I called 4-5 other companies who couldn't help me but Budget was able to get out next day. Did the work for $30 less than a company we used to have a yearly contract with. Highly recommend!

I had one good experience with Budget and one bad experience. The first time I called my A/C wasn't working. They were able to send a tech the next day (other companies needed 3-4 days) during the hottest days of the summer. The tech was professional, wore a uniform, was courteous and honest. So I called again when my water heater had problems. It was a Saturday so I knew it would be costly. They sent a tech out that afternoon. He barely looked at the water heater before he started talking about selling me a new water heater for $1900. He also said they don't repair my brand of water heater (which is a major brand). I already knew I was out the nearly $100 just for the service call. Why didn't the person on the phone ask what brand of water heater I had? I told him I couldn't buy a new water heater, so he told me to call the manufacturer and order the parts and when I got them he would come back and install them. I called the manufacturer and got a very nice service tech on the phone. He said I probably didn't need new parts, that it was most likely a simple thing I could fix myself (the water heater isn't that old). He instructed me to push a reset button, wait a few minutes, and re-light the water heater. He also emailed me an instructional video. I did what he directed and lo and behold, my water heater was fine and has been ever since! So I wasted $100 on a service tech who I believe should have known to at least try resetting it. Live and learn.

I am warning everyone in Albuquerque please be careful and do your research before trusting anything this company says.
We own rentals and this week when one of my tenants called Buget Climate Control because the pilot light went out on his furnace, he thought it would be a simple fix and that they would go in and light the pilot light and the problem would be solved without having to bother us at all.
Well, I got a call from my tenant saying that Buget said the heater had cracks in it and was dangerous. I then talked to Larry with Buget who was working on the heater and he proceeded to tell me that the heater was in bad shape and he had to red tag it and report us to the city and the gas company and send them pictures and that the gas company and the city would contact me within 48 hours.
I told Larry that first of all he did not have our permission to be in our building, and that I would have our plumber, who is lisenced in heating and cooling take a look at it. At this point Larry insisted that I could not hire a handyman just to fix it, it had to be replaced. I assured him we would talk to our plumber and do the right thing.
A few minutes later I received a call from someone else at the Buget Climate Control office who insteaded I didn't understand what was going on and things got confused and once again I couldn't hire a handyman to fix it and they wanted to try to earn our business.
To make a very long story a little shorter I told Buget I was not doing business with them. I have someone I've been using for years.
I received another call from the Buget office and a very nasty VM and pictures of a crack in the heater from Larry.
In the end our lisenced plumber, heating and cooling expert replaced the furnace and got a completed inspection from the city, but he said it DID NOT have any cracks in it. He also completely took the old furnace apart in our garage to see if we could see any cracks, there are none! Not sure where Larry got the picture from that he sent me.
And 5 days later we are still waiting for the city and gas company to contact us. Thank goodness there was NOT a leak!
We would have to have replaced the furnace eventually because it was older, but it didn't have to be done right away. They won't be in business long if this is the way they try to earn people's business!

After returning to our home and finding the AC not working in our downstairs, we called Budget to see the soonest they were able to come out and fix our system. Charles arrived that afternoon, and was able to fix our unit with no problem at all. He was fast, efficient, and competent in his work. We were able to get our unit up and running that same day.

WARNING!! This company deserves ZERO stars. Not only did they do a horrible job installing my Master Cool, they did a crappy job on my plumbing. I have had to call them numerous times to come out because my cooler set to high didn't even feel like it was running. My house never cooled past 88 degrees. But when the tech did come out he yelled at me and told me it was working just fine and left. It took numerous calls and finally the owner came out but that was in Oct. He said he fixed the problem but how is anyone to know if a cooler is working when it is already cool outside. Fast forward to time to use the cooler again. My copper tubing broke. I am told that is my fault and even though everything is under warranty if I want it repaired I have to pay them. The tech puts me on speaker phone with the owner Jesse and he tells me he won't fix it unless I pay. When I bring up the fact that that we don't even know if it will work and that my house was almost 90 degrees last summer he says it's not my fault you don't know how to turn on your cooler so I say I so know how so says well if you want your house cool you should pay for refrigerated air. I walked away from that conversation and was going to fix it myself. I go to Samon's, Lowes, and Home Depot only to find out that the size copper tubing they used is no longer made. I doubt that just happened in the last year because every employee at those three stores looked at me like I was crazy for looking for that size. These people are horrible and don't know how to treat customers. Please be warned you will regret using them.

Outstanding! I called on Labor Day, they came out checked out the system then added freon to my central air unit. It was the first time I've used them. Their service call was most professional;  they answered all my questions, the bill was significantly less than I expected or thought it should really be. The best part of the visit was discovering that I had found an honest company that I can feel most confident about calling in the future. I recommend them highly.

