Fantastic service!  Very talented, professional, great personality, fair pricing, and trustworthy!  Roscoe was able to see us the same day.  Our toilet was backed up and it also backed up into our shower. He was able to clear it up.  In addition, he brought out his pipeline inspection camera so he could investigate why my drain had a tendency to clog up. Other plumbers I've used didn't do this extra step. He discovered that there were some areas where the pipe didn't have a slope because the earth had moved. Roscoe is great and installed a new vanity faucet quickly in my downtown condo. He also installed new angle valves, because the existing valves were no longer shutting off the water. He was easy to work with and arrived promptly at the scheduled time. He is very busy, so if you are trying to reach him during the workday when he has his hands full, try again, or wait for him to get back to you. We had a clogged kitchen sink and a bad leakfrom trying to fix it ourselves.  Rock-o-Rooter responded to our inquiry right away and gave us an appointment for that afternoon.  Clog got taken care of but there was a little leak afterwards.   Roscoe came the next day and found our pipe was cracked. Probably our own fault. He replaced the pipe and didn't charge us anything extra. He said it was part of the warranty. Now we have no leak and a drain that works! Thank you!

When you live in an old house in east Honolulu, when things go wrong with the electrical or plumbing, anything short of a major renovation re-do can be the start of an anxiety filled adventure.  

In our case we contacted Rock-O-Rooter twice,  once for a slow bathtub drain and more recently, a plugged kitchen sink.  The home of an elderly relative, we relied on the info supplied in part by Yelp.  One of the reviewers for this business was none other than good friend Li Y.  Who enthusiastically recommended them.  All the things Li mentioned were true:

From the time the appoint was made, Roscoe contacted us when he was on his way from the previous appointment.   The two-man team was great, The 80 something year old house has enough bends and turns in the plumbing to make cleaning and diagnoses problematic.  But Rock-O-Rooter quickly got the water running smoothly again and even gave some pointers to lessen the chance of future clogs.

They thoroughly cleanup after their work, use disinfectants and follow pandemic protocol.  

What's nice is they stand behind their work and give a 3 month warranty too.  That's nice to have.

We called Rock-O-Rooter because every time we showered our tub would drain really slow and bubbles would rise through the toilet and make a gurgling sound. This problem was going on for a week and wasn't getting better, so we were glad that Rock-O-Rooter was available to come check it out later the same day we called. They showed up and diagnosed and thoroughly explained the problem to us. I was surprised that the tub was not our issue! It was actually our main sewer drain that was clogged. They had to remove our toilet and snake the drain through the toilet opening, which is a big operation! But they definitely fixed it, and after they were done they replaced and sealed the toilet, cleaned up after themselves. The price was more than fair, the service was great, and we would recommend Rock-O-Rooter!

What can I say, if I can give Roscoe and his crew 6 stars, I would, we had an issue with our plumbing, he came to fix it promptly but told us the issue is our tree out in the backyard, gave me a quote of how much it would cost to take care of the problem. We did ended up hiring him and his crew and him came on a Sunday and took care of everything. When I got the final bill, it was less that what he had originally quoted which I agreed to pay. I had an issue with a dripping faucet. I put in for a quote around midday. Roscoe responded and made an appointment for the afternoon. He came and took care of the issue. I hired them about 6-9 months ago to assist with a sink that was draining slowing in a bathroom that is almost never used and repeatably has tree root issues due to a large tree thats right where the pipe exits the house.  They came out and partially resolved the problem however did not charge .  I overheard them talking and the young kid helping the business owner seemed like he fucked up based on his mannerism and the owner was trying to do his best to not have the kid say something I would overhear. The kid was working the machine and it was really torquing making a lot of noise and then all of a sudden it sounded like something snapped and then the snake unwound and it came out.  The kid was acting super weird then and they went quite.  They both tried to slip out the back door and I could tell something was weird when I walked in on them and they seemed skittish like a kid that got caught doing something they shouldn't have, I could hear they were whispering about something like they were hiding something which is why I started listening in and the owner said something like I think I can hear it in there, this isn't good, go back to the van ill meet you out there in a minute.  On the way out I noticed the end of the snake on their machine was broken off but I didn't think anything of it at the time because I assumed they had interchangeable tips but it clearly looked broken..  This sink is barely ever used so I didn't really care if it was slow to drain... however I just opened the check up where they were working and found a piece of a broken drain snake that was rusted but was the the entire thing. This wasn't from us as mine is still fully intact.  It was about 10 feet from the sink they were working on and there is more because it was a partial section and not the end.  What they must have done is broke off the their snake by over torquing it and left it inside the drain!  That explains their skittishness and trying to sneak out the back door and also explains the empty tip on their machine when he was caring it out and the noise followed by nervousness.  These were the only guys I hired so it was definently there's.  They screwed up and rather then fess up tried to cover it up.

