I gave 2 stars simply because I am not sure if what work was done was all actually necessary. I did need a new septic pump which was installed. And I did see the tank needed to be pumped, which was done. However, I was told the line was stopped up and that was an extra $119. that is what I do not think was necessary. The tank was full, the line could not drain. The company sends out the necessary techs 1 at a time, one to change the pump, one to snake the line, and last was the one to pump the tank. I am pretty positive if they had sent the correct order, replace the pump, then pump out the tank I do not believe the snaking the line would have been necessary. The line has never been stopped up. The pump had quit working and the line was backed up. So, was the $119. service necessary? BEWARE OF THAT PART.
Lastly, between the 3 workers, none completely filled back in the holes dug to get to the tanks, one of the tech threw a couple of big stepping stones in the hole, rather than fill it back in. The nozzle was taken off the garden hose and left in the yard, not put back on the hose. My back gate was left wide open. If my dog had gotten out before I went out there I could have gotten into trouble with the neighbors, and of course, there is always the possibility my dog could have gotten hurt. I do understand we what it is like to work for a living, and the need and the desire to get home, or to the next job, however how much longer would it have taken to get it right.
One last thing for real, to have to pay each person separately for the individual job is not a good idea, either. Lets hope the new pump last a while, because I do not think I can afford this type of service again any time soon. If I do, I doubt I will be calling metro-rooter for help.
