MI Electric

I had a great experience with Mi Electric.  I called them for what I thought was a small job & they told me they could do it & they would call me back the next week.  They did that & we scheduled a time but when they arrived my job required a CAT 5 & their supplier had given them the wrong wire.  They called & told me they would come back within a few days.  They kept in touch with me until we could work out a new date, came out & in 20 minutes switched out the wires and were gone.

I would use Mi-Electric again.  Every person & every company has times that mistakes happen & I believe in giving folks a chance.

Marc is extremely unethical and untruthful. He will take your money and not complete the work you paid for. He put in a used lighting fixture when I paid for new. I have been waiting for several months for him to finish the work I paid him for.

Avoid at all costs.

Not sure what Marc, at MI Electric is all about, but I called, was scheduled for an installation of a light and two ceiling fans on a Friday. No Show. I had to call him. He said he would return on the following Monday. No Show again.  No call again. Enough said.   Don't waste your time

Unethical scumbags who take your money, do shoddy workmanship (outlets were put in that weren't even wired! ), initially said they'd come back to fix  things , and I gave him 2 MONTHS to do so.  Texted at least 20 times, called at least 20 times, no response. STAY AWAY!

The team at MI electric were amazing. They came in within two days notice and reinstalled an enormously big chandelier in the foyer and then an additional chandelier in the dining room. They help with suggestions on bulbs and many other things to make the process easier. Their prices were reasonable and they were very effective in regards to timeliness and keeping everything clean while they worked.  We're looking forward to having them do other work at our home and probably would never trust another electrician other than MI electric

I was assigned to MI electric by Lowes to do the light installation. For One and half weeks, they never call me to make an appointment. I tried to find the number on the website and call them, then I was told they don't take customer's request. When I asked Lowes to push them, I was told by Lowes that MI electric refused to answer the phone and no reply to the voice mail.

Finally, Lowes transfer me to another contractor.

This is my true story. The company is lazy and rude.

After Lowes transferred me to another contractor, MI electric called me to make an appointment with me, which makes me confused. I told them I want to cancel this job. Then the guy on the phone said 'ok' and then hang up directly.

What a shame! This kind of company shall not exist.

Late no return calls quite possibly the worst experience I ever had. Trust me STAY AWAY..Other electrician called me back in 5 minutes scheduled appointment fixed problem and charged me fairly. DO NOT USE MI..

I had several other electricians come to my home to figure out why my lights were flickering.  With in 5 minutes he figured out the problem, It was arching in the breaker panel.
Very dangerous , my house  could have easily burn to the ground. They replaced the panel and I'm very happy camper. I HIGHLY recommend MI Electric !

MI Electric has been consistent and fair in their dealings for the past 6 months which is why I'm taking the time to post (something I don't usually do).  In the past 6 months I've worked with an average of 30 - 40 contractors.  The majority have been unreliable, some are complete rip off artists. MI Electric stands apart from the majority, they do a very thorough job, and have been extremely pleasant to work with... They have performed 5 projects for me, to include burying a well line in the ground, rewiring and relocating an electric box, wiring a bathroom and a kitchen.  An average of $10K worth of work.  All projects have been performed in good time.  If adjustments needed to be made, Marc responded in good time and made it right. Keep them on your speed dial, they are a good company to have...trustworthy and reliable!! **Will share pictures by request.

WARNING!!!!!! WARNING!!!!  Sex Offender Alert!

This company was assigned by our landlord (Park Avenue Properties) for basic work.  Took them over 4 weeks (and several calls) to finally get someone to the house.  Then, apparently because they are short staffed, the owner sent one of his buddies to do the repair.  

This sexual deviant proceeded to pull out his member and approached my wife outside in broad daylight.  His name was DANIEL ALLEN and he has been reported to CMPD for sexual deviance.  BEWARE OF THIS SEXUAL DEVIANT!!!!

It was bad enough that we had to wait so long, then this dime-store operation sends out a sex offender.  If I see this guy ever come close to our neighborhood again, I will call the police or possibly drag him out of our neighborhood by myself.  

STAY AWAY FROM THIS SHODDY OPERATION.

Very unreliable for scheduling. Work was not performed as stated. After a miscommunication was unnecessarily very rude and hostile. Will not do business with again.

MI owner,  Marc is very responsible and understand the customer's need. He is always on time and did a very good work.

Don't waste your time or frustration with this company.  Sent 2 guys (don't know why people were sent, I assumed 1 was in training) to fix a very simple switch problem.  Got a bill for several hundred dollars for a very simple fix.   Still don't really understand why I was billed for 2 people.   I had several other projects that were much, much more complicated including a   rennovation/remodel and other projects on investment properties that I wanted to find a trusted electrician to work with.  But after this horrible experience for a simple fix I would never consider them.    For a service company their horrible billing practice was very short sighted.   If my initial impression of them was positive I might have been working with them for years, but after that experience I can't ever consider them.   I really hate to leave negative reviews but this one earned it.   I should have trusted other reviews for this company.

I set an appointment with this company to have some electrical repairs fixed for our rental after the property management company referred our maintenance request to them. I would like to add I was not given a choice, this is the company they use.  I set an appointment time and was ready and waiting during the 30 minute window given, but no one showed up. I was then charged a $90+ trip charge fee by MI that is now on my rental statement for this matter. I did not receive a call until the next afternoon regarding this matter and immediately after spoke with the property manager who assured me they would reschedule, that never happened. They are now arguing and stating that we were not home during our appointment time, wihch is false.  I will 100% NEVER recommend this company to anyone in the area.

Responded to call quickly, showed up when they said they would, sent a polite and knowledgeable electrician who worked quickly and hard in a tricky situation ( under and around a boat dock) We will use this company as our go-to electricians in the future.

Hired them to install can lights with dimmers.  The lights were installed but I have been trying for over 6 months to get dimmers.  Finally had enough and they were just going to send me the dimmers so I could install myself - never received them.  No follow up no customer service.  Make sure all the work is done and correct before you pay.

Hired them to install cable wire and outdoor conduit pipe for my fan. They curt holes all over the place to run the cable lines. They came in the afternoon and were in a rush to get out of here. They gave me a price to install conduit pipe outside but could not install at same time because  they didn't have all the necessary parts. After 2 changed  appointments( that should have been my red flag) they showed up an hour earlier than scheduled  and tried to give us another quote for twice the amount. Fortunately we had them write the quote so we had proof. They proceeded to do the job and spilled a big blotch ( approx. 8 inches in diameter ) on my brick patio and asked us for supplies to clean. They  attached the conduit to the wall usin plastic matching clamps for the first two spots which ate behind a chair and they proceeded to finish with silver clamps that stand out and look awful. We decided to cut our losses and will be replacing the clamps ourself.
