As their ad says, they really do stand by their work. I really appreciated Jeff Lacy spending an entire day fixing some issues we had from their previous job at our home. Jeff was courteous and professional, arrived on time and worked til the problem was solved. All covered by Mr. PLUMBER'S warranty.

We have been a customer for a long time. No more.
We had some outside drainage work that needed to be done sometime in the next couple of months. We specifically said it could wait until the weather was warmer. We were told they could get to it within a week since they were slow. It rained that weekend so we were asked to delay it for a day or so -sure no big deal. But then another call saying another crew was found and they would be out as scheduled.

Unknown to us, it was called in as an emergency to the line-marking folks (pretty sure you get fined for calling in an emergency that isn't but I digress) and then our job was given to folks that don't actually work for Mr Plumber! And they were told it was an emergency so they stayed until 9:30 p.m. - long after they could see what they were doing, long after they took down some branches from a tree, long after they cut our internet line, long after their machinery broke down in our neighbors yard. The next morning we discovered tools left on our destroyed landscaping, an unhappy neighbor (rightfully so), and a mechanic fixing a ditch digger to get it loaded out.

After sending photos and calling, we saw two people look at our yard - neither knocked on the door - and only catching one in their truck did they agree that maybe they wanted their sub contractors tools back.

And then the requests for payment came. Three email requests, two phone calls, and a mail request noting that payment was due. I responded every time asking when the landscaping work was to be done. Finally after hiring my neighbors landscaper to fix the mess I was told that someone would be out. I asked them to cancel their crew and paid their bill. It is best if we just sever the relationship.

My advice, look for a local plumber you can trust - not a firm that doesn't tell you they really won't be doing the work and won't come to the door to try to fix the mess their hired subcontractors make.

Fantastic group !! Kyle came out to service my home and a problem I had with plumbing and gas lines. He was on time, nice, and solved my issue in less than an hour. Would highly recommend having them and ask for Kyle too. Liked them so much I signed up for the plumbing maintenance plan too.

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. We bought our house in October and soon realized we had plumbing issues. My husband called Mr. plumber. Chris came out and inspected the issues. Gave us an estimate and a sales pitch about becoming a member which my husband agreed to. To prepare for this service we had to cut our wall and floor in order for proper access. Not an issue. However, after this I notice there was damage to our bathroom: tile, wall and toilet. We also did not receive our refund for the initial meeting (which you're supposed to receive after becoming a member) this was not an issue initially. Until months later, I had to call countless times since November trying to speak to a manager. When my call was answered I the customer service associates told me they have emailed someone higher up and someone will reach out within 24 hours. After spending thousands of dollars and paying for repairs that the experts insisted I needed for my plumbing to function properly, I was left with the same plumbing issues. I have reached out multiple times and no one has responded to resolve any issues. I do NOT recommend Mr. Plumber.

Update: ONLY After leaving a review Tina with customer service responded. I reached out with the number she provided. She did refund me for the damages as much as possible and offered a new toilet (which I have not received).

Since then Chris has returned stating we now needed to pump out our lift station which would be a $500 charge and include additional fees for service once completed.

Next Clayton comes out along side a manager and does an inspection of my attic, crawl space, and sewage. Which they determine there is no power going to the soaring tank and pump. Their recommendation was to hire an electrician. I hired an electrician and gave him the invoice from Mr. Plumber. The electrician checks the pump that was noted by Mr. Plumber. The Electricians said that there is a different power source but there is power to it.

Clayton comes out again and now is stating that I need to hire an electrician again before they can preform any services. I confirm I hired an electrician and explained that they stated the pump was working properly.

I called Brandon the plumbing manager at Carmel. We had a one sided conversation where he was not helpful, understanding, and blatantly rude. I was trying to resolve how the invoice said to have the electrician check one thing but when Clayton came out the second time it was a different thing. The invoice had stated that the lift station had no power. Clayton who came out both times, now said that the pump had no power. I was just asking an explanation from Brandon the difference between a lift station, and a pump since they were both stated. He cuts me off, interrupts, and is rude throughout the conversation. He resorts to blaming the electrician and myself. Even through Mr. Plumber is inconsistent with their analysis of the issue. Brandon ends up hanging up on me. I try calling Tina hoping she would be more accommodating in this matter, to which I get no answer or reply. I called Mr. Plumber customer service which results with me on hold.

I've called Mr. Plumber multiple times trying to speak with management in which I get the (we've emailed the managers and someone will get back to you) line that I received for 4 months back in the very beginning of hiring Mr. Plumber.

