A-Total Plumbing helped me during a bind.  I had an emergency plumbing issue and they were able to send a technician the same day.  My technician, Kevin, was great and helped resolve my crisis.  I would recommend this company for your plumbing needs.

Story Still not Finished!!!!

January 3
Called and had what they call technician out to a water heater / leak issue.  Told that a new water heater was best resolution and we figured that going in because of the date of the original water heater

Jan 4 showed up with new water heater and install upstairs. Technician doesn't have a pump to pump the water heater properly so the drainage of the original tank is around 3-4 hours fully using gravity as the catalyst to drain. After 3-4 hours is up the New Water heater doesn't fully fit into the original space and we are told the flume work isn't sufficient for the new water heater install.

Jan5 Decision is made by us because the total amount is getting close to tankless water heater to go with tankless heater instead of trying to reflute the exhaust and somehow figure fitting the water heater in the current space that wouldn't fit. So tankless is the decision.

Jan6 Tankless Water Heater @$7800.00 is started. Starts 8am ends 10pm Technicians have zero parts on hand limited tools and have to go to Atlanta multiple times during entire install process.

Tools provided to them by me the customer - Extension Ladder ( for the outside of the house exhausting & moisture drains ) - 1/2inch condensation tubing - hole saw - head lamps for lighting-

10pm Tankless Heater is finished

Technicians forget to put screens on the exhaust piping and the drain condensation pipe that is outside the house ( so birds don't nest) also they didn't caulk around the piping of the holes that were drilled and pipes were put through

Jan 7-8 So we call this guy named Justin that was heading up this original catastrophe and he now comes out with Technician and looks over the project ( which I was and still am very concerned it was properly done considering the work and unpreparedness of each visit with tools and materials. Screens were put in and Justin himself overlooked the project install stating we will get an inspection from city for you

Jan 20
We called A-Total and asked when our inspection was going to take place. They responded with the city is backed up on inspections so hopefully soon. - Well I'm smarter than that so I call the city to verify the claim they had and lady at the city Dept tells us they are not backed up and an inspection for the work hasn't been called in at all. Thanks Justin for telling me at my house personally you would handle it.

Feb 2 - A-Total requests for inspection via text. Ha ha we already asked for an inspection. Thanks Justin

Feb 16- personally call A-Total again to speak directly to Justin. 10am. At 4pm still no return call so I call back to speak to him and he's available. He states he never said this that whatever so is what it is but as I'm on the phone the desk lady is now allegedly on with the city inspection people and now making an appointment. She asks when we are available and I say tomorrow. She states we can't guarantee that I say ok then tell me when. She says we will call or email you. I say ok heard this before......

Feb 23 A-Total calls us and ask for our availability. Laughable. We say schedule it and let us know asap.

Well here we are almost 2 months later Feb 26 -
No inspection has been made ( we've actually called the city because A-Total said the city is backed up with inspections ) and city said they are not backed up and A-Total has not called in for one.

Justin personally accountable for this has deceived us along with all office people , Techs and anyone associated with this deceitful company. $7800.00 was quick to swipe.

Hope the inspection turns out well. My kids rooms are close to the area installed and we've already had to bury a kid for a different reason but if A-Total is responsible for any reason man I tell ya

Fox is also being contacted

The plumber was timely, professional, and friendly. Very knowledgeable and helpful! He was able to fix my problem in less than 45 minutes. My water heater expansion tank had a leak, he had one in the truck installed it and waited to check for leaks. Great customer service. Even the lady I talked to when scheduling my appointment was nice and knowledgeable.

This company did a really great job on my leak - they were thorough and did come back to repair again when the same pipe sprung a different leak.  The technician Sean was both polite and extremely knowledgeable.  Once done he had his drying team contact me for an appointment to dry my walls so that mold/mildew couldn't set in.

Needlessly said I would definitely recommend this company to any of my friends or relatives.

A Total responded to an AHS policy work order we requested for a leaking bathtub drain. The issue ended up being a leaking overflow. The so called plumber ordered the parts, but no one bothered to call me to schedule another appointment.

I had to call A-Total twice to get the appointment scheduled a week later than what had been discussed.

