Waking up to a cold house on a winter day can be scary! Especially on a weekend when you know a lot of companies are closed or charging overtime charges. I was only semi prepared for the cost as they let me know on the phone just to come out on the weekend would be $189.00. The technician, Gino, was friendly and thorough and I could tell he really cared and wanted to do a good job. The pluses : We only waited an hour from the initial call until the technician was at our door. They texted us a photo of the technician so we could identify them when they arrived.  They fixed our heat. The negatives: the cost for cleaning a flame sensor felt high. We had asked for a call when they were 10 mins away to get the dog secured in another location and that didn't happen.  Ultimately they showed up and got the job done and we are happy to have heat!

We used to green for a couple of plumbing jobs and when it was time to replace our HVAC system we called them. We had an estimator come out to quote us and when he called back we told him we wanted a quote for a different kind of system (swapping from a gas furnace to an all electric system). He said he would have the quote for us by the end of the week then it was towards the end of the week after that we heard from go green again. The original guy that came out to do the estimate must have passed us on to another colleague because we never heard from the original guy. They gave us the quotes and we asked about higher seer ratings (for tax credits) they said they wouldn't have any in stock for another month so they would call us in a month. A month later they called before the scheduled time and never returned our call when we called back.
We called another company and had our HVAC system and hot water heater replaced within a week of contacting them.  We still haven't heard from go-green.
I hate to give this company a low rating because the plumbing work we had done was a very positive experience.

Not the quality service I was expecting for the price they charge. Years ago I got a new water heater installed by this company. While the install technician looked professional there was a lot of amateur mistakes made like messes on the floor, the circuit breaker being left off after he left, and not testing it completely. The way I found the circuit breaker turned off was noticing no hot water for a few days. When I flipped it and finally got hot water it blew a fuse a few hours later.

I called to complain and they sent a technician to check the previous installers work which fixed the problem.

Fast forward to a few years later when my family goes to sell our house. We find out the water heater was improperly installed through a professional inspection. The pressure relief valve was a one foot pipe into a bucket that would have flooded the closet. So we had to pay to drill through our flooring to have a proper area for it to release if there were any problems.

Definitely had a lot of issues doing business with this company I would not recommend.

No one likes to arise from their slumber on any given morning, and the first thing they hear is their partner telling them there is no hot water. I had that unfortunate situation yesterday, and only know a few basic things about water heaters. I went to look at ours and noticed the pilot light was out, which is something I CAN do something about, so I attempted to re-light it. Instead of a burning pilot, I was greeted with a flashing light based error code that was 100% above my pay grade.

I went to the Yelp App and fired up their request a quote tool, which I love. You can answer some simple questions, and your inquiry will go out to a group of highly rated local businesses that can help. They get back to you through the Yelp app, and make it easy to schedule. Very handy!

Go Green was the first to respond, and they were able to fit me into their afternoon schedule. Their standard service call rate was very fair and I was happy to get someone to look at it soon. Mark B made it to my house that day by 4pm.

Now I worked in the IT repair field for many years, and so many times have seen the frustration as a person hands me their computer and I do the exact same things they did, and for me it works. I got a taste of my own medicine, as Mark lit the pilot on the first try and no error message was given. What caused the pilot to go out, or why I got the error, a mystery to us both.

He could have simply been on his way then, but he stayed to make sure the pilot stayed lit and the water got back up to temp. With that time, he inspected the water heater educating me on typical service life and what a new unit would cost if I wanted to consider replacement. He also inspected my water pressure, house shut off valve, pressure valve (requiring a crawl space trip) and made some recommendations that I might consider for the future.

So instead of feeling dumb for paying a service fee on a 5 minute fix, I learned a lot of things I needed to know about my relatively new home, and found a quality company to work with in the meantime. They recognize that this level of service, while just a small amount today, could pay off for them in the long run, and I appreciate that. Thanks a bunch Go Green!

I've used Go Green twice now and have had amazing experiences both times. The techs are so professional and respectful of my home, and they always wear shoe covers so they don't leave dirt anywhere. They begin by making it clear what they're planning to do, which usually starts with an assessment of the issue(s). Once they figure out what needs to be done, they draft up a few options with pricing so you have a choice of which solution makes the most sense for you. I've never felt pressure to go with the most expensive option and the techs have always given me space to decide. They communicate really well before they do any work so the chances of being blindsided are very slim. Overall, I'm super satisfied and would highly recommend them!

I ordered a new heating and AC unit to be installed under my home, when it came time to install it, I was in the hospital with a broken ankle. There was no problem. They took care of all the financing.
The only problem now is the Honeywell thermostat will not respond to my alp on my smartphone.

