Mike's work was top-notch. He and an apprentice (Nick -- nice guy) installed 3 ceiling fans, hung a chandelier, swapped out old light fixtures in bathroom and kitchen and installed new ones. Ran wire molding efficiently. Pleasant and professional. Only glitch was delayed arrival time, but traffic is traffic, I guess. I would hire again, no question, for a future job.

This man is a scam artist. Do not waste your time or money on him. He took my money without completing a project. He never answered his phone call from the number I initially communicated with him. When I finally got in touch with him 2 weeks later from another number he finally answered his phone, but lied about his child having a seizure. He agreed to come finish the project to no availability for the 2nd time. Do'not trust Michael.
Do not get near that guy, he is rude, unprofessional (left my home dirty and did not finish the job)
I had to call another electrician after that crook left.

Very sad. Mike was helpful on the phone and we set up a time for 10:00 am 07/11. He never showed or called. I finally called him and he said he would come by noon. Never heard back. Not nice
This guy Michael Santangelo took $700 from me via Venmo app and left the ceiling leak work unfinished. There is a huge cutout hole in my ceiling and nothing resolved! He has pulled a no-show on my tenant three times already and is avoiding text messages and phone calls from me. The only way I could get in touch with him was via a call from my work phone, which he is unfamiliar with. I have filed a police report with the city of Newark. He is a con artist!
If I give him no stars I would. Michael Santangelo is a thief and a bum. Don't hire him cause he'll beat you out of your money.
So far so good. I called Mike on my own because my landlord moves at a snail's pace, after telling him that three outlets in my adjoining bedrooms were suddenly not working. I called him at 8AM he arranged to come by at 11AM and he showed at the agreed upon time. He got right to work and was done in an hour. We negotiated a fee prior to arrival and the bill was settled at departure. No complaints as of yet, everything is working as it should.

Worst mistake ever hiring this low life.To anyone who reads this I urge you to look elsewhere this guy mike is a absolute crook.i called him for a job he started the job he demanded payment immediately after he charged our credit card twice for more then $2000 he completely disappeared.never completed work and stole money.DO NOT HIRE THIS PIECE OF S**T! You will be sorry
Do not trust this guy at all. I was paired with him by HomeAdvisor at 10:00. He called me back and confirmed he would be at my place at 2:00. So i left work early and contacted him again at 2:30 when he did not show. He told me he was stuck in traffic and that the gps showed him arriving in 21 minuets. 1 hour and a half later..... i tried calling him again this time no answer. I then contacted HomeAdvisor to try and get someone else to come but it was too late. I don't understand why he even took the job if he could not do it. HomeAdvisor would have tried to find someone that could but did not because he said he would. I complained to HomeAdvisor who said would report it to there supervisor.
I appreciated Mike's expertise and clear explanations of what was wrong with my circuits, breakers, and wiring. He was able to fix the problem within a short period of time and explained how the problem should not reoccur due to actions that he took. He proceeded to share his concerns about other electrical boxes (I own an older home) and gave me written estimates for the proposed work. In all, I was very pleased with his service and have scheduled an appointment for the next phase of electrical work to be done.
He basically took my deposit and never started the work. Be wary of his low estimates.
My goal is to provide a balanced and fair review. That being said, I have to say that my experience with my Mike has not been favorable. For our first appointment, he was over an hour late before calling to let me know his status. As such, the appointment was rescheduled. He did make it to the next appointment and supposedly fixed the pocket doors with a lifetime warranty. Fast forward and less than 90 days later, the doors came off the track again. Consequently, I reached out to him since the work was under warranty. I called and sent messages for several days and he finally responded. I scheduled an appointment with him and notified him that my tenant was taking off of work early to meet him. I sent him a reminder message on the day of the appointment and asked that he notify me if he needed to make changes. Well, the appointment time rolled around and he didn't show up for it nor did he call. I reached out and left several messages and he has not responded. All of that being said, I am unable to recommend him or his company. As noted in other reviews, Mike isn't timely and just doesn't show up for appointments. Lastly, it's obvious that he does not warrant his work.
I used them before I moved and it was excellent service, competitive pricing and exemplary work. I very recommend.
