I called Amstrong plumbing for a quote. A man came out and talked with my husband about a pipe under our house that needs to be replaced. He recommended the whole pipe be replaced and my husband agreed. He got the quote and was exceedingly happy with the price. A man comes out and completes the repair and I sign off because I was not aware of what the original conversation had consisted of. In short the pipe was not replaced just a small section. My husband reread our quote and realised the quote was for the small section, even though that is not what we wanted. In short really review the documentation the person providing the quote gives you. Now the section they replaced sagged, the line backed up and our garage flooded and the cost of replacing the line and repairing other damage is almost 10X the original repair price. This time we are doing it right getting multiple quotes and opinions.

I had some trenchless plumbing on my house water supply because there was a leak under my driveway. It was causing my water bill to be 7x what it normally was. I waited until I had a full billing month after the work had been done. It worked! My bill is back to normal and the work proved to be very well done. It only took 3 days, I didn't need to be home, and everything is working great. Workers were very professional.

He diagnosed and fixed my problem quickly, then checked some of my DIY work in the vicinity, with good suggestions for some of the other projects I am facing. Receive service today for a leaky toilet from Armstrong plumbing and it has to be one of the most pleasant experiences I've ever had with a plumber. Forest D was our plumber and he was not only friendly and patient but also did his job very well. I highly recommend this company and their employees. There is still good customer Service in this world and his name is Forest. Kind, knowledgeable, and great at his craft. If there was a way to give more then five stars he would deserve it.

Cody and Carlos did a great job repairing three separate bathroom sink/faucet issues at my house last Friday, March 31. They made sure we were fully informed every step of the way, showing us the old and new parts and explaining every step they were taking. Their work was very clean and the were polite and professional. Maybe most importantly, they had a great sense of humor. I would not hesitate to use them again and to give my highest recommendation to anyone who asked.

We were very satisfied with the prompt and professional service with Armstrong Plumbing. The office staff and the plumber were very helpful. The job entailed a kitchen sink leak that required a drain pipe rerouting. This was successfully completed within an hour. George was very neat and left no mess at all.

While they responded quickly and showed up very timely, they couldn't get the job done. Our main line was clogged, Bruce tried to snake it once, said a tip wouldn't fit on the snake and he did it with just the line. Didn't work. Tried to say we needed to install a clean out, very pricey. Ended up spending $300 for nothing. My husband rented a snake from Home Depot for $76, snaked it at the same spot, took twice to do it, he got the job done. Armstrong says Yes We Can, perhaps it should be No We Can't. Very disappointed, won't be using them again.

ARMSTRONG PLUMBING charged $59. to come on site and see the problem. Unfair charge these days.

The licensed thieves, I mean, Armstrong Plumbing wanted $800.00 plus the $59.estimate to fix the problem.

Time for a second opinion from another licensed plumber.

The second opinion cost $250.00 straight up to fix the problem and was taken care of the very next day.

Go straight to hell Armstrong Plumbing. You should call your selves Strong Arm Plumbing.

We were experiencing smells in our bathroom when it got really hot. I called Armstong plumbing and secured an appointment between 9:00 and 11:00 am. The appointment was confirmed via text and Ramon called saying he was on his way.
Ramon diagnosed the problem, was professional and I trusted him.

Our home is old with partial plumbing upgrades, and I am comfortable relying on the Armstrong team for both old and modern plumbing needs . Different members have different strengths, and the coordinator takes care to match a job to a technician. For servicing a tankless water heater, I couldn't recommend Jacob more highly. He took his time to be thorough and tidy, had clear answers for all my questions, and left no doubt in my mind that he was particularly well-versed and knowledgeable on the topic. I chose Armstrong Plumbing on Yelp several years ago, and have only positive experiences with the professional, family owned company.

We purchased a new home in Natomas, while doing remodel work we ran into several issues. Armstrong Plumbing was FANTASTIC! Responded right away, very reasonable with their pricing and did great work. We had another issue a couple weeks later and again received spectacular service. I highly recommend this company and will continue to use them if another need arises. Armstrong did my trenchless a year ago and I was really happy with their work, plus they had the best price around! This week my tub was clogging (3 people with long hair live here) and the scheduler said, You only have one shower, correct? She was correct and sensing the urgency in my voice, rearranged schedules so that someone could come out within a few hours!

I really appreciate their staff's efforts to assist quickly and effectively! Highly recommend!

We needed to have a relatively old gas fire place checked out and brought back to working order. We were referred to Armstrong Plumbing and Peter Chappell (Service Technician) and his sidekick, Vince, checked out all of the pipe fittings for the fire place (Vince even went up into the attic crawl space to follow the line to be sure that there were no issues with leaks.) and actually fired it up to be sure that all was well. Both Peter and Vince were efficient, courteous and thorough in their work. Based upon their motto, Plumbers who can! From a family who cares I'd say these two represented Armstrong Plumbing well. I'd recommend them to anyone.

We recently had a sewer line issue at our house and I was referred to Armstrong Plumbing by a neighbor of mine. Knowing nothing myself about how my sewer line works, my complete trust was in them. I called at 3:15 pm on a Tuesday and was informed by a friendly dispatch agent that service would arrive later that afternoon. They informed me of the hourly cost which comparing to others sounded reasonable.

Evan Dobrowski arrived at my door at 4:30 pm with a smile and a handshake. He inspected the issue, explained to me what he thought the problem was, then immediately began to work on it. Within minutes my sewer line was clear and water was flowing to the city line! *sweet--we can take showers and use the toilet*. Evan dropped a camera down the pipe and showed me on a monitor that a tree root had caused the backup in the line-- which was pretty freaking cool to see. The snake that he used was able to push through the clog and shave back the root so that the line would be temporarily clear.

Evan explained to me what the long-term solution would be and drew me up a quote on the spot so that my wife and I could make a decision on how to approach it. The quick work and thorough explanation, in language I could understand, made me feel like I called the right folks.

As I mentioned, I don't have very much plumbing knowledge and so like most, I put my complete trust in to those that I hire. Because I trust my neighbors, I trust those that they recommend, and I'm very happy with decision I made to call Armstrong Plumbing.

Very professional from the phone call to the visit. My service guy made what I viewed as appropriate suggestions, leaning toward imparting knowledge about a next step with regard to a water heater and additional steps that should be taken when ready for a new water heater; like a drainage pan that the water heater sits it,(but for some reason, we don't have AND having a drainage line that runs out through the wall and outside, (which we don't have).
We both thought it was unwise to install a water heater in the middle of a house, under the stairway.
Go with Peter C. at Armstrong. He'll give the cost outlay on any decision you're considering and will make suggestions that are the most appropriate for your home.

Our hot water heater went on the fritz and Armstrong Plumbing provided fast, dependable and knowledgeable service.

Recently, upon moving into our home, PG&E came out check the hot water heater which we couldn't light. The technician said the thermocouple wasn't seated properly which may cause future problems. Sure enough, one month later, the pilot wouldn't light. Hence, a call to Armstrong Plumbing.

Service was amazing and fast. After a few questions regarding make, model and serial number, Armstrong tracked down the parts. A friendly, knowledgeable repairman showed up within the hour and voila (!) we had hot water again! Plus, we got 10% off for mentioning yelp.

It's not right to air dirty laundry online but Armstrong plumbing, after a major sewer line upgrade, refuses to return calls for warranty work. Ownership will not return calls and front office is hostile, all after a 10 yr relationship and over $20k in work.

We wish we had read Charle R's review earlier, because a very similar thing happened to us.

Usually Yelp doesn't lie, but this time, their high review average really is just not true. We called because we have a clogged sink the night before Thanksgiving, and since this place has so many good reviews, we thought why not? Well, they said sure. We have someone on call tonight, we do emergency services, we will call you right back and get someone out there.

90 minutes later....

No phone call. We called back and surprise surprise, randomly everything they had told us 90 minutes before I guess was just a lie. No they did not have anyone on call tonight and no they do not do emergency services. Wow. And the night before Thanksgiving? They should be thankful for such high reviews on here. That's what.

Can you write a review for someone who has never returned your call? If your customer service says they will have the manager contact you and doesn't , I don't think you deserve my business. For your information, I called your company first, and then made a second call, they not only took my call, but made an appointment and completed the work and I still haven't heard from you. Thanks but no thanks. I need to add that after I posted this I was contacted by the owner of the company who was concerned about my post. She told me that someone did contact me minutes after my call. I never got their call, obviously the number I provided, was accurate because she called me but for whatever reason I didn't get the service call. ??? Communication blip ? Don't know, but the only call I got was from the owner, who read my review, so I'm updating my original rating. Too bad that someone didn't double check the number he was calling.

Our Rheem water heater was serviced last week and fixed Monday by Peter and Hung. We've been having issues for two years. Had another local company come out in 2018 who did nothing but charge us for coming out, they did not diagnose or fix the problem. We have been power cycling our water heater every day, first seasonally the last two years then daily for weeks. Finally called Armstrong. Peter came out, problem solved and ordered the necessary part, a pilot light assembly. Both seemed like good guys We appreciated their being professional and personable. Will go to Armstrong with any plumbing/water heater issues down the line. Thank you!

I've had Russell do some diagnostics at a duplex and at a house that we are looking to purchase. He was straight up and knowledgeable. I had another company try and take me for 8k. After talking to Russ, he said all you have to do is hydrojett the main line and you should be good to go. He was right.

I had a water leak that happened in the middle of a family emergency. Peter found the leak and capped it. Mike did an excellent job working with my homeowners insurance. Then they followed up with me at the time I was available again and came out to do the repair. Everyone I have spoken with at the company is very professional, and if they don't have the answer I get a phone call back within minutes from the person I need to speak to. They listen to the needs of the customer and give more than one option for repair. I have already recommended them to others, and will use them in the future if the need arises. I highly recommend Armstrong Plumbing.

Armstrong Plumbing shines with exceptional customer service, communication, and reliability. As an out-of-state landlord, I know I can trust them to take care of business, even if Im not there to oversee the job.

They worked with my tennant to set up an appointment and come out promptly to fix a broken disposal. The plumber on site called me to authorize the expense before starting the work. My tenant said they were courteous and cleaned up the mess.

Afterwards, I asked that they mail me both a recipt for the work and the owners manuel for the new garbage disposal. The friendly lady answering the phones took care of both of these requests.

Service was prompt but was performed with mistakes. I had a gas line run for my kitchen and they left it with a leak. The tech left multiple tools behind. He also damaged one of my counter top tiles.

Update: The owners of Armstrong Plumbing contacted me after reading my review and apologized for the poor service. They made sure to address all of my concerns with their performance.

Unresponsive. Called the 24/7 emergency number with a plumbing issue requiring immediate attention. Was informed I'd receive a call from a technician moments later. Heard back only after posting this review about 14-15 hours later to be told there were no appointments for another 48 hours. That said, to their credit the company did reach out thereafter to apologize and acknowledge the mishap and attempt to make it right. This was appreciated and a classy gesture but by then it was unfortunately too late.

Had Armstrong come out to give me a quote to remove an old under mount dual basin cast iron sink and replace it with an under mount single basin stainless steel sink. The tech was awesome and was able to give me a very reasonable price on the spot.

Not only that but they were able to do the install the next day. The installer and apprentice showed up and knocked out the install in just under 2 hours!!! They did an amazing job and I highly recommend them.

When my 30-year-old electric water heater started leaking water from underneath, I knew it was time for a replacement. I also knew it would be a big-ticket item. I wanted a quality water heater - professionally installed.
After the normal online reviews (thank you Yelp) I had a short list of companies. Armstrong Plumbing made the cut. I knew the brand and model of water heater I wanted (AO Smith hybrid electric) and asked for quotes from each company on the same item - installed. Armstrong beat the other two.
A day or two after calling Armstrong Plumbing, Jason arrived at our home and professionally evaluated our water heater replacement needs. He also mentioned the AO Smith brand and said he has installed several. I could tell Jason was a very competent plumber and he was able to answer all my questions.
On install day two things were happening simultaneously - Jason was skillfully removing our old water heater and installing our new one, while Armstrong Plumbing Project Manager Brookelinn was at the County pulling our permit. What great teamwork! By the afternoon we had both a new water heater and our permit.
I will highly recommend Armstrong Plumbing to anyone looking for plumbing needs - especially a new water heater - from a company who can do a fantastic job at a competitive price. Thank you, Jason and Brookelinn.

Plumbing services are hard for a regular person to understand and to be sure of the quality of the job. Over the past 35 years in Sacramento, I have dealt with numerous plumbers and plumbing companies for a variety of house related problems. Sometimes, I've been happy the work & value received/sometimes not. A few times, I have had to find another plumber to fix the original work properly. SO, when I recently had to find a plumber, a person in the industry recommended Armstrong Plumbing. Boy, am I glad I gave them a try! Yes, plumbers tend to be costly. But, I am happy to pay for a quality job!!!
Kenny, from Armstrong Plumbing, did great work on my very old copper pipes. He was very professional and I am very satisfied with the quality of work. I intend to use Armstrong in the future for other plumbing issues.

I had a busted waterline in my front flower bed and my boss recommended them. I called them and Matt gave me an approximate price over the phone. He knew exactly what was wrong and what type of piping had been installed without even coming to the house. The high end of the estimate was very fair. He sent a repairman out the next day, he called me (I was at work) as the glue was drying to tell me what he did and how much it would be.
Unfortunately, when he turned the water back on the pipe busted in another spot, he immediately called me and got my ok to fix it. Of course the price then went up, but it was still a very fair amount.
After a week you could barely tell they had dug anywhere at all, and they replanted the plant they had to take out to dig.
All four of the employees I ultimately talked to were very professional and friendly, This is the best experience I have ever had with a plumbing company.

