One of my circuit breakers wend out and they responded quickly, setup a visit very fast and were communicative about my problem and setting up a visit.
The work was fast and efficient and took care of another wiring issue I had on my TODO list at the same time.
The technician tolerated my questions about my electrical system as well.
I recently purchased an electric vehicle and was in need of an electrician to install a Charge Point in my garage. As always, I consulted Yelp and found Sundog. My call was promptly returned and I was given an accurate timeframe for when they could come out with an estimate, and when the service might be completed. Unsurprisingly, they were booked out a bit. I was happy to wait given their reviews. I'd always rather wait to have a job done correctly than let my impatience lead me to a sub par experience.
They completed the install as scheduled, and with no surprises. The gentleman who came out to do the work were kind and professional. I would absolutely call Sundog in the future for my electrical needs.

Really enjoyed working with Sundog Electric. They were professional the whole time from the initial estimate to completion of project. It was really a breath of fresh air to work with them! They are booked out several weeks but it is for good reason and worth the wait. We had quite the to-do list for them including installing fixture boxes, a new outlet on a peninsula, a ceiling fan and a bathroom exhaust fan. They were communicative the whole time about what was being done and got my input when needed. We're very happy with how everything turned out!

Technician called to let me know they were running a couple of minutes behind. Less than 15 minutes later they were at my house. They were masked up and wore shoe covers while inside my house. They worked quickly on locating our problem and resolving the issue.

Prompt and professional. Sundog has their 'stuff' together from when Brian called me up to discuss my project to Adrian and Joel installing my new canned lights and 240 Plug for my EV car.
It seems rare these days to find a company that does what they say they are going to do. Outstanding all the way across.
I HIGHLY recommend them.
I needed a simple outlet installed for a home EV charger and Sundog was the only company of all that came out to bid on the job, that actually followed through and showed up when they made an appointment. I know it is a pretty low bar. I would say that on top of those minimums, they did a great job, had a superior price, and did the job quickly and cleaned up everything. I would definitely consider them again.

I hired Sundog Electiric for the electrical install in my custom home and I could not be happier. I had never heard of Brians company prior to building my house, but after interviewing him there was no other choice, I definitely hired the best. Hiring subcontractors is easy, getting them to show up is a nightmare. Brian delivered on everyone of his promises and his crew was nothing short of awesome!!! They showed up on time, cleaned up everyday and did a the job. Also, a true professional comes with advise, experience and helps you make the right decisions. I've hired Sundog Electric numerous times and they're truly the BEST. They go above and beyond to do the job right, at a very reasonable price ! I just bought a fancy new Cafe induction stove that cost a fortune and wasn't fitting against the wall, because the outlet was too high. Sundog's team came over and safely lowered the outlet so the stove now sits beautifully against the wall, and spent a very long time trying to wrangle the incredibly heavy stove so it sits level and flush. It now looks PERFECT! They tested the outlet to ensure it will perform as expected, and did a great job explaining things to me. I absolutely love them and will be hiring them for all our electrical needs ! FIVE STARS !!!!

We had a great experience with Sundog Electric. For starters this was the only company to return my phone call. I wanted a dinning room chandelier switch out. I was scheduled for the next day at noon. Andrew called to see if I would be available earlier in the day, which was great. Andrew and his co worker were professional, polite and quick to work. They were able to email a bill and I paid on line. Very easy.
They used a drop cloth to protect the carpet and used booties on their shoes.
I highly recommend Sundog electronic.
Brian and his team saved the day for us with a same-day fix. He was friendly, he understood the urgency of the situation (=we had a refrigerator that was not getting power...), his tech charged a fair price, and I wholeheartedly recommend this company to everyone.

These guys used to be great but now they will not even respond to our calls. Ok, there are other electricians. Not sure why we are ignored after using them 5 times, but I get the message.
Joel and his team were fantastic. They installed three light fixtures for me today and everything turned out beautiful. Prices are very fair too. I will be turning to them as our go to electricians!
Austin came by to install a couple of ceiling fans, install a couple of dimmers, and troubleshoot an outlet that we were having trouble with.
He was very nice and professional. He took his shoes off when entering our home, was very friendly to our dog and got the job done quickly. Dimmer works great, he stayed a little extra time to balance the ceiling fan, and he quickly knew to look in a very obscure spot to troubleshoot an exterior outlet, showing us a GFCI breaker that we didn't even know about.
They were on budget with their quote and I would recommend them to anyone.

