Extraordinary customer service from Steve. Started by problem solving over the phone and stopped by after hours to check system when I had concerns. Easy to work with and good sense of humor, genuine concern for clients.
My mother in-law had a 60 year old sprinkler systems and it needed some help. I sent Steve a photo and he knew exacly what was wrong and gave me 3 options. I picked one and the system is up and running. I will definately use him again.
I rarely offer opinions on social media. However, based on the service I have received from Orange County Sprinkler Repair, I feel I must tell you of my experience with this company...
It has been incredible, to say the least. Steve, the owner, is one of the most honest business people I have worked with! Seeing that, I had full trust in what he proposed for our yard. We moved into our house about 4 months ago and experienced incredibly high water bills. We do have a large yard, - 1.2 acres, with a sprinkling system that had been neglected for years.
Steve and his staff came out for an entire afternoon checking the 31 zones we have. Based on what they found, they gave me a proposal, which I felt was much more than reasonable. I told Steve, lets do it.
Steve and his people, did it. The workers that came to take care of our many issues, were a delight to work with. The work they did, was incredible.

John from OC Sprinkler Repair just left and I have to say that I am very pleased with this company. I called after 2 pm today after receiving an estimate from another company to replace a valve on the main unit. The owner said he would try to get John out ASAP and believe me he did John was at our home in a hour. He explained everything and replaced the valve for $132.00. 3 zones were not working and no water was coming out. We called Orange County Sprinkler Repair since they are in the business for a long time. Steve, the owner kept us up to date regarding scheduling for service. Arrived early before the appointed time. He found several problems and fixed it. He even make sure that everything works before leaving. Reasonable price. Definitely will call them again.
My new puppy decided to rewire my automatic sprinkler system chewing the wiring down to the solenoids at the valves. I called OC Sprinkler Repair and they came out to take care of the job.
Steve was very helpful and fit my in on a Friday afternoon after completing a day of jobs. It turned out that not only did the dog chew the wires, he also fried the time box. Steve stayed late to troubleshoot the problem and even made a trip to buy a new timer for me to make sure the job got done that night.
OC Sprinkler Repair did a great job, had a very reasonable price, and stayed to see the job through even into the evening!
Steve was kind enough to come out to my home to repair several sprinkler leaks, even though it was out of his service area. Steve and his crew were great and did a fantastic job. Great job repairing and adjusting sprinklers that had been neglected for a long time.
Absolutely the BEST. This guy really knows what he is doing.
I was a little far out for him but I was desperate to find someone who knew what they were doing. I was already out a lot of $$$$ and nothing worked. When all the sprinkler heads started to leak Steve's office manager, Carrie, was fantastic. She was able to keep me calm and reassured me that everything would be alright. By this time I was not sleeping at night. Shut of valve, then 3 brand new sprinkler valves, then all the sprinklers off of one of the new valves were leaking and the owner of MSR would not return. Not without more Money

Doesn't get better than this! I am in the process of selling a property and needed work done on my sprinkler system. I did a lot of the fix-up work on the property myself, but have never done any irrigation work before, and so decided to leave that work to a pro. Steve gave me what I felt was a fair quote for the project (pretty extensive so not cheap but his price was reasonable). He broke it down for me in detail so I could see exactly what I was paying for. Once I decided to go with them, I was able to get an appointment the next week. Great. The crew was on time for the appointment and did the work efficiently and fast. I am extremely satisfied with the work they did, and the overall end cost did not exceed the estimate. You guys now have a customer for life!
These guys are snakes!!! I hired them to replace 2 sprinkler heads, and swap out an old timer with a new one. They were rushing to get to their next appointment and asked me if I could just set up the timer myself so they could leave. I paid them and they left. After setting up the timer I realized they only set up my backyard sprinklers, forgetting my front yard. Had they just stayed and finished the set up they would have realized that. I called them back and they said they couldn't come back that day. When they did return an hour and 15 mins later than they had promised, they were complaining they couldn't find the wire (dog had chewed through old timer wires) to one of the two front yard zones. They left my house without telling me they were done...because they sneakily wired both front yard zones together, instead of finding the wire and pulling it from under the house. Now the grass is dying in areas because the reason for two zones instead of one is to have enough water pressure to reach the entire area. These guys even failed to close my gate completely and my dog got out. So after TWO visits, they failed to follow through with what they were hired to do. The fact that they left without telling me the second time (so I wouldn't find out their shortcut) left me angry and baffled. I've NEVER had such a horrible experience with any home repair in my life! Please don't patronize this company.

Great experience. Called Steve regarding a leaking valve I had tried unsuccessfully to repair and he and Pete came out first thing the next morning. Problem required the valve to be replaced, which they did quickly and at a reasonable cost. While they were there, I had them check out an issue with low water pressure with our backyard sprinklers. Pete was like a detective and was able to quickly diagnose the problem, which only required a quick and easy fix. Highly recommend for all your sprinkler repair needs!

Steve was terrific. Came on time, knew exactly what the problem was, told me what I could do in the future if there were a problem. Don't think 5 stars is enough. Give him 6. Best service I've ever received.
They responded to my inquiry in about a day. I believe it was Todd that came out and sized up the job and made the necessary repairs. Was a tad expensive, and I didn't get a receipt or warranty for the repairs, but he worked pretty quickly and gave me a quick tutorial/refresher on how to manually work the sprinkler system controls.

A pipe in my backyard broke early in the morning, the team at OC Sprinkler Repair responded quickly, fixed it and replaced the necessary parts within a few hours of opening for the day. Fast, friendly, easy to work with and responsive. Absolutely no complaints.

Just had the pleasure of meeting Steve and Amarette. Both were amazing and had wonderful customer service. I walked into a flooded office space from one of my sprinklers that broke. The water was flooding the exterior of my building, which ended up leaking to the inside of my building. Thankfully, my husband went online to find a trusted sprinkler repair company and came upon Steve at OC Sprinkler Repair. They made time during their busy day to help assist my location with the fixing of our broken system. Such wonderful people. I was dealing with an intractable sprinkler problem. The sprinkler would keep running. I changed the clock, no luck. Changed the solenoid, that worked for awhile, then back to running without stopping. Then changed the whole valve. Again, worked temporarily, but then back to not shutting off. Steve took the time to go back and forth to think through a solution. When he learned that the valve was connected to drip lines, he suggested a special low flow valve from Rainbird with a pressure regulator. That has done the trick and in addition to solving the not turning off problem, the drip system is running better generally (more evenly). Steve is a sprinkler genius!

These guys are awesome. I had some irrigation that was linked the my HOA and I couldn't figure out where it ran and how to turn it on. I randomly ran into the owner at my work and asked if he could help. He came by a few days later with another guy. It took them a few hours to figure out the problem, offer a few solutions and get everything fixed and working perfectly. The pricing was super affordable and they were really knowledgeable, professional and nice. Would absolutely use them again and will refer to any of my friends or family.
There are good reasons why Orange County Sprinkler Repairs has great ratings. The service was excellent, price was reasonable and the owner and employee were not only professional, but extremely nice. I called and left a message and within ten minutes I received a call back from Steve, the owner. Within a hour and a half Dale showed up to repair the pvc pipe on one of the sprinkler valve that broke. Dale was fast, efficient and friendly. These guys were great! They really addressed our sprinkler system as a whole unit. They fixed the initial problem with the valves, and they worked their way through the various stations, and then individual sprinklers. Their price was more than fair and both my wife and I were pleasantly surprised and delighted at their work!

My automatic sprinklers turned on this morning and never turned off. I called Steve at OC Sprinkler Repair and he did everything he could over the phone. When that didn't work, he came out and took care of it himself in a very short time. The bill was less than he quoted over the phone. Absolutely top-notch service! I called OC Sprinkler Repair twice. Both times I was very satisfied with the service provided to me by Steve. It didn't take him long to find the problem. Steve was very friendly, professional and very honest. He left a lasting impression on me with his honesty. I thought I needed a new sprinkler system...however, Steve said the system I have now does not need to be replaced. One thing for sure, if in the near future the sprinkler system gives me any problems I'm calling OC Sprinkler repair. Steve is the BEST!!!!!

STAY AWAY!!! The one upside is that they are fast and answer their phone. I tried another yelp-recommended sprinkler repair company who didn't answer their phone, so moved on to this one. The downside is that they didn't actually do anything. I have a big leak somewhere on the property and they couldn't find it. They were blaming the city, a leak in the house (the house valve was closed off), and the meter itself for a very sizable leak somewhere in the yard. It was frustrating at best to deal with them, and they charged me $89 for telling me to watch and wait and see if water bubbles up somewhere in the yard. Go elsewhere for your sprinkler repair problems!
I have a large yard; it's mostly cemented over, so I have many many pots and planters of all sizes. The smallest are on shelves against a wall. A few years ago, we had a drip irrigation system set up for all the pots. It never worked right. After that we had 4 different guys work on it, but it still didn't work right. It turned out to be very difficult to find someone who really knew how to do what we needed. I found O C Sprinkler repair on Yelp and I'm so glad I did. They fixed all the things that had been done wrong, made the system work, and installed a new control box where I could reach it. The also found and fixed malfunctions in the sprinklers.
The work was done when I was told it would be done, the price was reasonable, and the guys were really so nice to deal with. Especially if you need dripper experts, this is the place.
Steve and his crew came on short notice to help me with a water line break that caused me to have to turn off all water to the house. They assessed the situation quickly, gave a fair estimate and went right to work. It's a very old system with no diagram, but Brian and Steve figured it out. They also installed a valve for the next time that zone needs to be turned off.

Called for an estimate after noticing 3 broken sprinklers. In our yard Spoke c Steve who was friendly and sent out his assistant Petey to do an estimate the same day since he was already in the area. He quoted me $650 for the repair stating i needed 20-25 sprinklers to be replaced. When I asked for me details as the price was higher than I was expecting, Steve told me I don't know as I wasn't there but I trust Petey. I asked if he can give me a written estimate for the work. I said he would talk with Petey and get something to me. 3 days later, I hadn't heard anything so called back. I spoke c a woman in the office who told me Steve was out of the office but would get me a written estimate describing the scope of the work for $650. 2 weeks later, I still hasn't heard back from them. I ended using Scott George Sorinkler Tech who quoted me $60 for a service call, $60/hr for his work and cost of parts. He charged me $340 and worked me in on weekend. He even diagnosed a sprinkler valve that was leaking as just needing a couple manual twists (another company quoted me $150 to replace it). 2 weeks later, I got a call from the same woman in Steve's office stating good news, we are calling to let you know we are coming out tomorrow to do the job! What? I called you twice to get more info on the estimate and never heard back. Then 2 weeks later, you call to say you are coming out without me even agreeing to your estimate. No thank you.
I was very happy with the repairs made by Trevor and Ivan last Saturday. Our sprinkler valves failed and because of the age of our original valves and no sprinkler shut off we had to turn off the house water. When I realized that we would not be able to repair on our own, I started calling sprinkler repair companies for help. Trevor answered the phone and was at our home within the hour on a Saturday. Trevor replaced the broken valves and assisted with some sprinkler heads that needed to be replaced. The price was very reasonable for the work done. My husband and I are very happy and we will call OC Sprinkler Repair for future sprinkler repair needs.
I came home to a flooded front yard and had to shut off the water to the entire house. Steve responded to my call right away, came within an hour and resolved my problem. Very grateful to them.

My sprinkler valves were leaking and I dreaded facing the cost of replacing them. I called on Monday morning, and Steve came later that day within the time frame he gave me. Fortunately, none of the valves needed replacing, just cleaning and putting the gaskets back in properly. Not only did Steve fix the leaky valves, but he fixed a replaced a sprinkler head that my gardener had just fixed and filled in the area with soil that my gardener neglected to do. Steve's pricing was fair and he did a great job!
My house had planter beds that were originally on a drip system. My gardener just didn't know how to properly fix them so they ended not working and interspersed with spray nozzles. Steve got all of them working and even made a special trip to Home Depot to get the needed parts. Fair price and my plants will now hopefully thrive. Got a quote for some tree trimming and intend to have him do that in the future as well.
Recently I discovered a broken, underground sprinkler pipe and called Orange County Sprinkler Repair. They called me back within one hour and we set up an appointment for Saturday. Travis called me a couple of times Saturday to let me know where they were and Todd showed up on time and ready to work. He was very personable and quickly discovered the source of the issue. We agreed upon the very fair quote and he began the repair. Petey, another technician also showed up which was fortunate because he had the pipe size that was needed for the repair.
It was at this time I told Todd about another sprinkler issue I had and had him investigate for me. A broken sprinkler was the issue this time and we agreed that because of the location of the sprinkler, it didn't make sense for it to be there and he capped it off.
By this time, Petey had repaired the broken pipe and installed a bubbler for a tree in my backyard.
I am extremely satisfied with the level of service and professionalism demonstrated by both of these gentlemen and would recommend Orange County Sprinkler Repair to anyone that needs to have their sprinklers serviced.
Steve is very nice and honest. He came to my house to check water pressure. He actually tried to save my money in every possible way. He made some suggestions which I will implement on my own. He did not charge me any money but gave very useful advise. Steve, please keep up the good work.
Steve has been helping me and taking care of my irrigation needs since 1992. He always shows up as scheduled, or calls back as needed. I know over the long haul, he has saved me many dollars on my water bill by repairing or replacing broken valves and components. One time, I swear, he had to dig a trench and crawl in it so I could turn the water back on. This company has the parts and knowhow to solve your irrigation needs, as well as other jobs, tree trimming, landscape, other yard repairs or cleanup. You won't be disappointed!
Steve was awesome. I had an emergency sprinkler system issue very early this morning. It was a geyser and I had shutoff all of the water from my house and it was still gushing. He dropped everything and showed up to my home with a mask and fixed the issue expediently. After umpteen attempts to repair system by a local non-professional repair person. OC Sprinkler determined what the problem was and repaired sprinkler system by rewiring control panel to valve.
Wasted a lot of money before hiring a professional....... the OC Sprinkler Repair.

