I had a wonderful experience with Mallick. When I called, the receptionist was very kind and pleasant. They were able to give me same day service at a reasonable price. The plumbers came and replaced my broken garbage disposal with a new one while observing the CDC guidelines regarding proper distance and preventative measures. I would definitely use Mallick again and refer others to their services.

Highly recommended! Mike Snyder arrived as scheduled and explained how to mitigate the problems I provided and advised accordingly. He was friendly and very professional. Work appeared to be of good quality.
Jacob responded within a couple of hours of my call about a leaking 24-year old water heater and other issues. He replaced the unit the same day by quickly sourcing it and acquiring all necessary parts. Also installed a mixing valve and pressure control unit, replaced a leaking hose bib valve, and after inspecting exposed pipes he found and repaired a copper pipe where a pinhole leak was forming. He prevented a flood by doing so. Jacob is meticulous in his work, his pipe work looks great and everything functions perfectly. Jacob worked until past midnight to finish the necessary work so that our water service was restored. He's a true professional who takes pride in doing an excellent job, and it was a pleasure to have Jacob in our home.

My electric water heater needed to be replaced so, after speaking with 3 plumbing companies, I invited Mallick out for an evaluation. Gene arrived promptly, went over recommendations. I chose one model -- not cheap, but the price included installation and they carry a line of industrial-grade water heaters you can't buy at Home Depot. He returned with the water heater and J.T. The old appliance was clogged, so removal was very difficult and the job took 1+1/2 hrs. longer than expected. No extra charge! They covered my floors when they had to bring the old one through to the front door. For their promptness, professionalism and cheerful determination, Mallick has earned my future business!
I called Mallick based on reviews I had read and I appreciate that they are not a huge franchise plumbing company. Frank came out, did some diagnostics, and repaired the problem. Or so we had thought! Then they came back out to re-assess and figure out the problem. Ultimately I can say that they are dedicated to determining the problem and if they do not, they are dedicated to making sure you are 100% satisfied with their service. Love them -- and for sure will be hiring them again!
I requested a quote from this company to replace our water heater. The quote was incredibly high, in fact I let the technician, Jacob, know that his quote was thousands dollars higher than comparable competitors and I asked him if he can elaborate more on the different on price. The guy said that he will give a very detailed quote that he elaborated on only after sitting in his van parked in our driveway for two hours (that was pretty ridiculous) even after I requested that he send the info by email. In the quote, that was far from detailed, I did not find that they do any state-of-the-art work. Indeed on the same visit I asked about replacing a cast iron sewer stack pipe with a no-hub cast iron pipe and Jacob told that would be extremely difficult and expensive, other companies provide me reasonable quotes for the same job.

The quality of the work was fine. I had some issues that their management quickly resolved for me.

The guy fixed the issue, unfortunately he hung around (on the clock) and didn't tell me he was done. He just waited around, until I ask,Are we done? He said yes and I'll go clock out now. He basically double the cost because he went over 30 minutes, by 8 minutes. Wasn't illegal or anything just felt a little unethical. But luckily I can't always use another firm. I would just advise anyone to watch them and ask over & over are you done? And make sure they stop the clock.

We had three plumbing issues in our home. They overcharged us the quoted price, and the issues were not resolved. I called twice and was told I would get a call back, and never did. On the first call about the cost (immediately after the plumber left our house), the person on the phone said they would send us a corrected invoice - which we never did and they cashed our check. After the 2nd and 3rd call about the invoice and the unresolved issues, we gave up. We will not use Mallick again. Terrible service.

We were very impressed with Luis' service fixing our water leak. He took the time to inspect the problem and the surrounding areas giving advice for what could be additional areas needing work. We appreciated his simple to understand explanations and honesty during the entire interaction. Thanks Luis!

CJ came by and fully assembled my new PRV, installed two shut-off valves, and my tankless water heater with ease. He was very informative, neatly set up the area, and went the extra mile in helping me move my 22-year-old water heater to be removed by a collector.
Compared to other estimates, this company was very reasonable, and the quality of the work is excellent. Would highly recommend Mallick's Plumbing and the technician CJ for future projects!

