James and Jeffrey from Sunshine Plumbing were wonderful. The top priority on my list was finding out about running gas lines so I could change over my range and dryer. They helped me understand the process and costs as well as other aspects of changing over. They also provided a quote on the spot.
Additionally, I mentioned a few little [plumbing] things that had bothered me about the house since purchased so they took a look, explained and quoted as well. Other plumbers have come and gone but none helped me understand what the current solution was and how AND IF it could be improved.
Very approachable, helpful, patient and gracious.

Sunshine Plumbing was the first company to be able to respond to a leak that needed immediate attention, recommended by one of the previous companies I had called.  Justin was able to come earlier than expected and to complete the work that day.  He was courteous, friendly, and explained the problem and options for the solution clearly.  He did the work efficiently and well.

In early December of 2018, we experienced a drain line back up at our home in Lakewood.  The basement drain was backing up.  It was of course the weekend.  I called Sunshine Plumbing because I had used them in the past and had a favorable experience.  They sent someone out on 12/10/18.  The Technician offered a price of $129 to cable (clear)  and then camera the line.  I agreed to the service.  During the cable work, the Technician pulled out some roots.  Then he ran his camera through the line.  The Technician and I monitored the camera's progress.  However, it was pretty difficult for me to ascertain the true condition of the drain line because the camera view was constantly upside down and sideways.  At one point, the camera was completely underwater in what the Technician described as a low spot and this was my problem.  He recommended I either spot repair or totally replace the drain line.  It sounded expensive, so I asked him if Sunshine offered any kind of Veteran discount.  I'm an ARMY Combat Veteran.  He said they didn't, but the had a club membership for an annual cost of $294 and if I purchased such it would reduce the cost of this potential repair by 25%.  There were also many other benefits he described in great detail.  So, I purchased the club membership and he agreed to get the estimates for repairs to me ASAP.  He told me the estimate would include the club membership discount.  I was then billed $149 for the cable/clearing and camera work even though I was quoted $129.  The Technician actually noticed this and said he would just charge me $129 because that's what he quoted me, but he didn't.  
When I got the estimate for the drain line work, it was $7.8k to repair and $14.8 to replace.  The two costs were higher than I expected based on some comments the Technician made, so I called the office and asked if the estimates included the 25% discount for the club membership.  I was quickly told the club membership did not offer a discount for New Digs and that all the details were outlined in my membership information.  Ok, my fault for trusting the Technician and not reading the VERY lengthy membership agreement and terms.  After speaking to my wife, I called Sunshine back the next day and requested a refund for the club membership.  They told me they would process the refund by check and I would get it in the mail.  Not really sure why they couldn't just credit my card, but whatever.
In about two weeks, the drain line was backed up again.  The initial cable/clearing work we had done carried with it an additional clearing should it back up again within 30 days at no cost.  So, we called Sunshine on 12/30/18 and scheduled another service on the afternoon of 12/31/18.  I actually scheduled the appointment with the Sunshine answering service because Sunshine didn't answer their phone.  This has happened to me several times during normal business hours with Sunshine.  Meaning I call during normal hours and get the answering service.  I told the answering service it must be the afternoon because I was going to be working all night and wouldn't get to bed until around 6 am on 12/31.  No problem per the answering service.  However, when I did get up on 12/31 around 12:30pm, I had a message from Sunshine explaining they're only working a half day due to the holiday so it must be completed by 1pm.  I immediately called their office, but got the answering service who explained the Sunshine office was closed due to the holiday.  So, I had to call another service provider and shell out another $350.  The other company came out on New Year's Day at no extra charge.  
I still thought we had major trouble with our home drain line since it backed up twice in a few weeks and because the Sunshine Technician said so.  So, I brought out an independent contractor who didn't perform any kind of line clearing or repair work.  This man was a plumber for over 30 years who is now retired and all he does is drain line inspections.  He came out and ran a high resolution camera that was a lot larger in physical size that what Sunshine used.  This Technician spent about two hours running his camera up and down our drain line looking for issues. Whenever his camera would get the slightest tilt, he would correct it so the view was always right side up, easy to see and understand.   He found no problems or concerns with our drain.  I was absolutely dumbfounded and honestly didn't believe him.  When I told him the Sunshine camera was underwater, he explained the Sunshine Technician likely used a much smaller camera to seem like there was more water.  This independent Technician asked if I had been given a recording or photos from Sunshine.  I was not.  However, this guy gave me a full length video of the entire inspection and practically begged me not to spend another cent on our drain.  It's been well over a month and I've never received my refund for the Sunshine club membership.

Another successful service from Sunshine. Did not know that water heaters needs to be drained yearly to prevent build up of chemicals. The hot water we use to take showers and cook food is now cleaner. Order a Plumbing Inspection now which includes a water heater flush because I bet most homeowners don't have a clue on what's in their waters.

Technician Rocky L. was very knowlegeable and I recommend him for plumbing problems.

Sunshine was awesome!  We woke up to a nasty mess in our laundry room thanks to a plumbing problem in our upstairs bathroom.  Rocky was here less than 2 hours after we called for help.  Problem solved in less than 1.5 hours.  Very courteous, professional, and knowledgeable - and he even had treats for our dog.  :-)  Will definitely be using them for our plumbing and HVAC work again, just hopefully not under the same circumstances.

I had to have some wet ceiling sections removed after the flood that hit Boulder so hard.  This was to search for the causes of leaks and odors.  After noticing that a ceiling section was still getting wet even after I caulked a chimney cap and replaced some roof tiles, I decided to 'have a plumbing inspection.  Found Sunshine Plumbing's A+'s on Angie's list and at BBB.org so scheduled an appointment.  Garrett came out today and melted my anxiety away with his nice mix of professionalism and relaxed attitude.  A pleasantly surprising and refreshing change occurred in my attitude toward plumbers after spending an hour with Garrett.  As green as I am about plumbing, he could easily have pulled wool over my eyes.  Instead not only was there was no charge for his inspection or consultation, but he didn't agree that I needed a sump pump to go with my sump pits. He pointed out where some additional grout and caulk would help and said to call him if that didn't take care of it.  How often does that happen?  As my house ages, I'm sure I'll need a plumber at some point.  As long as Garrett stays with Sunshine Plumbing, that's the plumber I'll call.  He has it all:  expertise, focus, kind and never condescending attitude, and most important, INTEGRITY.

I had Sunshine Plumbing Heating Air out to address several items.  William was running a bit late, but I received a call telling me that and offering to reschedule if the later time wasn't convenient.  When he arrived, he was very polite and professional.  I gave him the scope of things and he gave me pricing on all the work I wanted done.  Some of it was a bit more than I planned, so I pushed it off (preventative maintenance), but the work he did complete was excellent.  He found a few things wrong with my AC system that he corrected and everything seems to be working great now.  Would definitely recommend and use in the future.

We had waited over a week to get our AC fixed by another company we had made an appointment with.  When the appointment time came and went, we called the company and they had neglected to schedule the appointment although they had a record of our call.  This was at the beginning of the summer and it had been almost 90 degrees every day for almost a week so we were desperate.  We called Sunshine and they worked us in that afternoon.  William was very professional and friendly, walked us through everything he did before he did it, was quick, and didn't try to sell us anything we didn't need - which was refreshing.  He got our air conditioner working and we would definitively use them again.

I called Sunshine because my furnace was making an odd sound.  In fear that it might stop working I called to have it looked at.  Jared was the service guy that came out to take a look.  He explained to me that it could be one of two parts that could be going bad. Both parts were $500-$600.  He couldn't tell what one it was without actually hearing the noise, kind of like when you have car trouble and it's making odd noises.  He suggested that I record it with my phone the next time it acts up.  
Even though he wasn't able to fix my furnace I appreciated the tips he gave me for keeping my house warm in the winter and cool in the summer.  My furnace hasn't made any more noises since so fingers crossed it won't go out.
Last week I called them to come fix my leaking sink and bathroom faucets. Clayton was the guy for that job.  He came out and looked at the bathroom since, that decided to fix itself and wasn't leaking anymore.  He did give me a quote if it starts leaking again.
After looking at the kitchen sink he gave me a quote to have it repaired and got right to taking it apart to see what parts were needed.  He went right to work and had it fixed in no time.  He was great!
I would recommend Sunshine for heating, cooling, and plumbing issues.  
I do wish I would have purchased a Yelp deal prior to having these fixed.

Fair price.  Seems like quality work.  Very slow service and poor communication.  It took a month to complete a simple AC installation.  They missed one appointment altogether with no phone call to let me know.  They were three hours late to the next.

They seemed so nice and on top of things at first.  

Unfortunately, their technician, Jared, showed up right at the last minute of the two-hour window.  Then, after a look at my leaking roof-top evaporative cooler he didn't have an estimate for me.  He said he'd get back to me the next afternooon.  That afternoon has come and gone.  Still, I haven't heard from him.

I tried sending the technician an e-mail using the address on his business card, but apparently that e-mail address is not current and bounced back as undeliverable.

I was able to leave a message with their after-hours answering service.  So, hopefully I can get a response by tomorrow. In the meantime, I have a different company swinging by tomorrow for another estimate.

They do get a second star from me because Jared politely waived the $39 estimate for not giving me the agreed to 30-minute heads-up call. So that was nice.