After a few hours, he supposedly had fixed the problem. We tested the bathtub the next day and found that the drain, when closed, was leaking past the plunger so that water would not stay in the bathtub. We didn't even have this problem prior to A-Total coming to repair it.

I decided to take the overflow cover off to take a look and adjust the plunger if possible. I found plumbers putty completely clogging the inside of the overflow cover. He had not fixed our leak. In fact, he created a safety issue by completely disabling our overflow for the tub. After $25 worth of parts, I fixed it correctly myself with a new overflow gasket and plunger, which is what I thought A Total did. This repair was dishonest and unsafe. Thanks A-Total.

I would be leary of this plumbing company.
Their plumber came to repair a leaking toilet.  When he discovered the tank was leaking, he called my home warranty company and told them it wasn't caused by 'normal wear and tear'...???  I think that's their code for the home warranty company to not cover the repair.  A porcelain toilet tank leaks from the inside bottom corner, plumber states it could be a bad porcelain pour, but he said it's not normal wear and tear. .??
He went to get a new tank and came back with a whole new toilet. After I spoke with my home warranty company and found they wanted a second opinion before covering the replacement, I told the plumber I didn't want the toilet installed.  He quickly offered to replace for less money than he originally quoted the warrant company. He certainly removed the original toilet quickly while I was on the phone with warranty company..and then said he would put it back but not hook it back up if I didn't want th new toilet.

Not a good way of doing business. I think their goal is to get in the house, state the problem is 'not normal wear and tear', then try and charge customer for the repair instead of having the warranty company cover it.

I called A-Total Plumbing to repair a couple of leaky outdoor faucets for my Mother in Marietta in preparation for the freezing weather headed our way.  Ray Clackum was the plumber who responded and we are very happy with his work.  He was professional and friendly and exceedingly polite to my Mother which is always appreciated.  He arrived on time for the scheduled appointment and replaced one of the leaky faucets with a new, freeze proof faucet which required cutting through a bedroom wall to access the pipes.  He discovered the pipe was not properly insulated inside the wall so he corrected the insulation issue as well as replacing the faucet and patching the wall and left the workspace in the bedroom clean and tidy after completing his work.  The other faucet is in a location that would require cutting through bathroom tile work to access the pipe and replace it with a freeze proof faucet and my Mother didn't want him to do that.  As a short term fix he was able to repair the existing leaky faucet without opening the wall and recommended an insulating faucet cover for protection from the coming freeze.  No faucet covers were available locally as all of the stores were sold out so he drove for 2 hours round trip to the nearest store that had them to get a couple of them for us.  Excellent customer service from a friendly, conscientious, competent plumber warrants a 5 star rating for Ray Clackum from A-Total Plumbing.

Home owners beware! I purchased new appliances last year and requested a plumber to install my stove and dishwasher in December 2022. The technician pressured me into purchasing a membership for service and discounts. The technician used TACTICS to consult with his manager to make me feel as if I were getting the best deal possible and taking advantage of me as a first time homeowner. The technician Ted was sloppy across the board. He was lacking professionally, time management, installation process, and mannerism. He wasn't prepared with his equipment, used our tools from our garage, and he made sloppy mistakes with the temperature control. I knew in my heart something wasn't right when he couldn't successfully complete the installation and revisited my home on 3 occasions. December 12th, 14th and 20th in 2022. Even during the sensitive holiday of Christmas, the technician scams clients by feeding fear of failing in your home.

After the complimentary water heater flush service that was forced on me, not even 6 months later I have brown water leaks in my garage with a water heater that had NO prior issues before with no complaints on anything.

Update June 2023, I'm forced out of pocket to purchase a new water heater (over $2000) on top of the $2000 service charge in less than 6 month timeframe on an issue I never had before A Total Plumbing tampered with my water heater.

My word of advice is to please avoid a total plumbing. They will over sell, under deliver, and damage your property.

This plumber comes out and tells me the odor in our bathroom is the result of a pipe in the wall being pierced when a mirror was hung.  The mirror was hung 15 years ago with glue! A second plumber came out and told us it was the p trap in the bathtub.  This guy just didn't want to do his job!

I had a technician named Tommy come to my home and he did a fantastic job. He was in and out in about 45 minutes. I had an issue with my water line for refrigerator and he told me what I needed to fix it. He also told me that I could install a food disposal even though I have a septic system. I wish all the plumbers were as helpful as he was. He was honest, and respectful. I will recommend these guys to friends and family.

