Michael's Plumbing Heating & Air

Garbage disposal quit working and was leaking.  Called Michael's Plumbing and they set me up for a appointment the next day.  Excellent customer service.  They called within the assigned time frame to let me know the plumbing technician was on his way.  
Greg showed up, assessed what was going on and quoted a price for replacing the disposal, including labor.  Price was very reasonable and the job was done within 45 minutes.   Would definitely use Michael's Plumbing again.

I have mixed feelings about my experience. More like 3.5 stars than 4.
The gal on the phone to book appointment was pleasant & the cost to come out was told upfront. $169 first hour and $58 each additional 1/2 hour. We had a water hammer pipe noise issue. Bill arrived at 8:30 for an 8-10 time window with a call prior to make sure we were ready. That was great. Bill arrived with no mask. I have asthma so I was concerned about his lack of mask with covid still a concern. I asked him if he had one to which he said yes, in truck, want me to get it? Yes, which is why I asked & was myself wearing a mask out of respect for him entering my home as well. He came back with a thin scarf under his nose & didn't say a word which made it uncomfortable. I led him through the house to turn on water & show him noise. He said nothing. I then led him to the other bathroom to ask if he had time to fix a small valve leak we noticed after we made appointment. He said no, I don't have parts & walked out. He proceeded to check the water pressure. My husband was with him & Bill started to loosen up a bit. Talked more so it wasn't as tense, thank goodness. In the end Bill was an OK guy but the mask thing seemed to upset him a bit. We ended up needing a water pressure regulator. No more pipe noise but now the water pressure is so low. I think I got used to it really high so it will take time to adjust or it should have been set just a tad higher. He also replaced the little tank above the water heater. Our total cost was $589. I would use this company again although I feel that out of respect for everyone involved their plumbers should come to the door with a mask & ask the homeowner if they want them to wear one or not.

Mike came out at 9:00 pm on a Sunday when we discovered a leak in our wall.  Was super responsive and had our issue resolved in less than 2 hours.  Would definitely recommend

They came over to fix problem, left said would be back tomorrow . That was 3 months ago . Called agAin last week lady said would call me back. Nope . Use to be good but now not so much

Michael wasn't available right away, but he stayed in contact with me on a weekend day, knowing he was my backup, in case the first plumber I had arriving, was unable to complete the task.  I would easily call Michael again.

My family recommended Michael's. New to Reno, I needed two bathroom redo's in my new condo.
They removed old sinks and toilets, installed new sinks I'd ordered from Home Depot.
They suggested buying better quality, taller seat toilets.
Their work was excellent! Good communication throughout.
They also recommended the tile company for new floors and install. Was very pleased with that as well.
Highly recommended.

I contacted this company because I've noticed a sticker on the furnace, I had a problem with
short cycles The guy came promptly and diagnosed that control board needs to be replaced and provide me with a quote for $900-1000 just for that part. Internet shows several boards
for my furnace D90 with the price range $90-150. I paid diagnostic fee only after discussing it with their office and called a different Reno Co, who did replaced the board and charged me a total of $507. I believe its much more reasonable , even I paid 4X price for the part, but at least not 10X times !!
Do not recommend to use this co., unless you are a Powerball winner ( Good Luck with that)

Good company to deal with.  Very accommodating with a dulling and service. Gives military discount. I've used them to replace  my water heater and Brittany the scheduler worked with our schedule. Then had to use them to repair my heater. They even  lent us a space heater whille we waited for our part  to come in. Would recommend to anyone.

I put my house on the market and went through the inspection process. In the inspection the Tank-less Water Heater did not pass. Michael's Plumbing (Michael) wouldn't take my call and told his receptionist to tell me that it passed the original inspection so they were not going to do anything to rectify the/my situation. The realtors had to get involved by sending emails (paper trail), only then did he send out a guy to fix the bad install. I would never hire this company ever again. They do not honor their word, their work or anyone else's time and money.

Very disappointed in Michael's Plumbing. Waited for 11 days to get an appointment.  We were very thorough telling them what work we needed, and we also had all the supplies we needed to complete the work. The technician came, and worked for two hours in our kitchen, then announced that we would need to make another appointment ourselves for the remaining work in the bathroom. No shower help provided at all. He left. This was the 8th of the month. We were told that they could come back on the 24th. We were shocked. No shower until then? Two hours is all we were given? $300+ bill. When we complained to the scheduler, they called us back saying the owner Leslie said they could fit us back in NEXT FRIDAY. (another week?)  Not satisfied. Not recommending Michael's Plumbing. DID NOT FINISH THE JOB....

