McAdams tried to do $400 of unnecessary work when all that was required was 5 minutes to replace a $9 part.
The Vacuum Breaker Assembly was leaking from the top of my outdoor anti-siphon yard faucet.
I paid $40 to have a plumber from McAdams Plumbing come out and look at the problem. I turned on the faucet and showed him the water coming out of the anti-siphon valve on top of the faucet.
He told me that the faucet had frozen and we needed to replace it. He said we needed to rip out the dry wall from our finished basement to gain access and that the job would cost $400, not including replacing the drywall which we would have to hire someone else to do.
I did a quick google search on how to fix a leaking anti-siphon faucet and found out that it's a 5 minute fix with a $9 part from Ace Hardware. It turns out that this is a common problem that any plumber would be familiar with.
I bought the part and did the job myself in 5 minutes and everything works fine now. I just had to unscrew a lid with my hand and take out the old plastic part and drop in the new one. It's a common problem and the part is designed to be easily replaced. Anyone could do it.
I'm not pleased that McAdams came out and charged me $40, then left me with the problem unfixed. It seems they either lied to me or are horribly incompetent.
Called to reschedule 30 min before suppose to be arriving , twice . Wasn't waiting for a third strike . Too many red flags . At first said it was because they were short handed then it was an emergency . Do not recommend .

Rick and Jacqueline McAdams own a residential plumbing business and they helped us many times over the last 5 years. They are the best and are like family to us. They're the only plumbing company we will call.

I had a bit of a plumbing emergency at the retail store I run so I called McAdams Plumbing. It took them less then an hour to have someone at my store to fix my problem. The cost was very reasonable and I am beyond satisfied. Thank you for working so well and so quickly to resolve my issues.
These guys are outstanding. Rick was really great. He is very straightforward and helpful. He was prompt and the work he did looks and works fantastic. I plan to call McAdams for all our future plumbing needs.

We weren't happy with our previous plumber so when the drain gets clogged, we tried McAdams instead. We called early in the morning, got a callback before their opening time and have an appointment set up for the same day. He showed up right on time and get the drain cleared quickly. Great service.
We know who we'll call next time for plumbing service.
I had a fairly minor issue under the kitchen sink that caused us concern and wanted it fixed before it escalated. After calling McAdams plumbing Tim was able to come that day, evaluate the issue and inform me of the options. He resolved the issue quickly and professionally. We'll use them as our go to plumber henceforth!
Tim and Danielle are the best. Great job redoing our kitchen sink basin.

This is a GREAT plumber. Our house started flooding this afternoon, and after no returned calls from other plumbers in the area, we saw reviews for McAdams plumbing and called.
Chris was over at our house in 10 minutes, provided instructions to my panicked daughter over the phone as what to do until he got there, and fixed the problem in 15 minutes.
The price was reasonable and he seemed very knowledgeable. Thank you, McAdams Plumbing!

I can't say enough good things. Tim showed up on time, was courteous, took care of the problem in a timely manner, didn't track any dirt in the house and what I paid matched what I was quoted. I know who I'll be calling when I have plumbing problems. The quote I received over the phone was a lot less than what I was quoted by another competing plumbing business. Kudos!

DO NOT EVEN CALL! Charged way over their quote. They fixed one minor thing but created another problem that they said would cost more to fix! The charges kept adding up! I felt completely scammed. Buyer beware!

These guys are great. I would recommend them to anyone. They charge for quality product and service and they back it up.
About six months after having them install a hot water heater, I woke up with no hot water. Within 20 minutes a tech was at our house and fixed the problem at no charge. Even more impressive was the fact that the problem with the heater was most likely caused by the construction of our basement. McAdams didn't fight the warranty repair, they just took care of it.
Service like this is what anyone would hope for when a problem arises.
I am very pleased with my first experience with McAdams. Rick arrived 20 minutes before our service window (I was contacted ahead of time by the office to let me know that he was available to come early) and within 20 minutes of arriving, he had diagnosed the issue, given me a quote, and made the repair. He was even sweet and friendly to my doggies! Great job!
First of all I want to say that the people I talked to were polite and friendly people, including the technician who came to my home.
Unfortunately, being nice does not give me back $35 bucks that could have been saved during my first conversation with whoever answered the phone.
I don't expect a front desk person to know what the technicians know, but this seemed like something they should have been able to tackle: They don't work on the issue that I was having, but refer out. So my time and my money could have been saved by a knowledgeable office staff and because of that I am not really pleased. 2 stars for Rick being a nice dude and for a next day appointment time.
Wonderful company. Honest, helpful, and fair, everything a homeowner is looking for when hiring a service. I will use them again.

