Best Plumbing Services in Lexington, KY

We have been using Mullins plumbing for years. Today Mark came out as we had a backed up kitchen sink and a leaking shower. As always he was helpful and friendly, and took care of the problems quickly. In the past we've used them and they always fix things at a very fair price. I never feel like they try to up sale me more than what needs to be done.  I will not hesitate to call them in the future with all of our plumbing issues.

We have used them multiple times through our home warranty company. Great service, respectful employees every time.  I had a main line blockage and they came out. Jacob and Doug were awesome. They tried everything possible to save me money especially at this time of it year when money is tight and were very considerate with my questions.  They were concerned about getting my house muddy and were just all around good guys.  I would definitely use them again and again.

Mike really hooked it up. I had an issue with a bad drain from my kitchen that I couldn't snake and he located where the clog was in the crawl space under the house and gave me options on how to proceed. His recommendation was to replace the existing old cast iron pipes but said he'd be able to do just that one section so I could save some money. I'll definitely call him back as the need arises with any other issues. He's honest and good at what he does. What more can you ask for in a plumber?

They came over and properly gave me a bid for painting and playset in the backyard. There was one minor issue, which they came over in a very timely manner and Fix. I'd recommend.  Easy to deal with and reasonable prices.

Dean and crew out in a vanity, toilet, replaced a busted pipe and fixed my ac capacitor.  These guys are the definition of a handy men.  They are fairly priced and treat repeat customers with respect.  They're always willing to take a call and help when available.  Thanks guys for all your hard work.

Had one of their certified plumbers come out to check out some corrosion on our hot water heater. The guy didn't even look at it for 5 seconds and said, Yup you need a new hot water heater They also wanted to charge an additional $100 to carry it upstairs. Called a different business and they came out and said if it works, then it's still good. They replaced the corroded parts for $150.

So glad I looked elsewhere!

Update: Clogbusterz replied to this negative review, saying the water heater was over 15 years old. Absolutely false, it was 9 years old. The hot water heater was just installed prior to us moving in back in 2008. According to 2 separate plumbers and a contractor I spoke with, water heaters typically last between 12-15 years.

The issue I was having was fixed, so that is why I gave a two star rating of my overall experience, but it was not without frustrations.
I made the service call for a slow draining kitchen sink after trying numerous things myself, including a manual snake, which just did not get the job done. I wanted a power snake and thus the call to the plumbing company.
Of course, when I told this to the plumber, he spent the first hour repeating several of the techniques I had already tried and on hour two finally got to the power snake, which I intended him to start with.  
The issue was fixed after 3.25 hours, which I am grateful, but after the plumber left, I found my crawlspace door open and at least five cigarette butts in my driveway where his vehicle was parked.
Call me picky, but I expect things to be put back as they were (crawlspace door closed) , I do not appreciate litter on my driveway (cigarette butts are litter) or paying for at least five smoke breaks in 3 hours and it was frustrating to watch the plumber in vane execute similar tactics that I used, essentially wasting the first hour.  Next time I have a plumbing need, I will try another company.

They are doing work next door and parked their truck in my yard. Not out of a work need but out of pure laziness because they didn't want to walk the extra 20 feet to the road. They drove in and out of the yard, messed up the grass and when nicely asked to move because I had taken off work to do yard work and mow, they just said no.