We tried everything short of calling a plumber, baking soda/vinegar, got a snake auger, hot water, shop vac but nothing worked. After struggling with our bathroom sink for several days I sent out multiple request on yelp and Roscoe was the first to get back to me and at a very reasonable price. He was able to come the following day and he was very professional and complied with the covid-19 guidelines by wearing a mask, minimizing  contact, and the area was clean after he left. I had a problem with the way they classified drains in a hotel and they were able to distinguish what is and what isn't a main line glow. This is essential when you have hotel units that are now individually owned condos and have a shared drain. The open communication of this company and it's leaders take the time to learn about condo/hotels and educate their employees on these matters is very helpful. Our tub and toilet in another bathroom backed up this past week.  They responded within a couple of hours and did a great job!!  Very affordable as compared to other places I called.  They have great customer service and they were very honest.  I would definitely recommend them!

Showed up on time, with masks and gloves (important during COVID). Friendly, helpful, and quick. They were also extremely fair in terms of pricing. I would not only use them again should I need a plumber...but I'd also recommend them to family and friends.

Our shower clogged and was full of water. My boyfriend attempted to unclog it with a hanger and it didn't work. So we used the yelp estimate to find a plumber and we chose rock-o-rooter for their guarantee. They altered their hours to meet our work schedule due to both of us getting off late in the evening. They showed up and had the shower cleared in 20 minutes. They even cleaned out our tub of the filthy water residue that was in there.

Excellent service and quality work.  Roscoe arrived on time and wearing a mask.  He snaked both my outdoor utility tub and my main bathroom shower.  Now the water drains freely.   Huge difference.   Roscoe also changed my old cement utility tub with a Thermoplastic Utility Tub.  It looks great!  He did an outstanding job installing the new tub.  I highly recommend using Rock-O-Rooter for all your plumbing needs.

Just in case you're not into reading long reviews.  Here's the quick version.  Hire Rock-O-Rooter (ROR) for any and all plumbing jobs...big or small...you will not regret your decision.  Roscoe and his team deliver way beyond expectations!
Now for the long version.  My downstairs toilet backed up and overflowed late Thursday (7/30/20) night.  I called and left 3 messages for my regular plumber...who advertises 24/7/365 service...long story short...it Saturday 8/8/20...and no call back yet.  Anywho...their loss my gain...I found Roscoe at ROR by searching Yelp.  His past reviews sounded exactly like the kind of service and experience I was looking for.  Called Roscoe first thing Friday 7/31/20 morning...he picked up...I described my issue...he said he would be at my house that same day by 2pm.  He was here just before 2pm as promised...mask on...professional, polite, answered all my questions, and was ready to work.  Roscoe recommended 2 options and prices...we picked the option that we felt was best (by the way...both options were extremely reasonably priced)...he got straight to work.  Fast forward...about 4 hours later...for what should have been a 1 hour job...our issue was not fixed...and Roscoe had used both options plus had to remove our toilet...of course that added to the cost...but very little for the time and effort spent. Bottom line...our simple clog was not so simple...we had a potentially major problem with our main sewer line deep under ground in our yard...anyway that was Roscoe's suspicion...and it looked like it on the camera he sent down the line.  He said he wanted to come back on Sunday 8/2/20 to scope it again with a 2nd plumber and make sure he was seeing the situation correctly and pinpoint the exact location of the problem.  On Sunday he and his friend showed up on time...did their thing for about an hour...confirmed his suspicions and the location of the problem.  His recommendation was to dig up the old pipe and replace the broken section of about 7 or 8 feet.  By the way he didn't charge for this 2nd visit.  Roscoe said to give him a day to figure out a final cost...since he had to call a 2nd company to do the digging part.  About 2 or 3 hours later he called back and had an quote for me...it was steep...but when I thought about it...it was actually pretty low for the amount of work involved and heavy machinery to be used.  Compared to other work I've had done by carpenters and electricians...this was a bargain... plus we would be able to use our toilets and shower again.  He said he could get a crew together for Sunday 8/8/20 at 8am.  Fast forward again...at 7:45am on Sunday...today...Roscoe and his crew were ready to go...this time he brought his dad along to do the actual job...he's a plumber too.  The crew quickly got started...before you know it they were about 6 feet down...and ready to fix the problem.  We had a totally broken line...its a miracle we didn't have issues months...or years ago...it was a pretty severe break.  The team got to work fixing the section of broken pipe...they even improved the section before it with 2 new cleanouts...totally modernizing the line.  Before you know it...they were done...trench refilled with dirt...and they started the clean up process.  Of course you can only imagine how muddy everything was...since it's been raining nonstop since  hurricane Douglas.  Roscoe's crew did the best they could to clean up...and things look much much better than we expected.  So we're hoping to never ever need Roscoe again for such a huge job...but we can sleep tonight knowing he's there just in case we do.  Hire Roscoe...you will be 100% happy you did!!!  Mahalo Roscoe and Rock-O-Rooter!!!!!