My new to me townhouse had a water heater that was at least 14 years old. Although it was still heating water and not leaking, it did make some grumpy aging noises. The plumber I had used when I was renovating last summer was unavailable and going to be out for a long period of time. His voicemail recommended Mallick.
I called Mallick and they were very personable over the phone. Due to COVID-19, I got to do a virtual call with Dale. I pointed out all my concerns and he asked for me to zoom in on some points of my old water heater. He said he would work on a quote for me and get it to me. And he did. Quote came quickly. I reviewed, but also wanted to get some other quotes for comparison. I used the Yelp option to send out a request to other plumbing companies. I did get replies, but only one other plumber gave me a quote. Others said they'd call to schedule a call but didn't.
So, I ended up with Mallick. I mentioned that the quote was a bit higher than expected. Dale reviewed some options and we settled on a plan that would work for me for the next decade. Dale ordered the water heater and other parts. Within a week or so, Katee from Mallick called to schedule.
Tyler showed up at my house bright an early the day of the appointment. I thought it was going to be two people, but it was just Tyler. Thankfully, my water heater closet is on the main level and right at the front door so he didn't have too far to go!
Took about 4-5 hours for the new water heater, expansion tank, and all the other bits and pieces to get installed. Tyler was informative and explained what I needed to know about the new water heater. While he was wrapping up, I had asked him about some other issues about the pressure valve and other pipes that probably needed to get checked and replaced. Tyler quoted it out for me so I had what I needed to research.
Good thing Tyler and I had chatted about it cause something wonky was happening with the water/pipes in the house. I got a lot of water hammering noise throughout the weekend. Draining everything and hoping air would get back into the pipes didn't help much. So, I called Mallick and asked Tyler to come back out. He came the next day and changed out the pressure valve. and checked for other issues. He was going to change the valve under the water meter for me, but had to have WSSC come out to fix the valve at the curb to turn off the water.
After WSSC came out and fixed the valve at the curb, Tyler came back out to finish changing the valve. Good timing cause before he arrived, I could hear a toilet tank refilling. Tyler checked it out, did the dye test and there's a leak. So, once the parts come in, he'll be back.
Mallick is following COVID precautions. Tyler has a mask and gloves. He's also mindful of property wearing booties over his shoes inside the house. Also careful to make sure the door is closed as he goes in and out of the house to his work truck. Incredibly polite. Definitely recommend Mallick Plumbing.

Amazing service and great price! Tyler was so nice and so professional. We had a bad shower leak yesterday, left a message last night on their phone and they called me right back st 7am this morning. By noon today the leak was fixed for a fair price. Thank you so much, Mallick Plumbing. You saved our neck!
Mallick plumbing is really excellent. I called and was able to get someone to come to my home the next day to fix an overflowing utility sink. Jacob came on time and worked quickly. He explained what was wrong and how he would fix it. The pricing is very reasonable and fair.
Mallick Plumbing was fast to respond to our leak. Our plumber Rob arrived on time and discovered our issue within minutes. He went right to work and was done quickly. Rob was very friendly and thorough when discussing options. We will definitely be using them again!
I am very pleased with the service that Mallick Plumbers provided after another company dropped the ball. Jose was the name of the plumber that provided great service. He explained where the shit off valve was located in the crawl space. He was very polite and wore booties in the house.
I would recommend this service to everyone.
I previous called Mallick plumbing to snake my main drain in 2021. Both times in 2021 they charged me around $450. I called them back today (9/30/22) to do the same thing and I asked the girl who answered the phone to confirm the price and she refused to saying only the plumber can give me a price when he comes out. When the plumbers arrived they quoted me $900 minimum to do the same job. When I asked why double the price they said their prices have gone up twice since last year. He also said they have standard prices so the girl on the phone should have told me what they charge. Clearly they are raising prices just because other prices are going up and they are doing the same for no reason. Avoid Mallick!!! Take the time to call around and get prices.

Mike and Connor did a fanatic g job.
Service :::::::
I called to have my water heater replace. It was 20 years old and was leaking from one of the valves. I called Mallick based off all the great Yelp reviews (thank you fellow Yelpers). I worked with Mike and Connor. They did a wonderful job in Installing my water heater. They made recommendations but no pressure.
Educating the Customer :::::::
They also took the time to explain such as ;
* My old water heater vs the new water heater
* The labeled everything and explained the labels
* How to bleeding the pipes so in the winter there are no issues and
* What do in case I need to turn off the water
This rarely happens that someone takes the time to make sure you are better informed and put you at ease. This was really important to me. Before calling them my basement area was gushing out water and it took me a couple of stressful minutes to find the shut off valve. I could not remember which valve was which.
Overall ::::::::
I would definitely recommend and use Mallick again. I really appreciate their timeliness, educating the customer and how professional they were.
After having bad experiences with two other companies (both overcharging and one incompetent) in handling a major plumbing problem, I came to Mallick. They offered a much less expensive solution at a price that was half what a 4th company quoted for the same procedure and was five times less than one of the 1st two companies quoted me for a different solution. The staff, both office and technicians, were all pleasant and competent. Techs arrived on time and finished in the time frame and at the price estimated. A good experience all around! Thank you, Mallick!

