Modern Plumbing Industries, Inc. is a family owned and operated company that was founded in 1975 by Frank Bracco, who started MPI out of the back of his car. Since this humble beginning, we have made a commitment to deliver quality products and services to the greater Central Florida community. We had only two customers in that first year, but by 1979, we had 10 employees and dozens of customers in the Orlando area. We also officially named the company Modern Plumbing and Irrigation that year and soon added US Homes to our list of prominent customers. By 1980, we added site development and equipment in order to meet demands of residential communities. In the years immediately following, our workforce increased to nearly 70 employees to match production of approximately 600 residential homes per year. By 1985 our areas of expertise had grown to include residential plumbing, irrigation, site development, and fire protection. MPI continued to grow so rapidly that by 1989 we had to relocate to 255 Old Sanford Oviedo Road, an office front with an attached warehouse. Because of the surge in growth and demand, we made the decision that same year to focus exclusively on plumbing and piping for commercial, institutional and custom-built residential homes. In 1990, Modern Plumbing Industries implemented profit sharing as a means of distributing part of the company's financial success to the employees who made it possible...

We had a clogged drain in our shower, followed the next day by a clogged sink in the kitchen. Saw all the great reviews about Modern Plumbing, so I gave them a call. They showed up early, were professional, quoted a price before they started any work, and completed the drain clean out in little time. Very professional, I will definitely use them again!

They were extremely professional. I liked the fact that they included me in the app so I knew when the technician would arrive. They are not super cheap just to be honest. But I think it was nice if they gave me options after they charge me for the leak detection. Overall I would recommend them
I needed to have a plumber come to fix my leaking shower. I explained the situation and sent pictures. I was keeping the water on and off but I wanted someone to come NOT during emergency hours and give me an estimate. They could only schedule me for an estimate in a week or more.
Today I met one of the most professional, on time, informative and just nice Plumbing Technicians around. His name is Taylor M. and he fixed my water heater. He not only came in and figured out my situation within minutes, he never said a bad word about the company that had originally did installed the unit. His comments where always on point and discussing what took place in the unit. He was a constant professional and I greatly appreciated his work ethic. He explained my options very clearly and made the process even better. Today, I learned my lesson about not going with a Florida LICENSED Company and as they say ... you do get what you pay for ... and I paid for one of the best today!

This company is robbing people.There price is too high.They gave me a estimate 882.51 but Roto Rooter gave me estimate 249.50.please don't give any job to them.Every company more better price than them.thanks
I leak behind the shower wall, so I called Modern Plumbing and they were able to provide same day appointment. David Nieves, the technician, arrived as schedule, quickly assessed the situation, provide a estimate as best as he could prior to opening the wall. He found exactly what he said was likely broken, made the necessary repairs. Cost of repair was very reasonable. I would trust them again. Much more professional then the hack plumber I used to install my garbage disposal who tried to snow me into re-running all house hold water lines through the ceiling as preemptive measure for $10,000. Call a professional, call Modern Plumbing. You will be happy you did.
Quick response and service availability. David Nieves was extremely professional and helpful. He kept me updated regarding his arrival time, and once he was on site, doing the work, he maintained open dialogue about the issues and the situation. He was working with my neighbor's unit as well to assess the root of the problem (water leak). As a tenant of my condo, he even reached out to my landlord to keep her updated of the situation. Dave was efficient, diligent and informative. I will definitely be contacting this company for my future plumbing needs. THANKS FOR THE SUPERB SERVICE!!!

Modern Plumbing did an amazing job! Abel was very friendly and professional. He explained everything that would need to be done to fix our tub and sink. The quote was easy to understand and he was able to complete the work right away. We have no issues since the repair and we are very happy with the results. The company values their customers and have great company ethics. I definitely would recommend Modern Plumbing and we will be using them in the future.

Had a leak in my kitchen sink that I wasn't sure where it was coming from. The plumber came over right on time and was a really nice guy. He found the issue in about 5 minutes and gave me multiple quotes for a few different ways of getting the job done. Will definitely use this service in the future.
Very professional. Wore mask and booties. Solved my problem in two visits. I would definitely hire again. Did not try to sell me on services i don't need and did their best to minimize costs for me.

That's true, these people are as good as it gets when it comes to plumbing. From the woman who took my initial call, to the actual people that came to fix my problem, they literally set the benchmark for professionalism, workmanship, and overall satisfaction. Rusty and Robert worked on my problem and had the job done so quickly that it was hardly an interruption to my day, and when they see they're going to be there at a specific time, they're are going to be there. Even though the price is a little sleep, the old adage stands true, You get what you pay for. This time I paid for peace of mind. I now have my plumber for life in Central Florida. Keep up the good work.
James and company came, saw, and took names later! In like an hour flat, they had deciphered the issue with, and replaced our hot water heater. All looks great and tidy and we have hot water again. Laurie and team in the office were great on follow ups to the appointment. Highly recommended.

