, but customers need to make sure to compare costs to avoid paying over-inflated prices.

In my opinion, this group is grossly incompetent....at least when it comes to back office support. Lost payments, threats to sue for non-payment when payment was made, accepting double payment on an invoice that was already paid, etc...the simple service was performed adequately, but i would never recommend this group. In my opinion, they are either grossly incompetent or worse. Stay away.

Our bathtub at our lake house wasn't draining because of tree roots in the pipes. The plumber called at 2:00 pm to say he had a cancellation and could come then, so my husband drove from Winston-Salem and met him around 3:00. We didn't know how long it would take, so my husband left him there, asking him to call to let us know what he found and what it would cost. The plumber called around 4:00 to say he had found the problem, but he didn't give us an estimate at that time. He later emailed a cost of just over $1,000. It was not itemized. We then got an invoice for that amount, still not itemized. We called and left a message asking for someone to talk with us about the bill. No reply, so we called again. Again, no reply. The third time, my husband spoke with a woman who said she didn't know what the itemization would be, so then he spoke to the owner of the company, who also said he wasn't able to itemize it. Then he said we could come into his office for about two hours so he could tell us how it was itemized, but we wouldn't like it. (No kidding.) Don't use these guys unless you don't care what they charge you or how they determine the charge.

Called this company to give an estimate for possibly rerouting some HVAC duct work through to another room. They were good enough to waive the fee to come out and inspect, and they insisted on inspecting the existing work as well. Ok, no problem there. Guy came and told my wife the duct work couldn't be routed into the living room, which I pretty much knew was going to be the case. Where the 1 star review comes in is when he decided to fear monger my wife by trying to convince her that all the duct work needed to be replaced to the tune of $10,000! And I would get on that...I can schedule you for Monday... No thanks, bub. Nothing I can't stand more than someone who tries to milk you for something that wasn't even an issue. Yes, the duct work is old and there was a hole, but then the gentleman lied as well to my wife, stating the hole couldn't be patched. Meanwhile, again, nothing wrong with my HVAC system currently. This call was for something completely unrelated to this. Anyway, thanked him for his time, and got a second opinion from another HVAC company who did patch that hole without trying to gauge $10k from me.
About a week later, I went outside and saw that the guy had the nerve to put his magnet on my compressor outside to advertise. No thanks, pal. You can come get your magnet back. Stay away. Huge red flag for a company to come in on a simple inspection call and try to ring you up for that kind of money for something that wasn't an issue.
Almost forgot to mention, he recommended a split unit for the living room, which I agreed with and had researched typical costs around $2500 or so for new installation. The quote from this company? $6000! I ended up going with Maurice's who did it for $3200 after tax.

**I should also update this to address the owner's response, as I do appreciate your response was classy and dignified. I do understand suggesting things that could or should be done, but this was more than that. This was fear mongering for a high priced job. Overpriced at that. I'm sorry I forgot to mention that Maurice's not only patched the hole that your tech said couldn't be patched, but they also quoted all new ductwork, if we wanted to go that route, for $6,000. Far lower than the $10,000 quote from you. I understand price quotes can vary wildly from contractor to contractor, but that's quite a difference.

Always shop around.  I guess these guys make their money off their $45 estimates.  Their estimate was 4+ thousand dollars for 45 ft of pipe from the meter to the house.  Estimate was 4x the next 3 estimates from highly recommended and licensed plumbers for the same job.
The other estimates were spot on with OVER THE PHONE estimates on a job they haven't seen and none charged to come onsite to verify estimates for the job.  All estimates were within $100 of phone estimate.
The job was done for just under 1k.

Never call just one contractor to get a job done and ALWAYS read their reviews.

As far as I am concerned this company is a rip off.  I had called and asked for a ballpark price on snaking out a sewer line.  I said I understood they would not be able to give me an exact price.  I was told they would have to come out in order to give any type of price.  The top to my outside sewer clean out would pop off when the toilet flushed or a large amount of water was run and then run out of the clean out.  This would indicate to anyone that the clog was after the clean out.  When they arrived he wanted to check the water pressure, hot water heater, the inside pipes and under the crawl space.  I explained that the inside drains were fine and the sewer lines from the inside of the house to the sewer clean out had been replaced less than three years ago that I only needed a price for snaking out the sewer line.  He insisted they could not give me any price until they had checked the pressure, hot water heater and inside plumbing.  After spending a enormous amount of time checking problems I didn't have, they gave me a price of $300.00 to snake a line that is less than 40 feet and recommended that we spend an additional amount to run a camera first.  I didn't even let him finish with the other items he thought we needed to do and told him to leave.  I wasted $45.00 on a service call and time off work for what I consider to be a rip off.    I called another plumber who was there in less than 2 hours snaked out the line as I ask charged me 1/3 of what Pro Plumbing wanted and everything is working perfectly.