I was happy to get an appointment for the week that I called.  Roscoe kindly squeezed me in to clear my toilet and install a new kitchen and bathroom faucets.  He lets you know that he's on the way and he arrived before his time window.  
I appreciate that he had a trainee because Hawaii needs younger generation to keep the economy going.  Roscoe did an excellent job on 60yr old plumbing!!!  And he gives you options if there's questions on the fixtures, if you want to keep it or replace.  
His estimate was timely considering how old the pipes and condition of the fixtures.  I'm so glad to have found someone that I know does good work.

I had a toilet that kept clogging, and initially called a different company that had a impressive amount of good Yelp reviews. When that plumber came out, he put a camera into the line, found something stuck in the pipe, and without trying any thing else, he immediately told me I should replace all my plumbing for $7000.

Best plumber ever! The hot and cold water valves connected to my washer was leaking. Roscoe responded to my Request a quote on Yelp very quickly. Within 24 hours, I received a quote and scheduled the repair. Immediately after, he sent the appointment confirmation. On the day of my appointment, he sent a text notifying me that he was on his way. He arrived promptly and was wearing a mask. He assessed the issue and explained what he needed to do.
Roscoe explained he would need to drive back into town to grab a part. He was very respectful of our time and asked if we were okay with him taking the time to drive back to town. He returned quickly with the part and resumed his work. I left new hoses on the washing machine and he replaced it without me asking! As part of the repair, he needed to cut a hole into the drywall to access the pipes. He covered the hole with an access panel and it was perfect! Tyler called before coming to our house. When he got here, Tyler was super polite, super professional!  Unclogged our drain.  Told us that the piping at our house was very old.  Instead of replacing the pipe they could put a lining in the old existing pipe.  Sounded very good. If I could give 10 stars these guys would definitely deserve them. Roscoe was very straight forward and explained how he was going to get the job done. Him and his worker showed up promptly and were mindful of the pandemic by wearing mask which I appreciated a lot. When they got here Roscoe wasn't rushing me and answered all my questions and in fact offered a lot of extra helpful tips on another issue we were having in the bathroom. He quoted me a fair price and did exactly what they were supposed to do and even cleaned up. They worked on my toilet that was leaking due to a broken seal. After replacing the seal they made sure it was set properly, even made sure the toilet was leveled and no longer rocking. These guys paid attention to detail every step of the way. Let me just say that Roscoe has been amazing to work with. We are currently going through a major bad tenant issue, and the Covid-19 situation is making it so much worse. Long story short, our tenant clogged his toilet, tub and sink (badly), and then uncoiled and shoved the metal showerhead hose into the drain to try to unclog things! So not only did that not unclog anything, but he got that stuck as well. I called Roscoe and he was able to go over at the end of the day to clear all the clogs and got the showerhead hose situation cleared out. Honestly, this tenant situation has been such a nightmare, but finding Roscoe has been the one bright side. I hired another plumber to fix a clogged kitchen sink.  They charged me two times extremely high fixed drain clearing fees but could not clear the drain.  I called Rock-o-Rooter, they responded quickly and worked diligently to solve the problem.  It was a difficult repair that required multiple days, and involved digging up the concrete floor and cut out an underground pipe.  They charged a reasonable amount for the repair and not charge me until the problem is fixed.

