We had Norblom replace two toilets and a garbage disposal and were very happy with everything they did from giving us an accurate estimate and efficiently scheduling the job to doing the work right the first time and answering all of our questions along the way. Ask for Chris, he really knows what he's doing and is good at explaining anything you need explained.

Really good experience every time I call. The last plumber to come out talked me out of a temporary repair in favor of a different solution that didn't cost any more. I appreciate that kind of thing a lot.

We returned from a lengthy vacation to find that our water pipes were frozen. Tried to thaw ourselves, but it ultimately needed service. After looking here on Yelp, we called Norblom for help.

Zach came out and inspected the pipes, identified the frozen part, and helped us thaw it within 30 minutes. Efficient and effective, and only charged for the service call.

Later that day, we discovered a clog near our laundry drain. Another call to Zach, and the next day he returned to snake it out within 20 minutes. No fuss, and the cost was reasonable.

We've had rough experiences with other plumbers and HVAC specialists. Not with Norblom. Highly recommended.

We had started work on our basement bathroom and the city rescinded our permit due to duplex (I am done with Mspl) and Steve was gracious enough to pick up where we left off at a very reasonable quote.  Neal the plumber is the best!   Neal make sure we understand what he is doing and how and why.. he is also friendly and just a great guy to work with and accommodated our time and request on additional work done.  Customer service could be better as we had to call for follow up verse them calling us.

I would definitely use them again and would highly recommend them for any work.

I had a sink piping issue and called the office later in the afternoon to see when I could have somebody out to look at it.  Mike at the office was able to get me set up for the next day, but then he called me back half an hour later to say that one of his plumbers finished up early and was able to come out right away.  Mike the plumber was very professional and got right to work and took care of our issue in no time.  I would definitely recommend them for anybody needing a plumber.

I needed two washing machine faucets to be replaced in my unit of a condo building. Norblom happily provided license info and certificate of insurance required for condo association. Andrew, the plumber, was professional, arrived on time and got the job done quickly. They accepted credit card payment on the spot. Very satisfied with the service, and will use Norblom again!

I called Norblom when my 100 year old sewer pipes backed up. They were at my house in an hour and had everything back in working order in a short amount of time. Zack was very personable, professional and explained everything he was doing.  He also explained the whys and wherefore of how this happened. Quite the education.  I was very impressed with Norblom from start to finish.

Their service and speed was great. I was impressed with their communication before and during the repairs. I'd definitely recommend them and call them back for other projects I have.

These guys are wonderful, honest, pleasant to work with, and saved our condo building association money when assessing our building's hot water heater. I would highly recommend them.

Came out quickly with a positive attitude. Easily diagnosed the problem. Unable to fix it today, but I have an appointment for them to come back out soon. Very happy to have someone pleasant here within an hour when other plumbers I called were cranky and couldn't come until tomorrow.

Called them to fix a leaky kitchen faucet, was able to get an appointment next day and they did fix the problem. Very pricy though, the guy spent 35 mins and charged $137 labor and another $92 for parts. They charged 2-3 times normal price for parts.

Great experience from the first phone call. On time, courteous and professional, quick, clean, and did quality work. I will definitely work with them again.

Work performed: Remove old leaking valves and cap lines at start of kitchen demolition. Installed new sink, faucet and air gap, and hook up dishwasher.Replace broken garden hose spigot.

Mike came earlier than the appt. time, which was great. He was able to fix the leak problem without replacing the valves or using any parts. He educated me on the cause of the problem and how I could prevent it in the future. Thanks.

These guys are awesome, I've had them out twice for some plumbing work in my kitchen, both times they turned up on time, got the work done quickly and to a very high quality. Definitely my first call for any plumbing work

We live in an old house, and our basement drain backed up on Saturday morning.  I called Norblom and left a voicemail.  They called back within an hour, offering to send someone right away or arrange an appointment on Monday for less cost.  Monday was fine because the drain was working but very slowly so with careful water use we could wait.  They came right on time Monday morning and had the roots cleared promptly.  Great service!

