Hands down, Warren is the BEST electrician!

I had a very tricky situation where I needed a LICENSED electrician to do work on my circuit box so I could close an open electrical permit on my property. After calling Electrician Techs multiple times, as well as another electrician and getting no follow through, I called Warren and wow I am glad I did.

He was very communicative and helpful with my situation from the start, and he took my complicated job that no one else would take! He was very sympathetic and kind to my situation (trying to close this impossible permit so I could sell my property, while being pregnant). He is licensed so he can deal with DOB permitting, unlike some of the other electricians working in the field, who are apparently unlicensed! He was very experienced and knowledgeable about the DOB and how to successfully pass inspection.

Warren also involved me and asked my judgment at every step of the process, which put me at ease and was actually pretty fun. He shows respect for you as a client and as a human being, which is so rare and lovely to encounter in this context.

He was always on time and communicative via phone and text, and pretty funny too. He got the impossible job done quickly enough for my property sale, while minimizing stress for me. Needless to say, we PASSED the DOB inspection, which was incredible.

I would definitely recommend Warren's services and will be using him again in the future!

A few months ago, my building super knocked on my door to tell me there was a water leak inside the wall behind my sink that was dripping down to the apt below. He said it was the building pipes and not my responsibility, but that they would have to chop open the wall under my sink. He said they would patch it and repair any problems from the leak.

They chopped a big hole in the wall under my sink, fixed the pipes, patched the wall, but the outlets in that area stopped working - turns out water and electricity don't mix! (Who knew?)

The building management company insisted that the non-working outlets (and dishwasher on the same circuit) had nothing to do with the leak or chopped open wall, but that they would send their own electrician to fix it and I would have to pay him.

I told them if I had to pay an electrician, I would hire my own, so I hired Warren. He is a licensed electrician and he came and fixed the problem and wrote me a receipt to send to the management company...and they reimbursed me, Yah!

FYI: He is a nice man, but no licensed electrician (or plumber) in NYC is cheap - but you get what you pay for!

The picture is of the hole the super chopped in the brick wall under my sink, that outlet is one of the outlets that stopped working, either from the water dripping on it or from the super pounding with a hammer around it, but it works now....thanks Warren!

Warren is a great electrician! His quote for the work was reasonable and accurate (no upcharges later). He was easy to communicate with and was able to stop by within a day of reaching out! We'll definitely save his info for any future work we need done. We had him replace an exterior outlet that was rusty and at least 40 years old. He got the outlet up to code, water proofed it, and cleaned out all the old rust. Highly recommend!

I hired Warren to do some electrical work for my new A/C units.  This required drilling into walls, fishing wires and climbing ladders.  He was timely, efficient, friendly, and professional from beginning til end.  

But what stood out about him is this guys is honest.  He will tell you exactly what you need to know and he's friendly about it.  This guy has manners and he knows how to act in your house.  He wiped his shoes and took them off before he came in.  Who does that anymore???  He took his time and did everything he was supposed to and then some.  And then when he was done he asked what else I needed.  Warren is a go to guy if you want someone to do a honest days work.

I've had some great success with Yelp, when it comes to getting good recommendations. I've found excellent Contractors and roofers, restaurants and hotels...
On the most part, Yelp's recommendations are better for quality than price, but I'm a big believer in that old saying you get what you pay for, so in general I'm ok with that

Now Warren, the electrician I found, again through Yelp, might be a little of both good quality and decent price.  Warren doesn't necessarily charge less than other electricians, but he is really honest. I've had other electricians give me quotes on work that I was told I needed. Those quotes were really high. But Warren immediately saw the real issue and saved me hundreds of dollars.  
Warren likes to chat, so be ready for that. And if I had any criticism of his work, it would be that he's almost too thorough in narrowing down what the problem might be. But you can rest assured that his candor is a plus and you'll end up paying less and getting more.

