*Update* The manager apologized for the behavior of their tech Michael D and refunded the overcharge.

I bought a dishwasher to replace an old dishwasher from a big box store that contracted out the install to this company.  I paid Best Buy for the installation service.  As others have noted, communication from the company is poor; they provided zero warning that a permit was needed to replace a dishwasher.  I was informed by the tech of the permit fee once he arrived.  (I've lived in almost a dozen places and Minneapolis is the only place I know that requires a permit for something as routine as a dishwasher replacement.)

The tech that did our install might have done good work (I can't tell), but he's rude as hell and unapologetically so even once called out on it. Also when I went to pay a permitting fee, he snuck in an additional $85 fee for valve that we did not discuss.

Looking back at my records, I see this is the same company that installed our gas stove a few years back.  When they installed it, they didn't install it properly and I could smell gas. I had them come back, and the tech they had swore up and down there was no leak.  I hired a different plumber for unrelated work (faucet replacement), and just in case - I had them check the gas plumbing.  That plumber did the soap test and was immediately able to confirm that there was indeed a gas leak.

Run away from this company. If you are assigned this company by a big box store (they deal with several like Home Depot and Best Buy), call and ask for a different company.

Scheduling was a challenge.  I was told the installer would be arriving at a certain time and they never showed up.

The appliance required a bracket that was screwed into my hardwood flooring.  I understand the bracket is a requirement, but when the appliance was slid back in to the bracket it was installed off center (and not by a small amount, it was several inches).  The installer did not take the time to center the appliance on the wall and now more holes will have to be drilled into my flooring.  Simply taking the time to take a quick measurement (under 1 minute) and this could have been avoided.

While leaving with the box the appliance came in the one of the installers broke a light in my garden lining the pathway.  He then attempted to stick it back in to the ground as if it was fine.  I told the guy it's broken and asked him to just leave it the way it is.

The installers wheeled this same box up the path when they first brought the appliance to the house, they knocked over a cage that I had protecting a plant (but nothing was damaged).  They didn't hit any of the lights on the way in, there is no reason why one of my lights needed to get damaged on the way out.  It was a careless mistake.

Customer service for MN plumbing took no accountability for their mistakes.  The woman could care less offering no apology and simply said talk to Best Buy.

There were also hidden charges associates with the job.  The installer screwed a valve on to the pipe before connecting the appliance.  I estimate the valve cost less than $5 at Home Depot.  It took him under a minute and they charged $130.

This company does poor quality work, they have poor customer service skills, and they over charge.  Do yourself a favor and NEVER let MN Plumbing into your home to do work.  There are other companies in the twin cities that are far better options.  I hope this review saves others from having the negative experience that I have had.

Called and made an appointment for a quote.  They told me the date and time.  The Plumber never showed up.  I called and they told me there was no record of my appointment.  Make sure you call back and double check with them or you might take a day off work for nothing.

MN Plumbing installers are very friendly, however after paying them to install our brand new appliances they failed to check the water valve for leaks when they installed the refrigerator. After noticing wet spots in the ceiling of our recently finished basement 3 days later we are now dealing with thousands of dollars in water damage repair and have to replace the water valve. MN Plumbing is claiming no responsibility for any of the damage, however they did offer to replace the water valve for double what we just paid another plumber to have the job done right. Either check their work thoroughly or DO NOT USE them!

I purchased a new washer & dryer from Best Buy and had 2 guys from MN Plumbing & Appliance come out to haul away the old units and install the new units. I just showed them where the new units should go, and they took care of the rest! They called me that morning to confirm delivery time, put the doors back together that they had to remove to get the units in the house, offered to take their boots off when entering the house if needed, switched the dryer door to open on the other side for convenience (without my asking!), and were friendly to boot!

The worst customer service I have ever experienced. Cancelled on once and a no show for the reschedule. Absolutely no communication and when we addressed the issue with their office manager Michelle, she was extremely disrespectful and yelled at me over the phone. Do not book with this company if you want to be treated with respect. Worst customer service. I would advise hiring a new manager to answer your calls that doesn't yell at customers, cut them off and call them liars.