A-Total Plumbing was sent out to our home by our home warranty company to repair a leak under our kitchen sink.  They contacted us within a few hours and set up the appointment, and were right on time for it.  To repair the leak, the repairman tightened the seal around the garbage disposal but then determined that it was actually the result of an existing crack in the bottom of our sink, which was made of granite.  Unfortunately, before we could get the crack addressed, somehow, he pulled off the granite front of our sink.  Although we thought this was going to be a disaster, he and his boss Richard arranged for an excellant stone repairman to come out the next day, and he was able to repair the front of the sink as well as the crack in the bottom of the sink, at no further cost to us.  As a result, our sink is now better than before, and we are happy with the result.  All involved followed through and resolved our issues.  They seem to be honest and caring business-people.

This company is an outright con-job who wants to take your money and run.

We needed a on/off handle replaced on our water intake in our laundry room (which is a minor repair) which is covered under our home owner's policy.  A representative from this company came out and took a quick look at the broken handle and asked for our $75 payment (policy fee) before he even contacted our home policy stating they would want to know that we paid in advance (odd, never had this happen).  He then proceeded to contact the home policy company and said the damage was caused by us and not the normal wear and tear of time, which it was.

Next thing I know, he comes back and says that it was denied but here is an estimate for $500, if you want us to do the job.  I told him I wanted to contact the home owner's policy company to discuss getting the job approved and asked that he wait for me to do this.  The guy said that he didn't have time and was out the door with my $75 and said if I want to use his service to call.  We feel that he lied to our HOP to purposely get the project denied so he could charge us $500 for them to do the minor repair.

When we contacted A-Total corporate office to discuss the matter, the company just put the phone down and we could hear noise in the background as though they were ignoring our concerns or didn't care.

We had another plumbing company come out that actually listened to what happened and who confirmed that the problem was indeed due to normal wear and tear.  He quickly got the job approved with our home owners policy and he was able to fix the problem in less than an hour. The new plumber also said that this company is notorious for this scenario.

Run for the hills.....

Needless to say this was an extremely bad experience with this company and if you have a home owner's policy and they recommend using this company, don't waste your time as they will try to get your project denied and try to sell you on their expensive service that another plumber could do at a fraction of the cost and with far more professionalism.

Guy are really nice and cordial but way to expensive . Job consisting of installing two ball valves two 90degree Drop ear fittings and two hose bibs for a total cost of 726.90 is way over priced in my book . The fact that it is a flat price with no breakdown of parts and labor is even more wrong . I am sorry but I can not recommend this company  .

Update
Spoke with Jake this young man really does care about his company and I wish him much success in speaking with him we addressed the charges and my concerns . I must admit not to many owner or owner representatives reach out to address the concerns of the client ,and for that I rose their status to three stars . Thought at this moment I cannot recommend the company due to cost . I do hope it will not be cost prohibitive in the future . They are a very respectful bunch .

When given a 4 hour window, you don't expect them to show up TWO HOURS early.  But they did and it was AWESOME. It saved me time from work and of course took care of the problem that much quicker.  Gene was VERY professional, but very nice, and pleasant to be around while he worked.  He came in, got the job done and was gone in far less time than I had expected.  And yes....the job was done right, professionally and up to code (which it previously was not).  He took the extra time to make sure it was right and show me how the break had happened, and what he did to fix and prevent it from happening again.
I never enjoy having to call a plumber, but I am glad I got these guys this time!

As part of our AHS home warranty, A-Total plumbing was sent to assist us with a shower faucet. Previously, AHS sent Best Way and they did nothing. Best Way had horrible customer service. On the other hand, Darrell with A-Total Plumbing was AWESOME! They were able to help us out same day. Darrell called ahead to clarify the issue and let me know he was on his way. Once he arrived, he quickly identified the issue and installed the replacement part in 15 minutes. He explained what he did and showed me how to make any tweaks to the water temperature on the faucet. A-Total should be the exclusive plumbing company that AHS home warranty uses going forward. I will recommend them to anyone with plumbing issues going forward.

