We had 3 flood lights replaced with CM Electric and we could not be more pleased. They were easy to contact and schedule with and Vlad was really nice. He explained things to me and made sure I knew what was going on. I will absolutely use them again and will most certainly refer them to who ever needs work done.

I needed my new light fixtures installed ASAP and CM Electric came within a few hours. The electrician was great! He was kind, professional and accommodating.
He made sure the length of the pendants were exactly how I wanted them and was happy to make adjustments until I was 100% pleased

We were very impressed with CM Electric. They were able to schedule a tech to come out quickly, and he was very nice and friendly. He was thorough with his inspection and work and follow up was amazing. It would figure when he showed up we couldn't replicate the issue, but he came back later that day when the issue happened again. He had us schedule another follow up to dig deeper into the issue, which resulted in figuring out our issue - he again explained with lots of detail how to solve it.
On his final visit he was able to fix our issue, and made sure everything was in working order before leaving. Each time we called for scheduling they were prompt and followed up and great to work with. We'll call them again next time we have an electrical issue

CM Electric is FIRST CLASS!  Michael (Owner) employs a team of pros!  Vladimir arrived on time, provided honest advice.  He didn't push services I don't need, he was great!  I'm new to Glenview, I finally found an electrician that I trust!  These guys are the BEST!

Our electric kept going out and it wasn't due to a circuit breaker issue on the main box inside the house.  We thought it had to be ComEd and they came out and said it wasn't them.  I talked to a couple electricians that said it was likely some bad wiring inside the house.  Through a referral, I talked to Mike and CM Electric and he asked a few questions then had a list of a few things it would be.  Vlad came out and diagnosed that I had a bad main breaker on the outside of the house that was probably 40 years old.  Vlad was sharp as well and he got a new breaker and was back the next day for the repair.  This was beyond the normal repair issue and they were able to figure it out quickly and get it resolved.  Definitely would use them again.

I could not be happier with our outdoor string lights installed by CM Electric. Everything from planning to installation was a breeze. They are the only company who was able to cover the exact area we were interested in illuminating without using any posts and doing so at a very affordable price. I highly recommend using the professionals for this project instead of doing it yourself and sacrificing on the overall appearance of your yeard.

We could not be happier with Michael's service. He was very responsive (which is saying something--what's with all the electricians who won't return phone calls or messages?), to the point, and knowledgeable. He was able to diagnose our problem quickly and worked with us to put up light fixtures that not only WORK but look GREAT. Very happy with his service and will use him again in a HEARTBEAT!

Exceptional! Our tech Vlad corrected three switch problems, installed a new motion sensed overhead light in the basement and did a thorough check of our main breaker panel and grounding. Very helpful suggestions on updating the panel and answered lots of questions about other DIY replacements I'm working on. CM will get any future work needed at our home and highly recommend to friends and neighbors.

We were in need of getting a breaker box replacement after finding out we had a Federal Pacific breaker box which apparently was a defunct company which should have been recalled in the 70s/80s but instead the company apparently shut down - come to find out from a realty agent, these breaker boxes are known to catch on fire! With that, we wanted this fixed ASAP, even if it's lasted 40 years, after reading about it, it's not worth the risk - so we asked around for a few quotes - CM Electric responded to us quickly and gave a decent price for what a job like that would potentially be. The electrician came out today and was hard at work for hours - he did a wonderful job! The single new breaker box is neat and clean. If we were ever in need of another electrical issue, they'd be the first we would call now. Thank you!

I wanted what seemed to be a simple quote to replace some existing outdoor landscaping lights. The company made an appointment time to make a quote then called very late in the day to cancel & re-schedule for the following day. The gentleman came out the next day and seemed very thorough saying he would quote me other options. I appreciated that he would quote the job 2 different ways and he promised it within a few days. A few days passed and I texted the contractor asking if I would see the emailed quote soon. I got NO response. A few more days went by and I texted him again that I would no longer be needing his services and would make other arrangements. No call, no apology for wasting a week of my time when he stated if we agreed quickly on a price he could complete the job by month's end. Now I need to arrange to start the process again with a new contractor and will unlikely not meet the deadline we wanted. I would not recommend this contractor based on breaking a promised quote and failure to follow up by phone, text or email as was expected. Very disappointing that the quote was just dropped without explanation. In a word, irresponsible. I did not have any work done by this contractor and cannot make a judgement on pricing or the quality of their work.

I highly recommend CM Electric! They came and told me what the plan for helping me with my problems, gave me a price and a time and did the job, no problems, and everyone was great.