My water heater broke and flooded our laundry room- I was in a panic and spent all day yesterday on the phone with plumbers. First of all 5 starts for the dispatcher i spoke to initially in the morning, she was very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. She set me up to have someone call me as soon as they opened with a quote. I then got a call from a gentleman who then really ruined my experience. He was very pushy and basically said if I didn't use them it would be installed wrong and not work. Also their price seemed ridiculously high (which it ended up being) so I made a comment that it seemed high and he just went off about how no one else knows how to do it and if i don't pay that much it will be wrong. Anyway after calling 5 other companies and getting 5 other quotes Armstrong was $1000 more expensive then all 5 other quotes...I also thought it was interesting that they use and recommend AO Smith water heaters and all the other companies said they recommended Rheem no question- when I asked them about AO Smith's they all kind of responded the same not as good but more expensive. I don't doubt that Armstrong does a great job I just don't like feeling pushed into a purchase like that and do not want to spend an extra $1,000 for the same service i can get elsewhere for less.

These guys are THE BEST! I have had them do 3 jobs for me and they are very responsive, ethical and price competitive. The latest job was a new water heater. I called at 8:00 a.m. and by 10:00 Pete their plumber was here and installing a new water heater. They quoted me a price over the phone and it was exactly what they charged me. The water heater they replaced was purchased at Home Depot 6 years ago. The price Armstrong charged me was not much more than Home Depot charged but the water heater is a top of the line Bradford White. A much better water heater.

I cannot recommend Armstrong Plumbing highly enough.

So I called on the Saturday of the Thanksgiving weekend, thinking it'd be a reasonable time to get back in business with professionals, having given them time to relax, hehe. Well, the woman I spoke with that picked up the phone was very brief with me, to the point of me feeling like I wasn't welcome as a customer. Hey, I get that you might have a lot to do, or have a very good reason for having a bad day, so I let that all slide. I was promised a return phone call, and the conversation was quickly over. However, no one ever returned my call, which was primarily to get a quote on installing a waterfilter, to fixed a dripping shower, and to earth-quake secure a waterheater.

I had called Armstrong Plumbing initially due to the excellent reviews here on Yelp, so I decided to give them another shot.

I called them again and this time I spoke with a man who promptly triaged my call and put me through to a senior plumber, once he learned I wanted a quote. It was a very professional conversation with both of them, throughout.

David, the senior (I think I got his name right), came by promptly to the appointment we had made, and he appeared very professional in his manner. I explained that I wanted a second opinion, if you will; that's what you do when you need work done, you get competing quotes from the best guys and gals in the business. I showed him the waterfilter, we talked about the options and price (PEX piping vs. copper, etc.) and I felt we were doing so well in our talk that I hinted I was going to have more work done in the future, like installing a sink in the garage.

After all the talking about the 3-4 different jobs, he promised me to email me a quote the very next morning, and said he had to leave (this is around 2 o'clock, plenty of work hours left in the day). No estimates on quotes were offered, and I was a little surprised. He'd given me an estimate on the sink installation in the garage (some 12-13 hundred dollars, due to some piping in the wall that had to be done due to the location of where I wanted it); however, this was the least of the quotes I needed...

I never heard from anyone again.

I considered calling for the manager of Armstrong Plumbing to explain my experience and to give him or her a chance to improve upon what the ending of this Yelp review would have been, but I just didn't get the time, and I had made an appointment with another plumber (prematurely, perhaps) that I didn't want to cancel if I didn't have to.

In any case, this sort of customer service is not good. Look - take each incident on their own, and it's maybe not a big deal. I mean, we're unfortunately all used to being ignored in this unprofessional manner (though I'm done putting up with it - thank you, Yelp and Yelp-users). However, when you add them together and you get a CRAPPY experience and WASTED time. I'm not pleased, and Armstrong Plumbing get the lowest score I can give, because that's an average that's unacceptable.

My advice is to be more professional and ensure that you're 1) returning people's calls (elementary), and 2) give them the quotes you promised them after going to their house (perhaps even more elementary?).

Too bad I didn't get a chance to write a review on their work as plumbers, and they have themselves to thank for that.

Love Armstrong Plumbing!! We bought a house that didn't have a gas dryer hook up, so went looking for a plumber to give us quotes. Not only was Armstrong the most reasonably priced, they were also the most professional and thorough. And when I say the most reasonable I mean over $1,000 less then some of the other quotes I received. I can't begin to tell you what amazing service I had with Jason from Armstrong Plumbing. We recently moved to Sacramento from Visalia and moved our washer and dryer hoping to save some money. He problem solved SO MANY different issues that we were confronted with while learning our gas dryer wouldn't work after all, and even after it had been stacked by an uneducated plumber. He came back to our house 2 different times to make sure the job was done correctly and only charged us the bare minimum and only for 1 visit. He even moved our old dryer down our awful windy stairs and helped set up the new dryer we had to purchase from Home Depot. I have had to use plumbers numerous times in the past but never have I had an experience with a plumber so easy to work with and so knowledgable. Needless to say I would HIGHLY recommend Jason W at Armstrong Plumbing.

The cylinder above our water pump had a pinhole leak in it. We looked on YELP and found Armstrong. They had good reviews so we gave them a try. All the reviews were correct. Both the gentleman who answered the phone and the plumber were very kind and professional. They came out that day within the time frame they mentioned which I was so thankful for since they were busy but they fit us in. He fixed it within 20 minutes which was great because I was then only charged a half hour rate. I would definitely hire them again.

My tenant informed me of a clog w the main sewer line Saturday leading up to the Super Bowl. I raced around looking for someone who would be able to address the issue quickly. Armstrong was one of the very few company that I was able to reach in person. Which tells me that they have a pretty strong base of operation.

Given that it was the weekend, I anticipated that they may have limited availability but to my surprise, I was able to have a tech come out within a couple of hours. My tenant indicated that the technician was extremely patient, friendly and thorough. We had to pay a premium for the weekend support but the speed and service made it definitely worthwhile.

To top it all off, I received a call from a support staff a week later just checking in. Confused and very pleasantly surprised! Definitely will work with the team again for future issues.

I would avoid these people, but if you really have to have them come out, MAKE SURE you get their rates and a rough $ estimate beforehand.

***For your information, they WILL charge you for 'driving and showing up at your door' at the same rate as their labor rate which is $110/hour- so you WILL get charged at least $55 for just showing up.*** Gee, I wish I could gouge my boss like this for daily mileage to and from my work everyday!

Milton came out, he spent much of his time taking other calls while he was here for less than a half hour. Because he was preoccupied, he had to come back a second time for @15 minutes because he had an idea (to check the water pressure) and, thus, I got charged another $55! This was something he could have easily done in the initial visit.

I did not call him back here for that 2nd visit as I had another plumber on his way. But he didn't care and argued with me over the phone about this. I'm not upset about the $55 so-called driving fee plus charging me for the 1st half hour he was here, but I'm upset about him just showing up later that afternoon and charging me for that visit- which was all completely unnecessary.

I'm appalled. In short, I paid $165 for Milton to turn my water main off, help me set up my sump pump (1st visit), check my water pressure (2nd visit) and thats it-- this is what was itemized on my invoice. These are not reasonable people and I will not use them again. If you DO choose to go with them, make sure they turn off their phone during their visit!

Several plumbing related issues surfaced this week...a clogged sewer line and a phantom water leak. Both Jacob and David displayed a professional demeanor and solid work effort.

Sewer problem solved and my concern over a water leak dispelled. Their fees were less than the other guys...who shall remain nameless. Competitve pricing in my estimation.

I found this company to be highly professional, responsive and competent. More than likely I will have Armstrong Plumbing work on some inside plumbing issues in the near future.

Armstrong did work for us in early 2017. We needed a new clean-out and to replace a very old pipe out to the mainline. We called them due to excellent service about 8-9 years ago, and unfortunately, while the job was adequate this time, it was only that, and no better. Communication was poor, both with us and between themselves. At one point one of them asked if we had pulled a permit- which they were supposed to do. My husband had to call the main office to make sure that was done. We were not told that they would have to cut into our drive way, and they did a poor job of patching the concrete. After condescendingly telling me that they work with irrigation systems all the time- dont worry about yours they managed to break our sprinklers and bury the broken parts, not even realizing what they had done. They defaced far more of the garden than they had indicated they would.

I'm giving 3 stars rather than 2 because the job itself was finally done, the price was reasonable, and the damage (other than a HIDEOUS concrete patch) was all fixed. Will be looking for another company in the future, and I'm so sad that they have changed this much in a few years!!!!

I have been a customer of Armstrong Plumbing for over 10 years now. Back then I think they were a smaller company. Today their crews continue to be just as responsive, knowledgeable, and skilled as they've always been. I own a few rental properties and over the past 30-45 days I think I've hired Armstrong to help with different plumbing or sewer issues for the different houses. I consider my tenants to be like family, and care and consideration for their time and that any inconveniences be remedied ASAP are important to me. Armstrong never lets me nor my tenants down. Highly recommend.

Ramon came out after the national brand-name company gave me a suspiciously large estimate ($4200) without even sending a camera in. (They claimed they were unable to send a camera in without installing a cleanout)

He quickly completed an inspection with camera, and gave us two options for repair work. One option was more expensive than the other, but the scope of the work with the more expensive option made us more confident we wouldn't have follow up issues.

There was no pressure.

The company completed repair work/hydrojetting for $850, saving me a good amount of cash.

Will only go with Armstrong from now on.

After getting multiple bids on repiping my 1950s home (remove the old galvanized pipes - install PEX) I went with Armstrong Plumbing who had offered the best price. Bruce was on-time and professional. The job took 2 days to complete, Bruce made sure we had toilet/sink use during the evening while the work was being completed. The final cost ended up being a little higher than expected due to installing a (needed) new toilet and new kitchen sink - but overall Armstrong kept to their original quote. A couple of small issues needed to be corrected after the county inspection - Bruce was quick to come back to resolve the issues. I would recommend and hire Armstrong Plumbing again.

I had Armstrong out to my house to install a simple new faucet in my bathroom, which I purchased on my own. Apparently they don't give quotes over the phone but I thought I knew basically how much it would cost. I was told the service call would be $85 dollars which I thought was fair and I would then get a quote once they got here. I guess they could charge anything they wanted knowing they would at least get their $85 regardless. I realize prices have gone up but the quote I received was a lot more than I expected since I already had the faucet and no additional parts would be needed. They were to only change the faucet and leave the drain alone as I was using my old plumbing. This is a job I can usually do myself but due to a bad back, I elected to have it done instead. I have used Armstrong multiple times over the years and usually received good service. As a matter of principle I did not have it done as I refuse to be taken advantage of by almost every home service company these days. I really think its a gimmick that they will not give a ballpark figure over the phone as I could have made that decision to use them or not and perhaps would have saved the service call fee. I also noticed the last few times I used their service, they sent out two techs. Wow to change a faucet?? Perhaps that explains the expensive quote! I don´t plan on using their services any longer. One last thing.... I asked them how long the job would have taken. They told me one hour. I would come out of retirement to make that much per hour.

Our master bedroom shower wasn't draining properly & eventually started backing up water into the other bathroom. Did a yelp search & contacted another company that was close by to come out. he told us he was unsuccessful in unclogging the drain because we have a back to back shower with a U pipe sharing one drain hole. Which meant him trying to snake it just went through to the other tub instead of down the drain pipe. $50 just for being dispatched out. Told us he would schedule a drain specialist to come take a look. Drain specialist told us the same thing about the U pipe & then told us they would need to drill into our bathroom to get to the pipe where the clog is & quoted us $4500!!!! After expressing my disappointment to a coworker, he recommended Armstrong. Armstrong sent a plumber out the next day. Showed up on time. Took him 5 minutes!!!! 5 minutes!!!!!!!!! To unclog that drain! Jon Kim with Armstrong saved us a ton of money!

Armstrong is an average quality provider which charges an extremely high price. They fixed a shower faucet of mine. They charged me 140 dollars for parts (which cost 40 at lowes) and then another 225 for labor (it should of taken less than 30 minutes to fix.

I would avoid this place as it is way too expensive.

When you're 3,000 miles away, it's both extremely important and extremely rare to find somebody whom you can trust when things go wrong with your rental property, especially when it's a serious plumbing issue.

I first met Cody in 2020 when he was at another company; and more recently, he's continued to help us from yet another company. I was so happy with the extraordinary work he had done for us then, that when I saw I still had his cell phone number, I texted him immediately when two of the toilets at our rental property started having issues.

As always, Cody managed to resolve the issue for us (for our tenants) on the same day, if not the next day. Previously, at his prior company, he even took care of all the necessary permitting for a water heater replacement job.

Armstrong is lucky to have Cody on their team; you'd be lucky to have him work on your house. I can't recommend him and Armstrong highly enough.

Very unhappy with this company. They sent a guy out to repair the hot water in my shower who didn't seem to know what he was doing (although very nice) and he forgot to turn the water back on to my front yard when he left. The water in all the outside faucets worked, just not to the auto sprinklers in front, so I didn't realize the problem for two weeks. I couldn't tell what was wrong because there's more than one shut off valve and one of them was not moveable at all. So I thought it was the sprinkler system and spent $125 just to have the sprinkler guy turn the water back on; nothing was wrong with the sprinkler system. He said it was shut so tight he was afraid he'd break it trying to get it on.

I think it really depends on who they send out. One guy who installed a new sink for me had to come out three times to get it right--he put it in just off so that it leaked. So I ask to make sure they don't send him. Same with the guy who plumbed my gas fireplace. I don't think he had ever done it before and it took him twice as long to do--worse, he left airspace around where the pipe entered the fireplace which the inspector said was very dangerous (could draw sparks into the wall where there's wood) and he had to come back and plug It.

This company had been pretty responsive and generally nice so I've used them a lot but this is the last straw. I called to complain about this last episode and the woman said she'd investigate and get back to me but she sounded highly skeptical and of course hasn't called me back. Hence this review.

I had Armstrong redo my sewer line. It was a pretty big job (about 100ft that had to be trenched), so getting it done for cheap, probably wasn't going to happen.

Out of about 7 bids I got, Armstrong was the second lowest. They came out and looked at what needed to be done while I was at work... but then I didn't hear from them for like 3 days... I had to call and see if they even came! It was a little annoying because most of the other companies the came out gave me same day quotes. It wasn't that big of a deal, it was just a little irritating, the estimator, David, is actually really nice... just lazy I guess.

So any way, I decided on them. It was two or so weeks before thanksgiving and I guess they were really busy, because they couldn't start until the Monday after the holiday.