Mallick Plumbing is the best in the business. Consistent, top quality workmanship, punctuality, and fair prices for work performed. Their strong reputation and stellar reviews are well deserved. Cameron, one of Mallick's plumbers, repiped our kitchen plumbing after we detected a slab leak and because of his professionalism and the quality of his work, I signed up for Mallick's annual maintenance contract and Cameron is my go-to plumber whenever I need help. I highly recommend this company!
I'm very happy with my experience with Mallick Plumbing & Heating. I sent an email to their service department to fix my water pressure in our master bathroom and within 48 hours, my inquiry was responded to with a call to schedule an appointment. I was given multiple appointment windows in a week's time frame and scheduled the appointment. The service technician showed up at our house at the beginning of our 2-hour window, assessed our water pressure problem, evaluated our entire HVAC and plumbing system, fixed the water pressure problem and was out of the house within an hour. The service was also very affordable.
I appreciate good service, honest solutions and fair pricing; all of which I received from Mallick Plumbing & Heating. I will use this company again for residential plumbing and HVAC issues and will refer my friends.
I had an overhead shut off valve in my laundry room that was leaking. I took it apart and went to Home Depot to try to replace it. No go on that. So I called Mallick Plumbing. They told me it would be between 1-4pm (it was now 10am), so I agreed. The guy who came out was Mike C. and he got there earlier than promised. He was very friendly, and professional, even offering to rebuild the valve to save money. I just went ahead and had him replace it. He did a great job installing the new shut off valve, and even cleaned up the pipe so it wouldn't turn green. I could not be happier with the work that was done. I'd definitely recommend these guys for your plumbing needs.
I had an emergency after Washington Gas said that there was a gas leak from the meter from the regulator and they said that it needed to be replaced immediately. They were able to send someone over in a few hours and although the cost was on emergency rates, the pricing was still competitive among other companies and were very responsive. They had someone come over beforehand to check the leak to see what part needed to be replaced before they had the technician come over which was very helpful. Troy was very knowledgeable and explained things in layman terms so it was easy to understand. I would highly recommend Mallick Plumbing & Heating for future issues.

We wrote 5+ plumbers on yelp about replacing our outdoor faucet and prices were really high! So on a google search Mallick had really good ratings, so I called and it was a free consultation as long as they didn't have to take anything apart.
So he showed up on time and even called beforehand. The price really fair and was what it should be. FInally a good reliable plumber!
We discovered that a section of our basement had gotten flooded over the weekend due to a leak in our water pipe and were desperately searching for a plumber to come out right away. Mallick is one of the few plumbing companies that actually have people answering their phone instead of making you leave a message and hoping someone will call within 24 hours or more. Jeff Jarvis of Mallick Plumbing came out promptly the next morning and ended up replacing a front hose bibb. He also replaced a flapper in one of our toilets. He did an excellent job and I would definitely recommend him. He had to come out to our house twice to do this job and only charged $341, which is very reasonable. The next time I have a plumbing issue, I will not hesitate to call Jeff.

Mallick plumbing was recommended to us by a friend, and we were not disappointed. They came out within 24 hours of calling to replace a section of pipe that was leaking. Provided suggestions to prevent the same leak in other pipes (water filtration system to remove chlorine and prevent corrosion of our copper pipes) and connected us with a water remediation company who came out same day. Observed covid protocols and social distancing etc. Would definitely recommend Mallick Plumbing to other homeowners.

Saturday afternoon we learned there was a mild gas leak and the builder never put a termination kit on the gas pipe for the cooktop 22 years ago. Mallick answered the phone and had someone out within 2 hours. They stabilized the leak and returned on Sunday with parts to fix the pipe. They were great at keeping me updated and everyone was amazing!

We called Mallick today to repair our leaking kitchen faucet and replace it with a new one we purchased. It
turned out we had a clogged pipe preventing the flow of warm water as well. Mallick and specifically our technician Luis Lemus diagnosed and cleaned the clog and we were good to go and back to normal; just before a busy weekend. Thanks for your great
service!
My hot water heating was not working, so I called Mallick Plumbing. They sent Dale and his associate out the same day. They arrived on time, identified the issue and fixed it quickly and at a reasonable cost. I would definitely recommend them.

Mallick's Plumbimg was awesome. Called on a Friday night for an emergency issues in the basement. The dispatcher made great suggestions and sent Jacob out the next morning to complete the work. Jacob was punctual, courteous and professional. He informed me of the work to be completed and performed a great job.. I would highly recommend them and use them again in the future.
Excellent service!! After leaving messages with two other plumbing companies without a response, I called Mallick and was able to schedule an appointment for the following day. I was very happy with our plumber Tyler. He was on time, knowledgeable and was able to fix two clogged drains quickly. I would definitely called Mallick Plumbing and Heating again if faced with another plumbing issue. Thank you for fixing my clogged tub and sink!!
We have 2 Ejector pumps in our basement and we had an issue. I called Mallick at the recommendation of my plumber who no longer works with ejector pumps. At first we just replace the floats for ~$550. The Labor rate for a plumber and helper was $450 for 1.5 hours. I thought it was high but I paid and moved on.
3 weeks later we had the same issue and I called them back to see if it was related to there work, as I said over the phone. It wasn't, the pump was bad. Since it wasn't related we were charged for the Diagnosis $240 for a half hour. We were then offered the fix for $5600. $3400 in parts and $2160 for 8.5 hours labor, I declined.
I had a few other estimates and ended up getting the issue fixed for $1350 parts and labor.
I have no issue with the work performed, but at a rate of $240 for the first 30 minutes and $60 every additional 15 minutes, the rate is as high as you will see. Also, giving estimates to replace whole systems when just a part will do is not good service in my opinion.
TL;DR - Good Service, Excessively Expensive
Excellent services and fairly priced. Would definitely recommend and will call them again when needed.
The technician came earlier than expected so I did not have to wait around which was nice. The technician was very courteous and explained to me in an intuitive way as to what was causing my plumbing issue. He also showed me the benefits of the tools that he was using and solved my plumbing issue. I will definitely call Mallick again for any future plumbing issues. They are an excellent company.
We had pipes break during the cold snap they came out and quickly evaluated the situation and was able to get the water back on
highly recommend I will come next time I need a plumber. They're coming back out to do some follow up work as well.
Thank you Kevin and Connor for great service
Margaret
We had an issue with a drain that we couldn't resolve on our own. I ended up calling Mallick after a friend told me they were the best around. As expected, they came out promptly and resolved my issue quickly. The technician was extremely pleasant and did a fantastic job overall making sure he was working clean. He answered all our questions and made us feel like we made the right call.
Thank you very much!
Very responsive. Very efficient. Very professional!
Got the job done in record time. Very transparent with all the charges. All in all I would recommend them! Our tech was: Conner.

