Reviews
This company was a referral from Duke Energy. They responded quickly and gave me a pretty quick appointment (just a few days later). The gentlemen who came to my door were very nice. Then the nightmare began. They quoted me $5,400 to change a line, which the guy told me would be 4-5 hours worth of work. Do they make $1000/hour?!? Or if 2 guys, do they make $500/hour?!?
I was also told that the work they ultimately needed to do would cost $18,000-24,000. What a waste of time and money ($59 fee for coming out, and I'm no closer to getting the line replaced).
Do your research--just because Duke Energy refers them does not mean they are ethical or remotely realistic.
Oh, and per the other reviews, yes, they try really hard to sell you on their annual program which is yet another to milk you for more money.
Needed to relocate an outlet in my kitchen to get a new dishwasher installed. Booked an appointment. They called the night before the scheduled appointment to say they had an emergency and would not be able to come out. Had to cancel my plumber who was waiting to get the power supply moved. I suspect they had a bigger job they wanted to take care of instead of keeping their comitment to me.
Like most people, having home repairs is not at the top of my list of favorite things. While in the process of selling my house the inspector found an issue that needed to be addressed with my natural gas plumbing in my attic. I had heard of Aurora Pro Services so I gave them a call and from start to finish I had a great experience.
The representative who I spoke with to make the appointment was very friendly, professional and thorough. She made sure she understood the issue so the appropriate person would arrive. Prior to the appointment I received a reminder in case I needed to reschedule. The before the technician arrived at my house I received a text message with the gentleman's name and picture so I would know exactly who to expect. I really appreciated this safety feature as well as the tech arriving on time. When Anthony arrived he was very polite and professional. He wore a mask for COVID precautions and shoe covers. He was able to assess the situation, explained to me the time frame and cost before he proceeded. When the job was completed and Anthony provided pictures that I requested and made sure I was pleased with his work. I received a phone call after he left from another representative making sure I was completely satisfied.
Overall I was very impressed with Aurora Pro Services' customer service and how the job was completed. I feel that the price was reasonable for the task and if I need future repairs I will be giving Aurora a call.
Twice Aurora came out to my house to check my well because our water is orange. After their first visit, no one got back to me with the results of our water test, so I wrote them a bad review. Then I got a call from a manager who apologized and gave me a free one year inspection program where they sent someone out to my house to check things like my roof, electrical, and oh ya, MY WELL.
The second guy they sent told me the water test showed my water was fine. So, both times Aurora sent someone out to tell me why my well water was orange I was told that I just needed to put in a $6500.00 water conditioner.
Well, my Well is not fine. I shouldn't have orange water and I shouldn't have to go through water filters every couple of weeks.
Well, now today I am having a sleeve installed inside my well because the casing is rusty and full of holes AND the pump is full of the orange dirt we have in this state.
So, Aurora, you missed out on about a $5k job!!! Oh but you probably would have charged me twice that! Don't bother calling me again.

Trust is worth more than gold. That comes to mind when wanting to talk about this company because i believe them to be very trustworthy.
When I heard Aurora ProServices promotion on the radio offering a free roof inspection with no obligation, I thought yeah, right. I was concerned about two shingles on my roof that looked like they were buckling. I imagined that whoever came out to inspect would find a way to turn that into a big sale. We senior ladies--I'm 80--are easily frightened. I was wrong.
The person who inspected--his name was Alvaro-(Al for short)--checked and saw that the shingles were ok. But, while he was there he checked the rest of the roof and said all looked good. Al was very polite. Took time to explain. He was also on time.
So Aurora Proservices meant what they said in their ad. The Inspection was totally free, no obligation. And no searching for or creating a problem. (And anyone reading this probably knows what I'm talking about.)
The company also provides services for HVAC, Electricity, Plumbing. Needless to say. should there be any problems at this senior ladies home, Aurora ProServices is definitely my first , and only, choice for whatever needs to be done. Thank you Aurora Pros.

We were charged $317 to snake a tub drain for 1 hour of work. The service tech was personable and capable, and it was our choice to pay the estimate, of course. But we were told the estimate was high to cover the chance that a pipe would burst when they snaked the tub. That did not happen. The problem was a simple clog. The owner of the company offered no price adjustment. Egregious price gouging.

Their staff was very informative and kind when speaking on the phone. They explained the process to ease my mind and the finished project assured me that this company is the best at what they do!

