PK plumbing was sent out by my warranty company to look at my gas water heater. The first guy came out and said it was old and rusty and needed to be replaced he said he would submit to the warranty company which he did not do. PK sent a different plumber out and said it was old and installed wrong so the warranty company would not cover the repair. He quoted the repair at $1300. The appointment was set for over a week later. I called PK to ask for my quote in writing the rep that answered kept saying she was waiting on the plumber to send it. I finally got it days later but it was not itemized. So I still don't know what I'm paying for. Fast forward to the day of the appointment they show up with NO WATER HEATER and state he could not find the size and I needed to switch to an electric heater. He said he would have the electrician call me in an hour. I have not heard from them since. I will never use PK Plumbing again .

I'm a local realtor and recently met one of PK Plumbing's plumbers at one of my vacant listings. The plumber, Larry, was very communicative (calling me 30 minutes before he would be arriving), punctual and skilled enough to get the job done albeit it was an easy one. I had no issues with their work/competency and initially was very leery based off other reviews here.

I wish we could give half stars - 4.5/5.

Tony was an excellent representative from PK Plumbing.  Very courteous and professional.  He started the job and worked throughout the day until the job was completed.  He never  disturbed the household as he did his repairs.  I was pleasantly surprised going through what I thought would be a very stressful process.  My belief in quality customer service has been restored.

This company was sent to me through my home warranty company. the first man who was sent to my house was friendly enough, but i needed a complete new water heater so he said that would take 3-5 days.  fast forward to 17 days later.... a different guy from the company shows up to put in my new water heater. while he was looking for my water shut off he somehow ended up in my BEDROOM, which i am less than pleased about!! he yelled at my dog, saying he was afraid he might get bit. (newsflash, if you are a strange man in my house, it is best not to yell at my guard dog who is here to protect me and my family!!!) He had to leave to get parts, (keep in mind that someone else from this company was already been in my home and noted what was needed to complete this job), returned 45 minutes later, and made a complete mess.  keep your sanity and go with someone competent.

My water heater started making less hot water and needed to be looked at.  I had to use PK plumbing due to my warranty company.  They first came to my home on November 18th to tell me I needed a lower element.  I was charge $100 as per my warranty deductable.  I was told they would have to order the part.  Fast forward 10 days, they never called me I had to call them to find out they had the part.  The plumber then came out December 1st to replace the lower element.  While he was there the plumber told my aunt he forgot to turn the electricity off to my water heater, causing it to spark.  He then turned off the electricity and replaced the lower element. After he left I went from some hat water to no hot water at all.   I then had to call the warranty company to complain or get a response since PK plumbing rarely picks up the phone and does not return messages.

The warranty company sent a new plumber out for me to find out PK Plumbing burned out my water heater and I needed a new one due to the PK Plumbing's plumber's mistake.  I had to pay out more money for the 2nd plumber's work hours to replace my water heater, paying $275 outside of the initial money paid to PK plumbing. Also, the 2nd plumber let me know my house would have burned down due to the initial job of PK plumbing.  So due to PK plumbing I am out of $375 instead of $100.

I had a leak into the basement from my bathtub. I called my home warranty and they assigned my claim to PK Plumbing. The plumber Steve, came out and took a five minute look at it and said it can only be repaired by ripping out the wall and the warranty will not cover any of the tile work to replace the wall once the leak is fixed. The plumber said he'll fix the leak but leave the hole in my wall for me to have repaired. I was dumbfounded and not sure how he could come to this conclusion without touching or looking at anything at all so I posted on a handyman Facebook group with many plumbers who all agreed this didn't sound correct with the video I uploaded. They all believed the leak to be coming from the drain. I had a different plumber come out and give me a second opinion and he actually fixed my leak in 5 minutes!! No need to rip anything out as it was just a seal around the tub drain. PK Plumbing is shady and Steve is dishonest and out to rip off the warranty company (and the customers along the way). My warranty company agreed to waive the service call fee and will be looking into the shady practices of this company. I would never allow them to step foot into my home again.