We bought a new -- pricey -- swamp cooler from these folks last year, and when we tried to start it up again this year, it wouldn't stay on.  A trusted handyman looked at it and checked out all electrical components for the house and deemed there to be a problem with the motor, but didn't want to touch it for fear of breaking the warranty.  We called the company and were told nobody could see us until mid-week, and we sweat it out quite literally.   Adam showed and proceeded to determine that the cooler was fine -- it was the breaker.  We protested saying that the breaker had been checked. He started to charge us $90 for the diagnosis, and after talking it through some time he decided not to -- we all decided that we would call our electrician to see if it was in fact the breaker.  Our electrician came by immediately after and said that it was not the breaker and we should never consider upping the voltage of the breaker as Adam had recommended.  I immediately called Adam to see what next steps could be, and he said he'd come by at the end of the day.  He did not.  We called twice the next day, and the first time he said he'd call back, and didn't.  Then he told us that our cooler was no longer under warranty, even though we had purchased it within the last year.  He still said he would call us back and never did.  Finally, another handyman friend put oil in two places in the motor, and now we are cool  and happy.  We never heard back from Budget Climate Control even to see what the resolution to our problem was.  We experienced an overall lack of professionalism, poor customer service, and poor ethics, and frankly they seemed to think that we enjoyed sitting in the heat and thought of having to replace our cooler again.  I went to my friend who recommended these guys to us in the first place and she said she had also had a bad experience in the past year.

Very pleasant and stress free experience. Service tech Shawn is very professional. He called ahead of time and was on time. Resolved my pluming issue in a timely manner and was very clean and courteous. I'm very pleased with the results and would definitely recommend Budget Climate Control to anyone. I had company coming for the holiday weekend. I had not used my air conditioner until the day before only to discover it would not cool. After calling 5 or 6 companies that had good yelp ratings, I made an appointment with a technician at Budget. I was told on the phone that the diagnostic cost was  approximately $70.00 which I agreed to pay. Once the pressure was taken to determine that the unit needed freon, the technician opened his iPad to reveal my choices for service. They ranged from a quick fix at around $500.00 up to a continued maintenance which was around $2100.00. Their were four plans to select from. I was desperate to make certain that my company was comfortable and chose the cheapest option that I could.   After I signed an agreement to pay that amount he looked up the price of freon and told me that it's cost fluctuates like gas and that it had gone up! (Wait didn't I pay for that with my quick fix plan?) By the time he left my home, about an hour later, the air conditioner was working well. When he added the service call fee to my quick fix fee I owed over 600.00. I certainly don't mind paying for service, an hourly wage and materials but I felt like I had been scammed!!

Just a warning before you call these people!!

This year (2017)was our pre-season service year for our central A/C. They came out promptly the week after making an appointment. They did do a thorough inspection of the unit. They did identify a couple of potential problems although the unit was working. The quote for the proposed worked seemed excessive but we did go ahead as one was an electrical component problem. They used our hose the clean the compressor and cleared away anything that might be in their way regarding service of the unit. The main complaint is that they did not clean up the mess created, did not put the hose back or replace the items moved. After the fact, I did check on competitors pries for the same service and found BCC to be on the upper end of the scale.

I called a couple weeks ago because my furnace needed to be repaired and a tech came out and fixed it and I haven't had a problem since! YAY WE ARE WARM! I will always call them for any heating cooling or plumbing needs.

Highway Robbery at its finest.  Yes, I should have done my research, but I thought more people had integrity in this world.  I am very disappointed that I paid 4X for the same service others could have done, I understand that it is the heat of the summer (100 plus degrees), but this would be the time for a local business to act honeslty

I hired BCC to help get my swamp cooler started in the spring and shut down in the fall. Not the easiest roof to climb, but they've always done it. Good service, nice people.

Our furnace gave out on us on a weekend. Jacob came out, same day, to look at it (and fix if possible). A weekend call does cost extra, but that is a given  with any company. The part needed to be ordered, so Monday I got a call from them, without me having to check in with the company, and they advised they were getting the part and would be over. Charles kept in touch with me throughout the day, and I never had to wonder when they would arrive. Charles was great! Very personable. Stayed to make sure everything worked well. Didn't rush the job. Very impressed with this company and especially their communication. Would recommend to anyone and would def use again, God forbid something breaks in the future. Very competitive.

AC went out last night. Came across their info and saw they opened at 8am. Called at 7:45am expecting Vm and pleasantly surprised by a real person answering the phone and scheduling the appointment for today between 10 and noon. At 10:30 received a call from the tech saying he would be there closer to 11:30 but just wanted to let me know. Wow! Called again when he was on the way. AC repaired at very reasonable price and explained some maintenance I should do. He was done around 1ish. Wow. Happy customer for sure!