These guys are great. They fixed everything quickly, didn't mind that I'm deeply ignorant about sprinklers, and they did just what was needed, inexpensively. They were _extremely_ friendly and kind, and seemed to be as dedicated to saving me money as I am. That sounds like some lame slogan, but I'm serious. If they had told me that everything had to be replaced I would probably have believed them, but instead they did the couple of little things that really needed doing, and charged me very, very little. I recommend these folks highly, and will absolutely call them if I need anything else sprinklerish.
One of my sprinkler zones in my backyard was having issues. All the sprinkler heads were not fully popping up and water was slowly drizzling out of them. After a quick google search, I concluded my sprinkler flow valve has gone bad. I youtube how to replace it myself, but it looked too much of a hassle so I decided to hire someone to do it.
In addition, I had my trees removed and was having concrete poured. Concrete guy let me know I needed to have my sprinklers capped off/removed and drains raised up to be level with concrete.
I called around and everyone confirmed the sprinkler flow valve probably needs to be replaced for the non-popping sprinklers. Prices ranged from $80-$110 including parts and labor for flow valve replacement. As for removing sprinklers, they have to do an in person estimate. However, most companies were booked 2 weeks out. I needed the sprinklers resolved ASAP because concrete guys are pouring in 2 days.
I stumbled on O.C. Sprinklers and spoke with Steve the owner. Very nice guy and he was able to send someone out within 1 hour! He asked me to text pictures and he gave me a rough estimate over the phone. He also gave me a separate price if flow valve needs to be changed.
Pictures were also helpful for him so he can have all the necessary parts ready in the truck. No need to run to Home Depot.
Dale came out on time. Great guy, he immediately diagnosed the problem. The flow valve hasn't gone bad, but a broken sprinkler head was causing the problem. He dug in (glad I did not decide to do it, it got muddy/messy) and Dale found the broken pipe. He fixed it and we turned it back on. All the sprinklers work now!!
Dale also went out of his way to adjust the flow and direction for all the sprinklers throughout the front and back yard. I walked around the entire property and pointed out each wacky acting sprinkler. He had ALL the parts already in his truck so he was able to repair all the rogue sprinkles without needing to make a run for parts.
Dale showed no frustration and was happy to fix all of them. Most guys will be in a rush to fix things and get out of there ASAP. Not Dale! He wanted everything done right. We even turned on each zone 4-5 times to make sure they work over normal usage. I really appreciated that.
Dale also was able to quickly dig up all the sprinklers I wanted removed and capped them off. Overall, I've very satisfied with the professionalism and attention to detail of Steve and Dale.
Most importantly, the price I paid was originally what I was quoted over the phone! I will definitely use them from now on for all my irrigation needs. Thanks!

Outstanding Service! We wanted to replace our 25 year old sprinkler controller with a new smart one. We called up Steve on a Friday afternoon, got his advice, bought the new box on Amazon, it was delivered on Saturday early afternoon, texted Steve, he came over right away, and before the end of the day on Saturday it was installed and running great. I appreciate Steve's prompt service when I called him on a Saturday morning. I didn't expect him to come out that morning, but he did which was great. He also came out the following morning on a Sunday when I had trouble turning on the new valves he replaced. It was operator error on my part. The only reason I'm not giving him 5 stars is because I don't like the high priced valve parts he replaced. They're more sophisticated for my needs and I frankly don't like the way they work. I would prefer the manual valves. Steve talked me into the more sophisticated valves and said they would last longer, which I'm sure they will. Having said that, I don't really like them. I appreciate Steve's efforts and thank him again for coming out on a Sunday to help me figure out how to turn on the new valves properly.
We had a very complex problem when the wire harness to the rear sprinkler was damaged during a fence installation. Steve was great to talk to on a Sunday and John P who was the technician who we think is an engineer was prompt, courteous, and hard worker. WOW! Within 12 hours of my call, OC Sprinkler Repair was there for us. To top it all, the work they did was reasonable. Thank you John and Steve for taking care of us. I have a slop in the backyard that the irrigation system was not working properly after tree and brush removal. I called OC sprinkler repair yesterday and explained the issue, the response time was amazing Jose Jr and his helper were at my home at 8:15am this morning and diagnosed and resolved all the issues, plus tuned up the irrigation system by 10:30. One of the zones on my sprinkler system was not working. This despite the steps I had taken to check the valves and the wiring on the controller. Steve came out same day & fix the problem on the spot, all for a very reasonable rate. I will most certainly do business with Steve in the future.
After seeing all the 5 star fabulous reviews, I called to try to schedule a quote to fix my sprinkler system. Unfortunately, I did not get the service that people described... I talked to Steve after trying to call 3 times. And texted him my info as he requested. No reply. I tried calling back and text him back... No answer. I tried calling the day after, another lady answered and told me they won't have anyone in the area for another 3 days... Ok... I guess I better find some better service.

Steve squeezed us in last minute on a Saturday as my system had stopped working and I didn't realize it until my grass & plants were fading. He spent over an hour trying to troubleshoot as to why there was no power. Meanwhile his assistant checked & repaired all sprinkler heads. We all finally figured it out (a previous owner did some creative wiring), and then he spent another hour fixing that! Once that was resolved, the replacement of our system was a breeze. Steve set it up and it's running perfectly. Lawn & flowers are saved, hooray!

I consider myself to be pretty handy at general repairs around the house so when I saw water shooting up alongside one of my sprinkler heads I figured that I would be able to easily fix it. After digging a huge hole in my yard, I realized that I would need to call in a professional to fix this issue. I was preparing to go out of town on a business trip and I didn't want to leave a huge hole in my yard, so I gave OC Sprinkler Repair a call. Scheduled an estimate on a tune-up and repair. They couldn't commit to a time, called last minute when they were in the neighborhood.
Finally came when schedules aligned. Never mentioned a service fee, we made it clear we wanted an estimate only. They proceeded to adjust heads without our consent then asked for a service fee. Told them no way and became irate.
There are way better more professional operations out there. Don't waste your time or energy on this poorly run operation.
These guys were great, had some minor work needed to be fixed in my front yard. Showed up on time and fixed my different issues. Were courteous and helpful with all my additional questions with any future landscaping work. I'd highly recommend them.
Steve was really great! He arrived at my mother in law's house and got her whole system up and running in just a couple of hours! Fixed sprinkler heads, tweaked valves, set timers and adjusted everything! Now it is all working great and for a very reasonable price! Thank you so much Steve!
OC Sprinkler Repair did an absolutely awesome job on our yard. They did a complete sprinkler tune up to start. Then they completely removed our old lawn and replaced with brand new sod. It was a big job and they completely delivered. Their crew was professional, showed up on time and answered any questions I had. Steve is a very honest and kind man. He helped me troubleshoot a very soggy spot in my backyard and adjusted the watering schedule accordingly.

I really only need to leave a one-word review: outstanding. This morning we got word from our neighbors that water from our yard was traveling to theirs. Since it was the Saturday after Thanksgiving I had my doubts about getting it fixed. But, Steve answered the phone and arrived a few hours later. It was a simple problem; he fixed it. The charge was reasonable and I am looking forward to having him work for us in the future.

Steve and Dale did an amazing job today. I had a valve that was leaking, and I tried to repair it but could not, it was too old so it had to come out. The space was extremely tight and we had copper in there as well that they were hoping would not be compromised. With some patience and hard work they were able to work around all the obstacles and completed the job. I now have a working sprinkler system again and I didn't have to call a plumber which I know would have been very expensive. - Thank you Steve and Dale
My sprinkler system was acting up and I had some sprinklers that were continuously leaking. I called Steve, he was in the area so he came over immediately to take a look at my sprinkler system. He troubleshooted and found the cause of the problem right away. We were going to schedule a time for him to come back to make the repair but he decided to replace the broken valve on the spot. Problem solved! He was prompt and courteous and did a great job. Very satisfied with his work and would highly recommend his services. In fact, I'm going to have him back for a tune up of the rest of my sprinkler system.
Two zones of my sprinkler system had low pressure, so I was worried there was a leak somewhere. Chris and Petey came out within an hour of me texting details of the issue - on a Saturday - and fixed the problem within another hour! They were courteous, thorough, and quick. Without a doubt, I will definitely call them again if I have another problem with the sprinkler system!
Incredible owner Steve responded to an unrelated gushing sprinkler valve emergency first thing this morning. He made recommendations for improvements in the design to mitigate future emergencies. You really can't go wrong, these are real people that respond on a human level to a panicking homeowner and don't make them feel like they are nuts.

We had a couple of gaskets break, & the valves were stuck. So our sprinklers were running & wouldn't stop. I ended up literally getting soaked on the front lawn as I finally managed to turn off the house water.
Enter OC Sprinkler Repair to the rescue. Although he was literally under someone else's house when I called, he assured me that he would come over as soon as he finished. He was true to his word, & ended up working on my lawn until about 6pm just so that the job was done right & I could turn the water back on. He was very transparent with pricing & was polite.
I would absolutely recommend this company for their fast response, thorough work, & fair pricing.

I got a little carried away trying to remove my asparagus ferns and busted a sprinkler line that goes straight to the water main.
Steve came right away on a SUNDAY to fix our pipes. I was so happy someone answered my URGENT call immediately!! Such a relief! Price was very reasonable.
He was super nice and even took the time to mended a break in my sprinklers which was not part of the original service call!!
In addition, he happens to be a tree expert who gave me the exact name of all 4 trees in my yard which I'd been trying to figure out since we moved in. He gave me advice on how to care to for them. I plan to have him come back out for tree trimming in the future.

This business tried to solicit a good review from me in exchange for a discount after a somewhat dissatisfying experience. I suspect some or many of these so-called five-star reviews were solicited, as some even state they were asked to write a good review. I think the responsible thing to do is to report my actual experience without sugar-coating.
Major issues had to do with miscommunication:
All I asked for was a non-urgent repair of a sprinkler head. Steve never quoted me a price for the job (he says he did but I never received anything in writing and he later backed down from this assertion). He said he would come in the morning but came well after 5pm. To my surprise he completed the repair after dusk without informing me or quoting me a price beforehand.
Afterwards he sent me a text asking for $99 labor + $12 parts for one sprinkler head. This was a little bit of a surprise for me and I let him know I wished he had at least given me a quote before completing the work. He subsequently went on to give me boatload of excuses about being overwhelmed with calls, having to dig through big roots, working after dusk, about having a minimum fee (this number kept changing btw), etc etc. I understand we all have rough days at work, but please don't whine to your customers. I never asked you to work after dusk either; you chose to work at that time on this non-urgent job. Also, if you're so busy and the phone is ringing off the hook to the point where it's compromising your customer service (he claimed twice that he's the best at what he does), perhaps you should rethink your business model by scaling back or hiring up. But please don't complain about how busy you are to me as an excuse for poor communication. True five-star businesses are busy and yet still find a way to provide a seamless experience.
After some back-and-forth over the phone, he conceded he did not live up to his billing and that he would give me a discount. I appreciate that we came to a concession and that he admitted fault, for which I bumped this from 2 to 3 stars. Regardless, my experience was not a 5-star one as I was led to believe I would have based on the many reviews here.
Steve is such a great guy! Very quick to respond. Extremely polite with a great work ethic. I will definitely call him again should I have any other sprinkler issues.
I tried calling Steve multiple times, & sent multiple text messages. NO RESPONSE. I don't know how someone runs their business like this. If you are that busy, then hire staff to manage your calls & handle the scheduling. HORRIBLE

He showed up exactly on time, and did a complete overhaul to a sprinkler system that had not had any maintenance done for over 15 years. I was in tears this morning over my dying plants. We needed help very lat minute and OC sprinkler sent someone right away. Mike came out to fix a few broken heads and re-program my very complicated orbit rain box. I have had several different companies come in the past and none have down what I needed. My sprinkler valve broke and an unstoppable fountain of water came gushing out. No way to stop the flood except turn off the main water line to the house. Looked up the best 5 star sprinkler repair in Irvine area.
Called OC Sprinkler and explained to the nice young lady that I had a water crisis. She called Steve who was eating dinner at BJ's Pizza in Irvine. Since he was close by after he finished his dinner he would come to my house. Steve discovered a broken plastic part in the valve. He was able to shut off the valve and turn on the main water line. He said he or one of his employees would stop by the next morning and fix the valve. Surprise - Surprise. A half- hour later Steve shows up with the kit to fix the valve. He just charged me for the service call and kit - no emergency night fee. Now is that great service? Steve went way beyond what I expected, a true professional. I would recommend Steve any time you have a sprinkler problem.

Steve provided exceptional service for us in a time of need. A broken sprinkler line caused us to turn off all water to our house. He pushed back his other appointments to help us. Needing it to make sure it was fully dry and sealed, he promised to come back and left to do other repairs. Having been burned by other repair people in the past, I was skeptical he would return but he did. Call Steve if you want honesty, craftsmanship, and a fair price.

We just moved into a new home out in Mission Viejo with an existing sprinkler and drip system. In all fairness I am writing this review to explain how impressed I was with Steve, who is the owner of the company. You see after my Yelp review, Steve reached out to me to apologize for not returning my calls. He provided no excuses and said he would come out to my house personally this Saturday to fix my sprinkler issue. Steve stuck by his word, often updating me throughout the day when he was coming by, and now the job is finished. Thanks Steve for the excellent service.
Hesitate, then think long and hard before posting a less than stellar review -- after all you are messing with someone's livelihood. But my experience was not so great. Called for the Sprinkler Tune-up based on Louis C.'s review.
Our sprinkler system had been gone through by our general purpose gardeners within the prior month, but had two remaining adjustment issues that I thought were worth spending the money to hire an expert. These were: 1) a deck that was getting very wet with overspray, and 2) a small entry courtyard where the water was not getting to all the plants. They fixed the overspray, although they water is dialed down so far, that am concerned that there is enough water getting to the lawn (fingers crossed). 2) They missed the other problem (said they were done, but their flag marker was still in place and sprinklers had not been touched). Their quick fix resulted in a dead Gardenia. Removed their workaround, and put a regular head back on, and it is back to the way it was -- which is not good, but better. Some of the problem may have been that the riser was not even screwed-in completely.
The only good thing was timing -- a pipe had broken since the other gardeners went through the system, and OC Sprinkler Repair did repair that. So at least we got something for the $424. But in digging up the break, half-killed two more bushes (an Azalea and a Star Jasmine), which I shored-up, and may or may not survive.

It was a Sunday morning and the only sprinkler company in OC who was available to help my sprinkler emergency was Steve from Orange County Sprinkler Repair. My sprinkler was on all night and I couldn't turn it off and was in desperate need to fix my manual valve. Steve came in right away and reschedule his personal family plans to help out. He fixed the system and gave the best service!
Two months later or so, the same thing happened to the side of my house on a different area and the different valve (my house is slowly breaking down). I called Steve again and he came right away early in the morning to help out! OC Sprinkler Repair is by far the best service with their experience, timeliness and always getting the job done!
Really like the sprinkler service provided by Dale and Trevor. Good communication and got things fixed fast. Recommended business.

