My husband wanted to install a smart thermostat but, after disconnecting the existing thermostat, realized he didn't have all the parts he needed. He reconnected the old thermostat but somehow wired it wrong. Then he left for an extended business trip. I knew it was simply a matter of which wire was in the wrong place but I had no way of figuring that out. Richie arrived about 20 minutes after I called and we had heat again in less than an hour. And he charged me a very reasonable rate when I was afraid a simple job would cost me an arm and a leg. Will definitely call them again if needed!

Once again Rich and his crew saved the day. While preparing to sell the house, we had one inspection issue that needed to be fixed before sale (GFI outlet outdoor). Rich sent his crew over same day and fixed the issue. He sent them back the following day to replace older pipe just to make it look pretty for the pre closing inspection.

Their attention to detail and pride of workmanship is stellar. Pablo and Johnny are amazing guys to work with. They are friendly, respectful and clean.

There is no need to hire anyone else for your electrical and HAVAC work.

Called Rich and Devin recently for a 200 amp service upgrade and they completed it in an excellent and professional fashion, thanks again gentleman!!

Richie was great.  Gave a professional and REASONABLE quote, has a license, had business cards, had insurance; he was legitimate.  

He installed a Tesla wall charger for me on my building a couple of days after accepting quote.  Despite a little hiccup it went smooth.  He even has guys that patch and paint after the electrical job is done.  Took him 3 hours.  Very professional, very responsive; would highly recommend him.  He's got a good team.

I live in a very, very old building in Astoria, NY. I got ten dedicated new electrical lines installed across two separate apartment floors. Also got two splicer boxes installed, lights replaced, and additional outlets replaced. It was a very big job that was done quickly and professionally. Richie, Devon, Pablo, and Johny were all superb.

I researched several people for the job, and found both Richie's pricing and personality best.

I would recommend this business for everyone. Really did an outstanding job for a HUGE project.

I'm usually pretty skeptical when it comes to business with mostly 5 star reviews, but NYC Queens Electrician is the real deal.

Richie responded quickly and had Devin at my apartment within hours, it wasn't even a rush job, but appreciated the same day scheduling and service for the installation of 3 smart switches at a reasonable price.

Richie responded very quickly and came out to my house within the same day (huge deal especially since it is a holiday weekend). He instantly figured out why my 2nd floor wasn't receiving any power while the rest of the house was fine. He is very reasonable, professional and good natured.

These guys were great.  I had a special project which involved replacing fluorescent lighting with LED behind a very heavy bathroom mirror that needed to be removed  from a wall and reattached along with a dimmer switch installation.  Rich (the owner) was very responsive in terms of texts/emails and expediting the paper work.  His team (Jonny and Pablo) were friendly and competent when giving an estimate and doing the job.   The work was done with care as it was a bit tricky (removing the mirror of the wall, replacing wiring and existing units, installing the LEDs) and came out as exactly as imagined.  I would definitely recommend these guys without reservations.

Had an issue with our HVAC unit. The AC guys told us It was an electrical problem so we called this company and they were great! Richie was very professional, prompt, and knows what he is doing. Would recommend this company to anyone!

We hired Richie and his guys to install lights in the living room ceiling as well as a ceiling fan. When I called to schedule an estimate, Richie picked up and scheduled it for the next day. He arrived on time, and when we told him that what we were planning for the space, he offered suggestions. We had thought we'd need 6-8 lights for the space, but he said that'd be too bright if using LED lights. He could have easily installed them all and made the extra money, but he was honest about what was needed and cared more about it looking right and us being happy with the results. This was one of the main reasons we hired him over the other company we got an estimate from.

Once we called to hire him, we were able to schedule the work for the next week. He started the job, doing the measuring himself, and then his guys Devon and Johnny did most of the work. The guys were super friendly; my 5yr old loved talking with them and was upset when they were done bc he wouldn't see them again. All of them followed COVID protocols, always wearing their masks. Other than a short lunch break, they worked straight through each day and cleaned up before leaving at night.

Initially, the ceiling fan posed a problem. We had ordered an expensive fan from Wayfair that had good reviews for being quiet. However, once installed, it was making a whopping sound. Moreover, it wasn't sitting right, swaying slightly with the blades. Devon tried various tactics to get it to sit right and not make noise. It was getting late, passed the time they should have left, but they stayed to work through the problem. We were on the verge of contacting Wayfair to return it, when Devon figured out that because the ceiling was uneven, there was a small gap between the fan and the ceiling. He figured out a solution, and now the fan sits flush against the ceiling, doesn't sway and is virtually silent. They really went above and beyond.