We've had Norblom to our home several times and each time we received awesome service and nice, polite technicians, including the scheduler. They are our #1 go-to next time we have any plumbing issues.

I am so pleased with their customer service.  First they recommended a wonderful drain cleaner.  And then when it turned out we did need a plumber as well, to address some more serious issues, Jim had several phone calls with me and invited me to send in photos so we could figure out and schedule the appropriate service and length of time, to do work on our over 100 year old house and plumbing.  I love that they put in the needed time.  Also we have used them before and we had excellent service then too.  They are helpful honest and professional!

Called Norblom and Amy answered the phone and we set up an appointment for the next day. Within 5 minutes she called back, there was an opening for that afternoon. Jim came out was so friendly and professional. Went over different options. From the conversation you could tell he loves working for this company, to me that is a sign of a good company. We ended up having to order a new toilet but I knew it was going to be coming, found out they make night light for toilet seats, love this because there are no outlets for a nightlight in the bathroom. It is a small thing but I love it!

I got a ballpark estimate of how involved and expensive my job-a kitchen faucet and leaky pipe to a toilet- would be when I made the appointment. Kurt was exactly on time and very professional. Even though another issue was discovered with the toilet, he had everything he needed in his truck and got it all done in an hour!  Best of all he did not try to scare me into fixing other things I can't afford right now, but when I have some money for those lesser problems, I'll call Norblom.

Had my 15+ year old water heater replaced today by Norblom Plumbing.  When I called earlier in the week with questions about the run needed for a powered damper (my previous heater had a very shallow angle), Mike had me take pictures, fully assessed my needs and set up an appt to get the water heater replaced just 3 days later.  The installer arrived today - 40 mins early (but he called first and asked permission to come early) - and he had scheduled help to have him remove my old water heater and bring the new one in to the basement.  They laid down painters cloth to protect my carpeted stairs and completed the job in just over an hour.  My wife and I were shown how this unit works - it's damper is powered compared to my previous unit -- and all works great.  The team fully cleaned up the work area and filled out my Xcel Energy rebate form for me to send in for a $150 rebate (done!).

Overall - very happy with the service, speed, friendliness.  Would call them again without reservation.

Called about a leak in my 43 Year old water heater at about 10:00 am and discussed my replacement choices and needs also discussed potential additional work to bring the install up to code. Person on the phone was very helpful and quoted pricing for the different possibilities and gave me a two hour window between 11:00 am and 1:00 pm. Mike arrived promptly and set out to work and completed the install by 1:15 pm allowing me to get on with my day. He worked cleanly and efficiently and I would recommend Norblom highly for your plumbing needs.

These are the reviews that you never hope you have to write.  But unfortunately in home ownership, these things, in my case, an extremely leaky sink, happen.

Trying to find a plumber to come over to my house on short-notice during this stupid Polar Vortex was really difficult.  Everyone was backed up because of this damn deep freeze we've been having.  I called Norblom, explained my situation (leaky sink, I'm the owner of the house that I rent out,  needed ASAP, etc.) and they were there within hours.

They had no problem letting me pay and not be there and were sure to call me afterwards to say exactly what they did and also gave me suggestions for future maintenance.  They made it EASY and they were so nice a each step in the process.

If I ever have a plumbing need in the future (fingers, toes, legs, eyes, EVERYTHING crossed that I don't) I'll be sure to call them.

I would use them again. They were able to give me a rough quote over the phone which helped a lot and came in just slightly above the estimate, which was acceptable. They replaced the main valve that were original to the house. The guy did a great job and was friendly.

Jim was great. So friendly, and fixed my frozen pipes so fast. I thought I'd be without running water to half of my house, he had the water running in 10 minutes! I can't wait to have them out again to do more work. I'm talking to you: second bathroom :)

I had a very positive experience with Norblom Plumbing. My toilet needed a new Closet Bend (pipe that connects the toilet to the sewer stack). The pipe was over 100 years old (original cast iron) and had corroded to the point where it was leaking to the ceiling below.