Tried call and connecting through the App. They texted and said they would call but over two days they were unresponsive. If someone is too busy I think the appropriate thing to do is say so.
Steve moved some things around in his personal life to come fix our problem in less than an hour. He's a cordial professional that's dedicated to his customers. He explained the problem simply so was able to understand clearly. His pricing is as reasonable as they come. We'll certainly be calling him again.

I wrote a very favorable review back in May, per their request that I write a review quickly. At that time every thing I said was true. Following the repair, I had an extremely busy work schedule and a trip out of state. When I returned, the lawn was brown. I texted Steve and then had no response for over 10 days. I don't know why, it's a discrepancy of interpretations by his most recent statement, but anyway.....
After texting Steve and posting a Yelp review-OC Sprinkler came out the next a.m. to check out the problem. When they left after the first repair, I was told to turn on the ball valve--I say yellow- valve after 24 hours. This was to allow the adhesive material time to cure. I FORGOT!! It's true...I did. So on that aspect, I am swallowing my pride or whatever the word is --and publicly admitting my error.
I will also say that for John, who came out in the early a.m. to check it out, left me a very nice message, so I thank him for that. I have been working for many years with the public and as a customer service follow-up, a 2-minute phone call or a text after the first visit would've saved a bunch of time and a lawn. I upgraded their review because once we got on the same page, their response was very quick.
I don't often write reviews but Steve at OC Sprinkler Repair was truly on top of his business! He answered my phone call on a Sunday night (late) and had a crew there the very next morning. The crew was friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. Within an hour of arriving, they had located and repaired the ruptured sprinkler line, which ruptured at a point prior to the main sprinkler shut off valve which required me to shut off the main waterline to my house. Because of the quick response by OC Sprinkler Repair, I was able to check out of the hotel, and get to work in time for a 9 AM meeting! Many thanks to you, Steve, and to your crew!

Our sprinkler system had sprung a leak and the only way to prevent our backyard from flooding was to shut off the water to the entire house. Steve came out after hours, installed a shutoff valve and repaired the system. All on one of the coldest nights of the year. He was friendly, reasonably priced, and best of all, he fixed the problem in one visit!
I was having some problems with a few zones in my sprinkler system. Rodger was the technician who came to my house, he was very professional and knowledgeable and fix the problem in less than an hour. I highly recommend this company.
WOW, where to start. Steve and Trevor came out to meet and give me a quote. Their price was fair and they were back the next day and did an outstanding job. Their Technician Todd was amazing. Asked Steve and Pedro come out with very little notice to fix leaky valves on some very old and uncooperative copper sprinkler pipes. They came by in about an hour, quickly diagnosed the problem, talked me through options, and then fixed what I needed fixed. And no up-selling either -- some of the newer plastic valves just needed cleaning in vinegar and not replacement, which was a low-cost solution I appreciated. Nice guys, very competent, low-key. Price totally reasonable / fair. Recommended!

We had an emergency leak on a Saturday flooding our yard and could not turn off the water because we couldn't find the valve buried under the mud. We turned off our main water and started looking for someone to come out immediately. Steve actually answered the phone and was compassionate that we needed to turn our main water off and Monday would be too long with two small children to go without water. He said he will make it happen and within an hour Mark showed up to our house and found the problem. Mark was so upbeat and knowledgeable. He discovered it was a long term leak that suddenly broke which explained why we had water pooling in our front yard we couldn't figure out. It was one of the best experiences we could ask for in an emergency situation and cannot recommend these guys enough.
How absolutely refreshing! As the caretaker of my elderly parents, I have delt with many unethical home repair individuals/companies who have tried to take advantage of my vulnerable parents. I had a sprinkler valve that wouldn't shut off so I had to shut off main water to house since I did not have a sprinkler master shut off . I texted Steve and he called me back within minutes trying to see if he could help me get the valve shut off so I can get my main water back on to the house. Steve was able to be at my house in about an hour and he fixed the bad valve. Now that's what I call being responsive and providing great service! Not an urgent issue, but had difficulty with our sprinkler heads and timer. They got back to me quickly and did a great job fixing our sprinklers. They offered us a couple options at different price points to help. Then they spent some extra time making sure everything was working perfectly. I texted him our info yesterday. He called back today, then came by within a few hours and did the work. He knew exactly what he was doing, worked quickly, and the price was reasonable. Would highly recommend.
I had some trouble with a sprinkler in my backyard. My gardeners had run over it numerous times and the sprinkler was shooting water all over the backyard and was in pretty bad shape. My gardeners repeatedly told me they fixed the sprinkler head, but after they improperly adjusted it 4 different times to try to fix it, I decided to call someone who actually knew what they were doing. I called Steve at OC Sprinkler Repair, told him about the problem, and he was over at my house within 2 hours.
He got everything fixed up right in a short amount of time and the cost didn't break the bank. I would recommend OC Sprinkler Repair.
Last month - had a zone/valve that wouldn't turn off on schedule. Steve and Brian came within a reasonable time to help fix the problem. Although they had to come back a 2nd time - they made sure the issue was addressed & fixed (by installing a pressure regulator).
Both worked hard all day and in the afternoon heat to get the job done. Really appreciate their efforts and would use Steve and his team again.
When your sprinkle busts at 4:00 am and you need that plumber ASAP on a Sunday, no less, that man is Steve! I texted his 24/7 service and sure enough he was at my door at the crack of dawn and repaired my leak in no time. Thank you for your professionalism and expertise.
We came home the other night and discovered our drip irrigation system had flooded our front yard planters and sidewalk. I called OC Sprinkler Repair on Monday morning and Steve had a service technician at our house that afternoon. Turns out we didn't need a repair or replacement part (another repairman had accidentally turned our valve to the always on position, and Steve's technician simply turned it back off for us). I offered to pay him for his brief time, since he had to drive all the way out here, but all he would accept was a cold soda! Since Steve was so friendly, responsive and prompt, and his technician was equally friendly and helpful, we sent them a check anyway. We will definitely call Steve again if/when we have irrigation trouble!
So I chose to call Steve based upon other yelp ratings and comments. Steve was courteous on the phone and actually showed up to my house on a Sunday to asses my sprinkler problems and provide a price quote. The quote he gave me seemed fair and was under the quote provided by a similar company I found on yelp. Steve and his workers showed up the next day on time and did everything he said he would. Steve installed quality parts and an easy to use electronic timer. Steve later followed up on his workers finished product with a phone call. I was happy to find out the bill ended up lower than what Steve originally quoted me. So far everything is working well. I would totally recommend them to a friend and I will be calling back for future issues.

Few things are more stressful than waking up to a flooded front lawn with water gushing down the street-especially right before work. If you are looking for a responsive, go to plumber that will give fair and accurate price quotes, look no further. Rather than having us wait hours to have someone stop by, they were here within 45 minutes, as promised. All of the work was complete in a timely manner and with a smile! Steve and crew stand behind their work. Came out to double check the install of a shut off valve connected to a soft water line. Willing to try different methods to fix issues. Stays updated with current trends in sprinklers and water systems.
Steve & Todd came to my house and replaced 3 valves that were not working. They also fixed my sprinkler timer wires and saved me the cost of replacing the timer. When one of the valves was leaking and spraying water across my yard, Todd promptly came back out the next day and fixed it. They were efficient and reasonable. I would hire these guys again if needed!
Sprinkler valve blew and I had to shut down the water to my house. Called Steve and although he had a full schedule (Saturday morning) he squeezed me in, less than an hour later he was at my door. I really appreciate that, and in the end it was a fair price. Will use again.
I met Steve recently, he was highly recommended by the owner whom we bought our house from. Ee called him for estimate to trim our trees before we did the sprinklers. We were not able to connect at first, I totally understand why, they do such a good job that they're in high demand. Although he's busy, Steve is very nice and his prices are reasonable. Our front lawn sprinklers were not covering most of the lawn. Hand watering the edges every day was counter productive and time comsuming. We called OC Sprinkler Repair and couldn't be happier.

I called oc sprinkler and Carrie the gal that helped me out pulled Junnior from another job because i didn't have water to the entire house since i had to shut it down. Junnior showed up in less than an hour. Repair took about 15 mins and we were up and running. They are in my phonebook for life! Thank you so much!
I called OCSR yesterday at around 3pm to see if they could help me with a leak. I was flooding my backyard and my neighbors yard. Steve had an opening and stopped by 8:30 then following morning. He was extremely friendly, explained everything he was doing, and made sure to check everything before he left. The price was very reasonable and on top of that, he's an Arborist and gave me some advise on my fruit trees which weren't doing so hot this year.
It's a great feeling when you find someone who can provide a service you need and is a pleasure to work with!
I wish I would have found him sooner and saved myself $$$ working with other providers.

I called for an estimate to repair sprinklers, remove existing front and back lawn and add new sod. They came out right away, measured analyzed and told me they would review to determine if they would take the job or not. I never heard from them again. A courtesy call would've been nice.

I appreciate Steve's dedication to his customers and his willingness to work hard and get the job done right. A year ago, my sprinkler system had a pair of gushing leaks in the front yard. Steve worked into the dark on a Sunday evening, digging and cutting through roots. He found an efficient way to patch the leaks. The fixes have held all year with no signs of trouble
So when my water bill spiked last month and it became clear I had a mysterious leak in my back yard, I called Orange County Sprinkler Repair again. I called Steve on a Sunday and he came out in the rain that evening. He did some exploratory work and found a way to shut off the water flow. He charged me nothing for that visit.
I will have him back when the ground is dry to find and repair the leak.
Thanks for that Saturday service... Petey worked his butt off to find and repair a couple of major leaks... Thanks again Steve!

Same hour quote , they came out the same day and replaced my valves for the automatic valves. The water was shut off less than 2 hours. Very professional work.
Thrilled with the service we got working with Steve and his colleague (Toby?). We sent a text message to Steve on Sunday because we weren't sure the timer on our sprinkler system was working properly at our rental property in Irvine. We were also having issues getting the fountain in the yard to turn on. He responded first thing Monday morning and had someone out to take a look that afternoon. He quoted his service/troubleshooting fee right up front so there weren't any surprises.
Once Toby (I think it was Toby?) got to our property he phoned me within a couple of hours to say that the sprinklers were working but they just needed a new bonnet. He took care of that, set the timer for us... and told us that Steve would be out in the next day or so to take a look at the fountain.
Like clockwork... Steve went out on Tuesday to check out the fountain and found the basin and pump were plugged with a bunch of Podocarpus roots. He cleaned them all out and got our fountain running again! He even took photos and videos to show us the progress. For the fountain work he just charged us his hourly rate, for the couple of hours of work.
All in all we are SO happy with the job Steve and his team did. He's forever in my rolodex (remember those?) should we have any additional issues. He's quick, reliable, super friendly and reasonably priced. We heartily recommend him!

Adding to my review. Problem popped up. Steve rushed right out and fixed it. We live in LA County, so that's not an easy order to fill, AND the problem was unrelated to the work they previously did. I'd give SIX STARS but Yelp only allows FIVE. Don't go anywhere else for help with your sprinklers

I found Steve on Yelp and called him to fix fix a broken water line in my sprinkler system. He provided excellent service, was on time, and charged a reasonable price. While he was out, he also found and replaced a leaking valve that I did not notice. I plan to reschedule him to do a complete tune-up of my system.

Our sprinkler system was a mess and we've been manually watering our lawn, front and back, for 4 months now.
Dale came out and assessed the situation. He and his team completely repaired and, pretty much, redesigned our entire system. Now, we have our lawn and trees watered automatically without lifting a finger! 3 hours/night saved! Additionally, it's now being watered, corner:corner....no more dry/dirt spots, just beautiful growing grass.

Great service and was super knowledgable about every possible type of system. I have an older RainDial in the front and a newer Orbit system in the back and both were out. Steve got them both working in a half hour. I had been trying to fix them myself for weeks, but I needed a pro.
I called OC Sprinkler Repair at the worst time possible - the July heatwave! They communicated clearly that they were very busy. I Left a message and they called me back the next day even though they were slammed. We set an appointment for a few days later and they came and began the project that fixed all my sprinklers. I had neglected my sprinklers over the years - and I have a large property. They tuned the 60 sprinklers I had, one by one. They fixed 15 broken / leaky sprinklers, replaced all sprayers, and found / fixed 3 pipe breaks. I also asked them to replace 5 of my 9 station valves and wiring. The quote seemed expensive at first, but after working here 2-3 days with as many as 4-5 guys at a time - wow! It was really needed and the price was great. It's been a few weeks now and the grass is green again, water pressure and spray patterns are perfect, and with all the leaks fixed I'm expecting big savings on my water bill. I'm proud of my yards and gardens again. Great customer service too: from communications with Amarette in scheduling and billing, to Dale (their lead field manager and hard working, pleasant, funny, sprinkler expert), to all the workers... As well as Steve the owner, who sets forth a culture of commitment. And checks into make sure you're happy. Yes there were a few times they had to juggle the massive requests for service they were under, and a few times they asked for my patience, but they always made the right things happen. I recommend them greatly. They'll be doing all my sprinkler stuff going forward on both properties I own.

Steve and crew are super professional. I've used them in the past to trim trees on my former house and have always done a great job! They were able to take out roots to save the lawn, tree as well as help keep it away from pipes that go out to the street.
This time I called them to check out my new house and it's sprinkler system. I was concerned about how the timer was set and all of the drip irrigation. I called to make an appt and Melissa was very helpful in setting up a time to have someone come over and make recommendations.
The Boss Man, Steve came over to my house to check it out. He's so knowledgable...he took a look at everything, checked out the timer and each zone, adjusted a few things and said you're good to go. No price gouging, no crazy talk like replacing everything just a good honest business man that is a craftsman in his trade. Thanks OC Sprinkler! You guys are awesome.
They did a great job. The first guy worked so hard and diligently looked for our leak all over. He even came back after dark to finish the work. We still had an issue and the owner sent someone out immediately to take care of it. He did an excellent job too. Last, the owner followed up the next day to see if I was satisfied with the results. That never happens and it was so appreciated. Extremely fair price for the work that they did. Highly recommend.
Last Wednesday I woke up to basically a neighborhood pool party front my backyard sprinklers. We called and Steve came out and fixed the problem. They were fast efficient and easy to deal with. I definitely recommend them for any of your sprinkler repairs.
They have been to my house twice once for a problem for $82 and the other was working on all of my sprinklers...they did a great job both times. I got bids from 3 diff companies but they had the second best price but seemed to have the most expertise so I went with them. No regrets

Steve diagnosed and fixed a leak in our drip irrigation system today. The problem was a faulty valve that wasn't closing all the way, leaving a steady trickle going to the lowest point in the line. He only replaced the valve, saving us money, and he checked the second valve to ensure it was working properly. He also took the time to explain everything he proposed, did the work, and explained and showed me what he'd done. All tested and taken care of in short order. Fair price for the work. I'll be using Steve from now on!

