Mr. Electric of Ramsey

I highly endorse Mr. Electric for all of your electrical needs. They recently installed a 240 volt EV charger at my home and the service was top-notch. The electrician, Michael, was extremely polite, responsive, and professional. From the initial consultation to the final installation, he provided clear communication and made sure the job was done to our satisfaction. The charger is working perfectly and we couldn't be happier with the service we received. I would highly recommend Mr. Electric for any of your electrical needs.

He was supposed to show up between 11-2 and he never did. I made sure to schedule my whole day around him and he did not even have the courtesy to call and say sorry it was a rough day can we try another day in fact I was told by his team that he would show up later. Don't give somebody your heart on cash if you're not gonna respect your time.

During the first winter in our new home, the lower level of my concrete base house was really, really cold and we weren't sure whom we could have here to address the issue. After doing some research and consulting with a third party expert, their recommendation was to have baseboard heaters installed where we needed it. The reasoning being it was the most economical for the 300 sq ft of space we needed it in. At the end of the day, our concern with this option was that, although it was economical in the short-term, we weren't so sure that was the case in the long-term.

After doing some more research, we decided to put in a request on Angi for a new baseboard heating project. Immediately Joe called me and, voila, a free consultation was scheduled just like that! I explained to him our needs and we made an appointment asap. On the day he arrived at our home he was very, very professional throughout. Since our floors were fairly clean, we requested that he place booties on his boots and he had no issues with that what so ever. In addition, if you have any pandemic-related concerns, he also wore a mask in our home prior to stepping indoors.

Within 20 minutes, he assessed our heating needs, explained the best options for us (hydronic baseboard heater), described in detail what work would need to be done and where the heaters would be installed. In addition, he answered EVERY question we had to our satisfaction. Within hours of leaving our home, he provided a detailed estimate, via email, of what the cost breakdown for every piece of work required for the job would be!

After we did our due diligence on the estimate and detailed breakdown and had some back and forth Q & A with Joe, we knew Joe's was definitely the most reasonable quote --- by far! In addition, his patience throughout our communications was amazing as we asked question after question after question and he answered them, promptly, with the utmost detail!

On the day of the work, Joe and one of his partners, Mark, arrived right on time for the installation. Since it was quite a labor intensive project, it was estimated to be 6 hours and Joe's estimated completion time was SPOT ON! As with the consultation, both Joe and Mark were super professional throughout and we let them be as they did their thing. Mark ended up completing the job at the end and explained to us the ins and outs of our new hydronic baseboard heaters, how to work the thermostats we bought and he also cleaned up and vacuumed the area.

It has now been 2 weeks since the installation and the heaters work perfectly! When the heaters are on, our entire lower level is warm and toasty and we couldn't be happier with their performance. Also, we love the clean look of the heaters and they blend right into our walls.

Overall, we couldn't have been happier with the service of Mr. Electric of Ramsey. Everything worked out perfectly....AND at a reasonable cost! There is no doubt in my mind that many companies can install an electric heater, but I'm not sure how many will be as professional, efficient, spot on with estimates and reasonably priced as Mr. Electric of Ramsey.

Do I need to say more? If you have ANY electric or heating needs, definitely go with Joe and company! You will not regret it!!!

We had Michael come to install new light fixtures in three rooms. Two flush mount fixtures and one ceiling fan. I have to say I am extremely impressed with the services that Mr. electric, specifically Mike, performed for us. Everything was explained well to us, he was super clean and any mess that was made, he cleaned up himself without being asked to. He asked if I wanted to have other jobs completed, to which I declined, but I did appreciate the education and offer from him. Overall I'm extremely pleased with the work and the service that Mr. Electric offers and I plan to utilize them for all my electric work moving forward!

Heard this 'dripping' sound in my bathroom as I was getting ready for bed. Figured I check it out in the AM.
When I pulled down the stairs to the attic in the AM, I noticed there was light in the attic... and I hadn't turned on the light yet. Uh oh...
Turns out the cover for the attic fan had 'left the premises' and was open to Mother Natures wrath.  Fortunately Mother Nature was in a good mood, so the rain/snow that came through wasn't too bad.
I considered climbing the rafters and doing what I could to seal up the hole, but my wife found Mr. Electric... since I needed someone to come in and replace the fan itself.
They sent over Brandon, who put his protective booties on without me asking (we just had new hardwood floors installed) and proceeded to climb up, assess the situation... disconnect the fan, try to find the fan in stock and could not, so ordered one to be installed in 4 days.
When he came with the fan, Brandon climbed up our 3 story townhome with no hesitation (along with his co-worker) and had the job done in less than an hours.
I was very impressed with Brandon and the little bit of customer service Mr. Electric had to provide. I say a 'little bit' because everything was done so efficiently... very little was needed.
I'm pretty handy myself, but if I have any electrical issues I can't handle... Mr. Electric is who I'm going to call. No question.