I had them come out and give me an estimate to change out four light fixtures add a receptacle in the bathroom and move a light fixture in a box and install. They wanted $5400 to do this. I installed the four light fixtures in an hour and 20 minutes.I'd also purchased the lights prior to their arrival for this project . They basically wanted $900 a fixture which is very unreasonable. It took me 15 to 20 minutes per fixture to install. And I'm not an electrician.
I needed to replace two pop-up sink drains and a pop-up tub drain in my kids bathroom which had begun to rust. Aurora sent out a tech to take a look. He then provided an estimate for this relatively small job which totaled nearly $1900.00. He also offered a second estimate for over $3,100 if I wanted him to replace the two sink faucets as well - this estimate was not requested as nothing was wrong with the faucets. Needless to say, I declined. I then had to pay $95 for his service call to provide this estimate.
After he left, I called another plumber referred to me by a friend. That plumber came out the following day and did the whole job, including parts, for $300. Yes - the estimate from Aurora WAS MORE THAN SIX TIMES AS MUCH.
It is safe to say I will not be calling this company again.
The plumber did prioritize us since we had no water and very nice man but to make a long story short he came up with all kinds of costly solutions to get my water running again we finally got down to a solution. First he said he could take the filter off at the well and see if that worked and if not it would have to be the filter on the water softner, then about 10-15 later he said that he could take both off. I had forgotten that he had said prior to that he could do one at a time as a process of elimination.
At this point I just want my water on the this guy gone so I said yes please just get my water back on. Later I thought about it and remember at first it was one at a time so why he jumped to doing both without checking in between to eliminate one or the other to me was just to run the bill up.
I received a survey via email and thought about it for awhile and finally decide to complete the it and say how I felt, sent it off. So this morning I get a call from the owner basically telling me how I'm wrong and the plumber was a professional, etc., when I told him no I wasn't a plumber but I know what the guy said, then he tells me his plumber doesn't lie, so apparently I'm a liar...
I will never use Aurora Pro Services again.

I don't have a review based on their services because I never got serviced.
Let me start by saying I called this company based off the reviews they had on a couple search engines. My issue is in simple form, I have a popcorn ceiling at a church I Pastor that I need scrapped and redone. May need some Sheetrock replaced due to a leak and a beam I need to know if it's structural cause it's cracking.
I called on a Thursday and spoke to an amazing customer service rep, I believe her name was Anna but I'm not 100% sure, anyway, she was great. I explained my issue in detail and she said she would send my call to Oscar and he'd call me between 3:30 and 4 and that was fine for me.
I then received a text message saying that we would meet at the location between 3-5. I called back just to confirm I was expecting a call at not an on site visit. 'Anna' agreed, explained, and we hung up.
At 3:55 Oscar called. We spoke briefly and he asked if he could call me back after 5 so we could speak in greater detail because he was on a job. I didn't have a problem with that but he never called.
I called back on Friday and spoke to 'Anna' again around 3pm. Still no call from Oscar. She was very apologetic and as nice as could be. Someone any company would love to have on their team. She tried to get him on the phone while I was on the line but he didn't answer. She said she would speak to him personally and make sure he called that day. Well, it's now Sunday and no call was ever received.
I gave two stars because of 'Anna'. She deserves 5. Nevertheless, Oscar didn't do the company any good. The ironic thing is that something happened at my personal residence over the weekend that I now need more work. Unfortunately due to Oscar, this company has lost my business at the church and now a second job at my home plus they have this review bad review.
No, I cannot recommend this company.

Not approved by this Grandmother. We had this company come out to give an estimate on installing a gas cooktop. We understood the estimate would cost $90. As soon as the staff members, who were polite and came on time, entered our home they were encouraging us to sign up with Aurora for a comprehensive annual program. Their estimate for installing the cooktop was almost $1,900 (they said it would be discounted to about $1,600 if we signed on for the annual program). Both prices were preposterously high. Because we do not have piles of money to burn, we contacted a local appliance repair company who did the job beautifully for a total of $350 including parts. So we had the work done for about 20% of what Aurora wanted. I cannot see who would use this company unless they fall for a sales pitch that will cost them dearly.
Recently needed HVAC/plumbing services to come out and shore up an issue with our house inspection. Aurora was easy to book and promptly came out to take a look and fix the issue.
The two crewman that came out were very courteous and professional. Safety first and were able to resolve our issue in a timely manner, also pretty much giving us advice on what the best action to take not only with them, but going forward. Highly recommended.
They wanted over $630 PER LIGHT FIXTURE to hang. They wasted more than 1/2 day me waiting then them spending almost an hour getting a quote together. You could have knocked me over with a feather. You must be kidding.
Fantastic company. I always feel confident sending my clients to Aurora because I know they will be cared for and treated fairly.
This is a very dishonest company!! Read complaints filed with BBB. Aurora ripped me off-lesson learned....just trying to save others from getting screwed over.