Today May 30 I was advised by office staff that I've had a notice put on me to not assist me any longer. I'm at a loss with this company. Is this holding onto the core values which you state multiple times of great customer service and care!? All I'm asking for is an actual resolution for my plumbing, professionalism, and courtesy. I have spent thousands of dollars trusting this company to resolve my plumbing issues. Which had resulted in being up-charged to replace the plumbing in my entire house (this did not resolve my original plumbing issue). After paying them thousands and calling for months then they decided to do a more thorough inspection to actually diagnose my original service request. However, the technicians are inconsistent with their findings and their management is worse as they are unprofessional and had not resolved or rectified anything, instead they hang up on you and label you as do not assist I'm glad I enrolled in the membership! DO NOT PUT YOUR TRUST OR MONEY INTO THIS COMPANY. IT IS A SCAM.

I'm giving this company two stars because I was charged 95$ for someone to come out and not even investigate a possible shower leak , the guy sat on my tub and told me there was no way I had a shower leak without even trying to investigate further looked at my P-traps and said your good

Mr. Plumber is better than ARS but still didn't fix my plumbing. Took off more work as I had already took off two days for ARS to come out and throw out a huge estimate for a cleanout and not do anything, not look at anything, and not fix anything. Had another company install a cleanout (Maxwell & Sons Plumbing did it for $490 as opposed to the $2700 that ARS quoted me.) New cleanout so I was ready for my clog to be fixed. Called Mr Plumber , Kyle came out and looked in my cleanout. Said there was no water coming up so it couldn't be a clog. After freaking out a tad Kyle called dispatch and had requested someone else come out. The next morning Jeff came out to inspect. After looking in the crawlspace he told us that our pipes were shit and ALL had to be replaced. A $2800 quote. Only giving them 3 stars because atleast they attempted to help and looked further.

In the end both companies were wrong and it was just a clog. My husband rented a professional grade auger from Home Depot for $50 and with the help of his brother blasted the clog out. Two weeks later, 5 different plumbers out, two companies with bullshit quotes, we fixed it ourselves. Back up and running no sewage in my tub, all drains draining, and toilet working fine. With flu season upon us I was so nervous we would catch something and have barely working plumbing. Shoutout to Maxwell & Sons who quoted us the lowest and got the job done quick af. I wasted a week or more of not working to deal with all of this.

Mr Plumber was quick to respond for requests for fixing outdoor spigot which was leaking, showed up on time and has a nice method to text picture of the service provider a few minutes before arriving.  After a $95 diagnostic charge and the technician stopping the leak by tightening down with so much force, the leak stopped.  I was quoted $705 to replace the spigot.  WOW, they were serious.  I declined thinking the spigot was closed off permanently and we would resort to having it inoperable as the technician told me would be the case.  The spigot was leaking again the next day!  Doing a DIY YouTube search for all the potential causes and fixes , I bought a $54 8 spigot at Menards and pipe fitting glue, got lucky getting the right spigot with male fitting, and replace it myself in about 15 minutes.  If you like all the fancy advertising and nice touch for communication with customers, spend the money.  Next time I'll trust my instincts to search out the DIY before the call to the plumbers advertising on the bill boards.

After already experienced frustration of having water in my house, several plumbing companies in and out, quotes high enough to make you sick, Mr. Plumber sent out an awesome tech who was knowledgeable and quick.

They have an awesome $93 or free drain deal that comes with all sorts of benefits. Couldn't be happier.

They also identified my bigger issue and even though the price is hefty, they offer financing and will get my business mostly because of how impressed I was the first time around.

As with most home repairs, our water heater went kaput week before last, just 24 hours before temps were to drop to single digits. Our HAC maintenance contract is with Williams Comfort Air, so we called, expecting nothing for the next few days/weekend and facing heating water on the stove.

Not only did Williams/Metzler & Hallam rep Austin arrive promptly the same day I called and assessed our needs (finding our 75-yr-old water lines needed replacing as well), he scheduled a team for the very next day!

Mike, Cody & Cameron arrived at the appointed time and got to work with little help from me (couldn't remember where the outside water line came into the house!) and my husband was at work. I was fully informed about the work to be done and a walk-through was conducted both before and after. For the next 10+ hours, they worked. I'm unsure when or if they took a lunch break. Except for cutting the old galvanized pipes, I didn't hear them. And when they left (having laid down dropcloths at the outset), there was no evidence they'd been there except for new, clean PEX lines and newly installed shutoff valves. Mike proudly walked through as the other crew members cleaned up, showing their work and all that was installed.