We were first introduced to CM Electric through our home warranty insurance. The electrician and his apprentice were very helpful and spent a good deal of time explaining and showing me what needed to be addressed and updated, and what did not, and why. Despite only owning the house for a week, we decided to get a quote to upgrade our service and do the rewiring needed now, rather than later.

We got the quote. I called to confirm the quote, the work and our address with the owner as well as get a date for the work to start. He then had someone else call me back to confirm our address, email address and phone numbers.

I never heard from them again. The date for work has come and gone, no CM Electric. We've both called, leaving multiple voicemails, no response. It's as if this company disappeared!

I thought we had something crossed off our list; however, aligning with them just pushed the work completion date out and made my list longer. We're very disappointed.

Vlad came out and was very nice. He seemed knowledgable and willing to help. He said the owner of the company would contact me regarding an estimate/quote. That was well over a week ago and I never received an email, phone call, or text message back from anyone at CM Electric. The only reason this gets two stars was because of Vlad's professionalism. I won't be using their services at all after their lack of communication.

Fixed a faulty outlet on my back porch, which other electricians told me would be impossible to fix, would have to install a new $2k outlet. After a year of not using my car's electric battery that I used to charge on that outlet, I called in CM Electric. They assured me it could be fixed as long as it used to work. They came out the very next morning and just fixed it. It was only the cost of the diagnostic. I am so relieved that I'm finally using the outlet and driving my car on electric again. Can't believe the other company couldn't figure it out (or didn't want to). Wish I called CM Electric sooner!

I've had CM Electric to my home twice, the same electrician - Vlad Ponarovsky.  Vlad is competent, thorough and explains everything!  He is caring and competent and spends time to make sure your questions are answered and you know about your home.  Highly recommended.

Called this company friday around 6.45pm .Was able to get my lightfixture up  next day for good price.Workers really paid atention to detail covered  all floors before putting ladders  i am very happy with service.

My home project was done in the short time, faster than I expected. They upgraded fuse box to new panel in the hose, changed several ceiling lights and fixed some of the outlets.

I am really impressed by CM Electrical's knowledge, kindness and willingness to help. I contacted them so that they could come over and replace a dimmer switch with a regular one as it was messing up my LED lights. I had already purchased the replacement switch and had intended to carry out the replacement myself, but I just could not get the wires connected correctly and would end up tripping the circuit breaker. The gentleman on the phone whom I spoke to heard me out fully and asked me a number of questions pertaining to the wire colors and the switches that I had (both the original and replacement) - he patiently waited while I looked up the components and provided him the answers. He then told me what wires to connect where and asked me to give it a shot myself. Before we ended the call he asked me to call back if I ran into issues. I carried out the replacement just as he had instructed and everything works perfectly. I can't  thank him enough for his help. I am sure that I would've had to pay a pretty penny had someone had to come over to do it. The world has good people in it - I ran into someone really good today! Thanks!

These guys are the best! Fantastic experience. Price was in line with other bids to upgrade our service and panel. Not the easiest job due to some issues, but CM Electric really knows their stuff. In and out in about 5 hrs. The city inspector said Oh, you used CM Electric. Well I know this will pass, they're one of the best. Pretty strong recommendation in my book. I got their name from a landlord friend that has used them exclusively for years, both residential and commercial. You won't regret calling them!

When I called the company to explain I had two electric outlets not working, the owner did not say they charge $180 for the first two hours regardless of the time they spend on repair. Actual time the electrician spent in the house was ten minutes.

I needed to get my kitchen and bathrooms rewired as part of an upgrade that we were working on in our house. I contacted CM Electric through a referral who had done work with them before. The appointment was promptly scheduled. We met, discussed the scope of the project, set up the budget and the timelines for the project. All work was done on time and within the budget. I was very impressed by the professionalism of this company and would refer them to anyone looking to do an electrical project.

I am a licensed contractor and own a number of apartment buildings in Evanston, Illinois.   CM Electric have done three jobs for me so far and I have found them very professional and competent.  The first job was a complete gut rehab with complete new electric including service and all new wires for a two flat on Asbury in Evanston.  The second and third jobs were commercial - one was a lighting store that had extensive electric requirements.  All three jobs that CM Electric did for my company passed inspection from the city of Evanston electric inspector who complemented them on the work.  I plan to use them again next month to replace the service in a two flat.  This work will be done while the tenants are living in the building which I am confident that CM Electric will once again do a good job on this project.  They really know their stuff and found the time to educate me on the newest code and best ways to do things.  They did not cut corners and went the extra mile for my company.