I used Sunshine for servicing a water heater, Gabe came on time, he used plastic covers for his shoes, he was very polite and friendly! Gabe flushed the water heater, adjusted the temperature and the water pressure for the whole house in Avery timely manner and the price was very reasonable too!

William and his team did a great job installing our new HVAC system. They worked with us on selecting the best options to meet our needs and didn't try to oversell. William was always prompt and he and his team would clean up each day when they were done. We had one or two service calls after install and William or another technician would be here within 24 hours to help out. Couldn't recommend them more!

Absolutely floored by this service. Not only did they come out and fix the issue within 3 hours of contact, they were professional, friendly and patiently taught me some ins and outs for our disposal that I needed to know without making me feel stupid. Looks like we've found our go-to in Aurora if we ever have anything break again!

In contrast, we hired another service initially that set up a 7 am appointment, didn't show, didn't answer their phone, and didn't apologize or make any attempt at remedying their no-show.

I have used Sunshine for plumbing and they have been brilliant! Today I used to install a new heater. The reason I did this in the summer is that William showed me that I could turn my wall unit AC into a unit that would flow through my condo. My heater was not doing well and I wanted to get it taken care of before winter. Sunshine showed up early, worked hard, cleaned up and were extremely polite and did the work for an excellent price. I nicknamed William the toilet whisperer for his excellence in plumbing, but now will add the nickname heating and ac gurus to him and his team. He has repaired problems that no company previously has fixed properly and at a better price. In my experience, they are the best.

I would definitely recommend their services.  Their prices were reasonable and they were very professional.  Great company!

Sunshine Plumbing, Heating & Air have completed two projects in my house now.  First, a plumbing debacle resolved quickly and efficiently. Then, the most recent time they came out to diagnose and ultimately replace the furnace that stopped working.  They are always friendly on the phone and the technicians are professional.  Lorenzo and the other technician (so sorry I do not remember your name) did a great job with diagnosing the problem and explaining it to me.  They then went above and beyond to make sure things were set up properly despite a very challenging environment and cold temperatures.  Both were personable and friendly and completed the work without any issues.

I will not hesitate to call them for any future projects and will definitely recommend them to friends.

This company just cost me $4k from the shoddy work that they did when they installed a new furnace about 6 years ago.  The furnace has been steadily degrading in performance since it was installed and it turns out that they sold me a furnace that was significantly too large for the house (yea, so they could make more money).  I now have to replace the furnace with one that is the right size for the house.  This company is despicable.  Take your money and your business elsewhere.  Also, stay away from their  club nonsense - it is a complete scam.

Justin G from Sunshine came to my home today to install a kitchen faucet and to address a couple of other plumbing issues.  

Justin was great! He called about 20 minutes before he arrived to be certain the timing was convenient and he arrived right on time.  

I have not had any previous experience with plumbing issues so I had quite a few questions regarding the plumbing in my town home and Justin answered all of them expertly.  

Justin was fast, efficient, friendly and professional.  You really can't ask for better customer service than what Justin provided.  Knowledgeable, courteous and personable.  

I will definitely use Sunshine for any future plumbing issues and I will ask for Justin G. specifically.

I rent a condo and my landlord had Sunshine come our for a routine water heater/furnace inspection.  While William Frew was out here I had him look at the handle on my toilet that was apparently broken.  When he called my landlord to tell her about all of the issues he found, including that I needed a new handle, she would not authorize any work to be done yet.  She had to talk it over with her husband first.  I really needed an new toilet handle so I could flush my toilet, and William went out to the local hardware store and purchased one for me and installed it free of charge!  Now that is what I call service.  I will forever use this company and recommend them to all my friends.  Thank you William for going that extra mile for a  stranger and making me feel so grateful. Lucas did a great job today. I purchased a coupon for my furnace several months ago based on good reviews. Because I had no prior experience with the company, I did not want to risk being without heat during the worst part of winter. So I waited and almost forgot I had the coupon -- two weeks before expiration date.

Lucas arrived an hour early, calling beforehand. He explained what he was doing, what he was testing, and why as he went along. Told me the function and importance of the various parts of the furnace. He told me the things most likely to go wrong. He showed me how to do a simple, minor repair myself -- something that could prolong the life of the furnace and at the same time avoid an unnecessary service call.

Lucas is very thorough. He makes a good teacher.

I called sunshine to get my heating unit fixed in one of my commercial buildings. They were really polite and had scheduled me for 3-5pm. I wxplained to then that the roof had no access and they needed a ladder to get to the roof, it was a one story building so nothing to high. When the technician arrived he stayed in his vehicle for about 30 min. When I approached him he said he didn't have a ladder and left. My business has to go through another day of this blistering cold because of the unprofessionalism of the technician/company.

In preparation for the cold season, I contacted Sunshine to have my furnace inspected and tuned.

The arrival window was between 1 - 3 pm. With these types of service calls, I'm always used to having someone arrive at the tail end of the window. The HVAC tech, Hank, rang my doorbell 20 minutes before 1:00. (Of course, he called prior to arriving and I simultaneously received both text and email notifications.)

He was courteous, professional, thorough and friendly. Really not much more to be said: my experience with Hank and Sunshine Plumbing, Heating & Air was a 110% smooth and pleasurable experience.

I wouldn't hesitate for a second to refer this company to anyone in need of plumbing, heating and air services.

I had a great experience with Sunshine! They were able to dispatch someone to my home for a same-day AC service. Manny called to let me know he was actually ahead of schedule, which was awesome! I asked him to text me when he arrived so I could I put my dogs in the backyard because they like to bark, and Manny happily texted to say he was outside. Manny diagnosed the problem within minutes of looking at the humidifier and was able to fix everything. Manny, as well as the office staff who answered my call, were friendly and professional. I also appreciate that they are as paperless as possible! I highly recommend calling Sunshine for repair help.

My experience with Sunshine was absolutely the best! My technician for the day, Emmanuel/Manny arrived early within the four hour window that was scheduled.  He remembered that he had been here a year earlier and that my furnace was in a crawlspace, Which posed no problem for him. He was friendly and  professional throughout the experience. When he finished he advised me of what he had done and charged me the price agreed-upon. When I asked if he had been able to replace the insulation over the opening into the crawlspace he told me he had. But he offered to show me what he had done. We both went to look and upon inspection it was perfect. I told Manny that it was so nice to have someone I was familiar with return, and that I was pleased he was still working for Sunshine.  He shared that he was treated well and enjoyed working with them.  I couldn't have had any better experience and so I highly recommend sunshine!

This company has not been hired by our HOA yet, but I hope they are!!  In just doing a bid, they were here twice, and brought additional personal to inspect our situation and become familiar with our property.  All orchestrated by a star employee, William.  He is balls to the wall dedicated and will go the extra mile even though he doesn't have the job yet!! What?? I am not kidding.  This guy will get it done and do everything in his power to get it done, correctly!!  I will wright another review when I work with them, but I have never had this much service in getting a bid from a company.   Ask for William!! I am calling his boss on the morning to let her/him know how great he is.

Does not deserve even a one star rating. I was scheduled for a 3-5pm appointment. I called at 2:30 to confirm the appointment and was told the owner was stuck on a job and it would be closer to 4pm, but he would call when he was on his way. Ok - no big deal. i called back at 4:30 and was told that I was still scheduled. I call back again at 5:30 and 6:30. Same song and dance = you are still scheduled and Will should be calling you. Bottom line, no one called and no one showed up. My advice is NEVER use this company.

This review is two fold- part lovely, part nightmare.

Our plumber, Justin was lovely and easy to work with. He did great work and was very nice.
However, the scheduling of Sunshine was a NIGHTMARE. We got cancelled on twice because they forgot the plumber wasn't working that day. I get that this happens once in a while but a call an hour before they're supposed to be there, after we've rearranged our schedules, is not ok. Especially when it happens twice. It then would take over a week to reschedule. Will never use them again! When they finally did show up it was over and hour early so I once again had to rush home.

Love, love, love this company. Communication is terrific. Lorenzo showed up right on time both days and worked efficiently. No mess was left and the new humidifier looks great. They had to install a new outlet which I thought would be difficult but they made look easy. Would not hesitate to hire this company in the future.

Decided to use these guys for an AC repair. Set an appointment for 1-3pm. I was told I would be contacted by the tech with an update. I sat waiting until 2:55 and no call, so I call the office. Took 3 tries to get a person on the phone. She calls the tech and calls me back telling me it will be another hour before the tech can come by. I wasn't contacted to tell me the tech was going to be an hour late AFTER having a 2 hour window. I would not have had an issue if the tech had called earlier to tell me he was going to be late (would have rescheduled). But the fact that I had to call them, and had to call multiple times, to find this out is not good business. Not reliable, not recommended.

I had a great experience w sunshine a few years ago and thought I would try them again. BIG mistake. Lots to say about the incompetent but polite text service and booking system, which I now believe was the universe trying unsuccessfully to save me from them. Main complaint is that they will not give any estimates ahead other than a $59 service call. I would accept if diagnostics were involved but my repairs were self explanatory.  According to the technician, they have a price list with no flexibility, which seems like something that would translate to advanced quotes, but no. So installing a new faucet took 12 minutes and was $450. (And I am unconvinced it was sealed at all correctly.) A toilet that needed a $3 gasket was $400. The brand new technician spent 30+ minutes in his van (no idea why) and promised to follow up with information he requested from Toto but never did. I had heard the owner speak at a women's business event and like to support local companies but not mercenaries. And no longer this one.