I am a huge fan of Orange County Sprinkler Repair! I've been a loyal customer, first at my home in Irvine, and now in San Clemente, for almost 10 years now. The latest job was a mix of sprinkler maintenance, landscape lighting replacement, and landscape maintenance. They showed up on time, were focused and detail-oriented with the different aspects of the project, and as usual, it was affordable. These guys are great. I called and talked to Steve who sent his son out within an hour to look at my sprinkler problem. I have a 12 station system and one was not working at all and another was weeping 24 hours a day. None of the 12 stations were working as they should (20 years old system) and I decided to have all 12 valves replaced. This was not the cheapest solution I could have gone with but rather than fix only two and wait for the rest to completely fail I decided to be proactive. Steve and his son replaced all of the valves in a couple of hours at a very reasonable rate and I am very pleased. All 12 stations are now working like they probably did 29 years ago. If you have any kind of sprinkler issue, these are the guys to call.
Needed a sprinkler line repaired. Steve was very responsive and kept me updated with availability even though they were fairly busy. Todd came out and fixed the line per my direction of most efficient and least costly. He then took time to look at some of my other sprinkler heads while there. Very knowledgeable and friendly. Definitely worth the wait to have them do repairs. Would use them again.
I just used Orange County Sprinkler Repair for the first time when a main line in my front yard broke. Their staff were able to identify and fix the problem quickly and even did a few adjustments to some sprinkler heads that needed tweeking. Their pricing was very reasonable, the guys who did my fixes were very nice and my lawn was put back very nicely. They were called in by plumbers who severed sprinkler lines in a dig. They worked at it with the determination to solve the issue and many hours later not only had the lines fixed with a work-around, but working better than ever. Very professional and we recommend them highly.
I requested a quote about 10pm last night and got a response right away. We scheduled for this morning and Dale showed up on time at 7:45. It took him about 15 min to assess the situation and provide a quote. He said they could get it done this morning if I wanted. Hooray! Another guy showed up and about 3 hours later they were completely finished and everything works great! They even fixed some stuff in the front yard that wasn't part of the original estimate and the final price was lower than the quote! Great service. Friendly guys. Happy to recommend!
Orange County Sprinkler Repair has completed repairing and adjusting my sprinklers as well as installing a drip system in large above ground planters. Roger and his partner did a very impressive job. Roger carefully explained what needed to be done and finished Iin the time he said it would take. Explaining that I should call back if I needed additional service, I was presented will a very fair bill considering the amount of work done. From my first call to Steve, to his friendly, efficient staff, this is a company that will do an excellent job for a fair price. Call them for all your sprinkler needs.
Outstanding service hands down!! Steve is a true professional something that's hard to find nowadays. Our sprinkler system had been shut down for a couple years Steve quickly did some trouble shooting and got it running despite having some angry honeybees swarming above his head not only professional but brave as well. Unfortunately as with anything that has not worked in a couple years some issues arose as we ran the system we called to see if we could get them resolved and Steve came right back and took care of it. We wanted a tune up to get the most out of our sprinklers during the drought. Steve came when we expected and was even kind enough to return a check when we paid them twice.
The repairman isn't to blame for this review. I'm sure he would have done an excellent job if I'd ever seen him again. The office staff just needs an overhaul. Had my original appointment delayed twice. They eventually came out and figured out the problem and said they needed to go get parts. Two voice messages later to schedule a return and nothing. I had to get Nick at ACE Repair and he knocked it out in three hours.
Steve was super responsive, and although Whittier was out of their normal range- he sent someone out to help us repair our sprinklers. Todd was the person on duty- he was professional, friendly did great work and all at a very fair price. Other folks gave me the run around but OC sprinkler repair was honest, and did excellent work. Thank you Steve and Todd for helping us with our sprinklers! We recommend your business to anyone who asks and can't say enough wonderful things. Thank you again!

These guys are our go-to sprinkler repair company. They replaced a whole slew of leaking valves for us. A year later, one of the valves failed and they came back out and replaced it at no charge! We will be using them for all our irrigation needs!

Great experience with Steve at OC Sprinkler Repair - good work done quickly at a fair price.
I contacted Steve to help me solve an irrigation leak that had caused my HOA water bill to jump 10x our normal usage. He was highly communicative in setting up our appointment and was upfront about pricing and the road forward.
Steve arrived on time and got right to it, assessing the whole system and identifying issues both in the hardware (sprinkler heads and valves) and software (automated timer). We had a myriad of little issues that all added up to dumping about a 20x40 foot pool's worth of extra water the prior month. Steve mapped out the system and marked down the problems, then got to work replacing individual components (instead of the more expensive route of digging up the whole valve boxes and replacing the whole valves).
Steve was clear about pricing and timing, and we got the whole issue solved in a couple of hours. He emailed me an invoice after walking me through each line and we shook hands over a job well done.
I highly recommend OC Sprinkler Repair for your irrigation needs.
Great and fast service. Called this company - among others - because I have a leak somewhere. At first I believed it was the sprinkler system however Steve was able to isolate the problem and confirm that the leak is from somewhere else. His service call was short, sweet and free. Before his visit I had Bob' sprinkler service who despite the fact that he couldn't confirm where the leak came from he wanted to change/re-route my sprinkler system and charge me over $800.00. Not to mention that he charged me $140.00 for the consultation!
I had an issue with my sprinklers where they would not stop, I went to the front of my house to switch off at the main input and the handle broke! I called a plumbing company (RooterHero) who came out and told me it would cost $800-$900 to fix the issue. I am no expert in these types of things but that seemed extraordinarily high for what appeared to be a valve replacement. I declined the plumbers offer and called Orange County Sprinkler Repair who had somebody with me within 2 hours, he fixed the valve and stopped the leak in under an hour and the cost was a fraction of the price I was quoted by the other company. I will certainly be recommending Orange County Sprinkler Repair to my friends and wouldn't hesitate to use them again.
Steve is not a person who would try to rip you off. Give him a call for an honest professional opinion. He drove to my house to take a look at my sprinkler system and gave me a free estimate. I would definitely call him if my sprinkler system fails.

I had a small accident with my lawnmower and sprinklers this morning :) I called Steve and after telling him that I had realtors coming to take pictures of my house later and I would rather not have a huge hole in my year, he came right over! He was able to quickly assess the problem and then went right to work fixing it. I am really impressed with the timely manner, customer service, and he was able to help me out and on a Saturday none-the-less. Would definitely call again!

Steve came out to troubleshoot a nagging problem with two sprinkler zones that multiple previous experts were unable to resolve. Although the problem isn't fully resolved yet, it's obvious to my wife and I that Steve knows what he's doing and that he's committed to solving the problem. We're in the process of scheduling a day for him to return and complete the job. My wife and I appreciate the fact that he's looking for the least expensive, but most effective solution. His hourly rate isn't cheap, but the old adage is true: you get what you pay for. The only real challenge with Steve is that he's super busy; no doubt a reflection of his abilities and the power of word - of - mouth marketing from other happy customers. He's also a certified arborist who provided us with a reasonable bid for trimming our trees. I'll report back further after the sprinkler problem is put to rest and also in the fall after he's trimmed our trees.
Steve had one of his supervisor's come out (Dale) who was terrific. He did a fantastic job in just a few hours of fine tuning our sprinklers.
And then today Steve came by and replaced two old sprinkler heads free of charge! Great people, great service!!!

I thought my valve are leaking so I immediately found Orange County Sprinkler on Yelp and I am glad I did. They came on time and inspect it. Guess what? It wasn't a leak issue. It's just the previous house owner didn't raise the valve box above the ground lever for 6-12 which he should and I was advised with multiple options and wasn't forced to fix the issue right away as there's no leaking. I decided to leave it as is until the valve stops working and I will definitely call them again to do the job.
Another good thing is, the drove all the way to my house and inspected it . Although I decided not to fix it right away, they didn't charge me for the inspection. What a nice service.

I had a broken pipe and called out 2 sprinkler repair people before I called OC Sprinkler. The 1st one wanted to redone whole system and charge $500. The 2nd guy came out and didn't find the leak and wanted to replace a pressure value. Finally I found OC Sprinkler and in 10 mins found the leak fixed it and replaced a few bad sprinkler heads and only charged $150. Wow thanks guys you are amazing and will be my 1st call next time.
I came home to a broken sprinkler valve and needed someone to come out to my house asap. After turning off the main water line, the sprinkler was still spraying and would continue to spray until it was replaced. I called OC Sprinkler Repair and spoke with Steve. He was wonderful from the very start. He told me he or one of his guys would get out to me as soon as possible. . My problem needed fast attention and I appreciate him doing whatever he could to fix it . He called back within 10 min to tell me he was on the way.He arrived 10 minutes later with Trevor and they got right to work.
They replaced the valve, charged me a very fair and reasonable price- especially for it being an emergency situation. Both Steve and Trevor were polite, respectful and professional. They saved the day for me and I plan on having them out whenever I have another sprinkler or watering issues. Also, plan on recommending them to friends and family who are in need of a sprinkler overhauls and repairs.

Stop looking elsewhere, these are the people you want. On multiple occasions I have called these guys with problems ranging from full dig-up-the pipes and repair to why won't my sprinkler shut off? and they have made every effort to handle my issue within 2 hours of my call, sometimes even less! They don't stop until it's handled and go way out of their way to help me. This is service at it's finest. My house has over 20 watering zones on almost 2 acres of land and they diagnosed my issues within minutes of arriving. They are the absolute best. Seriously call these guys now. Not to mention that they charged me at the biggest project less than $500 (and it was a hefty, muddy, soaked job) to absolutely no charge for a simple fix. Kudos to Steve and Dale for rocking it.

Steve was very helpful. I called because one of my sprinkler zones was stuck on. I live in Long Beach, so instead of coming out and charging to just take a look, he had me send him a picture of my shut off valves. He then walked me through how to manually shut off the zone, and didn't even charge for the consultation!
He then diagnosed the issue and gave me a very reasonable quote. Overall, happy with the customer service, and highly recommend them for any sprinkler needs. Very knowledgeable!
On Sunday morning we woke up to a busted sprinkler line. Water was gushing out and the side of our house was flooded. I did not think we would ever find someone to come out to our house as fast as Steve did. I spoke to him around 8 am and he was here by 9. He did great work and his price was reasonable, considering it was and emergency Sunday morning job. I would definitely recommend OC Sprinkler Repair.

Steve runs the sprinkler repair business & responded quickly to our request for help. His crew was able to quickly isolate the leak in our yard and worked hard to fix it for us in a timely manor. Price for repair was fair & they nicely put the yard back together when finished.
Steve was amazing! I called him on a Sunday morning with an emergency repair and he got to the house promptly, fixed the problem, and even went the extra yard to add a shut off valve to avoid another emergency issue going forward. His prices,even on a Sunday, were extremely reasonable. He really helped me out and I highly recommend him. I'll definitely be calling him in the future for any sprinkler related issues.

Todd assessed the issue quickly and knew exactly what was needed. Quick estimate and was out the next day. VERY thorough, friendly, helpful, and efficient! He replaced the sprinkler heads or valves, capped one that was not needed, programmed the timer, and all for a nominal fee! No more water runoff and money saved!
Steve and his team are excellent. They came and did a fairly extensive upgrade on the 30+ year old irrigation system on a house I bought in Mission Viejo. They worked with me to get to my house as quickly as possible in their schedule on short notice (because the deferred maintenance of the prior owner meant the sprinklers needed attention immediately), did an excellent and thorough job, and even came back to troubleshoot a couple of minor things. I really can't say enough good things about them.

I worked with Steve at OC Sprinkler Repair and these guys are fantastic. I found them here on Yelp and gave them a call because of their great reviews, and I can now see why they have such a great reputation.
I'd been neglecting my front yard sprinkler system ever since I moved in last year, and I have a lot of dead spots because some of the sprinklers were broken and most of them needed adjustments. I was also having a wiring issue and only a handful of the sprinklers were working on the timer.
I called Steve and he was on a different job in the area and said he could come by later that day. I thought I was going to have to leave work to meet up with him, but he said since it was in the front yard he could just work on it for me without me there so I didn't have to take time off. He called me later that day to let me know that he had repaired or replaced all of my sprinklers that were having issues and resolved my wiring problem.
I didn't have to leave work and didn't even have to pay up front - Steve just emailed me an invoice a couple days later. The price was lower than I had anticipated. I'll definitely be using OC Sprinkler Repair for any and all irrigation work I need done in the future.
Get this... Came out in less than an hour in an emergency situation where I was leaking a gallon every minute on a Saturday when it was raining. Had the pvc pipes cut, replaced the valves and my sprinklers up and running in about a half an hour. THEN, gave me $20 off. How is that for service? I'm keeping Steve's card next to the sprinkler timer and will call and refer anytime.
Discovered a water leak in my flower pot drip line, and despite turning off the sprinklers valves, water continued to splash out from the drip line connecting to the main drip system. Chose this company based on excellent Yelp reviews hoping I can get same day service since my call to the office was less then 2 hours before closing. Carrie in the office contacted Steve the owner, thankfully, he was able to accommodate and adjusted the valves pressure as well as reconnected a loose drip line. He also was very informative on our sprinklers valves system. Suggested a different valve to better control the pressure, but he didn't try to up sell what he recommended, and just charged us a very reasonable minimal fee. Will definitely use Steve again in the future based on his company's quick response, his knowledge/skills, and his friendly demeanor.

I had a pressurized water pipe fail under a tree in my backyard and while two other contractors came and said they couldn't fix it and would likely have to tear up expensive custom hardscape, Steve and his guys took on the challenge and won. Unreal service in this day and age when contractors are often so reluctant and unhelpful. I cannot recommend highly enough.

We used OC Sprinkler Repair to put in sod in our backyard and to add a drip system to our planters. They also put in new sprinklers in our backyard. They did an excellent job and we are so happy with the final product. Steve and John were both very knowledgeable and did the job right. We will definitely use them in the future for all of our landscaping needs. I am posting a few pictures of the final product.
My Automatic Sprinklers would not turn off without shutting off the main water supply. They could not come out that day, but walked me through how to shut it off without shutting down the main. Fixed the issue over the phone for No Charge. Amazing Service.