First we called Minneapolis Saint Paul Plumbing Heating Air and they  wanted to charge us $1800 if everything went smoothly with the pipe fix and $2800 if there were any issues. He said the job should take 4-8 hours, Even though we were without a toilet, we opted to get a second opinion.
So we called Norblom. They bill on time and materials in 15 minute increments so you don't end up paying an extra hour when the job took 2 hours and 10 minutes. Norblom got our job done in 4 hours and charged us under $500 for both the pipe and a sink snake. We did have to wait a day and a half for the right guy for our job to be available but it was well worth the fantastic service and value we received.

I am new to this area.
I needed plumber for emergency replacement of a washer catch pan that was broken by company that delivered my new  washer.
I checked online reviews and saw consistently high praise for this family owned business .
I called Norbloom  late afternoon and they sent a plumber (Andrew ) out the NEXT DAY ! Even though this was a big job involving cutting out part of laundry floor and locating non-standard parts , he got the job done in two hours with the help of a colleague who collected parts and delivered them to the house as Andrew  continued to do the prep work .
These guys clearly coordinated and worked well together for efficient /timely repair.
Also overheard conversations with the central scheduling and  learned that this company is very concerned with getting to next job on time , but holds doing the job right as  highest  priority.
And ps he even cleaned up entire area before he left !

We're very happy with our experience. We had some work needed for our house in order to get it ready for sale. The folks at Norblom Plumbing we quick to respond and provided excellent customer service through the whole process. The work was completed without any issues and they delivered what they promised. I've used them three times now to bring various bits of our fifties-era plumbing up to this century - a faucet, an outdoor spigot and toilet hardware (including a shutoff valve that had worn out).

In each experience, the plumbers have been prompt, friendly, and have clearly explained the work performed. The price has always been right and the end result a definite improvement. Scheduling is easy as well. I called on a Friday and was able to get a two-hour window the following Tuesday. Text and email communication was very efficient and helpful. Plus, they stored my contact information, which makes that mildly embarrassing* first call go that much more smoothly.

*Let's face it, a lot of times when you call a plumber, it's for a fix you started yourself, but then realized you'd have to pull the chute on it.

Did a great job of installing my tankless water heater for a reasonable price. Quick response, done in one day including removing the old unit and installing the tankless in a slightly different location.

I had an emergency - leaking toilet - and the first two plumbers I tried - first one never returned my call, second was booked out 3 days, so I checked yelp and picked Norblom. And this is why I love Yelp! I found a great plumbing company with minimal effort.
I added in a bunch of work I have needed doing for ages, but could live with ( dripping taps etc. ) ( Here's a tip - at $3 a minute, know what you need to say, and talk fast! I would guess I spent $45 talking to the guy! )
Anyway, Andrew turned up early ( after getting a phone call to make sure it was OK ) clearly explained the work based on my request. Did a bang-up job and left me a happy customer. I will definitely be using Norblum's for my future plumbing needs.

The guy did a good job, and was really friendly with my kids.

our neighborhood favorite  this is a SCAM business! I had no pressure water coming from the kitchen sank, guy comes in takes a look from the bottom sink and right away told me it cannot be fixed today, told me the problems are the pipes he thinks but doesn't know exactly until he breaks down my walls downstairs ceiling that connect to the pipe to see what's wrong with the pressure and pipes, estimate couple thousands dollars. I asked if there someway to do a short cut and he said at least $1700 to reconnect to a different pipe! 30mins conversation charged me $100 for not getting anything done! A week goes by my dad decides to fix it himself ( he 74 years old really didn't want him to fix it) took him 2 hours it replace the bottom pipes and valve, water comes back up in the kitchen! I just saved couple thousands dollars from a unnecessary work, the Material cost him less than $100 dollars! Be very careful, if you seem like you don't know what you doing, they well trick you and charge you 4x times than what it really cost!

