I have been a loyal customer of Security plumbing for years because I have two rental properties and the property management company uses them for plumbing issues. Their work is good and I have never had any problems with workmanship. That being said, I have noticed in the past few repairs that the charge on the invoice has been higher, but I never questioned it. However, the last job was simple, replace the dripping shower valve and replace the toilet fill valve. The plumber came to the house and fixed both issues in 35 minutes. I expected the labor to cost $120 because that's what they charge per hour, but the parts were priced high. I checked the price of the parts online and noticed that I was charged double the cost of part. When I called them to ask why the high mark up, Steve said that they have to cover the overhead by charging more for parts. Honestly, we are already paying a lot for plumbing repairs. A business should not pass along their overhead costs to customers by charging them twice the cost of a part. Steve also said were not the cheapest out there and that's the truth. I am disappointed in your business practices. You can find plumbers that do quality work for a fair price. Security Plumbing, you have lost a super loyal customer.