Bad experience. I made a request for service on Yelp. Had three reply's. Go Green waived it's service fee so I cancelled another appointment(smart way to get rid of the competition) then they cancelled on me saying that they would come after hours for an additional $169.00 after stringing us along all day with texts. Didn't have an option but to reschedule for the next day.

Tech quoted me $2000- $2500 for 5lbs of 410a and to redo a few flare connections. They had prior knowledge of what needed to be done and the tech came unprepared. So, Even if I was willing to pay the unrealistic quote he was  not prepared to do the work. Wasted two days. The unit was a mini split that cost $900 new and comes fully charged. They wanted $2500. Wow just Wow

They misdiagnosed the problem as well. It was just a loose nut at the flare connection. $2500 to tighten a nut and $150 in coolant.

Had a clogged drain the kitchen that kept us from using the sink, disposal, and dish washer. Called on Tuesday at 1:35. They didn't think they could make it on Tuesday (they would try), so they put me on the schedule for Wednesday. I got a text at 8:38 a.m. that I was on the schedule. At 2:47, I get a text that they can't come on Wednesday after all (plumbing emergency, which I understand). They put me on the schedule for Thursday. Got a call at 3:43 that they couldn't come Thursday. They wanted to reschedule for next Wednesday (with a maybe) or a definite time on Thursday of 8 a.m. They did offer me $100 which I declined and let them know that I would need to get the work done elsewhere.

They might be the best plumbers in Greensboro, but I would be wary if they can't give you a time for the appointment.

Go Green Plumbing, Heating and Air is my go-to choice for any of their services offered. They are highly reliable, honest and have always done a good job. Plus, their customer service is worlds above other companies that I've dealt with. I even got a card congratulating me on the birth of my child.

They are not the cheapest, but they are consistently reliable and honest and have always fixed our issues. I would choose Go Green every time. You should too!

This is an update of my initial contact review and encapsulates the final product.  Let me say this: Craftsmanship without gouging or taking advantage of the customer.  My leak was the result of two faulty water heaters.  It was a project that took almost 10 hours to complete due to the confined spaces that our plumber (Shane) had to manage.  With this new installation we also replaced a damaged faucet from recent work done in that area AND installed a main water shut off for the home owner.  A tad more expensive than my self-install at another house, the cost bringing everything to code with quality equipment was worth it

Lastly, some of the little things stood out, especially if you are concerned with security:  I received follow-ups from the Dispatch Team and when the technician was en route, I received a text containing his background and photo.  You immediately know what your tech looks like.

Lastly, I did receive a call back from a competitor.  Sight unseen he provides a quote of $500 to fix the leak.  BS.  FWIW, the service call from Go Green was $69, not $500.  Buyer beware of others----if it doesn't feel right, your instinct is probably right.

I will use Go Green for future plumbing needs.

This has been the best home maintinance/service experience I've ever had!  Garrison S. raises the bar for professionalism and quality of service!  I can not say enough good things about his work!

During these uncertain times of this unexpected pandemic, Garrison S. was prepared with Personal Protective Equipment, took the time to explain the precautions he would take to keep me and my family safe, which put us at ease during these uncertain times.

Go Green Plumbing, Heating and Air, as well as Garrison S. go above and beyond to ensure the customer is informed, comfortable, and understand in detail the work being performed and any cost involved, up front!  No hidden cost, no fine print.  Just straight forward, quality work by a true professional!

My HVAC  was on the fritz.  They were able to come out the same day.  Scheduling was a breeze, and communication was maintained until Garrison was able to navigate to my location.  A picture was via text message so I knew who would be arriving.  Garrison was extra knowledgeable, and was able to troubleshoot, and fix the problem faster than I expected.  My home is super cold now!  Yay!  We are ready for summer!

-On a side note, the offer Veteran's discount!   WOOT!  Yayah!  EOMFD!

Used them several times and was way overcharged. They look good and professional however in speaking to several of the techs, some are limited in their knowledge. The owners are not professional and although they might arrive quick, their charging is the most expensive around. Plumbing and heating companies are all over the area and I would  not recommend nor use these people!  They are way over priced.

Despite a friendly and cordial receptionist, I have to say we will never use these guys again. We had a non emergency plumbing issue. Fair enough. They booked us a week out, even though we were stuck drinking bottled water in the meantime. That was fine.
The day of our appt., however, they called to say they had a plumbing emergency and would not be able to keep their appointment. And then, they scheduled us another WEEK out. Wait...What? Seriously? They are supposed to be open 24 hours. As a courtesy and just common business sense, schedule our job for after hours.
We said no thanks, called Master Plumbers and their team was out the next day.
I have NO idea where all these positive reviews are coming from.  This is without a doubt the most unprofessional service we have dealt with in the Triad.