Woke up this morning to a leak in our bathroom ceiling. Our upstairs bathroom is directly above this bathroom. After calling several companies Sunshine was the only one that could make it same day. This was essential because we had to shut off the water to the house to get the leak to stop....awwwwww! We were treated like a top priority as we had no usable water, we greatly appreciated this. We received email confirmation of our requested service and a picture of who was coming to our home, nice as we have small children-I always think twice before opting the door.

Rocky Lucero called when he was heading our way and made it here in the time he allotted-says a lot about the company! Rocky is knowledgeable, professional and did not try to up sell or fix thing that were not essential in our 1957 home that can use some updating. We were given a written quote via his iPad and felt the charges were fair. The $29 trip fee was rolled over toward the repair cost. He fixed what was needed in a timely and professional manner and took the extra time to explain the repairs as he went and he also cleaned up after himself.

They will RIB YOUR SHIRT OFF!.  Even Doctors might not make as much as them with more years of training.

Being a landlord for many years, I have more experience than I care to know with contractors and repair companies.  

Even though my furnace went out on Christmas Eve, I knew that it would be extremely costly to have someone come by that day and that is the one day that everyone should be with their family.  

So when I finally waited to the day after the Christmas, I had anticipated a much more reasonable repair bill.   The technician Gino was courteous and showed up on time but that was about the only decent thing about the experience.  Within 10 minutes, he was able to tell me the issue was a damaged starter.   When a job is done,  you are expected to pay but I had no idea that he proceeded to quote me a repair bill of $350 just to switch out a furnace part on a normal business day.   He is not willing to bulge one cent even though I told him that I am landlord and I will have future jobs for him.   The only thing he had to offer was a membership which will have cost me another $265.  So if the technician is not willing to offer any discount based on loyalty, what makes them I will refer anyone to them for outrageous costs?  So on top of the outrageous $400, I can pay a total of $800 for a simple job.   I think if I had my appendix taken out, it might be cheaper.

As I expected he was able to complete the job in less than 40 minutes which makes me think it cannot be that difficult.  I will keep an mental note that HVAC technicians at Sunshine charge $300 per hour.

I made a grave mistake by calling them and I will make sure that this will never happen again for my rentals and my friends.

If you are into paying outrageous prices, please give them a call.  There are plenty of other honest and reasonable HVAC companies I would rather turn to.

My experience with Sunshine today was wonderful! They communicated the time frame of when the tech would be at my house by phone AND email, the tech (Dylan) called when he was 30 mins out, and arrived right when he said. With covid going on he was prepared with a mask and booties to cover his shoes. He did the work of clearing a blocked pipe quickly, was pleasant, and even won over our dogs who can be a bit picky.
The entire experience was efficient, friendly, and a huge relief!

Rocky the plumber was very professional, courteous, and straightforward throughout the process. Hard to be scientific about price, but the charge to swap out a leaking water heater with a new one - even with an Angie's list special - seemed to be a cut above what you'd pay a place like home depot. That said, you get what you pay for probably applies here as the service that they provided was top notch.

The critical question to ask when hiring a heating and cooling company is:

What do they do if things go wrong?

Unfortunately, the experience you may have with Sunshine Heating and Cooling if something goes wrong, may cost you more time money and frustration than you bargained for.

And that is understandable if you talk to the owner about a problem.

Here's the story:

After an AC install over the summer, the hot water stopped working.

They were called back to fix it and one of their technicians, Dmitri, promised all was well.

Unfortunately, this was just the beginning of their incompetence.

Of course it's understandable that companies mess things up. We're all human.

However, when a company does not make good on their mess ups, it shows the real quality of their leadership and becomes a caution for you as a consumer. In the 90% of situations where all goes well, there is no problem.

But what if something goes wrong? Can you trust them to fix it?

Not Sunshine Heating and Cooling. And if you ever have the misfortune of speaking to their owner, you understand why.

After the repair to make the hot water work, they ensured me that it was fixed. Once the weather turned cold however, it was clear we had a bigger problem.

When I turned the heat on, it only blew out cold air. When I called to have them come back out, they botched and missed the appointment.

Once again, upon calling them, they informed me they were too busy to get to me. Even though it was their screw up.

Informing them that the temperature would be 30 degrees that night did not prompt them to action.

They sent out another technician, Gino, who was very kind and helpful, but he was unable to fix it because it was not his area of expertise.

Once again, the problem was unresolved.

Calling the office, Trevor answered and though he apologized profusely, he offered no solutions.  

Instead he asked if I would like to speak to the owner.

And then it all made sense.

You know those situations when you're a consumer and the company who is supposed to provide service to you totally flakes and leaves you scrambling to find another solution at the last moment?

That's what this was like.

Rather than getting on the phone and taking responsibility for her company's poor work, and offering to fix it, Susan (the owner) rattled off excuse after excuse and told me it was my fault because I had abused her employees. How you can abuse a grown man who is fixing your heater is beyond me, but that was her claim.

Then, upon telling her the forecast was calling for snow tonight and that I demanded that they come out to fix the problem they caused, she told me I was now placed on her Do Not Service list.

Lesson? If you're looking for a company to stand behind its work, go elsewhere.

The hassle and frustration of dealing with a company that is unwilling to fix the lack of heat they caused is an unnecessary burden for you when you want to have your heating or air conditioning repaired.

***This review was originally posted on November 10 at 5:00 pm. However, the owner threatened to leave the problem broken if the review was not taken down.  Though I understand her embarrassment, it does reflect poor quality of character to make such threats to someone in such a vulnerable position.

If the owner of the company would call to apologize I would happily remove this review. If you're still reading it, you know she has been unwilling to do that.

Sunshine Was awesome to work with from setting the appointment to the end. William came to our house to certify our furnace for the sale of our house. While he was there for the service call he also did some repair work on he water heater. He took great care in his work, he was very professional. He call when he was on his way and arrived just when he said he would be there. This is a great company to work with. I highly recommend them.

This place is HORRIBLE DO NOT use them if you need something done. I called 5 time to make SURE they could fix a leaky shower for me, was told each time they could and would be there and i would get a call back...never did i get a call back OR Did a tech show up as promised.

I did get an offer of reimbursement but since I left a bad review that was off the table. So unfortunately I won't be doing any false advertising for them.

Called this company to come out for maintenance of shampoo bowls (2) at my salon. They ended up charging double what was quoted which we paid no questions asked, and also cracked and damaged one of the bowls. Needs replacement at the tune of $1400 not including installation cost. Had their insurance company investigate damages they caused and claim was denied as well as company has not reimbursed. Will have to file a small claim if I want to hold them liable. Very disheartening.

I needed several plumbing type things done at my house but didn't know a good plumber in the  area.  My girlfriend was looking around Angie's List and saw a special Sunshine Solar & Mechanical was running.  She did some research and saw several great reviews about them, so we took a chance and booked some time the next week.

William, the owner/operator showed up right on time at 8am, always a good sign.  We had purchased the parts we thought we needed and he went through them and the list of things we wanted done.   William is the consumate professional, he explained his rates and that he would only bill for time that he was working.  After agreeing to the order to do things he pulled out his phone and timed in using an app.  Anytime he had to take a call or go to his truck he timed himself out.  He also was more than happy to let us look over his shoulder and see what he was doing, and tell us what the problem was before he fixed it.  

Our list included changing out a sink, 3 faucets, all hardware in a bath/shower, all hardware in a shower to fix a drip, tightening a toilet to the floor, and flushing out the hot water tank.  He was able to do everything that morning except the shower, only because it has some old, weird parts.   He found a place for me to go and buy the stems, seats, and faucet handles and said he'd come back when I got them.  A couple weeks later I had the parts and he stopped buy and installed them - at no charge!  He said it was still part of the first job and he was just finishing it up.  Wow!  Over the top customer service used to be the norm in the world, not so much now.  

Working with William was a real breath of fresh air.  No trip charge, no parts markup, no BS.  Just great service by a true professional.  

Also, while he started out in Breck he's now working in the Denver area.  I strongly recommend Sunshine Solar for your next plumbing situation.

Justin G. came out to give an estimate for some plumbing work I am considering.  It's a pretty time consuming job and Justin was great at walking me through exactly what the job would take to get done, how much it would cost, and where I could save money by doing some work myself.  I'm still getting quotes for the work but Justin was great at giving me a detailed estimate for the work I want performed.
Update: Sunshine Hearing and Plumbing's quote was one of the highest quotes I received for the work I needed done.  Advice: shop around.

Sunshine replaced our furnace, AC, and water heaters ~5 years ago. It was a disaster, the guy who did it ended up getting fired, but they did right by us and fixed everything at cost. We found out ~3 years later our humidifier was still not hooked up properly, so they fixed that and gave us 3 years of their premium membership. After all that I  still would have given them 5 stars and recommended them because who actually stands by their work like that?

However, their prices have gone up an absurd amount since then. My sister got a quote from them 3x of a competitor and I just had the same to clean our furnaces. I found another company to do it who did a great job instead.