Can't say enough great things about our experience yesterday with Modern Plumbing and our service tech, Dusty! We had a very serious emergency septic tank issue on Sunday afternoon. After waiting for over almost 2 hours for call-back/appointment ETA from Emerald Plumbing (came us as #1 on Yelp), we tried Modern Plumbing (which came up for us as #2.)
Modern Plumbing confirmed an on-call tech immediately, who called minutes later and arrived 25 minutes after our first phone call. We were worried we might be looking at a complete septic tank replacement and a night at a hotel for toilet/shower needs. Instead, Dusty was done in LESS THAN ONE HOUR and completely fixed our issue. Not only that, while he was there he also fixed another clogged drain so that we'd be completely all set.
He was speedy, friendly, helpful and professional. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Thank you Modern Plumbing and Dusty. As we said yesterday, you are our hero!
Financially, they proactively let us know on the first phone call that we were looking at $100 more because it was a Sunday - which we appreciated. It was $350 total for auggering the septic tank pipe and draining/clearing shower pipes.
Insurance, may be good to know also - Modern Plumbing is insured and bonded for doing roof work - many others don't want to liability but he was up there and working on it minutes after arrival.
4 Stars. Have hired them twice. They were on time, flexible, knowledgeable, and kept the area clean while working. The only thing keeping me from giving them 5 stars was how expensive they are. I'm not sure if they pack the price hoping for you to negotiate or if their prices are set in stone, so it could be our fault for not negotiating. Nevertheless, I needed the work done ASAP and didn't negotiate. That being said, this is by far the best plumbing company I've worked with, but I would say that they are on the very high side when it comes to value.
This plumber, specifically Jason Getts, was helpful and thorough. He discovered the shoddy job of the prior plumber, fixed the leak, found another issue, fixed that, did a little extra for me, Gave me excellent advice on picking a toilet. He was so good I thought he was the owner. Highly recommended.

We had a few issues at our house. Modern plumbing sent out a professional to assess and quite a price. I really loved Taylor and the other young man who came to finish the work. It looks great and now o have peace of mind. I recommend this company 150%!
We have used Modern Plumbing on many occasions and never have had a complaint
with their work or professionalism. Today Joseph and Steven came out for what we thought was our plumbing to the street and promptly found the problem was with the city's line.
Joseph and Steven were both professional and friendly not to mention thorough.
This company was a pleasure to work with! Mike showed up exactly on time, neat and professional. Took care of replacing our leaking hot water heater and it's peripherals, cleaned up and left us with an excellent and skillfully installed system. A rare pleasure!
I was referred to this company by my neighbor and had the pleasure of getting David Nieves for my technician. I was more than pleased with his service. As he went through my home and inspected it, he taught me about my plumbing and where to find issues and things to keep in mind for the future. Being a first time home buyer, this I was amazing!! Every time I've had a plumber come out, they fix my issue and give me a bill. David taught me as he was fixing my issue. They also have a wonderful annual value plan that is less than 100$ a year and can save you 15% on future plumbing problems and/or upgrades. I will forever be using Modern Plumbing and hope to see David in the future!
Highly recommend. Great service from the initial phone call to schedule to the end. Tech (Joseph) is very knowledgable and answered all of my questions, professional and nice. As you know, there are always windows of time for the appointment. Joseph contacted me to let me know he hadn't forgotten about me ( and he was still in his time window, so he wasn't running late) and where he was at with his prior appointments. I appreciated the update. His work was professional and honest. I have him coming back to complete the additional work that needs to be done since I had to get the septic tank drained before it could be completed. Thanks.
I was told I needed a new water heater from another plumber. Abel at Modern Plumbing Industries came out same day (actually just hours after I called) and correctly diagnosed the issue and made repairs on the spot. I did not need a new water heater.
I will be calling Modern Plumbing Industries first next time I need a Florida Plumber, their honesty saved me at least $1,000.