Cold weather sucks....I had two of my pipe joints crack under my manufactured home and every plumber that I called wouldn't answer their own phone or if they did, could not come out until the next day.  Michael's has some very professional ladies that answered and also listened to my my needs.  They immediately scheduled a plumber to come out; the plumbers themselves were VERY professional and courteous...heck, I even got a senior discount without even asking him for it!  If possible, ask for Jerry - even though he was very sociable and friendly, he worked very quickly; was very knowledgeable; and honest (hope he doesn't get mad because this results in tons of people asking for him).  Considering the mess that he had to work with and the time he put in, I was charged a very reasonable rate.  These guys are definitely my go-to in case I have a problem next time.  In fact, I had to replace a heating cross-over and without hesitation, called them and got the same experience.

Third service call on three different forced air furnaces in seven years.  Today's problem was odd behavior by the furnace controller, which turned out to have been caused by four factors that, when combined, but only when combined, caused the controller to shut down the burner.  If it had not been for the high degree of experience of the service technician, it would have been impossible to alleviate the problem on-site.  As it was, a series of small adjustments, and a homeowner fix to a damaged flue, were all that were required.  Very reasonable charges for an emergency call-out:  One hour drive time plus two hours working on-site for a total of $252.  Also, the local office had a complete record of the previous call-outs and knew what installed equipment we had.  Came the same day as called.  Arrived exactly on time (to the minute) for the appointment.

I have used Michael's Plumbing on a couple occasions now, and I have to say their great service is consistent. We had our water heater replaced by them a year and a half ago and then also had them fix a leak on one of our exterior hose bibs. Both times the service techs arrived on time, were very knowledgeable and got the job done within the estimated time they provided.  We had gotten quotes from other plumbers in town on replacing our water heater and their price was the most reasonable. If you want honest, reliable, friendly plumbers that get the job done, I highly recommend Michael's Plumbing.

They quickly found my AC problem (a burnt wire ) and fixed it. The weather was very hot and they responded quickly. Thank You

Michael's service-people always show up on time and they call when they're on their way. We had our swamp cooler serviced and the motor replaced recently. They quickly determined what the problem was and we were back up and running within an hour of them showing up. Their staff is friendly and helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to call them again.

They were excellent.  Mark explained everything and fixed it all.  Extremely professional & honest.  We appreciate you guys.

They sent out a tech right away and we were impressed by the response. The tech seemed confident he could repair a couple separate problems we had.

He spent 4 or 5 hours working on them charged us several hundred dollars and we were glad those things were finally fixed. However about a week later it became apparent nothing had been repaired.

Phoned them back left a message. Finally the tech phoned back and said he didn't think a repair was possible and he should just replace everything and now it would cost $1,000+ for a couple of fixtures. Red flags everywhere; bad decision to use these guys.

I told him he could repair at least one of the problems with a simple inexpensive part replacement. He said he would order the part and be out the next week. We didn't hear from him again for 10 days. So I had to phone them back to find out what was going on. He apparently forgot about us and said he would be out in a couple of days.

So he came out at a different time than was scheduled, while I was not there, replaced the part and left a bill for an additional several hundred dollars.

Where's my credit for the first repair that he didn't do right? LOL  They think they have an entitlement to be paid for incompetence.

Recommend anyone not use them.

Called Michaels Plumbing on a recommendation from a friend to help us out with a problem we were having with our new water heater. The plumber that came out was named John and he was very knowledgeable, friendly and sympathetic to our problem. The brand new water heater  turned out to be defective and he handled the entire issue with the manufacturer. It should have been an easy transaction but as luck would have it, the manufacturer sent wrong part out... then the replacement for that part was delayed because they actually never sent it on the day they said.. Through this whole time (a good 5 days) John was on top of everything. I highly recommend this plumbing company. They care and they know their business!

We had an unusual request to add an on demand recycling pump to our tankless water heater. Michael (owner) came
out himself for the evaluation and install. Unlike many past experiences with plumbers working with Michael and his team was a pleasure. This was a procedure that they did not perform on a regular basis. Having done the research they  professionally handled the install. On time and meticulous  I would highly recommend them for any plumbing needs. Cost effective by doing it right the first time.

I bought a stove from Lowe's and they sold it to me without a cord. I called Michael's and they sent Jason out and he put a new cord on it and fixed my fuse box. Here's a guy that really knows what he's doing. I liked them so much they're coming out Tuesday to check out my water heater keep up the good work!

We had some water damage and mold in our garage that extended behind our HVAC unit. In order for it to be cleaned up, the entire unit had to be moved. The insurance had Michael's Plumbing Heating & Air come out and do the work. When they put it back after the mold was cleaned up, they re-wrapped the duct work, re-insulated it and analyzed everything to make sure it was all properly working. Alex and the other technicians were extremely professional and friendly and did an excellent job explaining the work and getting things back up and running.