Warren did our small job professionally and was extremely friendly. The friendly part was very important for my 91-year-old mother, she was immediately at her ease with him in her house. When he finished the job he asked if there was anything else and my mother did think of another electrical fixture that needed repair - which he took care of right away. But he wasn't pushy, he did only the work we asked for and he told us exactly what he was doing and what our options were at each step.

I'd recommend that he identify himself when he picks up the phone (Hello! This is Warren. How may I help you? or something similar) and carry more small replacement parts with him. Other than that, perfect service at a fair price and I'm very glad I picked him to do our work. I'll definitely contact him the next time my mother's home needs electrical work.

Warren takes pride in his work and truly cares about a job getting done correctly and making sure his clients are happy. Warren has a great attitude, is responsive and flexible, and does high quality work. 5 stars all around.

Messaged Warren on Yelp late at night, got a response in 5 minutes. He came in the early morning. He fixed & replaced the circuit breakers while giving us a lesson. He was hysterical, real funny, down to Earth guy. Likes to chat about random things, reminded me of Doc Brown from Back to the Future. Will keep him in my phone book for any future problems!

Just finished up with Warren coming to our small building for a major issue with partial outage as well as Con Ed not taking responsibility for things until they spoke to him. Responsiveness seemed too good to be true, but wasn't. Very fair price, outstanding professionalism and most importantly, a ton of integrity. HOA will be calling him for future work, without a doubt.

Warren installed a chandelier over our dining room table yesterday. His work is top notch. He is a perfectionist and really cares about the quality of his work. Installing the chandelier required him to make small notches in the wall. He went through painstaking lengths to make sure that everything was patched up and looking great before he left. Other electricians we spoke to did not show this level of care, as they expected someone else to patch up the holes. Warren also made sure that all of our floor and nearby furniture was protected.

Warren is also very friendly and knowledgable. We couldn't have asked for a better experience! We will definitely reach out to him again if we need help with any future electrical jobs.

Warren responded to a request for a minor electrical issue very promptly and offered his phone number. My husband gave him the details of the issue and he offered free advice over the phone, which ended up fixing the problem. He easily could have charged us for a visit. Warren was also super friendly! Based on this interaction alone, we plan to use him in the future if other issues arise.

Warren is a highly skilled and responsive electrician. His work was impeccable, his price was reasonable and he is honestly the nicest man you could ever hope to meet. I'll definitely be calling him again in the future.

Warren's great! He replied right away, came the next day, and fixed everything very quick. He's efficient and charismatic My new go-to guy.

Warren knows his trade and is straightforward, prompt, and friendly. I requested a quote on a Thursday night and received an immediate response. We agreed on a Monday evening appointment and he arrived early and all the work was done in less than an hour. Thankfully my issues weren't major (needed a new switch and a new breaker). Warren also talked us through everything he was doing. He's also a lively conversationalist otherwise. As another reviewer mentioned, my elderly mother also liked him. Working with him was a breeze. I also requested a quote from another highly rated electrician and they were noncommittal with setting up an appointment, shady about their licensure, and told me over the phone that my problems sounded like a Con Ed problem (like how do you know that over the phone??) Hopefully I don't have any more electrical issues but if I do, I'll be calling Warren again.

This horrendous review is long over due.  I paid Warren Johnson a total of  $2500 for electrical work.  He took my money, and didn't so much as screw in a light bulb for me!  He gave me the run around too by never showing up for several planned appointments.  I HAVE A NOTICE OF A COURT JUDGEMENT stipulating he owes me $2670 ( including interest and fees).  I would love to be able to post a photo of that on Yelp too. WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO PAY THIS JUDGEMENT, Mr Johnson?  Shame on you!  On a separate matter, I just found this on google too in the DBA website which stated he was fined for working with unlicensed electricians too. Hmmm.

Warren is a real find. A pro with a big personality.

He came all the way up to Upper Manhattan today to help me replace a 220 volt outlet with a 120 volt outlet even though that's outside his usual area. While here he also helped me reinstall a dryer. He's a wealth of information, and gives you total confidence that he knows what he's doing. Very cool guy.