TLDR; over priced, and the work may not be right the first time, but at least they seem to stand by fixing it. I'd still go elsewhere.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!  This whole experience with them replacing the supply lines on my hot water heater has been a NIGHTMARE.   The work was done on Monday for $800.  That's astronomical, and guess what when they left after telling my nanny that he was having trouble with the pilot light - the pilot light wasn't on.  
They came back that night saying they couldn't get the parts and I would need to purchase a new water heater and the parts wouldn't fix it and I would need to get a new water heater at a discount.   They quoted me $2,740.65!  This is now three days later with my two children and I not showering and boiling water to do the dishes and AMAZINGLY when I said I am not buying a new water heater they need to fix what they broke, they discover my water heater is under a 12 year warranty!  The second technician who came out told me my water heater was from 1999.  Totally false and wrong, it's only 7 years old and most water heaters last at least 10 to 12 years.   Oh and it gets better.  They will come drain my water heater and take it to Lowes but not for 2 more days!!!!   So now I am paying Lowes an additional $655 to deliver it and install it today.   This company is a SCAM!!!!!  They say they offer 100% guarantee, and I 100% guarantee they will scam you too.   RUN DON'T WALK AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!

Best plumbing outfit in Denver metro area. I've hired Sunshine now approx 4 times for various plumbing/heating projects. I continue to be blown away with them, their staff, their processes, professionalism, you name it. This last time I had to call and thank them the service tech was so good. I run a local homeless shelter and we recently had some a situation with broken pipes.  Sunshine Plumbing understood that this was an emergency and sent assistance out to us quickly!  Furthermore, they did excellent work and were great to interact with.  Hopefully we won't need this type of assistance again anytime soon, but if we do, we will definitely call Sunshine Plumbing

I had high hopes given their high reviews, but their communication was so poor we couldn't get a complete estimate despite repeated requests even 12 days after their visit. The partial estimate we did receive was way too high to consider when asked to include other more cost effective options and the other work we discussed in the original visit, no response.

Anytime we have an issue with the house, we call Sunshine. Since our house is reaching the time when everything seems to be failing, we call them often.  This time we had some issues with our plumbing and they sent Rocky L. He was very pleasant to work with and very informative and went beyond his job to give us suggestions of what we should do to avoid problems in the future.  He also suggested we get a Halo 5 system because our residential water is so bad (Commerce City water) and we could have avoided a lot of these issues that we are having.  No other plumber told us about this.  He thoroughly explained the system to me, shared a video and was very patient in answering all my questions and was no pressure at all.  We are actually going to get it installed by him in a few weeks!  I highly recommend that you ask for Rocky, he's by far the best plumber that I've ever dealt with.

The customer service has become a real problem. I'm done as a customer. I've been using them every year for 4 years for my HVAC maintenance and had been very happy, at a home we now rent out. I couldn't get my usual plumber there to blade the drain so I though I'd give Sunshine a try. What a mistake, they've cost me 4 more days and still no work was done. Dani the first CS rep I talked to made the appointment and told me the cost, all was good. I don't know if she took some notes down wrong or if the issue was their technician getting confused or what, but they came yesterday and didn't do anything because they though they needed to call me to re-approve the $99 cost. I'm busy and didn't get their VM till 2.5 hrs later. So then Kristie the Lead Dispatch reset a new appointment and argued with me about what I had communicated to Dani a few days earlier. Not a good start... The tech went back and again didn't do any work because they wanted me to approve the $99 cost, plus $75 to remove/reinstall the toilet, which wasn't necessary because there is an access for the main sewer line. Again I was in meetings, so I called to talk to them 1 hour later this time. Amber has absolutely terrible customer service skills. She told me that I should have answered my phone (her tone was very condescending). I was interviewing a candidate for a job - so no, I was not taking calls. Out of my frustration with Amber and my experience, I gave her some unsolicited CS advice. She said, I don't need your customer service tips and hung up on me. With the business I own, we refer vendors all the time to our clients. So, it's hard to say how much business this lost them - not that they seem to care.

Let me preface this review by stating that Sunshine Plumbing did not win a contract with me with their bid. This review is based on the estimator alone.

I had signed up for a replacement air conditioner estimate on Sunshine's website. They called me within minutes and had me scheduled for an estimate on my preferred date and time. The morning of the estimate, I received an email with a photo of the estimator, and a call directly from him letting me know his ETA. When he was late (stuck in traffic) he gave me another call with a more accurate time frame. He came over and was very thorough in his inspection he looked at the existing A/C equipment and verified the information that was needed to provide a quote. He told me he would have a quote ready within the day and then was on his way. He surprised me about 20 minutes later when he came back to the house with a printed estimate for the replacement system.

Ultimately I did not choose to go with Sunshine primarily due to the price. The quote was $2000 higher than the next quote, and it was about 80% labor. It was a lot of money for two guys to work for about 4 hours. They also offered a lower price if I signed up for an annual service contract. This kind of seems to be a little scammy from what I could tell. Sure it is servicing and maintaining the warranty on the equipment, but the price they would have locked me in wouldn't have been worthwhile at all. Still this company gets 4 stars due to a good customer service attitude, their pricing is just a little too high for what they provide.

While the specialty of our service (replacement of a 90yr old steam pipe in a crawl space) raised the prices quite a bit, I think sunshine plumbing might be some of the best customer service I've ever received. They are a bit more expensive when running price comparisons, but I genuinely believe that it was worth the difference to go with Sunshine. They guarantee their work for two years, took every step to not damage or dirty up my home, and our plumber Frank was great. He was an intelligent, kind, and honest human being who my husband trusted enough to randomly disappear throughout the day and leave me alone with. Thankfully, I did not ever have to worry about any creeper vibes from our plumber, so I did not mind (though my husband would have been in a world of trouble, if I did mind). Anyways - I would recommend Frank S and Sunshine plumbing to anyone in need of some home repair (especially if you have an old home and steam heat). Also, the way they answer the phone will warm your heart!

I have nothing but praise for the folks at Sunshine Plumbing. To make a long story short, another plumbing company botched a repair, leaving me with a badly damaged shower that required we turn off the water to the house. That company charged me $700.00 for trashing my plumbing, and would only offer me a discount if I paid them to come back and fix what they broke. Instead, I called Sunshine Plumbing.

Sunshine sent a plumber by the name of Brett. Brett was polite, professional, and knew exactly what needed to be done. He explained what he was going to do, fixed the problem in a couple of hours, and carefully cleaned after himself (and after the company that had previously screwed things up). He also provided suggestions that helped minimize the cost of the job. The price was very reasonable, the work looks great, and I have water again. This was my second experience with Sunshine and the first one was also positive. Sunshine is now my go-to company for all things plumbing-related.

Beware!!!! Services are overpriced!!!!!!!! Their labor came in at over $350/hr!!!

I've used Sunshine Home Services five times over the past few years (toilet issue, furnace & A/C tune, water heater tune) and have been mostly pleased. However, this past time was a total nightmare. I needed a foot of PVC piping reconfigured underneath my sink before a new dishwasher could be installed. Sunshine didn't hit their arrival window (they did notify us that morning of the delay).  When their tech did arrive, he drove past our house and parked a few houses down. He sat in his van for an hour and twenty minutes. He then came in and looked at what we needed, left to get materials, and then did the installation. His shopping for parts and the installation took less than 2-hours. The bill came in at $769 for maybe $20 worth of material and less than 2-hours of labor!!!!!!!
After a few calls to Sunshine, I was finally able to speak with their VP of operations. He explained to me they have profit margins, overhead, etc....
I'm a small business owner so trust me I get it, but this was a ridiculous example of price gouging. He also mentioned that we pre-approved the work and estimated cost (this is true, my wife did approve it). If Sunshine was a customer-focused business I think they would have listened to our concerns and been open to discussing their pricing after the fact. Ultimately, I think we were charged a flat rate that didn't apply to the actual work being done and for the time that their tech sat in his van. Lastly, I reminded the VP of our loyalty and the value of repeat and happy customers. He was unmoved. They were obviously happy to take advantage of us and lose a loyal customer.

Original quote was $460.  Brian pulled a fast one on us and charged my wife over $900 after service was complete (while I was not home).  No phone call to justify the price increase.  In addition, the upstairs bathroom faucet repair was not completed, however we were charged anyway.  Strongly recommend you look elsewhere for plumbing service in this area.

My shower control lever thingey died on me and I was having to wrestle it to turn the water off.  I had looked up plumbers on Angie's List for a previous issue and Sunshine Plumbing Heating Air was highly reviewed so I called them for help first thing that morning.  They were so courteous and friendly on the phone, and they scheduled Clayton to come to my home that afternoon between 3 and 5.  I was expecting the old cable guy service responsiveness and was prepared to see him show up at 5:30, but he called just before 3:00 to say he was on his way!  He was so polite and friendly when he arrived, and he put booties on his shoes before he stepped into my home (protecting my wooden floors from whatever he'd been walking around in before).  

He quickly assessed the situation with my shower valve (it needed a new cartridge), created an estimate on his tablet, and got busy fixing it immediately.  He had to go to a plumbing supply store to get the correct cartridge, and he called me from the store to let me know he was on his way back.  I appreciated being kept informed of his progress as he worked - it drives me nuts when a contractor disappears in the middle of a job and never tells me when they might be back to finish it so I can't make any plans.  

