I called Gibson's because of a discount I had, when he came to my place 2 years ago to service my 1985 furnace in my mobile home he completely cleaned the 'gunk' and dust out and replaced a piece that was in deed needed.  Then he told me about a payment plan where I pay $8 auto pay each month and then my next annual service call is already paid which includes discounts on future calls including the 24 hour call in case of an emergency and the office called about my annual appointment when the date was near.  Very friendly, explains any issues or what he's done clearly so I understand.  I recommend Gibson's for their customer service, knowledge and the payment plan.

Jason came and fixed our central air, we had previously hired 2 local companies to come out and fix it but both failed to fix the problem and charged us an arm and a leg! But Jason came out, identified the problem, gave us a price and came back 2 days later and fixed it! The bill was exactly what he quoted us! I highly recommend Gibson's! I'm a satisfied customer!

Not sure what kind of star ranking to provide here.

Received a call from Adam, the service manager.  We discussed the incident, and he took note of the problems in detail.  He gave us the option to end our contract if that is what we wanted.  Given his civility, that he took the conversation seriously, and that our other visits had gone well enough, we chose to remain customers.

My high rating is a result of the great service I got from their service tech Josh K.  I had a thermostat installed earlier in the day on Friday  by another tech but the furnace fan kept shutting off and turning back on in very short cycles. Josh came out on Friday night and quickly diagnosed the problem and fixed the issue. His thoroughness in his work gave me great confidence that my furnace was repaired correctly.

I would have given a 1 star rating but my wife said that the service technician (Colin I believe) who came to our home was very pleasant and professional. Our air conditioning quit working yesterday and I noticed the fan on the compressor had quit running. I manually got the fan to start by pushing it and figured the capacitor had gone bad. I would have purchased the capacitor on my own (about $15 online and a 5 minute job to do myself) and replaced it but I was going to be out of town so we called Gibsons who was recommended to us. They performed a diagnostic test ($79) and determined that the capacitor was bad as expected as well as a bad wire that needed to be replaced. The total cost came out to over $450. The technician could not explain why this cost was so high other than stating that they go by the book cost when the part likely cost less than $20 and took less than an hour of his time to replace the wire and capacitor. I understand the diagnostic fee, expense for the technical expertise of the technician and the upcharge on parts and would be happy to pay $150-$200 for this service but $450 is simply taking advantage of customers.

We called because of a clogged drain that was keeping us from using our a/c on a very warm day. We were not expecting to have someone show up after 4:00 p.m. on a Friday. Within an hour we were receiving a call from Josh saying he was on his way. He showed up and was very courteous and answered all of my annoying questions. A little while later the drain was fixed and the a/c back on. He was a savior.

We had a random water problem that happened 2 days before Christmas. Called our usual places first and they would either end up charging us for after hours or wouldn't be able to get us in until the next day (during which we had plans to be elsewhere). Gibsons was able to be there within a few hours. Our technician was Jason M. He was polite, knowledgeable, wore shoe covers (I hate having shoes worn in the house, so this was important to me), and seemed pretty thorough. Best of all he wasn't trying to cause problems where there were none. In other words, he thought, based on his years of experience, that watching the problem (to see if it really was a problem) was the best course of action rather than drilling a hole in our ceiling.

More than a week later and his hypothesis seems to be holding true. It was nice to be able to have someone come out when we needed a quick assessment. It was even nicer that no extra work (i.e., $$ charges) was done when it wasn't necessary.

Based on this experience with Jason M., I would definitely recommend Gibson's to others.

(Why not a 5 star then? Well, in a case like this I would prefer to have several positive experiences from a company like this before bestowing the highest possible rating to insure a consistent wonderful experience. Additionally, I usually reserve 5 stars for something that goes far and away, above and beyond, which I would not expect to happen during every visit.)