We contacted several plumbers in the Reno Sparks area to replace our existing water heater with a tankless water heater, and Michael's was on of the 3 that actually responded. They answered several questions that we had regarding their company, and their processes.
The day before and the prior to the actual estimate appointment time we received calls from the office for confirmation.
Michael came out himself to perform the estimate. I told him that I wanted to install a Noritz tankless water heater, and even though he had not installed the model we wanted, he assured me that they could install it without issues. He walked me through the process of the removal and installation of the tankless. With parts, labor and permit. When asked how soon could this be done Michael informed me of their schedule, and indicated that it would be a 2.5-3 weeks from the time the proposal was excepted. I appreciated the honesty here, we were not in an emergency situation, and had no problem waiting a couple weeks.
The day before and the morning of the install, we received calls from their office for confirmation, so they could dispatch their crew.
Their crew was set to arrive between 7:30 and 8:30 in the morning, and arrived close to 8. We showed them to the work area and let them do their thing. Several hours later, we had a new tankless water heater installed in our garage. David, the supervisor, went over the remote and how to raise/lower the water temp as needed. He also allowed us to video him, when he explained how to perform the required service of the unit.
There were two hic-ups to the install. 1) two of the pipes caulking were not completed and 2) the pressure overflow valve in the drive way was not to code. In both instances Michael himself came out and resolved the issue in a few short minutes. Even though the install wasn't perfect I give Michael's 5 stars, because of the excellent service and coming out and addressing the two issue so quickly and professionally.
We will be recommending Michael's to our friends and others that are looking for plumber recommendations.

Great service began with the initial call.  The office gal was on it!  After a brief hold she had me scheduled with the right person to assess my somewhat odd request.  The next day they arrived within the designated time window and set me up for repairs the next day.  The technician arrived as scheduled and was very friendly and professional and charges were reasonable.  I have used Michael's twice now in four years.  First was a plugged drain now this repair.  Very happy with the entire operation.  Will utilize them every time!

This horrible company Flooded my place and of course, Michel said I will pay for everything not going to put it through insurance. Worst mistake ever. He had the most incompetent people come to my house to fix the damage. The plumber was supposed to hook up the stove and dishwasher well he sends me to get a part I should have know better came back to a flooded condo on move in day. The whole thing was a nightmare. Karma is a bitch.

Great guys to work with! Friendly, on time, trustworthy. Kent always returns calls and is very knowledgeable!! I have worked with Michael's on many of my projects and they never disappoint!! Thank you!!

What a fast, efficient  and friendly technician we had. Our heater motor burned out and shut down our heater in the middle of the night. First thing in the morning  I called to get service. I was afraid they would say we'd have someone out in24-48 hours to take a look. No. It was in 4 hours. He came on time and did the troubleshooting- And he had the parts with him in the truck. We had the house warm way before sunset. We are so pleased with Michael's

I request no other. They are Johnny on the spot! I can always rely on them for prompt assistance. I've been working with them for years.
I have them work on my parents home furnace and air conditioning as well.

We have had Michael's since 2013 for our main residence. Each year we purchase their Heat and Air Service Plan for both our Reno homes.

This year, like so many businesses, their service plan jumped from $185 to $220. I called because I thought that was a big jump and because we are long time customers with usually applying a coupon. I was told we would pay $210 for our renewal plan.

Fast forward to the day of servicing when a technician was here working on the our furnace less than 20 minutes. He noticed he was heading to another residence of ours so he said we would settle up over there with the paperwork. By the time we loaded our grandchildren into the car and got to the other residence, which is only about 10 minutes away, he was gone from that residence as well. The billing he left behind indicated a charge of $220 for the second service, as well.
Thinking they would surly correct the error in billing once the paperwork was filed in the office, we waited for the billing to hit our credit card. Today we discovered the charges were $220 on each residence.

I am mediately called and was told someone would call me back to discuss the situation. Phil called me back and I explained my concerns as well as the fact they were many things checked off on the system evaluation that had not occurred. I questioned how he could know there was a carbon monoxide detector installed when he hadn't entered the house? I asked how he could check the thermostat without entering the house? Phil told the tech was advised him that my husband said he would turn up the thermostat. Checking with my husband, he denied any such conversation occurred.

In frustration and exasperation, I asked Phil to credit our account to show that we paid for a winter servicing for both residences and reverse the additional $220 charges for the Spring visit. I explained I was absolutely finished attempting to deal with a  company that didn't keep its word on a price quoted and for servicing we paid for that didn't appear to even happen. Phil also told me the person in the front office I spoke with wasn't authorized to give me any kind of discount.