I called and scheduled an appointment for my washer and dryer to be installed at our new house. On the phone I was told I would receive a call the day prior with a time window for installation and then a call the day of the appointment with a 30 minute window when they were on the way. The day before the appointment, I never received a call. I called them the morning of the appointment to get a window of time, as I was going to have to leave work for the appointment. I was told someone would be at my home for the installation between 12-4. I made sure I was home by noon and waited for the 30-minute call. No one ever called and no one ever showed up for our scheduled appointment. I called the office at 4:40 to see what the status was and my call went straight to voicemail because they closed at 4. I requested a call back and received one the next business day. They were only slightly apologetic (Sorry, I don't know what happened) and the best they could offer was an appointment a whole week later. Very disappointed in their offer to go yet another week without a working washer and dryer, so I took my business to a more reliable company. My time is valuable and I will support businesses who actually show up for scheduled appointments, or at the very least, have the courtesy to call if circumstances change.

DON'T USE THIS COMPANY!!! They take zero responsibility for their shotty work. They came out to install a water line at our condo. They ran the line next to the window and the line exploded in the winter because they did not insulate it. We called to ask them to repair it. They are rude and said that they were not responsible. Don't use these people they don't stand by their work and will screw you when their is in issue with their installation. Bad people!

First time they came out they said I needed my electrical box moved in order to install my wall oven.  I hired an electrician to move the electrical box.
The second time they came out they said the oven fit BUT my outlet had three wires (white, black and green) but my oven had four wires (white, black, green, and red).  I had to hire an electrician again (another $327 spent)!  I wish they had told me about all the electrical work I needed the first time.  No attempt to reimburse me for the second expense or to expedite the installation.

Rude office manager. Referred to this company via Home Depot for a faucet install and valve replacement. Ended up with a leaking dishwasher connection at the valve, after they fixed that, the dishwasher flood sensor triggered and now I have a leaking dishwasher. I called, had to leave a message, waited three days then called them. The office manager absolutely refused to help me - literally told me to call an appliance company and referred me to Best Buy (I'm like, wha? why on earth would I call Best Buy?!). So, my only takeaway from this experience is they are NOT a plumbing and appliance company (as advertised) and they don't care about treating customers decently. That said, I'd like to also  say every interaction I've had with people from here was fine except for the office manager. Her tone and defensive demeanor were totally uncalled for and left me in a crisis with zero help! It's been over two weeks dealing with this company for what started out as a basic kitchen faucet/valve replacement and is turning into a nightmare where I'm out hundreds of dollars, work time, and a brand new dishwasher I can't use. their customer service/receptionist sucks; i bought a washer/dryer from best buy and apparently these guys deliver and install, well so far they called and left a message: we are calling to confirm your delivery on Monday. So I call them back to find out what time, at first the lady says she doesn't see our appointment, so she asks where we bought it, etc. She finally finds our appointment and says 9am-1pm. I'm like what? we don't even get an option? She goes they will be there around 9am, thats why we called to confirm with you.

however, the guys that came to install the washer and dryer were pretty cool; very polite and helpful

I'm very disappointed with this company.
They did a job in the neighborhood area of my small business.  First of all, the technician parked his truck and trailer in our parking lot, which is clearly labeled customer parking only, taking up almost the entire lot for our customers.  When he left, he decided to use our parking lot as his dumpster. I've left multiple messages for them to pick this box up and have had zero response.
This is so disrespectful and unprofessional, not to mention an added expense to my business to take care of your trash.
Make this right.

Worse service ever. Their charges are extremely high. We paid for the installation to Best Buy, but they charged us $387 additional. The gas from the newly attached gas line to the range leaked. Had to call Center Point in emergency. Was without heat for whole night.
Terrible. They never responded to our call.  Horrible experience.

MN Plumbing & Appliance Installation was contracted by Lowe's to install our dishwasher.  After receiving a terrible time window, I was forced to stay home from work the entire day only for the company to never show up.  I contacted them several times throughout the day and was assured each time that they were on their way.  The final time I called I found they were closed (at 4pm) and I was left with no one to contact to determine if they would eventually show up which of course they didn't.

Really wish I was writing a review on workmanship! Made two appointments to get a quote for small remodel project. Both appointments resulted in no show, no call. Called company after second no show and the same woman who booked the appointments passed me off to the office manager who responded with your not on our schedule and showed no concern over any miscommunication. Would not and cannot recommend this company.