I called and requested a quote for a new water heater as my old one was done working. I spoke with Mike and after sending him a few pictures of my existing water heater set-up an appointment was scheduled for the next day. Everything went well, it took an hour and a half overall to remove the old heater and install the new one.  Paul the plumber was efficient and answered my questions as he worked. The price I was charged was the same as I was quoted (cost plus permit).

It was time for us to order a new dryer...the one that came with our house was over 30 years old and could be heard all over the house. Since we had to buy a gas dryer, the hook up was going to be more extensive. We were put off by the price Home Depot was quoting...over $300 with parts being extra, etc. We figured we could find this service for cheaper and liked the idea of supporting a local company, so my husband decided to do some plumber research and found Norblom.

They were very helpful over the phone and they were here on a Monday morning after calling for the service on a Saturday. The plumber who came was quick and helpful and explained everything thoroughly. To top it off? It was just a little over $200! We will definitely use them again for our plumbing needs (though hopefully not anytime soon...)

I checked Yelp before looking for a plumbing business to help us with an issue another company had called to our attention.  Norblom had lots of ardent fans and very few less-than-positive reviews, so I called them.

When I described the problem, the nice lady on the phone said we needed to talk to a project manager. Yikes!  Sounded serious. Steve and I connected after a few tries, and he was always responsive. I called on a Friday, and he got here Monday first thing. He spent quite a bit of time with me, looking at the exterior of the house, up and down three  flights of stairs several times.  He basically said that they would be happy to do the work we might need, but it would be very expensive and not really necessary.  I wasn't charged a penny for his valuable time (25+ years of experience).

I was so impressed with his expertise, practical approach, honesty and generosity, Norblom will be the first place I call for work, and I've already shared my story with the entire neighborhood.  When will all the on-a-quota, over-selling companies realize that word gets around that they care more for themselves than the customer?  I bet Norblom gets more calls than anyone, and more repeat business and referrals,  because their friendly, honest, practical approach appeals to hard-working, honest people of the Twin Cities. Steve, welcome to St. Paul! Because of you, your company will grow!  They are fortunate to have you.

Norblom was great. We had a leaky valve that was rusted out (or something) and we (my husband) couldn't fix. Norblom had great reviews so we went with them. They are really expensive, but the guy who worked on our house was literally running up and down the stairs and to and from his van. This meant A LOT to me since we paid by the half hour. We will for sure use them again (but hopefully not anytime soon).

Really positive experience. Contacted Norblom  based on Yelp reviews. I needed water heater installation in a crunch and it was done the same day. Dept store seller was unable to contract install as planned and Norblom picked up the heater and Curt installed it in the estimated time at a competitive cost on the same day.

I had them out to replace a sink and the plumber did a fantastic job. He worked very efficiently and did the job well under what another place had quoted me. I am very happy with the finished product.

In September 2014 I installed a new toilet in my condominium.  While purchasing a new toilet at Menards ($200 on sale) the sales person there was telling me how easy it is to install a new toilet and he was sure I could do it myself.

However - since I live in a building that is almost 50 years old and this was what I believed to be the original toilet I was a little hesitant to tackle this DIY project.  If I lived in a home that was only 10-15 years old it would probably be a different story.

I brought the toilet home and phoned Norblom a few days later to have a plumber install it.  I was able to get an appointment the very next day which was great.  I've used Norblom on three other occassions for a sink and dishwasher install.

The plumber arrived shortly after the time window they provided and immediately went to work - since they work on a time and material basis there was no small talk and wasted time on his part which I appreciated.   Total time for install was about 90 minutes and the cost was $290 which was for time, materials and removal of old toilet.  As I suspected - given the age of the building it took a little bit longer to clean/prep the flange area.  In addition, either the floor or toilet bottom was not flat so it rocked a small amount so he needed to install some shims to level it which added some time.

Overall - I am once again pleased with the service of Norblom and having the job done professionally and correctly the first time.

