So our pipes decided to start leaking as old pipes do.

I did a quick search and found a surprising amount of plumbers near me, so I chose one and mistakenly called a different plumber. I reviewed that service already but after all those shenanigans I got into contact with J.W. Freeman.

It was like night and day; the difference in customer service was astounding and honestly they brought me a whole lot of relief when I needed it most.

First, they sent someone to check the situation out and give us an estimate. The plumber, BJ, showed up exactly when they said he would, which was amazing because I didn't have to waste my day waiting around for them. BJ really made me feel like we were a priority. He was very honest and gave us some very reassuring words that brought us some much needed peace of mind.

They sent out another plumber, who came within a few days to fix our pipes as well as install a new water heater. The service was fast, non-intrusive, and, most importantly, was properly done. The pricing was very fair. But the did charge us a 3% up charge for paying with a credit card.

Horrible and incompetent service!!! Do not waist your time and money with this company!!!!
I live in Jacksonville but have a rental unit in Gainesville. Last February I called JW Freeman to detect and fix a leak from the bathroom on the second floor to the ceiling downstairs. They came, cut a hole in the ceiling and told me that nothing is leaking. I fixed the ceiling. Ten month later the leak happened again. I call JW Freeman and they repeat the same procedure - cut the huge hole in the ceiling and told me that water leaked  because tenants spill the water while  using the shower. When I came to fix the ceiling I noticed that all shower handles are leaking. I called JW Freeman and they agreed that it's valve leaking and cause the problem and ordered a valve repair kit and sent technician.  He couldn't replace the leaking part - seats but only installed new handles and acknowledged that leak is still there. If he couldn't replace the seats, fix the leak - he shouldn't instal new handles and try to charge me for them. Finally we agreed to replace valve. After two years and me paying them for coming and not detecting the problem and many trips and coordinating their appointments with tenants  they left me with cracked tiles with broken grout around. And now I have to hire someone to fix the tiles that they broke.....

I would write a review of less than one star but I cannot. If you want reliable service do not go here please. It is a headache that is not worth it. I had someone from this company come in to fix a leaking pipe and they did. However, in the process they created a different problem. When I went to turn on my shower, water would still come out from the bottom faucet. Because of this, they sent another guy to fix this issue that the original plumber could not solve. However the new plumber seemed to be in a hurry for some reason. Once he finished the job I had to check quickly if he had fixed the problem. He did, but I noticed after he left that he did not properly seal off knobs that turn on the shower (you can see images of this below). Additionally, I tried to talk to him after checking the shower and he was incredibly disrespectful. In the middle of talking to him he walked away and got in his truck. He walked into my house acting like he owned the place and walked out doing the same. I've genuinely never had such a negative Interaction with a company before. If you ever decide to use this company good luck.

They quickly responded when I contacted them because our hot water heater stopped working.  They arrived within a few hours of my call and found the water heater was beyond repair.  Within 2 hours, they had removed the old water heater and installed a new one.  They provided a one year warranty on their work.  Their pricing was reasonable too.  I will definitely use them again.

I have tried to schedule 2 appointments with this company the first was about 1 week ago they gave me a call time between 12-3 and we made arrangement to be home but had an appointment at 4:00pm they called at 2:55pm and told us they would be there in 30-40 minutes I informed them we had to leave at 4:00pm so they rescheduled.

I spoke to them personally and made arrangements for someone to be at the house by 8:30 this am as I had to get to work by 9:30 so need to leave the house by 9:15.
At 8:45 when no one showed up I called and their response is our call time is between 8:30 - 9:00, the plumber showed up at 9:00am and I informed him that I had to leave at 9:15 so he indicated he could not complete the work in 15 minutes so recommended we reschedule.

This company has no consideration for the customers time as my wife and I both work so are not at home waiting for service agents. You would think that as a first appointment someone should be able to get there by 8:00am but that obviously did not happen

This is just bad customer service

Never disappointed with these folks. They are there when promised and, once completed, the there are no residual problems.