Steve is amazing and runs an A+ business. We hired them to bring our 45 year old sprinkler system up to date. They replaced and relocated sprinklers, installed automatic valves, and installed drip lines in flower beds. Great work! We had a minor hiccup a month after the install (probably the fault of the previous homeowner) and called Steve again. He came over the same day and fixed our issue without hesitation. He stands behind is work and did a fantastic job.
Thank you John was a top notch guy and took time over a span of a week to get his hands dirty and really work hard and fix our very old and outdated sprinkler system. Thank you would love to do business again!
I found this company on Yelp. Even being busy, they made time for me in their schedule. I had a brand new sprinkler head that was leaking and bent. The job ended up being more than planned, but Todd came and got it done. Even got my sprinkler timer in the backyard, back to turning on the sprinklers. He also gave sound advice on what I can do with my front yard once my remodel is done. He went above and beyond today, I truly appreciate it.
If you are having irrigation issues, make this company your go to. Fast, reliable, work hard, fairly priced, the owner and Todd are very personable and polite as well, and they actually care, which in this day and age is hard to find. I'm thinking they can refer me to a landscaper that have the same values.
I will no longer rely on my gardener to do my sprinkler work, as they clearly didn't do it correctly (a couple months ago) the first time around.

I am involved with a local little league and we have run into a series of issues this year with our grounds. I was dealing with our former landscaper/irrigator because they were familiar with our system. After a month and a half of poor correspondence, I finally gave up and called Steve. They came out quickly, assessed our situation, and got our fields back up and running. They are now our only irrigators.
We had another situation arise where all of our power lines were stolen, therefore taking away our ability to run the sprinklers off of our timer. I informed Steve and Trevor ended up taking time to research possible alternatives. Great customer service and pride in their work.
My last interaction with them was to finish up the rest of the fields with head replacement. Dale came out and was as nice as can be. They did a ton of work within a couple of hours. It would have taken me days!
Overall, their price, professionalism, and integrity cannot be beat. Thank you guys for stepping up and helping us out in a huge time of need!
So last week, Pete and Trevor found the initial problem causing our lawn sprinklers to not work (see earlier review). All this was visible and worked great looking at it from our property,
What we couldn't see was that one of the sprinkler pipes for the bushes has been split and moved under the wall between our property and our neighbors. They were experiencing water runoff we thought was part of their system.
When it was obvious the leak was from ours, contacted Trevor who had Pete back out. A more complex and labor intensive problem than the first due the extensive root growth, but Pete work his magic.
The owner, Steve, called personally to make sure we were satisfied... very! My only problem is they core business is sprinkler repair... seriously wish the did yard maintenance as well, they're that concerned about your satisfaction.

I called Steve at 7:00 PM on a Sunday night because one of my sprinkler heads flew off and the valve was busted and water was spraying everywhere. He immediately knew what the problem was over the phone (I know nothing about terminology or anything about how a sprinkler system works) and I was able to shut the water off to the sprinkler. My wife and I both work during the day so he was willing to get to my house at 7:00am to fix my problem before I had to leave for work. He did a great job, he fixed it quickly, and he didn't try to charge me for any unnecessary repairs. His price was very reasonable for the quality of work, and he always answered his phone and he showed up right on time. I would recommend him to anybody in need of a good sprinkler repair!

Irrigation valve not shutting off. Steve replied within a couple hours, he and Trevor were onsite that same afternoon. Trevor replaced a stuck valve, adjusted the water pressure and reprogrammed an old timer. We were back in business. The cost was resonable and the service was prompt. Friendly, honest guys. This review is long overdue! Steve and crew came out a few months ago. My yard (front and back) were a sprinkler nightmare. I live on 3/4 of an acre and the sprinkler system was done in 1995 - you do the math, a nightmare. Steve and crew and worked a couple of days in front and backyard and this is the first time EVER that my lawn doesn't have brown spots. I've always fought brown patches due to inadequate coverage. I also had large areas where grass never grew. The lawn in the back is now thick, lush and green. He and his crew did a wonderful job and Steve even followed up several times to check on everything. They came back after a couple of times to adjust some of the sprinklers, but that's to be expected considering the nightmare he walked into when the project started. He knew I was very budget driven and he worked within my budget. I couldn't be happier. Not only that, I own another home in Long Beach and will soon be using him to do some work there. He and his crew are great!
Paid $110 for a guy to come out and say the sprinkler that is broken and leaking, was not actually leaking but it just hadn't been turned off tightly enough. Wandered around a bit and dug up the sprinkler pipes a bit to note they were both pvc and galvanized, then checked the meter and declared there was no leak. Because it started to rain and it continued to rain it was difficult to determine if this was true. Now that the rain is temporarily over, it is obvious the sprinkler is, indeed, leaking. $110 for 15 minutes of nothing.
Oh, and when I handed the guy the check for $110 - which is what he told me it was - he said it was only $109. Seriously?
And their version of a receipt is a tiny business card with the price written on it.

Weekend calls/ after hour calls are the worst, usually for the customer needing the service because he/she knows they are going to pay a higher price and the party providing service because the customer is panicked and irrational at times.
Steve at OC Sprinkler made it out to my home on a Sunday and was amazing to work with. He really knows his trade and is very fair in his prices. He explained the whole way, what he was doing and alternative costs and options. He even shared the risks in advance on some of the options so if we chose that, and things went wrong, I knew in advance.
He didn't mind me hanging over his shoulder either which was nice.
Overall, I am very pleased that I randomly found him on Yelp and will be using his service again.

I call Steve The Sprinkler Whisperer because after purchasing a large property on over an acre of land, we turned on the sprinkler system and found it was a quagmire of old systems installed over new ones, many leaks and dead systems. We interviewed 4 different contractors. One never came back, one charged so much to do nothing and the other one just got cold feet and told us that it was beyond his knowledge. Not Steve! He was very honest and up front about the whole job (mess) and set a plan in place to take care of the entire job in phases. He explained a game plan that worked within our budget AND met all of our needs while keeping our water usage as the primary focus for setting up the new systems that also incorporated some of the old to save us unnecessary costs. He is so trustworthy and always comes through for us. He sometimes gets emergency smaller jobs that pulls him off our job, but he always keeps us well informed on his progress. The best service I've ever received! I messaged them and they were so quick to respond. They sent a guy over to fix my sprinkler pipes and valve within the hour. The guy was super nice and fixed it all within an hour. I've had sprinkler guys come before and they weren't nearly as good as this company. A very low price and came in such short notice with nice and professional customer service. Call them up immediately!
We had Steve over yesterday to troubleshoot our sprinkler controller system. He is a genius! He and his helper spent a few hours troubleshooting the mess of wires all around the house and was able to connect all the zones back to my smart controller. He skipped his lunch and almost missed his dinner appointment as well making sure he finished up the same day. Highly recommend Steve and OC Sprinkler Repair.

Steve is awesome!! I told the receptionist 10am is the best time for me and he was at my door at 9:55! I called him because I couldn't figure out why my front sprinklers weren't turning on so he did some investigating and not only fixed the original problem but solved another issue that we were trying to figure out. He also replaced the sprinkler heads that were faulty so now I don't have to worry about any dry spots or flooding. Im really glad we called his company. He was very friendly, funny, thorough, and reasonably priced for the amount of time he spent on our sprinklers!

I never thought I'd write a Yelp for a sprinkler repair service, but these guys more than deserve it! I live and work out 50 miles of the area and my Anaheim rental's sprinkler heads were in need of dire & desperate repair/replacement. I called around a few places from the web and got varied responses. One company would only check out the job if I met him there. One guy required $45.00 just to drive over and quote me. 2 never did return my message requesting service; (how are some of these guys in business)? More than one number was no longer in service...
Fortunately for me, OC Sprinkler Repair returned my initial call within 90 minutes of my message. Trevor told me he'd have someone out to the house first thing the next morning! After scoping the job, Dale called me with a quote about 10:00am and with my ok over the phone, they went to work; that day. Didn't ask me to sign anything, no cc over the phone, nothing! Just my verbal to do a $700.+ job with only my phone call!
I called to pay them the next afternoon and they were more concerned with how I thought the job came out than my payment! What kind of place is this?! AWESOME that's what! They wanted me to check out the sprinklers and the overall job before I paid them! I had to seed and fertilize, so I went out that Saturday to check out the new heads. Dale replaced them all and even some pipe repair work under the sidewalk he wasn't expecting to do. The overhaul took longer than he quoted but kept the quote the same.
They've just earned a customer for life. I'm wanting to put these sprinklers on a timer next year and when I do, I'm not even going to get quotes. I know OC Sprinkler Repair will do it quickly and priced right!! Thanks OCSR!

I called Steve for the first time to repair the sprinkler at one of my tenants house in Irvine.
Which leaked at the back of the house and hoped that was it.
But after couple days, my tenants still had the same issue with too much water in the backyard.
So I called Steve again to stop by to check what the problem was which he did and found out that it was a broken main pipe line.
Steve went above and beyond to dig the mud, cut the 40 year old pipe and find the right parts(hardest part) in order to fix it.

Called this guy and left a message. I get a call back with him babbling about property terminology. All I want is an appointment and he tells me how busy he is. Calls me back later and thinks I am another customer who called and confuses our two problems...again with the lecture...that he must finish before I can tell him he is confusing me with someone else. He sends a guy to check it out, doesnt call me to meet him as we had agreed, talks to my tenant who has no idea of whats going on. Calls me after I left town and says he cant do it...he doesnt have time. Completely unprofessional. Skip this guy.

I had occasion to have Orange County Sprinkler Repair help me with my aging sprinkler system. The immediate issue was a leaky valve which they arrived promptly to fix. We then made arrangements for them to return a week or so later for a comprehensive tune-up. All work was completed promptly, professionally and at a very fair and reasonable price. Steve and Trevor are genuinely great people and it was a pleasure to work with them. I will definitely work with them again and I recommend them enthusiastically and without reservation.
This is my second 5-star review of OC Sprinkler Repair. About a year ago they did a large job for me at an excellent price; I discovered some problems with it which they immediately came out and fixed. Good show. This time, I called late one afternoon to ask if they could fix one single leaking sprinkler I had discovered. The very next morning they had a technician on my property who not only fixed that sprinkler, but also found and fixed two other leaking sprinklers that I had not even noticed, again at an excellent price. Very good show.
I have read some of the negative reviews of this business (and there are really only a very few negative reviews of it at all), and I do understand that in any large business that provides skilled work to many customers a few things inevitably will go wrong once in a while. That said, there are very many other positive 5-star reviews, and they and I are enthusiastically favorable about OC Sprinkler Repair. This business certainly will be the first place I go the next time I need sprinkler work done.

Super fast! Super kind! Super honest! I am a person who does not have a single idea about gardening, but Steve is the guy for the people like me. He showed up a day after I've contacted him and fixed my broken pipe without any difficulty! Reliable guy!! I would recommend him to anyone who ever asks. Thank you for coming all the way up to my place Steve!
I recently purchased a house that had a sprinkler system not updated since the 1980s. I wasn't sure where to begin since some of the fixtures worked but others didn't and had no idea whether it was the controls, lines, or fixtures.
I called OC Sprinklers and they had a crew come out within a couple days. In a few minutes they figured out the main problems with both my regular sprinklers as well as the drip/mist lines. They replaced all the old steel sprinkler units with modern, efficient heads that use way less water now. They reconfigured the placement of a couple sprinklers as well so they weren't watering get the concrete walkway and provide better coverage. All this for a reasonable price!
A few weeks later I had them install a filter system on both my drip lines to prevent to lines from getting clogged. The filter is easy to use and I can now clean out the build up on my own. About three weeks after this install I noticed some of the heads were staying on like they were stuck or something. I called Steve and he sent out a crew that day and they found the problem and fixed it no charge! This service is professional, knowledgable, and honest.
One last note that I mistakenly wrote a larger amount for the second install and OC Sprinklers called me up right away and said I had made a mistake. They sent the check back to me and I paid the correct amount with a new bill. Seriously, if you need Althea job done right, call OC Sprinklers.
Talk about customer service! !! When an emergency came about and I needed help without being able to pay right away (we weren't even home when the trouble arose), they went out of their way to be there immediately and figured out a short term solution, as well as came back and fixed it permanently the next day. Given it was an end of day, emergent call, the price was completely reasonable. We are so grateful for their exceptional customer service and will be using them whenever any issues arise and highly recommend their services to everyone!!
I had a broken sprinkler head that I couldn't fix as well as a zone that wasn't working. They came out the day I called and Todd was quick to repair the sprinkler and diagnose the zone issue. He found that that particular zone had not been programmed! Fast, fair pricing, knew what they were doing, what more can you ask for? Well the cherry on top was that later that evening Steve, the owner, actually called as a follow up to make sure the repair had been done to my satisfaction! That is service that is unheard of these days and puts Orange County Sprinkler Repair in a class of their own.
Dale was excellent! He was clean, professional, and knowledgeable. He was 5 minutes early and a pleasure to have working at my home. I will use him in the future.

I really tried to use these guys based upon their excellent Yelp reviews. Unfortunately, La Habra is apparently on the outskirts of our service area and after a week of exchanging phone calls and texts I finally gave up. Called Central Plumbing and they were there in minutes.
Brian Torres came out and did a fantastic job. Was very personable and took care of every problem I had. Came ready to work with help and tools in hand and got right down to business. Tremendous outfit! They immediately saw some valves were siphoning meaning they were leaking water. My water bill has been through the roof. Also, the timer was not working even though I had replaced the power supply. The fuse has a little tag that says it can't be blown by the timer. Steve read the tag and said, I disagree. Yup, the fuse was blown. He went and picked up a new fuse. He could have sold me a new timer! Honest, skilled, and reasonable. Highly recommended.