**Updating: They contacted us within an hour of my posting the original review. While I still don't agree with the up-selling sales tactics (to use the analogy they gave us; a heart transplant being prescribed for high blood pressure) or inflexible pricing, I do think they care about their customers, and are extremely responsive. Scott, who did the estimate, was on time (early!) and very professional as well.
In the end, they fixed my biggest complaint, so giving them back stars for their customer service.**

Came out to quote a small leak (not even a drip, just moisture) in a copper pipe junction. Pipe is in an unfinished basement, so fully exposed, not hard to get to. First quoted $21k for a full replumb of my house (LOL!) and then to over $1k to replace what wasn't leaking, then to $699 for the junction piece itself. I asked him how long he thought it would take. He said an hour to an hour and a half. $700!
He called his manager who offered me $30 off for being a first time customer. Nice enough people, but I feel like I was cheated out of paying for an estimate ($60) for the absurd price I was quoted.

I wish I could give this company 10 stars. I was in desperate need of a plumber and found A-Total Plumbing thru HomeAdvisor. Their expert plumber Brad was at my home in less than 1 1/2 hours and had the hot water tank leak fixed in a little over 2 hours. This was 2 hours sooner than my initial appointment time.

They did not take advantage of my predicament and gave me a fair price for the job. I was even more impressed that this is an honest company by the superb customer service that I received from everyone. Honest, professional, quality, kind, fair...there's not enough adjectives to describe this company and their people.

Thank you! You have a lifetime customer.

Pros arrived within 1/2 hour of call . My hot water relief valve was flushing hot water like crazy . After explanation of issue tech Stuart determined that the water pressure was way too high and  was causing problems . I had planned on replacing valve and expansion tank myself per instructions on Youtube to save money but just as on videos they confirmed high water pressure was a possible cause so I  called the pros and they replaced the water input  pressure valve and not the functional relief valve.. I have seen Yelp reviews complaining A-Total techs rip people off for unnecessary work but I would hazard to say that is only ignorance of the real issues involved . Was not happy about about paying premium amount rather than just parts but who is when paying for needed work rather than paying for wanted toys .

A piece of a faucet broke off while I was using it in an ordinary mariner. The home warranty company sent A-Total Plumbing. I had some of the same issues as other reviewers.

Gene showed up an hour early, when no one was home.  This was aggravating and defeats the purpose of an appointment, but was not a huge deal.

The real problem was that Gene told the home warranty company that the piece did not break off as the result of normal wear and tear.  The piece broke off while I was using it ordinarily and as it was intended to be used.   That literally is the definition of wear and tear.

I would avoid these people going forward.

We just received a $7,000 water bill and almost died from shock. No evidence of a leak anywhere in the house but called A-Total Plumbing to come out and check everything. John was our technician and he was thorough, polite and committed to finding an answer. he checked everything in the house and started digging holes & investigating outside all around the house to find source. Turned out to be a broken hose bib outside almost invisible because it was behind a big rock fountain in a garden bed. We are so grateful. John was helpful, courteous and very professional. We will use A-Total as our plumber from now on.

When A-Total came out the first time, the technician cut the copper pipe that went from our hot water heater to the sump too short, and it was blocking our crawlspace door from opening. In order for me to open our door, I had to step on the pipe. When I mentioned that the pipe was too short, he didn't offer to fix it.

When I got a call for my feedback a week later, I let them know that. They apologized and sent the same technician back to my house. He fixed it and everything is good. I appreciated their willingness to make things right.

WORST plumbing company I've ever seen or experienced anywhere... called them to do some plumbing work in a bathroom, that any decent plumber with knowledgeable techs would be able to do and not cost the price of a new car... This company's solution was to re-plumb my entire house, revamp the well system, and change out the hot water heater to the tune of $16,500! They're literally off their rockers. Highway robbery is this company's motto. STAY AWAY!