We had no idea how low our water pressure had become let alone how inefficient our water heater was performing. We cannot recommend Williams/Metzler & Hallam enough and are grateful for their promptness, efficiency and professionalism.

This review is going onto any possible website with a review option. This past weekend we had bad storms here in Indiana. Our basement had flooded, so we decided to call Mr Plumber. We explained the situation we had and we were quoted $150. The guy was out promptly and we were very happy with.

However, he stood at the top of the landing and said there was nothing he could do. He didn't even go down and look. After 5 minutes he just left. Didn't even offer a solution to help. But still charged us $150. FOR WHAT ??? At least for that price, he could have pumped out the water. Or even ran a snake down there.

The worst is yet to come, we contacted the company directly, to politely ask why absolutely nothing was done after paying $150. We had the rudest customer service representative, who proceeded to call my wife a b****. Completely unacceptable behavior, I'm disgusted with how this matter was dealt with.

Was not informed by them that my sewer was collapsed.. even though he ran a camera but forgot to tell us. So they install all new plumbing onto a broken sewer line and 2 weeks later our upstairs is flooding because it got backed up. They then wanted to come out and charge us 16,000 to fix our sewer. Not happy at all. Luckily we found someone else to do it for 4,000.

We used Mr Plumber today to unclog our kitchen sink. Their $93 or free policy is pretty legit. The young man who showed up was polite and quick to get to work. So far we are very happy with the service and I can finally do my dishes again.

Doing a full five stars because they offer a 1year guarantee. When I was price shopping most did not offer any sort of guarantee.

I looked on the Mr Plumber website and saw that they do a $93 drain cleaning that says they will unclog any drain for $93 or it's free.  When I called, I confirmed that all we had was a drain cleaning and the lady I talked with said that it would be $94 plus any needed repairs.

The technician was a really nice guy, and they didn't end up doing the work or charging us anything, but I feel like it's incredibly dishonest writing all over their website and advertisements that it's a flat fee for clogs, and then showing up and saying that that only applies to residential buildings, and that the clog IS a repair not covered under the flat fee.  They wanted to charge us $94 to come out, $350 to unclog the drain, and $200 to unbolt and lift up the toilet.

I completely understand that they want to advertise things that get your attention, but not clearly stating the costs just feels incredibly unscrupulous and deceitful to me.  Again, I'm thankful that they didn't end up charging us charging us for coming out, but this makes me incredibly wary of them as a company.

Once again these guys took great care and solved my plumbing issue. I am a contractor of 30 years and have used plumbing companies all over the country. While I always look for a deal, sometimes the value is best gained when you hire a big outfit that wants your repeat business and works professionally to gain it. This company has installed a new air conditioner/furnace, solved a very complicated basement flood cause, and fixed clogged drains for me, my relatives and many, many clients. Today I had Kyle Mundell.  He was safe with all the protective gear on (Covid), and when asked to protect the floor of a newly remodeled basement, accommodated me in every way.
I've had Mike Crockett, Connor Young, Issac Johnson, Adam, and Mike out to my house and they all were friendly, professional, and hard working.
As a contractor, I wish I had guys like this working for me.  And when asked they all said it was a great company to work for.
To sum up, I couldn't recommend anybody else to come into a home and take care of your plumbing needs.
Thanks to all!!

This place runs a borderline scam. Even if you know exactly what you need, they refuse to give any kind of rough estimate of what they'll charge you to get it done. Instead, they want to charge you $80 to have someone come assess your issue.

So the person comes, does the assessment, and proceeds to give you an estimate that's quite a bit higher than the local competition. Of course, if you chose to go with them, they apply this little scam fee of theirs to the final bill. So you get to pay their higher amount, or kiss your $80 goodbye as wasted effort on your part.

Avoid.

We called to schedule a service request at 11:00am on Sunday. We were told that a tech would call us when somebody was able to come out the house. After waiting for 3 hours, we called to check the status and gave no update except we were on the list.  After over 5 hours of waiting and still not hearing from anyone we decided to cancel the request.
The lack of urgency and communication was very disappointing. I would not recommend them to anyone, let alone if you had an emergency.

They came to my house and plumber basically got there, and said I can't do the job.  The plumber still charged me the fee.  I was concerned that would be the case.  So I tried to call early and let them know the situation.  When I called, they noted down my concerns, but nobody called back.  I called back after plumber left, explained situation to them.. and they refunded my money.  I didn't even have to call back.  Check came within a week.  If you have concern with them not being able to fix.. call and ask to speak to plumber.  You can send pictures too.  Customer service was quite good,  but because I called ahead to explain situation.  Will use again.