This morning I woke up and found that I had no water, not a trickle.  After making some rudimentary checks, I decided that I would need a professional.  I called Go Green  Plumbing emergency number and they promptly called me back.  I explained my problem and they quoted me their service rates and I told them to come over.  The serviceman arrived promptly and made a few checks of my system and informed me that it was only a pressure valve to my relief.  He replaced the part and checked the operation of my system, cleaned up afterwards and I was a happy camper.
The serviceman was prompt, friendly, courteous, neat, and very informative.
In this day of scams and gouging it is truly great dealing with professionals who value customer service.

They say you can't put a price on peace of mind, but I can! Around $25 a month for my membership with Go Green Plumbing Heating and Air! They've done tons of work for us over the last few years and every single time they've been above expectation! No questions left unanswered,  no work left undone- from scheduling to completion,  each experience was stress free. Mitch even made it a point to be sure and check back in with us to be sure our water filtration/softener system was performing as it should.  If I could give them 10 stars, every single day, I would!

We had the kind of luck moving into our new/old house where the water heater died on us on Day ONE! Did a google search, and these guys were the first that popped up to service the area. They came on an emergency call, replaced the water heater with a new one, identified the old one was installed incorrectly as well, so they installed the new one up to code. They also took the time to give us estimates and recommendations for any possible updates/fixes we might want to do, but they did not pressure us to do so. They also informed us that the main shutoff valve to the entire house was under the crawl space (brilliant!), so we had them extend the shutoff to the outside where it is more easily accessible.
They were friendly and professional the entire time. I'm sorry I don't remember the techs' names, but they ended up spending 5 hours here doing these fixes, as well as dropping the PSI to the house to a recommended level. They put on bootie footwear every time they come in the house and laid down protective layering to not scratch up the floors either. I would go with them again.

I was extremely disappointed and will NOT use them again and will definitely tell others to stay away. First, they refused to install another bathroom sink because it was not a brand new sink that we wanted to have you install. Next, they also provided an outrageously high quote to install a brand new toilet partly because we have an older home and may need a flange. Now I am out $63 for their service charge and they did absolutely nothing in the 10 to 15 minutes they were at my home.

It's hard to find a problem with this company. They are courteous, knowledgeable and fair. It's not cheap but as my father always said, you get what you pay for Ereka.  This visit makes the second time I've used their services (for two unrelated jobs) in roughly three years or so. Ironically, Josh was my tech or plumber each time.  He remembered us, was pleasant as ever and very tactful when essentially calling a spade a spade when I told him how we ended up needing his service this time.  I appreciate this team of professionals and while I hope we never need them again, I'm glad to know they are around.

My kids call Go Green and Nate their guardian angels now! Choosing a service company for my house is a daunting task. I researched and decided to try Go Green. Service Tech Nate came out and did a thorough inspection of the crawl space, explaining what I needed and why it my drain pipe was flooding. I asked Nate if he could look at my sump pump because our water heater keeps shutting off with all the rain and flooding and my non-mechanical husband keeps relighting it.

His reaction was quick and professional. He immediately went under that part of the house. The smell of gas was alarming. He calmly instructed me not to turn anything on or off, etc. He found the gas leak on the water heater and shut off the gas. Gas company came and checked exterior lines also. I was a nervous wreck. Nate remained calm and spoke to me about options. Not once did he say I had to purchase with Go Green. I was near tears and he just listened as I processed everything out loud. He said it was important for me and my children to be safe, get all the fumes out etc.

I did purchase a tankless water heater to avoid any future flooding issues. Nate stayed until almost 11 pm that night to make sure my family had hot water. Pete, the owner of Go Green came and assisted him during the evening. I offered to have them come back the next day but they wanted to make sure my children and I were in a home that was safe, with hot water and I could laundry without foooding the house, if needed.

Nate came back the next day and checked everything thoroughly. He showed me how to operate the new water heater, showed me the new plumbing under the house and even answered a completely unrelated plumbing question about an upstairs toilet.

It was a totally unexpected expense. Go Green presented 4-5 options with a total price. That price is what you pay, completely. Not a penny more. I truly appreciated that but I can't put a price on my family. As strong as the gas smell was, as my father said, you have a guardian angel watching over you. I consider Nate and Go Green part of our guardian angel team now. Sounds silly maybe but I am so very grateful I chose them.

What an amazing company! They went above and beyond to help me when my water heater broke! Joe, the technician that came to fix the water heater was fabulous! He was so knowledgeable and so nice!! it definitely shows how much they care for their customers! thank you for all that you do!!

