My neighbor had service with Rolf Griffin for the past two days working on his septic. The first day I was working out in my yard when i came around my garage one of their man was walking away from my garage door. This was far away from the septic work and on my property with no reason to be peeping in my garage door. The second day again working out in my yard I locked my garage door but once. i had left the door ajar a little. When I came back it was wide open and an item of my daughters had been moved. Not sure if anything was taken then or if he was casing my garage to come back and break in later. I will call the police about this peeper in case this is a problem for other Rolf Griffin customers and their neighbors .

I would not trust them in house after this experience.  Ben is a clean cut white guy with dark brown hair with a full beard. Do not leave him in a room alone.

Great job of communicating the date and time of their arrival. Maybe alittle pricey but worth get things done right. The techs were helpful and professional.

Rolf refuses to itemize their billings, which can't be good. We are not using them anymore because of this.

Customer Satisfaction Guarantee does not mean a thing at this place.  Bought a new heating system from this place last year.  Had nothing but problems with it all winter.  Found the system is not manufactured to work in climates where the temperature gets below 40 degrees.  We live in Northern Indiana.  We'll be paying for this system a long time in purchase cost and operating expense for it not to do what was Guaranteed for it to do.  

Called for an A/C service call at 4:30 in the afternoon.  Was told they could get a tech there that night.  Cancelled plans for the night.  Tech called to say he was on the way at 6:30pm.  Over two hours later, still no tech, and dispatch had no idea when he was coming.  Now I don't know where the tech was dispatched from, but their service area is not that big for a tech to be on the way and not arrive in less than 2 hours.

UDATE: This issue was addressed directly
by one of the managers. He came to our house and not only resolved the issue, but brought with him the original guy who came to our house to help him learn from what was done wrong. We appreciate it.

We were quoted $200 for the drains in our sink to be fixed. During their visit, they broke their tool off in our pipes and stated that WE would be required to pay $1500 for them to rip out our flooring and remove the broken tool - a mistake that THEY made. Extremely laughable. This situation warrants a zero star review but I'm unfortunately limited to an unfitting single star. We will NOT be paying this company a dime more than the initially quoted $200. Good luck trying to swindle people.

I have had Rolf Griffin come out for the same problems/ symptoms 4 times in the last year. Had Jordan Jodway every time.
 Initially, the main sewer line got replaced due to roots, May 2022. Paid $4,300., before financing fees. Then the problem returned before the 6 months warranty was up, November 2022. So I had them out again to auger the line; which only barely worked afterwards.
 Once again I had them come out about 2 months ago, April 2023 and they told me that I needed to wait because the city was working, so there was standing water.
 The city is still working and about to start drilling under our street, but cannot continue to allow sewage to back up into our sinks. So, I had them come out once more today, July 2023. They told me that they cannot clear the line; call Roto Rooter to jet it out. THAT THAT'S WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I IGNORE THE PROBLEM.
 They charged me  $449 with my card; WHICH I DID NOT GET BACK. I also wasn't given any paperwork for their visit today, so other than email and text I have no record of them coming out.
 To make matters worse, I had previously signed up for their membership plan which I was told would make it so that I would not have to pay the $99 inspection fee and their work/services would be guaranteed. As well as, 15% off service. Well, the plumber who came out said, ..has nothing in his notes about my membership. So I still have to pay anyways, and they cannot guarantee any work.
  It took several calls to get through to their answering service. I told her about Jordan(the plumber) keeping my card and that I never heard back from the company. I called Jordan via his number from Roto Rooter (turns out he used to work for them), but he says he doesn't have my card.
So then I had to go call and cancel my card, which then meant I was unable to pay Roto Rooter $644.  for coming out to clear line that Jordan couldn't.
 I am extremely pissed off with the service, or lack there of from Rolf Griffin. This all should've been resolved long ago. Instead, I feel like I have been taken advantage of.

I will not under any circumstances use Rolf Griffin ever again.

Think twice before using this company, especially if they send Jordan.

Great service.  Have used for over 5 years now and have never been disappointed.  Technicians are always courteous and on time as well as knowledgable.  Prices seem to be on par as well.  Highly recommend this company.

I had a service plan with Rolf. They came said everything was good. 3 hours later my heat didn't work. They came out and said my propane was to low. So I had a emergency call out. Unit still didn't work after I had to pay extra to have the propane delivered in the night. They said they would come back the next day with a gas valve. He came back after i had to call several times. He came back to troubleshoot said yep it's the gas valve and then left to go get it he didn't bring it. My house got to 40 degrees with young children and me having stage 4 cancer. My pipes also froze do to this and flooded my house when they thawed out finally on Christmas day. Was great to have a flood in my kitchen. Also asked to speak with a Supervisor still haven't heard from one.  Wouldn't recommend and will be canceling my plan with them.

