Do not use this company! If they make a mistake they will not make it right! The tech made a mistake admitted it, and then was hung out to dry by the office team! They did not take care of my needs and installed a hot water heater I did not need!
They, for all practical purposes took me for $1100!

Horrible company; all but one of their plumbers I've worked with have been awful.  Minnesota Plumbing has a contract with Best Buy.  When I bought appliances from Best Buy, I also purchased warranty and the needed installation services.  Best Buy sent Minnesota Plumbing; we had mostly problems with them.

One of the problems we had was a water line install to the freezer; a section of the pipe was up against an exterior wall (touching it).  Well, that part froze and it burst, spewing water everywhere.  Minnesota Plumbing didn't bother to insulate the pipe.  Now I completely forgot that we had a similar issue in Washington DC; our pipe froze, again the section that was up against the exterior wall. DC winters are normally mild; this was a particularly cold day.

I completely forgot about this issue until  this happened in Minneapolis.

I contacted Best Buy, who sent Minnesota Plumbing again.  They came to remove that section of pipe and they turned off the valve.  (they turned off the wrong valve though, they turned off the dishwasher valve instead of this water line.  They said they would call back to set up the actual repair of the pipe.  They left their number.  Well they never called, so I called them myself.  Now they're saying that I need to contact Best Buy again, because this isn't their fault. Interior pipes never freeze.  (their words).

Ummmm okay.  Yes they do, if it can happen in DC, it sure as hell can happen in Minneapolis.  Insulation should have been installed.

ugh beware.  If you want to order appliances from Best Buy, don't! (unless you can ensure that the work would be done by a good company - not this one!)

I bought appliances through Best Buy and originally had a great team of plumbers from a different company out to install- they were ready to slide my dishwasher in and finish the job and found out that my dishwasher was missing a piece so they couldn't complete the job.

Minnesota Plumbing was supposed to bring my new dishwasher this week - they called near the end of my 3 hour window stating they couldn't find my house. After a little conversation they stated they wouldn't even come with the dishwasher because I hadn't pulled a permit and tried telling me that I needed approximately $323 in work done before they could install the dishwasher.

When I asked why the other company was able to install without all that work they told me they're another company and recommended that I save myself the money and request that company to come back.

We ordered a oven range hood, oven range and dishwasher thru Best Buy.  This company was the one who did the delivery and the install. Jordan was the lead installer and had 2 others with him assisting.
All I can say is they were prompt, thorough, knowledgable, didn't rush us with the cleaning that needed to be done behind the appliances, and so much more.  The 3 of them worked great together and we could hear laughter amongst them while working which was great!!!  They checked and rechecked everything multiple times before they left.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

MN Plumbing and Heating is professional and courteous. Their work is high quality. I have no complaint on that front. However, this comes at a premium. My furnace was shutdown and I was nervous to get it replaced soon so I scheduled an installation for my water heather, AC and furnace all on the same day they came out to give the estimates. I would advice against making impulsive purchase on such expensive items. Their price seems high compared to what I have seen with other companies, but I guess you get what you pay for. At the end of the day, I appreciate the quality work and the great customer service. They were willing to work with me to make me feel better about the premium price that I had to shell out. Thomas was responsive and did cater to my need. He also seems like a pretty good sales guy explaining stuff, make you want to purchase everything lol.

Wow. Worked with 4 different plumbers in the last year with our 12 year old home. Minnesota Plumbing & Heating is the best.
Talk about a buttoned-up professional group!
On-time, under-budget, far beyond any expectations we had. Josh was our professional to try and solve our problem. Went after it with gusto, was super attentive, thorough, and efficient.

Systems for confirming, reminding and notifying us that our tech tech was entrusted (complete with a photo and a mini-resume) was very impressive.

They will be my first call now for any plumbing hearing or a/c work.

I had this company replace a water heater for me recently. The heater is worth $600, and it took about an hour to install. The price was $1800. Even being generous and allowing two hours of work, this adds up to $600 an hour for labor. That is a ripoff. I will not use this company again.

We bought a dishwasher and installation at Best Buy and they contracted MN Plumbing and Heating.  After paying the $150 installation fee at the store, the MN Plumbing and Heating team that did the installation demanded that we pay them an additional $150 for 2 parts that were supposedly needed.  We felt trapped and a little taken advantage of.  Very disappointed that Best Buy would hire such a firm that would treat its customers like this.

I recently contacted this company for a quote to install a kitchen faucet and garbage disposal as a surprise for my son and daughter-in-law in Chaska, MN.  I was uncomfortable that they would not share any cost information over the phone and they had a $60 fee to come out to determine the cost of the job.  I decided to give this company a try because of the positive reviews.  The plumber who came out was a very nice as was the secretary I talked to when I called the company, however, the quote to do my job (even though all I needed was labor since everything else was provided) was $700!!  I nearly had a stroke as I had just had a faucet replaced in my own home near Red Wing, MN for $45.  I called to complain and they did waive the $60 fee but this is a bad business practice.  I ended up getting this done by Home Depot for $268.

Great service with honest hardworking pros that want the job done right and reasonable!  Experience counts.  They even tell you how competitors will nickel n dime you despite claiming great deals.

The tech who came out was very nice and the front office who handled scheduling was also very professional. They got me scheduled quickly, and that is all worth a star. The problem is related to pricing.

They ask for a $60 service fee to take a look, which was a good rate compared to other quotes, and they wave it if you go with their repair. That all seemed good. They explained that their repairs are based on a flat rate pricing system, and they said most people end up happy with that because you don't get charged more if the issue ends up more complicated than initially assessed. Ok in theory.