So then they started the work and every thing started out pretty good. they got the majority of the digging done in the first day and but Thursday all the pipe was in place. I was pretty impressed by how fast they did the work, but I did feel like some of the stuff the did was a little sketchy, like: they had some girl there while they were working... not an employee, just some girl.. maybe a friend or a girlfriend or some thing... I don't know. What I do know though is, that she was wearing flip-flops and I would assume that her being on the job site is a liability.

So after the work was done, it was time for the inspection. Unfortunately, there was a huge storm going on and we didn't get a pass, because the hole was full of water and the inspector couldn't tell if it was leaking or not.... That was fine, because there's nothing we could do about that..... so we agreed to let it dry out.

.... and then it dried out... and it was dry... and then I called and took care of the inspection myself and failed again because Armstrong didn't schedule a different inspection where the city looks at their lines while its all dug up that I didn't even know about until the inspector told me! So the inspector said we could fill in the hole except for the 4 feet between the fence and the clean-out that was installed for the city side.

The first thing they did when they came to fill the trench was fill the part by the fence!!

Then a few weeks later they did that inspection and we got whats called a red tag which means the city comes and replaces their end of the pipe, and they connect the new pipe on their side to the new pipe we installed... so Armstrong had to come out and re dig that spot!

Sooo all this took about 11 weeks. At one point I asked if I could get a break in the price, because of all the fuckups..... but I talked to an owner, or somebody that came out... and nothing ever happened with that. We ended up just paying, because we got reward credit cards that had bonus points if you spend a certin amount in the first three months... but it took so long we were going to miss out on the points! so what ever.

I wouldn't really recommend them. very poor communication.

Issue: Water leaking outside from what appears to be the sewage cleanout.

I called and asked if someone could take a look and give us an estimate to repair the leak. The plumber informed me he had a couple of other jobs to take care of and would call me prior to stopping by. Almost 4 hours went by with no contact. I called back to find out what was going on and the receptionist informed me that the plumber would call me immediately. 20 minutes later he finally called and told me he was on his way. I asked if he could go through the side gate to inspect because I wasn't able to leave work immediately and he said that it was fine. He would call me to inform me of the situation.

2 hours go by with no word. I called him and asked what was going on. At first he told me that a pipe connected to my cleanout was rotted and needed to be replaced. He said they would have to remove the siding on my home to replace. He was going to write up an estimate and send it over later that night. The estimate was emailed to me around 8:30 and stated the entire cleanout needed to be replaced. I emailed him back informing him that I was confused, and asked if it was a pipe that needed replacing, or the cleanout. He emailed back and told me he didn't know until they tear the siding off of my house and look...that didn't sound right.

Fast forward to the next day when I decided to get a second opinion. A plumber from Bonnie plumbing came out within 2 hours, took a quick look at the situation, and immediately informed me that the area with the leak wasn't the sewage cleanout. It turned out to be a leak in the icebox line, an easy repair to say the least.

I honestly don't know why this company would tell me that my sewage cleanout needs repair when it had nothing to do with the cleanout. Bonnie plumbing even looked at our cleanout and said there were no issues. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone.

We had Armstrong Plumbing out this morning to take care of a banging noise that was happening when we turned on the shower. Everything from start to finish with this appointment was great, they were able to accommodate our busy schedule by giving us a Saturday morning appointment. The plumber they sent to our home was Bruce, he was on time and friendly. Bruce diagnosed the problem in minutes and had the new valve cartridge we needed on his truck. He wore shoe covers inside of our home and was very careful to cleanup after himself. The shower is now working great and the banging is gone. Thank you Bruce and everyone at Armstrong Plumbing.

I've used Armstrong Plumbing twice now. I have an older house that has had some hinky repairs and additions. Armstrong was willing to work with the set up as it was instead of trying to sell me a bunch of repairs that are necessary but I have to defer for now. I'm very happy with the work, the communication and the cost has been reasonable as well. Two more projects will get done next year.

Armstrong Plumbing was the answer to ALL of our plumbing issues. We originally called them out because our water was mixing in our sinks and showers. Kyle (extremely nice and professional) came out and identified the problem and had it fixed within a few hours for a fraction of what a competitor had quoted us. We were so pleased with the work he did we decided to have him look at a larger plumbing problem we had.

We had a leaking shower for years in our master bathroom which had leaked into our downstairs ceiling. We hadn't used the shower for 3-4 years because of the leak. Kyle cut a whole in the dining room ceiling to investigate the source of the leak, almost positive it was the drain. They discovered a lot more than we expected. I was then introduced to Mike Schlumpf the remediation manager, great guy who I got to know very well as he held my hand through what became a very complicated project. Mike has an excellent team of guys who came and did the demo on my shower and ceiling. Nick is extremely nice and does great work. Mike had referrals for tile and dry wall contractors that he had established relationships with. They turned out to be great guys who did excellent work. It wasn't easy or fun, but Armstrong Plumbing got the job done. They were friendly, professional, fair and honest. I will definitely use them again in the future and would recommend them to anyone needing plumbing or remodeling done.

Yesterday, Kyle and Nick came and changed out the shower trim which completed the remodel/restoration of our shower. Today, I took my first shower in it. It was wonderful! Kyle installed a huge 12 inch square rainfall shower head and new handle and not only are they beautiful compared to my old calcium stained gold shower trim, but they work great! I feel like I am at a spa. My shower is just so beautiful! It's a total transformation that without Armstrong Plumbing and remediation would not have been possible. Thank you Mike, Kyle and Nick for giving me back my master bathroom shower and making it ten times better than it was before.

Ramon arrived and unplugged the clogged drain, fixed the leak under the sink, but couldn't find the leak under the kitchen sink at a rental I own. When done he called and left a message, however, my phone cut off the message so I called and asked me to call again. Unfortunately, he didn't do so. The next day I called Armstrong and learned the price of the repair. They kindly indicated if the kitchen sink continues to leak they would send a different plumber next time. Overall, I was extremely happy with getting a same day appointment, and if my phone hadn't cut off the message I would have known from Ramon what work he did.

This is my second time using Armstrong and I'll never use another plumber. They are VERY professional, and their plumbers are extremely well trained and qualified. They know what they are doing and they work efficiently. I had them replace a valve in my mom's shower (Jacob came out with an apprentice) and also had them out to my home to reseal a toilet and fix some minor issues (Mike came out). Both of these plumbers were great. I used to try to repair things with a fix it guy or other plumbers, but I've found it is WELL WORTH IT to hire someone that knows what they are doing and can do the job right the first time.

Armstrong Plumbing is great! We have a 62 year old home in Arden Park with the original bathroom plumbing. The shower hot water would not turn off, we tried to fix it ourselves but didn't have the right tools. I called yesterday, was given a reasonable minimum estimate of $110 (which was half of what another company quoted after coming out to look at the problem) so Jacob and Eric came out this morning and fixed the problem in a couple of hours. It wasn't that easy of a job given the old galvanized pipes and parts, but they fixed it for less than a few hundred dollars, which is much, much cheaper than the other company's estimate. Armstrong (Matt, Jacob and Eric) were all very professional, prompt, courteous, knowledgeable, honest and the price was very fair. I would highly recommend Armstrong and would use them again!

We have had some issues since we purchased the home 2 years ago.Slow draining and continuous clogs and back ups. We had another company come to the home a month ago, paid over $100.00 and although they did clear the one clog, they never looked for the real issue. Armstrong came to my home, scoped the main and found an issue. To make sure he was correct he called in management to confirm. We had a major clog in our main line from grease from the previous owners. At one point in our pipe we only had about a 2 clearance. They snaked and cleaned the entire main. We have had no clogs and the drains now drain quickly. They were on time, very professional and a pleasure to work with. Thank you Armstrong. I hope we never have to but, if we need a plumber again it will be your company.

We had a pretty bad leak in our bathtub faucet. I called Armstrong Plumbing, and Peter came out to inspect the issue. He agreed with what a previous plumber had said, that the ideal fix would be to cut into the wall, and re-install an entirely new faucet system, which had previously been quoted at around $700. He offered another solution (which the other plumber did not), which was to add some sort of rubber piece (can't recall the technical name) to the faucet knobs to stop the leak. He said that there was no guarantee that it would last; he literally said it could last for a day, a week, or up to years. So he was very straight-forward about the fact that it wasn't a for sure long-term fix, but it would only cost around $200, vs $700+ to cut into the wall. I decided to go ahead and have him do it. It definitely stopped the leak, so that was a huge relief! However, unfortunately about a week later, the leak came back, but not to the degree that it previously had been. I would not have given a 5-star review if it wasn't for the fact that Peter was really honest about this not being a guaranteed long-term fix. He didn't pressure me to do it, and he verbalized the pro's and con's for either option, so that I could make a better informed decision. Besides that, Peter was very friendly, courteous, and professional. I will definitely use their services again if ever needed, and I have already recommended them to a family member!

Also, about a month or two ago, we had a clogged kitchen disposal. I believe it was Evan who came out and fixed the clog. He was super friendly, and fixed the clogged sink in a matter of minutes! He also explained some basic ways we could attempt to do it ourselves (after I asked), which I found helpful. 2 out of 2 great experiences with Armstrong Plumbing!

Our kitchen garbage disposal was leaking horribly down the electrical wires. It was a Saturday and Armstrong Plumbing was booked. The wonderful receptionist put us on standby and thankfully they were able to come out that afternoon. George was amazing. He took a look, told us the problem and the solution (new garbage disposal). We decided to have them replace it for us, the service was fast and fairly priced. George also took time to inspect the rest of the sink and noticed that our spray hose component of the sink was losing suction and leaking, causing our water flow to hiccup. He informed us we needed a new hose, and showed us how to install it ourselves, wrote down the make and model of the faucet and told us to call the manufacturer as the brand we had carries a lifetime warranty and all replacement parts would be free (he didn't have a replacement hose for that model on his truck). These guys are AMAZING. Our shower was getting backed up, along with everything else, and we called out two different plumbers who couldn't handle it. One of them didn't charge me, and advised me to call another company. That company sent someone out who was rude, charged me $175, couldn't unblock the pipe, and told me the ONLY solution would be to dig down 10 feet and install a new clean out somewhere else in the line. This was, naturally, a service which his company would be happy to do for, oh, around $500.

We tried to do it ourself before we finally threw up our hands and called Armstrong plumbing to do it for us. They said they'd come take a look at it, but warned that the other guy's previous estimate would be about right for that type of labor and install.

Luckily George - the awesome and friendly gentleman who came out to take a look at it - wasn't deterred by the cesspool forming around the clean out, nor was he willing to take the failures of the lesser companies as a sign of plumbing impenetrability. He insisted on giving the blockage a go himself, and ten minutes later the piddle puddle outside had drained away, and our shower was once again sanitary and safe instead of a swamp. George charged us some negligible amount ($65, I think - a far cry from the $500 we had expected, and a full hundred less than the failed-to-flush other guys) declined our offer of first born naming rights, and set off into the sunset in his white chariot/truck.

I shake my head thinking of all the hassle that could have been avoided if we'd somehow known to call Armstrong first. Take my word for it, Yelpers, when it comes to poo, they don't play. Ask for George, and tell him you heard about him on Yelp. He likes that. :)

Excellent from start to finish! Armstrong previously performed several smaller repairs at our home. More recently, they did a major plumbing job at our home. (Re-piped the entire house, new kitchen line and instllation of a sump pump.) Dwayne came out ahead of time and provided the estimate. He did a thorough job as leader of the crew. He communicated effectively with us about the plans and prepared us for how the job would be done. All of the 4 crew members were courteous and capable. Rip off artists!! We bought two really nice toilets from Lowe's & scheduled installation with them. $270 for the labor on install from Lowe's and that included removal of the old toilets. They were pretty booked up so it was going to be a few weeks before they could make it out. A local plumber quoted us $50 per hour with a 2 hour minimum if we didn't want to wait on Lowe's. I saw an Armstrong truck driving through Folsom & thought I'd call to see what they could offer. $577 is what they quoted!! The toilets alone were $700 combined. What a rip off!! Yeah, it costs $577 to pay for your nice trucks. No way, I'll wait for Lowe's! Not sure how Armstrong's can sleep at night!

I have been using Yelp for years but never thought it worth my time to create an account to leave a review.

Well an exceptional customer service experience with Armstrong Plumbing changed that.

I wanted to write to ensure Dave or David gets the recognition he deserves.

I had requested an estimate on several plumbing repairs last week and David called to schedule an appointment to do the estimate next week. After, he discovered that I was having trouble replacing a faucet for a washer, he offered to come over THAT DAY only AN HOUR or so after the phone call to help me with it. He then took time to look at all the other issues I was thinking about having done. I never felt rushed or that he was trying to sell my on services I didn't need.

I am a new homeowner and although I have not received their estimate for the rest of the work as of yet (it was only yesterday he came by) I can already speak highly of their company and hope to work with them in the future.

Another 5 star performance from Armstrong plumbing! I cannot say enough about this company. This afternoon, Laird came to fix a bathtub faucet stem problem that I was previously told would require cutting sheetrock and going through the wall to fix. So I waited years to repair, cause I didn't want that hassle or expense. Well, I finally decided to get it fixed and called Armstrong plumbing (who I just discovered within the past year). Our sewage line backed up after a party. This happens every couple of years so I knew what I was in for. I have previously done business with another plumbing company and was more than satisfied with their service. I rolled the dice and gave Armstrong Plumbing a chance so that I could gain a basis for comparison. Well it worked out perfectly.

I contacted Armstrong Plumbing around 11 AM and was given a time estimate of sometime this afternoon. I called again at 3 PM to confirm that they would be able to make it out. At this time they were able to give me a more specific estimate. The technician showed up about one hour later and was gone, with the job completed, well before the afternoon was over.

I also paid with a credit card. The card number was entered on a smart phone application instead of being written down on paper, which was the way the previous plumbing company handled it. This at least feels more secure not to mention more classy.

Armstrong Plumbing set reasonable expectations, which their technician George fulfilled to my complete satisfaction.