I called Norblom around noon and the guy (Kris) was there within an hour!  I had water leaking out of the wall of my house.  Kris was polite, efficient and a nice guy.  He found the problem (which was a pipe leaking IN THE WALL) right away and had it fixed in no time.  I think plumbers all charge the same amount, so this wasn't a deal, but the service was excellent, the plumber knowledgable and decent (ie, I didn't feel like my personal safety was in jeopardy, being home alone with him).  I'd for sure call Norblom again.

I had a shower drain clog that I didn't have the time to deal with myself, they came out in a timely manner, fixed it and were gone in a jiffy.  Exactly what I hoped for.

These guys are the best. Jim came to our house he wasn't here for more than half an hour. One of the nicest guys I've ever had come fix something for me. Extremely genuine and all around great. I will tell many people about this wonderful service

I couldn't be happier with the service we received from Norblom. They were fast, nice, responsive, reasonably priced, and professional.  Moreover, they were able to send someone to our condo within a few days.  We had our awful Ikea faucet replaced.  They charged time + material; the first hour is more expensive, I wanna say something like ~$200.  The next hour is a teeny bit cheaper, and they charge by the 15 minutes.  No silly charges for coming here and no silly diagnostic/pricing fees.

They even recommended good hardware/fixtures - basically told me to stick to Delta, Moen, and Kohler.

*** Update *** Norblom (Kurt to be specific) has been by our place multiple times.   He has changed multiple fixtures for us (shower, bathroom sink, kitchen, etc), and he has also replaced a water line to the fridge ice maker.  Each experience has been great.  I can't say enough about how awesome this company is.

We had a leaking bathroom tub faucet.  During the course of working on this we discovered the main water shut-off valve also needed to be replaced in order to complete the work.  This necessitated the city coming out to shut off the water, and while we waited for that the plumber went on another call.  When he had the parts and the city had come by, the plumber completed the job quickly - he was very pleasant and efficient.  The problem was the outrageous amount we were charged for this work - $1,420.  We felt we had no choice but to have the work done because we were having trouble finding other plumbers to do the work.  I had to ask the company for a receipt, and wanted to know the parts and labor totals.  They did not provide that and I have already let the company know I would wait to write this review if they wanted to provide a breakdown.  I received no reply.   We feel that this was an outrageous charge and for no more that two hours of labor and parts that seem to be inexpensive when looking on the internet.

Norblom Plumbing charges Labor and Materials.

Their Labor rates are average. I was quoted over the phone 1-2 hours of labor. It ended up taking my plumber 3H 15 minutes. They charge $47 every 15 minutes. So I was not very happy about that, it seemed very much like a bait and switch.

What really upset me was the amount they charge for materials.

I was charged $303 for $70 worth of materials.
$82 for 12'-0 of 3/8 copper tubing..... that's an insane markup that should cost $12-$20 not $81!

It was like that for every single item they billed for materials. Look somewhere else for fair plumbing work.

Jim was AWESOME!!  Although my repair ranked in the top 10 of his worst jobs, he did it with excellence, joy, and determination.  I will call Norblom again in a heartbeat!

Extremely quick to respond.  Had service the next day. Alex did a great job- identified a problem not seen.  Did a quick fix and improved the quality of materials than was previous used.  Highly recommend.

Called and even though didn't hire for job they were very helpful guiding me in right direction.

We have had Norblom out a few times and it depends on who comes out. If you find a good plumber maybe you can request them specifically? The office person/scheduler is always really polite.

They answered the phone promptly and were available at my earliest convenience--already better than other plumbers I've tried!

Jim came out to my house to fix the problem. He was friendly and professional, and provided great value--he pointed out another issue I hadn't noticed and was able to fix it (and not in a drumming-up-business sort of way). He was honest and his price was fair. I would not hesitate to call him again--although I hope I don't have to!