They wanted to charge over $10,000 for a job that got fixed for under $100.  Don't trust them.  They are con men.

This is the worst company for quality AC and professionalism.

We had our AC unit installed about a year and a half ago. It has stopped working twice during this time. We are still under warranty and they still charge $100 (even if it's a simple fix and even though it's under warranty)

Our AC went out again. It took some time to get someone on the phone. When we finally got in-touch with someone we were informed they would be out to assist us the next day. This is the third day in a row they have failed to follow through.

Do yourself a favor and do not use this company. Even though we are under warranty we will be finding a new company. I would be ashamed if I worked for this company. How are they even in business with all of these reviews.

I scheduled online for someone to come out on thursday.  I did that over the weekend but called on Tuesday because had not heard what timeframe would be. so they tell me 2-5 which is a large window when you work during the day.  I take the day off and had to take my son to an appointment as well.  I got stuck in traffic and called a few minutes before 2 and told them I was not sure where they were but might be ten minutes late.  The woman tells me they are still at a call so I tell her good we will definitely be there then.  My phone was about to die when I got in so put on charge.  I go to get it off charge at 3 and they had called at 2:30 and texted.  Since I did not answer they say they are not coming.  I had already called and said I would be there so it is stupid that you give such large windows and then someone does not answer right away you dont come.  any other services they give me window and they come.  they should tell people ahead of time if you are not by your phone when they call even though you have an appointment between a certain time they are not comin.  everyone's time is valuable, not just theirs.

I had a major toilet leak over the summer and Pro Plumbing was kind enough to send someone out on a Sunday to get it fixed. I paid for the job and the yearly service plan for heating and plumbing up front. I received a call in November to remind me about scheduling the service call, so I did. between November and the end of the year I was called 4 times to reschedule and point blank told that since I wasn't a paid job I would always get bumped. WOW! After the 4th time I told them not to reschedule the appointment and that I would not be renewing the service plan. I'll find someone else that considers my money just as good as someone else's.

I scheduled with their dispatcher a few days ago. A technician was scheduled for Friday morning at 8:00 am. I received a reminder call and voice mail the night before to make sure I didn't forget that the technician was coming out. On Friday morning I had a missed call while I was in the shower. I assumed it was a call saying that the technician was on the way. There was no voice mail - just a missed call. I called their number and someone said they'd call me back. After 15 or 20 minutes (not sure) i called again and was told the person I needed to speak with was on the phone and would call me back. No phone callback received. After another 15 or 20 minutes I called back and was told they had left a voice mail on the call this morning saying the technician couldn't make it and asked if they could reschedule. I'll look elsewhere for service providers that care about their customers.

the worse!! do not use this company. can not recommend them!! nasty. rude, violent temper (alex) is never again allowed on my property!! paid $10,000. dollars for new air-conditioning system and it's stop running 4 times during hot summer months. over charge the customers random prices!! they didn't put safety valve on first and caused  major water damage, causing the bedroom ceiling to crash down. it cost me $1200.00 to have ceiling repaired, no reimbursement yet, due to their negligence. product sold top of the line is obviously bad product or used parts. frequent break downs. winter system stop running, froze, no heat. this is the worse absolute to deal with!!! avoid them at all cost!!

Pro Plumbing did a very thorough job in replacing both our Heat Pump and our Water Heater. The visit was scheduled conveniently, and completed as quickly as could be expected.

I was very impressed with everyone with which I had contact.

The new water heater had a leak just after installation, but they scheduled an emergency return visit free of charge, and we've had no issues since.

Similarly, the HVAC system had an issue with draining just after installation, and they scheduled an emergency return visit free of charge, and we've had no issues since.

On the whole, I would unreservedly recommend Pro Plumbing & Electric, with the caveat that their busy schedule sometimes seems to result in minor issues being missed but immediately rectified, free of charge.

Our appointment for a costly annual maintenance contract was logged for the wrong day, and I got up 2 hours early on my day off only to wait half an hour after the appointment with no word.  I called to find out what the deal was, and was told they put in the wrong date.  We had used PP with our previous home with acceptable service, but if the front desk cannot make an appointment properly, they are no longer worth my time or money.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! I spent about $13,000 on a new hvac system and it's been a nightmare since we signed the contract. We feel like they sold us up. Their receptionists who answer the phone are unhelpful and rude. They put holes in the wall of our utility room to hang their tools and then claim the holes were already there. They didn't do the install correctly so it didn't pass inspection 3 times now. I've told them not to send Andy Willis out here because he's the one who did the hvac wrong in the first place and still they sent him to fix it. We're waiting for the inspector to come again. We know it will fail for a 4th time because Andy Willis didn't fix it code again. We now know the code because of all this mess. USE AURORA PLUMBING. We will be using Aurora plumbing from now on.