A-Totally  incompetent. I had a slab leak and called my home warranty company who referred me to them. I have grey poly pipes in my house and had several previous leaks. The guy who came out told me I'd have to get my kitchen cabinets torn out so he could come in with leak detection equipment and quoted me a price of $3500.00.  With all the construction costs it would have run about $5000 to have one leak fixed.  My sister referred me to Plumbing by Design (those guys are awesome).  Tony came out and after hearing about all the previous leaks recommended that I have the entire house repiped. He quoted me $5800.00 for the entire house. He also installed two new toilets that I purchased and only charged an additional $200 to install the new ones and dispose of the old ones. When I showed him the quote from A total he started laughing and said they are notorious for being a rip off and couldn't  believe they didn't recommend a repipe. Especially since we had so many previous leaks. He told me that if I had just had that leak fixed it would only have been a band aid and I would have had another leak at some point. He said that any plumber who knows what's up should have known that . Stay away from these guys. They don't know what they're doing and only want to get as much money out of you as they can.

Robert from A-Total Services was awful. I was assigned this company through my also terrible home warranty company, AHS. I had a problem with water not getting hot enough at one sink. He turns up the water heater, but all that did was make all the other faucets scalding. So that wasn't a fix to my problem - it just relocated the problem to all other rooms of the house. I also had a leaking sink sprayer and needed a new hose/sprayer. He tells me the hot water faucet handle is stripped and that made the faucet not covered under warranty as that was not normal wear and tear (The screw was barely stripped and quite simple for anyone to remove). Instead of just ordering me a new sprayer which is all I needed, he tried telling me that the faucet was so old that it was too hard to find a replacement (it wasn't - I was able to quickly find one online) and he told the warranty company that I needed an entire faucet rather than just a new sprayer (which I didn't) but that the stripped screw made the order invalid. This technician was completely shady and clearly only there for his service fee. I'm seeing from other reviewers that they pull the not normal wear and tear line pretty often.

I called out this company and the tech was great. Very honest and professional. When I got the estimate it thru me for a loop. 3500.00 for replacing the kitchen drain line from kitchen to main drain. They were replacing it with PVC and it might take one guy 4 to 6 hours. But lets say I give two guys 8 hours each at 50.00 per hour.  I shop Home depot all the time guaranteed the PVC would be no more than 200.00. So lets double it to 400.00 That's 1200.00  That leaves 2300.00 for gross profit on the job. I just think that is about double for what it should be. I don't mind paying  reasonable rates. These guys are making more than my attorney. I'm not going to get ripped like that. Just use a little common sense when people give you an estimate. Check out the other reviews. Not doing to good for them on reviews. Sorry guys I'll give you my Attorneys address maybe he has that kind of money. I damn sure don't. Just be reasonable and you can work for most people. Don't try to make it all on one person for a day. Guess I'll do it my self and I'll bet I get it done for less than 400.00 paying my self for labor.

Horribleeeeeeee company. My brother found this company because they could come right away. I told him always look at reviews for this reason. The guy I believe name is Eric was horrible he didn't know what he was doing.  He asked us if we had a step ladder? You're the plumber where is your tools? He never told any of us in the house to not use the water while he went outside. So water came flooding out the 2nd floor guest bathroom spilling all on the wood because someone used the toilet in the house.
He end up cutting the water off and said he would bring a snake machine first thing in the morning. We went to a hotel to take a shower and to have a useable bathroom.
He came at 10am the next day and left at 7pm saying he couldn't fix the problem and left us with another day with no water and our resolution. He had the nerve to ask for $200 for his time and effort!!!FUXK you! You're not getting a damn thing from us but this tip of $45. Another company came the next day and in 30 minutes fixed the problem. DO NOT USE horrible horrible the owner Rick was just as horrible didn't care at all he cares about money.

I called this company, provided them with extreme detail on what service was needed (replacement of a hot water heater), and I blocked out two days on my very busy work schedule to be able to meet them to replace this.  They came to my house, inspected the problem, left to make a quote, and came back only to say that their insurance did not cover them to work above the 3rd floor.  I understand this completely -- what I don't understand is that I took 2 days off of work, they had my address, unit number and problem -- and now I'm left right where I was before.  With no hot water.  For a company that has such outstanding reviews, I have never had such a poor experience. This is something that I should have been alerted to PRIOR to scheduling the appointment

