Failed to respond to my project via home depot, and never reachable on the phone through their auto-response/voicemail system, over three separate contact attempts.

This company does not hold a master plumbing license which is required to install water heaters. Also they do really horrible work without permits or inspections.

Wish I could give them no stars. Fast to take your money but not fast to do the work you paid them to do. Over priced, and they don't install what they promised, make sure it's in their agreement.  Home depot needs to stop dealing with them. Better go with lowes for major upgrades. Delta mechanical really disappointed me, learned my lesson don't deal with delta! They don't communicate with there departments with HVAC and plumbing.

We had Andrew Coleman of Delta Mechanical come out to replace our water heater. He was courteous and professional. The work was done on time and as expected. We were billed exactly what we were told we would be billed. Our experience was as stress-free as replacing a water heater can be.

Update- the last fail was not Delta's fault, the inspector from Regional did not go into my attic to see what he said was missing. Andrew Coleman came and took a picture, showed me it was there, and apologized profusely for the Miss by the inspector. He was very apologetic and professional. I appreciate him locally, I still am frustrated with their Arizona call center. I would do business again, but only if Andrew was the one I was working with, he gets 5 stars.

Bought a water heater at Home Depot and used their installers, Delta Mechanical, to install. Moved shortly after and was getting the house ready to sell and we are informed that the permit is still open, almost 3 months later. Call to schedule inspection and am told Delta has to schedule it. I leave multiple messages over a week period with no call back because the girl who schedules for my area is out.
Finally get inspection and it fails. I misunderstood the inspector and thought it was only the minor thing of having a ladder available and putting door grates on the door. I do those things, call for another inspection, it still fails. The vent is messed up and the inspector informs me that Delta should have called me because they received the failed inspection report and know they need to fix.
Delta does call, comes back, I assume they've fixed it. Another inspection and again FAIL! I call and am told they will be back the next day between 4 & 6, 6:00 rolls around, they haven't shown up. I call, they tell me my appointment is between 3 & 7 but they'll call the technician. I'm on hold a few minutes and they tell me he's 20 minutes away. I'm still waiting, 40 minutes later.
I will NEVER do business with this company again and I will let Home Depot know what terrible service I've gotten, not to mention the lost wages while I wait around for them to arrive and all the inspections that have failed.

Andrew Coleman and his manager Jason are some of the best service technicians I've come across in a long time. They are very respectful of my time, professional, and most importantly they have a personality that gives you that warm fuzzy feeling. The work i was having done was some warranty work and they made the process seamless. They came out on a holiday, when it was convenient for me, completed the repairs, and set up the whole pikes peak regional building department inspection on a day that i was available. To top it off they even followed up with me the following day to assure that everything is going smooth.
As a person who was enslaved by the customer service world for over 13 years of my work career i was given a standard to adhere too. These gentlemen have meet and exceeded that standard. For those that want to know that standard i speak of its top quality automotive service that is expected at the dealership level Audi Infinity Cadillac etc. I tip my hat to these guys and i hope to do them justice with this review. thanks again....

My first water heater replacement was a great experience, as far as water heater replacements can go. My water heater failed on Friday night, on Saturday morning I called 3 local big name plumbers who all quoted me between $1800 and $2100 dollars, however they couldn't get anyone there until Monday for an actual quote.  I decided to at least buy the water heater, as it was 600 less than what the plumbing companies were going to sell me.   I got to Home Depot at about 11, and they told me they could get it installed that day, since it was before noon.  And they did.  Andrew was there at about 3, talked with me and showed interest even in what my 5 year old daughter was doing.  He took out the old water heater and replaced it in about 45 minutes, and gave me a water sensor for the drip pan he had.  Great guy, great work, and I would definitely call him again for any future repairs I might need, with no second thought.

On March 27, 2023, after replacing my old water heater, I request several days to send a 'technical report'. However, a man who's name is 'Shoter' he send me an email without any technical report. When I asked This is not a technical report, it is an email, his reply was this is what I have. My insurance company told me to submit a technical report. Finally, I am unable to submit because of Delta Mechanical. As a homeowner my advice, don't go to Delta, find other company who are able to prepare the documents for insurance also. I am really disappointed and sorry to DON'T go to DELTA MECHANICAL. They are too much greedy.

Requested a quote for a tank-less water heater.  Took a day off from work to meet the representative (who was very nice) and we spent time measuring & checking the home for the effort.  We NEVER heard back from them.

Wonderful experience with Delta Mechanical with my hot water heater project via Home Depot.  Andrew Coleman was very professional and helpful - explaining everything and helping us to understand how our new equipment worked.  He provided amazing service and we are very grateful for his wonderful work.  Thanks!

If you have ever been without hot water you know how stressful it can be for everyone in the household, no showers, etc.  I contacted Home depot at 10am, by 1PM Andrew from Delta showed up as promised and out went the old, in with the new water heater in less than two hours.  Andrew was very courteous and professional.  He gave me valuable information on how water heaters work, how dangerous they can be if not installed properly, and trained me on how to use and maintain my new water heater. I highly recommend Andrew and Delta for any plumbing needs!

Lost 12year old HW Heater late on Tues this week.  Called our home heating & ac company and by next morning had a technician unprepared to repair anything...charged us $90 for his service call, estimated $1900-2000 to replace the unit and couldn't commit to a date that such an installation could occur and insisted on moving a supply pipe as it was in his way.  I called Home Depot service and they immediately sold me a HW heater and scheduled the repair for that afternoon for ~$1400.  I sent the first guy away....
Andrew Coleman of Delta Mechanical showed on time with new unit and plenty of prep to do what was needed to install.  No req'd re-route of the supply line, just straight out with old, in with new....done in less than an hour.  Full tutorial on the new unit, prep for the county inspection already scheduled, and description of service and warranty left right on the tank.  These guys are the best; recommend you all use the Home Depot service and Delta Mechanical.

I had my water heater replaced by Delta Mechanical. I am extremely satisfied with their services. This is an old house and the old water heater was 30 years old. There were several unexpected problems due to this issue. Chris Seward was the technician who completed the work. He explained everything clearly, he walked me through the process, explained the relevant codes and recommended appropriate resolutions. Chris kept me informed at each step and showed me the work as it progressed.

Amber in their Mesa office worked up the costs and explained that part completely and I understood it when the call was completed. She was extremely professional and courteous.

I highly recommend this company.

I see all the negative reviews but honestly I only have really positive things to say.

We could tell our hot water heater was about to go so we went through the Home Depot website on wed night and received a call Thursday morning saying they could come out that afternoon and install a brand new 40gal heater.

I got a call from Andrew Coleman who let me know he was just picking up the heater and would be at my place in about a half hour. This was great because I didn't have to sit around waiting for him to show. Really profession guy who explained everything about my heater including how to maintain it. I know nothing about plumbing and he made it easy for me to understand.

Delta is a bit pricey but they take care of any permits needed and inspection appointments after installation. They also picked up the new heater and hauled away the old one. It was beyond worth it to me to have a professional install it in less than 2hrs.

The process was painless thanks to Andrew. I would definitely ask for him by name next time. We're back up and running with a new heater less than 24hrs after reaching out to them.

We bought a very expensive hot water heater from Home Depot, delta mechanical came out and installed it. With the money we were paying, I thought it would be a thorough professional job; it was not.
The installer had turned off the heater and the water to the washer dryer and didn't turn them back on. The inspector failed the job, because it was not level and a matter about carbon monoxide detectors. A week after the inspection, a soldered joint failed. It's been hell to try to get the inspection rescheduled. No; I am not happy with this company, if you pay the ungodly amount of money, you should expect it to be done right the first time.