Was a referral from our warranty company. The WORST service I have ever experienced. Approximately 15 business days to get a Hot Water Heater installed with 3 days for shipping of equipment from warranty company. Then the day the water heater is installed nobody in the office is able to call/file for a permit inspection or provide a permit # because person is out sick. Installer did a nice job however if you are on a schedule for a home sale and closing I would advise to look elsewhere.

Very poor service!

Came to house 3 times. Each time, stayed only 5 minutes and said they had to order a part. They only came back the second and third time when I hounded them. To date, the job is still unfinished.

PK Plumbing, what a waste of time and money! The only words that come to mind to describe PK Plumbing are unethical and incompetent. I called my home warranty company (HWA Home Warranty) because I had a leak in my tub/shower faucet. They then dispatched PK Plumbing to my home. It turned out to be a frozen valve that the plumber claimed he couldn't fix at the time because he needed to open up the wall in my office to be able to access the pipes. Not knowing much about plumbing, this seemed to make sense to me. He called the warranty company for approval but couldn't do the work for another week. It was apparently a four hour job. This whole time I'm living in my home without running water; only turning it on as needed. I begged the plumbing company and then the warranty company to help me to find a way to move up the date due to the lack of running water but no one was able to help.

Tuesday the 19th finally arrived. I took a vacation day to be available. Steve the plumber arrived. He said he still couldn't access the pipes because the desk that was built into the wall was blocking access to the pipes and I needed to call someone in to get it removed. Insurance doesn't cover this. He called the plumbing company back to reschedule. Yes, I'm waiting yet another week for him to return. It will be two and a half weeks living without constant running water.

I scheduled a contractor to come out and remove the desk that was built into the wall. He did within minutes. Then then truth came out. He called me upstairs and apologized for not measuring first, which was not needed based on what I asked him to do based on what the plumber told me to do. There was no need to remove the desk from the wall at all!! The shower pipes were about 12 to 18 inches to left of the desk, leaving the plumber plenty of access.

If needless destruction to my office wasn't enough, the contractor then said there was no need to access the pipes at all. This, of course, was after he opened up the wall to fix the leak that the plumber was unable to fix in the first place. All that was needed was for the valve to be pulled out of the faucet from the front of the wall, which the plumber said he couldn't do. The contractor graciously asked if I wanted him to do it. I, of course, said yes. The thought of having running water again was quite appealing. Not to mention the plumber had lost all credibility in my eyes.

Shower leak fixed. Water is on. All is well in my home again, except for the fact that I need to repair the hole in the wall in my office and figure out how to repair the desk that was destroyed.

PK Plumbing is inept at best. They needlessly had me destroy a room in the name of price gouging the home warranty company for unnecessary work, at least that's what I believe. What other reason would a plumber have to not know where pipes are located?!

I would never, in good conscious, recommend PK Plumbing to anyone for anything, ever. Neither PK Plumbing nor HWA Home Warranty expressed any sense of urgency nor any sense of customer service. I paid $100 for the original call. I lost one vacation day. I paid a contractor, outside of my warranty coverage, to repair something that should have been repaired by a covered vendor. And on top of all of that, I'll be spending a good sum of money to make repairs to the unnecessary destruction in my home office based on PK Plumbing's directive.

My sump pump stopped working and HWA sent PK plumbing out.  1st they didn't show up until I called the company, she had to look it up and then assigned to one of their guys.  When the guy came he said I can't do anything with this because it's filled with water.  They were suppose to talk to warranty company and figure next steps while I drained the water out.  They never called.  I received a bill from warranty for claim.  When I called they said claim was denied because it's not covered.  pK didn't nothing to even diagnose this.
Don't use this company. If your warranty suggests then. Ask for another company

Does anyone else notice how all of the positive reviews for this company have this line (calling me 30 minutes before he would be arriving)? People paying for yelp reviews now? for shame.

I was forced to use PK Plumbing because it was through my Home Warranty (HWA). When I filed a claim, I was told it would be almost a week before someone would come look at the leak in my bathroom, despite the fact that there was water on draining into my basement and over my floor. When the tech (Steve) called and said he was 15 minutes away, I left my office and hurried home. 45 minutes later I called and he was at Taco Bell 15 minutes from my home. When he finally arrived he spent less than 10 minutes looking at my basement, told me he couldn't tell anything, and then told me he was leaving. I insisted that wasn't the acceptable answer he had me run the water from the bath causing the issue and then left, despite me showing him pictures and telling him the issue isn't immediately apparent. DO NOT use this company if you value service. Not a single thing was accomplished, and when I expressed my discontent with the Tech (Steve), he filled out his form in silence, handed it to me, and disappeared.