We had a problem with a musty odor eminating from our year-old garbage disposal. We could tell that the existing plumbing lines could have been contributing to the problem because the drain line between the two sinks tilted slightly back toward the disposal. I called Armstrong Plumbing based upon Yelp reviews. The problem was discussed on the telephone and an appointment was made to visit our home. The plumber, Jacob, arrived on time, surveyed the situation, advised me of what he was looking for and how he would proceed. He was clean, courteous, professional, informative, and efficient. The work was completed exactly as we requested and the price fair. Everything has been working great and smelling as it should ever since. I will definitely call Armstrong for any future plumbing needs.

The other two guys quoted me a new line from the meter but Armstrong went in the attic and found a line already in the wall!!! Such great news! We recently purchase a home in Sacramento. It had been totally remodeled one year ago but the inspection showed a few plumbing flaws. We also wanted to replace the existing water heater with a tankless water heater. We had 3 companies come out to give us bids. We chose Armstrong. Even though it wasn't the least expensive bid, it was the most comprehensive. Dwight did a good job of assessing the scope of work which included following up on the work required from the inspections. The plumbers who came out the first time did a professional job and walked us through new issues they found when they were inspecting all of the plumbing under the house. Dwight came out for the city inspection which went smoothly. We had them back to complete the repairs on the new issues identified and Steven and Gary were great. Gave us a few options on how to repair with saving us money in mind. We highly recommend Armstrong and would use them again.

My 90 year-old mother's home sewer line clogged up after hours (as usual). The next morning we called Armstrong and after hearing the situation, they managed to get someone out to the house the same day, even though I'm sure scheduling was impacted by the Coronavirus situation on top of it being an emergency issue. They attempted to clear it numerous times and determined that due to the peculiarities of the property, a larger machine had to be brought in the next morning. to finish the job. By 10am the next day all was well. They were professional and polite, as always, prompt, thorough and I just can't say enough positives about the people or experience, from the phone intake person to the actual technicians. We felt they did everything and anything to get the job done properly, in the shortest amount of time. Highly recommend!!

I have used Armstrong plumbing for years. Milton Vance one of the owners is the God of plumbers as far as I'm concerned. HIs workmanship and knowledge cannot be beat. I have also used Jacob who is also meticulous like Milton and does great work. The only conplaint I have is they are very pricey. Their rates have gone up and up over the years which I have discussed with Milton as they have a lot of overhead. They charged me more than 50% of what the cost should have been on there new package pricing for installation of a new water heater. However again sometimes you do get what you pay for and Milton and Jacob are excellent plumbers!! Especially if you have something out of the ordinary or require more expertise they are the ones to call!

I was really happy with Armstrong Plumbing. I was able to get an appointment for a non- emergent issue quickly and was quoted an hourly price. As a realtor with over 25 years in the field I can tell you do not use Armstrong plumbing. They bill the most hours they can to pad the bill and they charge outrageous prices. For example a video line inspection for them is $295 but for their competition it is only $99.
On a sewer line repair that I was quoted for a rental I have at only $300 to fix the bill came in at over $800, padded with far more time then the technician actually spent on the property doing the job.

Do yourself a favor, NEVER use this company.

Armstrong Plumbing ~ what a great company. The guys were courteous, professional, and extremely qualified. They did a great job unplugging the line from our kitchen sink (75-ft.) to the bottom of the line. My husband tried for 24-hrs. to unplug the line but to no avail. These two were in, assessed the problem, and had it cleared out in about 30 minutes. BRAVO!

After setting appointments with 3 other plumbing contractors to get estimate on repair/replacing my pressure reducing valve, just 2 of them actually showed up and only one of them wrote an estimate. Apparently they were worried about the type of piping (Ki-Tech) so the one and only contractor threw out a ridiculous, 'hail-Mary' price. I tried looking up another contractor (Armstrong) had read their Yelp reviews. From the first person who answered their phone to Jason, who showed up (ON TIME), I felt extremely at ease. The repair was quick and efficient, their clean up was spotless and the cost was most reasonable. First Class Outfit. I actually have a company who I plan to use for all future plumbing needs.

Wow! I recently needed all the water pipes inside and outside my house replaced and I couldn't be more grateful I was referred to Armstrong.

From the employees in the office to the plumbers they sent out, everyone was very professional and helpful. Mark and Anthony spent an entire day digging out the back water line in 100-degree heat and even stayed late the last day of the job to fix my kitchen faucet! They worked fast and did an amazing job that cost what they bid the job for even though some problems with the house made the job last three days longer then expected. It's been a month now and the water pressure inside and outside my house is still amazing.

As a single woman with an older home, it's a huge relief to have a plumbing company so dependable, professional and efficient. Thanks guys!!!

Our hot water heater and garbage disposal decided to break on the same day, two days before thanksgiving! I was referred to Armstrong by Iverson Plumbing because they were too busy. I got an appt. that day for an assesment at 2pm and then they were able to come out the next day to replace my water heater and garbage disposal. They were fast and thorough and professional. Within 30 minutes of them installing the water heater, I had hot water!

Armstrong Plumbing's team, led by Peter Chappell, did an excellent job in repiping my house from old galvanized steel pipes to copper. They had expertise to handle whatever issues arose and did the entire job in a workmanlike manner. In addition, they were very professional in responding to all my concerns and in showing great respect for me, the homeowner, in accommodating my requests during the service. To cap it off, their bid actually came in lower than other contractors, with far less experience , who also bid the job. Sadly to say, paid nearly $500 and the leaking shower hot cold knobs still leaked. When asked fellow what this was on the drywall, I was told he wasnt here to look at that, just to fix dripping knob. Well the water leak was coming through the drywall... had to dry interior out for a week after sheetrock and tile was removed. Been in a hotel for a month, going through insurance and finally getting job done at its core issue. Frustrated to a tee...

WATCH OUT FOR ARMSTRONG PLUMBING

Armstrong Plumbing is not the plumbing service I used to know. If you don't know much about plumbing, or about tactics some plumbers use, I hope what happened to me does not happen to you.

After the initial $165.00 fee, Armstrong charges $82.50 by the half hour. All my toilet needed was a new wax ring. The average time to change out a wax ring takes no more than an hour. Once the Armstrong tech was here and had removed the toilet, he, too, said that this was an easy fix and shouldn't take long, and I made my first mistake- I left the room.

Suffice to say, two hours later, I checked in on him. The repair looked much as it did when he first pointed out the wax ring. I asked why he was not finished and the plumber said he did not have two screws he needed. He asked me to give him more time and he would figure something out. I could not see how more time would magically make two screws appear. I guessed that my bill was quickly approaching $300.00 and I explained I could not afford to keep adding to the Armstrong's $82.50 per half hour. I needed to find another plumber. The plumber said okay and then said I had fifteen minutes left on the half hour and offered to snake the sink and tub. (For maintenance purposes I had asked about the cost to snake. But that was hundreds of dollars earlier before the start of the job when I thought the toilet would be an easy fix).

I asked the Armstrong plumber to gather his tools and to sum up the bill. This time I didn't let more than a couple minutes pass before I check in on him. To my surprise, he had installed the toilet. What about the screws you needed?, I asked. He said he figured something out, just like the other parts he needed and figured out...What? Is my toilet installed right? Is the leak fixed? He said the toilet is not leaking, and nonchalantly added the toilet may not hold. ...What? Before I could ask him to clarify the comment, he was up and out of the bathroom. Are you sure you don't want me to snake? he asked. Again, I declined and he then said he forgot to tell me that he had already worked on the tub and the tub fixture was broken...What? When did he have time to look at my tub? I started to panic, wondering why he still had a plumbing tool in hand and why we weren't heading toward the front door. Before I could get ahead of him he was in my kitchen, leaning down at the kitchen sink, his back to me, the cabinet doors under the sink open, saying that I had a few minutes left on my time and didn't I want him to snake the sink? Too late. He stood, turned on the faucet and water started spraying out from under the sink. ...What?! I had just used that sink. Then, the Armstrong plumber with the warmest, friendliest smile, said not to worry, he could stay and fix the sink for me; it would take just a couple of hours. I really needed him out of my house. It took a bit of redirecting, but finally, we were outside. I sat with him on the garden bench, waiting for him to write up the bill and go.

Armstrong has gone paperless. The plumber took his time using his cellphone to write up the bill. When he showed me the cellphone screen, he asked me to look at the total amount due and to sign. Once I signed he said he would send me my copy. At the time, I did not know there was more on that invoice than he showed. No wonder he took so long. Once the copy was sent to me, I noted there was more in tiny print.

A few days later, Armstrong Plumbing's Customer Service called and left a message to see how I liked the service. The number they left goes straight to a voice message system. I left a short message asking to speak to a person about the service I received. The same person from Armstrong returned my message stating that customer service collects positive feedback.

A final point. The next plumber who came to fix the kitchen sink showed me how to fix the problem that was not there before the Armstrong plumber came near it. It did not take two hours to fix, as the Armstrong plumber claimed it would. It took less than a minute to fix.

Dealing with plumbing issues is not always easy or pleasant. Armstrong Plumbing and their representative Vince Rodriguez proved it is possible to turn a problem into a good experience. I made the appointment, they called to confirm and Vince called to let me know how long it would be before he arrived. He was pleasant, thorough and efficient. He resolved the reported issue and two others during his visit. I can heartily recommend Vince and Armstrong Plumbing! These people know their job and do it well and to your satisfaction.

Armstrong saved the day today! My shower drain wasn't working and was draining super slowly - it's the only shower in the house - and I called multiple places trying to find someone who could come and take care of it. Armstrong's phone service was great and super friendly, and they sent Ramon out right away (within 30 minutes) to check it out. Ramon and team called in advance to confirm the appointment, showed up on time, and were very considerate (masks, booties to go in the house, etc.).

Then (and this is the embarrassing part for me), Ramon realized that I had somehow turned on my drain stopper without realizing it (cue my intense embarrassment)! He showed me how to work the stopper, and even checked to make sure the water still drained correctly. I felt awful about adding an unnecessary appointment to their day, but they were so nice and considerate and understanding. I really appreciated not just the speedy service and care, but the overall good energy and kindness from the team.

I will definitely plan to call for any future issues - but I'll be sure to check the drain stopper first next time!

Greg came to check out my garbage disposal which was making a rattle sounding like metal on metal. I had pulled out a small piece of beat-up metal but there was still an unrhythmic metallic sound so I called Armstrong. Greg arrived on time and was very proficient in his processing the problem and and very deftly found the very tiny remaining piece of metal that was loose. Now my disposal hums like a baritone. Started with the person not showing up on time for my appointment, I had to call to see where he was. He came by and started to take measurements, 1.5 hours late, and started to apologize about what happened. He said he will give me a quote by Tuesday.
Tuesday came, no call no email. The following Friday I get a call saying he is still working on the quote, but he is going out of town and he will give it to me by Monday.

I waited 1 more week with no call, no email, no contact for a bid. I guess they didn't want my business.

Seriously disappointed with the service and rate charged by this company! I was given a 3 hour window for a tech to show up and he was 45 minutes late to replace 2 faucets in a bathroom. The tech broke the hot water line on one of the sinks and I was charged for that. I supplied the faucets and would have done the job myself if I didn't have a bad back. I looked on the Delta site for DIY video and very clear instructions were given to do the job. Estimated time according to them was 20 minutes for a non-trained professional. I even had a coupon from Angie's list and the job still cost $300. They charged 2 hours of labor. I guess I'm in the wrong business. I could do the job for half that price and still be a successful business person. And that was their discount price? So much for choosing a business just because they made on Angie's list!

When I called the office I was helped by a very pleasant, helpful voice on the other end. She asked if my issue was an emergency, which I responded no. An appointment was set up for the next day between 12-2. As we all know, that usually means 2 P.M., but to my surprise they arrived a few minutes after 12 PM. Within an hour my issue was fixed. Updating my review. I went to take a shower this weekend and... it leaked through what I assume is the shower subfloor through our kitchen ceiling. Not sure why it wouldn't leak when George and Dylan were here and turned the shower water on for a good 15 minutes, but did leak when I took a shower the next day? Positive: They were courteous and hard working. Negative: Didn't find the source of leak.

Wow, what can I say? George and his apprentice showed up when they said they would, and did a great job with persistence and good humor. I had a leak in my kitchen ceiling which we were sure came from a shower upstairs. They spent over an hour trying to find the source of the leak which turned out to be something in the roofline, going down a pipe past the attic and second floor, onto our kitchen ceiling. When I offered payment, they didn't charge me, as this was a visit for a free estimate. Really great service and professionalism. Thanks!

Somehow our sewer line got clogged and Corey came out quickly to diagnose the problem. He worked tirelessly to open the line even though the clog was fighting back. I recently looked into our basement and saw about a foot of water. I called Armstrong and they helped arrange for Quikdry to remove the water and for the Armstrong plumber to arrive just as the water was pumped out. All happened promptly as scheduled with the firms working well together.
Armstrong found and fixed the problem with our sump pump and we were saved a potentially great expense as our HVAC equipment is located in the basement.

my laundry room area was flooded with water and i didn't know exactly how the water from the washer flooded the area. it was bad and messy, so i came onto yelp and look for a plumbing service to help me fix the problem. this uneventful incident happened on a Sunday, and I don't know any independent own plumbing company will be available on Sunday. after reading reviews on Armstrong Plumbing, i gave them a call. they sent an on-call plumber to my home under an hour.

Jacob came and start analyzing the problem, and went ahead to help me clear the flood problem. he also search around the washer for any possible of leakage. after the service was done and paid for, Jacob offered to help me move the dryer and washer, so i can mop up the excess water that was left underneath. Jacob could have left and be on his way to another job call but he stayed for a bit extra; i appreciate his service and help so much on such a short notice. it just made my day easier. Jacob is a professional at what he does, very nice; he made sure he didnt leave any mess at the customer's hoome. i would recommend this place for their friendly service and professionalism. he told me they are on-call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. they will be there for their customer when they need them.

For the past few months I've encountered Armstrong Plumbing company vehicles driving erratically and way too close to other driver's bumpers. This morning, 3/22/23 at 7:24 a.m. while driving down Richards Blvd headed toward 160, truck number 40 was really close to the back of my vehicle and when he/she was able to get around me they proceeded to drive faster and ended up running the red light at the intersection of Richards and 160 where the light rail passes by. The time before this, truck number 40 on Wednesday, 1/25/23 at 7:23 a.m. while driving down 160 at the Exposition Blvd/Royal Oaks Dr exit was severely close to the vehicle in front of him (which I do have a picture of and it shows just how close truck 40 was to the driver in front of him/her). The other Armstrong trucks I've witnessed this type of behavior are with trucks 41 & 43. I did call the company a few times to report this on those times messages were left but no return call back.