Caught SCAMMING Homeowners !!! It seems I'm having the same problem that some of the other customers that have dealt with this company before.  May 4th 2017 they arrived at my home and stated that I needed a new water heater and expansion tank. They contacted my home warranty and told them the same.  The warranty company made sure the water heater was available the same day. The plumbing company told me that I had to pay for the expansion tank, which I was OK with me, I just asked for an invoice to know what I am paying for.  On May 12, I call the plumbing company since they have not contacted me or arrive to fix the problem. I spoke with Robin who was more than helpful, she said she would look into it. She stated that the universe was marked as completed. Strange that no repair has actually been completed as of yet. After my conversation with Robin, my warranty company received another phone call from this plumbing company stating that the item that needs replacing and is now a valve, not the water heater. Supposedly, this valve is not even covered. But why would a diagnosis for the technician change eight days later after everything was ordered and ready to go eight days prior? Robin did tell me that answer without knowing it, they have not gotten paid from the warranty company as of yet. So they want me to go ahead and pay for a repair that may or may not even be necessary, since they have not gotten paid from the warranty company.  Today I spoke with Felicia the owner who was rude and just told me that her technician had notes that the valve and not the water heater needed replacing. I asked her about the prior diagnosis for when the technician was actually at my home, before changing his diagnosis immediately after  me making a phone call on May 12th and she would not discuss it.

This is simply a case of a plumbing company trying to use home warranties to get into someone's house to get you to pay for something that may or may not be broken.  They did a good job of chasing down the wallet, not the problem. I don't trust these people. And I advise anyone under these circumstances to stay away.

I am thoroughly disappointed in the customer service I received today when calling A-Total  Plumbing. I called to follow up on a warranty claim that was assigned to them. To be fair - I had talked to Parker on two other occasions and had received service from Thuy prior to today. Both were pleasant experience.

I cannot remember the name of the person I spoke with today, but she identified herself as both the manager and the owner. I couldn't verify that information on their website, because there isn't any info identifying the managers or owners.

I called (a third time) to verify that they received the ticket. She said they had not. I communicated that the warranty people said to call them directly to receive the info. She told me that she could not do that. That is when I asked to speak to a manager or someone who could. She said she was the manager and that she didn't have time to sit on the phone with the warranty company. I then offered to call the warranty company on three-way because, as I indicated to her, they both were saying that it was a glitch on the other person's end, and I being in the middle couldn't solve that without them talking directly. I don't know if she was overwhelmed or just having a bad day, but this woman became hostile, told me that they don't get paid enough to sit on the phone, that warranty jobs don't get paid enough to even go through all the trouble.

This is really unfortunate because, as I said, I had pleasant experiences with Parker and Thuy prior to being on the phone with this manager/owner. When Thuy came out to fix the first issue, he was pleasant and kind. When I spoke to Parker on the phone a few days prior, he was the one who helped me name the second issue that needs fixing and told me to file a second claim. I really do hope that the manager/owner was just having a bad day (it happens to us all) because she really did not care at all about customer service. And a tip: if you dont have time and don't make enough to go through the trouble of working with warranty companies, then perhaps don't take service contracts with warranty companies.

I live in an old home in Midtown. American Home Shield was incompetent, Estes refused the job then by some miracle I got a postcard from A-Total Plumbing saying they were doing work in the area. I called them and they did a fantastic job. They replaced a toilet even though that was not on the list but I had f..... it up by trying to do self repairs. I now feel like they added value to my home. They will come back if needed. I am extremely satisfied with their service. I would call them back for other odd tasks. Very satisfied.

I will begin by saying that Dustin from A Total has restored my faith in plumbers. I'm skeptical, have a lot of knowledge in home repairs and contracting, and know when I'm being ripped off. Dustin provided a fair quote, followed through with the work he was to complete, and was timely and friendly.

Dustin came out to give me a quote on a broken water main line on Thursday. I had mentioned to Dustin that I'm fairly handy and that I was planning on doing the project. I told Dustin that I could dig out the area to expose the pipe but I wasn't entirely sure how to fix it. Dustin made sure I was comfortable digging the project and quoted me two different prices - one if he were to dig it, one if I were. He assured me that he would be available throughout the weekend and to give the company a call when I was ready for him to come out to finish the project.

After a couple hours of digging on Friday, I gave the company a call and requested Dustin come out on Saturday. Dustin gave me a call that night to confirm the time and what I'd be able to complete.

Dustin showed up Saturday at the time he specified; giving me a heads up me prior to arriving.