Great service! I called on a Friday at 3pm in Boulder, they were at my door in 30 minutes to give a quote on installing shower fixtures. They were able complete the job that next Monday morning. Not sure if they are the cheapest around, but if you are looking for FAST, quality work, give them a call.
Our regular plumber for a decade. Simply the best in this area. Competent, Honest, Reliable, Prompt and Friendly.
The only Broomfield-Boulder plumber I recommend.

These folks, if not the best, are among the best. They did everything as asked for and then some. The issues that were of concern were taken care of way ahead of what was estimated in time. Tim, the service man, is very knowledgable, professional and like the rest of the entire McAdams team, was a pleasure to work with. If any plumbing needs arise again in the future, I know who I will be calling.
Excellent service and each problem solved. Tim is a very knowledgeable plumber. Tim and Danielle have owned McAdams Plumbing since at least summer of 2018. I have had Tim visit for a number of jobs over the past 1.5 years - and each time, Tim has solved the problem. He works efficiently, is timely, and on budget (has never gone over the estimate). Danielle books the appointments and is very careful. She asks key questions to understand the issue, will sometimes she will have me text photos of the problem, and has been very accurate with scheduling time as well as giving accurate cost estimates. The most recent job was to correct a problem with our frig water dispenser which was present from Day 1 of move in (we couldn't get more than a thin stream of several fluid ounces to come out). Frig came with the house so we were not sure what was wrong since the ice maker still worked. We finally called McAdams. Tim replaced the saddle valve with a proper connection, as well as corrected the inappropriate tubing between pipe and frig. Now we have cold filtered water coming out of the frig's water dispenser at a normal pressure. Yay!
Tim and his wife (who works in the office) are awesome! I am selling my home and needed an emergency repair done. They responded immediately, communicated throughout, did what they said when they said they would do it, for a fair price. I would highly recommend McAdam's plumbing. Great local plumber. Showed up on-time, performed the work requested, cleaned up and gave a 1 year warranty on the work. Now I have peace of mind that my incoming water pressure will not result in water hammer and perhaps blow out my appliances. Thanks guys!!!
We had a leaky valve under one of our sinks that was old and degraded. Tim replaced both valves and the piping. It looks brand new. I should have had him do both our sinks. His work is always impeccable. He's the best plumber we've ever known. I recommend him highly for any plumbing work that needs to be done. He always goes above and beyond. His price is reasonable.
Everyone at McAdams was great, from the scheduling, through the estimating visit and the service visit. Rick installed a sump pump in my basement (none existed before), and he did a terrific job and was friendly and helpful the whole time. I think the price was reasonable, considering that the work is strenuous and involved, and takes several hours. I'd use them again in a heartbeat.
I had a concern regarding the work that was done and both Rick and Jacqueline have followed up with me to offer a very satisfactory resolution.

I called McAdams plumbing to get a quote on what it would cost to install three new toilets at a residence. They woman on the phone was incredibly nice and made me feel good about going with this small, local company.
She quoted me a high end figure of $359 for the job. She never once indicated that it may be $359 PER toilet. I had asked for a quote for the entire job.
I scheduled the job two weeks later. The tech, Chris, arrived at my house on time at the very beginning of the time window mentioned on the phone. When he arrived he said that the job would cost $300.00 per toilet! I was absolutely shocked! I can't believe this. We hadn't budgeted $900 for this job.
Home Depot was willing to install the new toilets (via their contractor) for $79.00 each, but they weren't able to do the job immediately. We were willing to pay a little bit more for immediate service, but not over $650 more.
Seriously bummed...
This company has helped me twice (different issues). The second time I tried to avoid calling them by doing the work myself and I was almost (so close) successful but there was a leak so I ended up calling McAdams. They came and not only fixed the leak (which wasn't my fault as it turned out - yay!) but replaced an old pipe and changed the handle too so it'll be easier for me next time. Rick is a great guy and the woman who schedules the appointments is kind and always answers the phone which is nice. I'm glad I found this company.