I found that the individuals that came to my home to help out with a plumbing emergency were very friendly and professional and they fixed the issue I called for. My only complaint is that while they were here I asked for help regarding a related issue where my toilet took a very long time to refill

Several months later a houseguest looked at my toilet and taught me how to change the ' flapper' on the toilet! This was an easy five dollar fix and I did it myself ...I'm really disappointed and offended that the plumbers advised me that that issue was not repairable and it was something I had to live with... I don't think that it's right that they did not offer to help with something so easy

I had a fairly simple fix of a clog and ptrap replacement pipe. They did great after being late the communication was very good. It's Thanksgiving night so I understand.

They promised someone would get out and they delivered on that promise.

Pricing is not higher than anyone else. It's all pretty competitive. It is what it is.

I just had them come out again for the garbage disposal and again easy fix but they were pros. I'd trust they can do complicated jobs too!

Since you will not respond to my email, I am contacting you through here.
After using Armstrong, we feel very distraught and for lack of a better term ripped off.

Why are we being charged for time your technician Jon spent to call Rheem technical support, when your company's number was given to us by the Rheem support Center as a Rheem certified plumber? This means that Armstrong Technicians should be familiar if not experts in dealing with Rheem water heaters. So I feel that I had just paid for your UNTRAINED technician to learn on the job how to do his job, which he should already be trained for.

Furthermore, he did not find any new information that was different from what the Rheem tech support had told me last year in October 2020 which was to replace the gas valve and vapor sensor. And I did have someone install a brand new OEM Gas valve and vapor sensor in Oct but it was still flashing lights. That's when Alex came to take a look and it miraculously began to work when he turned it on. We mentioned to both Alex at that time, and to Jon this time that the gas valves and vapor sensors are only a few months old. I was hoping your technician Jon could have done an actual repair rather than call Rheem Tech support, or just straight up tell us he didn't know how to fix it.

Overall Jon was polite thus the one star. It's your fee charging system setup that is unreasonable. I don't mind to pay if it's an actual repair, but I shouldn't pay for something which you guys should already be experts on or for information I already got myself. I was told Your tech was on the phone for a long time with tech support and he was at the store almost an hour on Friday 1/8/21, so he must have been on the phone with Rheem for about 45 mins then?

We are all going through a tough time right now and I hope that I can trust you to charge me appropriately. At least not charge me for time your tech was on the phone with Rheem.

I had pilot light go out on water heater. They were great. A gentleman came out in a few hours on his way home. He lit the pilot, shut it off and then had me do it. I promise he was done in less than 6 minutes, charged $165 for the call. It was before 5pm so no overtime. I can say they were prompt and friendly BUT I will go BROKE if I had to have them come out for anything more extensive. Sunrise HVAC would have been $59 unfortunately they weren't available till next day. I should have taken a cold shower and had Sunrise come out next day. I called Armstrong the next day to ask if the rate was correct and if they would consider refunding a portion considering it took me longer to write the check out than the time spent lighting pilot. No dice

I called Armstrong last week after having issues with my toilet for months. Eventually plunging it no longer worked and it quit flushing all together. I called Armstrong Tuesday afternoon and requested a next day appointment. They were able to fit me in. As promised, the plumber called ahead to let me know he was on his way. The plumber who arrived, Mark, was super polite and knowledgable. The best part, he was in and out in thirty minutes and my problem was completely fixed! I would definitely recommend Armstrong Plumbing to others!

I called Armstrong Plumbing Tuesday morning to schedule a service call / repair for a regurgitating bathtub drain. I received an appointment for the following day between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. The cost estimate was $150 for the first 30 minutes, and $75 for each 30 minute increment thereafter. No one showed up at the appointed time, and no one called to let me know that we needed to reschedule. I tried calling their office for nearly an hour, and never got through to them. At 1:30 p.m. I called another local plumbing firm and scheduled an appointment for the following day. At 1:50 p.m. Michelle called from Armstrong to let me know they were having difficulty with their phones, and that the plumber was still on another job and would be delayed. I explained that I'd already made other arrangements.

What started as a simple project to replace a disposal unit took over a week. Thought I was safe going through a home improvement chain to purchase and install. Big mistake. Install took an hour or a little more, and had to call them back because the thing leaked. Got charged an additional $25 because they denied any responsibility!

Finally came to my senses and checked out Yelp. Called Armstrong and Peter was out Monday to fix the leak. He knew exactly what the problem was and replaced a pipe that the other guy 'trimmed' to make it fit. Next time I need any type of plumbing, I'm calling Armstrong.

The city inspector approved the work Armstrong did. I would not hire them again because their final billing exceeded their estimate by $1,613. There were three phases of work. I received only one written estimate. The other two were verbal.

Sewer line replacement:
We received an estimate for $2235 to replace the sewer line, which was supposed to cover labor and materials.
They charged us $3,120 just for labor PLUS $291.80 materials. (huh?)
Final cost: 39 percent over estimate, AND they charged us for materials.
Surprise! Number 1

Permits:
During the course of work, they had to pull two permits. We finally received a verbal estimate of $1,000 for that portion of the work. Armstrong told us the cost of Permit No 1 was $600 and a couple hundred for the other.
Final cost: $1,208.
12 percent over verbal estimate
Surprise!! Number 2

Water line replacement
Received verbal estimate of $300-$400
Final cost: $503
25 percent over verbal estimate
Surprise!!!! Number 3.

All those surprises added up to a total of $5248.69.

We were anticipating total costs of $3,635 ($2235 sewer line + $400 water line + $1,000 for permits)
My calculator tells me that's a $1,613 difference

What I'd want other people to know about Armstrong is that at no point during the course of the work were we informed about how costs were escalating or why. It should have been a simple courtesy for them to do, right? I mean, just give us a call and let us know.

Instead we found out how much we owed only after we received an invoice by email.
I wrote to Armstrong expressing these same thoughts.
Never heard a word from them.

I gotta say I was so impressed with Armstrong! I needed my sewer snaked out and I did not have a cleanout. I had called another plumbing company to come out first and they said since I did not have a cleanout they were going to have to go on the roof and charge me over 300 dollars! I called Armstrong and George came out and found where the sewer line was without having to go on my roof and charged me 165!!! He took the time to find the line and dig the hole necessary to do the clean out! Was so impressed with them I will always call them for my plumbing needs!!

Had a surprise leak caused by a company who came out to install a washer ... and never told me they broke anything. Needless to say not thrilled to see water leaking out of garage coming home from work. Called them as they are highly rated and they sent out Kenny who was here for under an hour and fixed the issue. Dwaine D. did an excellent job of coming to my house and fixing my water heater issue quickly. I had scheduled the apt for 1-4pm. At 330 he called to say he was not going to make it by 4. We agreed on 7pm and he showed up right on time, fixed the issue within 30 min and was on his way. I really liked that he took ownership to complete the job in the day that was agreed. He easily could have pushed me off to the next day.

I gave 4 stars instead of five for two reasons. Armstrong did miss the commit window and they were on the expensive side. However, the problem was fixed same day and Dwaine was great to work with.

I wrestled with leaving a review but it's now been about 60 days and every time I look at my kitchen sink I get more irritated knowing I'll probably have to call someone to fix what they did.

So- to start, things were pretty great. Armstrong responded pretty immediately and was able to send someone out pretty quickly. My initial call was for a leaking pipes under the kitchen sink. I couldn't find the leak but my cupboard was always wet. He comes out and in 5 mins says it's my faucet. I thought that was weird because the faucet was relatively new- but hey, it was an inexpensive faucet maybe that was why it was leaking I figured. So I arranged for them to come out and replace that faucet and two faucets in the master bathroom (those were for aesthetics).

They come out and replace the faucets, leave behind screws and a sundry on other repair items. But guess what? The pipes under the sink are till leaking. You would think I'd decide to go elsewhere at this point right? Nah, I double down. Call them back. They say it's something else. So I ask to get that repaired but also ask to replace my kitchen sink- for aesthetics because a different sink would look better with the new faucet I bought (one that I'm still wondering if it was even needed). They tell me what size to get- saying too big is not a problem but too small is.

So I do that- and they send a team of completely different guys to install the sink- ones who won't speak to me but are giving me every impression the sink won't work. I call the office and speak with Gabriel and ask for the original team who has been working in my house to come out and install the sink I bought based upon their specifications.

They come out... attempt to install the sink- tell me they have to cut the cupboard adjacent cause of the size (also damaging glassware in that cupboard because they didn't bother to ask me to remove it) so I'm starting to think- perhaps these dudes for Armstrong Plumbing really don't know what they are doing.

He caulks up my sink and goes.

Then the caulk is cracking and yellowing. I call them back and he accuses me of touching the caulking prematurely like I'm a 5 year old. He caulks some more. Runs out of caulk. (By the way the caulking is still cracking and turning colors)

Then this faucet, this brand new faucet, is loose and not secured and leaking. I call for them to come back out. He accuses me of jerking on the faucet to loosen it (granted they were just here a week ago so I managed to man handle it to this point- not that he just had shoddy workmanship).

So, I have a sink installed, ugly dirty caulking around it (that I'll probably need to go to another company to repair)

So to summarize: I probably never needed to replace my first faucet and frankly I'm unhappy and would prefer to never deal with them again

This morning I did dishes and my drain blooped. Thought nothing of it until I went back in the kitchen 30 minutes later to find my laundry water backed up into the kitchen sink. I hit the grinder to get rid of it, and the pipe under the sink explodes off, water everywhere, including last nights food remnants and laundry water :(.

Crafty as he is, my husband says go rent an auger, I will clear it out. Hmmm..Note: I wanted to call a plumber. Long story short: I rent the auger for $25, my husband has to open two pipes, TRY to snake them (before work), breaks the cable (which costs me an extra $60 to replace when I return the darn rental) , can't get through...goes to work and leaves me with the broke auger to take back.

I call Armstrong Plumbing because of their excellent reviews here on Yelp. I cringe at the prices, but then I have no idea what a plumber costs. Call two other places that are a bit cheaper, but very iffy about when they can come out. Remember, I have two open pipes in my house, and it is getting ready to storm.

I call Armstrong back, and Michelle dispatches someone IMMEDIATELY. Steve calls me a few minutes later to tell me they are on the way.

When he assesses the problem and my creative pipes (we are also dealing with the water pipe from the washing machine now, since hubby decided to remove it too), he suggests just replacing the pipes. Honestly, since this is the 3rd or 4th time the pipe has busted, I don't even ask what it costs, I just ask if I have to give him my first born. Steve says: we work quickly and efficiently!.

Well yes, they do. Steve and Victor finished the job quickly. Everything is clean. Whatever clogged my pipe is gone, Steven even unclogged the tub for me. My new pipes look great and sturdy.

Though it was a bit pricey and unexpected, I feel confident that it is a job well done. And I still have my first born.

UPDATE! I already have an update, not a day has passed.
I ran my washing machine, and when the water pumped out, it flooded my pantry :(.....yuck. I called Armstrong AGAIN, and Brooklyn sent Steve back. He was literally here in 20 minutes. He and Victor checked all the lines, ran the water to make sure the pipes weren't clogged. My washing machine was a mystery. Steven ran another line into the pipe and pulled out a clog of gross grease :(. He ran the machine, made sure the water was going where it was supposed to. No charge. Definitely good customer service.

I recently bought my first home which unfortunately didn't have any hookups for washer/dryer. I called Armstrong Plumbing for an estimate to replace a utility sink with washer hookups and install a gas line and exhaust for my gas dryer. They made an appointment for me just 2 days later to have someone come out. The two workers they sent out where fantastic. They called to let me know they were coming, which was earlier than my scheduled appointment, They looked at everything, discussed options then created a breakdown quote. I opted to wait on the dryer for now until I'm a little better off financially for it but wanted to go ahead with the washer. To my great delight and surprise they were able to do it right away. They were both clean and professional, they moved my washer and hooked it up, tested it and went over what all they had done. They gave me tips and emailed the quote for the dryer hookups explaining the timeline for getting that work done since it does require a permit and were completely finished and gone within a few hours. I couldn't have been happier with my experience or my service techs. I will be using them again for my dryer hookup install and any other plumbing needs that I may have with this old home I just bought!

I just moved into my new home, first one with a clean-out, when toilet paper started to flood my front yard! Apparently that is what a clean out does when the line is blocked. It was Sunday when i called and they were closed but luckily the dispatch put my name in queue and they called me first thing Monday morning. Jon K called me and let me know when he'd be arriving, he was quick and informed me at each step, he also provided different options on work that could be done to improve the line. After clearing the line, the next day I received emailed estimated quotes for the different options. Been using these guys since the owner was an apprentice. This time a tricky dishwasher install to replace a 30+ old system including old type hook-ups. Definitely not a plug and play. Alex and his partner ( sorry I didn't get his name because he was great too) conquered the obstacles and got the new one in and hooked up like it was always there. A perfect fit. My tenant in my duplex had her bathroom sink clogged. She verified the trap was clean, and that the clog was in the drain in the wall.

Anyway, I called Armstrong this morning. Terry took the call and indicated that they were pretty booked today, however they could get someone out here this afternoon. Around 1:30, George came by. Friendly guy, great with dogs (major plus). He went in and was done in a mere 15 minutes. It cost my $81 (I had a 10% off coupon). The clog was only 3 feet in, and was easy to remove.

George and Terry were very honest, professional, and friendly. I'll definitely hire them again.