During all this plumbing work, my cell phone fritzed out as well (it was a bad mojo day for me, apparently) and I needed to run to the phone store to get it fixed.  I had written notes to my condo neighbors explaining why the main water line was temporarily turned off, and I intended to put them on their doors when I left for the phone store but being somewhat frazzled, I forgot.  Well, Clayton saw that and HE put the notes on their doors as he left to get the new cartridge.

He finished the job in a timely manner and explained some of the issues to me with the repair.  I was just very impressed with his professionalism, courtesy, friendliness, and thoroughness, and highly recommend Sunshine Plumbing Heating Air if you're ever in need of a good plumber.

What a relief!
As a new homeowner, there are people you need to have in your back pocket. Folks you trust and can call to help you out when things start leaking or breaking or making noises you don't really understand. We've found that in Sunshine, and in our very patient and helpful service tech, Casey. Casey was friendly and full of good tips, and he went out of his way to explain and resolve our plumbing issues (even trimming and rerouting a pipe to our previously leaky P-Trap at no charge - who does that?!). He explained all the potential outcomes on our shower issue and worked his plumbing magic so well that we avoided the costly route and were about to do the quick and easy (but thorough!) instead. I'm grateful to have found this company and have a place we can trust to call on when house stuff goes awry. Thanks Casey and Sunshine!

I just had my water heater replaced today. The plumber; Rocky contacted me an hour before he was scheduled to show up. He was prompt, wore bootie covers in the house and was very professional. The replacement and installation of the water heater took 4 plus hours, the installation was done very professionally, Rocky provided a quote and he removed the old water heater, helped clean up the standing water and replaced a broken pipe from the winter. All told I would highly recommend them for any future work I would need.

My initial email to the owner included everything I was needing along with key codes and where the crawlspace was located. I also sent a copy of the contract I had stating exactly what the buyers of my house were expecting to be done.

I then had to call and follow up after a few days with no response. I would've stopped here but I had purchased a voucher for them.

The owner did not tell the office anything who in turn did not tell their staff anything-I really tried to make it easy for them.

I probably called them about 6 times to keep everyone on task having to start from scratch each time explaining myself. The days the work was being done I talked to the tech a few times before he even started because they seemingly had no clue what they were being sent to do and didn't know how to get in. The estimate I ended up with couldn't be used because they didn't include all of the items I needed to cover. The price for the work they did do seemed a bit steep

Short story- working with them is like trying to herd cats. If you love repeating yourself as nauseum, call these guys.

*Update* I had to be the biggest asshole to just finally get a response and get things fast tracked to being settled. Susan- the owner/ was kid enough to reach out to me to get this handled by tomorrow. I will update this as the process goes. I just want this fixed so it can be done.
The ball has been severely dropped for us throughout the entire experience on this.
I would've sad the original experience of this was a it can happen thing but this is beyond overboard.

Back in June- out ac completely died. We had sunshine come out and decided to install a new ac and heating unit in our home- which was quite expensive.

The process took about two weeks from start of the project.
They were kind enough to let us use a portable ac unit in one of our rooms to help with the heat. They came and started their install. However- there was issues since they didn't have a correct parts they needed. After the workers left the day of the install, I never heard anything else. I wasn't informed when the part would come in, when they would return to finish the work or what the plan was.
Three days later- a worker came unannounced to my door to finish the install. That would have been excellent if they called and communicated with me when they would return. U fortunately- I wasn't even at home. The worker informed me that the office told hi to just show up at our house and not worry about us knowing if they were coming or not.
The workers waiting in front of my house for two hours until I returned home.

After it was installed- I asked about filters for the house and if they could kindly put one back in for me since I am short. The worker informed me falsely that I don't need a filter at all. He also told me that their owner would come for an inspection appointment to make sure everything is installed correctly and quality work was done.
I again never heard anything at all. But they were very prompt in calling me to pay the bill. So when I finally heard something- I inquired of when this inspection would happen so that way I know everything is installed safely and I am allowed to use our new AC unit.  Another few days go by and the owner finally comes.

He had zero interest in talking to me. I informed him about how the entire process was beyond u professional- how they have POOR communication- but I was also fair in letting him know that it's not the workers faults. They were polite, kind, and answered questions. How they run their business is awful!! He seemed flustered and offered a year of filters to make up for the Inconvience which was kind.

However it is NOW almost September and almost THREE months since having this install and we are STILL calling them to try and get our rebate sotuated. We keep getting a run around.
We decided to go with them because they were suppose to give us a manufacturer rebate of $2k. My husband calls and leaves messages almost every day and they are ignoring us- so now I feel compelled to write a review on social media and warn people.

While their employees are awesome and do excellent  work- don't count on the business for excellent communication and honesty. I WILL continue to keep calling until we receive our rebate. But from here on out- it's not likely that I will do business with them ever again never have I received a run around in an experience like this!

Tough review to write.  The service was excellent, and the guy who came was super nice, but the price to clear the drain in one tub was VERY high (I think about $160), so I just can't give it five stars.  They were on time and the dispatch woman was super nice, so they have a lot going for them, I just was not satisfied with the price (I was pretty sure I was going to get the other tub cleared too with my $200 yelp deal).

Terrible scheduling. Although Jared was nice throughout the process, we ended up getting the run around. We were supposed to have a new evap cooler installed after ours broke,  took time off work, and waited.  And waited.  One excuse after another ended up turning into an offer to get something temporary set up late in the evening. Thanks to this mess we are days behind in finding another company to do the job. We are nearing 100 degree temperatures,  have an infant, dogs,  and cats. Not acceptable. Do not recommend.

Hired sunshine for a basic furnace replacement. I had a complication with my furnace install due to the crawlspace entrance being too small. Although there was some miscommunication at first, sunshine really pulled through. The owner of the business showed up at my door to make things right.

They removed the concrete, swapped out my furnace, upgraded my thermostat and replaced the concrete. The owner did most of the work himself and even came at 9pm one night when the furnace wasn't turning on as expected.

Definitely recommend working with Kim and William.

I called Sunshine for an emergency plumbing issue.  We broke an outdoor faucet (...trying to fix it ourselves) and were unable to turn the water back on in the house with the broken faucet.  William came out to help us within a few hours of my call on a Saturday!  William was able to fix the faucet and even installed a new shut-off valve so that we can avoid the faucet freezing in the future.  William was also nice enough to stay longer and fix another unrelated issue that we had with a pipe to the hot water heater.   William was extremely knowledgeable and very polite (he took great care to protect the areas of the house where he was working).  I also thought that the prices that William charged for his services were very reasonable.

I can't say enough good things about Sunshine.  They are honest, professional and pleasant both in person and on the phone.  We will be using them for all of our future plumbing, heating and AC needs.

I went on their website and emailed my info and request and after 2 days never got reply, so I called and the woman who answered was very abrupt and rude and put me on hold without asking. I had an emergency pipe burst and called Sunshine around 9am. They had Garrett out to my house by 9:45! He got it all fixed up within an hour. He explained exactly what was wrong, we discussed options to fix it together, and he told me exactly how he was going to fix it. He even got on the phone and explained it all to my over-worried, out-of-town father!! The price was very fair for the great service I got. Thank you so much Garrett for everything. I will definitely be using Sunshine again and would recommend them to anyone I know!

Dylan showed up on time and did a great job repairing a copper pipe that had sprung a leak resulting from lousy soldering work done by a previous company.   As a result of  work last month by Dylan to install a new sump pump, the leaking pipe did not flood our basement.  We are very grateful for his excellent work both times.

We have been having an issue with one of our two AC units for a few weeks. It would work most days and most evening but if it got too hot and it got behind, it would run but only for a while and then stop completely. It would come back on at some point in the middle of the night and be fine.

I called Sunshine on a Friday (last Friday) and was told that Jared would be coming out on Saturday..perfect! He showed up early after a phone call to make sure that was okay, even better! After looking at the air handler (not the AC..at all) I was told that it could be a transformer or a motherboard. I was also told to replace my filter with cheaper ones so that the unit could get more air. Try this for a few days and they will make another appointment for me for a hotter day so that he could come back to see if the unit would reproduce the issue. After he had left we turned the unit back on to try to cool things off some before it got too far behind. Not only was were we too far behind but now the unit wasn't talking to my AC at all and all it was doing was circulating hotter and hotter air. My bedroom got up to 87 degrees. Not good for sleeping.

I called Sunshine back at 7:30a on Monday and got a message service (I believe) and was told that they would forward the message to dispatch. I called back at 8:30 since I hadn't heard anything, they had not gotten the message. Not only that but the earliest they could send someone was Tuesday. Really?? Not only was the situation worse than before they came out to check it but now we have to wait yet another day and there is still no guarantee that the issue will be resolved.

Is this review premature? Perhaps but as of right now customer satisfaction is not a huge concern from where I'm sitting.

I will edit this review if things work out..or even if they don't.

Great service!

We needed a plumber to fix an outside faucet and Sunshine Plumbing did a fantastic job.  The plumber arrived on time, identified the problem quickly and explained the work in terms we could understand.  He even let my 3 month old puppy help him install the new faucet without complaining.

I highly recommend Sunshine Plumbing and will use them again when needed.

I saw another review of Sunshine Plumbing that related an experience so similar to my own, that I'm going to use that review as a template. I've personalized that review as appropriate, but the fact that I can use another's experience as the basis of my own review indicates this is a recurring issue.