The work done was fine - however, the permits that needed to be pulled were supposed to be pulled over a month ago (this is important because we need for a city fire code inspection). We we had to follow up multiple times with the office person to receive confirmation the correct permits had been pulled (which they had NOT been - she promised to look into right away, but she had to call me back a couple hours later because she lost the address for our property... so I guess we have different definitions of right away). I don't mind paying for work that's done well, but if I have to take time out of my work day to take multiple calls to ensure they're doing the work we've paid them to do, I'm not going to be too happy.

Super fast, very friendly, reasonably priced. We had a clogged sink that was beyond my ability to snake and repair myself, and contacted Norblom at about 9:30 pm when I gave up. They had staff out by noon the next day who were able to address the problem without much fuss.

Called Norblum yesterday afternoon to have them come out and look at my upstairs tub drain that wasn't working - drained as if through a pinhole. They were able to schedule me for the following day at 2 pm. They provided text and phone call reminders which were great.

Today they were great about contacting me with updates on their arrival. Arrived at 2:40 pm and he came right in and took a look. My biggest fear was a previous quote I got for $900+ to fix from a different company. However, Norblum was able to review the situation and estimate it would take him less than an hour to fix. All told it would be around $250.

He was done in 45 min and was still able to fill the tub up to make sure there weren't any leaks. And it all came in at their time estimate. I couldn't believe it! Now our tub drains normally AND it was a fraction of a previous quote.

Norblum will be my sole plumber provider from now on!

Norblom was able to send someone over at the last minute on a Friday. Zach came to our place and called me half an hour before he got there to let me know he was on his way. He was super helpful, friendly and professional.

We've had two jobs done by Norblom.  Two different plumbers.  Both were friendly, professional, fast, and the jobs were well done.  Today's job was about $250 for a job I was quoted 800 for 5 years ago by another plumber.  They are a time + materials shop, so they can give a general estimate over the phone...no extra trip charge and $800 charges for something that took an hour.   I won't go anywhere else now.

I left a previous review saying that they never showed up, which is true.  The next day, they returned my voicemail and the secretary said it was her fault - she had a personal emergency and she got distracted.  Not great for me but at least it wasn't a bad leak.  Stuff happens, and they came the next day.  The plumbing job was good, fast, professional.  

I've used Norblom plumbing on other occasions as well and they've always been good.  The one hiccup seems to be just a one-time mistake.  The people at the company are honest and do a good job.

Refused to come out and check their work after newly installed pipes continued to leak. No follow up call from manager, nothing. Never again.

P.S. Mc Quillan  Bros. Plumbing were able to fix it just fine. This manager at Norblum can say all he wants in his long reply, he wasn't there in the office when I called, and he wasn't at my house, so go to someone who backs up their work and sends someone out to check on it if there is an issue.

Wow!  I don't think I have ever experienced better customer service in decades than from Jim at Norblom Plumbing!  I requested on-line through Yelp help with a frozen pipe in my house at about 10pm and within 15 mins or less we had a super helpful reply with a link to see if we could fix it ourselves.  As it turned out we called them a couple days later and Jim provided helpful info and additional tips we could try ourselves as well as pricing if we wanted them to come out to our place.  We felt like we were listened to and supported during a stressful time.  Just those two interactions and their prior Yelp reviews, made us decide that we will definitely be going to Norblom Plumbing for any plumbing needs going forward!  Customer care still exists and pays off!  Thank you, Jim!!!

Called them to come out to replace our water heater. Exchanged several photos and emails of our current setup to confirm they'd be able to do the replacement and have the new unit ready to go. They assured us there would be no problem and they could have it done when we scheduled. I took a half day off work. They came out and after spending literally 2 minutes in our home they said they couldn't install today and that we should consider another style of water heater. Went back to their van and spent another 8 minutes writing a much more costly estimate so they could justify their $99 trip charge. 2 minutes of work for $99 - not bad at all. Called another plumber and had the work done in two hours later that week. Pathetic service from Norblom.

We've now had three wonderful experiences with Norblom. They're reasonable, friendly, articulate, show up when they say they will and they do great work.