Ran outdoor electrical outlets and the kept tripping he refuses to come and fix the problem.  they also over charge . do not use at all. considering taking them to court

I was overcharged and brought it to their attention and they acknowledged their mistake but never put the credit through.  When it comes to doing the work they are timely and have no delay in taking your money, but when it's time to pay you back  forget it.  I spent 5 days calling and I still have yet to find out when they intend to pay me back.  They quoted me a price and asked for half.  When they came back and finished the job instead of charging me for the second half they charged me for the whole job.

This is an excellent company the workmanship is terrific they come out as soon as you call prices prices are reasonable I recommend them highly to anybody they are very good company I've been with them for quite a few years

keep using mr electric joe and his team for my fixtures. wouldnt want to use anyone else.

Had an outside plug that quick working.  Contacted Mr Electric, they were at my house the same day and fixed the plug.  Very professional.  Highly recommend.

Great service from a great company! The owner Joe handled my electrical issue quickly, with ease, fairly priced and was just an overall nice guy.  Will definitely be using Mr. Electric in the future!

They weren't lying when they posted that no job is too small or insignificant. I had them come to fix a fuse (and other electrical issues) on my kid's power wheels. They accommodated my request after their normal hours, took their shoes off and completed the job quickly and quietly (as my child was napping). Very knowledgeable, patient, polite and professional. They explained everything they were doing in layman's terms. Fairly priced too. A winning combo. I highly recommend them for all electrical related needs.

They also installed a keyless door lock - very neat job.

Very professional, competent, prompt and friendly service. Repaired main electric line. Repairs where done on the same day when the estimate was given. Great team!

For their level of professionalism and acumen I thought I would be paying an arm & leg; however, prices were reasonable and Joe exceeded my expectations! Polite, funny and most importantly; great at his job!

This company will give it to you straight, there are no hidden costs. Even when a job was more difficult than originally assumed Joe figured it out and I did not have to pay extra.  

Call them, ask for Joe A!  You will thank me. The quality of work was on my dad's level as in, he did the job like it was his own house. He did not cut corners nor rushed and he even cancelled other jobs after mine because it took longer than anticipated.

Also, one thing, when I made the original consultation appointment, they called me hours in advance to reschedule due to the agent was behind. I  respected that so much.  I can't say enough great things about them.

P.S. - If you have a sump pump, get one of those GFI alarms put on it. Price was reasonable and if power goes out and it stops working, you'll know!

I need to provide an update - after seeing my review, Joe the owner, reached out wanting to make it right.  He agreed that while I was invoiced for sealed, 10 year lithium battery smoke detectors the older model was installed that took regular 9 volts.  He arrived the next day replaced all the units and even upgraded one.

You guys rocked it! Thanks so much for the beautiful recessed lighting you put in our living room, the work was seamless and completed so quickly. We cannot recommend Mr. Electric of Ramsey enough- their knowledge and professionalism certainly reassured us that we went with the best team for the job. We will be in touch soon for the next room!

I never write negative reviews, but in this case, I think I will be doing a disservice to my neighbors to not write a simple, truthful yet negative one.  Several weeks ago I contacted Mr. Electric of Ramsey explaining that I wanted to have a dedicated circuit installed in one of my bedrooms.  I had previously removed all obstacles from the adjacent attic area where the wire would be placed directly to the electrical panel:  about 50 feet of wire (12 gauge at my request), 1 15 amp circuit breaker, 1 outlet box and 1 outlet.  I explained in detail what I wanted and was told an electrician would come out, give me an estimate and do the work right then if I agreed.  He came out as planned and stated that he estimated it would take 3 men about 1 hour for a total cost of $1,150.  I was a bit stunned since I thought the estimate was excessive and could not envision the need for 3 men, but I did want the work done and did not want to go searching for another electrician.  Luckily for me, he told he that the work could not be done that day since an emergency job had just come up, but he could be back in a few days.  I then decided to do some research.  I priced out the parts on Home Depot's website and they came to approximately $20.  I then called a few other, local, licensed electricians with years of experience.  The work was done meticulously by 1 man in 1  1/2 hours for a cost of $350.  All of the other estimates I received came to approximate that same amount. I am so glad I did not use Mr. Electric of Ramsey and would suggest always getting multiple estimates.
