I own a 10 chair hair salon with 3 shampoo bowls in Matthews, NC. We
kept getting water that was seeping under one of our shampoo bowls. We had other plumbers come into the salon, saying it was our supply lines, we replaced those and the water kept coming. I was not pleased with the plumbers and my husband heard a commercial on the radio about AAA plumbing. We called, made an appointment and Jeremey was sent out. Jeremey came in and immediately put a camera under our bowl and identified the problem in less than 5 minutes. He said our pipes were cracked because the foundation had settled. We had to close for 2 days, they had to tear out the concrete under the 3 bowls and repair the pipes, it was fixed in 2 days. We have had no issues at all since.
We will to continue to use AAA for all our plumbing needs!!

AAA City Plumbing 704 544-1909 / 803 327-5171 Technician Waide replaced my kitchen faucet. He arrived on schedule, worked very efficiently & neatly. The faucet works & I am quite satisfied. I highly receommend AAA City Plumbing and ASK For WAIDE!!!
Just a follow up to my below review; I got a nice call from Shane and AAA circling back and trying to remedy the situation. Thank you AAA, its much appreciated. Grateful for the follow up, incidents happen but its how we respond to those service issues. Thank you!
Stephan came out he was very professional the pricing was reasonable I am very happy with the time it took him for him to complete the job
Update: They called and refunded 139.00 fee, that is the least they can do.
BECAREFUL! They will quote one price and charge another once they get your credit card info. I would recommend you get a price in writing before. I had a septic tank inspected and they had difficulty locating the tank. I was charged 139.00 service fee, but was told it would be deducted from the full 389 service fee if they came back out and located the tank. In the end, was charged 295.00 to pull a toilet and reseal it, use a camera to locate the septic tank. Then the FULL 389 fee to inspect the tank. They didn't deduct the 139.00 from the full fee. Did they call me to let me know? Explain this? NO, they simply charged my card and no info was sent to me. I would not recommend them at ALL.

These guys are a crock!!!!! My washer was running, which resulted in my downstairs toilet overflowing and leaving 3 inches of water on my floor. My landlord called these guys to come out, and before they even came inside the house, quoted over $3000 to fix the problem. He said he didn't need to go inside to diagnose it. I would think that a reliable plumber would want to come in and check out the entire problem, not just a problem from the outside. And when I asked him could he put a mask on, his response was very rude and ugly and said he didn't wear those things, and I told him he was not allowed in my house without one. He rudely told me he didn't need to come inside and proceeded to try to tell me that the tree in the front yard was probably the reason that the pipe was backed up and or potentially broken. I let him deal with my landlord
For the rest of the evening, because he was extremely rude. I don't think that snaking or jet pulsing a pipe should cost $3200. Please don't use these people. Their price gauging and will try to get every little bit of money out of you that they can. And their employees are extremely rude.
Received a quote to install a new dishwasher for $450. (Which is more than the cost of the dishwasher itself!) I could have afforded an army of elves to wash my dishes by hand for that price. Ended up contracting a handyman to do it for $150. No unusual piping issues.

AAA Plumbing redid all of my pipes (I have an old house) for several thousand less than the big guys. They stayed well last dark to ensure that I had water for that night and then finished up in the morning. They've had to come out for unrelated plumbing issues and as a previous customer they waived the diagnostic fee. I recommended them to my friend up the street and she had the same great experience! Five stars!
I called AAA thinking a smaller company would be more reasonable than a larger company like Rotor Rooter even though my first instinct was to call Rotor Rooter.
Jim came was pleasant however told me he wasn't able to open my drain and it would cost me between $2500-$5800 depending on where the blockage was. He didn't have equipment with him to locate the clog nor did he have a camera to see what the clog was. Paid $335 for that news. It would have been more had I not had an online coupon.
I called the dreaded Rotor Rooter and not only did they open the drain in less than 30 minutes, they costed less, only $300. They were able to locate the blockage and the fix will only be the tune of $1700. Because he had proper equipment to locate the problem area he knew how deep and where it was located. I was advised that I should have only been charged a service call fee verses the fee for the service that was not performed. Seeing that if they weren't able to perform I would have only been charged $70.
I talked with Tim the general manager and he said he would talk with the owner. That has been almost two weeks and he will not return my phone call now. I know we think that the bigger company may cost us more but it's not the case with Rotor Rooter. They give free estimates with upfront pricing. They show you the price list so you know the price you are charged verses a ball park figure.
Needless to say I will never refer nor use AAA again.
Price Gouging! I am very unhappy with AAA City Plumbing's pricing for my recent plumbing issue. I was charged $2,200 to snake, jet, and put a camera through my sewer pipe, which I believe is above the market rate for this type of service. Furthermore, the cost AAA City Plumbing quoted me to replace the piece of broken pipe in my yard was $2,300 (additional). I ultimately found another plumber who replaced the broken pipe it for only $1,000. AAA City Plumbing wanted to charge me more than double that ($2,300)! They also told me that I needed to get the repair done within a week, when the other plumber told me that I really could have waited a few months to make a decision! It seems like they tried to make it seem like it was an emergency, so that I would pay their outrageous $2,300 price. I suspect they took advantage of me because I was a single female homeowner. I will not use them again, and I warn others to stay away. Using them was a very expensive mistake.
Update: the owner contacted me after I wrote this review and refunded me $600, bringing the cost down to $1,600. The owner was apologetic for his employee overcharging me, so I do give him credit for that. However, please note that had I not posted this negative review, I would not have gotten that refund. (Before deciding to write this review, I had already called AAA City Plumbing and asked to speak to the owner, but they would only let me speak to a manager, who said that the original price I was charged was the correct price, and they would not do anything to adjust the price.)