For a minor garbage disposal jam (he confirmed a half hour of work) their rate sheet indicated a ludicrous amount (could have bought two new garbage disposals for their rate and had money left over for lunch). The price they quoted me meant that their labor alone would be billed at almost $500/hr. Whether or not that is a standard reflection of their pricing or if we were an anomaly, that is WAY too high. I asked if they negotiate rates based on the fact that our issue was a simple jam and would not require parts or much time, and they do not.

So, bottom line, I would advise looking elsewhere for more reasonable pricing unless money is no object for you. We ended up declining the repair because even if we end up paying more this time around after eating the price of this service call plus whoever else we find, we are looking for a long-term relationship for any future plumbing issues, and we just wouldn't be able to trust not getting ripped off in future work.

I received a coupon for a water heater maintenance from Minnesota Plumbing & Heating.  We have a five year old water heater, which was working 100% fine, but I kept hearing from multiple places that this maintenance was necessary.  I called to book appointment, which I make for a time my wife is home, but I am not.  A plumber from HomeWorks Plumbing calls and says he's on his way 5 hours earlier than what the person I booked with on the phone indicated they would arrive (I was given a 3pm - 5pm window, plumber contacted us to say he was on his way before 10am).  Upon arrival he proceeds to hard upsell my wife (such as a soft water system for the poisonous water in St. Paul).  She declines, and then he suddenly finds a $350 repair needed for our water heater.  This is a complete and total racket, and I am furious.  I am posting this review on both companies pages, and will never in my life do business with either again.

Scheduling was a challenge.  I was told the installer would be arriving at a certain time and they never showed up.

The appliance required a bracket that was screwed into my hardwood flooring.  I understand the bracket is a requirement, but when the appliance was slid back in to the bracket it was installed off center (and not by a small amount, it was several inches).  The installer did not take the time to center the appliance on the wall and now more holes will have to be drilled into my flooring.  Simply taking the time to take a quick measurement (under 1 minute) and this could have been avoided.

While leaving with the box the appliance came in one of the installers broke a light in my garden lining the pathway.  He then attempted to stick it back in to the ground as if it was fine.  I told the guy it's broken and asked him to just leave it be.

The installers wheeled this same box up the path when they first brought the appliance to the house, they knocked over a cage that I had protecting a plant (but nothing was damaged).  They didn't hit any of the lights on the way in, there is no reason why one of my lights needed to get damaged on the way out.  It was a careless mistake.

Customer service for MN plumbing took no accountability for their mistakes.  The woman could care less offering no apology and simply said talk to Best Buy.

There were also hidden charges associates with the job.  The installer screwed a valve on to the pipe before connecting the appliance.  I estimate the valve cost less than $5 at Home Depot.  It took him under a minute and they charged $130.

This company does poor quality work, they have poor customer service skills, and they over charge.  Do yourself a favor and NEVER let MN Plumbing into your home to do work.  There are other companies in the twin cities that are far better options.  I hope this review saves others from having the negative experience that I have had.

Just accepted a bid from Minnesota Plumbing and Heating for Furnace and AC replacement. Bob Hanson was great to work with. After 6 months of taking bids from other local companies MPH had the best package at the best price (Carrier Performance Series furnace and AC).
Bring on the Minnesota summer!
Way to go MPH!

I contacted Minnesota Plumbing and Heating for a leak under our sink.  I got Homeworks invoices, texts, etc.  Not sure the relationship here as it was never clearly described.

Our plumber was fine so no problem with him.

I called on a Monday and asked when the soonest someone could come out.  I was told Monday was booked but Tuesday was open.  I scheduled it and was told what to expect.  We'd be provided with a 2 hour window of when someone would be there and they would let us know when they were on their way.  Tuesday morning, I was given a 3 hour window from 1-4pm.  My wife left work early to even be back home early incase they were able to make it slightly early.  At around 3:30pm I was told the person who was supposed to come may not make it.  I suggested later was just fine that i needed our problem fixed.  We were later notified no one was going to be coming and we could reschedule.

We rescheduled (mainly to see if they'd follow through or if we'd have problems a second time) for Friday.  Again, because I was told to expect a window of when someone would be here I was surprised when I only received a text message on Friday at 7am saying someone was on their way.

Not knowing what the problem was and having the time to research pricing, we ended up going with the recommendation.  Buyers remorse!

We were told we needed a new garbage disposal.  We were giving quotes from $599 to $1,199 (depending on the horsepower we wanted).  We chose the one most similar to the one we had for $599.  That includes the labor.  But, the invoice doesn't breakdown the labor vs. materials and is NOT transparent.  From what I found, a $100 garbage disposal and $499 for an hour and half worth of work.

Almost $333/hour seems like robbery!  I would normally be able to say convenience is worth a price but it wasn't convenient getting this scheduled.

The job is done.  I did my research too late.  I regret my purchase.

VERY OVER-PRICED!!!  The guy, Mark, was nice enough but I feel like I got ripped off. I called with concerns about a toilet that backs up and overflows near weekly. I also mentioned a slow draining shower and kitchen sink.  I had asked about cost estimates before coming out and was told no information could be given but would be a free estimate.  He had opinions, however, upon walking in the door before looking at anything. Said he didn't believe the issues would be related, he didn't recommend the use of drano, and he didn't recommend upgrading to newer toilets because the use of less water caused more scaling and bigger problems.

He said toilet had build up of scaling causing a narrowing and recommended augering to fix it. This 20 minute job cost $179!  That is insane!  Seriously...  for less than a half hour of work. No parts needed. Then he even said that he didn't think it was that bad...after the fact.

P. S. He said to clean out sink pipes for same issue would cost $259. Ridiculous.