I set up an appointment for Oct 2nd by calling in on Sept 26th.  Was told I would receive a call to firm up the time window the day before or the day of the appointment.  Nobody called or came so I called the office.  They said sorry, it's for Oct 3rd and gave me a window of 12-4pm.  Oct 3rd comes by and nobody has called or showed up by 4pm.  I called the office and left a voicemail at 4pm.  I called again 20 min later and it went to voicemail.  I'm not sure what the disconnect is.

I would avoid this company like the plague. They were chosen by a big box retailer to install a dishwasher that I had purchased.  Almost immediately after arrival I was informed by MN Plumbing that I would need to pay them $150 additional to replace a $10 shut off valve.  If I was unwilling to pay them this amount they advised that they would not install the dishwasher and I would be left to fend for myself.  I would have had no problem paying for the additional part that was needed, but the vast difference in the part cost and the amount charged is nothing short of extortion.

I called on a Friday for repair of a leaky pipe. They scheduled me for the following week.  Nobody called or showed.  When I called I gathered that they are primarily an installation company (and take work for Best Buy).  All that is fine, but I would have appreciated them telling me that in the first place so I could have found the repair company I needed without waiting for a week.

They installed a gas line for a new gas range. They left a pressure valve on for inspection which passed and that is good. But the plumber said the people who deliver the stove will take it off and connect it to the main gas line. Warner Stellian said they are prohibited from attaching it. MN plumbing would not come out to finish the 10 minutes of work and left us stranded with a useless gas range over Easter. It is their valve they need to take off. Good luck with these people.

This review is for MN plumbing and Home Services (White trucks say MN Plumbing and Appliance). If rating only the guys on being nice we'd give a couple more stars... BUT, we paid for installation and pickup up of our old washer and gas dryer in the Mpls/Richfield area today 7/20/19, waited a long time for the installation and delivery date to arrive and really felt they were trying to avoid doing any work under the guise of permit issues in the city. I think Jake might have been one of their names. I would think for something as easy as a dryer install they'd be prepared for any little issues that come up (everything already installed but the vent went in the basement rafters a bit before venting outside through the existing vent)... again, friendly but geesh they couldn't even take away our old appliances which was part of the paid job, explaining it was something to do with the permit issue yet we were told to call BestBuy when everything was disconnected and they'd come back to pick them up (what? We also already disconnected the water lines)... so we already paid for the appliances so they could only drop them in the garage since they weren't doing the job. No explanation of when their seniors could look at the job to get it done right, just a mention of extra costs for this that and the other, and we were stuck being told to call Best Buy to reschedule! Like ok, call and try explaining to the cashier Your contractor you hired said they'd need their manager to review the vent and therefore we need to reschedule the installation AND the pickup of the old appliances all over again, please make sure the senior comes out!... wth? I understand permit issues but man this seemed ridiculous and like a total avoidance of helping with ANYTHING. I won't be using this company again and this reflects poorly in Best Buy too. This company also advertises 24 hour 7 days a week but I called the 952 # three times today and got no answer... the new appliances weighed a ton and we managed to barely get them downstairs to see if we could do it ourselves. Now need a pickup of the old ones. Really disappointed with this experience to say the least.

I would give zero stars if I could.
Not only do they over charge I found out from the company who I bought my hot water heater from that they were double dipping and getting paid from the company and from me.   Luckily the company intercepted the service calls and called me directly and installed the new parts for free.

They were going to charge me over 500.00 to do this and 200.00 or more just to put in a plate with 4 screws.   The work was done in 30  minutes and cost me nothing.  If I would have let Bonfe do the work they would have charged me over 500.00.  No kidding.   The company that put in the parts to the water heater is hired by the company that builds and sells the hot water heater.  If we need anything we are going to that company.  Read this and be very careful.  They are not a good company.   When we needed our shower fixed a small valve to be put in cost us over 300.00.
Way way way over priced.   If the service man did not call me I could have thrown away over 500.00.

I would give 0 stars if that was an option.  They came out to install a sink for Home Depot and were here for 20 minutes.  Cut the sink out, damaged the new sink, cut our pipes and left saying they could not install the sink.  We had someone else do it and they had to redo the pipes.  Then our insurance claim was denied because they said we should have called them to come look at it before it was fixed.