TLDR: Work was good, service was quick friendly, price seems high and he said the $150 coupon on the website was included in the quoted price, 3% credit card fee is dumb. Would suggest shopping around, wish I had.
They came same day and replaced our water heater. They did not give price beforehand over the phone but were able to give it 30 seconds into looking at the old water heater, that was a little frustrating. Service man was nice but the price seems steep now that I have looked around more. FYI: $2,550 for a 40 gallon water heater replacement and the $150 coupon on the site was allegedly included in that. Receipt did not break out charges. What drove me to Yelp this is that when I went to pay there was a 3% credit card fee...I understand the need for that at a 7/11 but that seems ridiculous for a larger expense.
UPDATE: I was annoyed by the 3% charge so I called the main line and asked generally if they charge anything extra to use a credit card. She said No. I advised that I had been charged 3% yesterday and she said Yes, that is what we charge for credit card. When confronted on the instantaneous change she said that Well, we don't tell everyone that. Shady. Updated rating from 2 to 1 star.
UPDATE #2: Saw response from the business. Don't agree with their assertion that the operator lied about the 3% charge so that a plumber could discuss payment options but I appreciate their response regardless. Per above, service was quick and well done and the warranty is good but concerns still linger about billing practices. Updated to two stars.

Well water is the reason why three companies I called before this one said they couldn't help us. I thought I'll be charged extra. What I received was excellent service, technician came earlier then promised. He fixed my old water pump without pressuring replacement, gave us good description of the problem and how to avoid it. One hour. $169
Jake and Kieth came out this afternoon and pumped our septic system, they were on time and took the time to explain whgat they were doing. They helped us figure out an issue with our system. Great guys.

These guys are great! They fit us in on spur of the moment and saved Thanksgiving. We have worked with them before and they and have never disappointed! Prompt, professional and do a great job.

I didn't particularly care for having an appointment time that turned out to be meaningless but the work did finally get started and completed and we're very satisfied. The tech, Michael was very easy going and clearly wanted to do what was in our best interest. The work wasn't cheap but excellent work rarely is!

If you want quick timely service for septic tank emergencies this is your company! Experienced a horrible backed up septic tank that had not been emptied in many years. Thanks to John and Thomas's knowledge and hard work our issues were fixed in no time. Very friendly and funny gentleman too. The pricing was very reasonable as well!!!