We called Budget Climate Control because our refrigerated air unit was not working.  Initially, the tech said that the board was defective and said that it had to be ordered and would cost approximately $1000 - they immediately charged our credit card close to $500 and would charge the other half after installation.  He came later in the week, installed it, and said that the unit still wasn't working so replacing the board was not the problem.  He called his boss to analyze the problem.  His boss came and found out the problem was caused by dirty coils.  The next day, they cleaned the coils and that remedied the problem.  The boss said that they would issue a credit for the $500 since the board was not the problem.  Well, two weeks or so go by and no credit for the $500.  Not only that - they never bothered to mail me an invoice for the work done.  We finally called them and told them we needed the invoice and the $500 credit minus the labor.   Turns out we got charged over $300 for the labor.    We had to beg for the invoice (materials and labor costs not even broken down) and finally received it - the labor was not quite $300.  So here we go again having to beg for a $35 credit.  The folks have issues diagnosing problems, and also have big problems with their accounting.  Be aware!!!!

I called them for an inspection told me over the phone that it was $69.99 . The tech came He checked on my central air unit and determined that my compressor was bad,  and said that it needed to be replace . He quoted me between $2,000 and $2,600 for a new condensor . But I got a second opinion and ended up paying only $600.00  for a new capacitor

Couldn't be happier with my service from Budget Climate Control.  Our technician, Freddy, was incredibly responsive and patient.  He worked through problems with the parts supplier until the required part finally arrived.  He did a fantastic job, and was very professional and courteous.  I HIGHLY recommend this company based on my experience with them.

This company is unprofessional, never on time and more than once has not shown up at all and said we were not on the schedule . They came out a couple of months ago LATE and charged over 300 and didn't repair what they came to repair and spent 3 hours not doing the job.

We paid for the yearly service and now that they have the money they don't provide the service. We scheduled them today because my wife had surgery and I need to be here on a day I'm not working. They were to order a part,  repair and turn on our heater. They didn't do any of that. They were to be here between 8&10. It's after 11 and Adam can't say if anyone is coming. His excuse is that he's standing in water repairing a furnace and Budget did not add our job to his schedule. He said he would call us back & hung up. He hasn't yet as our day once again ticks by. We will never use Budget again.

what a great experiecw having someone to come to your home and know exactly what they are doing and get the job done right and make you feel like you didnt get shafted.

my service pro tim was polite,knowledgeable and speedy getting my refridgerated air unit back up and running.....if I ever need service again I will ask for his sevice by name.

he diagnosed the problem in minutes...knew and executed exactly what needed to be done and we shared a couple laughs in between.

I defnetly reccommend this company for your air cooling and heating needs.....GREAT JOB!

My wife and I recently purchased our first house and have never dealt with a swamp cooler. I called this morning because we were having a cooling issue with our swamp cooler after the summer set up. Full disclosure, this company came out to do our summer set up and the last few weeks the unit doesn't cool down the house (it reads 90 outside and 87 inside). Adam, came out this second time around and explained that the employee who set up our unit was let go do to bad workmanship. So Adam said he would make right what was done incorrectly. I couldn't be more pleased with his service. Initially, not only did he fix the issue but let me know that our water line ran through the attic space and Adam re routed it down the roof and connected it outside. He then took me on the room and showed me how the cooler works and how I could do simple maintenance myself. Adam also gave me his number in case anything ever happens I could call him personally, and if I needed, he'd talk me through maintenance. I can say, Adam and this company are stand up. He acknowledged that the employee who came out initially did a bad job and missed some things. I was only charged for the parts for the re routed water line. No labor. No diagnostic fee. I even got a 25% off duct cleaning. I recommend this company for all cooler related needs as they are knowledgable, friendly, and honest.

Nick the plumber installed my garbage disposal and got some gook out of the pipe in the kitchen and bathroom sink. I was happy with the entire process from start to finish. I was expecting to pay more but I was charged very fairly, and I feel he went above what is expected. He advised me for my next project so i can plan appropriately, I will use again.

Decided to be proactive this year and have them come out for a pre-season service on central A/C. They came the same day I called and Bill was great to deal with. He did a thorough job, caught what probably would have been some problems and answered all my questions clearly. So far, these are my go to guys for all things HVAC and, probably, plumbing. Prices seem reasonable, too.

They came within hours of my phone call to fix our hot water heater. We had no hot water and Leonard knew exactly what the problem was and how to fix it. Somehow they got parts for my 10 year old hot water heater and fixed it so we could have dinner and get back to normal that afternoon. Very clear explanation and fair pricing. Will definitely use them again. Professional and clear explantion to both my wife and me. I highly recommend them! Thank you Damian and Leonard!!
