I would not hire them again, called  on 8/2020for a leak and supposedly fixed and did not check the meter on their way out. I checked after shutting down the water at the house and water was still running. called again and they came out on 8/21  and stated it was fixed and would come out with tractor to fill in hole they dug. on 9/7 came out to fill in hole and pumped out water from the rain and everything was good. On 9/15/20 Davidson water meter person came out and told us still has a leak. Called Johns Plumbing again and they would put us on schedule 9/21. I have a friend who found the 2nd leak and fixed it and no issues and canceled with Johns Plumbing and their cost was outrageously high of over $1300.00 and water bill was over $400.  Do not hire them

I used this company for a few items in my home. They were provided info ahead of time about the items I would be supplying. The neglected to mention the seat wasn't included with the toilet and I would need to get it separately. They didn't bring the right tools to do the job. They made 2 trips to the store the first day. Since they didn't have the correct tools, they had to schedule an additional day. I had requested they clear the clogged drain of my tub and sink in the master bath. It is clogged again. Service was completed on 7/10. I called today to see if they will come an resolve the problem. They say they didn't clear the pipes while they were here as I asked. They just removed the plug and cleared the surface area. They want to charge me $80 to resolve the problem. This is a job they didn't do as requested in the first place. I'm extremely frustrated and disappointed in my experience with John's Plumbing of Greensboro.

They put in a downdraft vent for our new range top. The crew was knowledgeable and professional. The work was done right and the area was clean when they were done. The price was very good compared to some of the other big sales pitch companies around these days that promise a lot and send out unprofessional and untrained crews to work on your house. Johns did a great job and earned our trust. I just wish we tried them first.

You know the saying about a fool and his money.  My elderly mother's sump pump stopped working.  She called John's to check it out.  I found out about this and got there right when they arrived.  The plumber looked at it for 5 seconds and said, yes, you need a new sump pump.  He worked up the estimate.  $511.00!  What??!  This wasn't for a brand new system, just to replace an old pump (involves cutting old pvc pipe, putting in new pump, connecting pipe back).  I asked for an itemized receipt to explain this price because it was ridiculous.  He said that's just what they charged.  I told him to leave.  He said there would still be an $89.95 plus tax service charge to my mother.  Wow, $96 for a 5 second assessment.  Wow, I'm in the wrong business.  Plus, you don't get the $96 back when you do accept the job, it gets tacked onto the bill.  What a rip off.  Do yourself and your wallet a favor and use another plumbing service.  I've gone over to All-Star and am happy.  John's has all these vans with the nice paint jobs, I just choose not for me nor my family to pay for them.  Remember the fool saying.

Never use John's Plumbing! I had them replace my main water line and sewer line about 15 years ago. About a year after the problems started.  Eventually I found out they had put a hole in the top of the sewer pipe when they installed it.  After that the copper pipe started developing pin size holes. The cleanout they installed only went to the street and not into the house which would require you to remove a toilet, if your clog was in the house. I just paid another company to replace the entire thing again after finding yet another hole in the sewer pipe! Never Ever use them!

Do not ever use this plumbing service. I had them over and they said they had to order parts. Two weeks later I had heard nothing. I had to hire another plumber to finish the job. While they were here they told me I needed something done but the second plumber said it was unnecessary. Before they left they took trash from the van and threw it in my yard.

I agree with Ken D.  I'll try to make this short.  My elderly mother called John's to replace a non-working, already installed sump pump.  A technician came out, saw it wasn't working and came back with a bill.  $511!!!  I was there when they came and I asked for them to itemize out the very high cost.  He couldn't.  He said that's just what we charge.  I quickly denied this estimate but my mother was still charged a rip-off $89.95 (plus tax) service charge.  For a 15 second assessment?  Not all plumbing is rocket science.  I bought a sump pump at Home Depot and installed it myself.  The job required a new pvc pipe, a hacksaw, a hub and some glue. Not all plumbing companies have a van fleet with pretty paint jobs, fluorescent workshirts and pig in blanket tv commercials for customers to pay for.  Some plumbers do good work and will do quotes with no charge.  There are good ones out there.  Look for them.

Had to have 1 toilet cutoff valve replaced. They charged $90.00 for a service call and then another $80.00 to replace the $12.00 valve which takes about 10 minutes. This is crazy and will never use them again. Will find another company with a bit of integrity. They definitely need some competition if they can get away with charging this much. I gave two stars only because they fixed the leak.