Finally, they sent in Charlie Herrera to patch up the holes. This was another reason we hired these guys over the other company: because they had someone to patch up and paint before final payment was due. Charlie was great. He showed up on time and did the work quickly. He even patched up a few cracks in our plaster that wasn't part of the job. Before leaving, his worker was on the floor with a wet rag, wiping up the dust. We ended up hiring him to come back and paint the whole place, and we are so pleased with the results. Richie had estimated 2-3 days to complete the job, and they were done in 3. They were a pleasure to do business with, and we love their results. We recommend them in the highest possible regards.

Ritchie was very responsive and came within 24 hours of my call to repair an outlet that was having an issue. He fixed the current problem (sorry) and made some recommendations for potential future work that should be done. He was good and efficient and reasonably priced. Highly recommend.

Very happy I called! Rich showed up promptly and on time. He was able to quickly diagnose the light issue and quickly reset my circuit breaker and properly re-installed my light dimmer. Will definitely hiring him again on a bigger project. Thanks again!

I had Ritchie and Johnny help on an emergency job this week. I bought an old house in Jackson Heights two years ago; it's come with plenty of quirks, especially in the electric department. I was attempting to change a light bulb in my son's room when the old fixture detached from the ceiling leaving frayed and exposed wiring. When I turned on the switch to see if things still worked, sparks shot from the ceiling and all the electricity on the second floor shut off.

I called Ritchie; he said no problem. The crew showed up in the morning, and they fixed the wiring and changed the fixture the same day. Their attentiveness exceeded my expectations.

I should note this is the second time I used the Electric AC crew. They changed an old breaker box for me over the summer when my air conditioners kept blowing the old glass fuses.

They also handled the patching and painting after they removed the old box. So good to have this all handled by one team for a clear and transparent price.

I am a first time home owner so I have never had to deal with any type of contractor before. I was experiencing a fuse issue a month after moving into my co-op; and after comparing several companies I chose this one. Richie made the initial visit and spent several hours checking every outlet and gave me several ideas of what could be the problem. We came up with a game plan and he refused to charge me because he felt he didn't fix the problem. A few weeks later my fuse died altogether. I called Richie frantic at 830am, and Devin was at my apartment by 10am the same day. He was so meticulous and insisted on checking every outlet in the apartment. He was thorough and once he felt he diagnosed the problem he created a work around for me so he wouldn't have to open my walls until we were 100% sure of the problem. Even after all of this, they charged me an extremely reasonable amount. My co-op is very strict about contractors and required a ton of paperwork before they were allowed to come back and re-wire my apartment. Richie never complained and sent me everything I asked for. Devin then came at 9am on our scheduled date and did everything in his power to avoid causing too much damage to my walls. He was patient and described the whole process and options to myself and my super, never complaining about having to repeat himself. Even after spending hours drilling and working, Devin offered multiple times to clean up for me! Obviously I said no but I was grateful for the offer. I'm so grateful to have found this company. They were extremely reasonable in their pricing, honest throughout, and made this awful new homeownership experience so much easier.

I had 2 outlets I needed updated to have usb charging and they came right away and did everything in 15 minutes. Great to deal with. Definitely recommend.

Needed a service call to check out why several recessed lights were flickering. Living in a coop that requires licensed electricians who are insured and have a covid safety plan, it was difficult to find one that was willing/able to provide these documents. Rich patiently worked with us to get everything in order and was responsive via email.

Onto the work itself, rich was able to find and resolve the issue without having to open up the walls (fortunately). While he was here, he also took at other issues we were having and fixed that as well.

I needed to replace my bathroom vent and came across a potential problem. I called the electrician get a estimate and to set up an appointment.

The electrician listened to my problem an advised me on how to resolve it. I appreciate their honest & would trust any future work to this company.

Made an appointment. They didn't show up. Had to contact them twice to find out what happened. When they finally got back to me there was no explanation, just that they couldn't make it and they were booked for the next five days. Don't  waste your time.

I had a circuit blow during a rainstorm which caused all the lights in the apartment to go out. Thought it was going to be a big job, but Rich was able to come early the next morning and fixed it in 20 minutes. His rate is reasonable. Highly recommend!

