We had them out several times for both AC and electrical work, and they're always courteous, prompt, and don't gouge you when the bill comes.  Our ancient AC unit finally died this week, after having to be worked on 3 times in the past few months.  They explained to us last time that they could keep fixing it, but it would cost us more in the long run (which I knew was true).  The first time they came out they said we would need a new one before too long, but they weren't pushy about it in the least.   They don't have the attitude of some service companies, where you get the impression they're looking for things to be wrong so they can hopefully scare you into getting something more expensive.  

All in all, I'm naturally suspicious of repair people, but I trust them and can recommend them without hesitation.

Needed a shower cartridge changed.   They quoted one price and charged another.  For twenty minutes of work we were charged 363.   We believe this price is gouging and a rip off.  We will never use them again as there are better choices out there.  After they left we discovered the cartridge was not working properly and appeared to be installed incorrectly.   We called them back but did not receive a call back for three days. In the meantime, a Handiman fixed it beautifully......your call!

Charged my 81 year old father $600 to install a water heater that he had purchased. It is located in the kitchen corner under the cabinet. They put a hole in the wall through to the hallway and told him, It's an old house and that happens because the pipes are close to the wall. Sawed the cabinet so much to get the pipes where they wanted them that the kitchen cabinet fell apart and now has to be replaced. My father had to wedge a board in the front to hold the counter up. There is now an empty opening under the cabinet with a great view of the water heater. The kitchen sink beside the water heater would not work after the install. They told him it probably had a clogged line, and they left it. He called them later because the water was barely warm in the shower. He was told if it didn't get warm they could come back and check it for an additional service charge.

Bell-Reeves came out to see if I had power to appliances.  It was literally a 5 minute job.  They also checked a bathroom faucet and determined it was a water restriction valve in the design of the faucet.  
Finally, I asked them to correctly label my electrical fuse panel box because it was the original labeling since the house was built in the 1970's.  Instead of checking each fuse to appropriate label where it was located in the house, Richard Reeves copied down the 40 plus year old list and had it typed out at the office.  
When I went to the office to pick up the newly labeled electric fuse panel list, I just happened to look down and see Garage- dryer.  The problem with that is my dryer is no longer in the garage.  That is how I know he just copied the old list.  
I was charged $35 for coming out and $260 for an hours worth of work that really should have been less than a half hour.  
I can only guess that they were standing outside laughing at how they were getting paid $260 an hour and sticking it to me I just happen to own a beach house.  
They did return $100 after getting caught coping the electrical fuse panel but even at $160 plus $35 = $195 that is a lot of money.

This was my second time using Bell-Reeves and I can't say enough good things. Great service and great price!

this is a add on to my  daughters post. I turned the water back on at the well and no water at kitchen sink. They didn't check other faucets, then went and changed valve and other pipes at the well. Still no water (he said). I checked bathroom sink, plenty of water. Did not need all the parts at the pump house. Had water all the time, the kitchen faucet got trash in it. Then they couldn't get the water heater heater to get hot, said I got a bad one, would have to call the factory. I put up with barely warm water until I could get another electrician to come out. He was here about 20 minutes, and I had hot water, been working every since. I still have to patch the 3 in hole they knocked in the hall way he said he wasn't responsible for, and also get another cabinet to fit in with the pipes that are in the way. Bell-reeves may do ok work on somethings but they know nothing about water heaters.

We had them install three ceiling fans and two light fixtures. They came exactly on time, completed the work in three hours, and cleaned up afterwards. Very professional. A little pricey but worth it for a job well done.