TERRIBLE. Do not trust this business. They go by Minnesota Plumbing and Home Services AND Minnesota Plumbing and Appliance.

TL;DR: due to their own errors they let my range sit in my living room almost a month before showing up to install. When they did come to install they insisted without more than a glance at my gas connection that it wasn't code. Almost $400 later (was supposed to be free) another HVAC AND city code consult said I was screwed by this company.

I'm so incredibly frustrated with my experience with this company. Please find someone else and save yourself the time, frustration, expense, and that dirty feeling of someone taking advantage of you.

I bought a gas range through Costco. I carefully reviewed the materials to make sure my gas hookup and the location of my building met the requirements for delivery and installation.

The company that delivered was great. Then comes time to work with Minnesota Plumbing and Home Services. They were 8 days behind delivery, fine. On installation day they were late. They asked me to wait outside while they parked. 30min later I called to ask where they were and they informed me they decided to drive away with no attempt to call.

I called dispatch again and again. Five times total - this woman never answered the phone, often sending it straight to voicemail. Costco customer service had to demand they reschedule with me.

They finally called to reschedule and the only time available was two weeks away. I explained calmly that their crew left without telling me last time and that the range was now sitting in my living room for almost a month. The person on the line was incredibly rude, and expressed no regret at my past experience, and said I can take or leave the date they have.

On installation day they glanced quickly at the gas hookup and insisted it wasn't up to code. If I wanted my range installed I had to comply. $367 for them to install a new valve, drip line, drill into my cabinet, and for the permit (I knew I'd have to pay for the permit). The charge to drill hole in cabinet was an insulting $25, and it honestly looks like a two year old took a hacksaw to the thing.

I consulted an HVAC specialist with the home inspector I used as well as a city person about the code (I have before and after pictures). They both said I WAS up to code. The only reason to replace the valve I had was if the valve was bad, which they wouldn't know by just looking at it.

I don't know if I would even call what they did work. We were assigned MN Plumbing through Best Buy to install a new dishwasher. After arriving 1.5 hours outside the installation window the main guy, no idea his name, came in our home and immediately took a poop in our bathroom. His coworker, Immanuel was amazingly nice and was the only pleasant part of the whole experience.

After spending, no lie, 5 minutes in our house he claimed he needed us to:
1. Purchase an adapter
2. Purchase an additional length of hose.
3. Hire one of their on-staff carpenters to come and cut our floor out because the dishwasher wouldn't fit.

He then said there was nothing he could do today and left. I did try and ask him for a card but he said No, just call Best Buy.

I had them leave the dishwasher with me and called a friend to install it which took all of 20 minutes. No adapter, hose, or carpentry needed.

I would not recommend them at all - tried to sell us on stuff we didn't need or want. What a waste of time.

Terrible! Terrible! Terrible!

The communication from this company is the worst I have ever seen. Ever.  They never call you back, and when you do get in touch with them they are very condescending.

These folks are the ones that appear to install appliances for all the major retailers (Home depot, Best Buy, Lowes, etc).  I think they have contracts in place so they simply don't care what you have to say.

It took me 4 days of calling to finally get an email from someone, then they went dark for a couple more days and then finally told me they could install my appliance.

The guys that showed up were fast and did an ok job, but it was a gas appliance and they didn't do a bubble test on the gas line--so I did it.

Don't call these people for plumbing or home services work--you will be very disappointed.

I would give this company a NEGATIVE 5 stars if I could! Definitely NOT professionals!

I bought a dishwasher and microwave from Best Buy to be delivered/installed on Friday 9/30. No one showed up (install guy stated he was here but I work from home 100% and have never had any issues with deliveries. I also have a dog that barks at everything and I was making coffee at the time the driver stated he was here).

It unfortunately took Best Buy a full week of making calls and waiting on the installer to return the items to the warehouse so a second appointment could be scheduled. Finally a time was booked for today (12-4 window).

The installer calls today around 3:30 to say he would be here around 3:50. At 4:09 the installers show up and come in and start to unscrew the dishwasher face to look at the electrical setup. They next take out the microwave. At that time the installer states there is an issue with the dishwasher. Says he needs some clamps based on the plumbing setup (something to do with setup being 1/2 and he needs to convert to 3/4...).