In 2014 our old hot water heater died and could not be repaired. We called Armstrong Plumbing and we purchased a new Bradford & White hot water heater with installation from Armstrong Plumbing. Since 2014 we had four or five service calls on our new hot water heater. With each service call, Armstrong Plumbing would come out and troubleshoot the problem. We were frustrated that a new hot water heater would need any service calls. Recently, the hot water heater stopped heating altogether. Very frustrating. We called Armstrong Plumbing and they came out again today. To make a long story short, there were many calls today between Armstrong Plumbing and the Bradford & White Company and many calls between the Brandford & White customer serivce number and us. In the end, Armstrong Plumbing and Bradford & White all stood behind their products and service and we ended up getting a brand new hot water heater, all installed, with no cost to us. To be certain, it was a hassle for all parties involved but it makes all the difference when a company can help out a consumer and do the right thing! A big shout out to Armstrong Plumbing manager Forest Dunning, plumber Peter Chappell and apprentice plumber Dylan Gibson for supporting their customers and doing the best job possible!

Our garbage disposal broke...OK, so there was a broken shot glass in there which jammed the motor. My wife thought she could fix it herself but ended up making it worse and had water leaking everywhere.

We called Armstrong Plumbing first thing Monday morning and the woman who took the call was very nice and gave us their first appointment. They were at our house within an hour!!

The guy who was sent out, Anthony, did a great job explaining the problem to us and what to do the next time the motor stops. The price was very affordable and definately worth the learning experience.

When I got the mail tonight, there was a letter thanking us for choosing them and a 10% discount card on the next service.

Thank you Armstrong. Hopefully we won't have a need for a plumber again, but if we do, you'll be the first call.

We started a simple project of installing a BBQ gas line in our backyard with Armstrong, signing the contract on July 10. It is now October 23, and the project is just now complete. Numerous administrative issues with permitting, credit cards being charged twice, and one representative who balked at politely being asked to wear a mask. The engineers were generally polite and pleasant but grossly misjudged the project, resulting in a large delay from the original timeline.

Once again, Armstrong Plumbing did a great job for me. My rental house had major drain problems (twice) and the Armstrong plumbers not only cleared the blockages but used a camera to correctly diagnose the root cause of the blockages. The lead plumber, Jon Kim, hydro-jetted and cleared a section of the main drain line that had built up a thick layer of grease over many years. Problems solved. I've used Armstrong Plumbing for many years at both my rental house and my personal residence -- they consistently provide excellent service.

I am writing this review literally only 2 hours after calling them. We discovered a small gas leak from our oven and PG&E shutoff the gas to the house until we could fix it. I called Armstrong plumbing and in less than an hour a technician was at our house evaluating the situation. Vince was very thorough and excellent at explaining everything to us and verifying that the problem was fixed before he left, and he even checked to make sure there were no leaks in other locations. Can't recommend them highly enough! Saved the day!

I had a terrific experience with Armstrong Plumbing back in October so when our kitchen sink mysteriously back up again, they were the first company I called. We were told that someone would call back shortly as it was after hours. We waited and were worried that our situation was going to get stretched out to after 10pm. We decided to call other service companies in hopes we could get someone to come by. Apparently it was a busy night for plumbers but figured with the next two days being NY eve and NY day, rates would be through the roof. Compounding matters is that service techs would be hard to come by too. I looked on You Tube to try and come up with self-fixes but nothing worked. I didn't want to get under the sink and dismantle things only to make things worse so we waited. Jason from Armstrong called. He indicated he got my call and could come by - he's in the midst of another call. Long story short, Jason came by and snaked a portion of the pipes and all was well. He did additional checks to ensure the line was cleared. He explained that kitchen sinks can clog up even though a person does not put grease or food down the disposal (which we don't). It appeared to be a long day for him but he was courteous, professional and thorough.

My second experience with Armstrong Plumbing. It was consistent with my initial encounter, positive. That said, based on my experience, if there is another plumbing problem within our house, I will continue to use AP.

These guys have been to my house a lot- After a good first experience I had them install my bathroom.

Now I am just fed up. It is almost impossible to just get a time for someone to come over and do a little job. Their motto might be old fashioned plumbing, but my father is a plumber. This isn't any type of service I consider old fashion. It actually isn't service.

I called first thing this morning wanting them to reseal my tub and drain so I can take a bath in my bathroom which is less than 6 months old and leaking at the drain (that they sealed) and I wanted to caulking redone as it has pulled away from the tub (not their work)

Apparently they needed to call me back about this- .. Um okay??? Your so over stretched you can't tell me if you have anyone available to come do my little job- 7pm and still nothing- really? nothing, not a word- not even, sorry we are booked. I mean really?

Based on good reviews here and on Angie's List, I called to request an estimate for some plumbing work. The person answering the phone took a message and said that an estimator would telephone me.

First problem: My call was not returned until four working days later. Second problem: The estimator did not show up at the promised time and date, nor did he call beforehand to warn me that he wasn't coming or afterwards to apologize for not coming. Will be taking my business elsewhere.

My experience with Armstrong was frustrating, time-consuming, and expensive. The only positive thing I can say is that our technicians were knowledgeable and got the work done.

After receiving an on-site estimate and scheduling a gas line project over a week in advance, the Armstrong office called to cancel on the day of the appointment, and their office suggested that I could pay for their technician's overtime if I wanted them to come out for our scheduled appointment. When we actually got our techs on site, they found some additional work that needed to be done before they could turn our gas back on - but their office was unable to schedule the follow-up for three full days after our first appointment, leaving us with no heat or hot water in the middle of December. And on the day of our scheduled follow-up, our Armstrong tech called to cancel, saying that the office hadn't even ordered the parts they needed for the job.

While some of the office staff were helpful and tried to do what they could to amend the situation, others were dismissive and rude. After all of these problems and over $1300 spent, Armstrong has not so much as given us a call to follow up.

I regret selecting Armstrong and will not be calling them back.

I had a leak under bathroom sink. I called Armstrong and they were able to squeeze me in. Peter showed up a little late, but they called to let me know he would be late. Great customer service! Peter gave me two estimates to make the repair, the cheapest way (was not recommended) or the right way. I decided to replace the whole piping as the accordion connector was not reliable. The whole thing took about an hour. Peter was quick/efficient and very courteous, and it looks like the job is holding, so he did a great job fixing the problem. I have high confidence in Armstrong Plumbing and would definitely use them again.

I'm torn about writing an update with a lower star score but here is the deal:

The same day as the water pipe was fixed by Armstrong my gas line sprung a leak at the point of where the work was done for the water line... (old house and the gas line was in the dirt near the water line) Giving Armstrong the benefit of the doubt I do believe that the gas line was old and the distubance made it crack or break.

The part that bothers me was the $800 quote from Armstrong to do a simple fix of the gas line. My husband fixed it for $50 in parts in one hour. Several people I told about the quote said $800 was too much. I cannot say what the quote entailed because it was not broken down by parts, labor, etc. it was just a lump sum quote.

I think Armstrong is probably a good company, but maybe on the pricey side. If you use them ask if they will do a detailed quote explaining all costs.

We came home from vacation on a Saturday morning, and found our kitchen sink would not drain. I tried to snake the drain myself, but only had a 25 foot snake. I called Armstrong, and they came right out!!
Mike did a great job! He even protected the floor before kneeling down and setting up his machine!!
He was completed in less than a half hour!! (I should have called them first, but I like to try on my own).
Very professional job and staff! From the initial call, to the tech HIMSELF calling me about a half hour before he showed up!! I thought that kind of old fashioned courtesy and professionalism was a dying art.

I don't recommend Armstrong plumbing for projects. we paid approz $2000.00 for a gas line installation that has failed inspection TWICE now. And its 2-3 weeks later with NO reinspection scheduled. after i called to leave a message for Brooklyn we hear its finally scheduled for tomorrow. we've rescheduled and delayed our appliances for delivery TWICE now all due to this project coordinator LACK of tracking.

I've used Armstrong Plumbing three times. Honestly, this time was not the best performance but my experience shows that the make things right. I set up an appointment to have my toilet replaced. It was the second one they have replaced. It was a straightforward job with no issues. Based on my previous experience, I figured I would save time by draining the toilet and disconnecting the water line. I also took off the tank and prepared the new toilet for installation by taking it out of the box and laying it out on the cardboard in an adjacent room. Long story short, it took this tech twice as long as the tech who installed the first toilet where I did not prep anything. All I can say is when I pointed this issue out, they made it more than right by deducting the extra time from my bill.

Very good service and quality installation, but not worth the price I was charged. $617 for 50 minutes of labor to replace garbage disposal and kitchen faucet. (I supplied the disposal and faucet.) Next time I need to have a plumbing fixture replaced, I will hire a handyman, use Home Depot's service system, or hire a lawyer to do the installation. Any of those options will cost a lot less!

Just had Armstrong Plumbing out today to unclog our drain. They were professional and wasted no time getting to work. They seemed very knowledgeable in their area of expertise, and were able to quickly assess the issues surrounding our 60 year old home with all of it's remodels and additions. They not only unclogged the pipes but went right to work on correcting an under-the-sink leak that has been annoying us for about a month. A job well done for a fair price. I'm confident that the job was done correctly, and I have the feeling that if something should need to be corrected that they'll be out without a hassle.

Pros - Provides 24-hour service & great customer service; Cons - The after-hours Saturday night fee was expensive!

Had a service call today because the water heater went out the other night. I couldn't get it re-lit until the following day for some reason so I called Armstrong, since I had good experiences with them in the past.

Josh came out at the appointed time and looked everything over. He couldn't find a damn thing wrong but it wasn't for lack of trying. It's something that occasionally happens with a 10-year-old water heater, apparently. Josh's inspection revealed that everything was in good working order, so that was that. At least I don't have to worry about it, and I know what my options are in case the worst happens.

This past Saturday, I noticed a leak on the line that feeds our sprinkler system. Unfortunately, it was before the shut off valve, so that wasn't an option. I called Armstrong and they sent George out who showed up about an hour later (Saturday afternoon!). He explained what he would need to do to fix it properly, and that he didn't have all the parts on hand and could just cap the leak for now and finish the job on Tuesday. The whole time we were there, he was explaining everything he was doing, which was very helpful. He capped the leak, gave us an estimate on how much it would cost to fix the job.. told us if we cleared the shrubs around the pipe, and dug a little, it would save on time, thus saving on labor.

On Tuesday he showed up on time, and fixed it in about 45 minutes. It was a lot quicker than what he quoted us (which we already agreed would be fine), and he adjusted the price. That was nice that he was honest.

He also noticed our main water line wasn't turned on all the way. He fixed that, and our water pressure is so much better.. and the sprinklers that I thought were broken, are actually fine! They just didn't have enough pressure in them. Thanks!

I'll call back if I have any other plumbing issues!

When I called Armstrong Plumbing yesterday and explained that both my washing machine and dishwasher were backing up into my kitchen sink and that I had company coming for five days next week, they schedule an appointment for 7:00-9:00pm last night and added that the technician they were sending was fast and one of their best and that he might call me to ask about coming earlier. Bruce called just after 5:30 and arrived shortly afterwords. He listened to my description and set to work. I checked the backup from the dishwasher last night and the washing machine this morning. No problems. I would definitely recommend Armstrong Plumbing for any plumbing needs; professional employees and competitive rates.

This was my first time using Armstrong Plumbing. As a first time homeowner, plumbing is new territory for me. We purchased an older home and had to retrofit the water heater to bring it up to code, run water lines & create drainage for a washing machine. In addition to cutting & removing older piping. Peter Chapelle is amazing. He is very thoughtful in his approach and took the time to explain the work he was performing. He gave real advice & helped me prioritize the work I needed done vs trying to up sell me on additional tasks.

They were great guys, very pleasant and courteous. They did professional work. (Although they didn't re-caulk around the shower valve trim kit - something I'll have to do, and the whole point was for them to do what I don't have time for.)

But here's the sketchy part. They walked into my house and stood in my kitchen as I explained the details of the job. I looked at my kitchen clock, and it read 11:46 AM. Their bill says work started at 11:30 AM. They stopped work around 1:20 PM and sat in the truck writing out the bill - which, you guessed it, says they worked until 1:30 PM. I feel like I paid for a half-hour of phantom work.

So, if your experience is like mine, you'll get nice people, professional but incomplete work, and an inaccurate bill.

My water heater went out. A few things in life makes one hit the panic button. A unexpected cold shower in an early winter morning is one of those moments, trust me. I spoke with an estimator, Bill, who walked me through a checklist to determine if the water heater needed replacement. He said it didn't sound like the water heater needed to be replaced (ok, that's honest). He said it is likely a pilot light issue. Next, I spoke with the scheduler, Matthew. He further informed me of 3 possible issues, but the pilot is the most likely one. I received an estimate for a water heater replacement and an estimate for the pilot issue, to cover the spectrum. Mark the repair guy calls 30 minutes before arrival, for a heads-up. He arrived within the first hour of the 2 hour time window. He diagnosed the anticipated pilot issue and determined it was most likely something else (another point for know-how). The actual repair was completed for less than the estimated problem. Everyone we dealt with was very knowledgeable and very courteous. And best of all, the job was done below the estimate. The only thing they didn't do was bring a pepperoni pizza. Honest and competent service gets 5 stars.

I picked Armstrong because of good Yelp! reviews.

Had to get shower faucet leak and other stuff fixed. A plumber came out same day. My house has ancient hardware, and he broke his tool trying to get the faucet handle off. He fixed the other issues but he couldn't fix that part of the problem. It certainly wasn't the plumber's fault--the house is built in 1949 and things are old and stuck.

Armstrong people called back a few days later to ask about how I rated their service and I told them all was good but there was this unfixed part of the work. They sent Milton out free of charge and he spent well over an hour getting that stubborn handle off and fixing the problem.

So basically Armstrong rocks and I will definitely call them again.

They came out to fix our water heater twice, charging us for the first fix but not the second. We continued to have problems so we called back. They said they'd try another fix for another $193 (after paying $162 the first time for a fix that didn't work). The water heater is under warranty but they said that the manufacturer was requiring these fixes before they could replace it. Further, if this $193 fix didn't work, we'd have to pay for the full price of labor to replace it, another $500-$600. So basically they would not back up their work at all and we could be out about $1,000. However, I called the manufacturer and they were confused why Armstrong would charge us again after failing to fix it the first time. After that brief phone call, the manufacturer set us up with a new water heater, which we will certainly have someone else install. I'm glad we got nothing for our money and they refused to stand behind their work.