Yesterday was Sunday, I sent an email to Mallick Plumbing & Service to request for a service for my water heater which was only about 9 years old. Today is Monday and I received a call in the morning and asked me when I wanted them to come out. They did come less than an hour. The whole work took about 4 hours to remove my old water heater and install a new one plus replacing a dual check valve backflow preventer. The service was great and Luis and Ethan were knowledge to explain things to me. They wore shoes cover when walking inside the house which was nice. Everything went well, and now I have a new water heater to enjoy.
However, by comparing the price from 6 years ago, it went up more than double. I didn't expect the price would be that costly.

I had waited for my insurance company to send a plumber for over 24 hours to no avail.
I called these guys at 8p. I asked Jeff, who answered the phone, for an estimate which he told me $350 and what I thought was $60 per extra hour (but actually turned out to be $60 per extra quarter hour). I was told the plumber would show up within the next two hour window. Bobby showed up at 9p. I was quite happy it only took one hour for him to show up. He did a great job. He protected my floors and worked efficiently.
However after 1 hour of work to fix a main drain blockage, I was billed $540. With a mysterious $120 rental fee for the snake machine that Jeff forgot to mention when I asked for an estimate before dispatching the plumber.
So. Yes I was happy with the work done, and response time. But a simple snake for a drain all done within an hour and then billed $540? Ouch. Another thing is that they won't work with your insurance company, that's all on you.
I might use them again if I had to, but I would probably ask for a written estimate next time since I payed twice the amount I expected from our phone conversation.

I had a plumbing inspection done by Billy and needed several plumbing issues updated and corrected. Billy was very through with his inspection. A couple weeks later, I started the work that needed to be done. Mike was the technician that day and he replaced all of my sink shut off valve. He was very professional and showed up on time. I was replacing my toilets and one of the rings were bad. I asked how much it would cost to replace my toilet and if he could do it while he was there. He told me he could and it would cost time and any materials that were needed (I had purchase my toilet from the store). Their pricing is reasonable. I recommend Billy and Mike and I would definitely hire Mallick for any of my plumbing needs I might have in the future.

I had a water leak in the ceiling of my kitchen, below the washing machine upstairs. Called Mallick and Dale came out within 90 minutes and quickly diagnosed the problem, which was the washer and its pan, not the plumbing. Dale spent the time to explain the issue and how to proceed. Also looked at my water heater and pipes in the basement and recommended upkeep in the future, but was not trying to sell me on anything - just provide good homeowner advice. It was appreciated.
Jeff
Very professional and friendly staff, I'm very glad that I called them to take a look at my water heater. I highly recommend their services.
Fantastic Professionals. Good Communications, scheduling was easy and their technicians are knowledgeable and trustworthy.
I can't recommend Mallick plumbing enough. We needed a hot water heater and the process was quick and easy. They technician doing the assessment was very clear that while our heater was still working it was very very old and it was just a matter of time before we had a big issue. He didn't seem to be an alarmist in general so I trusted when he said if we didn't want a mess on our hands we needed to act fast. They were very accurate about their appointment windows and went above and beyond when I needed a CO detector prior to inspection (totally my fault, but they helped me out). Give them a call for your hot water heating needs!
I had a leak appearing on my dining room ceiling and called Mallick. Remy Lopez came out and within 15 minutes he was able to determine the source and fixed the problem quickly. I've always been impressed with the responsiveness, courtesy and expertise I've experienced with Mallick in the past, and Remy was no exception. Highly recommended and reasonable priced to boot!
Great experience from the woman that helped on the phone to Dale coming to the rescue !
Appreciate the quick response and turnaround. Great communication too !
First off-- they are the ONLY plumbing company that has ever come the next day (after calling them). We have had many issues over the years and have tried many different plumbers. This company comes when they say that they do - and on time!
re January 2016 work =Frank R. was very helpful. He fixed our two toilets and sinks. During the repairs, he noticed that our hot water heater was dying and causing other problems. He installed our new hot water heater the next week. Everything was efficient, perfect and without any issues. We have not had any problems with our plumbing since. He is a great asset to the company.
Dale and Jacob did an outstanding job troubleshooting our leak that developed in our kitchen and garage area of our townhouse. Their customer service skills and professionalism are truly incredible. They were both meticulous and they took the time to really listen too and address all of our concerns. We highly recommend these professionals for any an all emergencies that you may experience in home ownership.
Chad was the technician that came to my home. He diagnosed the toilet problem within seconds and fixed a few other things for us too. Also gave plumbing tips to help us avoid problems in the future. Price was fair and work was Excellent! We definitely will be doing business with them again.