Dustin drained the hole that had filled with water and was able to pinpoint the leak - having to do a little extra digging to expose the area that needed to be completed.

Although Dustin did not have the pipe fitting in his truck and had to run to the hardware store, he did not charge me for the extra time spent.

The work was completed in a timely manner and Dustin kept true to the plans he had set forth to fix the pipe. He was able to explain what he was doing and why.

I trust the work was completed well enough that there will be no further problems. If I experience any issues, I will be sure to update this review.

Thanks Dustin for being on time, professional, and friendly.

Richard, the owner, called to offer his apologies and to rectify the issue, sending a manager to review the previous technician's work.  Richard was courteous and sincere.  As I stated in my previous post, their customer service is unmatched.  I appreciate the follow up and his dedication to continuous improvement.

Our warranty company, American home Shield, sent A-Total Plumbing out to fix a slow drain in a 50 year old house. The guy showed up on time, but said that he did not have the right tool, because it was such an old house. Well, in Smyrna, most houses are the same age. He should have had the tool.

Then we had to wait two more days with no way to take a shower for him to come back. When he did, he tried, but could not clear the drain. He said that it had been plumbed backwards, and that he needed to cut out the cast iron drain lines and re-plumb it. I do not know whether he was incompetent or trying to conjure a higher repair bill.

American Home Shield wanted another opinion, and sent Joe the Plumber with Rescue Rooter Atlanta. Joe had it cleared within 20 minutes, no re-plumbing necessary. I could also tell by his expressions that he seemed to think the guy from A-Total was a fool.

Joe was in and out, and we all got to take a shower that same afternoon. He was great; I would NEVER call A-Total Plumbing to fix anything at my house.

Update to my previous review:  Actual Job was done fast and efficient and we did receive a call from the Owner of the company apologizing for the lack of communication between his employees and us.   Owner fixed the situation.

Well I have to say I gave them a raving review because they came to my aid when I needed somebody .It's been a week and a half or so later and I do have a leak underneath my sink . I did not reach out to them to let them know that I had the same problem that they supposedly fixed. I guess they saw my review and I was called and told that they would be happy to come back out at no charge and see what the problem is. I did not accept this because I've already called my usual plumber and made an appointment. However I give them kudos for having offered to come back and fix it.

David was incredible! He called me to tell me he was on his way to my appointment EARLY, which was fantastic. The level of concern for my disruption that he expressed over the phone was genuine, and much appreciated. I suspected a pumping leak, he cut a hole in the ceiling and found the root of the problem right away. It was an easy fix, which the other company that was called out before (ARS) did not even notice, or check for. As a result, my ceiling is damaged, but I'm happy that the leak was fixed. I would absolutely recommend David and his work. He was professional, friendly, and knowledgeable about what he was doing.

They were great! I had my water heater bust all over the basement, and they got me a new water heater the SAME DAY they came! In addition, I was working with a Home warranty company (which usually takes forever), and they made sure the water heater was ordered, so they could go pick it up right away.. Extremely Professional technician, overall great experience.

Devoreaux was great, he came in and fixed an issue that was left by another plumbing company. He knocked it out the park with his service and the answering of numerous questions ( by my brother in law ). I will definitely use him again! Thanks Devoreaux.

We woke up to a soggy yard with water gushing out to the street.  So we called A Total Plumbing and they were extremely accommodating. Scheduled a tech to come out a few hours.  Devoreaux came out and inspected the damage.  Then gave me 3-4 options with repairs and gave me all the pros and cons and pricing for each option.  Extremely professional and thorough.  I hope I don't have to call a plumber again, but if I do I will be calling A Total Plumbing and asking for Devoreaux.

Joe the plumber arrived as scheduled. I was very impressed by his professionalism. He wore shoe covers, tidied up the area when he was done working, explained things thoroughly, and showed me what to do in the event the same issue occurred. Would absolutely hire him again and would highly recommend

The plumber came out way past the scheduled time. My scheduled time was 2-7pm. He calls at 8 to let me know he's on the way and I wait until 9 when he arrives. I was so desperate to get my leak fixed and was leaving town that I just dealt with it.

He was apologetic...ok...excused. But he tells me my work isn't covered under my home warranty company because a non plumber was assisting me in shutting my water off. Then goes on to tell me that it looked like some non-plumber also installed the work below under my kitchen sink. I just moved in a few months ago so I was clueless as to who did what.

