Was told it was going to be $400 for my service (4 hours of work at $100/hr.) they fixed my problem in 20 minutes or less. This company is a total rip off. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS. Go to your local plumber instead...

I called Roto-Rooter to come look at my dishwasher that would not drain.  They sent someone to my house within 30 minutes and he had the problem fixed within 15 minutes!  I would say the service and time frame was outstanding! The only negative would be that he went ahead and fixed the problem without giving me a quote for how much it would cost first, so I was surprised when he told me it was already fixed and what the cost would be.  It would have been nice to know that before he fixed it so that if it had been out of my price range, i could have let him know.

Very good company, they will Roto-Root you real deep like and get all of them roots N Poo knocked right out of drain pipe. They will get out the big rotating snake pipe driller and give them roots n poo hell. Probably the best poo chasers in the business oh and root too! You need your drain pipe clear of roots n poo call these guys. Reasonable too. These guys been in the business for years and years for good reason. They are pros at getting your drain pipe free flowing. Give them trees hell I say, if the root wants in Roto-Rooter wants them out. Give em a call next time you get all plugged up in a deep kind of way beyond Liquid plumber and a plunger.

Ed was extremely courteous and friendly. I appreciated that they called when they were on their way. Although the job ended up being much more complicated than originally thought, Ed was courteous and made sure to explain everything to me so that I was on the same page.

Ridiculous price for the quick consultation on a minor situation with a faucet. $200 service fee for 7 minutes of work is a bit excessive.

Well, lesson learned and never again.

Use the service a couple years ago and the receptionist was horribly rude.  There were also other issues we had with this Company.  Never again!

We had just moved to the area and purchased a home.  The very first time we used our master shower we had a leak in the basement.  (I'm not exactly sure how the home inspector missed this one!)

We had a super helpful plumber, John, come out same day and identify the issue.  John checked all the pipes (multiple shower heads) and those were all good.  Turns out the builder or previous home owner had built the shower with a bench that sloped toward the wall instead of toward the drain and did not bring the water barrier all the way up the wall!  Water was leaking down the wall from where the water barrier stopped and then down through the ceiling below.

We are very grateful for Johns help in preventing more leaking through the floors

Sewage pipe was clogged. Mike, the tech, showed where he believed the outside sewer cleanout was located, but we were unable to find it.  We eventually located it with a machine they had.  Cleaned the roots in the pipe that leads to the city sewer. Arrived an hour after I called for an appointment.

Roto*Rooter was a life saver for us. We had contacted a company with which we have a home pluming contract with, only to received no help for 7days. Then we contacted Roto-Rooter on Mon. (Aug.29). and was told someone would come out the same day. Not only did the service man come, but he was able to come hours earlier than first planned. He was great! Really neat in his work as well as his personally. He also gave us some helpful hints. Thank you Roto-Rooter you're appreciated.

Call to schedule an appointment , they the appointment between 12-2 said they would call before they head my way. Gave them my cell number, waited most of the day did not receive a call or text. Called to find out why I didn't get a call they took all my information they had a technician call my cell phone number. So if the technician called my cell number they said they called and text me all day but I never responded so then he said he couldn't come Saturday because that would charge double so they could call me Monday morning at 7:30. I just didn't think that was good business!

Mike from Roto-Rooter saved the day! He came out right away and unclogged our drain that was absolutely disgusting and clogged with hair and debris. He did a great job and went further into the wall to make sure he got it all. That's what I call great service! I highly recommend Roto-Rooter for all of your plumbing needs.

I called Roto-Rooter to unclog the drain to my washing machine. I had tried to clear it myself, but could not get the drain snake down far enough to clear the clog. It was not an emergency, but the scheduler said she could have someone at my house within 20 minutes. The technician came within 20 minutes and was very courteous and friendly. He wore shoe covers over his shoes and brought his own pad to put over the washing machine so it would not be scratched by the router he used. He was able to clear the drain and advised me to put an enzyme cleaner down the drain once a month to prevent sludge buildup. He left a bottle of it with me and gave me directions for it's use. He said that if it clogged again in 90 days they would clear the drain at no charge. Although Roto-Rooter seems expensive, the work appears to be very good. The drain is working properly now.

Don't ever hire rotor-rooter. They are misleading and dishonest. Give your money to an honest company who cares about your needs.

Beware of bait and switch. We have a new home build and I had an estimate done to complete a basement bathroom(was rough plumbed). I called to get the work scheduled and they updated my quote since 30 days had past. It was an increase of less than $100. No problem. The tech showed up to do the work and said he couldn't even remember being here and that he would need to write a new proposal. I felt like that was shady and told him thanks but no thanks. I called their office to voice my concerns and question their business practices and the tech had told her that WE CHANGED THE PLUMBING!!!!!  So he had gone from not remembering to now we were rogue diy plumbers. No. We changed nothing. I have since decided to go with another company. I would not- will not- use Roto Rooter not would I recommend that anyone else does either.