Great job! Had great communication with Richard from the moment I sent in an email for a request. He replied promptly with a reasonable quote. The technician he sent out could not have been nicer. He helped swap out a ceiling light fixture with a different one. A fuse and dimmer switch got blown during the process and the technician had the exact same ones in his van to replace them with. The new light is working terrifically. After the job, Richard followed up with an email invoice to submit payment.

I've never worked with an electrician before and this was a wonderful experience. I'll definitely use this company again if I need any more work of this nature done.

I ended up not needing their services, but my experience warrants a review and will show the character and integrity of this business. I was having an issue with a Security Alarm system and the monitoring company told me to contact an electrician. A brief internet search led me to find these guys.

I called and spoke to Rich today. He picked up the phone on maybe the second ring and listened to me ramble about the issues I was having. He said he would be glad to come out, but bluntly told me I likely do not need his services because the error message on the alarm usually has to do with an error on the end of the monitoring company (its a communication error). He appears to be 100% accurate. The 800 number agents at the monitoring company were quick to brush me off to hiring an electrician, rather than solving the issue on their end.

I usually don't write many yelp reviews, but I do deal with a ton of contractors by nature of my job and I can say if your looking for an honest electrician, this is your guy. Since I bluntly said I was going off of advice from the alarm company, he could have easily just come out and charged me instead advising me that the error is more than likely not due to the electrical wiring. We will definitely be calling these guys should a need arise.

Sent a message for a quote and appointment request. Was told, tomorrow between 1-3. I provided my address, phone number, and email, so there were plenty of contact options.

It's tomorrow at 3:30 and not a word from these guys. No notice of lateness, no notice of cancellation, nada.

Excellent service! I reached out to Rich for some help regarding my lights flickering in and out. He responded within the hour with a quote and was available to fix it a half hour after I agreed to hire him. Richie and his team were great to work with. We hired them to install a ceiling fan in a spot where not one but two previous fans had fallen down. Understandably we were a little paranoid about installing another one. But he was very patient and reassuring with our questions. I just had my lights installed by these guys and I couldn't be happier! I originally envisioned how I wanted the lights to be placed in my studio and these guys were able to bring that to life. There was a certain way I wanted my lights to be however with their expertise they advised me to think about going another rout about it. Trusting them and their expertise did not let me down, not one bit! Not only were these guys friendly, but they were professional and came 100% on time. 10/10 I would definitely recommend these guys. If you don't you're making a mistake. I was a little hesitant after reading the one star review about them being tardy , however I took the risk following my own gut instincts and was not let down! It just goes to show, you should take these reviews with a grain of salt!

Found Rich on Yelp & reached out to quickly solve a problem with a 30amp outlet in the house.  He responded in less than 30 minutes and gave me a number to call. He answered the call immediately.

He talked to me about my situation, let me send him photos as well. He called back to let me know what I needed and offered a quote - then noted he could to have someone out the next day, on a Sunday morning! AMAZING!

I eventually learned that my contractor & his electricians failed to install the outlet originally, and said they would come correct their mistake.  
Called Rich back as soon as I learned this and he was completely understanding and didn't even ask me for payment.
I wanted to pay for his time and help but he refused.

I will DEFINITELY be calling Rich and his company back when I need work in the future.  His customer service was incredible and I wish I had been dealing with him for my house electric originally.

Rich was fantastic. He came to our apartment to repair a faulty breaker -diagnosed the issue and fixed it in no time. He also noticed an issue with one of our outlets and repaired it thoroughly and quickly. We had a great experience with Rich, he's highly skilled and was quick to provide service just 1 hour after we contacted him. I recommend his services to absolutely anyone!

We had a broken light in our bathroom that our landlord wasn't fixing and Richie responded very quickly. I really appreciated that in addition to fixing the light he was able to provide someone to fix and paint our ceiling, included in the quote. Highly recommend!

Rich quickly identified a potential fire hazard and the cause of a burning smell from our electrical panel that another electrician the previous day couldn't. He went above and beyond with some additional electrical requests as well. Would highly recommend!

Rich came to my house right on time (15 minutes early, actually) and worked quickly and efficiently. After diagnosing the problem (something about loads and gfis and something something), he resolved the problem, and did some rewriting to prevent the issue from happening again.