I just needed someone to come out and show me where the shut off valve was since I'm going out of town. Other companies were trying to charge me $49 for a 5 minute visit, but these guys came out and showed me free of charge! I like a company that doesn't try and nickel and dime you. Will call them again if I have any other plumbing concerns for sure! Nice and courteous technician.
I seldom write reviews because I am too emotional when service people do a terrible job and I don't want to be extreme. So, this is a review for a job that was done a year ago. I needed plumbing work done and the original plan was not working out, so the apprentice plumber had to tell the plumber on the job what to do. (Oh boy). Well, it worked out. I am happy that it did because this company is not cheap. The only thing is that Plan B was a cheaper alternative, so I should have had a reduction on my bill. ( Did not get one!) I felt like I was cheated. This is the what got me really upset, the plumber went to the side of my house and urinated. I was livid. First of all, I live in less than a quarter mile from a fast food restaurant, and secondly, he was leaving, so he could have waited. I find that although the company may have a good reputation, some of their employees suck!
I have used this company exclusively for my plumbing needs for over 4 years. Always pleased. However, a few weeks ago we had them replace our 4 year old water heater (they had installed the 4 year old one, too). They seemed to do a fine job except prior to leaving, no one reminded us to open all of our faucets to let the air out of our pipes. This caused a horrible, long and high pitch noise when we opened a faucet soon after and I'm now very worried that our pipes were compromised from it.

After calling two local plumbers in Clermont that NEVER even returned voice mail messages, I called Modern Plumbing for service in Clermont for a non emergency plumbing issue and they scheduled us for the next afternoon. On the day of the service call we received an email with a picture of the plumber that was scheduled for our service and an approximate time that he was going to come to our house. When the plumber, Joseph arrived, he was very courteous and asked what the issue we were having. He then checked the plumbing in the entire house. He confirmed that our issue was with an old water softener that we then asked him to remove. The cost for the service call and removal of the water softener was much less than we expected.
Given this experience I would recommend Modern Plumbing to any of my friends and family in the Central Florida area.
After calling and searching through many plumbing services, I ended up selecting Modern Plumbing Industries due to all of the positive reviews. This is by far the best decision I made as my remodeling company's handy man who installed the new toilet did a poor job as my new toilet started to have issues only after an year. Alva from Modern Plumbing Industries came and diagnosed the problem and explained exactly why I was have a leak then went on to fix the problem. Alva not only was professional, he was also very transparent in explaining what I should look out for in the future if I am having issues. Additionally, he was very helpful in providing recommendation on what products I should get for my other bedroom's older toliet. I definitely recommend Modern Plumbing Industries for anyone looking for a trustworthy plumber and I look forward to working with them on my next few jobs for both my home and rental home.

So I had an appointment set for Monday and I had a leak that was getting worse. I had Modern Plumbing come out early because they were able to and I had Derick as the service tech. He spent about 1 hour at my house trying to find the source of my leak. Unfortunately, we couldn't find the source and believe it is not a plumbing issue but possibly a roof issue. I am having a company come out to check that, however if for some reason in the wall behind my dryer (in the laundry closet) there is a random pipe that needs to be fixed I will be calling back to request him. I have never had someone more down to earth, honest and patient come out for an early service call. I've never felt more comfortable having a tech come to my house as I did with Derick. I have no doubt he would live up to the 5 star standard if he was able to find the source of the leak. If by chance there is a magical pipe in the wall towards the ceiling of my laundry room that wasn't discovered in the attic, I will post another review of the completed work because I WILL have him fix it. This is the second time I have used Modern Plumbing to solve my problems. We had a second floor big leak and Taylor was just great. He came when scheduled and found the leak quickly and fixed it fast. He also replaced the roman tub fixtures on the tub that were over 24 years old and leaking. Very clean and professional in his work and advice. I will definitely use them again for my plumbing needs.
We're in the process of a new kitchen because of a leaky dishwasher. We were suppose to get a new water line to the ice maker hooked up tonight before dry wall starts tomorrow. The old one was cut in half. Tonight the plumber we use said he needed new parts and the job was more complicated than what he thought. My husband gave him $20.00. He left around 5:30. Our water was shut off and he left his tools here. I called him around 7:30. He said he had to go to the shop for tools and was on his way back. I called again at 8:30 he didn't answer I left a message telling him we were worried about him. I'm thinking our plumber has a drug and drinking problem. We hope he gets the help he needs.
The drywall people will be here at 8:00 am. We can't turn our water on because the pipes were left open. It's now 9:00 pm.
I started looking for emergency plumbers online. Then I went to Yelp. Read the reviews for Modern Plumbing Industries. When I called around 9:15 I spoke to a live person. She was wonderful and said she was going to make some calls and I'd hear from someone soon. I think it was the owner that called me. I told him the story he said he was sending Marc out. Marc called and said he'd be here within 20 minutes and he was. Marc is GREAT! He finished around 11:00 pm! Our water is on and part of our plumbing is working again.