I would not recommend Michael's Heat N and plumbing to anyone.

Update: I did receive a credit for our summer service. I called Nevada Heating, who currently service our fireplace, and they will be happy to add us and become our new Heat n Air company.

What started out as a valiant effort to replace a leaky faucet progressively turned sour as a 50+ year old plumbing system complete with rust, oxidation, corrosion, and outdated supply line attachments proved to be too much for our weekend warrior project. After 4 trips to Home Depot to get tools for every problem we got roadblocked with, time of death for our project was 4pm on a Sunday. Not an ideal time when you've already shut off the water to the house and taken the shut off valves off the piping under your sink. Luckily, Eric from Michael's plumbing showed up 30 mins after our call to help us put the bathroom back together. He was in and out within an hour, very friendly, very understanding, and did an amazing job--definitely a professional. The cost was extremely reasonable for an emergency after hour weekend call, and we are extremely satisfied with the results.

Our water heater started spewing water on a Sunday evening and Michael's Plumbing was called. Jerry came out to the house within 30 minutes and took care of the issue. He was courteous and kind and we are grateful for his knowledge of what appeared to be a complicated issue. We were charged a fair price and I would call them again.

We recently bought a home and during our inspection, were told they we needed to have the plumbing looked under the kitchen sink and both toilets, as there was moisture damage. Michael's was recommended to us by a friend and they were very professional and easy to work with.

They contacted us to let us know when they were on their way, which was right at the beginning of the window they gave. Chris was helpful and professional and got to work immediately. He even turned on our water for us after TMWA to get it turned on prior to this appointment. He said the kitchen sink was an old leak and no longer an issue, but did indicate that both toilets were leaking. He replaced both wax rings and supply lines in less than two hours. We thought this would be a very expensive fix, and we were pleasantly surprised it was under $400. My dad, who is a handyman, was shocked at the low cost and said we got a really good deal.

We'll definitely be using Michael's again if/when we have other plumbing needs!

Came out short notice on a Saturday to fix a main line sewer back up. Fixed the problem and the price was fair for the job and timing. Would recommend

On Tuesday Jun 20th 2017. A plumber of this company came to the apartments Witch we live. And did some work on a hot water heater upstarts from my best friend in witch we where house sitting cause she was out of town. The plumber was sodering by the hot water heater and we have fire sprinklers in our apartments. The plumber did not CAP the water sprinkle off and set the water sprinkle off in witch flooded the upstairs apartment. And most the water came down to bottom story. And caused a lot of damage. Mike Jared told me and my husband at the scene that if there was any damage that Mikael's Plumbing will be responsible. The home owner has only got the run around. Saying Oh the insurance adjuster will be out asap... by Linda and that has been well over two now weeks and the insurance adjuster still has not been out!!! And my best friend is still sleeping on the couch and has C.O.P.D and Arthis! I know that anyone in is company doesn't live like this so she shouldn't have to eather. I wish that this company will stand by their word and help the best friend.

Furnace stopped working . Alex  came out on Saturday and repaired it . Very  knowledgeable and found the problem fast. Repair was done quickly and at a reasonable cost. Alex  was very professional  and  is an  outstanding representative  of their company !

Plumbing problems are never fun, but especially not when you have a sick little one and it's the weekend!

Our kitchen sink was backing up and coming out the overflow into our laundry room. After we got the initial pool of water cleaned up, I started looking for plumbers to snake the mainline. Michael's plumbing was one of the first I called and were able to come out the same day.

The gentleman who arrived was super friendly and knowledgeable. We showed him where the clean outs were and after less than 20 minutes with the snake, we were free from blockages! We live in an older home, so it is likely that there were just several blockages in the mainline that had built up over time. From inside the house, we could hear The snake running into each one. He took his time making sure to fully clear each stoppage and then continue down the line. After this, he tested our water and drainage in multiple areas of our home. He also gave us some advice on things to do to prevent further blockages like this.

My bill was pricey because I had emergency service on the weekend, but well worth it for the peace of mind and quick fix! Michael's plumbing has a fabulous reputation in our community for a reason! If you're looking for a plumber, hire them!

After 20+ years our garbage disposal finally had it's last rites. Purchased a new one off Amazon (since we are suppose to stay inside). Called Michael's Plumbing...talked to Bree, very helpful since I used this guys when they had the yellow vans  One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning a couple of years back. Also, they installed a kitchen sink faucet too (that guy retired). Bree said she can get Eric out to my house on Friday 04/03. PERFECT!!! Eric arrived on time installed the new garbage disposal and he was very efficient and polite. So polite my 11 year old Akita didn't even so much as barked at him. In and out in less then an hour and a half. As he was leaving I had to chase him down since he left his power drill in my kitchen. So if anything else goes wrong in my house I will most definitely call Michael's Plumbing. They are so awesome!