It's amazing how many negative reviews there are on here for pretty much the same reason. These guys are price gouging. Period.

I requested an inspection for a possible leak at my in-laws house. Their house is huge with 5 full bathrooms. Mr. Plumber's professional comes over and tells me every toilet in the house needs a $300 rebuild, both showers need a $500 rebuild and an old water heater that was working perfectly needed replaced. I think he walked into the house and thought I can charge this guy a fortune.

Grand total for the quote was over $15,000. I did every repair to fix the leak for $70. 3 out of 5 toilets only needed minor, 10 second adjustments.

Absolute crooks, bottom line. Wish I could give zero stars.

I am severely disappointed with Mr Plumber. The price to replace my tub faucet was close to $1000! The work was easily accessable through a door on the back side of the tub.  There was no soldering needed, just a simple disconnect with a pipe wrench and hook up the new one. Talk about sticker shock! Using the book price for a 2-3 hr repair is outrageous.

I am a landlord and own multiple properties besides my own homes in the Indianapolis area. I cannot afford their Rolls Royce rates. I was looking for a plumber when i found these guys. Looks like I'm looking again.

UPDATE: A month after this repair my tenant called to say the tub had a severe leak. I went to look and it seemed like it was coming from the drain. Since I had a bad eperience w/Mr Plumber I decided to call a different plumbing company. One that I had used in the past.

The new guy said whoever installed the faucet didn't use the gaskets and everytime it was turned on the water squirted onto the back of the tub, ran down and looked like it was coming from the drain. CRAPPOLA! He said he could fix it but that I should call the guy who screwed it up  and make him come out again. Well, at this point I decided Mr Plumber wasn't going to get anywhere near my stuff so I had him him go ahead and fix it while he was there, I'd have to pay a service call anyway.  Now that new faucet has cost me OVER a GRAND. NEVER AGAIN!

I tried to schedule a service appointment and both people I talked to were very unhelpful. I ended up changing my mind while on the phone with them and decided to find someone else. If the customer service reps are that unhelpful, it doesn't give me much confidence that anyone else there will help. There is no shortage of plumbers in the area, and I'm sure one of them will be better than this!

Laundry pipes frozen and busted. Thought they were fast to arrive on job but took 3 hours to fix pipe with a brass fitting. Heated the copper pipe way too long and had to cut it 3 times before the brass idea.

Then 3 days later, the SAME pipe busted and they said it frozen again (wasn't even close to temps from 3 days prior) and they wanted to charge me MORE the second time to correct the problem. Then when I asked them why they didn't suggest PEX pipes, they had no idea what that was!!!

A plumber should know what the best material to use on an outside wall. NO respect for them as they made my problem worse and my family lived without running water for more than 72 hours in the dead of winter.

They completed a very expensive plumbing job for us that cost thousands.  In the process, they damaged our irrigation system in multiple spots, so much so that it is completely unusable.  They ran over it with their heavy equipment and broke the lines.  Now they say they can give us a $175 credit to fix it, which will only cover the repair of one spot.  They are also saying it is not their responsibility to fix this.  I have spoken with multiple people there who say that it's our fault for not knowing exactly where the (underground) lines were (although Mr. Plumber could see control boxes level to the ground), so therefore, it is not their responsibility and there is nothing more they can do for me.  It is extremely frustrating that a large company bringing in millions a year that can afford television advertising would be so cheap and unwilling to do the right thing, especially since an irrigation system moving water through PVC pipes is plumbing, and being a plumbing company, they could easily and inexpensively fix the system.  Now we are stuck with coming up with the money to try to fix something that THEY DAMAGED.  They are obviously motivated by greed and money, not doing the right thing.  Shame on you, Mr. Plumber.  I will NEVER use them again and will be sure to let others know about my experience.  I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.  That was a week ago and they have yet to respond.  With the number of plumbing companies in Indianapolis, nobody needs to put up with inferior customer service such as this.

Plumber showed up to unclog line at 10:15. Later than they were suppose to be here. Equipment didn't work. I was told he'd be back after rebuild equipment. I called in and  explained I took off work to be available and wanted next available person. So I didn't have to wait for rebuild. Was assured I would get next guy available. No one showed until nearly 4pm. Low and behold it was same guy that had to repair his equipment. Basically they lied to me. I will not be using their service anymore

Can I give 0 stars? How about negative? The prices these people are trying to charge are ridiculous, and furthermore they won't honor the price listed for clearing a drain on their website ($93). False advertising at it's finest.