James showed up on time, completed the sink replacement in short
order(1 hour) and was under quoted price. Always a good experience with Freeman Plumbing.

Quality work & excellent customer service! They were always in communication - from quick response time, scheduling our work request in ASAP, email follow ups, and notifying us on their arrival. They were easy to work with, very friendly, and most of all did the work right! We are happy with our replaced & new water heater by Simon Justin. They completed our system with a pan & ball valve which we didn't have previously. No more issues with our hot water heaWe highly recommend them!

David called ahead to give me an eta which was really helpful because I had to coordinate with a city technician. When he arrived. He was courteous and professional. He explained possible issues , took a look around and solved the problem within half an hour. It could have been a much bigger problem but he was able, because of his experience and training,  to determine  a solution that didn't involve expensive additional add on. He saved a significant amount of money for me. The work is warranties for a year! This company is responsive and honest. Can you ask for any better? Will always use in future. Thank you JW Freeman!

JW Freeman remodeled a bathroom for us which involved installing a shower, new drain, vanity and toilet.  They gave us the best quote, worked in a timely fashion, were very efficient, professional and the new bathroom looks great!  It is uncommon to find such professional work with very good value.  They provided lowest estimate of three plumbers we contacted.

Working with excellent businesses always makes me happy and I can't say enough about the incredible customer service and stellar work of J. W. Freeman Plumbing. We had a stopped up kitchen sink with clogged pipes and two shut off valves that did not work. J. W. Freeman Plumbing was recommended by our realtor and from start to finish, the customer service was (and remains) outstanding.  I filled out the form on their website and got an email promptly from Shep, who kept in touch with me, scheduled the appointment and answered all of my questions thoroughly.  I couldn't be there at the house on the day, and my mother (who lives in the house) has dementia and has a caregiver.  I explained all of this to Shep and he alerted the technician.  The technician, Joe Thrash, came out to our house and was thorough, careful and very professional.  I spoke to him three times on the phone. He explained everything to me, fixed the problems, and cleared the pipes.  We now have a working kitchen sink and I couldn't be more grateful for their professional and excellent work.  It is such a relief to find a business who follows through on their word and does so with such kindness.  The cost was very reasonable for the work done.  I feel that we are in very good hands with this exceptional business and we will only use their plumbing services for any future problems.

So pleased with the service, Peter came out and was extremely professional. He resolved the issue I had called about (after I had already had 3 people try and fix) and he fixed a couple other things as well.  Very thorough and very fair prices.

This company was responsive, reliable, and professional.  They came out with equipment which was able to determine the issues and quickly resolved the problems identified.  I had a remaining issue related to the original that wasn't clear the first time, so that returned and corrected the related issue at no charge.  The showed up on time, the rates are no bad, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful.  Highly recommend.

I called JW Freeman Plumbing to reconnect the kitchen sink and install a new faucet and disposal after getting new counter tops. BJ called to say he was on his way at the scheduled time and after I showed him what I needed done, he proceeded to complete the job efficiently and completely. BJ was very polite, organized, and explained everything completely! He even looked at another remodel job I was considering and described what needed to be done and offered a no cost estimate when I was ready to proceed. The cost of the work today was extremely reasonable and BJ even made sure everything was drip free and working! If I could give more than 5 stars I would! Great job BJ and JW Freeman Plumbing!

On 1/15/20 I had the inlet valve on my water heater fail which flooded my master bath, closet, and portion of my master bedroom. I caught it early which minimized the damage but still needed to repair the inlet valve. I called JW Freeman after 4pm, and after explaining my problem, they had someone here before 6pm. The repair was properly made using new brass fittings, Simon explaIned what he had to do, and all was completed in just a few minutes, and at a REASONABLE price! JW Freeman customer service is #1!