Needed flat roof drains snaked out to improve drainage. The two workers were on time, competent, worked hard and did a good job. I'd use them again. Getting a quote and paying the bill was very confusing. First I was told it was a time/material quote of $110/hour. When other companies I'd contacted with lower quotes called me and said their quotes would be double because they were sending two men, I called Michaels to confirm their quote. I was told by the office personnel that the job would be at the $110/hr rate, but there would be a diagnostic charge of $25. I knew I didn't need any diagnosis, so I signed up with Michaels since they didn't double the cost. When it came to pay, they did want to double the bill for two men. I said no, and they only charged the $110/hr rate. Good for them, but their office is all screwed up with pricing information.

Of course leave it up to my A/C to act up when we are getting above 100 degrees for days. I called Michales since I have a service contract with them. There 1st appointment was 2 weeks away. I told them I couldn't wait I have a very hairy black dog. They said I could do after hours which would be a higher rate. I didn't care since I needed the service. Alex the tech actually made it out before 5pm so no after hour rate. He was wonderful.  He diagnosed the problem right away but has to order a part. He assured me it was OK to run the a/c but keep the setting at a higher temperature.  He also assured me it has a circuit breaker and it the motor gets to hot it will shut off. He also assured me he would squeeze me in somewhere once he gets the part. I have used them for plumbing as well and electrical.  They are family owned and local. All the technicians have been great. Bri in the office is very helpful and was concerned about my issue as well as my dog.  For people who have seen my other post know I give credit when it is due as well as bad reviews to places that don't deserve them. I haveno problem recommending Michales heating air and plumbing for your needs.

I used Michaels plumbing today for the first time. The technician , Jerry was very prompt and knowledgeable.  I would not hesitate to use them in the future.  Not cheap but most plumbers aren't,

Fantastic company. Everyone we dealt with was kind and helpful. We had a slab leak and had to re-route all our plumbing. A two week job. They were clean, non-invasive and did great work. We were able to stay in the home while the job was being done. They did a great job and again were just the nicest people to work with.

Hired them again to fix a persistent shower leak. Did a great job.

Discovered at 5:00am on a Sunday morning that water was leaking from our upstairs shower and dripping out significantly through the ceiling fan into our downstairs bathroom directly below.

I immediately tried (unsuccessfully) to turn off the water to the house, so I quickly Yelped for 24/7 emergency plumbers.

I called a couple of them and left voice mails. I couldn't even leave a message for one company as the mailbox was full on their emergency phone line (that company was our usual plumber.)

When I called Michael's Plumbing, I knew I found the right plumber as my was call was immediately answered by a live person at an answering service.

Within 15 minutes of that call, their serviceman Mike called me back. He arrived less than 10 minutes later. Our problem was fixed 90 minutes later, which was right about the time I got a call back from another company that I'd left a message for.

Paid $542 for the service and felt that was a good value considering the work was completed before 8:00am on a Sunday. Could've spent a couple hundred dollars less had they done the work during regular business hours Monday through Friday, but unfortunately, this emergency didn't happen during regular business hours.

Tech Mike (not the owner) was a good guy; very professional and courteous. He said I was one of 19 emergency calls he tended to this weekend, and the company always assigns someone to be on-call 24/7 on the weekends, and their answering services texts the on-call person immediately after someone calls with a plumbing emergency.

SUPER grateful to Michael's Plumbing and tech-guy-Mike getting things fixed so quickly on an early Sunday morning and giving me peace of mind.

Looks like Michael's will be our new go-to plumber from now on!

I had an emergency over Thanksgiving and no one could help or answer. My sink was so clogged and the pipes bursted leaking water all over the floor:  I called up Michael's and it was fast, quick,professional, and way better than the competitors.
Plus, they told me that last person who worked on our sink put the incorrect size and that's why we had constant leaks.

Asked for a quote, got charged for $169 for a diagnose fee.  Dishonest company.

I had a fantastic experience with Michael's.  They were able to come out to estimate very quickly, they had the best price I found and they stick with the estimate they give you no matter what the exact work ends up being.  The two guys who did the work were friendly and professional, and the work is perfect and was finished within the time period promised.  Highly highly recommend!

Mike H. is amazing and a true MVP! He handled our situation with care, was very professional and super friendly. As a result of his skills and knowledge, he was able to address our water heater situation that could have been detrimental to our health if not addressed appropriately. We highly recommend Michael's plumbing to anyone seeking quality services!