It is not easy to find a reliable and reasonable plumber.  Don't go to the big guys which shows up after a few days, and take you to the cleaners when you have no choice and overcharge you.  Highly recommended.

Yep, I am going to jump on the bandwagon and give Rock-o-Rooter and owner a BEEEG high FIVE!  

I had a minor plumbing issue that my condominium said I had to fix.  I was in no rush but had to have the valve changed out to allow for cold/hot water option.  Hey, I told my condo manager I didn't mind having guests take cold showers but he said it wasn't an option. Lol.

Called Roscoe late Sunday afternoon as my kitchen garbage disposal was backing up and water wouldn't drain. Been looking for a new plumber since my old one stopped taking jobs in town.  I called Rock-O-Rooter based on their excellent YELP reviews.
Roscoe removed a no longer needed garbage disposal and replaced 2 leaking hose bibbs.  My house has uncommon hose bibbs so he had to make an extra trip to pick up replacements. Very nice person and the price was  reasonable. Will be calling him again for future plumbing issues.

I'd like to thank Roscoe for his help this evening. Our bathtub drain was clogged and had been problematic for a while. We live in an older home that was built in the 60s with pipes that were probably never replaced. We asked what the cost would be for assistance with unclogging the drain as well as cost for replacing the pipe. He provided both estimates quickly and was able to come over day of between 4PM-6PM. I also inquired about safety precautions due to COVID19 and he advised that he's always masked/covered and respectful of our home rules that we may have as well. This was great to hear.

He worked strictly from beneath our home in a small crawl space, and albeit he's quite a tall guy too. He removed a small portion of the piping and sure enough was old, corroded, and clogged. This was about an hour in and we had a couple of other issues in our home - whistling toilet and leaky sink faucet. I wanted to be respectful of his time, but he was accommodating to taking a look at these two additional items. He was able to fix both issues and our total for all three issues came out to less than what was originally quoted.

Called to schedule an inspection. When the guy answered, he sounded very annoyed that I was even calling. As I asked simple questions such as next available appointment and cost of inspection, I continued to feel more and more uncomfortable with his attitude. Guess I will have to continue the search.

My garbage disposal was leaking.  After googling, I decided it was cheaper and faster to replace rather than repair.  I bought a disposal from Home Depot and Yelped costs and good reviews.  Only 2 replied with an estimate, the others said call them directly.  I went with Rock-O-Rooter.  Roscoe did the work quickly and reliably.

This was the second time I've worked with Rock O'Rooter. The main valve, outside the regulator, and the sprinkler valve were replaced, and a new dishwasher was installed, all in one day. The work involved the Board of Water Supply turning on and off from the street main supply line, and it was a fairly lengthy job involving digging and soldering. Roscoe and his assistant coordinated and worked inside and outside of the house very efficiently, and they cleaned the work area well after the job was done. The service level was great - they kept the client informed, texted when they were on the way, and were on time for the appointment. Would I use them for the third time? Absolutely yes!

I posted my project on Yelp and the very next day they had given me a quote and a set of times they could come. I selected the time and they confirmed, all through this app...so convenient!
What I didn't realize was that when they said 4-6pm they meant they would come from a range from 4-6pm not that they would be here at 4 till 6pm. But I havent needed a plumber so not sure if thats the usual expectation? We were waiting at 4pm and had to ask if they were still coming and they showed up a little before 5pm.

Anyway, besides the little inconvenience he came and snaked my bathroom sink about 6 FEET to clear it! Dang! There was no way my boyfriend would have been able to do that with his 3 ft line we bought at city mill + the vinegar and baking soda we already tried. I am very glad that my boyfriend finally gave in so I could call the plumber. (Haha)

What I thought was very nice was that he cleaned up after because there was residual splashes everywhere! Ew. Then after he was done, I found out there is a 90 day warranty on the fix he did which gave me a piece of mind but he said I wouldn't need to do this for a few years anyway.