I contacted them to fix a bursted pipe. The receptionist was professional and courteous and kept me in the loop throughout the process. The plumber came on time and was covid compliant. Their rate was reasonable. In a nutshell, Mallick Plumbing is reliable and they make it easy to solve your plumbing issues.
Very happy I went with Mallick Plumbing for my small service needs. My toilet fill valve was leaking and I needed a new water Supply Line. Mike S was a very polite and knowledgeable plumber and he was in and out within 35 minutes. Very easy to schedule and work with. Will be using them again in the future.
Great experience two times. Would recommend. Dale was the technician and was wonderful.

We had an issue water hammering, this guy came and changed outside faucet. we paid $650 but did not solve anything. He said we need to change valve, estimate $1130. we are having an even worse hammering.

Another company doing work on my house yesterday told us they could smell gas in our basement and identified the source of a small leak in a gas pipe. My wife and I could not smell it - the leak was tiny - but it was there and it was leaking.
I was then able to get Mallick Plumbing to send someone over within hours - on a Friday! - to fix the pipe. Tyler and his colleague did great work and stopped the leak within 1.5 hours. I am super relieved.
I was very impressed with Mallick's responsiveness and professionalism, and I would happily recommend them to anyone in the area.
Do note that they charge by the half hour, but to be able to go into a weekend not worried about a gas leak was totally worth it.
After reading their reviews, we expected great service. Instead, we got a $475 bill for a look around and then a personal visit to say they couldn't help us with our issue. I'm fine with being open about our needing a different type of firm for the work, but don't go cashing the check I wrote for nothing to be done. They said they'd look into the ridiculously high fee, but we never heard from them again.
Update: Mallick reached out to us about the situation. They did work with us to resolve and the company they referred us to (waterproofing) has been great. They also refunded our check and attributed the charge to a miscommunication between the office and the worker who came to our house. I'll give them 3 stars after this resolution

We had a blockage in the kitchen sink. Frank Rothwell came out and cleared the blockage. He was very neat and professional. Since we are relatively new to the area, he reviewed all our plumbing needs and advised us on maintenance and preventative issues. We found Mallick Plumbing on Angie's List. We now have a go to plumber for future issues.

Chuck and Jose were sent out to evaluate and complete the job They checked all other toilets were flushing properly Offered to give me a quote but I had already decided I wanted Mallick plumbing &heating to do the job When I called.I was told up front what the fee was for the dispatch and estimate . I was scheduled for between 8:30am-10am I was called no later than9:15am to be alerted they might be running late due to traffic. ChucI and Jose tried all other options before snaking the toilet They kept me informed thought to let them know what they were doing. Could not have had a better team come to my home. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for plumbing jobs

I would have loved to use them but they couldn't give me a quote for a standard disposal replacement. Essentially they charge to give a quote, which makes me question their pricing practices. Everyone should be able to receive a standard quote so they can compare companies before moving forward. Best way to ensure a good experience.

I called Mallick Plumbing for an estimate on a 40 gallon hot water heater that had blown. After not having hot water for four days because of the holiday weekend, we were grateful that they were able to send a technician within hours of our call. He inspected the existing unit and quoted a price to replace our unit that was significantly higher than anything else we received, therefore we did not use their services. After learning of our dissatisfaction, an representative from the company contacted us and offered to refund their initial fee of $90, which we appreciated. In the end, their customer service was better than any of the other plumbers we contacted, but the significantly higher price continued to be a sticking point for us.
I needed help with leak detection and got in touch with someone from Mallick who dispatched Billy early in the morning after the holiday.
Billy arrived from Mallick about 6:30 am and was highly professional and very knowledgeable about where and what to look for.
I do have a complaint in that I feel I actually identified the location of the leak (refrigerator line that only has water in it when you press for water or when the fridge is making ice) and I was charged 3 hours for the detection and a recommended upgrade to the connection for the supply line.
In addition however I decided to have them install a whole house filter and it being a flat rate Billy was very helpful on where it should be installed and I generally an all around great plumber.
Very clean and very professional.

Extremely professional organization. Quoted the job over the phone, beat competitive bids, showed up when scheduled, friendly and courteous personnel both in the back office and on the job site, completed the work quickly. All in all, a truly professional organization that I would recommend to others.

I book online with this outfit Five days ahead of the appointment date. I indicated all the details about my electric water heater that needed repair. I even included two photos of it and its location in a loft closet. I got an email back confirming it.
On the day of the appointment I waited all morning and finally texted them when no one showed up. I got a text back from a Christina that wanted me to call their office to confirm the appointment. It was as if they knew nothing about it. Totally irritating. What' the use of booking online if they don't come out. CLOWNS!!!!!
Pros: Mike was terrific. He was punctual, able to unclog my sink, and knowledgeable.
Cons: Shannon provided a quote, but failed to list potential additional fees. When I spoke with Jasmine on the phone, I informed her that I needed the snake machine. Even after stating this, she failed to mention that there was an additional fee to use the snake machine. I realize that she probably thought I didn't know what I was talking about, but I knew this because I snaked my sink twice and needed to bring in the big guns. Had I received an accurate quote for $310 to unclog my kitchen sink and buy the special enzyme powder, I would have used somebody else.
I am appreciative of Shannon for displaying excellent customer service skills and charging me for the hourly rates I was anticipating as I wasn't aware of additional fees when agreeing to use Mallick.
Learn from me: DO NOT put spices down the kitchen sink when cleaning out your pantry.
Excellent service, very polite and punctual. Joe is a wizard at water treatment. Will definitely call again.