They seemed so nice and on top of things at first.  

We set up an appointment. I took time off to meet with their technician, Jared. He couldn't prepare an estimate on the spot, but said he'd get back to me the next afternooon.  It's been over a month, and I still haven't heard from him.

I tried sending the technician an e-mail using the address on his business card, but that e-mail address is not current and bounced back as undeliverable. I wrote to the President of the company twice, but still no bid has surfaced.

Clearly, as this is not the first time this has happened, Sunshine does not care much for the time of its customers, whether it was taking the time to meet with the technician, or in writing repeat follow-up e-mails. Skip 'em.

Bad service. Overpriced. I wrote this email to the owner in April 2021. He never even bothered to respond.

I am reaching out to let you know that your technician did a snake cleanout and made a repair recommendation that was inappropriate for our situation. We called for an evaluation because our kitchen sink drain was back flowing and flooding under our sink. He snaked the drain and said it was draining better and then recommended that we pay $1K to replumb the entire drain area under the sink. This recommendation seemed wrong to us since this is only a recent problem and we have lived at this house over five years. So when the flooding happened again we called out a different plumber. His recommendation was to run a camera down the line. With the camera we discovered that we have a problem with a lot of grease buildup. Had we gone with your technician's recommendation we would have wasted our money as the grease problem would not have been solved whatsoever. 

We feel as though your company caused us to waste our $280.67 for the snake cleanout because that did not properly address the problem. I have attached the video the second plumber made last week that shows the grease buildup issue.

We had a leak inside our wall that we needed repaired fast.  I called around and Sunshine was the only place that 1) answered the phone and 2) could make it out to our residence the same day.  They gave me a two hour time period and told me they'd call 30 minutes before they arrived.  The office person I spoke with was courteous and helpful.  Casey called me to let me know he was running a few minutes late, but arrived very close to the two hour window.  When he arrived he was very nice and took care to wear booties over his shoes to keep from tracking anything into our home.  He quickly diagnosed the problem and gave us an estimate.  It was fairly reasonable and was able to fix the small leak within 20 minutes after we signed the estimate.  One of the best parts about Sunshine was that for them to come to our house it only cost $29 which was waved if we used them for the repairs.  Most places charge you $50-100 to just come to your house.  We'd definitely use Sunshine again.

I called Sunshine after recently buying a house and realizing the air conditioning was not working properly.  William came out to my house and checked everything within a day.  He found that the air filter needed to be replaced, and my evaporative coils were frozen.  Despite driving out to my house and poking around down in my cellar for 45 minutes, he did not charge for this initial visit, and later called and explained how to resolve both issues free of charge.  

My furnace, however, needed a thorough cleaning, which the inspector neglected to check during our inspection before buying the house.  William came back out a few days later,  cleaned the furnace completely, and checked everything to make sure it was in working order.  He even hooked the fan up to the HVAC system,  unfroze the evaporative coils, and only charged me for the furnace cleaning.  From now on, I'll be calling William for my heating, air, and plumbing issues.  It's nice to find a guy who is honest, hardworking, and on time for his visits.

We called, James came out.  We had a mysterious water leak and had the water main shut off.  They do flat rate pricing.  He said he would have to find the leak.  He did and needed to replace a small piece of pex pipe. I understand that sometimes locating a leak can take time, but all told he was there for 1 hour and 15 mins. and he charged us $481.  We felt they were very expensive for the amount of time spent in our house.  We thought he would adjust the bill because it wasn't hard to find.  I just don't understand why plumbers feel that $380 an hour is reasonable?  The part was maybe $5.  Everyone needs to be a plumber, forget law school. they did a good job, but I can't recommend them because of the price gouging.  Of course we were desperate and I guess they knew that.

I needed someone to come out to look at our hot water heater quickly (at Thanksgiving time, good luck!) and saw that Sunshine had a lot of great reviews. Luckily we were able to get an appointment for the day after Thanksgiving. The lady on the phone was very nice and helpful. (I should also note that I called other places after making an appointment to see if I could get someone to come out earlier. Not only could I not get anything sooner but the other companies were not nearly as friendly on the phone.) Justin G was polite, on time and helped me to understand what the issue was and how he was going to fix it. He told me my options but I never felt like he was trying to get me to spend more money than I needed to. He was very quick with the repair and we have hot water again! I would highly recommend him to anyone. Very impressed with this company!

I needed a licensed plumber to install an Aquasana whole house water filter system and Rocky came out and did a fine job in getting it done.  He was very professional and asked a lot of great questions during the assessment and estimate.  He put it in in less than a day, despite some hiccups for some special connector and adapter parts.  I feel like the price was reasonable and so I signed up for their Sunshine club for preventive maintenance and discounts.  Glad to have a dedicated plumbing and HVAC team in our neighborhood.  I recommend Sunshine to my neighbors and friends.

Our air conditioning went out on a weekend with guests in town on one of the hottest weekends of the year, and the actual owner of the company came to our house (when they're normally closed) to troubleshoot and fix our issue as well as upgrade our thermostat. Our guests are older and not getting this fixed quickly could have made for a miserable visit.

William and his highly trained team identified my natural gas problem, one that had eluded other two other teams. I had too much gas pressure from a outside faulty regulator. They quickly went about replacing the inside regulator valves on all my gas appliances, a task that took them all over the state to obtain parts, which they did quickly, competently and efficiently. I highly recommend their service. They were supremely professional, courteous and diligent. They effectively communicate with me at each step of the way.

Really great work. I was having new countertops installed in my kitchen and bathrooms and needed a plumber to do the disconnect and reconnect. Their quote was on-par with another I had gotten, and I liked the plumber a lot. The furnace tune-up technician was also trustworthy and nice. Based on other Yelp and Angie's List reviews, I thought I'd try Sunshine for a list of plumbing tasks around the house. My list included two slow drains, a bad faucet stem and an outdoor hose faucet replacement. Justin arrived on time and got to work. He had to order a special replacement stem for the bathroom faucet, but completed the other jobs quickly and professionally. Did a great job. He'll return in a few days to complete the work on the faucet. I'm pleased and will use Sunshine for my future plumbing needs.

I have spent months trying to clean up the mess this company left in my house. When faced with a simple task such as taking off a wooden door to access a crawl space, they removed the entire frame including the door.

You would expect that if someone removes a door to access a crawl space that they then would put the door back, but I guess if you destroy the entire frame, then it's up to the homeowner to just deal with it.

I'm so frustrated that they might even get out of the 10 year warranty, because quite frankly I would rather pay someone else then have them in my house.

I would give negative stars, but that isn't an option. Avoid this company at all costs

Colorado decided it was time for winter this week, and my furnace wasn't ready. Temps were almost 0 and the thing wouldn't start. After a few hours of trying to fix it, I called Sunshine and was given a confirmed appointment time when other companies told me I had to be put on the waiting list. Jared showed up well before the scheduled time, walked me through how the furnace worked and fixed the problem on the spot. Call these guys if you're having problems! They turned an experience I was expecting to be negative into a positive one. Next time I can't fix it myself, I'll be calling Sunshine.

Water heater began leaking on the Sunday before July 4 2017. They not only answered the phone on Sunday, but quickly made my appt. for the first one on July 5. Jason, the technician, arrived ahead of schedule. I found these folks when my previous plumbers were not doing regular plumbing any longer.  They recommended Sunshine, and I looked them up, reviews were good, so I was in.  They installed a Halo 5, to counteract hard water issues that I was having.  

They are very responsive, and very good to work with.  I have had Rocky L out to the house a couple of times,  He is very nice, and just an all around good guy.  Very efficient and thorough.  Always calls, when he is on his way, and gives me an ETA.  The little things, like that, make me like them even more.  When you have a two hour window, having a head's up can really make the difference.  He is a good ambassador for Sunshine Plumbing.

Not sure how prices compare to other plumbing organizations, as opposed to independent plumbers.  I think they may be a little high, but don't think that they are Applewood, or Ben Franklin - type high.  

The owners seem to be actively participating in the business, which I like.  The owner actually called me, to discuss The Halo 5 filtering system.  When I told him what I had read, he called the Halo people to get clarification.  Then he recommended a fix, and helped me understand how it worked.  I was impressed at his hands on approach.  

I purchased the Sunshine club membership, and have used it more than I thought.  But, it is so convenient to not have to look for someone every time you have a plumbing problem.

Last week, I needed  plumbing repair done in my Condo in a hurry. I immediately started searching around the web, Angie's List and IncredaReviews.com, etc. and saw that Sunshine Plumbing, Heating & Air had many great reviews.

After discovering that, my wife and I took a chance and called them. We left a VM and our call was returned in 15 Minutes !  Immediately,  an appointment was scheduled for the next morning. We also got a confirming e-mail from the main office for the appointment as well. Then on the day of the appointment, we also got a confirming call from the Service Technician 30 minutes prior to the appointment and the Service Technician actually showed up 10 minutes early!

Sunshine Plumbing's Service Technicians as well as the main office were extremely organized, professional and reliable. Upon arrival, the Service Technicians explained their rate structure and that they would only bill for time that they were actually working on my behalf. No trip charge.