A few weeks back our sprinkler system stopped working normally and lost water pressure on all sprinkler heads. I found out about Orange County Sprinkler Repair on Yelp and left them a message. They called me back and scheduled Steve to look at the system and diagnose the problem. Steve dropped by on a Saturday afternoon, identified the problem and proposed a few solutions to move forward. We were getting new plants installed and I wanted the sprinklers to be fixed at the earliest. Steve worked me into his schedule and showed up with Dale Monday morning as promised. They revamped our sprinklers , installed new heads to ensure optimal coverage, capped heads that we were not being used and also installed a new timer. They were done before noon and we had the sprinklers up and running for our new garden.
They're very professional and I feel they charge reasonably. I'm very satisfied with my experience using Orange County Sprinkler Repair and I would recommend them without hesitation.
Trevor came out and installed 2 new valves. Did a fantastic job. Quality of work was top notch. Response time was fast. Price was good. I would recommend them for anyone needing irrigation system repair.
We have REALLY old grey PVC pipes that look like electrical conduit and they are crumbling. We knew we had a leak SOMEWHERE because our water bill was going up despite decreased water use, and there were no leaks in the home. I texted Steve and I was able to get a service call the next day. Todd was able to help us determine where the leak was and get right to work repairing it without needing to leave to go get parts. He had everything on hand. He also helped clean out some clogged sprinkler heads and replace a couple of newly broken ones.
We've used another company before (like I said, crumbling old PVC so something goes wrong every few months since we bought the house last year), but OC Sprinkler Repair was actually less expensive than the previous repairs and, so I'll be calling them the next time something breaks.
I had a sprinkler station go out in the backyard and called Steve at Orange County Sprinkler Repair for a bid (I called 4 in all), and went with Steve based on our phone discussion, Yelp reviews and reasonable estimate. Steve was able to come the next day to diagnose the problem quickly. It turns out that the bad valve was actually buried 3 inches under ground (no wonder I could not find it). Nice piece of diagnostic work by Steve.
He sent one of his guys (John) the next day with the parts to replace the valve. This was no simple task as the valve was in a difficult spot with limited work space and palm roots everywhere. John won the battle though and completed the work that day and I was back in service. The work was done in a professional manner and at a reasonable price. John was also great, friendly, and efficient, and most importantly, skilled at what he does.

This individual was busy, but I take that as a good sign. He arrived at the appointment on time, clearly knew what he was doing, corrected the problem and did it in a competent and professional manner, left to he work area clean, and the price was very fair. Outstanding job.
Steve and his crew did a great job installing several drains in our yard to fix our flooding issue! They were all professional, courteous and on time. The price was also reasonable for the amount of work they did. We will definitely call them for our next project!
Frankly, I'm surprised there are so many good reviews for this company. I contacted via text and he was initially responsive with calls and text. We set up an appointment later in the week. During that whole week he contacted me sporadically asking if I might accommodate his coming at different times, then changing his mind. I thought, no problem, as we still had an appointment later that week that he would keep. That appointment comes, and he texts me and says, Sorry, but I'm not going to be able to help you with your sprinklers. My apologies, but no thank you. Clearly he didn't want/need the work, but to waste my time all week only to flake on us, even after my husband missed work to meet him was extremely rude and unprofessional. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Steve was great! He was able to come out the same day that I called and was very helpful. He was able to fix all of my concerns and was reasonably priced. I called him for a sprinkler repair and found out that he was also an Arborist that was able to help me with some tree concerns. Call Steve, he's the BEST!!
I had a multiple puddles in my backyard on a Sunday morning. I called Steve that morning and he was at my house shortly thereafter. Since the exact nature of the problem was not very clear, he suggested a plan to figure out the problem so it can be resolved. I think I know the problem after doing exactly what he said and am about to call him again to work on the repairs. Great guy with excellent service and a wealth of knowledge.

I had two leaks in my sprinkler system and no knowledge about valves, pressure regulators, or anything else. I was getting what turned out to be bad advice from a landscaper about what needed to be done. Other companies were very difficult to schedule appointments with.
Steve and Trevor were amazingly professional. They were reachable, always called back when they promised to, and worked hard to reschedule me when I had to cancel on them at the last minute. When Steve came out to evaluate my system, he was on time. He demonstrated how to maintain and clean the valves, and provided me with invaluable information. His assessment was honest and, unlike the other person, I was confident that his first priority was not to maximize his profits, but to help me optimize the performance of my sprinkler system in the most cost-efficient manner.
If I ever have a problem with my sprinkler system again, I would not hesitate to call Orange County Sprinkler Repair.
We had tried another service listed on the rain bird website and upon the service visit it was very clear, they only had one intention and that was to sell us on a new device. My gut was telling me something isn't adding up so I did a little research and came across OC sprinkler and was connected with steve and his team. You could tell in talking with him and getting to the root of things this would be a much different experience. He was able to solve all my problems, walked me through why and didn't try to sell me on anything I didn't need. He had the whole job complete in one visit and at a reasonable price. I had my sprinkler system resurrected by OC Sprinkler Repair back In October 2018. I figured the drought was over so my lawn could become green again. They came in and did a professional job and the yard looks great now. They did the job in about two days.
Recently Steve came out after hours because my timer wasn't getting any power and wasn't watering. Even though he couldn't pinpoint the solution at that time I appreciate his dedication. After a little tracing by me I found that I had inadvertently unplugged the power cord to the timer to plug in my water pump during the deluge on Valentines Day 2019. I never thought to plug it back in. Once I did that it worked as before.

This company is the BEST!!! I called them about some wire damage caused by a chewing puppy and they came out to my home a few hours later. WOW, very fast service. Oscar was very friendly and professional. He had the problem fixed in no time and now my sprinklers are hooked back up to the timer. YEAH, no more manual turning on and off!! They are HONEST and their prices are reasonable....a very rare trait these days! I won't hesitate to use them again if the need ever arises in the future. THANK YOU!!!!
This company is fantastic. We had a control valve bust open on a Sunday morning and weren't sure what to do. We called Steve at OC Sprinkler Repair (based on his YELP reviews!) and he called right back, talked us through a couple of suggestions, and even offered to come out if none of those worked. Yesterday my neighbor alerted me to a broken sprinkler head that was shooting water all over the place. I called OC Sprinkler repair and Steve and his crew came out first thing this morning and fixed it. They also looked around and found a couple of other issues that they fixed or told me to keep an eye on. No upsell, nice people, fair price, and in and out in no time. Great service at a great price. I initially had them come over for a single issue with a sprinkler leak, but I mentioned some banging pipe problems as well. They were able to come in within a couple of days and fix both. Would definitely hire again.
Our main sprinkler irrigation system broke on a Sunday afternoon and we had to shut off the main water system to our house to stop the flooding. We called several sprinkler repair companies and were only able to make an appointment right away with Steve. Within an hour, Steve was at our house to correct the problem. He was AMAZING! He was professional, courteous, and corrected the problem quickly. We were very impressed and grateful that he was able to come at the last moment...especially on a Sunday. We will definitely be hiring him again to fix and repair our old sprinkler system as well as other areas of our yard/trees. It is great to finally find a wonderful, honest repair man.

Great service, prompt response, reasonable prices, plus a follow-up call the next day. Had a sprinkler with a damaged pipe in a spot where there were invasive tree roots. It took a long time, about three hours, but Steve got the job done, tested the pressure, and the sprinklers work great. I plan on using Steve for tree trimming and other work too.

After reading all the 5 star reviews on Yelp, I contacted the company for a sprinkler repair service. Despite their busy schedule they were able to fit me in for a same day service.
Todd the technician was very knowledgeable and got all the necessary tools and skills to fix my issue. It was a tough problem with a broken swing joint tangled under a tree root and hard to access. I'm very impressed with the efficiency he handled the job, and the final cost is very reasonable too.
Moreover Todd was totally honest, patient with all my questions and courteous throughout the process. He never tried to upsell anything and minimized the fix to only things that are truly needed.
I was initially a bit susceptible about the uniform across the board 5 star reviews but my experience just corroborated it fully and beyond. Next time my sprinklers break I'd feel a lot more at ease knowing who to contact!

I couldn't recommend this company more. They are so efficient and friendly and their work product was exactly what I wanted.Steve and his team make sure customer service is their top priority and they have absolutely succeeded! This company will be my one and only call for any sprinkler needs in the future. My side yard sprinklers are now 100% automated, no more dragging the hose around the house for me!
Steve and his team did a great job on our sprinkler repair and was super kind and friendly. We bought our home 1.5 years ago and it came with a sprinkler system that was only partially working and wasting a lot of water. Now all of our sprinklers are working more evenly with better coverage. They even found several heads that had been grown over. Steve also came back to tend to one of the repairs that didn't set correctly and fixed it right away. I will be calling them for all future sprinkler needs.

I've used OC Sprinkler Repair a number of times, from changing out sprinkler heads to changing out pumps. They are easy to reach and quick to schedule a time to come to your residence.
Their work is flawless and their employees are friendly and professional. They will care about your lawn or garden as much as you do and make sure your sprinker system functions effectively.
All this and their prices are very reasonable.
I woke up with water leaking into in my backyard. I called Steve and told him. I also informed him I work for the Superior Court and it's difficult for me to take time off. He came out early the next Saturday morning to keep me from having to leave the court and fixed it promptly and professionally. What a great guy. Very professional and knowledgeable. I'd recommend him every day of the week and twice on Sunday. It's rare we find someone to work on your house that has integrity, honesty and work ethic that Steve has. I highly recommend him.

Steve is very knowledgeable about sprinkler systems and gave his honest opinion to my sprinkler needs. I would definitely call OC Sprinkler Repair again in the future.
I had a broken sprinkler pipe in a raised bed and I didn't recognize the seriousness of the problem until today. It was much to deep for me to try to figure out myself and probably explains my high water bill.
They were able to come in about an hour (!). Steve figured it out quickly. The guys had needed parts and salvaged my actuators to avoid having to dig out the six actuators that, were themselves, too low and too close together. They dug to the split pipe and coupling, replaced them, and checked out all stations and made sure they were working.
In two hours, my backyard was back in business. They did great!!

They came to do our rubber trees, remove 3 bird of paradise and cut some ivy. Very happy with the results :-)
Responded within 12 hours simply to ask for my full address. He indicated that without my full address he could not schedule an appointment (even though I had identified that I live in Aliso Viejo and provided my phone number along with a synopsis of the irrigation issue). That was on April 10th. Still waiting...........and it's 9 days later. Horrible customer service.
Very satisfied with my call to Steve and his team for an irrigation leak I had pop up in my front yard. Were able to send someone out the same day, quickly figure out what needed fixing, and replace it with solid results.
Everyone was very responsive, professional, and provided good explanations of what needed to be worked on or other suggestions for my set up that were more optional and not necessary at the moment. Appreciated their expertise and clarity in explaining everything to me

Steve came out to my place on two different occasions, both long after regular work hours and during some pretty hot weather. One time was to replace faulty valves, the second to mend a wire I had sliced through with a shovel. Still, both times he was polite, quick, and got the job done without any hassle. I haven't run into very many people who work the long grimy hours that Steve does and can still be pleasant at the end of the day AND do a good job.
Steve and Trevor are the Sprinkler Kings.. They communicate very effectively and know the business in the back of their heads and most of it all very professional and nice. I will definately refer them to anyone who needs any sprinkler services. Good job guys!! :)

Called Trevor for a repair to a main leak located under the valves. He sent out his technician Todd who confirm the diagnosis and made the repair within a couple of hours.

This was my first experience with OC Sprinkler Repair and I was very pleased with their quality of work. I called Steve concerned with low water pressure to my sprinkler heads and a potential leak along one of the pipes. Steve was able to identify a tree root that had compressed and broke a pipe and he was able to quickly and diligently resolve the problem in one day. Steve was very friendly and easy to work with and I would highly recommend considering him for all your sprinkler needs.
These guys did a great job and I would definitely recommend them to my friends. They responded back to my message and came out as soon as I was available. I had some broken sprinkler heads that needed to be replaced and as long as they were out they replaced my original timer box that was a pain to use and program. They are very courteous, professional, and do great work.
Unreliable and flaky. They don't return phone calls as promised and don't come when they say they will. John finally returned my call after I spoke with Steve letting him know how disappointed I was with their lack of customer service. Never in my life has a man (John) spoken so disrespectfully to me calling me sweetheart during a professional phone call.
I was out of town and was told that the sprinklers at my house weren't working correctly. Luckily I found Orange County Sprinkler Repair here on Yelp and Steve made a service call the next day.
Steve assessed my whole sprinkler system, and other than a couple of minor timer adjustments, determined that everything was working as needed. Didn't even charge me for the visit. Very helpful and responsive - impressed.

I was in need of urgent repairs on the sprinkler system at my father-in-law's house. I live in San Diego and my father-in-law lives in Tustin so I thought it would be difficult to coordinate the needed repairs. I spoke with Steve and he was highly responsive. He had workers on site within a hour of my call. They completed the job quickly and correctly and at a reasonable price. Plus, Steve gave my father-in-law a senior discount. Steve called me a couple of times during the job to provide updates and he called when the job was completed. I highly recommend Steve and his company.

What can I say.
I called Steve regarding my problem of my master bedroom toilet wall vibrating like a machine gun and very loud. Scared the hell out of me.. Prior to that, the vibration was short and mild like someone knocking on the wall.
Called Steve, and he said he was tied up today due to so many emergency calls.
Believe it or not, he insisted he would do his utmost best to come over and just trouble shoot to give him an idea if the sprinkler valves were the problem. As busy as he was, he made the time to check the problem. as life id, when we turned the sprinklers on no problem could be determined. We tried and tried to no success.
I told him I would tape the noise if it happened again so he could diagnose the problem. And you know what, he felt it would be wrong to charge me since he could not diagnose the problem.
Now, that is what I call honesty & service!!!

Steve and his team are amazing! Steve was at a job that took longer than anticipated when I called him to service a sprinkler problem which required me to shut the water off to my entire house. He did keep in contact throughout the day and even tried to walk me through a solution which would either fix the issue or, at least, lower the emergency status of my situation. I was extremely thankful for this level of service. Being that this was an emergency, Steve made my unexpected call a priority and was able to free up one of his team to come fix my problem. I was fortunate to get John. Not only was he efficient and knowledgeable, but he was also very personable and friendly. He explained everything that he was doing and shared other great anecdotes too. He even gave me his number and assured me that I could call back the next day should anything go wrong. Being in the customer service industry myself, I truly value interactions that are both friendly and helpful. Being that it was a same day call and an emergency I was expecting a possible high charge. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that Steve charged me as if this were a regular call. If you are looking for a professional, high quality and efficient company who is fair to their clients, this is definitely the one. I would definitely recommend this company to everyone. Needed a reliable sprinkler man for a client of ours. I used Yelp since we don't work on the electronics/ sprinkler controls and took a chance with OC Sprinkler based on their excellent reviews. I spoke to Steve on the fly, he answered his phone even though he was right in the middle of things. I was able to text him all of our information and let him go from there. Since we are another local business it is really important to get things done in an efficient manner as it reflects to our clients. He was able to talk to my technician, schedule with our client and proceed with the work in a very efficient manner. From my understanding with our technician, the work was not easy and I am very glad that I chose the right company for the job.
The sprinkler system in our house dated from the 1990's. I called OC Sprinkler Repair because we had turned off the system due to a leak creating standing water. Steve Stoeckel, Irrigation Specialist, returned my phone call by the end of the day. OC Sprinkler Repair was onsite in a couple of days; in just a few hours, they had reconnected the main line to valves, replaced a broken valve, replaced some damaged pvc, and made a few other fixes. Steve phoned at the end of the day to ask if OCSP had our sprinkler system operating again without creating leaks.