I went through this company last year as part of the home owners coverage provided when we purchased the home.

The guy who came out was not very presentable. When he snaked my bathtub he did not clean up after himself and I had to clean to sludge off the bathtub walls, sides and even the side of the toilet.

He then fixed my sink that had a cracked pipe. That went ok, but later when I checked there was water all inside the cabinet. It was leaking from somewhere new now. Of course I didn't realize this until after business hours.

I called multiple times the next day but they wouldn't send out anyone but him, and he didn't get to work until after noon. (the girl on the phone was less than helpful.) He came over, turned off the water, and said he didn't have the right part to fix it. He actually had the audacity to tell me it was leaking from somewhere else so 'at least it wasn't something (he) did.' Mind you- it wasn't leaking before he came over. He said he'd have to call my home insurance company and then he never called me back.

I skipped my 'included' coverage and paid for someone competent instead- Byrd plumbing.

Worst service ever - only time i have sent a technician out of my home!  My warranty company sent out PK Plumbing to replace my hot water heater.  The technician informed my wife that when he could not drain the old water heater because of sediment that he would have to punch a hole in the drain pipe with a screwdriver and get out the way.  Additionally, he informed her he would not be responsible for any secondary damage due to the spraying water.  My wife concerned about surrounding electrical outlets, very wisely called me and I spoke to the technician.  I asked him for a better alternative and he informed me of his 26 years of experience and asked me what i thought he should do (with an attitude).  I mentioned he could open the drain and push a snake or rotor rooter up the pipe to loosen the sediment and start the draining. It was clear the question was rhetorical when he then informed me this was how he does it.  On top of this he was rude with my wife and not respectful of my home when he threw a heavy pipe down on my wood floors.  We sent him away and i have another plumber installing my water heater.  I called PK Plumbing to express my concern and they backed up the technician.  Again - worst service ever.

This company is the company that was dispatched to us when i filed a claim with my home warranty. I was a little concerned initally by the prior reviews but i was pleasantly surprised. The guy that came out to our home was very friendly and knowledgeable. He thoroughly explained to us what steps he was going to take to get our basement to stop backing up. He was able to remove the blockage and double checked to make sure that it would not back up again. He also explained what the next step would be if we had issues again in the future.
Overall i am satisfied with the service i received. Would definitely recommend them.

Friendly on time service.  Called in request to warranty company.  was a little skeptical after reading reviews but was pleasantly surprised.  James, service tech, arrived on time (even called ahead at my request), was friendly, efficient and courteous.  Was having trouble with my toilets which he snaked and one toilet had a part which was leaking.  He fixed that as well.  All seems to be fixed at the present time.  Would request James, if possible

Absolute worst plumber company I have ever dealt with. My home warranty company sent them for repairs and the tech that arrived at my house started off by complaining about how long the drive was then did absolutely NOTHING to inspect damage (not that he could have fit under any sink if he had tried) Then sat in a chair almost breaking it from stress wrote up a bogus damage form then left. I then spoke to my home warranty company who said that he wrote it up in such a way that EVERY item was denied service. If he did not want to do the work he should have just said so instead of showing up in the first place. If your warranty company attempts to send this joke of a company DEMAND someone else. If you need a plumber I would recommend calling the three stooges they would at least attempt a repair. Save yourself the heartache and call someone else!!!

PK took advantage of the fact that my 89 year old grandfather did not know any better about plumbing. My grandfather had an issue with his toilet, and the home warranty company sent out PK Plumbing.

Bear in mind, I did not know anything about these services until today when my grandfather was telling me about how the toilet was new and it had been replaced last fall. I found that to be interesting because when I sat down to use the restroom, I had noticed the toilet rocked back and forth. It is a little upsetting because there is no way that through normal wear and tear that an 89 year old man would be able to break a toilet so that it is rocking back and forth in ten months.