My Father and I decided to change out the guest cabinet and sink today... six hours later (with various visits to the Home Depot - total waste of money there!) and there was still leaking from the pipes.. so the emergency call went out to a plumber. Marc from Modern Plumbing was my hero tonight. He called back promptly, told me what time he would be by the house and was totally on time about it.
Excellent work etiquette and very friendly, very straight up with what needed to be done and he was super at cleaning up after his work. I am so grateful for the work done tonight - super quick, awesome price and now I have plumbers I will call, and rely on, when I am ready to get my house re-piped.
We have an old house that now and then has blockage issues. Most times, we are able to snake it out ourselves, but this was not one of those times. I came to Yelp to find a good plumber, and the reviewers steered me in the right direction. The receptionist who took my call was friendly and helpful and called to alert me when the plumber was on his way.
Rusty arrived on time! He also was friendly, professional, fixed our blockage in under an hour, and without us having to take out a 2nd mortgage to pay for the service. When we re-pipe our old gal within the next few years, Modern Plumbing will be the company we call.

I live in New York. When my elderly father, who lives in Florida by himself, told me that his whole pipe system was clogged, I was afraid he was going to be ripped off by some plumbing company nobody heard of. I reached out to Modern Plumbing Industries because of their great Yelp reviews. They really lived up to their reputation.
Miguel and Vinni were very understanding of our situation and patiently helped my father understand what needed to be done. Miguel even faced time with me while he pushed the camera inside the pipe, so I was able to see what was happening in real time.
The price was fair, I was able to pay over the phone and I was charged exactly what what I was told when the evaluation was done.

Needed my bathtub faucet handle repaired and called modern plumbing industries. Had a great experience scheduling the appointment. After waiting 4 days (and numerous phone calls) for one of the big box stores to call me back to schedule an installation date for a new hot water heater, I gave up and called Modern Plumbing.
They were AWESOME! Friendly, knowledgable, responsive, great communication, quality work... AWESOME!
I called them at 11:30am and they had my new hot water heater installed by 3:30pm the same day!
Don't waste your time with anyone else.
Tried to shower last night and the handle broke off our shower, leaving the shower water on with no way of turning it off. A couple hours of my husband trying to fix it (and shutting off the water to the whole house), we decided to call an emergency plumber! The guy called us back within 10 mins and offered to come out late at night. We decided to wait until morning, and he was right on time, super friendly, and efficient. 2.5 hours later, I have to say, our shower works way better than it did before (which I didn't even realize it was a problem until he came out). The price was honestly way less than we were expecting too.
Thank God for the people who are willing to work emergencies like this during the weekend!
On 4/28/21 my hot water heater sopped working. I called my then Home Warranty company, and they could not fix it, On Monday 5/2/21 at 2:30 AM I awoke to a garage full of water, there was a leak beneath the floor of my house, at the garage entry, to a hallway, my kitchen and dining room of my house.I tried my then Home Warranty company and was dissatisfied with their plan to repair it.
My son put me in contact with James Kerr at Modern Plumbing. He came out reviewed my plumbing problems, and gave me a reasonable estimate to replace the water heater, and RePipe my house. He explained the different types of pipe to be used, and how his company would Re-Pipe my home. I signed the estimate to start repairs.
He sent a team on Monday 5/10/21 and completed the the Re-Pipe on Thurs. 5/13/21 with a team lead by-Crew leader Rusty Barnes, and team members Caleb Callin, and Mark Atherton. The team was very professional, answered any and all questions that I had, worked as cleanly as possible(as the had to cut holes in my walls), they wore shoe covers every time the entered the house.
Modern Plumbing has a quality control inspector(In House), that came and inspected each pipe and fixture connection, and made sure the pipes were mounted so as not to rattle with use.
On Monday 5/17/21, there drywall repairman(Arron McGrady) arrived to patch all of the holes in the drywall. He was very professional and patched all of the holes without creating anymore drywall dust. He finished on 5/19/21 and the wall were as smooth as silk. I had painters come the next day, and I cannot see where the patches were made.
I cannot say enough about the professional performance, quality of work, the Plumbing team and the their drywall techician.

Had to have our house repiped due to a water leak. Called 3 well-reviewed plumbers and got quotes from all of them. All 3 came in at around the same price. We ultimately decided on Modern Plumbing for their great customer service (quick to answer and respond to calls, thorough and professional quote visit, very informative), professionalism, and how they were able to work with us and our calendar to get our house re-piped quickly. They did a great job, did the whole re-pipe thoroughly in just 2 days, and were great working around our kids and dog in the house. And the drywall patcher they contract out did an incredible job patching the necessary holes from the repipe (you can't tell there was ever any holes). I would recommend them again to anyone needing to repipe their home.