On a Thursday, we noticed a leak in front of our garage in the seam of the cement driveway. We were hoping it was just our sprinkler systems from the planters and our gardener could look at it on his regular Saturday morning visit; however this was the first weekend since we hired him a couple months ago that he didn't show up. On Sunday morning since we hadn't heard back from our gardener, I contacted several sprinkler companies via Yelp and OC Sprinkler was the only one available on that day. Steve arrived within a couple hours and accessed the situation. He did as much as he could that day. He said the office would be in contact within the next couple days to finish the job. At 7:30am Monday morning, Steve and 2 of his courteous workers arrived to finish the job which took a few hours. Turns out it was a slow leak, possibly from the recent earthquake, that was from our main line so without Steve and his crew's help, it would have cost us a lot more and we would have been without water for a lot longer. We definitely recommend OC Sprinkler Repair since they have the best response time, quickest service time completed, very professional and exceptional communication with updates, etc. It was great piece of mind knowing OC Sprinker is available when needed. Emailed explaining a complicated irrigation problem and Steve promptly followed up. I took the afternoon off work to meet with someone other than Steve who apparently was not provided my email explanation of the problem and had only enough knowledge to tell me he couldn't figure out the issue and would need to consult with someone else.
Later, after a minimum amount of back and forth, I scheduled a new appointment for a Saturday (I couldn't take more time off work). Because it was an potentially difficult problem I agreed to pay a fee for the most experienced irrigation repairmen to visit. There was also an odd discussion about whether Steve even wanted the repair challenge because of his interest in maintaining his Yelp rating, but that is a different subject. Anyway, days before the appointed time I called Steve to confirm the appointment. I was told no problem. Then the evening before the appointment I emailed to again confirm.
The next morning, I waited and waited. When the service period window lapsed I called and left a voicemail asking if Steve was still planning to make it. I waited a bit more and finally had to leave to get other things done. Later, I must have missed Steve's call but I got his voicemail response. In short, Steve seemed aware of the appointment but because of the recent rains took emergency work for other customers instead and wasn't going to be able to make it at any point that day. If this was true, Steve provided no explanation for why he or someone else could not have placed a 10 second call to tell me he couldn't make it rather than let me idly sit around a couple hours waiting.
I contacted Steve because they had a number of good Yelp reviews. I can't rate them on their work since they failed to show. But, in my opinion, if you can't handle the customer service, I sure can't trust the work you might do for me.
I have used this company 2 times and have received great service, quality work and reasonable pricing both times. It is so refreshing to deal with a company that cares!
I accidentally destroyed a portion of the front yard sprinkler system. I texted the Orange County Sprinkler Repair and Steve replied in short order. He arrived as agreed to and in very short order fixed everything. What more do you want??
A class act! A just moved to a new home a few months ago and the sprinkler valves started to act up. Steve took one look at the valves and declared they were dripping because they were the cheapest on the market. He had the opportunity to recommend that I replace them with a better valve. Instead, he tinkered with a couple of spots and said that a replacement is not necessary for awhile. I will be using Steve for a tuneup and any additional work moving forward.
He was also able to quickly identify the trees in my backyard. Google verified his identification. Not only do I have a sprinkler guy, I will use him to trim the trees when they next need them.

I called OCSR to troubleshoot my sprinkler because one my station was not shutting on & off all the time. They came & replaced the solenoid in 10 minutes & paid $85. No problem because they told me upfront it would be $78 to start troubleshoot. Two guys serviced were very pleasant & took care of the business.
I requested another job at the time to install a water hose bib & replace a plastic valve to brass and completed in about 1.5 hrs and paid $200. I admit pretty good deal.
Now here is the reason why I rated two stars for my experience. My irrigation station with the new solenoid started to leak and was not shutting off. I called the owner, Steve, for the follow up adjustment but some what reluctant to revisit my place. With his advice on the phone, tried several different ways to adjust the solenoid and flushed but didn't work. After the call, I was able to manually shut off my controller and minimize the water leak but constant water running noise. So now I shut off the main irrigation valve and called Steve again. He replied ...I will call you back but that did NOT take place.
I decided to fix it myself. Studied the YouTube for 30 minutes and replace the entire new Rain Bird valve ($24, Homedepot) with very expensive PVC couplings ($2) and fixed my self. No noise, no water leak, satisfied.
You guys can interpret my review however you want. My irrigation service was probably too small of job for good margin, especially if his profit was low on my water hose bib job. I deal with many contractors regularly because of my profession and a good contractor typically provides good follow up service because one small job can lead to the next big one.
In addition, I wish contractors can be more upfront about the service options. Solenoid is about $10 at Home Depot vs entire new valve system $24. I would think that the majority of the customers would prefer to pay extra and install the new valve system especially if all existing parts are same age. Labor cost? It took me 10 minutes to install, solenoid maybe 3 minutes so let's just say they are equal since it will be prcharged to the nearest 30 minutes. Then why not? I guess one part at a time equals to more service :/

This is my review update. I originally gave them two stars for reasons mentioned above. Subsequently, Steve contacted me and apologize for not returning my call. He also reimbursed the new valve cost. So, why did I change the rating when he may have just contacted me because of review? I concur, he may have...However, it is obvious now that he is very serious about each customer's experiences. I also work in construction related field and errors do occur frequently but not too many contractors own up to their mistakes and serious about their business reputation. Ultimately, the question comes down to whether my views have changed and will I call them again for next service(s)? Yes, sincerely I would.

This is my second time using Orange County Sprinkler Repair. First time I had a valve leak which OC Sprinkler Repair was able to come out and fix within an hour of contacting them (On a Saturday!)
Recently last week I got a tuneup done on all my sprinklers so I can get better coverage. All my sprinklers were replaced and they added additional sprinklers so my whole front yard has good coverage. They did a great job and so far I'm a happy customer. I'll be using these guys for any future work.

Steve and his awesome guys completed a very difficult repair under a slab. I'm a happy customer and recommend that you use them for all of your repairs.
I put in an SOS (Save Our Sprinklers...from gushing water down the street) to Steve at 6:00 am. By 6:30, he had read my distress call and already contacted me. By 7:30, he was at my house with his assistant Trevor troubleshooting our problem. After fixing the issue with our mainline sprinkler, Steve realized the hose bib was also broken. Despite being short 2 technicians and inundated with calls for the day (12 beside mine), he immediately went to Home Depot to get parts. Of course it wasn't the easy fix we were hoping for, so Steve saved me the time and trouble of calling a plumber and sweat soldered the bib himself...problem solved. We filed Steve's business card in a safe place so we can call him to address other sprinkler issues. If you are looking for honesty, clarity, respectfulness, and personality, then Steve and Trevor are your guys!

Earlier this week I noticed a few of my sprinkler heads were leaking badly and the sidewalk was getting watered better than my lawn. So I called Steve around 8 am in the morning and had an estimate by early afternoon. He suggested a tune-up for my entire sprinkler system.
I took his advice and I'm glad I did. His team found over a dozen ways I could save water, yet get my plants, trees, grass and rose bushes more water.
Dale was assigned to my job and he worked straight through the day, a good 8 - 9 hours straight and was able to finish the entire job. He did a fantastic job and is the kind of person who puts his heart into what he does.
I have a sprinkler system that is better than new, complete with valves that don't leak anymore and planter beds that are getting watered better than ever.
Excellent work by OC Sprinkler Repair, they keep their word and did an amazing job tuning up my old sprinkler system so it's better than new.
Late on Sunday, water erupted from underground in our one-acre orchard and began flowing in a six-foot-wide stream from near the main supply from the Tustin Water Department through the trees to our front door. Tustin quickly shut off the main line, but we were then entirely without water. 8 am Monday morning, Steve and Todd from OC Sprinkler repair were on the job, dug down 3.5 feet, found the breach, and repaired it, let the repair dry hard for a couple hours, then came back, filled the ditch, and turned the water back on. What a relief!! Hours of hard, smart work for $325. With 40 trees and a big house, we need reliable water and irrigation. We are now their customer for life.

Make sure you also search using his name because several irrigation specialists use sprinkler in the name. Steve Stoeckel responded promptly to my first call about a repair. I txt him a couple of pics of the pipe riser replacement. He gave me the price and stuck to it even after he performed a couple of other favors on other items. He's a cool guy who does well with email and txt. He also does not try to sell other repairs while on the property. Another service tried this. I thought it was SOP. I've called in sprinkler repairs before, each time the companies would tell me something different was wrong, but each time the pressure problems came back. OC Sprinkler Repair was the first one to come in and take the time to find the root of the problem and get the sprinkler system fixed in one go. We had our pipes and system changed (for the better) and our sprinklers have never worked better! The sprinklers had been adjusted for full coverage and great pressure. Steve is a true professional. He sure knows his stuff. He came out to replace 6 valves that are old and leaking. Even after doing what I originally asked for, Steve and Todd kept investigating a wire issue that I had. Steve consulted with me every step of the way and made sure I am informed. This review is long overdue. Since Steve's visit 3 weeks ago, my irrigation system has worked flawlessly. Steve worked continuously in my hot backyard planter for amongst my needled palm trees for several mid-afternoon hours to get the system working. I needed new valves/solenoids and a new GFCI plug for my controller. Here is why I think Steve's effort was great:

Called OC Sprinkler repair to see if they could come by and quote me to fix our sprinkler controller that wasn't working. Two of their guys came by same day and started fixing the controller/valves right away vs. providing a quote to find out the cost and what the issue was so we could decide if we wanted it fixed. We ended up having to pay for the service obviously but the communication on the quote and authorizing the repair was not there. The person I spoke to originally on the phone also didn't say there was a fee either just to get someone to come diagnose. Steve did however knock off a yelp discount.

I called their number and Steve the owner answered which was impressive. He scheduled me within 48 hours even though they were incredibly busy over the holiday weekend. I had not run the sprinklers in over a year and knew at least three were broken. Dale & Jose had everything back online and fixed in a little over an hour. Dale walked the property with me to show me each valve to make sure I was satisfied with their function while spraying. His positive attitude and quick work was impressive! And the price was great! Great service, great work and great people! I woke up to a flooded backyard. Steve came out to my place within about 30 minutes from the time I called. My gardener added a new timer system for my sprinklers and suddenly one of my sprinklers set was not coming up. I found a leaking sprinkler and valve on Friday night, the day after thanksgiving. I texted Steve at 9am Saturday and he got back to me within an hour. Todd was at my house to fix everything an hour and a half later. Extremely responsive and this is a holiday weekend! Todd was able to fix all my issues along with a quick tune up of my sprinkler system so that I won't have any more dead spots not getting water, and spots getting too much water. I called Orange County Sprinkler Repair when I found my backyard had flooded and could not find the source of the leak. Steve responded quickly and dispatched his ace leak detective, John, to our place. John worked methodically and with determined patience to check all possible sources of the problem. He not only fixed the problem at hand, but added some enhancements to our sprinkler system, with my approval, to allow easier sprinkler shutoff locations with a new shutoff valve. Steve reached out to me after my previous review and apologized and explained that he was so busy he couldn't return all his calls. He offered to come by the same day he called and he did. Wasn't able to fix the main problem I called him about but did a full review of the sprinkler system and fixed a number of issues. Charged me a reduced fee. Seems like a nice guy.
I am very happy with the work OC Sprinkler performed. The main shutoff valve to our sprinkler system was broken. To replace it required re-piping the connection to the water main, the house water supply and the sprinkler piping. I sent OCSR pictures, received a quote and we set a date and time.
The crew led by Junior arrived on-time. Working with him was great as we discussed the options. They set to work, placed the new shutoff exactly the way I wanted it, re-piped and put everything back together in a couple of hours, cleaning up the entire area when they finished. And the actual cost was less than the quote, so doubly pleased!
Had this company out today to fix a leak in front of my garage. The work was completed in a timely manner. The techs where courteous and made sure to walk me threw what had been completed. Would highly recommend this company and if anymore problems arise I would definitely give this company a call.

Steve is fantastic! Truly a master at his craft. First, really appreciate him making himself available during the corona virus pandemic. He is very responsive, and was able to come out to fix both my issues within 24 hours of contacting him. The first call was for an unresponsive sprinkler valve. He quickly diagnosed it as faulty wiring and repaired it quickly charging no more than his service visit rate. The second call was for a busted PVC pipe feeding a different sprinkler head. He quickly dug it up and made the repair in twenty minutes, and waived the visit charge because he was out here for the valve repair just the day prior. Both fixes were priced reasonably and cheaper than other repair services. On top of that, he also fixed a leaky spigot for me at no cost in the blink of an eye.
Truly fantastic service, great rates, straight shooter, and very friendly with the neighbors. Will be going back to him for future irrigation support.
I found a leak near my sprinkler valves and called Steve to take a look. They found the leak, repaired and even rebuild the manifold. From the time I made the call to the time the repair was complete was under 3 hours (Actually onsite for about an hour). which was great as I was off work today and didn't have to take any additional time off. Steve is great! Diagnosed and fixed our sprinkler problems promptly (one sprinkler pipe had a strange connection, requiring hours of digging in the mud).
I wish I could hire his company to landscape our yard too, but I think he is currently focusing on sprinkler repair due to high demand.
Anyway now that our sprinklers are fixed, looking forward to a sprinkler tune up!

Called on a Saturday at 4 after I broke a spigot clean off trying to change a hose out. Water came gushing out and I had to turn off the main. Steve came right over with a great attitude despite the final four games, and was finished in about 30 minutes.
Amazing service from Steve, Pete and Milo! They came to the appointment on time and were able to find the leak with my irrigation system within 15 minutes. Several hours later the repair was complete and the area cleaned up. Price was very reasonable. Highly recommend their services.