Having stated the install would need to be rescheduled (yet again), I indicated Best Buy had me purchase all that was needed. I indicated this information should have been provided to us in advance as I am not an installer and with no forewarning, how would I know.  I asked if he had the clamps with him in which his response was if I brought everything with me I would need a semi. I indicated if it is standard practice to set up installs only to have to reschedule, this is ridiculous.

Having already dealt with a no show and now waiting another week for this second appointment (and waiting until after 4:00 for them to arrive), I told the installer I would not be rescheduling. I told him to call Best Buy so they could get the needed clamps ready and if they started on the install of the microwave I would go pick the clamps up. He states no, we will need to reschedule. I asked why he didn't look at the plumbing first before unhooking and unscrewing everything as he would have seen that right away.

At this point I am irritated and ask that they put everything back as it was. I had already indicated to Best Buy if the install couldn't be done this week I was just going to cancel my order.

So this is where it really gets good...as I am on a call waiting for Best Buy to answer, I look over and the installer is ready to leave. I look over and my microwave is still not back on my wall. I say hold up, you need to put my microwave back. He says I can't as I broke the bolts taking it out. I can either leave your microwave or take it with me. I said then you need to put in my new one and he says no, I am out of here.  Then he leaves..takes my microwave he broke the clamps on and doesn't leave or install my new microwave. Just leaves my house with a hole in in my kitchen wall!!

Not sure what criteria you have for your reps to follow in being professional, but I doubt it indicates it is okay to leave a house with a big gap in the wall. You were here to represent Best Buy and made both your company and Best Buy look terrible.

Not only will I share my distaste about your lack of quality service and staff professionalism with every person, website and forum I can, but I will be communicating to Best Buy that I will never buy anything from them again. Seriously, the installers you had come to my house today should go on a permanent break.

You simply can't make this stuff up! Unbelievable , unprofessional and truly unfortunate!

I wouldn't do business with these folks because they are dishonest.  In 2018 they put in a kitchen faucet for us and claimed it was a Delta faucet.  In 2020 it failed and they came out and said they couldn't figure out why the cartridge failed because life time warranty so they brought a new one and claimed it also was a Delta and now a mere 15 months later it's failing again.  Tired of dealing with this and paying them money for their rotten faucet. So called a different plumber and were told it was a cheap $20 faucet of a brand he never heard of.  Finally have something beautiful and it works.

I bought a water soften from Home Depot.  MNPlumbling was there only listing they had for contactor costing $599 for labor.  The plumber was on time.  He came in and looked at the water lines and was not sure how to do the job. He the brought in the unit. He said he will take pictures and send it off to the master plumber and left a business card.   Four days later I called and spoke with Amanda.. the crew did not tell her anything. Amanda called me back after getting update about the job. She was very apologetic and the crew refused to do the job in a 2014 mobile home. The main water supply shut off,  drain pipes with an access panel are both with in 2 feet of where the unit is to go.  The Topper to all this is Home Depot gave me full credit for the labor but then changed me $100. for a trip fee

On Oct. 28, 2019 we purchased a dishwasher from Best Buy.  We elected to have them arrange for the installation and paid $159.99 for the installation along with $29.99 for an installation kit, for a total of $190.  The day of installation, three men showed up.  One looked under the sink and immediately said that our water line valve was too small and needed to be switched out.  He said that the newer dishwashers required a larger water line valve.  He also stated that it was city code.  I questioned this as our house is only 16 years old, and we had a new dishwasher installed 7 years ago without any problem.  None of our neighbors who have replaced dishwashers in houses the same age have encountered this.  I was told that I would be charged $150 for the installation of the new valve (which I found online for $8) plus an additional $100 which was for insurance.  Never heard of the customer having to pay for insurance.  So the installation of our $399 dishwasher was now going to cost $440.  I felt very violated at this point, but had already had to wait for installation due to some health issues. When they left, they gave me a receipt for the additional $250 which states the $100 was Air Hammer.  I am assuming this is a tool they used, but again have not heard of having to pay for use of a tool.  They were here for a total of 30 minutes.  Exorbitant Hourly rates!
I then did some research myself.  I spoke with some plumbers who did say that newer dishwashers used larger water lines, but that it was an easy fix with an adaptor.  (This is what our neighbors' plumbers must have used.)  It is an inexpensive part also, and easy to install.  I also called the city building department.  They said there is no such building code in place for that valve. Researching the installation of the dishwasher and this special valve did state an air hammer was a required tool.  Not only did this company outrageously charge us, but we were specifically lied to as well.  As someone else stated, this reflects poorly on Best Buy as well, and we will not be buying appliances from them in the future.