Setting the appointment up with Vivian was a pleasure as well. She was prompt with the paperwork, didn't complain about all my co-op's demands, and everything was in order.

Couldn't have been more pleased.

Warren is great. He works tirelessly on the wonky wiring in my house and saw it as a challenge and not a chore. I called him after I used a different person and actually got electrocuted in my house.  He was very concerned and spent a great deal of time fixing things so we are all safe.  He always comes exactly when asked and even on a moment's notice for a second job.

Warren came by on short notice and helped me replace two outlets and a light bulb that was out of my reach. Most people don't want an audience while they work, which is understandable but Warren encouraged it. He has a great rapport with kids and pets too. He's very pleasant to be around and I highly recommend him for any electrical work you need done.

Warren is such a wonderful person. My husband and I had an issue with our smoke alarm - we called Warren, who let us know what the problem was based on our description, and drove over to us right away. We managed to fix the issue by the time he got here. I felt terrible, but he didn't even ask for a fee! We will 100% be using Warren next time we have an issue.

Warren is so great!  I had so many electrical issues from panels to wires to electrical outlets and Warren came over and fixed all of them in a timely manner also Warren had the best price out of all 20 electricians I called.  He is a really great guy and super funny and nice to talk to.  I definitely recommend Warren to everyone!!

Warren provides a great service at a fair price. I had another quote from an electrician that told me I needed new parts and 100s of dollars of labor. Warren came and was able to diagnose and fix the problem within seconds and took the time to explain what was wrong and how to fix myself if it happens again.  It's great to have found an electrician that comes when he says he will come and doesn't over charge and great guy!  Thanks Warren!

He came when he said he would.  He was friendly and explained everything he was doing.  He didn't finish on Friday so he came back Saturday morning to finish the job.  And he did all of this for half the price of other electricians.  Would definitely recommend Warren.

I reached out to Warren based on his reviews and he lives up to his rating. We were having issues in our building with the outside lights. Warren is as much a detective as an electrician. He found and fixed the issue in no time. Also gave some great recommendations. I'd happily use Warren for all future electric requirements!

He was great. Responded immediately and came to my house quickly. He diagnosed the problem right away. It was a super quick and easy fix. I told him he could have told me it was a much bigger job and got a lot of money out of me. He laughed and said he never does that. I found him honest, quick, professional. Great all around.

A-1 Electrician and if you need a miracle, he can help there, too

Warren installed an outlet at my parents' home in Brooklyn and was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G.  For those of you who are DIYs, Warren blindly drilled through a floor, behind a wall, into a stack of bricks separating the residence form the garage, snaked the cable (this is the miracle part) through the grout-line in the stack of bricks and found it in the ceiling below, which he then ran into the service panel.  For those of you who aren't DIYs, Warren is a professional, first-rate, tenacious craftsmen who can install and wire anything into anywhere!

We contacted Warren Johnson Electric for an installation of an outlet the day before the scheduled installation. I understand if someone is overbooked and can't accomodate a short notice booking - other electricians we reached out to were able to tell us that. Warren Johnson booked a time to do the job and then after not showing up for an hour, sent a message saying they had to reschedule because they didn't bring cash to pay for parking. I would have rathered they said they could not do it from the beginning so that we had enough time to schedule someone else. Very unprofessional.

Warren and Vivian are wonderful people.  They're responsible and true to their words.  If they say they will do something, they will deliver.  Warren is competent and knows his stuff.  They scheduled an inspection with dob within days and sign off went smoothly- amazing!

Warren is professional, knowledgeable, and patient.  He came same day on a Saturday.  Explained everything he saw and was doing.  Quickly analyzed and repaired my electrical problem.  He got my dishwasher working and I could not be happier.  I fully recommend for your electrical issues.

I didn't end up choosing Warren for my job because I received more competitive bids (not by much), it was easy to make an appointment and he was prompt, courteous, knowledgeable and friendly.  I would definitely consider him again for any other projects.