We had a tough issue that required smart thinking and detailed troubleshooting. As usual, Sundog Electric was up to the challenge. Both Alan and Brian (the owner) were great to work with - extremely courteous and communicative, with none of that arrogant tradesperson attitude you get from other companies at times. Work with Sundog and you will not be disappointed!
Installed 2 outdoor receptacles. Austin and his team were very informative, prompt and efficient. Did an excellent job and discussed options - locations of boxes, routing options etc.
Would definitely hire again!
My family has used Sundog Electric twice now for different services around the house. The first was to install some exterior outlets in the brick and take down a lot of old wiring on our older house. This was done quickly and effectively.
The second was to install a ceiling fan and mount. It was done well but after the first day the fan started to make some noises. I contacted Sundog and they had the same installer out the next day to fix the issue and it was resolved. Excellent service and, what seems to me, fair prices.

Impressed with Brain and his staff. Electricians are squared away, very professional, and do everything from phone jack repairs to installing 150 lb chandeliers on cathedral ceilings. The estimates are very fair priced and reasonable. Instead of tearing out the ceiling for our chandelier project, the guys worked with us on hanging a hook from a beam, something other companies didn't suggest. SunDog Electric is bookmarked and OUR electric company!

What an impressive show of customer service and expertise from initial contact to project completion! Brian understands his craft and has a clear vision of the customer service he wants to provide. His technician, Austin, was knowledgeable, friendly and hard working. We ran into a problem with our heated floor thermostat going off recently and have also had problems with our spa tub working. This was a result of our fuses blowing. We contacted another electrical company in the Littleton area, who came out, after waiting three weeks to get on their schedule, and replaced two GFI boxes, charged us $240 and left. The fuse blew again that night. The owner of the electrical company came over and I explained that three fuses seem to be blowing randomly now, and he said that was not possible, and it was probably either squirrels chewing through our wiring, or the heated floor was going bad, and left. The tub and the floor are only three years old. And they never even bothered to check the wiring from the bathroom all the way to the fuse box.
Frustrated, I decided to try another electrical company, Sundog Electric, based on reviews left on Yelp. Glad I did. Brian got me scheduled for the next morning, and said he would put his top troubleshooter, Austin, on the job to get it figured out. Austin and Tim showed up on time, and within an hour were able to figure out the problem. It seems that the original electrician who installed the electrical work for the floor and the tub did a terrible job both installing and weatherproofing the external conduit pipe and junction box, and as a result the wires in the junction box, which had gotten water in there, degraded to a point that they were now exposed and arcing across each other, causing the fuses to blow. It could have burned our home down. This would explain why more than one fuse would blow. They worked quickly and rewired everything from the attic to the fuse box, made sure the external electrical equipment was weatherproofed. and everything is now fixed! Price was reasonable and they cleaned up everything before they left. We will recommend them to our neighbors and will use them for any future projects. Thanks Sundog!

Definitely a great service that I would use again. Everyone was friendly and professional. They were on time and did great work. The only reason I couldn't give them 5 stars is because when it came time to pay they needed cash or check. This is different than what is stated on Yelp (accept credit cards). That was the only complaint of the experience. If that is the case then please say up front when booking the appointment that this is the policy. Outside of that, Sundog is worth the price.

They're not taking new clients until February 11th. What's the point of a highly ranked electrical company if they can't help you with your issue. No one even answered the phone.
Top notch. Good communication, reliable quote, swift timely service. We hired Sundog to handle the electric associated with a small remodel. Was impressed by how well Brian communicated and by the promptness and efficiency of the team that performed the work.
I had two outlet receptacles with no power, despite the other ones in the room working perfectly. Sundog worked with my schedule, arrived on time, and had the issue resolved in less than 30 minutes. No hassle, no mess, and even friendly to my barking dog! I won't hesitate to use them again.
Sundog is a rare find where you get:
1) Honest electricians
2) Quality of their work is excellent
3) And prices are very reasonable
I have used Sundog to install my Tesla charger where they had to drill all the way from my main panel in the basement. The other highly rated electricians we found on Yelp were charging significantly more so we went with Sundog - they were very punctual and did great quality work. We have used them since to repair minor issues in our and once again they were very honest and provided quality work. Highly recommend them!