Pricing was very fair too. It also helps that Rich is full licensed. I'll probably be calling him again for a service upgrade this year.

Service was top notch. I needed kitchen wiring repaired that a previous contractor screwed up and Rich came to the rescue. He had to cancel the first consultation visit due to emergency calls due to a cold snap in the city, but he was very communicative and offered alternative dates and times in 3-hour blocks, which was reasonable. He even showed up early within the first hour.

The consult and repairs (credit to Devin too) were done with diligence and attention to detail. Devin even tested out the other outlets and re-wrote the circuit breaker guide to correctly point which breaker lead to which line.

Fixed my circuit breaker. The electric baseboard heaters in the kitchen and bathroom (connected to the same thermostat) kept tripping the circuit breaker. Rich replaced the burned-out wire (which was also loose, which he told me, can make a wire overheat) and replaced it with a tighter-fitting wire. Rich is courteous, reliable, and did a good job!

Rich asked me to write a 5 star review in lieu of being hired so here it is. We met around 6pm.  I waited the full 3 hour time window for him & thankfully he did come through.  He paced around my studio looking carefully at all my stuff, not so much the ceiling.  After careful inspection of the things in my space, he thoughtfully started telling me that he felt I was very particular about my workspace and then let me know not to worry, that I should be, and why I should be, as it is mine after all. Oh. Does particular mean Anal? Difficult? IDK.  He enlightened me to some things, as a Jedi Master would, standing the whole time.  
I didn't have to tell him what I cared about.  He didn't ask, he told me first.  I learned I cared more about aesthetics than the lighting. Oh. I asked a couple basic questions/his opinion about lighting placement.  He said most people would hire a lighting consultant to answer those questions.  But I had already spoken with a couple electricians who had very specific ideas about my questions.  
After telling me about my space, he pointed to a painting and asked me who had done it.  This was confusing.  He complimented it & after asking how much my work sells for, which just shouldn't be asked- sorry-gave me the highest quote of all 5 technicians I spoke to.  More strenuous conversation ensued.  When I apologized & I said I couldn't afford his quote, he asked me what others had quoted me & told me I might get what I pay for if it's less than his quote.
....Thanks? I guess.  He finally left, backing out the door.  But not before saying with both thumbs up, Could you at least write us a good review on Yelp?

I highly recommend Rich and his crew at NYC Queens Electrician. I had a number of projects in my pre-war co-op apt in Jackson Heights including installing some ceiling fixtures and a chandelier, as well as switching out all my plugs and light switches. Rich was able to come by quickly to provide an estimate and then followed up the next day with all the paperwork necessary for my Board to approve the project. His crew were efficient, friendly, had an eye for detail, and made sure I was happy with the work. On top of all that, the pricing was competitive. I'll definitely use Rich again in the future.

These guys helped me out last weekend, offering great phone support  on a Saturday and sending guys to do work early this week. They were able to work with my not-straightforward schedule, and were as nice, responsive and responsible as could be. The price they quoted me seemed reasonable-- higher than some quotes I got but lower than others. I needed things done quickly so wasn't in the mood to haggle over dollars, but didn't feel I was being taken advantage of because of that. When something seemed a bit awry a few days later, they sent someone to come check their work right away. If you are in a pinch and need electrical work done quickly and done right, I think you'll be in good hands with Richard and his crew.

Rich is a true professional and overall great guy. He was able to take care of my semi split connection and fix an ongoing issue I had with my electrical stove without charging exaggerated fees.  Rich is definitely the licensed professional you want in this city and I highly recommend him.

Rich was great.  I had a few issues but no definite work that needed to be done.  I was honest that I already had a couple other people check it out.  He offered his opinions, looked into a few things, and gave me an estimated quote for a big upgrade on the spot.

For now my problems resolved themselves and the upgrade work can wait, but I'll be calling Rich again for jobs both big & small.

We had a problem with our ceiling fan transmitter. Richard got back to me right away with a quote. Came the next day fixed the problem and also fixed another wire problem.  Very professional and pleasant. Would definitely use him again.

This is an update that I wanted to add today. As I said I would be using Rich for future jobs. I have done so. The house that I was managing was in a state of disrepair due to the original owners neglect. The projects I had to have this man do were numerous and I can honestly say he did the whole thing for under five grand! We're talking re-wiring boxes, installing ceiling fans, the whole works! anything you can think of that went wrong would go wrong in this house, and Rich and his staff (in particular Devon) did a wonderful job repairing it all for a fantastic budget. Always look at these guys first they are the real deal!