We just moved to Gainesville and we are so happy that we were referred to J W. Freeman. The quality of work is excellent on both jobs that we hired them for. Most recently, we had David and Joel out to repair a leak in our kitchen faucet. Both men were pleasant, professional and patient while I contacted my husband for more information. David went the extra mile and emptied out the water for me that I had been collecting in a basin. I was dumping the leaking water into a larger basin so that I could take it to another sink later.  I was watching my grandbaby and didn't want to leave the room to use the other sink. He did this without being asked.  In addition, the communication with the company through BJ Dose was excellent.  I plan on using them again when we decide to remodel our bathroom. This is a well run company.

AMAZING COMPANY! Our garage disposal was not working for what turned out to be a stupid reason (chicken bone was stuck in there). Took the gentleman, BJ,  2 minutes and everything was cleared. DID NOT CHARGE US A THING. I recommend everyone to request services from here. J.W. Freeman Plumbing is officially my go to company when needed. God bless you BJ.

J.W. Freeman is by far the best plumbing company that I have used in the 29 years living in Gainesville.  They are professional, efficient, provide excellent work and reasonably priced.  All of the plumbers sent out to our house were high caliber people.   David, Joe, Peter and others did a great job.  Honest people.

I called J.W. Freeman on Jan 2 right after the new year and they were able to get my hot water heater replaced the next day. That's amazing service! The service tech told me what was going on, laid out the options of repairing or replacing, but the age of the unit made sense to replace. I was glad for the info anyway instead of just trying to sell me something. Thanks!!

The plumbers that came out to fix our leaking faucet in the bathroom were responsive, easy people to talk to and cleaned up after themselves, which I value a lot. Also, the service charge was cheaper than other quotes I had received. I am very happy with the plumbing crew and their level of service. Thank you, JWFP.

Thank you J. W. Freeman Plumbing for saving us! When my husband accidentally broke off the water spigot outside, water started spewing everywhere.  First, the lovely person who answers the phone walked us through finding the water meter to turn off the water, and then she found one of her plumbers who could get here within minutes. He fix the spigot quite easily using a handy plumber's tool, and he was both professional and inexpensive, a rare combination.  I highly recommend this company!

Moving in a house that had midget toilets we had to find a plumber. Freeman got excellent Yelp reviews. Starting with Shep who answered the phone who was very helpful picking out the new toilets. Scheduled to meet our time most everything went smoothly. The toilets are great! There was a hitch with the installation of a faucet and a question on charges but Freeman's saw our point and refunded us what was a fair amount. This alone speaks highly of this company. We will definitely call Freeman's again for our next plumbing project.

I needed a dishwasher installed and I called on a Friday afternoon at around noon. The man on the other line was very nice and told me he could arrange for someone to get out to my place in the two hours. In no time the plumber came out and was installing my dishwasher. They were up front about pricing and how much the charge per hour. The plumber that came even offered to take my old dishwasher for me downstairs and to take the old boxes for me. I was overall very satisfied and would recommend them for any plumbing services needed. The plumber also explained what he was doing and why certain tools were necessary. This was very courteous instead of billing me extra and not telling me why.

Excellent company, we've used JW Freeman before and have been pleased. If you are looking for a plumber, JW Freeman Plumbing is the company for you. Today, David was very courteous, professional, knowledgeable and efficient. He Identified the issue with my toilet and had it fixed quickly. The only Gainesville plumbing company I will use!

Fantastic team - called in at 830 am-  they made an immediate appointment from 10-12 am -- they showed up 11:05 -- spent an hour diagnosing a very tricky issue that ended up being a solenoid inside the washer, the cause of lack of hot water throughout the apartment -

Left voicemail on Monday evening about a issue with clogged sink and there was someone at our house the next morning at 10 am.  Resolved the issue and the price was in line with the average for the service provided, a little cheaper.  Very satisfied!

A tree fell onto our well overnight and these guys were there within 45 mins of calling. They repaired the pipework really quickly and then hung around to make sure that everything was working ok before they left. Would definitely recommend!!