I had a problem with a leaky valve and called Mallick. I set up an appointment time and asked for a ballpark estimate for the replacement of the valve. My call was then routed to Mike Mallick who explained to me how to fix the leak myself, saving me at least $450. The character and honesty shown to me by Mr. Mallick really impressed me. I would and will fully recommend Mallick for any plumbing or heating job just based on the experience I had with Mr. Mallick.

I had 2 pin-hole fixes to my copper piping in the basement. Appointment was very easy to set up for the next day. The plumber (Mike) arrived on time as promised and was very pleasant and polite. The work was done right and to my satisfaction. The rate of $140 for the first 30-min and $40 per 15-min after that was steep though IMO. With this pricing scheme there is no motivation to finish the work quickly. I paid $285 for an hour of work (material was $25 and the labor was $260). This may be OK for small emergency jobs, but for bigger jobs you should ask for fixed-price quote instead of going by the hour.
Had an emergency clog. Were quoted $400 for the first hour of emergency service. Charged an additional $60 for the use of hose equipment to clear clog, but weren't told until after. So for a 45 minute service, charged $460. Seems a bit outrageous.

Mallick plumbing was very professional and efficient in their service. They quickly fixed a valve leak in our basement. Their office responded quickly to our inquiry through Yelp as well. Would recommend!
Brandon responded to a service request a few weeks ago. He was very professional and answered all my questions. He wore a mask and cleaned up when he was done. I recommend Brandon and Mallick Plumbing.

I had a clogged pipe from my kitchen. This was very urgent because the kitchen sink and dishwasher were not going to be able to drain without making a huge mess in the basement. They came within a few hours of making the call, were quick with knowing what to do, resolved the issue and gave recommendations on how to avoid the same from happening again.
Responsive, fair and did not try to take advantage of a shower leak they diagnosed properly in a short time. Solution was implemented and no problems since.

Dale and Chris were very professional in diagnosing the exact location of a leaking pipe in my townhouse garage and kitchen. After talking with Dale he really troubleshooted the issue on the phone. He is a genuis in immediately resolving this ongoing issue. I would definitely call Mallick again for future plumbing problems and recommend to my friends likewise. He also recommended a water filtration system to prevent pinholes and corrosion of my copper pipes due to hard water. Dale and Chris listened to a customer's concerns and offered excellent suggestions. Thank you for sending these professional plumbers.

I called Mallick for an issue with a flange problem after trying to install a new toilet. They sent a plumber that day and I was told that I needed to have my concrete floor partially removed to fix it correctly. I asked if they could have someone come the next day and they said yes.
Frank Rothwell came to my home at 8:00 AM and did an incredible job of explaining, fixing and cleaning up within a few hours. Frank was professional, courteous and the perfect example of what customer service should be with the expert plumbing knowledge required. I can appreciate it all since I own my own business requiring the same.
In addition, I mentioned to Frank that my Jacuzzi tub would not come on and he said let me take a look and found the problem within minutes and will be returning with the replacement part.
Thank you Mallick plumbing and Frank Rothwell my new go to plumbing company and plumber.
Frank installed a replacement copper water line and saddle valve for a new refrigerator. He explained the steps involved in the process before starting this work. He communicated with me throughout the process in a professional and pleasant manner. He was respectful of my property and cleaned up all areas that he worked in after he completed the job. I will request that Mallick send Frank to do the job for any future plumbing issues I may have in my home.

Brandon came to assess my Toto toilet. Asked him what the price was to replace it instead of repair it. Said he would need a minute to get the price from his computer in his truck. Left at 12:00. 1:00 came by, and he still had not returned. Needed to return to work. Meanwhile, he sat in his car on my street and did not return to my house until 1:20, 5 minutes after I texted the office that he had abandoned the job. He then returned to his truck, where he sat on my street until 2:15. I guess he really wasn't that busy if he could sit for 2 hours in his van parked on my street. Oh, and he had called asking if he could come early because he had a very busy day ahead of him.
Needless to say, we won't be using them again.
Insensitive and disrespectful of client's time.
1 hour to quote the price for a new toilet? Seriously? It took me exactly 43 seconds to find the price on Google. Surely, it wouldn't take them 59 minutes and 17 seconds to figure out how much they would charge me to install it...