So, I called PK because I felt that this needed to be addressed. What I found was PK was not interested in looking at or taking care of this issue, as they only warranty their labor for 30 days. I was told that I could pay $75 to AHS, or $120+ for their hourly rate.

I do not feel that anyone should have to pay any amount of money because this is not a new issue with the toilet. This is an issue with shotty work on a toilet they installed less than a year ago. If the everything had been installed properly with good bolts, new wax ring, and being set properly there should be no sway to the toilet. 10 months of a small 175 pound man sitting on it should not make a toilet that off center. Period.

The issue we are having is from poor installation. The company is not interested in offering quality work, and apparently AHS isn't worried about having a quality company maintenance claims.

If you have other options, do not use this company. I am highly dissatisfied and upset that my grandfather was not given good quality service.

This Company was sent to my home by American Home Shield Warranty Company.  The plumber that came looked at my problems, said he needed to find parts and would call me back to set a time to do the repairs. About 2 weeks later, he came back with parts that did not match. For one repair, he had to use a tool that my husband had, as he didn't have the tool to get the job done. He still had not found all the parts. He was to call back when he could come back for the 3rd time.  after 3-4 weeks, I called the company and set up a final appointment.  This plumber broke 4 of 6 faucets and scratched them with his tools, as he did not know how to get the faucet handles off. I called the warranty company, and told them of the disaster and havoc that his plumber had caused and told them to send some other company to fix not only my original problems, but what their plumbing company had damaged.  The Warranty Company sent another company.  When they looked at the damage, they said they would call American Home Shield and verify damage, but would not do the repairs, as they would not fix damage caused by another company.  ( In my opinion, the job was now extensive, and the 2nd company would not be compensated enough by the warranty company to fix the damage.)  It took 3 half days for the plumber we engaged to fix the damage, and cost us $3,000.00+
The warranty company reimbursed us $594.00.  Do not use PK Plumbing nor American Home Shield!!

A guy named Larry showed up to our house from PK Plumbing after being referred by our warranty company.  We were seeking a plumber because there was a smell of sewer gas in our house intermittently, last week it got so bad overnight that we decided we needed to have the problem diagnosed by a professional.

It was very clear from the start that Larry had no intention of actually trying to diagnose the problem.  He even had the nerve to tell me It doesn't smell bad in here now, only minutes after showing up, like I was making up the smell and it was all some big lie to get Larry to come to my house for the fun of it.

I then showed Larry our plumbing and each of our bathrooms, particularly the bathroom where the smell seemed to be originating.  The apathy was obvious the entire time he was here.  The visit ended with me giving him the required deductible and me telling Larry to just leave without any clearer idea of what the problem may be.  The reason we called a plumber was to get a diagnosis from a professional about what was causing the issue.  What we got was an annoying waste of time from a very shady company.

Couldn't recommend any less!  Terrible company.  We will make sure our warranty company understands what a joke they really are.

The plumber, who arrived had an excuse and complained about everything and he fixed nothing.  He didn't even bring his tools and had me take off the jacuzzi bath tub cover.  He blamed everything on my home warranty company and said they wouldn't allow him to take it off.  The Plumber from PK Plumbing LLC was incompetent and unprofessional.  The next day, I found anther company who sent a plumber out who quickly found the problem.

As part of AHS warranty - PK Plumbing assigned an associate who visited our home to repair our garbage disposal.  The gentleman was very quick to replace the motor and left.  Today we found that the disposal is leaking under the sink.  He did nothing other than replace the motor - no diagnosis or check to make sure all was installed and addressed.  Of course, today is Sunday so no one is available to answer phones.  Not happy!!!

We had a leak in one of my daughters and I called PK Plumbing and they  sent someone over within 30 minutes and they resolved the issue.  I have used PK frequently over the last few years and the are very responsive, knowledgeable and friendly.  One of their lead plumbers Max is especially good and very nice and engaging.  PK does an excellent job!

Terrible service, poor communication.  Provided by home warranty company.  Each time he came he clearly just wanted to leave and did not take time to listen to me or adequately diagnose the problem.  Finally just said he couldn't fix the issue and had to have the warranty company provide someone else.  I clearly knew as much about plumbing as he did, which is a bad sign.  Stay away!