Updated 9/20:
Kyle the manager at Rolf Griffin compensated us 50% for the inconvenience we had with the call center.
The plumbers were so incredibly kind and also hilarious.
Our sewage pipe is now sealed up and no longer leaking water.

Update 9/15:

Now it's actually fixed.
The place where they did the pipe clean out they put a new cap on. It wasn't sealed right because they came back out to seal it again. It was before the seal getting water all over our basement. So fun to clean .
Luckily the gentlemen who came out both times were professional and SO kind.
The manager at Rolf Griffin, who is incredibly nice, called me.  He is calling me on September 18th to talk about what the company can do to make it right . I'll update the stars once we get an idea of what's being given back due to this huge stressor.

Never ever use this company. Luckily we have a 30 day warranty with them so they are coming to fix the job they did. We have water going all over our basement floor.....

I called this company and told them what was wrong as I set the appointment. I wanted my furnace blower motor replaced. I was told $99 for trip charge and then they would discuss the cost to repair from there. I agreed to that. Two people showed up in two different vehicles. It quickly became clear one was a repair man, and one had only the job of selling new units at exponential costs. I told the repair guy what was wrong. He proceeded to check the furnace, and determine what I said was right. He then stated that also my fan was dirty, and my furnace was old and other parts may fail soon. He said the blower motor needed replaced. I knew that already. Then he said may fan was dirty and it needed replaced. Then he said my exhaust motor would likely go out soon and it needed replaced. He then quoted me the parts only price for the blower motor I knew needed replaced at $900. And the fan at $600. Labor not included. I googled the cost for the motor and it was clearly under $300. I asked why the part price was so high, and was told A list customers get one price, and I was not A list so that's my price. Then the other guy did his thing, and tried to sell me an all new unit for literally what would have been half the value of my entire house, paid over 10 years. But service was included was the key. And a free humidifier was a topper. I only wanted heat for my children that night. At a fair price. When I couldn't afford what they were selling, they charged me $177, trip fee and diagnostic fee. Even though I told them what was wrong from the start. In the end, I got the blower motor for $233 after tax, and cleaned the fan to like new quickly and for free. I bought wire strippers, and a quarter inch but driver to do the fairly simple task they wanted $2000 to do. And it cost me $240 total to do it. Watching only one you tube video to learn how. This company doesn't care if your on a budget and your kids are cold. They only care about selling you a new furnace and AC for $25,000. I would not recommend this company if you just need a simple fix.

Furnace (13 year old Lennox) stopped working. Did some troubleshooting and found ignitor was open (high resistance). Called Roth for service. Technition came out and confirmed ignitor was bad and might have replacement in truck but, because voltage to ignitor was 115V instead of 80V, the board was bad. He would have to locate one and call me next day with quote. He called next day and quoted $850 (plus I had already paid $99 for initial service call). I had already researched control board and it was not designed for 80V output but instead chopped voltage and turned voltage off once gas ignited. I told him I didn't think board was bad and would just replace the ignitor myself. He said he had never seen an ignitor go bad without the board being bad. I ordered ignitor on line for $26, it arrived in 2 days, l installed in 1 hour, and it's working great. I suppose it could fail down the road but I'll gamble $26 versus $850! Technition was pleasant through entire process.

The technician Ben Moore did a great job servicing my furnace and doing a system tune up. I decided to purchase a service agreement and also a whole home humidifier and air purifier.

It was the follow-up visit was very sub par. Basically the technician never showed up to install the equipment. I had made multiple calls, but no results. I wasted a day of vacation time for a very poor customer experience. I have since cancelled my service agreement and also the equipment. I will be working with another vendor for my HVAC needs.

Early Saturday morning we woke up to no heat.  I immediately called Rolf Griffin Service Experts because we have been long time customers, and also have the monthly service agreement.  When I soke with someone on Saturday, they told me they could not guarantee someone coming out because they were overbooked, I explained to them I have young children, and that also I thought that as part of the service agreement I would priority in booking my appointment.  The operator said the best he could do was put me on the overbook list, and they would be in contact when they were on their way.  Since we have children, we ended up calling another company, Brockman Electric, who came out two hours after being called.  We ended purchasing an entire new furnace and A/C unit through this company.  On Monday, I contacted Rolf Griffin to end my service agreement, (I still had not received a call for them regarding when they would be to our home.). The woman was very nice and apologized.  She also mentioned that my call had never been sent over to them for service.  I requested that a manager contact my by the close of business on Monday, so we could discuss this issue further, I am writing this on Wednesday and no one has bothered to call me back.  Oh and they also required me to pay another month of my service plan in order to end it.  I WOULD HIGHLY SUGGEST YOU LOOK ELSEWHERE FOR QUALITY SERVICE!  ALSO DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THEIR MAINTENANCE PLAN, BECAUSE WHAT IS PROMISED IS NOT DELIVERED!