**UPDATE 1/7/17** I was contacted by the owner of the company who confirmed that I was charged too much for the amount of work done. He apologized for the misunderstanding, and advised me that the recently hired plumber sent to the house made a mistake on the charge. He gave me a refund of $350.00. I have updated my rating to three stars because at least the owner cares enough about his business to rectify a mistake.
**UNREASONABLE PRICING**. I was charged $729 for removing a toilet and unclogging the toilet drain. Work that I found out the next day should of cost at most $450.00
I called AAA City plumbing based on good reviews. I had an emergency plumbing issue with my rental property on New Years day. Over the phone I was quoted at $139 for a plumber to come out and assess the issue. Upon arriving and assessing the issue I was then quoted at $769.00 to remove a toilet and unclog the drain using an electric rooter. Unfortunately, because of the $139 assessment fee I thought I would lose if I didn't take care of the issue right then and there, and because this was my rental property which required more immediate attention I hesitantly agreed to what seemed to an unreasonably high price for the amount of work to be done. The technician was at my rental for approximately 45 minutes at most. Thinking I had been charged to much, I decided to call a few other plumbing companies in the area to check comparisons on the work done and get a price range for this type of work. I was quoted between $200-$450 by three different companies. The most expensive estimate was based on what the plumber told me was worst case scenario. I called AAA City Plumbing to discuss what appeared to be either a mistake in pricing or gauging due to the holiday. They advised me that this was their price and failed to provide me with an itemized bill of the work that was done.
They charge a trip fee and won't offer any estimate on the phone. They work on a 'flat rate' and you won't know what that is until they get there. And now I know why.
Their rates are extremely high. And, of course, you have to pay the trip charge if you don't let them do the work.
I believe they refer to this as a 'bait and switch' scheme.
Why not tell a client what hourly rate your 'flat fees' are based on? Had I known they charge $150-200/hr. I never would have authorized a trip to our house. It's a bit dodgy.
I learned my lesson. Know the hourly rate before getting someone to come out. All of this work is based on the hourly rate and some companies like to pad their hourly rates in case their employee is not as fast as the market.
I do not recommend this company. Call around and work with someone that won't hide behind a 'flat rate' billing system.

Jim was great!! Professional and quick and knowledgeable! Made suggestions that were helpful but not pushy. Price point was doable as well- not as much as some other places I researched.

Pros: Came out same day. Technician took literally 5 minutes to do the water heater repair, and repair was professionally completed. Another 25 minutes for paperwork. Both tech and office staff were friendly and courteous.
Cons: $195 charge for a 5 minute repair job (included a $15 part). When I called for a price breakdown, I was told I could expect one via email. Never received. Owner made one attempt to return my call, but did not return other calls when requested. Later, I was told there is no price breakdown as the job had a flat rate. I was told, in fact, the tech UNDER-charged me and should have charged over $300 for that 5 minute job. I was sent a $25 refund as I was told the tech should have offered their typical $25 coupon. When I received the check, it had an incorrect first name listed. The bank still deposited it. I do appreciate that.
I don't mind paying for a professional's time and expertise. What took him 5 minutes would have taken me 30. However, I believe $170, $195 and over $300 were all excessive for the work done. I would have thought $100 would have been more in line for that job. If $300 is what plumbers charge for a few minutes work, then so be it. But, I better understand why people try to do the work themselves.
I called AAA as a friend had used them. I'll be checking around for a different company later.
This is the second time using AAA and I had the same experience the first time. I called AAA Plumbing for a small leak. My problem was treated with the same importance as if I had called in with a larger, more profitable one. An appointment was set for that day by a very pleasant and professional office member, the technician came out on time and solved the problem quickly and efficiently at a fair price. It doesn't get better than that.
Very Expensive :
I just had the plumbing service from them. The technician is good and well behaved.
But they charged me heavily & without having to spend on any spare parts, I would prefer to look else where for better pricing.

Who would have thought having a plumber come because you have a leak would be an enjoyable experience!! From the moment I picked up the phone, everything went far better than I could have asked for! The wonderful customer service to schedule a same day appointment to the outstanding TRUTHFUL plumber, couldn't have been better. I was told my leak could have been two things and it ended being both!! Everything was fixed quickly and with respect to my house! They have made a customer for life!! Thanks again David!!

They pumped our septic tanks for cheaper than anyone else we contacted. They were very nice and efficient. I'll definitely be calling them in the future for any of our septic tank needs.
We were very happy with the service we received. It's never fun when your water line busts. However the fixed it right away and for a reasonable price. We would use them again
Run the other way! I I've had the unfortunate opportunity to work with this company through my home warranty and I can't even begin to mention the headache and aggravation that I've had to go through to get a simple plumbing issue fixed.
We called in the morning and same day our problem was fixed! The service from start to finish was excellent. The technician, Telvin was professional and not only fixed the problem but talked through and advised clearly the problem and proper maintenance for the future. We would definitely use AAA City Plumbing for any future work we have; while recommending the company to friends and family. 100% service!

Do not use this company! They are a rip-off! I had read some of the reviews about them being overpriced but they were the only people that could come out around lunch when called at 8:00. I needed to have a faucet replaced in my shower as it would not turn off. They came out to the house and quoted me $250 to fix the part. I agreed because I had gone home to to meet the guy and had no other option other than to pay the ridiculous $39 fee just to have him look at it and leave. I was shocked when the plumber walked out 12 minutes after arrival and said he was all done. How does someone charge $250 for 12 minutes of work???? Do yourself a favor and pick someone else!