I am shocked that everyone didnt leave 5 stars out of 5 stars.  I am just assuming that new employees and protocol have been in place after the bad reviews.  I have heard and also was steered to Roto Rooter from MANY satisfied customers.  Therefore, I chose Roto Rooter and I am always very apprehensive but everything was ABOVE AND BEYOND.  5 stars are not even enough.  I didnt think hard working, full clarity communication companies like this, even existed anymore. Usually companies have at least one bad egg representing them, but from Jolene and Stephanie in the office, to awesome Jason Card and his team of Tony and Daishaun, to the diligent plumbers Jonathon and Jeremy, everything was perfect communication, professional, yet personable and very hard working team.  I cant imagine anyone complaining about this company, at least in June of 2018. Request this team and you will be amazed.

Technician came earlier than time frame specified by office. He snaked our main line from clean out til to the house removing a large section of tree roots and gave us an estimate on replacing the main line.

Ashley, IN - On the plus side, Roto-Rooter was able to send a plumber out to my home the same day that I called.  The plumber was able to unclog my toilet with a hand auger, and I paid a hefty price for it.  I had let him know that both of the toilets were having issues, and I had also let the telephone dispatcher know that as well.  My concern was that I wanted the issue fixed without a re-visit.  The plumber was friendly, but not incredibly professional.  While he was at my home, he made one remark that could be considered on the sexual harassment side.  He also was older and a bit out of shape, so he had trouble going up and down my stairs.  Roto-rooter gives you a 7-day guarantee on hand augers.  On Day 8, the second toilet clogged up, and I had to plunge it.  Clearly, the issue wasn't fixed.  I won't be calling Roto-rooter back.

I requested an appointment at 10pm and they called to set the appointment the next morning at 8am. Tyler was at my house working by 8:30am and had fixed the problem by 9:15am. Great service! Tyler did an excellent job explaining what was wrong, the solution, and cost.

This is my third time this year with the same problem. After the problem came back the first, within the warranty time frame, I still had to pay a trip charge for them to come back. This third time, the snaked the perimeter and it did not help. They said the could get it with the jet. That would cost more. I agreed. They could not get the line in and all that happen was it flooded my basement more. They said my line was compromised and would need to be dug up. They are going to get me a proposal. The technicians are very nice and easy to work with. I just don't understand having to full the full price and not only is the problem not fixed yet, but more will need to be done. I am now just praying my insurance covers some of this.

We had our drains back up this past Saturday, which has never happened to us in the home we have owned for the last three years. My husband called Roto Rooters and was able to talk to the technician on call to figure out what was going on and what we needed to do. We opted to have them come first thing Sunday morning.

Unfortunately (this is why I didn't give them  5 stars), the Saturday night tech did not put us in the list for Sunday so we called them Sunday morning when we hadn't received a call to find out we would have to wait around for hours until the tech to get to our house. He did not have the best customer service on the phone, making bus feel as if it was our fault he wasn't notified.

Once he got our house, which was about a 2.5 hour wait, the technician was so pleasant and friendly! He identified the problem and got the job taken care if in no time!  He even informed us on what preventive care we should take to in the future.

Overall, great in-person service but could improve on their phone skills. We will use them again if anything happens in the future.

I would have gave this review 4 or 5 stars if they weren't so expensive. I paid $241 to have one guy come out and tie in PEX tubing that I ran to the copper hot and cold lines in my basement. I had all the PEX tubing setup to be connected to the hot and cold lines. All the plumber had to do was cut out a section of copper pipe on the hot and cold lines, sweat in a T fitting, then crimp on my PEX tubes, which were right there ready to connect. I even had the water main shut off and the plumbing depressurized.

A few weeks ago I paid a carpet company $150 to have two guys come out and finish a carpet to tile transition for me. They did more work then the plumber did and charged half of what the plumber charged me.

I am happy with the quality of the plumber's work, his professionalism, and the professionalism of the person that took my call, but I will be shopping around for a cheaper plumber the next time I need one.

The first time I used roto rooter, it was a simple drain pipe that rotted out and needed replaced. The technician went above and beyond to try and repair a separate issue that I was having. He was able to get it fixed at only a slightly higher charge than just the drain. He then took all of the information to give me a quote on another plumbing job in my basement. He was so friendly and did such a good job that I called the company to compliment him. They assigned him to be my regular technician very time.   I ended up hiring roto rooter because they gave me the lowest quote (I got 4 quotes). My technician came out and completed a 4 hour job in 2 hours and save me a bunch of $$!! I will definitely call roto rooter again for my next plumbing issue.