We were hosting a birthday party at our house and needed someone to install sprinklers last minute. We called a few companies and everyone was booked weeks out. When I talked to Steve at Orange County Sprinkler Repair, he was just as busy as these other companies, but he agreed to move his schedule around to help us out. Steve and his crew were extremely accommodating. We were planning on working all weekend once the sprinklers were installed to lay a weed barrier over the soil, build several planters, plant succulents, and lay mulch. Like everyone else I called OC Sprinkler Repair bc of the 5-star reviews and I was not disappointed. They were quick responded to my text and Steve kept me up to date w/ when Todd can come out to my house. Todd is very professional, polite, calm/cool and easy going guy. It turned out that the job is bigger than thought bc the pipe was broken in 2 places. The final bill was very fair considering how much work Todd put in. Steve was truly a water saver... we had a pipe leak on one side of our yard and a water drip line leak on the other. We arranged a time for one of his guys to come look at it, however, the evening before he called me to let me know he was having trouble confirming a tech due to high volume of jobs. After I told him that water was leaking by the gallon per minute, he told me It sounds like you have an emergency on your hands and then he personally agreed to show up first thing in the morning to help me. He arrived at my house at 9:45am not knowing what the job had in store and left by 1pm with NO water leaking. Mani did an AWESOME job and we'd recommend him and OC Sprinkler Repair to anyone in the area looking for high-quality, efficient and honest work. Everyone was professional, arrived on time (if not early), and were incredibly friendly. They installed a new backyard sprinkler timer station (including making unforeseen runs to Home Depot for a new 4x4 post to mount the timer on, as well as digging, mixing and pouring cement in to hold it securely in place). They installed an efficient drip system to irrigate 4 of our big potted plants, replaced a handful of faulty valves, answered all of our questions and stayed well over the estimated scheduled time to get the job done correctly. Called and got same day service to replace a sprinkler control valve. My technician was Brian who was very professional and knowledgeable. He gave me some helpful advice about my system as he proceeded to do the replacement. With that completed another issue arose that involved a very old valve for the water supply that began to leak badly and we had to turn off the water main to the house. I knew that would involve a plumber to get fixed because he did not have the part , but he called Steve and he said they could fix it and while Brian prepped the work Steve came with a new valve and together they replace the defective valve. There is a reason Steve has so many Five Star ratings, he takes care of his customers and charges fair prices. I had an emergency job that needed to be handled the NEXT DAY on Saturday. The original sprinkler guy I had chosen completely flaked out on the job. I had a cinderblock wall being demo'd on a Friday, and had a Vinyl fence being installed on Saturday. The sprinkler guy was going to move the old lines the same morning. When the original guy stopped answering his phone I started calling. Steve answered his phone and said he would help me out.
He came out on time the next day with two helpers. They trenched a new line and moved the sprinklers over. His crew worked together with the fence installer and all was done in a few hours. When complete, Steve took the time to show me how to operate the sprinkler heads and how to clean the filters myself.
OC Sprinkler Repair saved the day. I would highly recommend you call them for any sprinkler services you need.

A wonderful experience! I had several zones that were not functioning with my sprinkler system. Within ten minutes, Steve had discovered the problem and my system is back up and running in time for summer. Steve was very friendly and was very respectful of our time. When he got here he immediately had his worker Jose start digging up and fixing my sprinkler heads as Steve and I went around the house discussing some of the issues I had. He was thorough and very knowledgeable and knew exactly how to fix all the issues and concerns I had with my sprinklers. The best part was that he added a rotary head to an area that was not getting any water and didn't charge me that much more, he wanted to make sure I was happy and didn't want leave anything half way done. At the end, my system is watering every part my lawn perfectly, which was exactly what I had asked for. Plus, Steve is a very nice guy and made the whole experience very enjoyable. I will definitely hire him again if there are any problems with my sprinklers in the future and recommend him to all my friends and family.

I decided to have my daughter's sprinkler system looked at during the time I was house sitting and taking care of my grandkids. I called Steve hoping he could fit me in during my 2 week stay. After realizing that he was only 5 miles away, he came over right away. He and his worker (very hard working and competent) stayed for about 4 hours fixing all the issues and resetting the timer, all for a fair price. His calling card is on my daughter's refrigerator for future calls!
Once again I have to commend Steve for his great service. Yesterday when I came home from work I discovered that my sprinkler station #2 would not turn off after its duration. It was already after 5 pm. I called Steve and he didn't hesitate to come out that same evening. Had he not come out, I would have flooded my yard. My only alternative was to shut off all the water to my house for the night. He not only came out immediately but resolved the problem without installing any new parts. Anyone else would have tried to sell me a new system. He was also very reasonable for working after hours with no prior notice. I highly recommend him. I am also a returning customer. Called Steve and he was at my home within 24hours and at time agreed on.
After looking at basic system of sprinklers, he dug deeper and found that one of the valves/ controller was not connected. He quickly wired controller as it should have been set up and all problems were resolved. I would recommend O C Sprinklers/Steve 100%.

OC Sprinkler is Great! Steve honor's all his warranty. We were a little over a year on our warranty on the sprinkler valves and one broke and he came to the house sooner then had we thought and fixed it with no charge. This was the second time he has came to our home and fixed a issue for us and he did it with a smile. Thank you Steve for all your help!
This is the first time I use OC sprinkler repair, Steve and his team are professional, efficient and and effective in identifying issues and offering solution to fix it. Steve suggests to install pressure regulator to eliminate future sprinkler broken problem caused by high water pressure.
Simply, I am not a sprinkler system expert, Steve is. He could have taken advantage of my lack of knowledge but instead, taught me about my system and found a cost effective solution. Highly recommended

Steve; what a guy. I called OCS, and I spoke with Steve. I told him about the problems that we were having with our sprinkler system, and he quickly diagnosed the problem. Fixing the issue turned out to be simple; Steve walked me through how to do it on my own, and he told me to call him back if the proposed solution didn't work. It worked fine, and the problem is resolved. Instead of doing what he did, Steve could have set up a service call, and I could have been out hundreds of dollars for work that I didn't need. I am extremely impressed by Steve and his honesty, and helpfulness, and when our sprinkler system does need professional work, I will not hesitate to call him.
I called OC sprinkler repair for a few jobs since I had a office shed installed in the back. The current system was spraying everywhere and needed some adjustments.
- Adjust and install new sprinkler heads in hard to reach coverage areas
- replace dead sprinklers
- Clear out shrub and weeds on a 9 x 3 front part of my yard that was going to be used for a garden bed
- Install 3 new sprinkler heads in that garden bed
At first, I thought the price was a bit over inflated based on the hours worked and costs. But I went with it anyways due to the high review. After they took care of the job they asked me to contact them in 3 weeks if anything else needs to be changed. After 3 weeks, the front lawn looked amazing. However, the backyard had some bad coverage areas that needed further attention. After calling Steve a few times to get some guys back out here. He sent Dale back over and he fixed the problem up within 10 minutes.
I now, see where the costs went. Simply put, it's the customer service and attention they place back onto customers. Employees are friendly and professional, and Steve does care about his customers.
If you are trying to reach him and have a delay. Keep on them, they are busy during the week.

Twice in the last two weeks business owner Steve and his employee Bryan have given me great help. My first call was to fix one line in my drip system that was not watering my avocado tree. With the winter's rain ending, I needed water to the avocado, and they fixed it. I don't have to haul hoses. . I almost heard my avocado tree sighing its gratitude.
This week Steve and Bryan came to my rescue and saved me from a big water bill. Late on Thursday afternoon, I noticed a leaking valve, making a nice patch of mud under it. I texted Steve a picture and description of my problem. Saturday morning, Steve called to make sure I was home, and Bryan came over a short time later. On a Saturday! They replaced the problem valve, and I don't have a leak over the weekend.
Both men were masked, stayed in touch with me about when they would be at my house, and described the problem and their solution. I strongly recommend their services.
Our sprinkler valve broke and was leaking lots of water, so we decided to call after we found OC Sprinkler Repair on Yelp. Steve tried to give instructions over the phone after I texted him a photo of the situation, but since the valve was broken and my knowledge was limited, I had to ask him to come in. It was 10:30am on a Sunday morning, but Steve was in our backyard within 30 minutes of the call, and the valve was replaced in 30 minutes. Steve then waited for the glue to dry, and showed me how to turn the water back on for the house for full water pressure. I was able to carry on with the day with minimal delay. So happy. Thank you!

Had an sprinkler valve issue and called a couple of companies. OC is the fastest to come as they were near by. Their staff replaced the valve and a piece of broken pipe for $135. I didn't compare to other companies' quotes but guess it should be reasonable.
They are easy to work with and friendly. I can't make my payment because I didn't have check or cash with me. Steve showed up later and helped with the payment using my credit card. He noticed that the mud was not cleaned by his staff so he cleaned it up for me. Of course, he wanted to make customers happy so we can spread the words. That's a good sign because it means he cares about his business reputation. So, I told him I would leave a 5 star review for him.

Had a battery operated automatic sprinkler that wouldn't turn off after it was manually turned on during Easter holiday. If I can rate Steve and his company 10 stars, indubitably I would in a heartbeat. This company did an impeccable and beautiful job with my lawn. They are more than fairly priced for the work they perform, efficient and very professional.
I had a quote from another company who wanted to charge me more than twice the amount OC Sprinkler Repair quoted me simply because the other company's intention was to upsell me with artificial grass or turf. OC Sprinkler Repair, to my auspiciousness, came out to give me a bid and saved me a lot of Benjamins because they were honest and knew exactly or had a pretty accurate deduction of the issues at hand. The agreement to repair my sprinklers and install new grass in my back lawn was even a project smaller than what they would normally accept so I was extremely fortunate to have them accept the work.
Without question, this company is the best and most decently priced company for your sprinkler repair and landscape. Highly recommended Yelpers....

Steve the owner was great. I contacted him with a broken sprinkler pipe problem. He called me back and sent out his techs to resolve my broken sprinkler problem the same day even though it was getting late in the day and getting dark outside . His tech ( Bryan) showed up and fixed my broken pipe. Bryan was very nice and professional and answered any questions I had. I now know why Orange County Sprinklers has 5 stars, Steve and his employees hits it out of the park on customer service , knowledge and repairs and price. We had an underground sprinkler pipe break that my gardener couldn't fix. He said he would have to remove a large tree stump to get to it. I took some photos and sent them to Steve who reviewed them and said it didn't look too bad. He sent his guy Pete out within the hour and after some digging and root chopping he got to the break and it was fixed within 45 minutes. And then Steve called a bit later to make sure everything was done to our satisfaction. I could not be happier with this company. They are super knowledgeable and put customer service first. This guy knows his stuff and is as professional as can be. Highly recommend.

Awesome and incredible service! The electrical system on our irrigation went down for our commercial property. I called around on YELP and most wanted a 2, 3 or week lead time! But Steve at OC Sprinkler Repair came out within 2 Hours! I was so thankful for the quick response time! There are 40,000 sq ft of property here, waiting more than a day would not have been good in this hot climate. Orange county sprinkler repair just left my house. my sprinklers kept throwing a code and i didn't know why. Rich and his partner came on time and was able to diagnose the problem and fix it in a timely manner. I am so appreciative of being worked in, last minute, to accomodate my need for a Sat. appt. The promptness and attention to detail was great along with the fact that Steve, the owner, did not try to sell me on unnecessary repairs. He got my front and backyard sprinklers working great, so my yards are starting to get green again and the grass is filling in. There are some improvements he said would help, which I will definitely do in the near future. It's so hard to find great customer service people along with being able to trust the recommendation of the needed work, so I would definitely recommend this company. You won't be disappointed.

I had a valve that needed replacement, but it was old equipment and hard to find. First, they found a way to get service out to me 4 hours ahead of schedule! Obviously they didn't have the hard-to-find part in stock, so they tracked it down and came back at 7:30 at night to make sure it was fixed today rather than having to reschedule.
Responsive, knowledgeable, and friendly. I hope my sprinkler system holds up, but if not, I'll definitely be using OC Sprinklers again!
After researching on Yelp, I called OCSR in the morning and the lady that answered was super friendly and helpful. There was a technician in my area and she had him come out to discuss my problem a few hours later. Manny (technician) was very friendly and helpful. Originally, I thought I had a leak under my driveway and that it might not be repairable. I had called OCSR to see if there was a way to shut off/block the water to the leak under the driveway. Manny quickly determined that it was a good chance it was not under the driveway and would be fixable. And 15 minutes later, it was fixed. Service was smooth, great communications and everyone at the company I dealt with was friendly. Highly recommmend!

Found these folks on Yelp and tried them. Quick response, great work, quality, clean and fast.
Repaired backyard system that had been damaged in a construction project. They found all the challenges. The folks who came out were terrific, smart and courteous, easy to work with.

Gave multiple chances to do a tune up in Long Beach. I don't think this business should state they do work in Long Beach or anywhere in LA county. It was over a year until they offered to tune up my sprinklers but I moved on. I tried to be incredibly flexible but seemed like he didn't want to do work in Long Beach.
Noticed a leak coming from under my driveway and looked to yelp for help. Orange County Sprinkler Repair had enough reviews and were highly rated. I read the negative reviews which was mostly not being able to get a hold of them which I don't consider a negative. I called them that day and they took my number and said they will call me when they know when they can come over. They called the next morning came out and got the job done. I really liked them. Nice guys and they knew what they were doing and did a great job with the repair which cost me far less that I originally thought since they were able to find the source of the problem and get to it. Great company which I would highly recommend.

We came home today to find one of our sprinkler pipes had broken and was spraying out water pretty rapidly. After attempting to shut off the water on our own, and failing (we're new home owners!) I made a frantic call to OC Sprinkler repair. Steve answered and said he could be over in 20-30 min. He arrived right as promised and was very quickly able to diagnose the problem and suggest two different options to fix it. In under an hour he had fixed it and was on his way! We are definitely planning to use his services in the future when we redo our backyard sprinkler system. Thanks again, Steve!
OC Sprlinker Repair did a fantastic job at diagnosing and fixing a complicated problem I had with my sprinkler which was leaking 1 1/2 feet underground in a tight space by my walkway. Steve was knowledgeable, professional and explained the situation very well. I really appreciated his work and he was very prompt with his timing. Steve and Raul showed up this morning to fix my system. We moved in 6 months ago and many of the stations were just not firing. There were multiple issues that came up and all were fixed. They reordered some of the stations as well. Both Steve and Raul were very professional and even walked me through some of the repairs so I can self triage some of the small stuff moving forward.
Don't bother calling anyone else. They are excellent!

We recently moved to a new home and this was our first experience with a sprinkler system. We had a circuit breaker trip in the garage where the sprinkler timer was set up and this caused our programming to erase and not hold the timer settings. I found Steve and his excellent reviews and gave him a call. A day later and after several returned calls to work out the timing of his visit, Steve showed up in the late afternoon. He tested the unit and showed us the easiest way to program it and he was very accommodating and though I tried to pay him for a service visit he would only take money to cover the gas it took to come to our house. I would highly recommend Steve for any sprinkler or tree service and realize that he is a very busy guy but definitely tries to get everyone scheduled. We'll be calling him if we have any other trouble. Thanks Steve!