We had Sundog out to our home in Golden. They were professional and knowledgeable. We will use them again and I would say they are worth the wait.
I requested a number of estimates from electrical companies claiming I needed to replace my entire fuse box and meter, I decided to contact Sun Dog Electric for their opinion. After being told by them that I did not need to bring my box up to code, just clean it up a bit, we went with them instead. The electrician and his assistant arrived promptly, and besides a little confusion due to the original person not entering any information regarding what needed to be done, which was resolved quickly, they went right to work. A couple hours later the electrical box looked great, they installed a new 220 for an electric car and tightened up a switch on the wall in my office. They checked all outlets in the house and labeled them properly in the box, and capped off a sparking wire that was an issue for a few years now. All-in-all, a job well done.
Found Sundog on yelp. And we LOVE them. They have hung chandeliers, fixed breakers, put in new switches. They are always on time, happy to help with any needs we have, and are always reasonable on cost. And their work is incredible. I have them on speed dial. Great experience, from the estimate to the work, which included hanging a lighting fixture on a high ceiling, creating an electric box, and fixing some other electric boxes in my very old house with very old wiring. In late 2011, we bought a house that was built in 1962. Overall, it's in great condition, but every once in a while we make some surprising and/or alarming discoveries. Brian has done a bit of work for us, including changing out a latent fire hazard electrical box for a modern one, and wiring a new chandelier with a light switch (the previous fixture only had a pull cord).
He's reliable, gives fair and accurate estimates, shows up on time, and does great work. We'll definitely keep calling him for jobs that are too tricky to DIY.

I recently had some light flickering in my basement that evolved into a crackling sound coming from my electrical panel. Electrical is one of those things I don't mess with, and my kids were always going in the basement, so I left a message for Brian at 06:30 am and they called me back within the hour. They had a hole in the schedule and were able to get out an fix the connection that morning! Brian explained the problem to me and my electrical issues were over!
Today I have them back to install a new fixture, and I anticipate similar results.

If you are looking for an electrician that won't screw you over - look no further !
So we had a different company at our house to check out our basement lights since they would burn out after a couple a weeks. They told us it's the wiring and it would be around $3000 to fix since we had so many lights down there and it would take him several hours to fix. I thought that was a little much and found sundog electric online and made an appointment. They were great when I called quick appointment and they kept me informed when they would show up.
When Austin showed he got right to it and told me right away how much we would expect. He worked fast and even fixed my outlet under my sink in the kitchen under an hour and for under $100!!!!
These guys rock!!! Worth every penny! I will definitely recommend you guys!!!!
Sundog does great work I had them install a ceiling fan and upgrade a number of switches and fixtures the work was done expertly promptly and at a fair price the electricians were on time and got everything done and it works perfectly I plan on having them down for Phase 2 of some improvements. Over the years we've had Brian and a couple people from his crew out to do miscellaneous jobs around the house. They're all always prompt, courteous, full of info and affordable. When they leave, it's always a job well done. If you need a good electrician then this is your best bet.
These guys were a complete Yelp find for me as I didn't personally know any electricians near me after buying a new home and couldn't get any friends or coworkers that had strong positive opinions about any electricians they've worked with in the recent past. I'm extremely happy that Yelp exists because Sundog Electric was great! I didn't have any overhead lighting in my living room or master bedroom and wanted to have some ceiling fans installed which required a complicated junction box installation in the living room where there was no attic access. I received a same-day response from Brian who was very thorough in going over pricing and got me on the schedule ASAP - for reference two other companies I contacted didn't respond at all for several days. Sundog Electric provided me with upfront flat fees for both the junction box installations and the ceiling fan installations so I knew exactly what the job would cost even before they arrived.
Austin and Adrian were very friendly, professional and clean in taking care of this job. I will definitely be reaching out to these folks again when I look to make some more electrical improvements in the future. I'm very impressed with them after this experience.