Be careful....I had contact with three different employees before work was started .  They never disclosed all the charges related to my repair . My bill was $100 dollars more than I ok'd. And when I called to complain the manger hung up on me.

My furnace quit working this past week, so I called rolf griffin for service. The technician was fine, diagnosed the problem, and replaced the defective part. The charge was  $99 for the service call, and another  $510 for the part. That seemed to be high, so I looked up the part online and found the exact same part for  $85 (I'm sure they get a better price ). I feel a 600% markup is excessive, and I feel like I have been taken advantage of.

I had Rolf Griffin come out to do regular maintenance on my AC. The technicians were very nice and did a good job, they even notices that my water heater was dripping a little bit. A sales rep came out at the end and got me an estimate on and a couple different payment options for replacing the water heater. I told him that I would think about it and call them when I made a decision. He said do you want us to call you in a couple days? I replied no and then he said to me you're not going to call us. Well, now I'm definitely not going to call you. I'll take my business elsewhere if they are going to make remarks like that. Also, on top of that he looked at my water heater and told me it was installed in 98. I looked for myself, it was installed in 89.

They called yesterday to confirm appointment for A/C service on service contract.  They were supposed to be there between 2:00-4:00pm and call when they are on the way.  At 4:05pm, my tenant calls me wondering where they are.  I call RG and speak to Sara.  She apologizes that someone did not call me if there was a delay and offers to reschedule if tenant has to be to work.  I find that he is available for a couple hours yet.  I call back and talk to someone else, some guy.  He finds out that technician is delayed and takes responsibility for not calling me like that is what he supposed to say.  I am not feeling it.  I have been a long time customer of RG and spent a lot of money on HVAC and service with them.  Usually good.  Very unhappy this time.  Made me look bad to my tenant.  Would be nice to be compensated for my time and inconvenience.

What an ongoing fiasco.  putting in new flooring so we needed to have bathroom fixtures removed.  service experts took out the vanity and toilet.  after the tech left to get something, the pipes from vanity sink backed up and leaked thru ceiling into basement.  Cleaned it up and put buckets to catch drips, comment when returned was well, it was fine when I left..  When returned few days later to get new main water valve, no apparent issues until we tried to run washing mchine, which wouldn't run as guy left that valve (not sure which as there are 3 nearby) closed, so we couldn't wash clothes until they came back another day.  after floors put in and a scheduled and verified appointment to replace toilet and vanity, tech called half hour after scheduled time that he wouldn't be there for another hour and a half.  when he arrived he refused to install vanity and sink as it wasn't on his order form and would take too long since it was know after 3:00 and needed another tech.  new appt 2 days later on Thursday  and tech is sick (that happens and we understand but it should've been completed already) so now we have to wait again until Tuesday. Called to speak to manager yesterday morning and haven't received a response.

Had a guy come over to do a quote to run water lines.  Said he sent a quote, I didn't receive it.  Gave him my email, didn't receive it 2 days later.  Called to get the manager's information to get the quote, information wasn't given to me.  I just said I'll use someone else.

I called Rolf Griffin on Friday around 2pm and there were some phone issues but moved past that. Finally was able to schedule an appointment which they said they would be out by the end of the day. They did come out, all was well and I was thankful. When they showed up I was not here but I had someone at my house and he called me to tell me that it needed a control board that would cost around $600-$700 and that parts have been delayed sometimes anywhere from 5-6 weeks and considering my unit was according to them around 20 years old I'm a single mother and I absolutely cannot go that long without heat so they asked if I would be interested in a furnace replacement and they could send out a salesperson that night and considering my desperate situation I agreed so the salesman came out that evening actually at around 7pm when I would be home. The salesman proceeded to give me a few different furnace options but really pushed some advantage plan scam $220/month for 10 years but they would take care of all maintenance, parts, etc for that time. Ultimately would be a cost of $26,000 and of course they tried to sell me a new water heater as well. They never did give me a price for just a unit and install without the advantage scam pricing. I didn't make a decision that night, next day I called someone else and they came out and actually found it to be the gas valve on my 7 year old furnace not 20 years old and I didn't need a $600-$700 control board or a new furnace after all! I feel like they tried to take advantage of the desperate situation as well as me as a woman and a parent and the outrageous markup of pricing explains why y'all living in huge houses driving new cars and I'm not sure how you sleep at night. The technicians are either trained to be scammers and get a commission or they are not very thorough. This company should be ashamed of themselves!

Contracted Rolf to clean my AC ducts after we have taken up tile (very dusty) and put down hardwoods.

They were there on time.  Did the work as promised.  Very professional.  I'll use them again.

Would not recommend! They provide a warranty but service is very high priced. And the service man was not friendly to deal with! They have lost my future business and I have been using them for some time.
