HISTORY

Established in 2009.
Doug the owner started out plumbing in 1998. He plumbed new homes from the ground up & huge remodel projects. Doug and his wife Tonya had a small dream of running their own company. It all started with a purchase of one van & a drain cleaning machine. We've been fortunate to have such great support from both the plumbing community & all of our amazing customers! We strive everyday to provide the best service possible.

Brief update: I continue to get excellent service from them. In recent months I've had them replace a kitchen faucet, clear out a sluggish kitchen drain, and replace the bathtub valves in the master bath. I enjoy working with Doug because he is very thorough and makes sure he understands the problem before he applies a fix. The only drawback is that they are very busy so it takes a few weeks to get them out to your house.

I will never use this company again. Unprofessional and unwilling to warranty work/parts. Wouldn't even come to the house to look at the issue, instead blamed the problem on me without having the facts.

Our tenant notified us about a pipe that had started leaking water in the basement. Some former neighbors recommended I contact Around the Clog.

I contacted them via text message and sent them also a few photos, they replied within a couple of hours and gave information about the trip fees, hourly rate and availability. They were also able to give me an estimate based on my photos. They were able to fit me in the next day. The tech Matt showed up on time and was friendly and professional. The leak was fixed quickly and rates were reasonable.

I have used Doug twice; replaced a water heater and lowered the drain for my kitchen sink. Great work, personable crew, and reasonable. I would use them again if anything comes up.

Pro tip! If your hot water heater fails, buy one from your big box store of choice then have Doug install it. I saved $$$$ by going that route compared to what I was quoted by Home Depot. I also had the luxury of it being a non emergency.

Once again, AOC comes through with a quality response to my plumbing needs w professionalism and a fair price. After having very disappointing experiences from other local plumbers and being ripped off badly (Precision)

We used Around the Clog to change two outside leaking faucets. I contacted them on their website and they called me back the following day. The person on the phone was very friendly. I was able to get an appointment within a few days. It was not an emergency and it was perfect for me.
Doug showed up on time. Doug was very friendly. He evaluated the work and changed the faucet. The price was reasonable I think.

I was very happy with them and I will use their company again. I strongly recommend Around the Clog.

I've now worked with Around The Clog on a couple jobs (one minor toilet repair, one fairly big water heater upgrade) and they've been great to work with both times. Friendly, quick, and very fair with pricing. There are some outfits in town that will gouge you if they can (one begins with P, though I won't say who Precisely) so it's refreshing to get to work with honest people who do top-notch work! ATC will remain my first call for plumbing work.

Great service. Our faucet was coming on automatically and running water. It was on a Friday night and we had to leave to go out of town on Sunday. They answered our questions with a text and assured us they can fix it in the morning. They had the parts and got it fixed and they knew where to turn the water off in our condominium building. They charged us a reasonable price which was what I would expect on just a regular call on a weekday. Much better experience than I've had before with other plumbers.

Very Friendly and Prompt Service Until an Issue Afterwards, then Nothing.

We called Around the Clog to have two items taken care of:
1) The water pressure setting was a bit too low (45 pps) and needed to be increased to around 65 pps.
2) Our liquid propane grill needed to be converted to use natural gas.

Heather, who helped us schedule the appointment was very friendly and scheduling was a breeze. Doug who performed the work was also quite friendly and seemed knowledgable about the work being done.

The water pressure change went off without a hitch. Doug was also able to swap the liquid propane regulator to the grill with a natural gas regulator and tested that the burners worked.

The next day when we were trying to use the grill we could not get the grill temperature above 250 degrees when we would normally have been able to get it to 500 pretty quickly. I left a couple messages with Heather to have Doug call me so I could see what he thought the problem was but never heard back from him.

Afterward I did my own research on the Internet to see if others had the same problem I found that in addition to the regulator change the burner gas orifices also need to be changed to work with natural gas. If Doug new this, he did not mention it to me. If he didn't then perhaps he isn't as knowledgable as he seemed. Either way, it was a disappointment that probably could have been avoided.

Awesome! Came out and tried to diagnose why my septic system was backing up. He quickly found that the breaker on the outlet that the pump is hooked to had blown simple as that. Charged me a minimum fee to figure that out and was on his way. I love it when work gets done honestly and quickly, I would highly recommend them again in the future.

They were able to visit our house promptly and review the issue we were having- turns out they weren't going to be able to help us (ruptured water line in our foundation)- but they provided a great recommendation and even followed up to make sure we were set. I had an unexpected plumbing issue and depended upon reviews of fellow Yelpers to select a local plumbing company. Around the Clog got back to me promptly, scheduled an appointment for later that day, arrived on time, and were professional, competent, clean, and personable. I can't say enough nice things about Tonya and Doug. The week before Christmas, my little sister's water heater went out. She and her family went a week without hot water. I requested several bids on yelp to complete the job on a Saturday morning. Despite being closed, not only was Tonya quick to respond with the quote but she also made arrangements for Doug to come out within an hour. Doug was prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable. The job was completed in a reasonable amount of time and at the price we agreed upon. Of all the quotes I received, Doug and Tonya's was the best - in some cases several hundred dollars less than their competitors. I'll recommend them to anyone who will listen.

Wow - thorough, kind, timely. I couldn't ask for better plumbers. Why did it take so long for my husband and I to find this crew? We had a leaky outside spigot, a bathroom sink that would just not drain, and a faucet in the kitchen that kept twirling around - and this crew fixed it all.

Wow! What a contrast to the big, impersonal outfits (Time, Precision, etc.) that routinely bait with a low price but never actually deliver the services for the advertised price.

Doug is just the kind of person that you want to help you: honest, responsive and reasonably priced. He may not give the lowest initial quote, but he won't jack the price up, either. Just one fair cost.

If you want to get a pro on the job and have your issue addressed the right way, call Around the Clog. I won't call anyone else as long as I live in this area.

Wow!!! What other plumbers told me couldn't be done without re-modeling my whole bathroom, Doug and his crew did it! I'm in a wheelchair and use a shower chair in bathtub because the stand-up shower was too narrow of a space for a wheelchair in our condo. All I wanted was to have a new bathtub faucet replaced so my handheld shower sprayer could be used. Since we have a Roman bathtub with only one handle for on/off & hot/cold that was a push-on faucet (not threaded like normal), plumbers from ALL AROUND Denver & Boulder were puzzled. Either they didn't call me back or they were trying to push us for an entire re-model of our bathroom.

Doug came over yesterday and, in 4 hours, they found the adapters and installed a better handle and MADE SURE it was user-friendly for me.

I would recommend them in a heartbeat. Thanks, Doug!!!!

Both times something disappeared from my home when he left. I called to find out what was going on, they blew me off acting as if I was in the wrong to dare ask this.

He's helped me out several times in the past, and today, he hooked up my new sink and faucet, and helped me wrap up the installation of my new dishwasher. I was really disappointed when, after reading all the great reviews of this company, and speaking to them by phone, and thinking they sounded like folks I really wanted to hire, and actually setting an appointment time for the following day, they completely stood me up. They didn't call, didn't show, and don't pick up their phone. I'd love to know why, when everyone else had such great luck with them, they would be so disrespectful of my time. It seems to be endemic these days, to hire someone, and they just blow off the whole thing, don't show up, don't call. Why? Is that how they would like to be treated?