From start to finish, Sundog Electric provided great customer service, an admirable professional work ethic, and high-quality work at a reasonable price. Though they are a busy business, someone at their office responded to our service inquiry promptly. We had a free estimate (word to the wise: you should avoid businesses that will only provide estimates for a fee.) within the week and an appointment scheduled within a month (the summer season is particularly busy for home improvement and repair companies).
On Monday, two electricians arrived at our home at their appointed time and worked hard to complete a project that was more involved than initially anticipated. Brian, the owner of the business, even stopped by while the electricians worked to make sure everything was going well and to answer any of our questions. A top-notch business model that instills trust in the business/customer relationship.
I will recommend Sundog to all of my homeowner friends and will certainly contact them again when we need electrical services. Thank you for your hard work, integrity, and commitment to customer satisfaction, Sundog!
They were able to come on 2 days notice to do an inspection of an unpermitted basement in a house on which we had put in an offer. He was very clear and told us both the good and the bad of the electrical inspection clearly and concisely. He was also happy to look at a few other things in the house for us.
My only complaint is that he arrived almost 45 minutes early (before I could get there), and allowed the current owner to stay in the house and show him around. I would have preferred to be there for the entire process and to hear any conversations had between the owner and the electrician.
I've never needed to call an electrician before so I was a little apprehensive calling Sundog. I shouldn't have worried. Sundog's team is professional, courteous, and they got the job done. They were booked out two weeks but were flexible enough to squeeze me in. I was impressed with their knowledge and skills. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Sundog to anyone. Five stars!!

We have used Sundog since buying our home 6 years ago. From upgrading to 200 amp service to installing a ceiling fan to putting in an electric car charger, Brian and his staff have consistently been professional, courteous, on time, and there when we need them. I would highly recommend them to anyone.
I got a ridiculous estimate for hanging light fixtures at my new house so I contacted Sundog. They showed up when they said they would completed the work well and charged a reasonable price. They even told me that my front porch plug was just a tripped GFR and found it ( it was in the basement). They could have changed it and I wouldn't know the difference. I found Sundog Electric here on Yelp and was encouraged by the positive reviews. They exceeded my expectations! They are professional, know their stuff, and are very nice and customer service-oriented. I needed an orb chandelier assembled and installed, and they had experience installing this particular chandelier, which gave me a lot of confidence. Their prices are very competitive. For this job, they did come in above other electricians but only because they knew they would need scaffolding and added that cost into the equation (otherwise, they were very competitively priced). After watching the assembly and installation, I don't see how anyone else could have done this without scaffolding. I appreciated the care they took with each piece of the assembly and with being careful in my home overall. I had to schedule in advance, but they arrived right on time and were able to stay the extra time for some unexpected wiring that the project required. I would recommend them without hesitation and will definitely call them again the next time I need an electrician.

Sundog has excellent service and competitive pricing. The guys that do the work are friendly, professional, and efficient. We had them install dimmer switches, recessed lighting, add sockets, and install a new outlet over our fireplace for a TV. When we have more electrical work, we will be calling them back.