Gentleman groggily answered the phone to quote me $450 to reinstall a late fixture then hang up on me. Found a quality electrician for $150. My light looks great

Highly recommend and will continue to use Rich's services in the future. He & Devin helped with a couple projects around the apartment and went above and beyond by running out and picking up warmer bulbs for other areas of my home to match the new bulbs I had gotten. Their first quote was not the absolute lowest I received when I was originally searching, but I think it was accurate and I'm super happy with their attention to detail & professionalism so I was down -- I know I won't need to hire anyone else down the line to fix their work or waste a day waiting them to show up for an appointment.  All around thumbs up & high fives

I found Rich on Yelp, called him and he came out that same evening to address my lighting issues. In about two hours he discovered our kitchen track lighting wasn't working, our backyard switch was broken (he replaced it) and that we'd misinstalled our florescent bulb. Once I got a new light fixture for the kitchen I got in contact with Rich and he came by the following day to install it. He'd forgotten about the box for the backyard switch, but he quickly went to home depot and got us one, even taking our decor (white) into consideration.

Rich was timely, friendly, and he got the job done. We'll definitely be getting in contact with him again for our future electrical needs.

No sense of time. I got a quote for checking if there is work needed. However, He missed two appointments with me. Not a good way to do business.

I suggest he should hire a person for keeping track of all of his appointments and send a reminder 1 hour before.

Absolutely awesome service. We have an 8 month old baby, and lost power and in resetting the breaker we noticed that the electric in our home had been poorly done and we had melting breakers. A panel needed to be replaced. We were worried about the safety of our home, and Rich and team helped us address the issues right away. Devon came to do the work, and he was professional, timely, and made sure everything was working great before he left. Couldn't ask for better service. The next time that I need an electrician, Rich of NYC Queens Electrician will be my first call.  He did a great job installing two light fixtures, one of which presented considerable difficulty.

Half our power went out after a winter storm. I called Rich on a Sunday to request emergency service since I have twin babies and the space heater in our living room was nonfunctional as well as the fridge.  Rich came over himself within two hours; while the issue was with ConEd, he hooked up our fridge so it was running and placed a ticket with ConEd to fix the power issue.  He was extremely professional, friendly, and easy to work with.  In the past, I've spent hours waiting for HVAC people and plumbers who finally arrive way past the appointed time and require multiple calls on my part. Our building had called another electrician (at the same time I called Rich) who finally turned up about two hours after Rich left.  I can't overemphasize enough how difficult professionalism and reliability is to find in this city!  Rich took a lot of anxiety out of the situation and I was able to spend a pleasant day with my babies with minimal interruption.  Highly recommend.

Great group of guys. Not too familiar with electrical repair, but I was told from a friend to give these guys a call and sure it enough they were professional and quick to finish the job. They were thorough and I didn't feel like they were trying to make their job more complicated than what was needed to be done to get more money out of me. I asked Richard for some electrical changes to set up an electric pottery kiln. He did a free onsite consultation for me. Richard was very responsive and professional. He moved fast, figured out issues quickly and explained me what needed to be done clearly. He did a great job for me. I highly recommend him. I wrote him with some questions after he left and he responded me quicklyly with answers that relieved me. He is very good.

Tim is simply fantastic. What a find! I've had him come twice now. In both cases an outlet had failed. Tim was very friendly, gave me his cell number, fixed it with no mess, was incredibly courteous. I will definitely be calling him any time I need some electrical work taken care of around the house.

I needed someone to come on Friday and fix the socket for my AC, before it got hot Sunday.  And he was there by 1:30, and got it up and running.  What more can you ask?

I cannot speak more highly of Rich. Last night several outlets were sparking in our kitchen, and we were terrified. After calling several electricians who wouldn't come by, Rich gladly offered to stop by our home the day after Blizzard Juno! Rich was kind and extremely professional on the phone, and came earlier than he told us he could. He made sure all of our outlets were fine, checked the fuse box, and tested our appliances to make sure they were not sparking. Rich was funny, professional, knowledgeable, and a hard worker, and he answered all of our questions. If you ever need an electrician, call Rich. We could not speak more highly of him.