They took a look at my plumbing repair requirements, then pulled out an I-Pad and put together an Estimate of Repairs which was then e-mailed to me. After agreeing to the order and to move forward, they finished the required repairs quickly and to my satisfaction. When everything was done and payment was made, a final invoice, marked Paid was prepared via I-Pad and e-mailed to me for my records while they were still in my home.

Working with Sunshine Plumbing, Heating and Air's office staff and Service Technicians in the field  were refreshingly positive..  No trip charge, no BS. Just great service by real professionals.  

I highly recommend Sunshine Plumbing, Heating & Air for your next plumbing, heating or air repair needs.

Honest and prompt.  I've worked with them a couple of times now, once to do a furnace certification on a home that I was selling and today to help diagnose an issue where our upstairs thermostat was spontaneously rebooting when the heat was running, causing the furnace to short cycle.  They were able to come out same day and Gino, their service tech, was super friendly and helped me diagnose how the furnace was overheating causing the power to the thermostat to be cut as a safety mechanism.  Simple issue to fix and now the furnace seems to run much quieter than it did before as well.  Definitely highly recommend.

Great Customer Service and Professional Technicians.  I called on a Monday in the heat of summer and had an appointment for Tuesday.  One Hour later a technician called and asked if I was available.  Marcus showed up 20 minutes later and started troubleshooting my system.  He spent more than 90 minutes checking all possibilities, and diagnosed that my AC Unit was good, that the problem was most likely a breaker.  Marcus took the time and did multiple checks and pointed me in the right direction.  For the flat rate of diagnostics, I am very happy with Marcus' professionalism and knowledge.  I hope the electrician I use is a s good as Marcus from Sunshine.

At no fault of Sunshine we had them out - again.  This time we had issues with a garbage disposal.   William F. was the technician.  

1) timing was on time
2) I appreciate the use of technology.  Appointment reminders, and even an email the day of to tell me who to expect
3) William fixed the issue in no time flat

My wife and will keep the Sunshine card as our de-facto call. I've always felt the service (at least so far) has been courteous, the price reasonable.  

Based on the fact that William went beyond the call of duty (and that is what I save 5 stars for) I've upgraded the rating.  Definitely will use again.

We recently used Sunshine Plumbing for another service- a thorough inspection of our heating and plumbing systems so that we're ready for winter. This was performed free as part of our membership in the Sunshine Club. I was very impressed by William's thoroughness and patience in showing me what he was doing and what I could do myself to prevent major issues in our home. He was courteous, friendly, punctual and efficient. He made minor repairs as he went along (much appreciated!) and alerted me to what would eventually need to be serviced or replaced. Ive really enjoyed working with this company. My husband and I refinish bathtubs for a living and on several occasions we need the drain and over flow removed in order to provide the best refinish for our customers. The only reason I'm giving this a rating of 1 instead of 0 is that the plumber was prompt and friendly as he helped this company to completely rip me off.  I had 2 inspection items to deal with for the sale of my home.  Despite telling him what work needed to be done I was charged $102 for a diagnostic that essentially involved locating the main water shutoff and confirming that he would do the work.  The part that was required (pressure reducing valve) I understand to be about $260 from another estimate that I received online.  The plumber was at my home for a total of 45 minutes from the time he arrived at my front porch until he left and the total bill was $775.42.  That means I was changed $515 for 45 minutes of his time.  I agreed to the price upfront thinking that there would be a lot more work involved.  Be careful.  Even if I'd understood how little work was to be done I know I was on the hook for the $102 and at that point I'd taken time away from work to be there for the appointment.  Look elsewhere.

I have been a Realtor in the Denver/Metro area for 40 years.  I have several great vendors on my Preferred Vendor List and wanted to give you a try, especially since this is a woman-owned business.  I am very upset with the service I've had so far.  I left work at 10:30 for a service window between 11-1 and the technician arrived at nearly 3pm...not his fault.  I've had to initiate all of the calls, following the proposed arrival time window, to obtain a proposed ETA and no one responded from the office.
The technician did call me at 2:38pm to let me know he was on his way.

I receive about three inquiries a week, from my clients, asking me who I might recommend for a variety of services.  Your customer service has ruined your chances of being on that list.

We used Sunshine to install a new central A/C 2 ton unit, running off a crawl space furnace. I had 3 separate businesses provide estimates, including ARS through Home Depot, and Sunshine struck the right balance for me in terms of cost, sincerity, and expectations.

The reason for the 4 instead of 5 stars is because I ended up also purchasing a new furnace after the 2-man crew arrived to start installation of the new unit, crawled through the spiders under the house, and determined that the furnace was 23 years old and not capable of efficiently running with a new A/C. Despite the 3 separate estimates, including one from a different individual at Sunshine, no one had mentioned that I would likely need a new furnace. The owner, William Frew, came to my house after I balked at this new necessity, we talked about options, I did additional research in real-time while they patiently waited, and ultimately I decided to go with the new furnace/A/C combo. My house was cool in time for a large family visit the next day and the A/C ran for 4 days straight to keep them from melting. My first electric bill is on-par with priors.

A lot has transpired over time about this problem, so what I am writing here is to the best of my recollection.  I have emails I can provide for some of this, but of course verbal communications were never written down verbatim.
On January 9th, 2019, Sunshine installed came to my home to replace a central humidifier for me.  Four days earlier (January 5th, 2019), I had had a brand new Rheem gas water heater installed by another contractor.
The Sunshine technician found he had to drain a water line as part of the humidifier installation.  He could have drained the water into a bucket and dumped it in a nearby basement bathroom.  Instead, he thought he'd save himself some time by draining the water directly into the nearby emergency water heater drain pan.  At first, I thought nothing of it, as I assumed the technician knew what he was doing.
A few hours after the humidifier installation though, my water heater went out.  The status light was indicating a problem with the fuel sensor (a sensor to sniff out potential vapor/gas leaks).  I opened the access panel and found that the water in the drain pan must have wicked up through the vents in the bottom of the water heater.  The inside bottom of the water heater was all wet, and the water was even wicking up into all the insulation in the walls of the water heater.
I called up Sunshine to alert them to the problem.  To their credit, they quickly sent out a technician to fix the water heater.  The technician after a bit of study (he was somewhat unfamiliar with Rheem water heaters, as Sunshine installs only Bradford White water heaters), he was able to get and replace the fuel sensor and get the water heater working again.  He did mention to me that he had no idea why the Sunshine technician who replaced the humidifier would be so stupid as to drain the water into the drain pan.  Of course, there was still a lot of water inside the water heater, and he had no way to get it out.  He suggested leaving the access panel open, in the hope that the water would eventually evaporate from inside.
A day or so later though, the water heater went out again.  This time the status light was indicating a problem with the igniter.  I called Sunshine again, and this time William Frew, the owner called me.  I explain the situation and how it looked as though the water heater would need to be replaced.  He told me that that was NOT going to happen, but that he would personally make sure that the water heater would be repaired and all would be put right.
Mr. Frew came out personally to see what was going on.  He was able to replace the igniter and get the water heater working again.  He also found out that the original technician who had replaced my humidifier, besides screwing up my water heater, had also botched the humidifier installation.  Mr. Frew was also able to get that fixed as well, all the while mumbling about how good help is hard to find these days.  He again promised me that he would make sure that all was taken care of.  I even got him to agree that, if worst came to worst, and the water heater kept going out, he would indeed agree to replace the water heater.
A day or two after that, the water heater went out again.  This time it was again the fuel sensor.  As I happened to at that point have a spare fuel sensor, I was able to replace it and get the water heater running again.  From this point on though I have left the access panel off, and the fuel sensor pulled away from the water heater, in case it was water vapor that was causing the problem.
I also had the original contractor, who installed the Rheem water heater, come out to take a look at things.  He observed all the water inside and informed my that my Rheem 12-year warranty (one of the main reasons I selected this particular water heater) was now likely null and void.  He also told me that his installation warranty was also unfortunately, null and void as well.
I email Mr. Frew about the new problem and asked for his advice.  He replied that he really didn't know what else to do.  I replied back again asking for advice, or where we should go from here, but never received a reply back.  Over the next month or two, I emailed Mr. Frew many, MANY times, but never got a response.  It was only after I called the main office, as well as emailed Mr. Frew again, suggesting that I'd be leaving very negative feedback on every website I could find, as well as possibly bring lawyers into this that I finally heard back.
Sunshine emailed me that they would like to send out a technician to check up on the water heater and perhaps replace the fuel sensor.  I replied back that that would be fine, but I wanted to know first know what the long-range plan was if errors kept popping up.  The only reply I received was again asking me if I wanted to set up an appointment with a technician.  I again asked what the plan was in case this did not permanently fix the problems.

Never responded.  Rescheduled.  Then never responded again.

A few neighbors recommended these guys, so I used their chat function to schedule a quote, which promised a response as soon as they opened at 8:00 am.  No one responded by noon, so I called them directly.  After many excuses, they scheduled a quote for Friday between 3 and 5 pm.  At 2:45 (when I had already left work early and was on my way home) they called to cancel.  When I talked to them to reschedule, they stressed that they normally charge $50 just to come out to look at a job, but they were doing me a favor by offering a free quote.  Again, I left early from work for a 3 - 5 service window on Tuesday, and NO SHOW.  No call.  No text.  Nothing.  No company charge you just to give a quote and certainly no company should make you leave work TWICE for absolutely nothing.