Mallick Plumbing has helped several times with plumbing issues in my home. I find them to be professional, courteous, and skilled in what they do. Today was no exception. Luis Lemus and his assistant installed a new water heater. They did an excellent job and left the site in immaculate condition. I highly recommend them. My dog was even pleased with them!
Too expensive. Paid $750 to have the hot water heater flushed and replace the elements. Part of that charge was just waiting for the tank to warm up and check the water temperature.
Dale from Mallick Plumbing came to my house to give me an estimate on a sump pump today. I was very pleasantly surprised by his candor when he advised a sump pump is probably not the best solution to my problem, and he put me in touch with a landscaper instead. I proceeded to ask questions about other potential plumbing projects in my home, including ones that previous plumbers who visited suggested would be needed; and for each one Dale consistently made it clear that he was more interested in my best interests than he was in just writing an invoice for the sake of generating business. After this experience, Mallick Plumbing is now saved in my phone as my go-to company for any plumbing project that comes up in the future. At least in my experience, it's been hard to find a plumbing company that is so honestly focused on the customer--until now. Thank you Dale and thank you Mallick Plumbing! :)
First time using Mallick for a leak under the main bathroom tub. Called a couple other places friends and neighbors recommended but Mallick was the first who could come out today (as opposed to Monday!), so I went with reviews and took a chance.
Scheduling was easy; secretary said between 1-3 and someone would call first. Dale came around 2PM but no phone call - lucky I'd come back home from a quick errand or nobody would have been here for some time. Also, other places I've called have been up front in the first phone conversation about how much a service visit would cost; it would have been nice to not have to guess at that or try (and fail) to squeeze it edgewise into the initial phone call.
Problem was either the overflow or the gasket around the faucet. Dale ran a bead of silicon around both, with the caveat that he couldn't warranty that work, and called it done. While he was here, I had him look at a leak to the outside hose line, which he tightened up. For the half-hour (maybe!) he was here (the invoice said 3/4 hour but no way!), I was out $180. I still don't know whether the water was coming from the gasket or the overflow, since he made no effort to isolate the problem; if it was the overflow, then in retrospect it would have made more sense to find and correct the actual leak than just caulk closed a device that's supposed to stay OPEN.
Dale was polite and prompt, did a half-baked cleanup of the wet insulation in the basement but left me to finish it because it'd be easier once it dried. (Well, it *would* but that's kinda beside the point for $180, no?) Could also have done without the extra I'm not trying to sell you something extra but.... attempts at extras.
On the invoice Dale wrote No Warranty - this would presumably include the tightening on the hose outlet pipe, which I called attention to, but he assured me that there would be no problem with it, that it was routine. Be that as it may, I don't think it's out of line to want the warranty for that work at least, nor do I think it's out of line to question whether $180 for work that won't be warranted AT ALL is perhaps unreasonable. :-/
Also, a tip for Mallick: if you read something on Yelp that isn't complimentary, feel free to respond the way many businesses already do, with a note to the effect of Sorry you received less than satisfactory service from us; please call us at [number] and let us know how we can make things right; we strive to provide 100% customer satisfaction. Sincerely, [Name]. Calling customers personally asking why *they* didn't call *you* (it was because things got busy here and I forgot about it until you sent the invoice, actually, that's all - nothing malicious) before Yelping you (indicating that you had read the Yelp review even though you had not responded) isn't really the best way to mend fences or inspire confidence. I appreciate the follow-up email to that phone call, which is really the response I should have gotten in the first place, but by then it was too little too late. I'm glad to know that you've learned from this episode, but for my part, I'm inclined to say that I too have learned from it and to call this case closed. Reading the other reviews here I really had high hopes, and I hope that this was just a blip on the radar for us both.

The vice president of the company called me today. He is nice enough to listen to my complaints and spend time trying to resolve the issue with me. I will give the company a three star now.
I called in the morning; Mallick sent Jacob at noon. He gave us an estimate for clearing the stoppage at our kitchen sink, and came in well below it. He also evaluated the condition of our garbage disposal, which we thought we'd replace, and not only pronounced it in good condition but showed us comparative photographs to prove it. He was always respectful, tidy, and seemed to have our interests at heart. He also sent us proof of Covid vaccination and was masked and booted throughout.
A good experience overall.
We highly recommend this company. They have completed several jobs in our home and were very professional and courteous. Naun Alvarez and his partner Jacob explained what the problem was and how they would fix it. They even showed us what they did and what to look for in the future. They were the best!

Best plumbing experience ever! I have had some bad experiences with plumbers so needed a new one and looked at Yelp reviews for help choosing one. Mallick is highly rated so I called them for help with a backed up shower drain, a leak under a sink and installation of a new faucet. I was able to get a same-day appointment, and the plumbers - Troy and Connor - arrived when they said they would and went right to work. They were friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. I had had the shower drain snaked about 6 months before by Len the Plumber at a cost of $300 for a 10 minute visit and it started backing up again within a month. Unlike Len, Troy did a thorough job by not only snaking the drain but also cleaning out what looked like about 25 years of calcium build-up, which was narrowing the drain. The final cost of the visit was $430 - a total bargain for the quality of the work performed. Mallick Plumbing & Heating will be my go-to plumbers from now on. A++++++++++
NEW TOILET INSTALL:
Supplied my own new toilet, they supplied $18.85 in parts and two hours labor costing $610.00 (Yes, six hundred ten dollars.)
You be the judge.