Came home from hurricane to find my kitchen garbage disposal backing up into my bathtub. Beyond gross. Called Freeman and the lovely dispatcher got two guys out on same day, even earlier than expected. They called before they came, were polite and efficient. They've got my business!!

I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH AWESOME THINGS ABOUT THIS COMPANY AND HAVE ONLY USED THEM TWICE SO FAR! I needed a plumber and quick and picked them because of their yelp reviews and am sso GLAD I did.. I purchased a town home (without going into much detail I was scammed) long distance after a long nasty divorce. My first trip up there it was discovered the entire sink was unusable due to not being sealed properly. They fit me into their schedule on my second trip up there - where we discovered the toilet in the 1/2 bath was not sitting properly. James fixed the sink and the toilet and I wrote the check WRONG I was so exhausted. They called when I was driving back to WPB and were EXTREMELY understanding about it. I am also having the backyard landscaped & needed the the hose spigot working. I had asked them about it when they called about the check. I called late one night at start of week and they were there the next morning - FIXED. The condition it was in I did not even think it was possible. I am moving up there not knowing anyone or who to rely on but can tell you if you need plumbers THESE GUYS ARE IT! They are pleasant no matter who you deal with, up front about the costs, carry just about everything you need on their trucks (which are usually better quality than something you might have installed - depending on where you live) do not waste time to pad the cost, friendly and truly CARE about what they do. THEY ARE NOW MY GO TO PLUMBERS FOR ANY OF MY NEEDS. If I could give 10 stars I would.

From the office person who answered the phone , to James and his apprentice Jesse this is a class act. Very professional, competent and friendly from start to finish.  Highly recommend and will use them the next time I have a plumbing issue.

Decided to call them based on the stellar Yelp reviews... and my fellow Yelpers didn't let me down. They showed up when they said they would, provided friendly and quick service, didn't overcharge me, and most importantly did the job right. I would absolutely use them again.

We called to have a washing machine faucet and outdoor faucet fixed and replaced. These guys scheduled a visit quickly and were extremely fast and thorough in completing the job. Prices were reasonable and the plumber was extremely nice, knowledgeable and professional.

Went with this company due to good reviews. The gentleman that came was nice and professional, and finished the job in a timely manner. There was a miscommunication with the pricing which I'll share the blame for. I should've asked how much the job in Total would be. The gentleman thought I knew about the service fee, which I didn't, so the total was a bit higher than expected. We worked it out in the end! Apparently this information was supposed to be given to me by the scheduler/receptionist, but wasn't. Still would recommend this company for the actual service, but you definitely should ask for grand total 1st! :)

I highly recommend JW Freeman Plumbing, LLC.  I initially called with questions about performance issues with a water heater and to free up a water supply line from my washing machine.  The person I spoke with at the office was friendly and was able to schedule someone the next day.  There was a misunderstanding about the day of the appointment which resulted in a one day delay but even factoring this in, the company was great.  Joe, the repairman, was friendly, knowledgeable and prompt.  The appointment was fast but professional and all repairs were completed for a very reasonable price.  I not only recommend JW Freeman Plumbing but will call them again for any future plumbing needs.  Oh, the best part, my water heater had nothing wrong with it...a simple temperature adjustment was all that was needed...can't believe I overlooked that!  I forgot to say Joe was honest too.  Five stars JW Freeman!!