The initial visit went great, but when the technician arrived he said he had the wrong water heater.  His boss brought the correct one several hours later, I expected an install in about four hours.  I was wrong: From 10.m. until 9 p.m. one guy struggled to install my water heater.  To add insult to injury, the guy asked me to sign as installed. I did, but unknowingly, he had not finished.  I looked at  my walls in my storage room, and there was red caulk smeared on the wall.  Of course it needed to be painted. I called to complain and the guy who answered said, oh he needs to come by and caulk to finish.  I took another day off without pay and the guy showed up a couple of hours late.  He drilled my outside wall for 30 minutes.  Now I didn't know he was working, he never called. Then he buzzed me and did some work inside.  After an hour or so, he said he was finished.  I didn't know what he needed to do.  I paid promptly and in full.  Maybe I shouldn't have.  Buyer beware.

When it comes to big jobs like this one, time needs to pass for me to give a well made review. I got a faucet, dishwasher, pipe under the sink, and new piping under the house, an industrial sink, and new hot/cold piping leading to that sink as well as drainage from there.

My house is very old, and I believe, flipped before I got it, so there were many missing things that needed to be fixed before they started their job.

It's been only two weeks. As of right now, everything was done well and it looks great. There is a one year warranty, but I don't know how will they will honor it because there hasn't been enough time to find out because nothing has had a chance to break.

Everything looks and runs great.

I'm very happy with the finished job, and the people were nice. I had their plumbers come, and later their electricians. I did have to pay extra for hooking up the electric part to the disposal (the disposal wire did not reach the new disposal, which is now in the center of the sink... the last one was to the left. Because of that the wire was short). They did include the price of that beforehand but it was not to their knowledge this was an issue at the time. They added a plug receptacle under the sink and a plug from the disposal leading to it.

In other words, even though there was an extra charge, the kitchen was in much better shape when they left.

They even gave me a discount due to the unforeseen problems, which I appreciate. There were unforeseen things that popped up as the job was done due to the house being so old.

I'm not sure what some people are complaining about in the other reviews. Most of them didn't even have any work done. As for me, as of right now, I am happy with their job.

Of course, it's only been a short time. If something goes wrong in the next year, and they do not abide by their warranty, I will make a re-post.

But as of now, I am very happy!

Where do I begin. I called and made an appointment over a month ago. My HVAC system went out. They came out and told me what they thought the issue was with my unit. Joshua Clayton suggested I get a new circuit board and told me it would be there by Tuesday, mind you it was Friday when he came out. The unit came almost two weeks later. 3 weeks later the unit went out again, same issue. However, I made an appointment 3 separate times for Mr. Clayton to come back out, he canceled each time due him stating he had a tooth ache. Mind you I have a 3 year old son and it was freezing. A receptionist named Alisha was the nastiest person I could speak with to get someone out. When he did arrive he stated it was the circuit board fuse, then stated the thermostat was causing the issue. He asked to repair the thermostat for $400 after I paid $500 for a new circuit board. I told them I would find someone else. When I found someone else they noticed Mr. Clayton had left the old circuit board in the attic, they noticed the fuse was still attached. The new company told me they had gotten over on me because the issue wasn't the circuit board it was only the fuse. The new company only charged $140 to install a new thermostat. Watch out for them, they will get over on you, I called several times for a refund, I never got a response back.

I called to asked about changing a faucet to a new one I purchased. They could not tell me how much. I said as long as it isn't a lot because my daughter can do it when she gets back in town. They said it would be 45 to come out. Then the guy asked to check my bathrooms and water tank. I was like why because hubby is asleep in the master room. So he didn't check it or washer and dryer because I don't think he wanted to pull those big ones out lol. Anyways,  he said let me.get u a Price and came back with 1k. He said water tank should.be flush every year. I was like WHAT. He said I know. Then he mentioned 800 something which I didn't pay attention to what that was about. I asked what about the faucet and finally he said 300 something so i OF COURSE SAID NO. Had remembered using Deese plumbing for my daughter which don't charge a fee just to come out and don't try to rip.u off. They said it would be 99 to 125.   NEVER CALL PRO PLUMBING AGAIN .  The ladies scheduling were real nice is the only good thing but they were also suppose to be here at 8 and the guy was sick. She called to let me know the other guy will be here in 30.mins but he was more like 45 mins..  I hate I had to pay 45 for that and wasted my morning and my afternoon.