Had a gas meter installed at my house for a gas range. Needed a pipe ran a short, but relatively challenging route to my new gas stove.

If you need a plumber I would say look no further than Rock-O-Rooter or do your research and then come back to Rock-O-Rooter.  I always look to yelp when searching for a business or contractor for whatever job we need done.  I rely heavily on the yelp reviews left by past customers to help me decide which company to go with and I always read every review for a company I am researching.    

Every review you read about Rock-O-Rooter is a 5 star review and now I too can speak from first hand experience that it is a 5 star company!  We have called on Roscoe's services on three (3) separate occasions, for 2 separate bathrooms, and have been happy with the top notch job he does.  Each time I contacted him he was always either quick to respond or did so within a reasonable time in his busy day.  I ask a lot of questions and he has been very patient in answering them.  Roscoe has been a professional from day one and is a very humble and honest man with very reasonable prices.  I trusted him immediately upon meeting him and have decided to make him our go to plumber.  Oh, and by the way, in case you haven't noticed he works seven (7) days a week from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.  I highly recommend Rock-O-Rooter!  Thank you Roscoe!

As other reviews stated, Rock-O-Rooter's service is top-notch.  Roscoe was extremely quick to respond with a quote and was even able to schedule an appointment within the next couple of hours, which if anyone has tried to contact a plumber (especially in an emergency), you'd know how difficult it can be to find someone in a pinch.

Fortunately, my situation wasn't an emergency but tends to be a little tricky since I had a blockage within a common drain shared with a next door unit.  Roscoe was eventually able to remove the clog and even replaced a cracked kitchen sink nut at no charge!

I'm so happy to have found this company and Roscoe. First, he was the first to respond to my request within a matter of 20 minutes to offer his services, if we needed him. It was a late Saturday night issue and we wanted someone for the next day. Roscoe came Sunday afternoon (yes, with a mask). After assessing, he cleared the backup and surveyed out to the street. He provided us with a comprehensive assessment of the situation, and we were good to go! His rate was SO REASONABLE for a weekend call and we are so grateful for Roscoe. Great service, responsive, affordable and super professional.  The job to change the disposal was quick.  Def a go-to company for plumbing issues.

Clogged bathroom sink drain.   Roscoe picked up on the first call.  Fit me in his schedule the same day.   Tyler came assessed the problem, snaked the drain and it drained great.  Gave me some tips on how to keep the drain clear in the future.  Noticed a small leak a few days later so called and Tyler came the same day and fixed it using new larger washer and teflon tape free of charge.  No more leaking.   Great service, responsive, good follow-up  & some free advice.   Third time I've used Rock-O-Rooter.

I had major drain clogg in my house. Every single drain in my house was clogged and one of the bathtubs was backing up. It was a disaster. I called Rock O Rooter on Tuesday and they were able to come on Thursday. It was a miserable two days without working drain. My wife, kids and I had to use the bathroom at fast food restaurants. No shower for two days!
Even though I picked the best rated plumber from Yelp, I was very skeptical about Rock O Rooter because of past experience with repair contractors who are more interested in making quick buck than doing their job. They usually lay out a grand plan and charge your arms and legs but they actually do very minimal work and most of time they don't do it right.
Rock O Rooter guy (young man called Tim) was very prompt and cordial. He found the problem and worked out a strait forward solution. He walked around the house to look for main sewer then gave me an estimate of $350 to clear the clog.
This is what he has done.
1. Look for the problem
2. Test the method
* tried with hand crank auger
2. Figure out the solution
3. Get to the work
* remove the toilet bowl
* brought in 50ft motorized auger cable
* wasn't successful
* called another guy with heavier and longer cable machine
* finally cleared the clog
* put the toilet bowl back with new wax
* clean the mess
4. hand me the bill for $350.00 + tax
Great job! Mission complete.

Really appreciated how kind and friendly Roscoe was. He came in to fix my aunt's broken garbage disposer and did an amazing job! I asked him if he could take a look at her guest bathroom toilet which needed a new fill valve and also at my mom's leaky kitchen faucet. He fixed the first two right away.