I woke this morning to a leak in one of the water heater pipes. I called at 8:30 am to ask for their technicians to take care of the issue. They scheduled me for noon -2 pm window but I received a call that they were on their way at 10:20 am.

Cameron and Chris were very friendly and helpful at  figuring out the issue. Chris was helping train Cameron but they worked on fixing the pipe that was damaged quickly.

Chris was proactive and noticed that our wall had water damage and got us connected with a water mitigation business to evaluate the water damage. Chris was very knowledgeable and experienced in several aspects where he identify other things that we should have checked out. We appreciated his insight and helpful recommendations!

On a side note, we were able to get the water mitigation business out to evaluate the damage right after they left. Amazing! Thank you so much!

2nd to me I've used Michael's.  Bothe times very responsive and straight forward service.  Good conscientious work by Chris.  We have hot water again!  Very happy with the response and the job.

My brand new AC that another company installed was not working. I called that company, and even though I'm on their monthly membership plan, they couldn't come. I called 4 other companies and none of them could service a repair for 2 weeks. A relative recommended Michael's.
They sent Alex over in less than 2 hours.

Alex was friendly, efficient and got my AC working again!

Had a leaky bathroom faucet.  Tried to fix it myself.  Didn't go well.  Called Michael's Plumbing and they came out on time.  Had to find a special part which they found.  Saved me a lot of money.  Installed a new shower head.  Everything was done perfectly, with no hassles, and within my budget.  Chris was very professional and pleasant.  I recommend them highly.

I hired this company to because my mom had some plumbing issues at her home. Greg showed up first thing in the morning,checked out the problems and came up with a plan. Greg was very professional he fixed all the problems, was very personable. I was very happy with the company, price was what I expected. Will use them again in the future.

Let me start out with I called Micheal's because I had no pressure in my shower head.  When the receptionist asked me the problem I told her this. Had the plumber come out and the first thing he does is take out the filter, puts it back on and it works. $180. hard lesson to learn. I'm sure this is not the first time this has happened. It would be nice if someone would say have you taken off the filter before we come out? When times are hard it's a hard pill to swallow. What happened to people and companies??

We needed a new air conditioner and heater as the old ones were at least 24 years old. The first company, did an estimate & dropped us like a hot potato without any return calls etc. Michael's was a complete 180*! They called a day before the appointment, the day of and called for follow up. I can't say enough about the EXCELLENT service! Allen came out and did a thorough inspection to ensure all his specs were right and we got the units we needed. He even got us a great deal on an upgraded coil. The install was schedule within a few days. We got the usual pre-checks to confirm our appointment, the were on time! They went above and beyond replacing the ground for a better one, added a safety feature  not in the original estimate, and followed up the next day to set up the inspection. I have NEVER had service this good from an HVAC/ plumbing company! I will recommend them to ANYONE without hesitation. Thank you Michael's Plumbing Heating & Air!

I have used Michael's Plumbing Heating and Air for over 15 years and  need to say again that they are a truly superior company! I have enjoyed their excellent cost effective annual service program and, along the way, new installations. They put in my new hot water heater, replaced my heating system and just recently replaced my old A/C unit. Their installations are top notch and their pricing is appropriate. In particular, I have to give a shout out to technician Mike Kast who has been my main guy over all these years. He is absolutely terrific. It is a real comfort to have consistency with a technician who knows your house. He is knowledgable, dependable, and always lets you know the status of your systems. The office staff is also excellent. After all these years, I am still amazed by the integrity and professionalism of this company.

As homeowners we have used their services for nearly 20 years.  Always reliable, always on time and great at communicating when to expect your workmen the day of scheduled service. Yesterday Jerry came out for a garbage disposal replacement.  He was very personable and listened to our concerns with another plumbing situation and even though he didn't come out for it, made an additional repair for us.  The quality of employees is a true reflection of the owner who we've met.  He has come to our house a few times himself to make sure we're pleased with the work done.  As long as we're in Reno and as long as Michael's is in business we'll be using their services.

My swamp cooler was beginning to leak the last two summers and I wanted to get it replaced or repaired before I had other major problems like replacing the ceiling for water damage. Mike came out a week before the install and gave me an estimate, a contract I signed and returned to him.  I explained to Mike that I was retired and on a limited income, and his price came in very affordable at less than $1800.  His two technicians showed up on time, they were friendly, and courteous, and kept me informed of the job. I had an issue with the controller not working on high-speed for cooling or just vent. Mike took control of the issue and sent their sister company, electrician, out to troubleshoot and fix the issue. I didn't have a problem with the delay because I was having this work done before the heat hits in Reno. I would highly recommend this company for their excellent work and great pricing. They handle the winterized and reinstate of your swamp cooler at less than $90. (2x/year) each trip. Thank you Mike and your team for making me a happy customer!