I left a msg late evening prior to James coming out about a plumbing issue and received a prompt call 8 o'clock in the morning.  I had left a few messages with other plumbing services the night before, but they hadn't called back @ 8am so I was a little nervous.  I really needed service on our quadruplex asap!  He went himself to the property in such short notice and called to let me know that another plumbing company was already there.  Of course, that was not JW's fault because there was miscommunication (with the other plumbing service and myself; I was unaware that someone was sent out).  James then called me to tell me that the other plumbing service was already there & he would just leave and not charge us.  Long story short, although I didn't use JW Freeman Plumbing this time, I am definitely impressed by his professionalism, promptness, attention to details, follow through and customer service skills are excellent.  I know I will keep him in my rolodex for the next job I will most definitely need him to do in the future. James, YOU GET A 5 STAR RATING FOR 100% EFFORT.  :)

New to Gainesville and renting a house that I know NOTHING about. Had some clogged drain issues and needed a plumber - FAST. I chose this company solely from reading the Yelp reviews and everything everyone previously wrote was right on point. Jimmy answered the phone right away and I explained my problem and he more or less gave me a diagnosis over the phone. He even estimated a price - which ended up being about $20 more than what he originally said, but at least it gave me a credible idea of what to expect expense wise. When I explained to him that I was renting the home, without prompting, he looked up the address to see if it was in his system so that he could direct bill my landlord/owner. I thought that was cool. He had someone out in a few hours - exactly when he said they would arrive - and they had problem solved within 1 hour. He explained to me what he found and why the issue occurred and I felt at ease knowing I didn't cause the problem and that it was something that probably wouldn't occur again. Friendly, reasonable, efficient, professional. Everything you want in a plumber.

I've used this company 3x over the past 3 years, and they are awesome. They do good work; they do it right the first time; they are VERY REASONABLE; they are polite and great to work with; and they come when they say they're going to. In addition, they are honest and trustworthy and you don't feel like they are out to stiff you (as a woman, when dealing with tradespeople, that can happen!!!). Very highly recommended as I have lived in Gainesville for nearly 30 years and I've worked with a lot of different plumbers over time. JW Freeman is a great plumbing service. I just wish I could find a similar quality HVAC service.

SUPERB SERVICE !!!  We had a back-flow of shower water into our beautiful Gainesville Rental Yesterday - August 18, 2016.  The New Tenants were as surprised as we were and I was called by Mr. 'Tenant' informing me that his Mrs. 'Tenant'  was mopping up water that had been regurgitated from the Shower Drain.  We were in immediate need of an excellent plumber and since the Plumber that we had used for years had retired - I was very concerned about how I was going to find a competent, qualified, Plumber or Plumbing Service - for immediate help and where I was not going to be ripped off because this was an emergency situation.   We used YELP to search for our Next Plumbing Service Provider and went with JW FREEMAN PLUMBING because of all of the great ratings.  I phoned and spoke with 'Marty' the Mom of the Owner and she was amazing, understanding, knowledgeable and so very helpful.  She informed me that they were fully booked but that she would do everything they could to help us.   We were transferred to 'Alan' - who stated that they would try their best to fit us in and would return our call shortly.  Within 15 minutes, Alan returned my call and said that sometime between 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM they would be at our Rental Property. Our New Tenants were so relieved !   The JW Freeman Plumber  arrived at about 5:45 PM - snaked the line, ran all of the toilets, checked under ALL the sinks for leaks, flushed the toilets over 10 times, ran the washer  - and called me to tell me that they RAN A CAMERA !!! into our septic line to find that the City of Gainesville Line was filled with branches and that was the reason for the Clog.  He informed me that He had already Contacted GRU and reported the problem so that they could further  assist us to have this permanently resolved. WOW !  In today's day and time, this is no longer seen.  This  is the Excellent Service of Years Gone By -  BUT  HERE THEY ARE ! and We are so grateful to have found them.     OH and the price ?  We were shocked that it was under $200.00 !!   Incredibly reasonable !!   They are NOW on our Books as our Permanent Plumbing Service for our Gainesville Rental.

I would highly recommend this company.  They were very helpful and professional.  I felt the service was great and their price reasonable and competitive.  I will definitely call them again, if needed.

Both my dad and I had used Jame's plumbing services on 2 separate unrelated occasions, and we both are extremely of the quickness and professionalism for his work and prompt responds.  Not sure what my dad's problem was, but mine was an underground leakage.  I will 100% call him for plumbing issue again.