Excellent service ! Quick, friendly and professional. I needed the hookup for my washer changed out so i could attach the hoses. What I thought was a major disaster was handled simply and efficiently. My only regret is that I didn't test it immediately because the new hoses are now on but leaking and I'm not sure what to do.

We woke up to our garage area almost flooded. As our old water heater was just leaking water. We called Modern Plumbing and within a few hours Victor had replaced our water heater. I would recommend Victor and Modern Plumbing to those with any issues.
Abel showed up early to get the job done. He was knowledgeable, kind, and professional. He was thorough and made sure the clog in my kitchen sink was all cleared before leaving. A little pricey, but a job well done.

We have been using MPI for years, we just had Alva come for a leak, he was so amazing and helpful, because of him we will continue to use this company for anything we need in the future!
I used this company in April, and had the best experience, they give you a cost estimate before they even start. The price was very reasonable, and the issue was resolved. I am happy to report I'm using them again
... So definitely recommending. Will do another review when they come tomorrow.
Modern Plumbing staff are knowledgable, competent and honest. They told me what repairs could wait, and which to do now. They replaced a toilet and left the place clean. Definitely worth trying.

Freddy is the man. Had a leak behind my shower and was prepared to have to take down the wall. Freddy saved me money and was able to fix the leak quickly using his tools without taking down the wall. Company is responsive, fairly priced, and knowledgeable.
We had a leak in our front yard that wasn't the lawn sprinkler system. The technicians arrived probably no later than 30 minutes after I called. They were amazing! I will only use Modern Plumbing. It was our main service line to the house that they repaired quickly.
Ben Cleveland was the plumber that Modern Plumbing industries sent to isolate a problem with our bathroom toilet. He isolated the problem immediately, cleared roots that broke into the main line and repaired the pipe. While getting quotes from other companies who came to inspect what the issue was, every one of them wanted to charge us as much as $500 to pull a camera out of their van before investigating. Ben however did not even mention the camera and knew what to do within minutes not wasting our time or money! He was honest, informative and a great people person! I will request only Ben if we need plumbing services again in the future. Modern Plumbing Industries responded to my call immediately and had great followup. I highly recommend this company.

I highly recommend this company. My upstairs bathroom was leaking into my ceiling. I was so nervous that this was going to cost an arm and leg and be some major issue. Taylor came out and went straight to the repair site, found the leak, and got me all fixed up. The pricing was super fair. I will continue to call them for my plumbing needs.

We recently purchased a new home during the summer and there were a few minor to mid plumbing issues we need resolved. After reviewing a number of different plumbing services, we decided on Modern Plumbing and let me tell you we are glad we did. They were not only prompt and efficient but they also adhered to COVID safety protocols as well which was a major relief. We scheduled service with their operator and less then a week later their technician Vinny arrived at our home. He sported a mask and shoe coverings in our home. Its such a minor thing but it definitely gave us a good first impression. Vinny was kind, informative and quick during the service. Prior to starting he listened to our issues. One was a leaky sink, another a wobbly toilet and last was a busted shower head. He quickly diagnosed each problem and explained the work and cost involved before even starting to make sure we were comfortable with the price and length each task would take. All of which was completely above board. When Vinny left the sink was as tight as a drum, the toilet sat firmly and the shower flowed with no interruptions. We also asked about future services and recommendations for maintenance and he was very informative about how to keep things running smoothly without trying to up sell us on anything. We highly recommend this company. They aren't the cheapest but the prices are reasonable and the work is reliable. And the peace of mind knowing things are fixed as they should be is priceless. :)

We had a leak under our kitchen sink so I called and was able to get an appt the very next day. The gentleman showed up on time right at the beginning of the appt window. He checked out the sink and instantly saw the problem, the garbage disposal wasn't properly situated. This didn't surprise me as we have a new home and the plumber the developer uses is horrible and when that plumber fixed this exact situation before he just put putty on the ring inside the sink which has since rubbed off with doing dishes. Now with Modern Plumbing fixing the ACTUAL problem I now feel confident we won't have the situation arise again.
The gentleman was super helpful and showed me exactly what the problem was and how he would fix it and showed me how I could do it myself too if for some odd reason it slipped out of place again. He even told me how to easily flush my water heater which everyone should do about once a year. I would give the guy a shoutout for great work, but I am terrible with names and can't remember.
I would highly recommend Modern Plumbing and I will be keeping them bookmarked on Yelp in case I need a plumber in the future.