Our downstairs furnace went out last week.  Called Michaels because they have done other work in our house and we trust them to be accurate and fair.  We had to wait several days because they are really busy but was willing to do so as I did not want to risk using another service.  The technician showed up today and had it up and running in less than a half hour.  While he was in there he cleaned a few things in addition to fixing the faulty part to save us having to have them out again later.  Socially distanced and covid conscious and the guy clearly knew what he was doing.  My neighbors have used them as well in the past and had nothing but great things to say.  Highly recommend

I noticed our hot water supply was running out faster than normal this last few days. We rent a house, so we notified are landlords and they promptly told us a company would be stopping by that same day. There dispatch called us almost immediately and gave us a window of time for a tech to stop by, roughly 11am-1pm.
The tech, Eric, called early in that two hour window and gave me an approx time when he would be there and he was within 5 min or so of that time. Eric arrived and promptly gave me a knowledgable and easy to understand break down of what the problem was and what the fix would be. As the water heater was original to the house, even though  it had some replacements over time, it was over 20 years and ultimately needed replacement. Our wonderful landlords talked to Eric, and after some valid questions, told him to go ahead with the replacement.
Eric called his dispatch and they were able to get another technician to come do the job same day as he had a cancellation. Eric assisted in prepping the old water heater for removal while Sean (hope I spelled it right) came to our rescue. Sean arrived and took over the installation as Eric had other obligations. I asked for a time frame as we had errands to run and was given 3 hours, and it matched up with the amount of time the work took to complete. When finished, Sean explained the work he had done and it looked safe and well done. He left no mess whatsoever and was such a nice guy.
Both guys were professional, knowledgable, down to earth, and friendly. We will definitely use them when we have our own home and would be happy to recommend them to anyone.

We needed a gas line replaced and some connections repaired.  Our propane company had detected a leak between our dryer and hot water heater.  This was an add-on room the previous owner had done, which had some funky plumbing. I had gotten some recommendations through our online neighbor group and saw 5 reviews of Michael's. We have a budget, so I needed to get an estimate of possible costs before selecting a plumber. Michael's was upfront about their costs, which I was grateful for.  I had called other companies and had a hard time getting basics nailed down, like hourly charges and general range of costs.  Jerry from Michael's replaced the line and connections, and got our system back to code. While he was there he took a few minutes to replace the hot and cold hose bibs for the washer. He was knowledgeable, fast, and answered our questions.  We also got an unexpected senior discount. I will go to Michael's for any  future (fingers crossed, we won't have any) plumbing needs.

Michael's Plumbing was great.  They didn't leave us waiting for a week without water.  Came the next day got our Freeze Protected Hose Bib changed out and installed properly.  Showed me how to adjust the nut so it doesn't leak and just a absolute pleasure to work with!  Professional and knowledgeable.

We were unlucky enough to have our AC go out during record breaking heat in Reno. We called numerous companies once we woke up to realize just how hot the house had gotten and out of ten companies called, only three were able to get us in during the weekend for repair.  

Michael's was able to get us in about 5 hours after our first call of the morning instead of having to wait to the next day when both of the other companies would have been able to get us help.

Grant with Michael's arrived quickly, was professional and efficient.  He fixed the problem immediately and knew the problem without any delay.  One quick fix later, the cold air was flowing through the house again and all was well in the world.

Called about our A/C on our commercial warehouse in April and got an appointment for 3 weeks out. I wanted to get this fixed before our tenant moved in on June 1, 2021. Alex came out and determined that we didn't need a new air conditioner. The thermostat was not wired correctly for the air conditioner. That was on May 14, 2021. Alex said we just needed to have the ducting repaired and he would probably be able to come out the following week. I called the next week to schedule an appt and was told that I couldn't schedule because the bid was not in. I have spoken with both Breanne and Brittany and they are very nice but nothing ever comes of the phone calls. The last time I spoke with Breanne, I said I knew this was not a big job and asked if I should look elsewhere to have it fixed and she said no. Since that time, I have not received any communication with this company. Not very good business!

My wife and I have not needed a plumber in years. This week we experienced 2 plumbing failures in a 24 hours period in our 4 year old home.
Not aware of a good plumbing business we sought the advice of knowledgeable individuals who know the trades. Michael's Plumbing was recommended by multiple individuals familiar with their work. They were prompt, actually, able to move the appointment time up. Mike J, the owner, and John arrived and identified the total problems and best solutions in minutes.  They worked efficiently and effectively to complete the work in a professional and timely manner.