I see now there was an additional response. Regardless of what the warranty did or did not cover, we got NOTHING for the $162 we spent for their two trips. They fixed nothing and then asked for us to pay for the entire labor cost for another fix. So we wasted $162 thanks to their inability to fix the problem despite two attempts. Then the manufacturer's representative flat out said they didn't think Armstrong should charge us again and offered a new water heater. Any way you spin it that is bad service from Armstrong. They were unable to fix the problem in two trips then wanted more money. Enjoy the money we paid you for not doing your job.

These are 5 stars well deserved! My husband and I moved into a house 8 months ago with an ancient clog at the very end of the line. We thought it would be a fortune to fix, so we lived with it until we could no longer (sitting water in the sink). We had someone from $55 Sewer and Drain (or whatever) come out to take a look and they said they couldn't snake it because of a T-fixture and that the only way to fix it was to go to the basement, cut the pipe, and let the nasty water/funk drain into our basement, which would then be OUR problem to fix (his answer was to soak it up with lye- once again, how is cleanup our problem??), and wanted to charge us $150 for basically screwing with our pipes, which I'm pretty sure any delinquent off the street would have done for $10 and a pack of cigarettes. So I saw the great reviews for Armstrong and called them right away. I spoke with Matt, who was very polite and knowledgeable, and after some hemming and hawing, I made an appointment. George (my hero) came out right away. He was clean, efficient, made friends with my dog (big plus), and knew he could snake the line, no problem. He told me what he was doing each step of the way, double-checked his work, and even had our washer working (something we've not been able to do since we moved in!)!!! No more laundromat!!! I couldn't be happier. They charged me $137 for the whole thing, and I have a serious spring in my step today. Highly recommended!!!

Used Armstrong's trench-less division on a commercial building to replace all the old galvanized main lines from city shut off to building shut off and then to each unit. Every single person from Armstrong was a pleasure to work with and I met quite a few of them. This was a fairly complicated job that had to be done around seven tenant's schedules but working late or early was no problem for them. I asked for a few extra items and they helped fix issues that were not their fault with no complaints whatsoever, not even an eye roll. It was a great experience.

We had Armstrong come out to fix a clogged toilet last week. They charged us $150 just to come out and look at the problem. After a couple mins, they told us that we had roots in our pipes and they were not equipped to handle this situation and they would need to call in a second party to fix the situation. After they informed us of this, they asked for payment. (We had a coupon for them but he would not accept and told us we had to inform them over the phone first. Nowhere on the coupon does it say that nor did they inform us on the phone we had to tell them of coupons beforehand. Coupon literally says, Armstrong Plumbing Plumbing-$20 off to Angie's List Members. Please print coupon and present at time of service. please do not combine with other offers. New Customers Only.) And then he was gone and our bathroom was left a mess with root debris inside the toilet bowl and roots and toilet water all over our bathroom floor. He also left our bathroom door (which leads outside) wide open. In the end, we paid a ridiculous amount of money with no solution unless we were willing to pay even MORE to have someone ELSE come and do the job.

We wanted a second opinion so we called Boyd Plumbing and the people of Boyd came out to us to look at the problem FOR FREE and then proceeded to fix the problem within 20 min. When we explained what happened with Armstrong, the Boyd Plumber was confused as to why a plumping company wasn't able to fix our simple plumbing issue. The Boyd Plumber worked hard and nonstop for a couple of hours, explaining things throughout his time here to us, making sure we understood what was going on. The Boyd Plumber also cleaned our bathroom of the mess made by his work, and did not leave it dirty like Armstrong did. But Boyd only charged for the services performed and not a per hour rate like Armstrong.

Unprofessional and Overpriced! I would expect since they charge more than average I would get above average service, but I had a bad experience.

Problem 1) You would think when you pay $260 for 45 min. of service they would have their own supplies, but as muddy pipe water was spilling out onto the floor the plumber asked if I had any towels. In the urgent situation I grabbed 3 which he used.
Problem 2) He left all three towels soaked and covered in thick, black muck in the sink. The least he could have done is rinsed them out or asked where to leave them. The entire area he worked on was left wet and dirty.
Problem 3) He did not communicate anything to me. I had to ask several questions to which I got short or one word answers. Any service person should explain what the problem is and how they are going to fix it without me asking a bunch of questions.
Problem 4) The lady I spoke with was friendly at first, but tried to defend everything I was telling her instead of apologizing for the horrible service, but she could not fight all the facts above. Once I explained all the problems listed above, she had nothing to say but she would relay the info to the supervisor who would call as soon as he got out of a meeting, but ...
Problem 5) Never called

As a homeowner and professional property manager I have done business with a lot of plumbers over the years and this was the first time I felt so disrespected.

What the company doesn't know is I could have given them several referrals as I am in the business of taking care of properties, but instead I will let home and apartment complex owners know they should not use this company.

All this could have been resolved with a simple sorry and offer to refund a percent for the bad experience, but they chose to ignore me.

On November 22, 2010, my sewer line got clogged, and every time we flush the toilet or use the sink, water bubbles from the toilet. Water also bubbles from the main bath and the shower in the master bedroom. What's worse was when we flush the toilet in the main bath, water squirt out of the toilet in the master bedroom bath. To make matters worse, having small kids in the house, it was very inconvenient since kids needs to use the toilet constantly.

I then went to the yellow pages, but didn't know which one to use, so I ended up online reading reviews. I found plenty of reviews on Yelp.com and it helped me made my decision much faster!

I called Armstrong Plumbing, Peter came by and he snake out the clogged sewer line; outside and inside line.

Vince called to let me know he would arrive in 20 minutes, he arrived on time, made sure he used shoe covers before he ever entered the house.
Once I showed him the job, he estimated how long it would take and finished the in that amount of time, made sure I had no leaks and that everything was cleaned up before he left. I would highly recommend Armstrong and would ask for Vince.

Since I had such a good experience the first time I called Armstrong Plumbing I didn't hesitate to call them again. Jon showed up on time and was not only friendly but very professional. After discussing my concerns, Jon was very thorough checking both inside and outside my house. Luckily there was nothing seriously wrong. Everything was cleaned up and you would never know he was even here.

This was the first time we've ever used a plumber. I searched for a reliable one on yelp and found Armstrong. The reviews that said they did not get a call back, well, I had a different experience. I left my information with a live chat operator on their website on Sunday, on Monday I called their office and arranged for someone to come out on Tuesday (my schedule conflict, not theirs or else they could have sent someone on Monday) Tuesday I received a call from their online staff. I was iffy on if they'd call me online...it was a pleasant surprise to get a call.

Furthermore, the associate sent to resolve our old home plumbing problem was Peter. He was so nice and friendly and got the job done super fast and for a very affordable price.

Bottom line is, thanks to the price and efficiency of Armstrong Plumbing I am no longer anxious to seek outside plumbing help...and with our old house, I'm sure we'll be calling them again.

I just want to thank Armstrong plumbing for hiring Jon! True blue collar hero. I woke up on a Saturday ago find sewage coming out of my tubs in both bathrooms. Contacted home warranty and they said they couldn't get in contact with anyone until Monday! I was panicking. They said I needed to find a plumber that can come out if I wanted someone to fix it. So at this point I'm in tears. I go on yelp and type in plumber and that's how I found Armstrong. I read nothing but good reviews. By this point I had called pother plumbers that wouldn't even answer the phone. The receptionist was so mice, she said she would be able to squeeze me in. She gave me a window of 2-5 and they came in that window Jon was excellent at communicating what needed to be done and fixed. He listened to me vent and seen me shed a few tears. It was affordable and for me being a new first time homeowner, I didn't feel like I was being ripped off. Def will be sending referrals to Armstrong and will be a lifelong customer! Very pleased with the service Jon provided! He deserves a promotion!! I also love the fact Rosie the Riveter is on the service uniforms which is pretty awesome. I had a really bad experience with another local big box store style plumbing company. After consulting Yelp, I discovered Armstrong Plumbing. I decided to give them a try. I'm glad I did! They did a fantastic job removing our 90 year old plumbing in our bathroom and installing our new tub/shower fixture. They also fixed our low water pressure situation too. They were affordable, professional and did the job (which was not easy) in a few short hours. We will definitely be using Armstrong in the future. We are very pleased with the work they did.

Called for a hot water heater evaluation and replacement estimate. The technician was very knowledgeable, honest and friendly. Though my heater is getting old we are not having any issues. My realtor chose Armstrong based on past experience to scope the lines on a hew house. I was there for the inspection. Kenny was thorough and provided a video of his findings. We originally had him for booked for 1.5 hours, but he said he finished the scope in half the time. He only charged us for half his time. It's nice to see that kind of honesty still exists. Had a backed up main sewer line at 7 pm on a Saturday night. Their dispatcher connected me with Bruce who came out when he said he would (about 30-60 minutes after the call). The access point was not very easy to access but he figured out a way to get through the fence and quickly removed the blockage, buttoning everything up about 30 minutes after he arrived.

Really happy with the service at Armstrong. It's never going to be cheap to get a professional out to your house at 8 pm on a weekend but you can only hope that you get what you pay for. In this case I did. These guys are going to be my first call from now on.

Woke up this morning to my roommate trying to unclog the shower drain and because he had to go to work I got tasked with fixing it. After calling half a dozen places and getting the run around everywhere else (one very high rated plumber couldn't see me until Mon.! really?!?!?) I gave Armstrong a call. They told me they would dispatch someone and they would be there within an hour. George got here in 20 minutes!!!! He got right down to business and unclogged the drain no problem. My entire experience with the company lasted less than an hour, from the time I called to the time I paid my invoice. I don't know how much better a deal I could have gotten elsewhere but it was worth the $81 for the expedient, no nonsense service. Oh, and giving yelp users a %10 discount is a nice bonus. They definitely have my repeat business. I only regret not calling them sooner :)

He knew how stressed & worried I was about what had happened with my plumbing & was able to rid me of those worries. His apprentice Bruce is very fortunate to be trained by someone with integrity. This has been the best experience I have had with any home repair business. I had a botched Water Heater install by another business that left me without a solution. Having ZERO water in my Kitchen, Laundry, and only cold water in the tub is no fun Then being told by the owner of the company that did the hack job that it's my problem & to call a plumber is just wrong! Armstrong Plumbing gave me a detailed report of everything not up to code or permitted & identified that my water pressure/blockages were the direct result of an improper install. These guys were great! I found them initially on Yelp and saw that they had really good reviews. I am a new homeowner and had a knocking sound in my plumbing at different times through the day. It was starting to get progressively louder, which worried me because I didn't want a pipe to burst! I called Armstrong and went through the problem with their very nice staff. They were able to come that Saturday, which was great because I work Monday-Friday. They were upfront about the price so I knew what I was getting into.

I had attempted to reroute my plumbing vent line in order to install a recessed medicine cabinet. Unfortunately, I didn't do a very good job and the line sprung a leak. Update:
And here's another update for you. Armstrong got back to me after I pestered their poor receptionists a few times. They ended up sending a tech out the day after the incident and that tech rigged up the drain such a way that this shouldn't happen again. I guess time will tell.

Their Service Manager and main dispatcher/scheduler, were really helpful and very apologetic. Not thrilled with how this went down and I'm still looking at some damage to my kitchen cabinetry where I didn't slather on the silicone quite well enough, but hey. I can use my sink again and it's dry.

In the five months since Armstrong installed my kitchen sink drains in my new house, they have been out more than 3 times to fix a pipe that keeps coming off of another pipe. My newly installed kitchen cabinets have been drenched at least 6 times as a result.

This is completely not ok. Do the job right or don't do it at all. I can't have water everywhere because my plumber installs things in a way that is failure prone. And honestly, this isn't rocket science. After the first two failures you'd think someone would consider that maybe the way things were installed needed to change, but nope. Just keep reattaching things and hoping for the best seems to be the tactic here.

When I called to speak to leadership, I was told I had to wait for a callback. When I asked how long that would be, I was told that they didn't know but that it would be flagged as urgent. It's been over 40 minutes and nothing.

I've done at least 5 or 6k in business with this company in the past, but I don't know what's going on with Armstrong right now. In any case,I'm not satisfied and will avoid using them in the future. Here's hoping I can get them to make a definitive fix whenever their management deign to call me back.

A supply line coupling failed and water was shooting everywhere in an upstairs guest bathroom!! Our home warranty company called six different companies, all of whom did not have appointments until after the weekend on Monday! The home warranty approved us to contact an outside service so we called Armstrong Plumbing, and they were able to come out within 2 hours. Vince Rodriguez was helpful, careful to explain costs/services, and provided excellent, quick service. He was finished in under 45 minutes and even fixed a second noisy toilet! Armstrong Plumbing will be my first call next time, even if we have to pay out of pocket--that kind of peace of mind is worth every penny!

Our neighbor hired these guys to work on their sewer line which ran through an easement in our backyard. They wanted to go beyond the easement to better access the pipe which included potentially ripping out a very mature Japanese maple. We said they needed to work within the easement, which they easily did by digging on the other side of the fence. We also asked that they block off the hole as we have a toddler and two dogs that could easily fall into it. I was assured by the plumber of many things that did not happen. We were not notified that they would start the work despite the plumber having my cell phone number. Nor did they block off the hole, so I was surprised when I let my dogs outside to see a 5 foot plus hole in my backyard. I was also promised that I would receive a credit at a local nursery to replace the shrub that was removed (although if given notice I would have transplanted it). They did not follow through on anything that they said. In addition, they did not compact the hole when they were done, so after a few rains, it had sunken nearly a foot. I would not recommend them especially if you would like to keep the peace with your neighbors.

I've used this company several times now for different issues inside the house and with the external sewer lines. They are wonderful. My most recent experience was having them come over to reconnect the plumbing after I had new counters installed. They gave me a much more competitive quote than the renovation people. They are also very professional, fast and clean. Jason did the most recent job and he was great! I will definitely use them for all future plumbing needs. I especially like how they are not secretive and shady about pricing. They get back to you very quickly too.