Horrible customer service! Called at 11:30 in the morning on 11-25-303 to request a service call for a washing machine valve that is spraying water out of it. I was told they would get someone right out. Got a call at 3:45 in which they proceeded to tell me they couldn't get someone out until next Wednesday at 8 am. I wasted four hours that I could have using to find someone who could come actually fix the issue. Do yourself a favor and call anyone else in town other than these folks. Emergencies for you are clearly not one for them. When I asked for a manager I got a rude response of how they were training someone new and that is how things go with them. What a joke. I would not call them again if they were the last plumber in Greensboro.

This review is entirely based on an estimate for running a gas line that I felt at the time was frankly outrageous. First things first, the tech was professional and customer service was top notch. That said, we needed to run a gas line for a new stove. It required running a new line from the meter into the house. Without going into unnecessary details of exactly what was required we got an estimate from Go Green of about $3,300. There would be a permit, inspection, materials and labor. I figured the labor was maybe a days work for one guy. It seemed to me they were charging at least twice what that job should have cost. The tech called in and they were willing to take 10% off which took the price down to about $3,000. I passed. We got Piedmont Natural Gas out and running the line the exact same way was quoted at $991.31. It broke out as $75 for the permit, $227.48 for materials and $630 for labor (about a days worth, or less) and $57.88 for tax. The materials and permit shout be about the same in either case which means the difference is in labor. $600 versus $2,600, more than 4 times the rate. I don't know if this is indicative of their pricing and I will never find out because I won't call them again. I have a few rental properties and we have had numerous pluming issues over the years. Some companies work on building a relationship with a customer and they get the repeat business. Some companies they to get all they can with each transaction even if it costs them repeat business. I think this company falls closer to the later category. The company we usually use for our rental places is out of commission due to Covid. Maybe a missed opportunity for Go Green.

On 10.15.2020 I had Go Green Heating and Air service my two heating units!  The service was outstanding!!!  The technician was outstanding with his knowledge of my units as well as other brand units that he's familiar with and which the he has worked on.  He was professional, well mannered, honest and clear in explaining the parts and the functions of the heating system.  Today,  I am a new customer to Go Green Plumbing Heating And Air. I googled them, compared them with other companies, read their reviews, took a chance and called them.  I lucked up with an excellent choice.  I also signed up for a membership plan.  I had two parts changed out today and I was not taken advantage of.  A little over $300.00 total for a piece of mind. I am very satisfied with the service today, the technician is on point, and I recommend them to you!!!

Twas the Monday before Christmas, and all through the house, not a creature was stirring, except for the mysterious specter of a huge water bill and a spinning water meter, even when our main water shut off was closed.

I left a voice mail for Go Green, and Pete Green called me right back.  Pete and his technician, Josh, came over right away and set me up with a temporary water line to circumvent the leaking water service line, thereby stopping the leak, and keeping me with water service throughout the holidays.  As soon as the weather cleared up, Pete and Josh came right out and dug the trench for the new water service line.  They had everything installed in one day.  As soon as the city inspector approved the work, they filled in the trench, leveled out the soil, planted grass seed, and covered it with straw.  The whole job took only two days.  Throughout the process, Go Green's communication was prompt and clear, their behavior was professional and courteous, and the quality of their work was top notch.

I hope I don't need a plumber again soon; but if I do, I will definitely call Go Green.

Pete Green is the best plumber I've ever had. He's neat, he respects your home, your furniture, and everything else he needs to work around while fixing your plumbing issues. They are very professional. They work quickly but efficiently. Most importantly the job is done right, and you don't have to worry about it.

Nice guys... very professional.  However, did NOT correct our issue... charged us over $300 for NOT solving issue.  Wanted to charge us $1000+ to do more exploratory work.  Hired local guy to come out next day -- found blockage, cleared it, cleaned up mess... charged us $100.  Made us very skeptical of Go Green, despite their advertising and fancy trucks.  Go elsewhere.

We recently hired Pete and Go Green Plumbing to replace our ailing water pump.  They brought out the new pump, discovered that the old pump was never up to handling the depth of the well, so they upgraded the new pump to a higher horsepower. They installed the pump and everything was great.  Pete answered a lot of questions along the way.  This story should end here but it doesn't.  It just so happened that the new pump was somehow defective. It became apparent a few days after it was installed.  It was at this point that Pete Green and Go Green Plumbing really proved their worth.  Sometimes a perfectly good piece of equipment fails after it's installed; it just happens, but instead of getting the run-around about it, Pete came out, installed a new replacement pump, just happened to discover a non-related issue with our water heater and fixed that free of charge. It's nice to know that Pete Green  and the Go Green Plumbing team not only do great great work, but they are also responsible and go the extra mile to make sure all their customers are happy. Our new pump works great and we won't hesitate to call Go Green Plumbing in the future.
