If I could give a zero, I would. DO NOT EVER call this company.

They charge a $150 service call, which seems fine, until you realize that they do not apply that $150 to any work done, which I have always seen as standard operating procedure. Last Friday, I had a technician show up to determine why a bathtub was leaking into the condo below. He was not inside the building for 30 minutes and just took a picture from the unit below. Calls me half an hour later to say he is not exactly sure where the problem is, and he will need to come back another day with a helper to access the tub faucet from the condo next door and make a repair. HE MADE NO REPAIRS WHATSOEVER that day but the company charged me ANOTHER $295. Yes, $445 before anyone has taken out a tool or begun any repair.

After he told me this, I called the office to ask for an itemized bill showing exactly what the $295 covered. I was told I would receive it on Monday, but did not. On Tuesday I received a statement that just showed the work he claimed was needed, but nothing to indicate why they charged an additional $295.

The icing on the cake is that when I received this statement, I called the office yet again to ask to speak with a manager.  I was told that Mr. Haynes had left but would be back. That was Tuesday, two days ago, at 11:50AM and now it is 5:45PM on Thursday. Do you think I have heard from him?

Sounds like a scam and not a plumbing company. I will investigate filing a claim with the Better Business Bureau.

Horrible service. They came out to check my water heater and determined it needed replaced. I had to follow up almost daily to find out if there was any update on a new water heater and how much it would cost. After 2 weeks of no answers, or being told to call back later, I finally gave up and went with another contractor (who installed a new water heater in less than 6 hours from when I contacted him). If you want quick and reliable service, look elsewhere.

Do NOT EVER use Haynes Plumbing. They came out to my house to fix my hot water heater because the homeowners warranty I inherited sent them and it took them several days to get here and then, after paying their service fee and waiting well over two weeks for them to come back, I had the warranty company send someone else.

Two months later, I called the warranty company again because I had a gas leak and they again sent Haynes plumbing (I would have asked them for someone else if I'd realized it was the same company I'd had such a bad experience with before). They showed up two hours late (meanwhile I'm sitting in a freezing cold house and missing work) and the plumber (Thomas) told me he didn't know what the call was for and doesn't have to equipment needed to run the pressure test I'd told them I'd needed the night before. When I got upset, he walked out the door and drove away.

They are not timely, not competent, and not responsible. I strongly recommend against ever going with them.

Horrible company if you're looking for a pleasant booking experience, appointment confirmations, timely updates when a technician is running behind schedule, and a technician that arrives as scheduled.  

I was quoted an arrival time of 11am-3pm.  At 12noon I called to check status and was told the technician would call once on their way.  After waiting another three hours (the end of the arrival time window), I placed another call.  This time I was told that my technician was in Old Town, Alexandria and once finished, he would make his way to my house.  No timeframe was provided.  I cancelled my appointment and went with another company.  Terrible experience.

Horrible. This place is a rip off! They charged me 200 dollars to fix a leak and then two weeks later it was leaking again. I called and asked if they could comp me for the first visit since it was never fixed and they said would comp me a small percent and wanted to charge me 800 dollars to get a new faucet. Also, the man on the phone was very rude and rushed me off the phone.

It turns out the 24-hour Emergency Plumbing doesn't include holidays. So it you have an emergency on say, New Year's Day...someone will call you and tell you that you have to wait until they re-open. No thank you, I'll call someone who really means 24 hour service.