I recently had Armstrong Plumbing out for the second time in the past 2 years. The first time started as the same issue as the second. The quarter toilet was clogged and I couldn't get it unstuck, plus the rest of the house was experiencing very slow drainage in all sinks and showers. The first time (and mind you we were dealing with pipes from 1960), they did a great job. Unfortunately for me, we also found that there was no clean out for the house (second house in this area I've gone through this). So day one - the guys went hard to work to unclog the toilet AND to identify where the outlet pipe was so I could have a clean out put in. Day two, the guys came and went to work on the clean out and the next team came to roto rooter all the pipes and make sure drainage was working. This time around it was unclog the toilet and I asked for a proactive cleanout. At ALL times everyone was prompt, courteous, knowledgeable and hard working. Oh, and the prices were more than reasonable. I would recommend them to anyone - and if I go through with a remodel it will be Armstrong I will be calling to do the work.

Today I had Armstrong out for my third time (over the course of 3 years for different plumbing issues) and each time a different staff person came and each time that person was friendly, thorough, and explained everything up front so I understood what they were going to do to help me. This was the worst experience we've ever had with a plumbing company. Jorge and his assistant came out to our house (with a random boy in a car that met them before they entered our house that drove off moments after) to fix a backed up shower/toilet that would not flush. He checked the main line and said it was clear. After finding no problems and avoiding the issue where water was coming he insisted to look at a toilet to snake. He said we needed a special seal and would not take our toilet off because he didn't have a special seal and that he's seen our type of toilet before. We've had a plumber come out when our children flushed a toy down it, remove
The toilet from the ground and successfully place it back without a problem. Jorge simply did not want to do the extra work it would take to remove the toilet to find any sort of solution. He was unsuccessful in finding any problem so then suggested he snaked our shower where he found a small clump of hair. He then offered to show me with a camera that water will be running through the main line clearly for a piece of mind. There was no water running through the main line in which he was extremely confused and had no idea why. He then suggested to look at the sink we told him we had in the garage where there was another source of water that is used. He opened up these pipes and tried to snake it and told us he couldn't go past a certain distance. Then he told us he needs to Crawl under our house to check for pipes after he insisted we most likely had no source of piping underneath our house. He did not find any pipes underneath our house... After 3 hours of not being able to provide a solution, he sat in his car for another hour to write up the service or lack there of. He came back to knock on the door with an $877 charge and if we wanted him to run a camera down from our roof it would be an additional $350 the next time he came out. He said because he had to use a camera and snake and crawl under our house that it was an expensive job. I told
Him there is still no water running through our main line and he responded with, That's not my problem, that's your problem. Absolute insanity to call for a clogged drain that prevented water to flow through the main line and to be told it's not his problem it isn't fixed, it is ours...when that's what we called about. The fact this guy did not take the toilet off and lied to us about needing a special seal over the span of four hours and not snake the actual pipe of the toilet is out of this world on top of the outrageous fee he tried to collect.

However, tonight I took a shower and what do you know, it is clogged again. Simply put, over a four hour span with the plumber in our house we paid for a snake that has done absolutely nothing. Water is still stuck somewhere in our pipes which he was unsuccessful in clearing. This is by far the worst service we have experienced in a long time with any sort of maintenance that has been needed. We called Ritz Plumbing and the gentleman mentioned he was extremely concerned the man (Jorge) was there for over three hours without providing a solution. Steer very clear of Armstrong and find yourself a reliable thorough company. Attached are pictures of the time frame for proof of how long he was actually here for with no solution whatsoever.

It is no surprise Armstrong Plumbing receives 5 stars, we had the pleasure of Peter who was the primary Journeyman Plumber and had a very competent team. We went through Home Adviser for plumbing service to have all the water pipes plumbing under my raised foundation changed from galvanized to a more efficient product. The only referrals provided were very expensive and one was poised and ready to work upon arrival only. The first company quoted an astronomical price, which would not leave any wiggle room for possible repairs, i.e., termite damage, wood wrought, etc. Needless to say not only was there service professional, Peter was such a professional and very personable man. They have a very thorough contract which was great and left nothing to question. Armstrong Plumbing completed a very difficult job in just 3 days. I have used Armstrong for smaller needs in the past, but after this experience I will certainly use them exclusively. I highly recommend Armstrong Plumbing for quality and professionalism. Of course it would be remiss if I didn't mention the office staff. They are all professional, friendly and communication with the team in the field, the county, and above all the customer is nothing short of amazing.

When our office garbage disposal decided to retire without giving any notice, it left us in a bit of distress. Our property management company recommended Armstrong Plumbing, and after reviewing their credentials, and the collection of positive customer comments, I decided to give them a try.

It was after-hours when I perused their web-page, and was happy to find there was an option to schedule an appointment online. What a time saver! Instead of calling to a message, or sending an email requesting an appointment, I was able to select the date and time right then, and mark off one more item on my to-do list.

On the day of the appointment, I received a call to confirm our appointment, and then their technician, Peter, arrived shortly after. Sadly our disposal was beyond repair, and needed to be replaced. Peter showed me the options available for replacement, and what I loved most was the variety of products to choose from, along with a few he had with him to install today! I opted for one that he had on hand, and in less than an hour it was installed, and our kitchen sink is whole again! I love that they offer that solution instead of having to order a part, wait for that part, schedule another appointment for installation, and then wait for all stars to align before we could use the sink disposal once more.

These guys know what they're doing. They dug up a big hole in my front yard to repair the sewer pipes, and put it back together as if it had never happened. Friendly, courteous staff, who went beyond what I expected. I have called a couple of local plumbers, one who cut a hole in our wall and never returned and another company who wanted to practically tear out my whole shower wall in order to detect the problem. I almost gave up hope but decided this morning to call Armstrong and got an appointment immediately! I spoke with (I think it was Brooke) who was very professional and put me at ease with informing me that it was probably an easy fix. I was worried because of past experience and the fact that I had called another company this morning who has a 5 STAR Yelp rating with hundreds of reviews before Armstrong and when they finally called back the gentleman made my situation sound like it was going to take a lot of work to resolve the issue. Anyhow, Jason and another gentleman came out made a simple repair and BAM! NO MORE PIPES SHAKING IN THE SHOWER WALL!!!!! :-D They were in and out in less than 30 minutes. My only complaint is I was charged for time over a half hour but when I called the office and brought it to their attention the matter was immediately resolved. My check was returned and a new check was made out for the correct amount. I hadn't caught it sooner as my receipt was sent to me via email. OH! I also appreciate that they wore booties upon entering my home. Something small to some but I appreciated that they respected my home.

Tried Armstrong Plumbing after a very bad experience with another Sacramento plumbing company. Their estimator (David Wilson) was friendly, professional, and a delight to work with. Found the problem with our drain pipes and worked up a fix that made sense and was $$ less than the other company had estimated. A few days later the Armstrong plumbers came to the house at the exact scheduled time and within 2 hours had replaced the drain pipes, improved the pipe configuration and dramatically improved the drainage.

I am going to call David in a few weeks to schedule work on our master bath. Finally, I have a quality plumbing company that I can trust.

We had an appointment between 2:00-5:00 for someone to come and give estimate for a repair. I had to leave work early so I could be there. Apparently, they decided it was ok just to show up before then and take a look. I was a bit irritated because I had questions to ask. I jump in the shower and Bruce shows up banging on my door. When I answer he starts yelling at me that he's tried calling me twice. I was in the shower I tell him, because he already came early. Very rude customer service and quoted a ridiculously high price. I went with H&M Plumbing, they fixed it for half the price and same day service!

We had a plumbing emergency on Sunday 6/11, and both of our bathrooms and hallways flooded. I immediately called Armstrong because they had served us well for a less serious issue a couple of years earlier. I received a call back from Cody within minutes who explained pricing up front. We opted for him to come out right away and he was at our doorstep within about 30 minutes. He was able to clear the mainline promptly and showed us the issue, which was excess toilet paper at the bridge.

Next. he recommended remediation for the water damage and briefly explained the process through an insurance claim. He put us in touch with Mike from Armstrong Remediation who started the process right away. We were given the option of having his team come out that day (again it's Sunday), or to wait until the next morning . We opted for the next morning. He sent me an email immediately of what to expect. Early the next morning, Mike and Nick came with all the equipment to mitigate the water damage. Nick was extremely considerate of our needs, making sure the equipment was not any more intrusive than it needed to be. Nick returned the next day to check the progress and another day to do some demo work.

After the remediation, we had Jorge and Cory from Armstrong here to do a thorough check and hydro jet of our system. We were involved in the process as we could view via camera our system. Jorge explained everything we were seeing.
Today we finally had our visit with our insurance adjuster. As promised, Mike and Nick were here to explain the damages and our insurance adjuster was very receptive.

Mike has been especially responsive through the whole process, answering all my questions via text or email within minutes. Mike has walked us through this whole process. He made a very unpleasant situation not as stressful as it could be. I'm so glad that we reached out to Armstrong Plumbing and Remediation and would not hesitate to contact them again if needed.

We had a clogged sewer line and called Armstrong Plumbing for help on a Monday morning. Within just one-hour after calling, Vincent arrived at our door to inspect the problem.
We have a home that's close to 100 years old and we hadn't a clue where the sewer line was located. After walking the perimeter of the house several times, Vincent located the line and worked hard to correct the problem. He was extremely professional, knowledgeable and thorough. I have used Armstrong a number of times on my own house and my rental. I also have referred them to a handful of neighbors and friends. They are always quick to respond, it's always a reasonable price, the plumbers are always super-nice and professional, and their office staff is great. No complaints. Oh, and when I refer them to someone, they send me a nice thank-you card and a coupon. When I have referred them to neighbors, the plumber always stops by my house to thank me personally. Mike S. and his remediation team at Armstrong have been life savers for us. We recently bought an older home with a lot of plumbing problems. A few weeks after we moved in we saw water dripping from the kitchen ceiling and suspected it was coming from the shower upstairs. Mike and Will determined that the shower pan was leaking and the shower needed to be replaced. Mike oversaw the entire project, from the demo, to the tile installation to the final plumbing work. He even helped us pick out new tile and a new shower door. Will and Roy did a great job with the demo; they worked quickly and efficiently while keeping the area clean. They were friendly and very professional. We love these guys and we will be using them for future projects!

Outstanding, professional service. I had completely lost water pressure from a leak under my house. Mark came out and quickly isolated the problem and was able to cap off a section of pipe to give us water in the laundry room, kitchen, and one toilet. After moving to the area and discovering a faulty pipe/water damage, we did some research and chose Armstrong based on positive reviews. We ended up replacing a tub with a standing shower, flooring, basically a full bathroom reno. From the get-go, everyone we interacted with was not only accommodating to our many questions and wonky schedules, but we feel they went above and beyond to help us design a bathroom we truly love! I called Armstrong on Tuesday morning to have an Angle Stop repaired/replaced because of a leak. I couldn't have them come at any of the times they had available that day but Markus arrived a little past the agreed upon time (not his fault!). He quickly assessed and corrected the problem. I asked him a few questions about some other plumbing issues I had and he looked at them and advised me of what needed to be done...never once trying to talk me into doing it that day. He told me about how long it would take to complete the jobs and how much the parts would cost. The job I had him out for took a half hour plus the part. I don't know if they are a little more expensive than other plumbing shops but I feel that I got what I paid for...excellent service, honesty and a job done quickly and efficiently. I will use Armstrong again.

Highway robbery. $508 for a 1.25 hour job to reseat a toilet and replace wall valve. My fiance had 2 loose toilets with one leaking at the base. She called Armstrong at about 12:15 last Saturday. Was told hourly rate was $182 and should take about 2 hours for both toilets so expected about $400 for both toilets. Made appt with a 3:00-5:00 window. We sat around all afternoon with no communication. At 5:00, my fiance called again and was told that the crew was finishing up a call and would be there in 45 minutes, and was assured there would be no after hours charge. When the guys finally showed up, they called their supervisor and came back with a $508 estimate to reset the one leaking toilet and replace the wall valve. By that time, my fiance had no choice because both the toilet base and wall valve were leaking on the one toilet. So she ended up getting fleeced for $508 for about 1.25 hours of work, a $10 wax ring and a $10 valve, and only had them fix the one leaking toilet. She'll find another plumber to take care of the other toilet. Will never use Armstrong Plumbing again.

Our kitchen sink backed up on Thanksgiving and the clog was too far in the pipes for us to fix ourselves. The next morning I called Armstrong Plumbing and one hour later Evan arrived and was able to snake the drain and have our sink functioning properly. He wore a mask and boot covers before coming inside which I appreciated during this time. I am very impressed by how quickly they were able to come out.

**UPDATE**
I am changing my opinion of this company based on how wonderful and truly caring the owners of it are. After leaving an unflattering review here, I got a personal phone call from Marcel asking to clarify my unfortunate experience so that she could personally attend to rectifying it. My frustrations were heard and they hopped on correcting it by sending a master plumber to actually complete every last detail of what I needed! No charge! I am so pleased with the work that was done and feel a renewed faith in Armstrong plumbing and the power of speaking up.

This is so funny to write a review for a company who after the quote, I didn't do the service.

I had Armstrong come out for a project I had envisioned for a outdoor BBQ/Kitchen.

Jacob and his partner, (Damn I wish I would have wrote down his name) were awesome from the minute they walked in the door.

I explained what I wanted to do and they could not have been more detailed in explaining the challenges, but what made them customer service professionals was the tact in delivering that what I wanted to do, may not be worth it.

As a owner of several home. They are now my first choice for plumbing needs

I requested a quote and got an immediate response and set up a morning appointment. The technician called to tell me he was on his way and showed up at the time I requested. All work was completed within a few hours. Very polite and professional.

My family just moved into a new house and the area drains that line the perimeter of our property were completely packed with dirt and leaves. The house was 20 years old and it looked like nobody ever took care of the outside drains. The water this winter had fallen hard and showed us by creeping toward our back door. The folks from Armstrong came out and cleaned the entire system out in under 2 hours. They were by far the least expensive of the three bids I solicited. I've hired them before with other houses and I'm still going to hire them again in the future. Thanks guys.

Jacob was SO helpful and pleasant to work with. He diagnosed our plumbing problems, worked out how much it would cost, and set to work. Clogged drains were cleared and the shower handle was fixed (and the bathroom was cleaned up afterward!). We were VERY pleased and happy to work with Jacob and will certainly call Armstrong Plumbing in the future.