Hello ... A review? ... gladly!  I live in Ft. Wayne and needed a plumber.  Well, they did the job, BUT had no respect for the home, or any concern for cleaning up after themselves.  I had them Roto-Root my root-plugged toilet and bath drainage pipe.  The gentleman arrived late ... half hour after the 2-hr window.  He did not wear any kind of shoe covers (like heating & air service personal do).  His boots were brown with mud (or worse) ... and across my beige carpet he went, to the bath.  No sheets were spread down to protect the carpet from the equipment he rolled in and out several times to drain.  The caps that cover the toilet anchoring bolts were missing after he had gone.  But left in the bathroom after he finished was dried mud and debrie.  No effort to clean up.  There was even brown spatter two feet up from the floor on the wooden bathroom doorway molding.  Nice job!

Oh, and did I mention that I had him replace the bathtub trip lever drain assembly while he was there.  $135 for the 15-minute job -- and afterwards, the tub does NOT hold water -- so I still had to take the assembly back out and adjust it properly.  Thanks for nothing.

Not again!

The service was horrible, the manager John was rude and unapproachable. They have continually let us down on services after repeatedly saying they would fix things. Finally I had to pay for another plumber. Also, they are very overpriced and when their were problems with our initial service, John communicated that he would have their product used in our lines in the fall for free because of it. Only to have him call in the fall and make sure we knew that he wasn't going to give any of his product away for free and that was not happening. Their is some real concern when you have someone like this helping run operations, extremely disappointed in their service and follow through. We not only were told to excavate our whole front yard (which didn't need done) $2-3,000, he then proceeded to make our family feel bad for questioning their services after we had another plumber come and run a snake through our entire line after he had told us that it was so clogged that there was nothing we could do but dig it up.

Our house flooded in the middle of the night.  I called in the am to have someone come and fix it.  I was told by the person on the phone that Roto-Rooter would only come out the day of if I was a priority member.  Otherwise, there was a two day wait.  What?  How are they even still in business

The plumber showed up on time and showed me exactly what the issue was.  He did not just fix it, give me the bill and leave.  I didn't like that the hourly rate noted on the bill started as soon as he pulled up in front of my house.  For all I know he was on the phone handling personal business.  But the work and worker were quality.

Service was very timely, however, I feel like $176 for snaking one drain is too expensive.  Afterwards my tech called to tell me he forgot to flush the toilet and apparently had disposed of all the junk he had snaked out of the drain into my toilet.  I then had a clogged toilet and had to plunge it to get it working again.  I also have a black fingerprint near the outlet that wasn't there before and to top it off the paper he gave to write up this survey looks like it has been wet  and then dried, gross.  I've used roto rooter many times and this was probably the last.

A AirBnB guest clogged my toilet.  I called around 8:00pm and the job was finished by 10pm, so I rate response high.  Very courteous and friendly technician.  I took about 10-20 minutes to get the clog cleared.  Did several flushes and check to make sure everything was back to normal. Thought it was kind of pricey, but I realize I would have to pay extra for an after hours visit.   #148955

I called Roto-Rooter this morning because my line was backed up into my basement.. The woman on the phone was kind and knowledgeable; she scheduled an appointment for me that day between 2 and 4. Just before 2, I got another phone call saying a tech was on his way. This woman gave me an estimate. The tech was very friendly and informative. When I didn't understand what he was talking about, he pulled up an image online to help me get it. And I did. The estimate was right on. The only thing that is keeping me from giving this 5 stars is that 5 stars is the absolute highest rating, and I rarely mark anything the highest!

Moved in to a 1920s home recently and had our basement flood after a storm. They came out within an hour of me calling them and told us the main line was clogged. Brought out another technician and they got the problem sorted out within a few hours.

Was very happy with their service. They were very knowledgable and told us what we needed to do in the future down the line. They told us about all charges before they did anything, were kind and courteous and fast!

Our external drain pipe was clogged, but when anything goes wrong with our house, my husband gets chest pain at the thought of how much the repair is going to cost. So I wasn't sure if I should call a cardiologist or Roto-Rooter... I called to schedule a plumber around 4pm and was originally told they wouldn't have anyone available until the 8-10pm slot, which would be charged an additional $75 for an emergency appointment. (I thought maybe I should have called the cardiologist..) We scheduled the emergency appointment slot and around 4:30pm I got a call that a plumber was available earlier than expected, so we would not be charged the additional emergency fee.

Plumber arrived around 5pm and the job was completed in under an hour. He was very knowledgeable, polite, professional, and also resolved my husband's chest pain. The pricing for Roto-Rooter's services leans a bit on the higher end for plumbers in the Fort Wayne area, however Roto-Rooter is the only company offering a warranty for their services; we are happy to pay a little more to have that peace of mind!