These guys are fantastic. I had quite a few things I wanted done in my home. Ceiling fan install, chandelier replaced, bathroom vanity lights replaced, an outside outlet that didn't work and an upgrade of all the plugs and light switches throughout the house. I called/emailed several companies for an estimate. Brian from Sundog was the only company that wanted to come to the house to talk about everything I wanted done and give us a detailed estimate. Everyone else wanted to give an estimate through email. This is why I went with Sundog along with the stellar reviews here on Yelp. Brain was great. Since we had a large amount of work to be done he sent 3 electricians on the scheduled day of work so that they could be finished in one day. The team that he sent was fantastic. They knew their stuff, they were very professional and friendly all at the same time. I would highly recommend this company to anyone.
These guys are amazing. Our contractor left us in a bind and we needed special wiring installed for an A/C installation. I called 12 electricians - 2 returned my call. Sundog called back right away. I had to fire the first electricians I had on my job. It was a multi day project on an existing residential house. A lot of small renovation items. A laundry list of about 30 items I needed to get done. Some easy, some hard. After firing the first electricians, Sundog came in and did an excellent job! They were fast. Professional. Courteous. I had to get a chandelier removed and install a track light; all of which took around 50 minutes. He was very friendly and cheerful and gave us a lot of tips. Overall, the quality of work was great. I would certainly recommend Sundog Electric for any electrical work in the house.
Good communication and scheduling off their website, they came today. Beth and Jeremy arrived ready to go after calling to give us an ETA and a cheery greeting. They were very pleasant, exquisitely careful, thoughtful and efficient, not wasting a moment's time despite being on the clock! They fixed our chandelier's wiring efficiently, cheaply, cheerfully. We have a new company for our electrical repairs, and Sundog is it.
Had Brian out to install some new recessed lights and a cold water bond for future replacement of my electrical panel. Service was prompt, courteous, and the work was great. Brian gave me some good advice on some of the future projects i'm thinking about as well. Reasonable prices. I plan to use Sundog Electric again soon!
The electricians literally just left my house and first thing I thought was I need to write a review because they were fantastic :0) From scheduling with Brian, who was so nice and helpful answering my questions to the electrician Beth and her apprentice Doc that arrived to do the work, was easy and best of all done correctly!! They were knowledgeable, fast, and friendly, so nice in fact they were welcome to stay all day :0) I will be calling and scheduling again with Sundog and requesting Beth and Doc for future electrical work we need done!!
Brian's quote was by far the best out of the bunch I received, so I took a chance and was very happy I did. Donlan and his partner were very professional putting in a new circuit and front outside outlet. It took less than a couple of hours, and they did a great job. I highly recommend Sundog electric. Even though I am outside of their usual area, I hope they will let me hire them for future projects.
Twice now we've had them take out 1950s original fixtures, fans, switches, rewire and install. Both times they had great scheduling, follow through, outstanding communication, high quality work and in general superb humans to work with. In between the two apts I even forgot to cancel one and they were very gracious. When you are gutting and remodeling a home on your own there are lots of delays and unexpected costs. Not with sundog - schedule these guys. Highly recommended.
We used Sundog to install a chandelier and ceiling fan in our home. These guys were efficient, courteous, and professional. We will certainly use them for our needs going forward. I can also say that the rate they charged was absolutely reasonable for the amount and quality of work they did. Save yourself the time and use these guys.
Sundog electric have been to my house twice in the last couple of weeks. Both times Jeremy and Joel did a stellar job. They were able to tack on little and not so little jobs that I needed done and did them all with a sense of professionalism, friendliness and efficiency that can be hard to find in tradesmen these days. I would recommend them to anyone. Very reasonably priced too.
Got our bid from Brian to replace the electrical panel (as ours was a serious safety issue) and do several fixes, small installs of electric throughout house. The bid was spot on and very fair in price (I had done my homework). His crew arrived on time, worked quickly and efficiently, cleaned up after themselves and stayed after normal business hours to get the lengthy task of upgrading the panel done. When the inspector reviewed the work, said it was on par with top notch commercial install and to the standards he would do in his own home. I'll be using Brian again (hopefully) soon when I complete our remodel.
This is an amazing company! The electrican crew showed up on time, were friendly and ready to go. They took time to go over the options for our kitchen lighting project, before they started, and explained it a second time to my husband over the phone at work to make sure that was what he wanted as well. They were efficient, extremely knowledgeable, and professional. I wish all contractors were this fantastic. The prices were great, and we will happily choose Sundog again if we have another electrician job.
Brian is the best, on time, a true pro, and he's very reasonably priced. He's my go-to guy for electrical work, he should be yours too!
I called Sundog for a estimate to put in an outlet in my garage ceiling for my garage door opener. I also needed them to run some romex for a future fourplex outlet that I'd be installing myself when I refinished one of the garage walls. I spoke with Brian and he gave me a quick estimate over the phone and it was the best pricing I had received all day. Although the next available appointment was three weeks out, I booked it. I apologize because I can't remember the two guys that came out, but they worked diligently, were professional, and very respectful of my property and time. Great service all around and in the end the final payment was under the quoted estimate price. Thanks Sundog!
I don't have a lot of experience with electricians but I was very happy with Sundog. I had several new outlets installed, a few fixed, a fan put on a separate switch and a couple other things looked at. The price was very near what Brian estimated based on manhours and much more simple of an experience that I expected.