This last time, we had both toilets fixed. One of them we didn't even know needed maintenance, so it was really nice that he checked and replaced a few inexpensive parts. It flushes much easier now as it was too stiff for our three year old to flush previously. She had to leave her tiny turds in there for one of us to find and flush, so this was truly a gift.

The toilet in the main bathroom started running again about a week after it was fixed so we called back. They warrantee their work for 30 days so they sent someone out and he figured out that the water level was too high, installed another new flapper and just did a thorough job all-around. He let me know that if this toilet acts up again, they'll have to charge, which I totally understand, but more than that, he communicated this fact to me clearly and directly. Communication is key! We tried to tip one of the guys and he walked out the door as fast as he could saying You guys use that money to buy much-deserved beer. (we have three small children, same as him, so he gets it.)

SUCH nice folks, from Amy on the phone to the plumbers in the field. You won't regret going with Norblom. Do it. Do it now.

Great service, but work hard and charge hard as well. Quotes are always under.

For the labor, they charge prep time, clean up time, work time, and wait time (waiting for water turning on, waiting for inspector....) as well. I could understand that the plumber didn't want to wet my CONCRETE BASEMENT floor, but it costs me another 10 minutes of labor to wait until the water doesn't come out from the pipe anymore.

The coordination is poor. The plumber didn't show at the first appointment.

The material is good quality but three, four times more expansive than the most expansive you can find at home centers. Just like other reviews mentioned.

Installed a water line from the basement to a refrigerator upstairs. Did a great job! Very courteous and cleaned up after doing the job. You couldn't even tell someone had been working in the house. Will use again.

Called Norblom for a problem with my toilet...it is the only toilet in my house and it wasn't working.  They sent someone over right away and got it working again.  Very quick to respond and do the work.  The tech was very friendly and so was the office.  The only thing was the tech asked if I had any coupons.  I didn't realize that, when calling for service you need to ask for the online discount.  They are coming to fix something else next week....I'm hoping that since I'm a new customer and am having them do more work, they will give me a discount.  I have already promoted them to other people I know.

Had a very good experience w this company yesterday. They came the same day, did a small project, gave us an estimate for a big project, and came in much lower than the first bid we got. They are not the cheapest in town, but licensed, bonded, union, and Jim the plumber who came was
patient and pleasant w my old parents. We will definitely use them again.

I woke up one morning to realize that my sewer is backing up in my basement!  Oh boy, not the best way to start a day.  I started calling some local places with decent ratings and when they didn't call us back after an hour or so, I started to look for more options.  There was this Get a Quote feature on Yelp that I haven't tried before.  I decided to give it a try.  I put my message with my name and contact details and I am able to send it to some or I can choose more to include to send.  These send as a message to the business and when they reply to you it is also a message.  It worked out well.

One thing i learned is a plumber isn't used to clear a clogged pipe, you need a pipe cleaning crew.  Not all plumbers can do that or have the equipment to do it.  A woman from the office called to say they could be out in an hour or 2.  The lady on the phone was polite and professional, she discussed the rates they charge and the prices that I may be looking at and I agreed to have them come out.  $149.00 to clean out the drain if it takes less than an hour.  Not bad.  They also followed-up with a message on Yelp to be clear.   I felt good, I headed to work and left my wife to work from home and answer any more calls that come to the house.

I went to work and headed back home during lunch to try to catch the guy working on our pipes. He was there and gone before I could get there. My clog was under the house which means it wasn't roots or broken pipes between me and the street.  There was some good news.  My wife said his name was john, he was very friendly and polite also.  My wife felt bad for what he had to dig through but he made her feel at ease and went to work.  He discovered that it was wet wipes that caused our issue.  We will not be flushing those anymore.  We have also started buying the flush-able ones to minimize the chance of this happening again.

Thank you for a job well done.  I highly recommend these guys.  I am keeping them as my preferred plumber of choice.