I have a stuck kitchen sink drain. It needs snaked, and that's it. I know that's all it needs. I just don't have a long enough snake. They charged me $80 to diagnose the problem. Then it was going to be another $80 to fix a seal on a plastic pipe, as well as a whopping $225 to actually snake the drain. I've had this done before and paid about $100 total for this service.

When we called to ask about why the rate was not what was listed on their web site, mrplumberindy.com/servic…, where it clearly says $93 for drain clearing, we weren't given an answer. You have to pay a fixed rate, there's nothing I can do was all we were told.

I will go out of my way to ensure people do not use their service.

I had used their sister company Williams Comfort Air before so when I needed help with my water heater I call Metzler's Mr. Plumber.  I had water leaking out the bottom of my tank and they made it clear it could break worse any minute possibly and it needed to be replaced.  So, obviously it could last longer... but the pressure to make a quick decision is there.  So we went with a Tankless water heater.

A week later I had a different plumbing company over because I wanted to put in a water powered backup sump system.  That plumber commented on the new tankless and said it's a great unit and he installs it himself.  He asked if I would tell him what i paid... so i did.  Doing his best not to laugh... he said wow, that's $1,200 more then what I charge.  Obviously I didn't feel very good at that moment.

So most reputable companies stand behind their prices and if something is off they match or do something to compensate.  So I called them up and all I got was avoidance and cold responses.  The plumber even called me that installed it and after telling him he openly admitted that Mr. Plumber is a lot more expensive then most plumbing companies.  Claimed it was because the training their technicians are required.  Well... that so called training I didn't see cause a week later i had water leaking out the water pipe leading into my new tankless.

A hundred or two dollar difference I could swallow... but $1,200 is A LOT.  Then for them to admit after they are a lot more expensive.  It really felt like they take advantage of a situation where you put in a position and make you feel like you have to make a quick decision and can't price out or get other quotes.  You trust they are being fair pricing and they are not.  I contact a third plumbing company and their estimate in the same range as the other that was $1,200 cheaper.  So it wasn't just one random company.

After all that... Mr. Plumber refused to do anything and said the job is done and sorry.  Obviously showing they don't care at all about how customer feels.  Now I feel very used.  Plus to mention the work they did on the past for a furnace with Williams Comfort Air.

So do yourself a favor and DON'T USE THEM and save A LOT of money!

I responded to an ad in the paper, repeated on their website, which quoted $93 or free for opening the drain.  The plumber informed me that while the offer might be misleading, it would cost $225.00 to do the job.  (This is a regular kitchen sink.)  I informed him that, indeed, I felt mislead and declined his new offer.  Then he had the gall wanting to charge me some $85.00 for his 5 min appearance.  I declined.
This is a first class scam.  One can only wonder how characters like these can stay in business.  Stay away.

I really have nothing critical to say about the actual Plumber that did our work. He was professional and a nice guy.  The part I have a problem with is he was here for about 1 1/2 hours and they charged me 675 dollars.  After speaking with the Mgr. and letting him know that I felt over charged he justified the charge by claiming expensive truck inventory.  Three weeks later I had 5 hours of work done by another Plumbing company. They plumbed my new kitchen sink, plumbed my new bathroom sink and installed two toilets.  I got charged 475 dollars.  Apparently other outfits have learned to supply good service for a lot less.  I will not use Metzlers Mr. Plumber again, not because they do sub par work but because they are too proud of their prices.  Time to get back to reality Metzler's.

Terrible experience.  I had Mr. Plumber come out for a quote and to hopefully fix the issue.  After receiving an EXORBITANTLY high quote, I politely asked the representative to leave.  I can't say for sure, they may be good at what they do, the there is no way to justify the price I received on the quote.  For just the quote, THE QUOTE, I was charged a $79 service fee for having them come out.  I could have applied the $79 toward the repair, but their estimate was FOUR TIMES as much as I ended up paying to get the work completed.  Thankfully, I decided to cut my losses and lose $79 rather than MUCH more by having Mr. Plumber perform the work.  Needless to say, I am not pleased and posting this for other consumers who are in need of a plumber.  There are several reputable businesses/plumbers in the area who do not charge a service fee to come out, give you a quote and let you know how they will fix your problem.  Do your research and save yourself $79 at least, if not MUCH MUCH more.