Sunshine came out to quote a basic sink and disposal installation today. $1500!? I asked what it would cost to replace two shut off valves and he said that would be an extra $200+. How about, no thanks! When I asked the guy why it was so much, he said that's just what it costs to have it done by a licensed master plumber. Well, I am now having Lowe's do the install and it costs $249...done by one of their master plumbers. The reviews sounded great for this place or we would never have called them out.

I own a home in Denver and in Washington DC, so I've interacted with many contractors over the years. My overall experience with Sunshine was hands down the worst. It started off well, as I had them come and do plumbing work on my Denver house. Since I liked the plumber, I signed up for a 1 year maintenance deal they had that included HVAC maintenance/tuning. They came in June to do this and confirmed that our AC unit was fine. The technician (I will refrain from using his name) insisted that a Compressor Saver would help extend the life of our AC compressor. He installed this and charged us for $400+ for this. That same week, the summer heat kicked in and our AC didn't turn on anymore. The same guy who did the install came out and said that there was no power to my furnace. I tried to ask follow-up questions and all he did was insist that I pay for the service visit charge. He said it was due to wiring between the compressor and furnace. I asked if it was related to his work, because what else could it have been; he ignored and dashed out. I have several electricians come, and they ALL said the same thing - improper wiring blew out the connection between the compressor and furnace. It took them 2 days to troubleshoot and make sure there were no safety issues. They still haven't charged me for over $1000 in work, because I explained the situation to them and they felt that bad for me. Together, we called Sunshine over 5 times, and EVERY single time, the operator used a neutral, political voice to say someone would call me back but nothing ever happened. I started off very polite but got more and more frustrated, since it was a week of 90+ degrees and no AC. We finally got an appointment and then they no-show'ed. That was a Friday afternoon, and I called back many times until someone finally said that I had been rescheduled to Tuesday; no notice. That's another 4 days with no AC. Had 2 new companies come out and evaluate. To quote them, the previous work was fishy and not best practice. Avoid Sunshine at ALL costs.

If you sign up for the Sunshine Club membership, do NOT move. They will not transfer your service to your new home. What does this mean to you? You have to purchase a new membership which means if you did not receive all the services that come with the membership, you lose them. I paid over $200 for a membership to get 1 service.

After talking to the owner they are now willing to do the transfer to the new home. Would have been much better experience if they had agreed to do that from the beginning.

Feb 2018 - I decide to give them a 2nd chance. I had switched my original review from 1* to 2*, but all that was good for for was nothing. Our furnace went out yesterday, I talked to a good friend who said Sunshine is good, give them another try. So I called and set up an appointment, the female owner called back 30 min later and said they were not going to come out since we were in the do not service list.

This company was great at first. Casey came out and was on time and very polite. They said they would have my estimate to me within the week. Fast forward two weeks and multiple calls I was finally sent an estimate but it wasn't for my work. I gave up on them and emailed them and told them I would be looking elsewhere and they sent me back a stock email that asked when I would like to book my job!!!! Call another!!!!

Sunshine Plumbing Heating Air came and replaced 2 outdoor hose bibs. I bought a Groupon and they did additional work as well. Justin G was our tech. Clean, wore foot protection in the house! He came on Labor Day and did the work quickly. I will use them again!!

Honest people. Our tech was very professional and waived the estimate fee. We ended up needing a whole new water heater which was really expensive, not because of the tech per se, just that they're expensive in general.

So we didn't go through with it but still were never charged a dime by them. We ended up going the more hands on approach and used Craigslist which was very labor intensive. Was much cheaper but definitely not for everyone and risky as well.

The important thing is we would've never known we needed a new hot water heater if it weren't for Sunshine Plumbing, Heating and Air, so we are extremely grateful for their professionalism and knowledge as well as their understanding in situations like ours.

Well it saddens me to change this review as I've had such a strong experience with sunshine over the years. However yesterday I felt bamboozled. Sunshine changed to a flat rate pricing policy...which they don't tell you on the phone. Only upon arrival. I needed a shower drain cleaned. I asked the technician what he thought was best. He said he would look at it and then have company reimburse me if the job only requires a p trap clearing. Well $884 dollars later it was like a whirlwind. $884 for a job that should have only cost $150-$400 max with any other company. We have a call into the manager. The technician was there for 45 min. Beware of this new pricing policy. Don't get bamboozled like I did. Again I've had such a great experience with this company in the past it's sad to feel taken advantage of this round. Do your research yelpers...their pricing structure will catch you off guard.

Both William and Garrett were wonderful to deal with and they were able to get us appointments very quickly!

Garrett diagnosed our problem and told us what we could do ourselves and what he recommended that they complete... At no cost!

William came and performed the work for us. He was right on time and explained everything so that we knew what he was doing. I did my research beforehand and everything he said lined up with what I found. The cost was right in line with the opinion of a friend we have that does similar work.

Overall, it was a great experience and we will definitely use them again as well as recommend them to friends and family.

I've had a couple of good experiences with Sunshine in the past. Not this one. I know that I need to have my shower drain scoped (drain cleaner has already been here). I've  spoke to them twice. The first time they wouldn't give me any indication of the price to scope my shower drain, without coming out for $59 to tell me. The second time they told me their camera is too large for a shower drain.

We had a couple hiccups in our project but still rate them 5 stars because the customer service and responsiveness was first rate.  I could tell from the time William came over to our house to quote the project that his business values customers and quality.  Don't call anybody else, call Sunshine.  You will taken care of if any issue arise with performance, function, or cleanup.  They were very honest with us and we will use them again.  

There are many horrible plumbing and hating companies out there- sunshine is a rare good one.

Was recommended a plumber from Sunshine. Called and he came out promptly to look at a leak. Probably an excellent plumber but unbelievably disrespectful.  Got snippy, rude and impatient after I respectfully asked questions about what might be causing the leak.  Then inexplicably told me you'll probably try and get out of paying anything before I could even get the chance to ask him his fee or what it would cost (something I was completely prepared to pay).  He indicated he had had bad experiences with other people in my area but this was the first time I had ever called on him; I have had several jobs in the service industry and ALWAYS pay whatever I owe and treat hard-working service people and repairmen with the tremendous respect they deserve.  Absolutely unbelievable!  He came back later to finish the job and didn't even make an attempt to apologize for his inexcusable rudeness.  I wouldn't hire this company again if they were the last plumbers in Colorado.

Another vendor I've worked with and trust (Garvin's Sewer and Drain) recommended Sunshine Plumbing to assess an issue I was having with water entering one of my rental properties. Sunshine responded quickly and professionally, and the technician (Rocky) was very professional and coordinated with my property manager.

Rocky felt the problem was an exterior drain that I'd suspected from the start, and didn't think a sump pump was necessary. In other words, he didn't try to sell a service that wasn't needed. I happily paid the fee for the visit, feeling better that I had an additional, reliable opinion to consider in resolving my issue. This was my first experience with Sunshine, but they'll be the first I call next time.

AVOID AVOID AVOID. Their scam is to get up into your home and provide an outrageous estimate, hoping that you will pay the outrageous price or be on the hook for the trip charge.  I requested a quote for a pressure reducing value.  The quote I got was twice as high as all my research indicated.  When I asked how much I was paying for the part and how much I was paying for the installation, William responded I don't know.  When I asked him to call the office to find out, William said that the office wouldn't know either!  RED FLAG SCAM ALERT!  Whenever a service provider tells you that they can't provide this information, you can be 100 % sure that they are lying to you.  William knew at that point that I was on to his scam, so he made up an excuse and left my house.

I've got to compliment the owners Susan and William for making it right.  Susan called me and apologized for the technician not having kept his appointment.  William came over and did our furnace cleaning.  He was extremely thorough and did an excellent job!  I highly recommend Sunshine Plumbing!

I'm very disappointed in this company. When I originally called I informed the receptionist that this was my only day off; a morning appointment was arranged. I received a call shortly after requesting I change the appointment as someone else had booked an appointment at that time. The appointment was changed to 1pm-3pm. I received a call at 2:30pm informing me that the service man would not be able to come out and could I reschedule for tomorrow which was not possible as they were originally notified.
The only reason I gave them 2 stars is because they kept me informed.

A/C had failed, was able to book same day service visit.  Technician (Manny) showed up promptly on time, quickly diagnosed the issue, etc. Upon my approval, ordered the parts, rescheduled final repair for the following day, etc.  Attentive, courteous, prompt, effective - hard to find a combination of these factors these days....!!

It seems they are understaffed and not good at managing their schedule more than 24 hours in advance...

After seeing all the great Yelp reviews and a recommendation by a neighbor, I was eager to have Sunshine do my fall furnace tune up.  When I called to set up an appointment, they got me on the calendar for 3 weeks out... Not ideal but I was willing to wait and it allowed me to change my schedule around so I could be there for the appointment.  The day before my appointment at 4:30 in the afternoon, they called and said the technician set to come to my appointment was tied up, and wouldn't be able to make my appointment. I asked when my appointment could be re-scheduled for and they said the earliest they were able to get me on the schedule would be for another two weeks.

If they foresaw they wouldn't be able to make my appointment, I would have appreciated they give me more than a half day notice (so I can re-arrange my schedule). Also, after waiting for my initial appointment for 3 weeks, its unacceptable that I would  be rescheduled and have to wait another two weeks, due to no fault of my own.