MN Plumbing and Appliance Installation has done 2 install and haul aways for me from Best Buy in the last month - a dishwasher and a gas dryer.  Both times Eric and Nate were the technicians.

Their service is extremely professional - they called they day before to give me a time window, 30 minutes before they arrived the day of the appointment, and were respectful of my space (they offered to remove their shoes, etc..).  Both Eric and Nate were very friendly as well.

For the gas dryer, the technicians had to update the gas so it was up to code, but they gave me an estimate of the cost and explained what they needed to do so that I understood.

Installation with MN Plumbing was super easy both times they came out to my house, so I would not hesitate calling them for any future plumbing needs.

Zero stars.... they installed appliances that I purchased at Best Buy and RUINED my electrical outlets during the install. After MONTHS of trying to resolve this, and them telling me they would. I still have appliances that cannot function because the electrical won't connect. They have completely ignored me and lied to me. I have no other option than take them to small claims court. I would stay as far away as possible from this company as they do not care what happens to your property. This will surely come back and bite them. They are not practicing with their license correctly and they don't care about their customers.

I called Minnesota Plumbing & Appliance to try and set up washer and dryer disconnect from my current home and hook up in my new home.  Since there is not currently a gas line for the dryer in the new home, it needs to be installed, as well.  The woman a spoke to was extremely rude.  She said that everything had to be done on the same day. When I told her that was not possible, because we are moving and it's two different locations, she was not happy.  No matter what I asked, her answer was that they needed to bid on the gas line. She said that they couldn't do anything until they bid on it, even when I said that I was going to go with the company.  She then told me that it can take up to 2 weeks.   Needless to say, I went with another company because of her attitude and inability to communicate.

Great service was provided.  Very professional and considerate of your time by advanced communication of arrival.  Brought in and installed our washer and dryer in a very short amount of time and did an excellent job.  Would highly recommend!

Showed up more than 2 hours late without a call. Rescheduled and they never showed. Do not use them if you want timely service.

This company was subcontracted by Best Buy to install my washer and dryer.  I would avoid using this company at all costs if you have any choice in the matter.  They are rude, dismissive, and have extremely poor customer service.  I have had 2 appointments for installation, each time has been a fiasco.  This time, the team left without even saying they were leaving, after asking me to make structural changes to the area where the stacked set was to be installed.  The installer insisted the height of the enclosure was too short to install the stacked set, despite me showing him the spec sheet that indicates it is not.  He stated that he does this all the time, and that the feet on the stacked dryer must stay on, despite stacking, and reading the individual height of the 2 units on the outside of the boxes, he 'knew' the spec sheet was wrong.  I said fine, I'd remove the molding around the installation space to give them more room.  They indicated they would wait.  When I finished (10 minutes later), they were not pre-installing the side vent kit on the dryer as I had expected, but rather had left without saying anything to me.  I attempted to contact the company, but calls mid-day on a weekday apparently go to a nationwide answering service who assured me I'd receive a call right back.  A total of 4-5 calls later, including to the local office whose number I finally obtained, resulted in me being hung up on once, and no one being able to contact the installers or put me in touch with Scott or the other owner.  I'm making a complaint with Best Buy.  In the meantime, I've had plenty of time to read/research this issue with installation height more while I've been on hold.  I've found multiple installation instructions and videos confirming that you do indeed remove the feet from the dryer when stacking this particular unit.  I was correct about the height after all!  Maybe the installer looked it up on his phone and left because he was too embarrassed to be having me rip apart my house after he insisted he was a professional and knew what he was doing.  Mistakes happen, and I would have been willing to forgive a bit of a cocky attitude and ego if they had actually finished the job, maybe apologized or chuckled at themselves, or had the common decency to tell me they couldn't stay, but the rudeness and neglect/disdain for customer service at this company is impressive...in a bad way.  Obviously it's not just an individual problem here, but a culture that extends to the top of the company.