I was very happy with the work performed by Mallick. The plumber who fixed my leaking valve, Frank, took two seconds to diagnose the problem and showed me how to fix it myself. Any number of other firms would have replaced the valve at a much higher cost. I also had a problem with pressure (it would vary to the point of no water) and diagnosed the pressure reducing valve. He talked to me through the entire diagnostic process. He told me he had a replacement part in his truck, but that it was designed for commercial use and cost about three times what the residential use part cost. He was back the next day with the correct part. I could have paid twice, or even three times what I paid. Very trustworthy and very competent. I hope I don't have to call a plumber again, but I know who I'll call if I do. Great job!

I have used Mallick for four different tasks, with Mike S. being my designated plumber.
Pros:
-Mike is the man. Not only is he super nice and thoughtful, you can tell he knows his stuff inside and out.
-Scheduling is always easy via phone or Yelp.
-Prices are reasonable.
Cons:
-None!
Mallick is my top and only choice for plumbing. I know this from experience with sub-par plumbing companies in the area. Please trust me when I say that the little bit of extra cost in getting work done by Mallick is indeed worth the peace of mind that your toilets aren't running and wasting water, that your garbage disposal isn't leaking, etc. All work that Tyler Smith (Service Technician) has done over the years has remained solid and withstanding the challenges in our home. Tyler can fix and install and has a depth of knowledge when it comes to various aspects of plumbing so I would recommend asking him questions, I know you got them. Thank you Tyler and Mallick for delivering quality while taking precautions during this pandemic. A+ work!
I had my old sump pump ( turns out it was 30 years old) and it didn't hold up against all the rain we had towards the end of December and there was about an inch or so of water all across my basement. Ugh. After spending about $1700 getting a company to clean up, I knew I needed a sump pump. Mallick came quickly and offered me three different sump pump options and I chose the higher end one but I wasn't pushed towards one out the other. I think my plumber was Jeff, and he was extremely helpful and because I have an unfinished basement, he reviewed my current plumbing while there, since it was easy to see, and let me know I will need to have my water heater replaced because a pipe is bending under weight under this balloon like thing attached to the heater. He didn't notice anything else. I'm going to have this sump pump and see how it does with the rain that will eventually come and hopefully it will show me if I really need to have the basement waterproofed, or if the sump pump was the problem.
Have mixed experience about the company. It wasn't very easy to schedule a visit but the technician was extremely thorough and friendly, however, after the visit I was frustrated with their slow and non-responsive nature when it came to getting an official quote.
I decided to use a different service provider as the quote is expensive to competitor.
Jacob made a service call to my home for shower faucet repairs. As he was inspecting his work he noted that the water pressure was too high. He came back to replace the pressure reducing valve. He did a great job. I am very pleased with his work and professionalism. While he was here he identified another bad faucet and was able to repair it on the same call. I highly recommend Mallick Plumbing.
We were charged $800 for 3 hours service, while we were told at beginning that it would be $190 first hour and $140 following hours. I think too expensive, I would not recommend. This to find the leak.
Terrific. I bought a condo that had recently been renovated. Was surprised to be greeted my first morning here with only lukewarm water in the shower. Called two other plumbers first -- one ignored me, and the other couldn't get to me soon enough. Mallick was able to schedule me quickly, and quoted their rates up front. Before the plumber began work, he double checked to be sure I knew their rates. He quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem, and I no longer feel like I'm camping in my own home.
My sense is they're not the cheapest around, but frankly I would have paid them just about anything to have a hot shower. I'll use them again if I have need for another plumbing repair.
So expensive. Triple cost than regular companies. I called three OTHER companies, and they were all a third of the price Mallick wanted to charge us.
Note: I didn't pay for the call (it's a rental) so I can't say as far as price. But they were here exactly when they said, were friendly and thorough.
I had a ball valve spring a pinhole leak in my drop ceiling on a Friday night and called Mallick for emergency service as I could not turn my water on. A technician came within a few hours and was able to quick identify the problem and stop the leak. He cut off the bad valve and put a cap on it so it would not leak anymore, it look all of 20 mins. My issue is that this quick repair cost me $450 and I still do not have a working valve for my outside faucet. I need to have a plumber come back during normal business hours to actually put a new valve on, which will cost several hundred more dollars. IMO this is borderline price gouging and taking advantage of customers in an emergency situation. I will not use them again for this reason, and will find a plumber less focused on making a quick buck. Again, the technician was competent, friendly and fixed the problem, but the price gouging leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Good Luck
Listen, no one likes to deal with the crap (pun intended) that comes along with regular household plumbing maintenance. But dare I say that Mallick Plumbing actually made the experience enjoyable?
After my kids clogged the toilet for the 468th time, i tried unclogging with a plunger and ended up covered in the contents of the toilet. After seriously considering adopting out my children, I wiped my tears and called Mallick. They answered immediately, listened to my problem and dispatched a technician immediately.
Saint Michael Snyder arrived at my door with a positive attitude and a plan. Not only did he educate me on what was actually going on, he gave me options. In the end, he saved my sanity and my bank account. Would absolutely recommend Mallick Plumbing to any and all in the Moco area needing a speedy fix for a sh*tty day.