Props to Michael's Plumbing for great customer service from start to finish. Calling to make an appointment was seamless, and the communication leading up to their arrival kept me in the loop. I also appreciated that they asked for pictures in advance, so that they could speed up the repair process and bring with them all the parts that would be needed from the beginning.
Jake the technician was also wonderful, and clearly explained my options and their respective costs before starting any work. He provided advice without pushing anything, which can be a hard line to walk sometimes. Unfortunately for me, I needed more repairs than expected, but the transparency along the way was greatly appreciated!

I had a very clogged sink. I called them and they could not come out for two days. I kind of panicked. They said that they could do after hours for an up charge. I opted for that. They ended up being able to show up the same day early so I didn't have to pay the up charge. They did a great job. Hopefully I won't have anymore problems anytime soon but when I do I will definitely call them again.

I've used them in the past for my air conditioner and they did a great, reasonable job. I had to call again today because my water heater stopped working. Paul came out, on time and same day service. He checked it out. He had the right parts to fix it in his truck, probably because Christie (who answered the phone) asked the right questions. He repaired the problem, was professional, courteous and didn't even charge extra for all the help my dogs gave him.  I highly recommend Michael's.

We had a leak at the main line for the house and irrigation that we didn't know about and then saw significant water pooling near the main line. It was a Saturday of course and Michael's Plumbing was the only one that could come the same day. Eric arrive around 5pm and managed to determine the leak and order the parts for the repair.  We were lucky that we could still use the domestic line until they could get back out on Wednesday to do the repair. Eric came at the designated time and completed the repair but would still need to come back the next day to make sure it sealed properly before we turned everything.  Thurs comes and at 7pm Eric is knocking on our door to confirm everything is working.  I was beside myself that he still showed up and didn't come the next morning. After determining everything worked, he still had another job to go to!  Eric and Michael's Plumbing were amazing and I highly recommend them!

I was referred to Michael's Plumbing by a friend.  I needed a new garbage disposal.  I purchased the item and Eric installed it.  He was quick and clean and also very pleasant to talk to.  He answered my questions and even showed me a few things under my sink to look out for.  I will definitely use them again.  Briana (sp?) the young lady who took the service call was very friendly too and called me to keep me updated on Eric's arrival.  They also have another company called The Electric Company which he told me about and gave me a coupon for so I will definitely be calling for new light fixture installation.  It cost $106 (with the $10 off coupon) and I was totally fine with that.

Work was ok, nothing fantastic. Could've left area in better shape. Then to boot - the billing dept. kept getting the charges wrong (overcharging) - even though I went over everything numerous times. The owner is Ok until it comes to fixing the money mess. Wouldn't use them ever again.

We used Michael's Plumbing as they were recommended to us, and what a great experience.  We had a broken hose bib and a swamp cooler we wanted to service and start-up for the season.  We were able to get on the scheduled in a timely fashion.  The day of the appointment we were notified the technician could come earlier than scheduled - a pleasant surprise!  Our technician, Eric, did a great job, explained why hose bib was cracked and what to watch out when starting up the swamp cooler.
The time and cost was exactly as was quoted by the office.  Most important Eric did a great job.  As a owner of several rental properties, it can be a challenge scheduling any home maintenance task; this one was not.  Thank you to Michael's Plumbing and Eric!  We will definitely put Michael's Plumbing on our preferred vendor list!

I called Micael's on on a Saturday due to a very low water pressure. Dispatch sent out George and he arrived within 20 minutes of calling. George and I suspected that the low water pressure was due to pressure regulator getting clogged and broken. He went into the crawl space to take a look and before changing it out, he suggested on troubleshooting the main water shutoff. We both went to take a look and found that the city had installed new water meters and left the meter 3/4 turned off. (Left meter is neighbors, right is after George turned it on).

I really appreciate that they not only sent out someone on a timely manner but George's honesty about the actually problem. He could have easily turned on the main water and charged for installing a new pressure regulator.

Michael's installed my air conditioner. Phil was the install tech. He was absolutely amazing. Was able to explain operating instructions in a clear way that the consumer can understand.

After the installation I had questions regarding maintenance. I got a hold of Phil and he went over everything with me. What I really enjoyed about working with Michael's is that they take the time out of their day to make sure you understand the products and services they offer. I was a very pleased customer. Our water heater's expansion tank rusted out causing several leaks to our garage.
Our home warranty company couldn't find anyone to come to our house. So we were left with the task of finding someone on a rainy Saturday.
We called 3 places. Michael's Plumbing called back first. Eric arrived within the hour, he patiently dealt with the warranty company, and replaced our expansion tank with ease. We would definitely recommend Michael's Plumbing and Eric, he chatted, did his job well and explained everything to us.