I let him know that I had someone shut my water off to STOP the leak and I wouldn't know anything about what anyone else did before I became a resident. He then proceeds to LAUGH at me. As if the words coming out of my mouth was a lie. Also felt quite condescending. When I looked clearly pissed off...he tells me he was joking. So you're super late and you come into my home to insult me and my intelligence. Basically, like the other reviews-scams to get more money. Had it not been covered the work would come out of my pockets.  Had I'd be gullible, he'd probably gotten the cash. Not a good company and makes me wonder why I even use my home warranty if these are the type of people they contract with. This has to be the only way they make money because I can't imagine why any one would ever consult with them for professional courteous business.

I employed A-Total Plumbing to install a freestanding tub and faucet. They charged me $850 for the work. After coming out twice, the work was still not done and I ended up paying another company half the price to reinstalling the same tub.

After A-Total Plumbing installed the tub, it was sitting off the floor with no silicone or glue at the base. When I asked why was that and that I was afraid the tub flip over with me in it, they said it was because of the type of tub and there was no way to sit the tub close to the floor because the legs wouldn't allow it. After arguing with the two guys doing the install for sometime, they placed silicone on the legs of the tub instead of around the entire tub.

Several weeks later the tub began to move. I called them back out and explained again that they needed to lower the tub and place silicone around the entire based of the tub however they continued to tell me that there was no way for them to do that because the tub's legs could not be lowered. They even gave me an impossible story that lowering the legs would cause the tub to break.

Several months later the tub snapped off, flooding my bathroom with water. I had to pay another company another $500 to properly install the tub.

I believe what happened was, they had forgotten to measure and lower the tub to the floor prior to installing the tub. They did not want to uninstall the tub from he pipes to go back and lower the tub. Although these guys were nice, I can't recommend their work.

Ernie Latimer was the most rude, aggressive and antagonistic service person I think I have ever met. He came into my home barely glancing at my issue both inside and outside took less than five minutes.  He then was very argumentative with the customer service person, Tiffany, from American home Shield warranty regarding whether or not this was covered.  Without looking at my coverage he insisted from the beginning of the call this was not covered. Initially, Tiffany said it WAS covered after asking, what I thought were very pertinent questions. Four separate times he insisted in a loud and aggressive voice this is not covered. He brow beat her to the point where he asked to speak to her supervisor. Once she said it was covered for the third time (after establishing the access was not covered) Ernie stated he was going to call his owner to tell him it was not a covered item. Once he asked for a supervisor and threatened to call his owner,  he convinced her that this was not a covered item. He was confrontational with Tiffany and then when he got off the phone  with Tiffany he started in with the same confrontational tone me because I had already started calling my husbands number to tell him what the situation was and he started getting louder and louder with me trying to talk over my conversation with my husband. He thrn throws the paper at me telling me to sign. I said I'm not signing anything today and to get out of my house.  He yelled at me all the way to the door stating I was just pissed it wasn't covered. It was covered. He brow beat the customer service rep until she changed her initial decision regarding coverage.  She even tried to give him an authorization number and he wouldn't take it. It was the most antagonistic visit I have ever had by a service person.  It took 30 minutes for me to stop shaking after he left as this man was so aggressive. I will never ever have this man or this company in my home again.

Not sure where to start with this one but I'll make it short and sweet. Called to get estimate to reseat toilet as per the home inspection. I informed the tech that we're moving in 30 days and need the toilet re-seated and tightened. I was going to do the job but the new owner requested a receipt from a certified plumbing provider.

I informed the tech that we're moving so we just need the toilet inspected and tightened up. He asked if he could check the water pressure, I said sure. Then he said, give him a second while he write up the estimate. Twenty minutes later he came back with a total estimate, NOW GET THIS! of $3400.00. That's right, three thousand, four hundred DOLLARS! Sooooo yeah. another $49.00 dollar tip down the tubbs. Please don't waste your time with this place.

A-Total was a great company, and an experience like no other. Gene came out gave many options for the repair of my water heater and didnt push unnecessary replacements on my three year old tank. Can't believe the experience of professional standards they carried to be so high. Thanks A-Total for the quick response and options.
