Hessian Plumbing

Needed to have our water heater replaced. It was dated, starting to rust on the bottom, and wasn't providing adequate hot water. Without hesitation, we called Hessian Plumbing as we have used their services before and had been very satisfied. Mike and his team are awesome! He was able to work with our schedule and quickly set up an appointment to have John come to our home to replace the water heater. John arrived within the stated time frame. He was courteous, very nice, professional, efficient, and extremely knowledgeable. He explained exactly what needed to be done; and took great care in protecting our floors and carpet while taking out the old water heater and bringing in the new one. In the end, Hessian's price was fair--exactly as quoted, no hidden costs. We highly recommend them!

My husband has replaced lots of toilet flappers, but we had a feisty flapper/toilet that wouldn't cooperate (plus a broken emergency shut-off valve). Looked on Yelp for a plumber and saw that Hessian Plumbing was recommended. I spoke with Mike -- he was friendly and had an opening that worked for us. Mike came by today and fixed the toilet in under 15 minutes. Total pro. Thanks, Mike!

Prompt, courteous,fair, quick. John did a great job working down my punch list of toilets,sinks, shower problems. What more   could you ask. My new go to plumbing company. They were willing to come the day after I called.

I'm updating my review from 1 star to 5 star. It took me a while to connect with Mike. However, Mike took care of the project once we got connected. Matt, who actually came to my home, was awesome. Matt did an awesome job at a very reasonable price. Please do not waste your time searching for plumbers. Call Hessian or send email to Mike. I'm a happy customer.

This is not about their work. I received very good review about the work from my friend. I have few projects and called couple of times. I also sent email. Didn't hear anything from them. I am looking for someone else now.

Amazing experience! From the time I called in the morning until the job was finished I was very impressed! I had a leaking pipe in my basement. I called on a Monday morning hoping I could get someone out by Tuesday. Leo took care of me on Monday afternoon and did a great job. I will definitely be using Hessian again!

Unfortunately this individual was not licensed to work in St. Paul so was unable to replace our hot water heater, however he did still offer some advice and a quote over the phone to give me a ballpark idea of what to expect, even though he knew he wouldn't actually be able to perform the work.  I was impressed that he would go that extra step.  Some plumbers I've spoken to during this process have been far less polite and helpful.

After a toilet sprung a leak over the weekend, I called around to 5 plumbers Monday morning trying to get ahold of someone to come find the issue and fix it.

The first company to come out was not Hessian. Gosh, I wish it would have been! That would have saved me $99 and a lot of worry. The plumber who shall not be named quoted me minimum $1200 to fix the toilet and two valves I requested a quote on, but came up with a laundry list of other urgent fixes. The scare tactics and price tag made me uncomfortable (10K of fixes?!).

I called Mike in tears to see if could get a second opinion. He talked me off a ledge and restored my faith in the profession. His quote for the toilet and valves was in the 400 range, ended up being $740 because they had to replace a pipe they didn't know about until the toilet was removed. So - more work for about half the price quoted.

While they were here, the plumber also peeked at a few things from the urgent repairs list from the other company and reassured me that none of it was truly urgent. We found a few items that can be put on the someday list, but nothing dangerous or urgent at all.

Hessian plumbing has fair and transparent pricing, they are NOT pricing on commission to find things that don't need to be fixed like some other large chains in the area.

Our sink was clogged and I was unable to clear the drain myself. I called Ron the Sewer Rat late in the day and the were out the next day mid day. Jere was able to complete the job in short order and was a very nice, friendly visitor to our home. He cleaned up well. I highly recommend Ron and Jere's services.

We had a repeat issue a few weeks after they had been out to auger our toilet. It was replugged, and Kyle was sent back out. He reaugered, took apart toilet, replaced seal. They gave a discount site to coming back, which was unexpected, but very much appreciated. Their costs are very reasonable. Kyle is thoughtful, timely, left everything extremely clean, and was a pleasure to work with. I'm hoping we don't have further plumbing issues, but if we do, I know we will be sure to use them again.

I have used Hessian plumbing a few years ago at my commercial site. Pipes had frozen and I needed very fast service with a remodel. Mike was referred to me from Galaxy Electric whom I have used and trusted for years. He did a great job then.  Now I had an issue af my home with a hot water heater. It had been leaking for a bit but as time had gone on I grew frightened that it may explode with hot water everywhere. I place a call to Mike early in the morning and by the afternoon the new one was installed. Wow! That is awesome service! No need shopping around I stake my reputation on this guy. Couldn't have been a better experience. I COMPLETELY TRUST and RECOMMEND this company.

I had a minor plumbing emergency last night, and called Hessian Plumbing first thing this morning. They were able to fit me in and made the needed repair! Wonderfully quick response!!

I had replaced the faucets on one of our sinks which fixed a leak but then I noticed the hot water supply line was leaking at the shutoff. I was concerned it was maybe more than I could deal with so I called Hessians. They came on time (John) and after looking at my problem, fixed it in about 15 seconds. (Nut behind shutoff handle just needed to be tightened, I had no idea...) They did not charge me for the service call. That is above and beyond, professional service! Hessians will be my number one call next time I need plumbing work. Thank you!

We have used Hessian Plumbing many times over the years at both our Eagan homes. They are prompt, courteous, respectful, knowledgable and fair. I would recommend them to anyone.

Nick R was fantastic.  He was able to quickly diagnose that we had a clogged interior sewage line, clearly explained what he needed to look at and how much each action would cost and fixed everything.  He had to pull the toilet to get access and then also found out where the designed access point was (we had no idea) without having to drill holes in any walls or do anything destructive.

He also found that our trap was installed incorrectly (cause of the clog) and was able to fix that for us while also explaining that our toilets were the type that tend to run and what we could do to minimize that.

He did that all while not damaging or dirtying the house.

Overall great experience.

I do a LOT of my own housework, will do nearly any plumbing not behind the wall, and I am very meticulous when it comes to work being done on my house. I have had Hessian Plumbing out several times to do small work behind the wall/replace a water heater/put in a home water filtration system. Matt always comes to do our service, and I could not be more impressed. First, because the company doesn't water a ton of money on advertising, prices are very fair. They are upfront about pricing - most jobs are hopefully and then a few were fixed price. They are punctual and responsive. The company is highly professional and Matt has always done outstanding work. It is good to have a plumber you can trust, and I can say you can trust Hessian Plumbing. I love it that this is NOT a big chain, and it shows because the people who work here take real pride in their work. I will never use a different plumber.

We called Mike at Hessian Plumbing to replace a sink stopper that was broke. He gave us a quote and John came out at the stated time. He replaced the drain quickly and efficiently. We are very happy with the result.
We will call them again for any other plumbing problems in the future and totally recommend them!

I called them at 7 AM on the Monday after Easter. I had never used them before but they had a lot of excellent reviews on google and they opened at 7 AM. Mike answered the phone and had Matt at my house at 8:40 AM. Both were extremely professional,
the work was done quickly and efficiently at a very reasonable price.
I could not be more pleased with the service that I received and Hessian will definitely be the only plumber we will use in the future.

I hired Hessian Plumbing to install some new faucets and a 3M water purification system.  Mike, the owner, was very friendly and helpful.  The actual plumber was on-time all three days and seemed proficient.  Everything works.  The pricing was a straightforward hourly rate + parts.

John showed up within the time window I was given, wore a mask, and did the work with zero issues. They also quoted me a price over the phone which was very reasonable and charged me that exact amount when they finished. Very happy with them and I highly recommend.