Had Brian's guys, Donlin and John, perform a small outdoor job in miserable weather. They were efficient and polite, and outdid my expectations for the outcome. Brian's price was reasonable. I strongly recommend this family-run, small business for your electrician needs.

This is as good as it gets for electrical work. The first quote I got from another company was ridiculously high so I called Sundog and I'm so glad I did. Brian came over today and promptly figured out the problem in our basement and fixed it within minutes. The lights work now and he did it all at a very reasonable price. I liked them so much that I hired them for another job in two weeks! I highly recommend Sundog.

My power went out for my entire house at 7:00pm. I called a bunch of local electricians, and nobody answered except Mr. Sparky. They said they could send someone out that night but it would be $125 after hours fee. I said yes, and then waited. After waiting 4 hours for them to arrive, I called and they said they couldn't give me an ETA. I canceled and went to bed. The next morning I checked Yelp and found Sundog was highly recommended. I called them and they said they had a cancellation in their schedule and could come out between 9-10am that same morning. True to their word, they came out and did the job quickly and professionally. They charged me $95 for the hour and $75 for the breaker I needed, as promised over the phone. I was very grateful for both the timely help and the more than reasonable price. I would highly recommend using Sundog for your electrical needs. They are polite, fast, and reasonably priced.
If I owned a company, it would be run the same way that Sundog Electric runs theirs.
I needed a new chandelier installed in my foyer, up high. I contacted a few handymen and electricians. Either they did not respond or wanted to run a scam. I could have rented the equipment from Home Depot but it would have taken several trips to transport the scaffolding or ladder and then try to talk a friend into assisting. I saw an ad for Sundog and was soon contacted by Brian who gave me some reasonable quotes depending on the height of the ceiling. Although they were scheduling a few weeks in advance, they were worth the wait. Austin & Jeremy were prompt, courteous, professional, pleasant and knowledgeable, all in superlative ways. After the original install, my wife wanted the chandelier lowered by a few inches. Without complaint, they made the proper adjustment. I need not look any further for future electrical needs.

I have to concur with the other reviewers here. We just had some electrical work done at the house. Kitchen remodel needing electrical work and then some other odds and ends that we had put off. They were friendly, courteous, and did the job well. I have absolutely no regrets in hiring them and highly recommend them!
Brian is great -- he is fast, on time and really knows what he is doing-I would highly recommend him anytime!!
I'll never call another electrician, these guys were great. Called me back on Christmas weekend, were there when they said they'd be, very friendly and knowledgeable. They hung 3 lights quickly, cleaned up and were gone in an hour. I highly recommend Sun Dog Electric.

I asked Brian's people to come out and handle a variety of small tasks at a house we had recently purchased, including diagnosing what was thought to be a non-functional outlet or two, checking the safety of and labeling an outdoor switch box, and installing smoke alarms. They did wonderful work, they did it fast and for an extremely reasonable price, and they were able to get out to my house to do the work fairly soon after I called to ask for an appointment. I will use SunDog Electric again.
brian sears is exceptional-his work is meticulous and completed on time...his prices are fair...very nice to seee in this day and age; very professioanal-i would use him again. prices are right on bid price.

We had Sundog rewire our entire lower level and add a sub panel. They arrived on time and worked all day until they were finished. All the workers had a great attitude and there were no issues. The inspector found a couple minor issues (don't they always!) and they came back within a couple days to get it all set to the inspectors liking. Now it's on us to get the drywall installed so they can install the fixtures. Great price for the job as well.
I cannot say enough positive things about Brian Sears and his apprentice! I had an electrical problem that was disrupting power in 1/3 of my house. I am usually a very good handyman but after several days of troubleshooting I knew this problem was beyond my scope of experience. Brian, however found the problem in no time! It was behind a wall and I would never have found it. He was kind and courteous. He went out of his way to explain the problem to me in great detail. His price was so reasonable, I had to resist the urge to bake him cookies. I will never use anyone else for my electrical needs. I give him the highest recommendation! It is so hard to find a trade person you can trust to do a good job and not overcharge. I'm grateful I found Mr. Sears.