I picked Norblom based off of all the good reviews here and I have to agree with everyone!  I just moved into my house a few months ago and my mom noticed water spots on the ceiling of the basement bathroom when she was visiting.  I called yesterday and they were able to come out today.  The plumber showed up at the beginning of the two hour window, found the leak, taught me how to fix it, showed me where the whole house water shut off was, and helped me find my outdoor shut off.  I will definitely call again if I need a plumber.

I found Norblom via Angie's List when we were looking to have a new gas dryer installed in our home. I was blown away by the customer service that we received both pre-appointment and during. The woman on the phone was extremely professional in providing an estimate and an overview of the installation process. After calling a few other places, I ultimately decided to move forward with Norblom because they had great customer service and competitive rates. The best part was they had availability the next day!

Chris the technician barely beat me to my house after calling to let me know he was only a few minutes away. Although I was flustered that I was late, he was extremely understanding and friendly. He didn't even charge me for the few minutes that he waited!

The installation was a bit more complicated than anticipated (aren't they always?). We knew we needed to replace the old gas hookup as it was no longer compliant, but we also needed to run new duct work to the outside. Chris also explained that the hoses Best Buy provided for hookup are not even legal to use in the state. He provided a new gas hose as well as water hoses for our new washer. He rerouted the dryer vent up towards the ceiling rather than running it on the floor (which was annoying to clean around) and insulated the whole thing really well. He even hooked up the steam function between the washer and dryer and the drainage hose to our dump sink. It was all very thoughtful!

Although we ended up paying more than anticipated based on the complexity of the job and new materials required, we feel confident that Chris did a fantastic job and our dryer has been setup safely and correctly. Thanks, Norblom!

I've had a couple of issues that have made me want to pull my hair out (leak with an old clawfoot tub, leaking water heater) and these guys have always helped me out - even in a snow storm.  Pricing is fair and the service is great.  I'd recommend them to anyone.

I feel like I've been looking for a good plumber for years! I own a four plex, and unfortunately have had a lot of bad plumbing/contractor experiences.  

My hot water heater sprung a leak.  First thing in the morning, Mike from Norblom plumbing responded to my emails.  He was friendly and helpful, taking the time to put together a very clear and straight-forward quote.  

Within an hour of asking them to come, Jim the plumber was at my place.  He did a really nice job, was wonderfully patient with my 3 year old (who was very interested in what he was doing), and made the experience very pleasant.  

They provided clear, upfront pricing.  They worked quickly and have amazing customer service.  I'm so glad that I went with Norblom Plumbing!  For my future needs, they will be the first place that I call.

I had to call a plumber. It's not a sexy or exciting way to drop a wad of cash, but necessary nonetheless.

So I went onto Yelp to see who my fellow Yelper's have used and like - and found Norblom Plumbing Co. I set up my call for this morning between 8-9:00 am.  Jim, my new plumber friend, arrived about 8:15 and got started. Jim was friendly and courteous and kept me informed at every step.

My dog was going absolutely bat-shit crazy because I didn't let her out to see who was here - so I checked to make sure he wasn't anti-dog and let her out. She flirted with him relentlessly for a good 5 minutes (dammit Trixie, he's on the clock!). This is actually a good sign because sometimes she is so terrified of new visitors she cowers in the corner and piddles on the floor (sadly, this is true).  This is pertinent to my review because I can't have people in my house who make my dog cower in fear. Trixie likes him, he must be a good guy.

Jim gave me some good advice on some upcoming projects I will need him for, cleaned up after himself, took all my money and left. Aside from the being broke part, it was pretty painless. I will definitely call Norblom again - and will request Jim. Great guy with dog approval.

We had a shower faucet installed and a sump pump pipe drain drilled through our siding. Andrew and Phil did excellent work on both jobs! They arrived within the time frame and had both jobs completed on time. They explained the details of the products they were installing and went over warranties and gave details on how to check and observe the installs in the future. Great work, upfront pricing and priced accordingly!!!

Great service and reasonably priced. I had trouble with a laundry tub and the floor drain. Zach also checked the main drain. I will call them again.
