I am thoroughly disappointed in the customer service I received today when calling A-Total Plumbing. I called to follow up on a warranty claim that was assigned to them. To be fair - I had talked to Parker on two other occasions and had received service from Thuy prior to today. Both were pleasant experience.
I cannot remember the name of the person I spoke with today, but she identified herself as both the manager and the owner. I couldn't verify that information on their website, because there isn't any info identifying the managers or owners.
I called (a third time) to verify that they received the ticket. She said they had not. I communicated that the warranty people said to call them directly to receive the info. She told me that she could not do that. That is when I asked to speak to a manager or someone who could. She said she was the manager and that she didn't have time to sit on the phone with the warranty company. I then offered to call the warranty company on three-way because, as I indicated to her, they both were saying that it was a glitch on the other person's end, and I being in the middle couldn't solve that without them talking directly. I don't know if she was overwhelmed or just having a bad day, but this woman became hostile, told me that they don't get paid enough to sit on the phone, that warranty jobs don't get paid enough to even go through all the trouble.
This is really unfortunate because, as I said, I had pleasant experiences with Parker and Thuy prior to being on the phone with this manager/owner. When Thuy came out to fix the first issue, he was pleasant and kind. When I spoke to Parker on the phone a few days prior, he was the one who helped me name the second issue that needs fixing and told me to file a second claim. I really do hope that the manager/owner was just having a bad day (it happens to us all) because she really did not care at all about customer service. And a tip: if you dont have time and don't make enough to go through the trouble of working with warranty companies, then perhaps don't take service contracts with warranty companies.
